KOLLAPSE – AR

Kollapse est un trio de noise rock, sludge et metal expérimental de Copenhague, Danemark, composé de Peter Drastrup (batterie), Thomas Martin Hansen (Basse et chant) et de Peter Clement Lund (guitare et chant).

Le groupe s’est produit sur des scènes nationales et internationales et a participé à des festivals tels que A Colossal Weekend, Copenhagen Metal Festival, et joué avec des groupes tels que Nothing, KEN mode, YOB, LLNN, Møl, Imperial Triumphant et Orm.

Leur premier album « Sult » est sorti en 2021, ce nouvel intitulé « AR » via Head Records a été enregistré par Jacob Bredahl au Dead Rat Studio (DK) et Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City) pour maximiser l’énergie et la rage, Brad Boatright de Audiosiege (Sleep, Nails, Obituary, Yob) à masterisé les sept titres de ce disque.

Les titres machent du verre pillé et déroulent leurs viscères sonores avec lourdeur, ils atteignent les os et rongent jusqu’à la moelle. Peu importe que ce soit d'une manière agréable ou horrible, dans les deux cas, c'est satisfaisant. Il y a le côté vicieux d’Unsane, crucifiant chaque titre dans une tension palpable permanente, le cri de lutte n’en est que plus pétrifiant. La musique avance en lombric et ses crocs pernicieux viennent à vous comme une eau saumâtre qui vous engloutie à petit feu.

Anarchic, filled with bubbling resentment, violent, but never without reason. AR is less something you listen to, and more something you experience.

With titles alluding to the life cycle of an insect, AR (“Scars” for non-Scandinavians) deals with the human psyche in its most base forms. 2024 New Music Releases I Loved

It's that time of year again! Here's the list I've kept all year of brand new music that I adored throughout 2024, so nobody can tell you that there’s no new alternative music or that alternative music genres are dead. There is SO much good shit; this year has radically altered my music listening with the innumerable mind blowing releases. And realistically I’m well aware that this is barely even beginning to scratch the surface. This is just the stuff I personally listened to, but I know I’m missing TONS of stuff.

Purple text means it was a favorite of the year, but that doesn't mean I don't love the non-purple ones (they wouldn’t be listed if I didn’t recommend them!). It just means I haven't spent as much time with them, and/or they didn't shape my year in quite the same way as the purple ones did :)

Genres are being used pretty loosely to give broad ideas, don’t get too hung up on them.

5: CD Ghost's Vignette II — Dreamy, bright, and so nostalgic while still sounding very very now. Just kind of a perfect EP to be honest. "Constellations" is one of my favorite songs to come out this entire year.

4: tassel's A SACRIFICE: UNTO IDOLS — Like no other. I was able to witness one of the best shows I've ever seen, period. from this band earlier this year. So much style, coolness, and energy, with a fresh, heavy sound. Literally nobody is doing it like them. Meshing classic gothic rock, industrial, and power noise into one unrelenting nightmare album.

3: Profit Prison's GILT— Sleeper hit favorite for me. I had never even heard of Profit Prison until this year but this album is just so good from start to finish. Fallen asleep to it on long bus rides numerous times; it somehow has both a fun high energy quality and a sort of wistful melancholy. Super timeless, consistent, and pretty. Kinda can't get enough of it.

2: IAMX's Fault Lines2 — Was waiting for this one and it did not disappoint. I will fucking die on the hill that Chris Corner's recent outputs have been some of the best of his entire career. With irregular beats, heaviness, experimentation, modular synth, some of his best vocal performances, this album has, like, everything. "Neurosymphony" was my most listened to song this year, and "Infinite Fear Jets" and "Conflict Medication" are also two of my favorite things to come out of this year. But really, the whole album is just to die for. Incredible work as ALWAYS.

1: TR/ST's Performance — Album of the year. Performance is a perfect album. You kind of just need to hear it for yourself, start to finish, to believe it. A perfectly captured snapshot of the very end of a doomed relationship and all of the heartbreak, grief, relief, and regret that follow. I kind of don't have much else to say on this one. Experience it for yourself. TR/ST's magnum opus. Angel told me to say it's his Norman Fucking Rockwell!. The best single album to come out of this year for me. Instant classic in every way.

Slukkede min telefon og sov. I går. Sov uforstyrret. Hund vækkede mig på et tidspunkt for nogle timer siden, for at komme ud og gå. Lille snude-dut på kinden. Op og ud. Gabende og halvt sovende iført nattøj frem og tilbage i sneen. Søde hund. Hjem og kollapse begge to. Få varmen. Nu er vi vågnet og jeg tændte min telefon for at skrive til min mor. Og klokken er 15. Vildt. Troede måske den var 11.45 agtigt.

Men der er intet stress. Og jeg har tænkt mig at lægge min telefon væk igen når min mor har svaret. Kan mærke mere og mere lyst til at være analog. Nokia 3310 følelsen. Udelukkende tumblr fra min computer, like back in the days. Den energi.

Skal have hjælp til at handle. Holder øje med huse til leje i provinsen. Har ik fomo. Byen giver mig angst. Skal ik tilbage til Kbh. Skal bo i natur og lave alt muligt underligt med sygt meget plads. Og besøge venner og sådan. Måske i fremtiden et hjem i københavn. Men lige nu vil jeg ærligt bare lytte til mig selv, og fuck hvor drastisk det kan lyde. Jeg vil finde et hjem nær hav og marker til mig og hund. Tage kørekort i år. Eller finde en billig brugt ladcykel. Og leve sådan:) det må man jo godt:) fuck min idé om den vilde ungdom - jeg passer ikke ind i den drøm. Jeg passer ind i højbede og byg selv drivhuse og et værksted hvor alt mit værktøj kan bo. Jeg passer til bitte små supermarkeder og stier uden sten og gummistøvler og uldundertøj. Jeg passer også til gigantiske tatoveringer og udflugter på museum og ud for at se vikinge-ting og sidde og lodde mine egne instrumenter. Hund uden snor. Eller hund i meget lang snor. Dét liv. Besøg af venner. Tomater fra haven. Ja tak<3
