if i had a nickel for every time an immortal robert sheehan character has been buried alive in a tv show i’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

i am so excited to see this man in action for season 4. it's going to be full one tarot card, séance readings, all round witch shit. which is what i've wanted since day one.
the fashion, the vibe, the pose. beautiful. its giving klaus season one or the closest we'll get to season one.
and klaus season one will always be famous. the jewellery. the background, yes it dingy and grimy but im obsessed. i have way too many feelings on how good he looks.
i would prefer he had his curls but im willing to overlook it for this absolutely impeccable picture.
i am so excited to see him hopefully use his powers and maybe even enjoy using them. still worried about the damn tower tarot card but this. this is everything ive wanted in klaus.
when i think about klaus, this is damn near perfect to what i think. add curls and it is perfect.

Things Klaus doesnt, do.
- klaus mikaelson doesn’t just hold a grudge—he frames it, hangs it on the wall, and stares at it for a thousand years.
- klaus doesn’t just burn bridges—he builds them first, sets them on fire, then stands there watching, sipping wine and thinking about how poetic it all is.
- klaus doesn’t just make enemies—he collects them like fine art, framing each one as a testament to his eternal pettiness.
- klaus doesn’t just hold on to trauma—he throws it a party, invites all his enemies, and makes it a night to remember.
- klaus doesn’t let things ‘blow over’—he weaponizes them, turns them into plot points, and makes sure everyone knows he’s never truly moved on.
- klaus doesn’t ‘get over things.’ he builds entire cities of regret, decorates them with melodrama, and gives guided tours to anyone who’ll listen.
- klaus doesn’t do ‘moving on’—he writes it down in blood, seals it with a vow, and revisits it every century with fresh vengeance in his eyes.

Why do you think Klaus not into Bonnie? It felt like he should have been.
Tumblr media
I guess it depends on what you mean by "into" Bonnie.
I personally don't think Klaus would have been romantically into anyone in TVD and anything else was just random fanservice. Klaus had spent a thousand years attempting to undue his curse and 100 years running from his own family. He finally breaks the curse and is reunited with his family, only to do nothing? To sit around town and go to high school dances? This man is over 1,000 years old. I'm sorry, but he's not hanging out in a town with one bar and all the patrons are on vervain.
Klaus is power hungry and finally got all of the power he wanted. Why would he settle down in a small town? In the past, we saw him happiest when he was taking over cities like Chicago and New Orleans. Klaus wasn't in the mind to look for romance, he was looking to reclaim the power he felt was taken from him. Honestly, the only connection in TVD that made sense was "hate-banging" Hayley because there was zero love there. This fits Klaus' character at that time. He was still the man who felt like love was a weakness. Nothing that happened in TVD would have persuaded him overwise. TO had to spend the time and energy to convince him that loving someone else was worth it, something TVD didn't do because he was actively the villain.
Now if you're asking why he wasn't into Bonnie as a Bennett witch, it's cause of bad writing. Klaus loved powerful witches. He needed powerful witches. It would have been a better story line to watch him try to charm Bonnie into helping him (much like he did with Genevieve or Greta). But I can't see Bonnie falling for it and helping him in any shape or form without threats to her family. Even when he did threaten her, she hated him and tried not to help. Klaus was actively murdering people she cared about, torturing her and her friends, and all of his goals went directly against her own. Her mom got caught up in it all and killed. Hell, her mom abandoned her trying to keep Klaus' dad locked up. They were always on the opposite side of things, which would have made a team up hard, but no impossible.
I definitely find it out of character and just bad writing that he wasn't more focused on Bonnie while in town. If they just had to do another pedophilic story of minors getting with 100+ year old men, this would have been the one to tease. Like I said, Klaus liked to charm and flirt with his witches to get things done. The tension could have been fun, but I just can't see Bonnie taking it any further. The fact that Caroline did made me lose so much respect for her character. But at least with Bonnie, there would have been plot reasons for Klaus interacting with Bonnie. Cause again, Klaus seemed to have no plot or reason to be in TVD after Elena was turned. His presence made no sense, but maybe him trying to recruit Bonnie could have been something. But this would have given Bonnie a lot more storylines which the writers/producers hated to do.
I will say, I could see like an AU world of Klaus meeting Bonnie as an adult later in life, he would likely be into her. Bonnie and Cami have always reminded me of each other. And the qualities they share are the qualities Klaus loved in Cami.
Thanks for the ask!

could you imagine being Five? Having to bury your siblings at the age of 13, only being to vaguely recognise them via a tattoo on their arms?
only to get back to those people and realise that not only have they barely spoken to each other since he got lost. They barely liked each other at that point.
they loved each other yes, but liked? I don't think so.
And one died tragically young to a point where none of them talked about it.
i mean does Five even know how Ben died? Do you think Five looked for Ben only to not find him? Or did he find his statue and realise that Ben had been gone for years at that point?
imagine going from the young versions of them which weren't happy but happy enough. To the versions that he buried, only to realise they were probably just as lonely as he was.
Five trying to fix his family so nobody has to feel like him when they probably already have.

TUA Character Crimes - who's morally the worst?
...I made an inappropriate scoring table for this, this is not meant to be taken seriously. Having said that;
Warning: In order this table looks at which of the siblings have in the show or my opinion committed: Murder, Theft, Kidnapping, Torture, Sexual Assault, Coercion or Imprisonment when I look too deeply into it. This table looks at this with about as much severity as the show gives these issues. Please avoid if concerned.
Tumblr media
Scoring System: [the higher the worser]
I've added direct examples for some of them and not for others that I think are obvious - i.e. 5, 6 & 7's murder box, as the show makes that plainly obvious.
Also didn't include events that occurred for an alternate timeline of the characters (i.e. Day that Wasn't for everyone but Five, 1st time 'round in the 60's pre-Five's arrival and Hazel's do-over)
They get a single point for having committed a crime, but then the score for instances & severity of it is altered by the key of mitigating factors.
"Youtube Apology" - Insincere apology.
"Gun to my head" - Legitimate immediate danger.
"Off my meds" - A long-standing state of being has just been flipped.
"On my meds" - Chemical or long-standing Social influence / brainwashing going on at the time of the crime. This is not given for a crime taking place after a period of significant personal growth, but may be attributed to an earlier crime if there are multiple events.
I'm sure I missed things and any of this is up for discussion.
