This is my Otherkin Introduction post and will contain all/any info about me as an Otherkin. To learn more, continue reading below!

☽ 彡 Hi! I'm Acchan and I am a Kitsune Otherkin. 彡 ☾

I've been awakened to my otherkin identity for roughly 15 years now. if you count the moment I came to know of 'otherkin'. Before that, I just knew I was different from other people and didn't have a way to explain it.

As for being a kitsune, though, that wasn't always the case. I actually went through years of different identities, none lasting more than a year and always switching/cycling through. There was wolf, mountain lion, bear, otter, lemur, red panda, tiger, leopard, coyote, fox - and quite a few more. I even had shifts/identities were I thought I was a dragon and a fae. Yet, like I said, none of them last and I was confused for a long time. It was when fox kept coming back and sticking, kind of like a base form, that I looked further into the reasonings of why I kept shifting identities/forms. Why I kept so easily being able to feel phantom limbs and mental shifts of other animals/creatures when I wasn't them. Then it hit me - kitsune. Kitsune are shapeshifters and can take the form of pretty much whatever they want or feel the mood to be in. I wasn't entirely sure I was a kitsune, but fox certainly felt like the right start, so I studied myself more. I analyzed a lot of what I did, how my shifts were, jotting down every little detail I could until I had enough put together that I was positive in being a kitsune.

And that's where I'm at today! A proud kitsune living her life day by day.

ꕥ ⌗ Some Cool Facts ⌗ ꕥ

My kitsune identity lines up with the kitsune from Japanese mythology. It is also spiritual, meaning I feel as if I - the soul - reincarnated as a human to just chill and experience what humans experience. In all aspects of this life, I am human, but the real me, the soul driving this body around, is a kitsune.

As a kitsune, I am nogitsune, which just means I don't align with god Inari. Outside of all that, I still experience the typical animal instincts and urges of a normal fox, which is what I like to be known as in terms of simplicity. Just a fox who happens to have some extra tails.

... though I do love a good prank here and there. Hehe.

ꕥ ⌗ Shapeshifting ⌗ ꕥ

As a kitsune, I still experience shifts of animals/creatures. Some of these are involuntary as they switch with my emotions or in certain situations. Yet, my base is always Kitsune and that is my identity.

That said, here are the main forms I tend to shift into: - wolf (usually comes when I'm extremely angry) - leopard (not as common, but comes once in a while) - otter (only appears when I'm swimming or in/around water)

Some other forms that are rare but I still note down are: - red panda, husky, black bear.

I also will experience some extra limbs such as wings, but they are extremely rare for me to feel and only come from external stimuli (usually really windy days or if I'm on top of high spots).

Well, that about covers most of it. I think. I've never really done a 'otherkin' intro before, haha. Anyways, if you read this and got questions, feel free to ask me. Or, if you read this and now wanna be friends, then let's be friends!

Hibiki is the second and "heir" to the whole family house and business, needless to say that makes the boy pretty arrogant, he follows to impress his dad (Mika) before anything else. He wants that approval and due to it- it has made him pretty driven, passionate and hungry for power, like his dad in question, often described as a "kiss ass" by his other siblings.

Hibiki however is still young, that still runs through him, and deep down... he's still a bit of a goof- not that he'd ever want to admit it vocally, but the way he runs around with his siblings sometimes, and the way he can get so excited about painting and creatures- it's more than enough to show a glimmer of the true Hibiki under all that expectation.

(He's also the only blue one out of the lot! Having the kitsune equivalent of albinism)

I found a witch who is really new and I've started helping them with coming into the craft along with the witch who introduced me!!

I think I might get a coven soon!

I've been doing more intense tarot work recently, and I also let a more experienced witch poke around my ancestry and there were some interesting results.

I also showed my darlings the close by leyline and portal and introduced them to all the spirits of the land I grew up on. It's really nice and beautiful.

There's a lot to tell! I hope I'll pick up writing on here more :))

Onibi series took over my brain, The songs are so weird that it gave me a idea, I need to check my brain again! Also, I used some lyrics like lines that's it! It's not the same as the Onibi series. and is not connected even one bit with the story. It's just the kitsune thingy gave me a idea.

A Steady Stream

“Hey guys! It’s SleepyLunaHypno, back again with another Lil’ Luna stream!” said hypnosis streamer, Luna Hideri, kneeling on the floor and waving to the eyeball-shaped camera perched on the edge of their computer desk. Their heart raced as their heels sank into their padded rear, never letting them forget the fact they were currently double-diapered; a necessity considering what they were planning. “So, for tonight’s stream, we’re going to do something a little different.”

Sitting before a pair of earmuff headphones, Luna became flushed with arousal as they lifted them up and presented them for their viewers to gawk at; the spiral-painted sides filling their hypno-loving brain with horny thoughts. “Those who’ve been keeping up with me on Xwitter know I’ve been hard at work on a special secret project,” they said, increasing anticipation and viewership simultaneously. In real life, they were a shy fox who actively avoided others. But here, in the safety of their room with thousands of horny people watching their every move, they felt like a Goddess. Slipping the headphones over their ears, a lustful smirk curled across the kitsune’s face as they continued their opening monologue. “For the past two months, I’ve been hypnotizing myself Pavlov-style by listening to a pinging noise whenever I wet my diaper. And tonight, you’re going to help me test my progress.”

Unsurprisingly, the chat for Luna’s stream instantly blew up over the lascivious news, causing their watcher numbers to excel past their previous highs well before the fun had even started. This was definitely going to be their best stream yet. “Hehe! Happy to see everyone is as excited as I am!” they said, their tail wagging eagerly at the camera. “Each dollar given to my steam equals one ping in my headphones. I wonder how long it’ll take before I’m leaki–”

PING!

“W-Woah!” stuttered Luna, already receiving their first donation before they could finish their introduction. After weeks of dedicating themself through Pavlovian conditioning, part of them found it hard to believe a simple sound could cause them to lose all control. However, Mr. Ivan Pavlov’s classical hypothesis turned out to be resoundingly correct as urine gushed into the base of their inner diaper. “Holy crap! I-I actually did it! I’m really wetting myself!” Their libido was sent spiraling out of control as they fruitlessly rebelled against their body’s natural impulses.

PING! PING! PING! PING! PING!

Without warning, a large influx of monotonous dings impacted Luna’s eardrums, resulting in the grasp on their potty training further slipping away. “Oooh!” they moaned as they continued to piss themself silly with a seemingly endless amount of fluid. Stretching their neck upward to see their monitor, their eyes went wide with fear and fervor over the three-digit total they’d already amassed. Perhaps charging more than $1 per ping would’ve been wise. “I d-don’t think two diapers is gonna be enough…”

»A SPARK OF HOPE«

A fankid AU: Introduction

Circa 200 years into the future…

Past the death of the renowned, world famous hero: Sonic the Hedgehog, his immortal rival resides in a secluded location not many know about, or dare to stumble upon. He’s made himself a peaceful abode, isolated from the rest of the world— prying eyes or hands seeking his power or presence.

Shadow merely wishes to live without the stress of catastrophe weighing on his shoulders. And with the death of the biggest villain of the era- Doctor Robotnik, he succeeds for the most part- until a mysterious illness overcomes him, and he’s forced to reach out for help.

Upon wandering to the familiar-yet-changed Emerald Town, Shadow spots a recognizable logo on a building.

With curiosity and intrigue, the ebony hedgehog makes his next exploration the inside of this tall establishment.

No, it will not stay this well formatted most of the time. Guess I just felt like putting effort into it.

This au focuses around Tails, Shadow, and my fankid, Sparks! (No ships between these three, although they do end up as a family of sorts.) (+ Silver, who exists around this time, gets to be the cool cousin of sorts)

Shadow, as described, had isolated himself for quite a few years. And got an illness. But it’s far from mysterious.

His inhibitor rings have rusted and aren’t as effective as they were, well, 200 years ago, causing his chaos energy to run irregularly and make him fatigued/sick. Of course, it was a gradual process, so it was a little difficult to have spotted it right away. And when you’re sick, the obvious becomes… less obvious?

During this lengthy intermission between supposed canon and au, (I may go off canon quite a bit. I’m not professionally well versed in all the Sonic lore…) Miles Prower (formedly gone as “Tails” for his iconic two tailed ‘mutation’) had grown rather successful. A well-off entrepreneur of his own brand. He lives comfortably, although he does lack the bonds he once had.

As a kitsune, Miles’ life expectancy is lengthened, and gaining another tail every 100 years. He had existed much past his more mortal friends and allies, but pushed forwards to a brighter future, sort of. In this time, he has developed more of his kitsune oriented abilities, taking a favor to illusions.

Shadow wanders upon the main building, the HQ erected at Emerald Town, where his house once was. As Shadow wanders, Miles is aware of the old friend bumbling through the building and decides to play a little prank with some illusions and the high tech security measures he has installed in the building. (Nothing harmful, promise)

Once Shadow reaches the top, Miles reveals himself with a bold act of bravado. As of which they have some reunion and reaccqeuaintence time. Shadow explains his problem to Miles, Miles points out the problem and offers to make Shadow new inhibitor rings (and fix his air shoes in the process). Afterwards, he offers a residence for Shadow with him, but the hedgehog refuses, intending to return to his reclusive life.

On his path of return, he comes across a kid, sitting alone in the rain.

He resembles someone.

Spiky blue quills colored like the wind and the sky, peachy fur on his chest and muzzle. Pointed ears, although a bit droopier.

He sat with his legs pressed against his chest, on the edge of the sidewalk. Alone, yet he wears an expression closer to irritation rather than fear or melancholy.

After some questioning, he discovers that the kid ran from an orphanage, one he describes as nasty and disrespectful to him, like gum sticking his shoe to the floor. He describes that he had ran, to find some freedom. He’s a fast runner, you know? Maybe if he can get faster and faster, he may actually break the barrier keeping him chained to the orphanage.

When the sky darkens, illuminating the moon and the stars, Shadow stands. To lead the kid back to where he should be encourages him to have hope, but without acting to give him it. Words are empty when actions don’t reflect it.

The kid begs to let him free. Lead him somewhere else, not back to his prison. No one will take him back in the orphanage. He deserves to be free. He can take care of himself out here- a string of reasons to grasp why he shouldn’t go back.

Shadow continues to walk in silence.

Perhaps it was pity. Shadow would like to believe it is, but it’s hard to describe the pull of his actions towards another decision. He felt this was right, despite denial weighing on this choice.

Shadow returned to the tall building, where Miles— although surprised to see his return— welcomed him back warmly. When asked for the reason of his return, Shadow provides a rather bashful explanation.

He doesn’t know how to take care of a child.

Eyyyy it’s the old man (quite literally at this point. He’s like 200+ years??). How did he survive all those years in isolation without going insane?? I have no idea. He probably talks to the animal inhabitants of the place he lived in I think. I like to think maybe he found himself an ancient library to make himself at home and spent most of his time reading books and doing house chores.

To be honest I tried to reference other Shadow redesigns because I also wanted to put some more Black Arms traits on him, but I honestly don’t know know much about the Black Arms so all he got was a longer tail <3

He’s a tiiiny bit pinker in this design. Like the red highlights on his quills are more pivoted towards the pink on the color wheel, and the white fur also has a tint of pink. No reason. He just gets to be slightly pinker. As a treat.

Anyways, you may be wondering, why didn’t Shadow take the offer of staying with Miles the first time? After being alone without friends were so long, you would think he is drawn to the idea of having company again. Well, the thing is, I think that Shadow hates change, in a way. He’s drawn himself away from society, lived self sustained, without the pressures and all that. Suddenly, he gets the offer to reintegrate into a society he is not well versed in? Seems incredibly overwhelming. And Shadow believes he was perfectly content in his serene lifestyle.

He only reconsidered the second time because he doesn’t know how to take care of the kid he freshly adopted (and probably not correctly adopted either) and only thought of Tails for help. As far as he knows, Tails is the only other old friend that exists alongside him right now so…

This sets up the story of Shadow and Tails tries to take care of this kid and slowly forms into a type of found family that doesn’t quite fit into the boundaries of what a family would be like. They are not even close to traditional family roles, I think, other than a child-parent relationship between Shadow and Sparks (who I have yet to introduce)

During this story, Shadow gets back into the action of adventure again. He’s reminded of the exhilaration he felt in the past. Even little things such as banter and skating down hill. He missed it all, although he doesn’t admit it.

Here is Miles!! He dropped the name “Tails” after a while, deeming it something he doesn’t identify as deeply with anymore. (Maybe because no one was around to call him that old nickname anymore)

So you know how I mentioned he’s become an entrepreneur of sorts? It was bound to happen, I think. Imagine living 200+ years and still not figuring out how to earn the most money and live comfortably.

Anyways, while coloring his design, I did realize that he vaguely reminds me of Eggman… it’s probably the red, gold and white colors. Fits him well though, yeah? He always did share some traits with Eggman, I think. He just turned out more benevolent, he still has the high tech tendencies that Eggman held, as well as other habits.

I think Miles had earned some of an ego over time. When most acquaintances leave(died), and you rise to the top, everyone feels so far. And Miles stop bothering to seek out meaningful relationships to save him some suffering. He can still have fun, he can still have friends- just not with the strong intimate bond he had with his initial family.

When Shadow returned, he felt a spark- the hope- the opportunity to have a semblance of the old life again. Nostalgia is a strong feeling. That is why he offered for Shadow to stay. He didn’t expect him to, but that didn’t stop his heart from swelling with joy when Shadow did return.

Here is Sparks! The kid Shadow picked off the street yaknow yaknow… He is meant to resemble Sonic. Not uncannily resemble him though. Just enough that both Shadow and Tails can look at him and think… he kind of reminds me of his other blue hedgehog I had a deep connection with….

Part of why Shadow adopted Sparks is honestly because of his resemblance to Sonic. He would not like to acknowledge it, as it seems like such a cruel thing to give the hope of a new connection to someone that doesn’t know that that new connection did not start off new at all in the other side.

Of course, Sparks acts nothing like Sonic, despite similar appearances. Even though Sparks also shares the same sentiments— wanting freedom— as well as abilities— such as superspeed— Sparks acts more towards the pessimistic side. He’s not as charming as Sonic had been. (And although he does have superspeed, I believe it’s not to the extent that Sonic had.)

Additionally, when Shadow had been taking him back to the orphanage, he really wasn’t forced. Sparks intended to follow him back. Perhaps out of habit. And inevitable loop of escaping but returning once again. But also because if cowardice, knowing he wouldn’t be able to make it by himself. He’s immature, he’s inexperienced, Sparks is aware of that, yet still tries- only to the extent of what he knows he can succeed: aka running away, but never staying away. His cowardice is one of the traits he does not share with Sonic.

During his description of the orphanage to Shadow, he’s a bit of an unreliable narrator. The orphanage isn’t as miserable as Sparks describes it as. It’s a pretty normal orphanage, Sparks is just a troublemaker- and he hates the idea of being trapped in one place.

Anyways, Sparks resembles a star of sorts. He’s a little star themed. <3

yori is fumiki and heres why: my manifesto

or: wait, we werent all on the same page about this?

i should have written this when i first read chapter 98, but im only getting around to it now. this is less me trying to convince you, the reader, and more hoarding all my collected thoughts on why yori is absolutely fumiki, if its a red herring its a silly one, and if he isnt or if its left ambiguous forever i will eat crow. here we go:

before i start let me say most of my evidence is the way yamazaki frames him visually rather than solid "proof." comics are an artform, theres a reason things get framed the way they do, and her artistic choices in ch 98 (i feel) are meant to serve as a big blinking neon light that says "you should be feeling this way about xyz right now"

iic, there were rumblings of "the young auditor" being fumiki as far back as his introduction in ch 51 due to to his unique ability:

which is essentially a refined version of fumikis innate ability to keep fae away. we know yori is part of a "family business," and it seems appropriate that with the proper training, he would be able to freeze fae in their tracks rather than simply ward them off

unfortunately this is where "evidence" ends and "vibes" begin

chapter 51 didnt get adapted into what was otherwise a pretty faithful adaptation in season 2, and i understand why - theres a lot going on, and this chapter is fairly out of left field. but theres one other quip that got left out of season 2:

this is a one-off thought that wouldnt have been difficult to include in the anime. imo, i believe this line from ch 62 didnt get animated because we hadnt met fumiki yet like we did in the manga. now, onto more recent chapters... (under a read more because this is going to get pretty long)

chise and yoris first meeting is framed in a very purposeful way. in chapter 98, elias is preoccupied with ousting all the outsiders so that he and chise can be alone, stuck on the idea that "christmas is for family only:"

and three pages later, who do we meet?

im really struck by the way chise and yori are drawn together here. personally, i dont read this as "chise is meeting a new unimportant side character," this is "the strings of fate have pulled us miraculously back together again"

waiter! waiter! can i get an order of drifting sakura petals and sparkles with this panel? am i waxing poetic here or do you see it? the way theres no background drawn here, no other characters, even in later pages when we know elias is standing right behind chise, he doesnt get included in frame so that its just the two of them:

while im at it, can we appreciate how theyre wearing the same outfit? black pants and a hip-length dark coat/sweater with oversized pockets, a collar, and six left-sided buttons. yoris dark gloves also evoke chises cursed arm here but i dont want to risk looking like a maniac any more than i already do. i mean... dude, look at them, theyre matching

speaking of matching, lets pop back to 51 for a sec

both yori and chise have canine familiars! actually, it looks like yori might have multiple - look at all those pokeballs i mean bamboo tubes in his coat. if my memory serves, we didnt know yori was japanese at this point, but everyone assumed so because of the appearance of this familiar... which was another log on the "this might be fumiki" fire

fun fact: this little dude is almost certainly a kuda-kitsune, which were said to be kept in tubes and summoned by a soothsayer, who could use it to perform curses, or tell the past and future

and the drama with which we find out his "name":

"i bet you were expecting me to say fumiki, huh. good luck im not giving you that this early you have to work for it." as far as aliases go, "ri" could be derived from "hatori," but neither of the kanji in "fumiki" can be read as "yo," so its probably just random

after yori leaves, we get another repetition of "christmas is for family," which at this point feels like yamazaki is leading us to water and dunking our head in it:

i think its awfully convenient that ruth was absent for chises exchange with yori. do you think he would have been able to smell that theyre related? or whiffed the kuda-kitsune in his coat?

right after this, too, we get this line from elias which i have been thinking about a lot:

theres a few different ways this could be read, so im not married to any one interpretation, but it could be foreshadowing "if chise decides to pursue a relationship with her estranged family, what will i do then?" as gabriella would say, "i hate to be a third wheel"

given what we have seen of yoris aloof personality, i have to imagine there will be drama if/when the reveal is made. sadly i can picture him actually pushing chise away if she tries to reestablish a relationship with him

now! that is pretty much where my thoughts end, but i do want to share questions/doubts i have:

if yori read all of simons reports to determine he was an unfit observer, there is no way he doesnt know chises full name. i wonder whether he had any reaction to it? he may assume that its just a coincidence. i briefly wondered if the hatori name was an invention by yuuki, until i remembered that the family chise stays with in the OVA also has the same name. unless yuuki was adopted by another family like seth...? dont mind me, im going pepe silvia mode over here

have i mentioned i talked about yuuki before in another theory post? take it with a grain of salt, i already got proven wrong on one front now that jasper has been introduced

will yuuki be reintroduced if fumiki is? i desperately want chise to get that closure, but this scene from ch 42 has a sense of finality to it, a sort of "you will never get to resolve things with your father or see his side of things" stank:

... actually, now that ive mentioned the kuda-kitsune, can we look at this thing again?

another word for the kuda-kitsune is "izuna," which is read in modern japanese as "weasel." could the critter whos watching yuuki here come from the same place as yoris familiars? yuuki leaves his family immediately after this - getting summoned maybe?

What does Leo full shredder armor look like?

Is the story going to take place where krang makes the shredder armor and controls him like with what happened with orku saki or did the foot clan brainwashed Leo and made him into the shredder?

How does Raph and the family react to this?

Would the spirits of Orku Saki, Karai or any of the hamato clan play a major role in the au?

And is Jennika, kitsune, Lita, Artemisia, bludgeon, or koya ?

(And I apologize in advance for asking so many questions, but this au looks cool and stroked my interested)

I’m still working on the design for Shredder!Leo. So far it can be seen in my Brutus animatic! I’m flip flopping between what I can add to give it something extra so because haven’t landed on anything concrete yet these are certainly not the final looks but…

The Kraang will not be involved in the Shredder!Leo storyline, but they will come later!

Raph will play a big role in saving Leo

I’ve gone over the major changes I’ve made to Saki in the timeline post, as well as Kitsune

Karai’s character will be double the fun! One version will be like 2012 Splinter’s daughter and there will be Gram-Gram Karai, as a spirit who helps the family (see the timeline post for a more in depth explanation)

I do love Lita and wanna fit her in somehow. Jennika has a design and her introduction is planned. The others might make appearances, but so far nothing in the works story wise

I am a human farmer raising chickens. Last night, I discovered that a kitsune went into the coop and took one of my chickens to eat. At first I thought it was a normal fox, but then I saw the multiple tails. I know that the kitsune has to eat too, but is it possible I could reason with the kitsune so that I can continue raising chickens?

Dear Farmer,

We're very grateful that you are willing to reason with your unexpected visitor, it is only natural that you want to protect your chickens.

Kitsune can be challenging to deal with, because they are rather unpredictable. Some frequently take a human shape, others never do. Likewise some of them seem unable or unwilling to speak any human language and others are perfectly happy to have a conversation.

In general, however, it is appropriate to approach a kitsune in fox shape as an animal and a kitsune in human shape as a human. With the appropriate caution and respect, of course. This does not mean you have to allow them to harm your livestock. And if protection was your first priority, we would recommend a guard dog or magical wards.

But if you want to give a show of goodwill, you could try leaving the kitsune a gift. In our experience they are extremely partial to fried food, particularly meat and tofu. An offering of that kind might be a good way to secure an introduction.

If you'd like any further help, we can check in with the Lunar Institute. Being in the business of helping shapeshifters, they have some contacts in the Kitsune community as well.

chapter nine - charm bells

time has a tendency to fade away anything, stories, history or even people. kitsune's were mainly the stuff of legend nowadays, folklores and stories. and all tales were pretty much the same but you were just glad that your ancestors tales weren't completely forgotten just yet. and within your small village, your legend was as strong as ever, your ancestors looking after it for years and now it has been your turn.

the shrine was a short walk away from the village and it could be seen from the village. even within today's day and age the people of the village honoured the traditions from centuries ago, and in turn you protected the village. even though you weren't that old yet, you still had taken on the responsibilities and held then with pride.

the mission that had come through to the hunting dogs was interesting. it did not seem that it would be a particular threat but it the location was peculiar. it was in a very rural area with the nearest civilization being a small village. and much to jouno's dismay it would take about 5 - 7 days roughly. that meant they would have to find somewhere to stay for that period to ensure the mission was completed. teruko had suggested staying at the village as she thought it would be better and the commander agreed almost instantaneously with a yes. and so here he was, dreading an almost weeks stay at a rural village for a mission.

being at the village was not the part that annoyed him, it was the fact that the commander insisted that such a long stay was necessary. in fact the village was quite the nice place if he was being honest, the people were nice and it had a lovely location from what he had heard. but there was something that caught his attention unlike anything else, the shrine. he understood it was a traditional village but it still intrigued him with how the shrine still stood proudly.

between his mission he had managed to talk to some locals who had explained some brief history of the shrine to him. how unlike some still standing shrine's theirs was still blessed by the kitsune who looked after it and how they still used it to honour that fact. this only engaged his curiosity some more. maybe he could pay a visit soon.

it was roughly around the third day of the mission and the scouting had completed, all that was left was to actually take action. and the day was starting to come to a close, as the almost picturesque sight of the sun setting on the village jouno set out for the shrine. it took a few wrong directions, but eventually he could tell he got there. it had a slightly different atmosphere to it and he could hear the plaques that hung either side almost rattle in the wind.

while he may not of been able to actually see it, he could tell that it was rather stunning. but he quickly picked up on another presence, one that was watching him from afar. you had watched him walk all the way to the shrine, his appearance was quite interesting in your opinion and your eyes were naturally drawn to the little bell that hung of the ribbon connected to his ear. you did feel a bit weird for watching him, but he was a new face and you were curious as to why he was here.

over time, he became more aware of the pair of eyes that followed him wherever he went. they somehow felt mischievous yet responsible but he eventually got fed up of whoever was looking at him. so, unafraid of who it may be, he called out. this surprised you but you quickly became even more entertained by him and felt kind enough to go introduce yourself. it was obvious to you that he was blind but had incredibly heightened senses so you made no effort to try and hide your presence, beside he already knew.

jouno had heard you stand infront of him, he immediately could sense the power that you held and could assume just who you where. and upon your introduction, he no longer had doubts in who stood before him. he did feel quite honoured that the shrine's kitsune themself had taken interest in him. and thus started quite the conversation between you and the hunting dog. he had felt as if it was one of the first genuine conversations he had enjoyed having with someone.

unfortunately time had been passing way quicker than either of you would like and jouno had to depart. but he had plans to return as soon as possible. throughout the whole of the next day, jouno kept thinking about the whole encounter and every time he was near his eyes would naturally wander to the shrine practically counting down the seconds. but one thing in particular he could not stop thinking about was how he felt your eyes look at his earring most of the times did you like it? did it look weird? maybe he could get you one.

jouno had suddenly become aware of how strange he was acting. he had barely known you for a few hours and yet you occupied his thoughts constantly. you also seemed to stir something within him that he couldn't quite place yet. no, he was just being ridiculous it would pass when they left. but then here he was yet again at your shrine with the hopes of talking to you again. and that kept going until he had to depart.

for some reason, he felt sad. the thought of never being able to regularly talk to you crushed his heart. the night before he departed he went to talk to you for a final time, even telling you that he was going hurt and for you, it was the same. you avidly looked forward to your conversations with jouno every night and now you realised that would probably never happen again. jouno didn't know what came over him, but he impulsively reached for his earring and presented it to you.

you took it without hesitation after he said woth a rather red face that he had a spare in his bag and clipped it to your ear, maybe with this you would have something to remember him by. and before he left for the final time you didn't think about what you were doing and hugged him. and he hugged back. the trip back to the headquarters felt painfully long, constantly thinking about you. his co-workers thought he was possessed.

the shrine also felt more empty without him showing up and you felt down for a while, unable to figure out what these feelings were. and the more time he spent away from your village the more he became aware of his feelings, perhaps he could take some time of to visit you again.
