Hello everyone!!

My name is Lena Khames, a 27-year-old wife to my husband, Mohammed, and a proud mother of three beautiful children: our daughter Yasmmen and our two sons, Ali and Adam.

We come from Al-Zahraa in the Gaza Strip. I have a diploma in e-commerce, but our once stable and hopeful life has been shattered by the devastation of war, leaving us struggling to rebuild.

Our world collapsed when a missile targeted our home, reducing it to rubble in an instant 💔. The home we had built with $40,000, a place where we had hoped to raise our children in peace, was completely destroyed. We have been left homeless, with nothing but memories of what we once had.

Our family has been forced to move repeatedly 💔due to the conflict. After being displaced from our home by military force to a supposedly "safe" area, we quickly learned there is no safe place in Gaza. Each time the danger intensified, we had to flee again, struggling to protect our children from the violence that surrounded us. Today, we live in a tent under unbearable conditions, without even the most basic necessities.

In one of the many attacks, my husband, already suffering from a previous injury, was seriously wounded in his leg 💔. He now requires continuous medical care and a special device to help him walk again. To make matters worse, my husband lost his brother Mahmoud in the conflict—his brother died in his arms while they were inspecting the ruins of our home. The emotional and physical pain has weighed heavily on him, and on all of us.

Adding to our burden, my husband also lost his car—the sole source of income for our family— 💔 which had cost him $20,000. This loss has left us without any means of financial support, making it nearly impossible to care for our children and ensure their safety.

We are seeking to raise €100,000 to help secure a temporary place for our family, as we are currently living in a tent and our children desperately need a safe and stable environment. The funds will also allow us to begin rebuilding our home, which was destroyed, and restore the stability and hope we once had. The first signs of the crash were further up the beach, when the tide must have been high. A piece of scrap metal jutted out from the sand, half-buried in the tan grains. Sonic picked it up, dusted it off, and flipped it over on his hand, inhaling sharply when he saw the curved white letters.

The painted “S” looked up at him.

He knew this font, had painted it himself.

Sonic dropped the metal sheet and rushed down the beach, cursing under his breath as his shoes slipped through the sand while he beelined for the water. 

The crashed plane was definitely the Tornado, and it was bad too. It was as if she had been chewed up and spit out onto the coastline, her remains left to rust.

The teen begged silently that he wouldn’t find the pilot, hoped that its owner had gotten away safely.

Except, he did find the pilot.

Tails was cradled in a metal casing, the fractured shell sharp and violent like a broken ribcage.

The kit was soaked to the skin, eyes glassy, and a small bundle of acorn barnacles clung to his left cheek as water dribbled out of his mouth and nostrils. A large chunk of his right leg was missing, the bone underneath left pure white from the salt of the ocean. The little fox had been impaled too, a pointed piece of fuselage cutting straight through his stomach. There wasn’t any blood, all of it having been washed away by the pounding waves.

Tails looked scared, pupils shrunken down to pinpricks in his last moments.

The crashing of the water in Sonic’s ears suddenly felt like a taunt.

So after the time I coincidentally microwaved Tails on his birthday back in October, I decided to commit to the bit again

Y'know... since he has two birthdays (16th October and 21st November)

Also. Because on top of these two screenshots, I've had some of my friends ask me to make Tails explode for some reason

I tried a lot of new things in this project, mostly revolving around other methods for masking objects (Luma key my beloved and utterly despised), and a little bit of messing around with colors to get Tails to look a little bit more like he's behind the window rather than on top of it

I even made a crude texture to mimic the mesh over the microwave's window

Here's what the Fusion tab looks like in my Davinci Resolve project, it's... almost readable...

i had to fullscreen the window just so i could zoom in enough to see the text

Screenshot I took that looked cute, before turning up the saturation on Tails in the final video lol

There's still a ton of issues that I have with the video, mostly because I couldn't really get Tails to look like he's behind the door (without it looking even jankier)

Also throw in a good ol' dose of wack motion tracking (surprise surprise it's hard to track a reference object when it goes completely into shadow LOL)

But ehh for a first attempt I'm pretty happy with the result

I might try doing something like this in the future, when I have time
