ROOM
you enter the world’s quietest room and realize that you have been singing for years
in a soft, unusual language
you discover mouths all over yourself they want things now
*
SOMETHING ELSE
I know you casually hold the belief that it’s
always nighttime in space
wrong
it’s always something else

CRYING STORY
I’m not crying because I’m in pain, I said, I’m crying because the pain is uninteresting.
she took one hand off the steering wheel and found my shoulder in the dark.
the pain will be interesting soon, she said.

#25 Summation, reflections and plans for 2024
Now that the calendar is over I want to wrap things up with some thoughts and facts about of what have been and what is coming.
The calendar
In this calendar I've written about 24 series that have meant something to me through my life. There are other series I might actually like more than some of them today, but they've all changed how I see things or how I feel about a certain subject. I started of with M*A*S*H, which will always be my all time favourite and which came into my life early. I ended with Julie and the Phantoms, which just recently came into my life and about which I still have a lot to learn. Some posts almost wrote themselves, while others needed some rewatches and reminiscing.
Here are all the posts:
#1 M*A*SH
#2 The Big Bang Theory
#3 Gilmore Girls
#4 Sex and the city
#5 Oc
#6 How I met your mother
#7 New Girl
#8 Please like me
#9 Modern family
#10 Glee
#11 Gossip Girl (2007)
#12 Miss Fisher's murder mysteries
#13 Tales of the city (2019)
#14 Hollywood
#15 Grace and Frankie
#16 Bridgerton
#17 Young Royals
#18 Emily in Paris
#19 Find me in Paris
#20 Sex Education
#21 Ginny and Georgia
#22 Heartstopper
#23 Xo Kitty
#24 Julie and the Phantoms
Other series/movies that were recommended in posts
Never have Iever, Angus, thongs and perfect snogging, Anne with an E, Queen Charlotte - a Bridgerton story, Younger, Girls, Skam, Élite, Skins, Atypical, Pose, A secret love, Boys in the band, Minx, Tales of the City (1993), More Tales of the City, Further Tales of the City, Looking, Queer as folk, Glamorous, Orange is the new black, Everything's gonna be ok, Nanette/Something special/Douglas, The Good Place, Friends, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, How I met your father, Scrubs, Beverly Hills 90210, 90210, One tree hill, Dawso n's creek, Hart of Dixie, Young Sheldon, Gilmore Girls - a year in the life, Grown-ish, M*A*S*H (1970) and After MASH.
The list for 2024
I stream A LOT of media, and mostly series, some weeks up to 40 hours. This because I usually have something on in the background, it makes me focus even better. I work from home about half the time and the TV is always on, on these days. But it's normaly rewatches and comfort series and I have a hard time starting new ones. So, to help with this, my goal for 2024 is to complete a list of series I want to watch, but haven't dealt with yet. I might not complete them all if I don't like them, but the goal is to start them all.
The unlisted
The irregulars
Raising Dion
Cloak and Dagger
Never have I ever
Everything sucks
Heartbreak high
Elite
Derry Girls
Umbrella academy
Bodies
White Lotus
My life with the Walter boys
The Crown
Minx, season 2
Smiley
BONDING
Everything Now
Todas las veces que enamoramos
Dead to me, season 3
Love and anarchy, season 2
Cunk on earth
Survival of the thickest
Kitz
Julia
Parks and Recreation
The Flight Attendant
It's a Sin
Gentleman Jack
The Sex Lives of College Girls
The Comeback
This is us
Griselda
I'd love to get other tips you think I might like to add to the list! it's mostly Netflix, HBO Max and Disney+ that works, but feel free to tip on anything.
New seasons in 2024
Apart from new discoveries I'll surely get back to some old favourites from time to time. And some of them have some very interesting updates coming up.
Young Royals, season 3 (March)
Bridgerton, season 3 (May 16th and June 13th)
Emily in Paris, season 4
Heartstopper, season 3
Ginny and Georgia, season 3
Confirmed seasons but not confirmed year
Bridgerton, season 4
XO Kitty, season 2
That 90's show, season 2
Ginny and Georgia, season 4 (2025)
Thank you.
Thanks to all of you who've hade the patience to read at least one of these posts. I made them mostly for myself, to be honest, but I'm always glad if someone else enjoys it too! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you!

For the record, I would watch the hell out of a Huell Babineaux spinoff.
Walter White's story was a blend of western and noir.
El Camino was a gritty and melancholic action-drama.
Saul's prequel was mostly a courtroom procedural/satire, and the romantic subplot ultimately hijacked the rest of the story.
My treatment for "Slippin' Kimmy" leans heavily on being a psychological thriller which feels like it's threatening to turn into gothic-horror at any moment. I want to borrow a lot from independent and foreign films of the late 60's/early 70's ("Suspiria", "Let's scare Jessica to Death", "Wicker Man", etc.).
But if you got the right cast for it, a light-hearted sitcom about Huell's extended family in Louisiana could be extremely watchable.
My attitude is that this is the Pop Corners era of Breaking Bad: the franchise already sold out its dignity with the failed cartoon shorts and the merchandising, why not just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. This story USED TO BE a self-contained narrative about one man's quest for power, but now fuck it; every character gets a spinoff, and the characters from those spinoffs get spinoffs, and we can just keep going like this forever, as long as the shows are plausibly set in some version of "the real world". As long as there's economic inequality and at least one character using unorthodox means to survive that inequality, we've got a show. There is no singular genre; there is no singular location and time period; every character has the potential to be the main character.
I've also heard some people say they want a show about Gus's childhood in Chile. Sure, that could work; they should do it; knock yourself out. But I wouldn't want to watch it because I think Gus is an insufferable hypocrite, and after BCS I'm REAL sick of him. But other fans like him, so give the people what they want.
Just let AMC keep milking this cash cow; it's a fun world to explore.

what would skyler think of mcwexler?
I think she'd get it on some level and maybe a little jealous (cos even when Walter wasn't the worst, they were pretty distant and Kimmy have their lulls but just love hanging out together) but also be like what the fuck at their codependency and kinks. if she doesn't understand what a milf is then she's not going to understand sibling kink.

dotae divorced is like a couple who got married too soon/bestfriends who decided to marry bc of tax benefits but they still care for eachother. they still live together and co-parent alongside johnny.
kunten is like they got married while drunk in vegas and they understand eachother enough to continue, but ultimately got divorced. ten pops around kun's to see the kids but also to make fun of him (they miss eachother). and that's the beauty of it all.
johnny is there as a parent but where did he come from? is he anyone's partner? probably not but he is there. also winwin being the kinda absent kinda irresponsible brother lmaooo real hes too laidback
also the fact that dream is structured as a bunch of dudes living together is funny bc its true. they all just clown on mark and baby jisung for fun. and renjun is an arsonist. theres drugs involved. wonder how chenle and jisung went all walter white and jesse pinkman... obsessed
stray kids really is bang chan and his 6 kids and his little brother! thankfully i dont think any of them bite. (but maybe im wrong?).
(also this is not shipping! i agree w you that shipping always feels weird bc theyre a family to me too! sorry for the long ask i do enjoy reading your blog!)
Yes! Best friends but they only married for legal benefits. That is the exact vibe. Haechan and Mark are Johnny's sons but he kinda just took on everyone as his kid. My favorite moment was when Johnny was helping Jungwoo read the menu in one of their New York videos it was so fatherly and sweet and reminds me of when my best friend does that for me it's not in a different language I just get anxious and she helps me order. And I jokingly call her mom all the time. Yes and Ten goes around like I'm just here to see my boys not listen to you talk grandpa. Winwin literally just vibes and has his two favorite little brothers Renjun and Yangyang. And Renjun is Yangyang's cousin. Renjun with Wayv has the strongest cousin who never goes home vibes. Someone said he's like Kimmy Gibbler from full house. It's so true. If 127 is a frat house, Dream is like just a regular college dorm full of guys. And Jeno and Jaemin kind of are like the paternal brothers. Not parents. But like Nick Sturnolio if you watch the sturnolio triplets definitely part of the chaos but they still keep the boys in line and from hurting themselves. But the boys are up to all kinds of shenanigans. I think Lee know Jeongin, Seungmin and Han definitely bite though. I wouldn't put it past hyunjin to bite. I think people underestimate how feral he is. No no I can tell you're not. And right, once you see them as a little family, shipping is just even weirder.

But kimmie do help when the students are trouble to her to pretend to dress as the Ms Walter or make a robotic version of her to make the kids stoping being mean. She’s base of my middle school teacher and I always treasure her memories, she’s a orchid mantis which I’m very proud to make something of her. I hope you guys like her she’s a very sweet person

Loosely based on the Charles Dickens’ classic novel, “Great Expectations” is a sensual tale of a young man’s unforgettable passage into manhood, and the three individuals who will undeniably change his life forever. Through the surprising interactions of these vivid characters, “Great Expectations” takes a unique and contemporary look at life’s great coincidences.
