hey, thanks for rebloging so many amazing jeanmarco arts. im a slowpoke and got into them recently, it sucks that so many amazing artists deactivated their accs here on tumblr, so im glad someone reblogged it before ❤

hi! this may sound a little bit silly, but your ask just reminded me how easy it still was to interact with jeanmarco content back when I joined the fandom in 2021; big and small blogs were still around, lots of people were active, we even had a short-lived revival with the release of the last chapter and <spoilers> Marco’s inexplainable absence from that damn smoke. it was pretty great, so I’m really glad that my blog is making the same small contribution to the fandom experience of new fans as others have done for me 🥹

Current obsession: I'm still on my samurai bullshit and I recently bought a tsuba (sword handguard) that's estimated to be from Edo-period (about 1700s I was told). Also bought a Meiji-period ukiyo-e print and now I want more.... I'm also sewing like crazy (made a skirt yesterday and might get started on a dress later this week). Oh and I'm back into cosplay!

Currently reading: too much fanfiction… other than that, not much. i’ve been wanting to read hirano to kagiura again.

Current obsession: scum villain’s self saving system and tears of the kingdom ❤️. They never really leave my head! I was working on chapter 15 of my scum villain fic this morning. And then I stayed up until 2AM last night playing totk.

🦋what are you most insecure about when you post a fic?

Hummm....I've detached myself from the number of hits/reviews but conveying emotions and grammar is always 2 points I'm worried about.

🌿how does creating make you feel?

Happy! It always brings me serotonin and a sense of accomplishment, even if it's just a few lines in a draft that will never see the light of day lol.

🪄what is your post-writing/sharing aftercare? How do you take care of yourself or celebrate yourself when you've finished a fic?

I try not to leave it alone and not check for kudos in the next 24h hours lol but I will always check the AO3 page to see it published so I can get the satisfaction of seeing my work filling the archives. :)

🎙️which one of your fics would you like someone to make a pod-fic of?

Oooh that's a hard one! Hmmm I would say Good friends stab you in the front because there's some bantering in the opening scene and I would be curious to hear how it sounds aloud.

I have a draft for a very small ficlet about ragbros (genshin) that I would really like to make happen! The canon content leaves room for a lot of familial content and hurt/comfort, my favourite mix! ❤

And that's incredible, i guess we can say it's bc of our geographical positions and all (let's blame it on me with Southerner stereotype i guess??) but i swear it wasn't uncommon here, i had to climb the fence multiple times sometimes with friends because the school just wouldn't let us in!

that's why the article didn't surprise me at all it's just "ah yeah done that" in at least different schools im DLKFJDLKFDFJL didn't expect to have a fellow french disprove that

and tbh some fences are just easier to climb than others but at this point is it something i should give advices on-

100% would be Mura, Himuro is more reserved..most of the time haha while Mura would just hug him from behind casually, stuff like that

Oh they both would be!! but I imagine when Himuro is annoyed he definitely gets sarcy. Sometimes he'd apologise later, it'd depend on what happened haha but we all know how lazy Mura is, he definitely asks for it tbh XD

It's basically canon that Mura got into the zone because he carried on playing which he states was because of Himuro soooo yeah Himuro started the whole thing of Mura actually starting to enjoy basketball and all.

As for Himuro, I'd like to think he found his whole not being as good at basketball as Kagami kinda thing is easier to deal with now that him and Mura are working more as a team so hopefully he can relax abit and he seems quite closed off so I like to think Mura gets him to be more open.

Story Time! (Aka, What Not To Do In China, as told by Sol)

Once upon a time, back in the Days of Yore when Sol thought they were straight and cis, they went to Shanghai. They spoke enough Mandarin to Probably Not Die (TM) and were with some school friends and a Chinese professor, so it wasn’t likely that they were going to get in too much trouble.

However, there was one small problem. In the USA, Sol was NOT allowed to drink. But in this foreign country with not-insane drinking laws, they WERE allowed to drink.

Thus, Sol discovered tequila, accidentally spilled someone’s beer who wasn’t in my friend-group, got to talking with them despite being wasted, and was casually coaxed all the way outside the bar before I was rescued by a friend. Said friend got into a taxi with me and we theoretically went back to our rented apartment because that’s where I woke up the next day.

I didn’t drink tequila again without supervision. I still don’t XD

TL;DR I almost got picked up in Shanghai by a stranger because it was the first time I’d ever had tequila and was NOT prepared for how strong that was.

haitham: classics & anthropology double major

kaveh: architecture major

they're not roommates yet

they meet in a literature class for their writing requirement

they have very different interpretations of these novels and it often leads to heated discussions in class and everyone else is like :x..

all hell breaks loose when they're grouped together for the final assignment

other teammates are used to their bickering by now

haitham secretly enjoys these discussions, he finds kaveh's pov interesting. but he also likes watching his reaction so he'd be deliberately antagonistic sometimes

kaveh's annoyed cos haitham's so composed unlike him and he wants to think haitham's just bullshitting but his points actually makes sense ugh

freshmen year ends and when kaveh thinks he'd never have to see haitham again (and forget abt the stupid pocky incident once and for all!!) boom they're assigned to the same room in sophomore year
