Hi Anon!!

Now that my asks are working again, I have a fair few kissing booth fics I need to get through! I hope I'll be able to complete a few of them soon.

In my drafts currently, I have some of my half to gift swapping for Rosinante x f!reader, Beckman x m!reader, Ace x f!reader, Buggy x f!reader, Law x f!reader, Aokiji x f!reader (NSFW), and a Smoker x f!reader (NSFW) that I am prioritising. Their recipients have all written and created little presents for me, and I can't wait to give them their gifts from me in return.

I also have a few paragraphs written for 'Hey Doc' and half of a fic for Heartbeats part 2 (Law x f!reader pregnancy) that I'd love to share. Then there's the 'dreaming of you' for ASL that I just can't seem to match up to the right vibe. It's been driving me crazy. There's also some older requests that I have been having a go at, considering I'm in my 'kid-pirate era' currently: Hanahaki for a Kid x gn!reader x Killer.

The fic I have written the most of is for Rosinante, but it reads more like a fairytale than anything else. Lots of fantasy themes in it, and I'd love to have more time to do it justice.

In my personal life, I have been booked as a session musician for an event this weekend, and have been prioritising my time to get my set list sorted and memorised so I can have fun with it. Country dance event, the other band members are so much fun: drummer, pianist and bassist all know each other and are just like 3 goofy uncles.

I think that's it so far. I would also like to say thank you for baring with me while I make some OC content and drawings. I do this as an exercise when my words aren't working and I need to focus on something else to keep the creativity flowing. Tobiuo has been fun to play with and I would love to tell her story one day.

this is purely out of curiosity and i don't want to send hate your way, but do you ship mob and reigen? and if so, why?

I do, yeah. An ex-friend of mine asked me the exact same question (just more... harshly I think and with what I assumed was prejudice) before they decided to part our ways and I could never properly answer them because I was so stressed by the situation, it was hard to gather my thoughts. So I'll do my best to explain here, hopefully to make myself understood better.

Sorry if this gets lenghty >_< I'll just put a readmore right here.

I think the biggest reason for why I like them is their canon relationship that has been explored in the series already quite thoroughly - that they have changed eachother, helped eachother grow and one wouldn't be the person they are without the other. I think most of us understand the depth of it. Reigen is Mob's teacher and friend, someone like an older brother. There surely is a strong bond between them and they've seen each other at their best and worst and still acknowledged and accepted eachother's flaws. They trust eachother, they would give their life for eachother even (at least Reigen would, he almost did in the finale after all). And I do think that they love eachother but in a way that isn't actually romantic in canon. I'm perfectly capable of realizing that and I value it a lot both in the series and in fanworks (one of my fav works of fanfiction is about exactly that).

It was my curiosity that made me search up a ship fic of them, I was just confused why people ship them in the first place and whether it can be good and I found myself enjoying it a lot (to my surprise). It was set into the future, and dealt with some serious topics like loss and acceptance, it was kind of bittersweet. Then I felt that maybe it was just slightly ooc because all of the serirei fics I was busy reading depicted Reigen slightly different. Nontheless, I had the other ship on my mind then so I never really dived into Mob/Reigen, but it changed my perspective on them a lot.

And at some point into all this I realized, why not? Why can't I haz 2 cookies? (god im sorry that was terrible sfjgsdkj). What I mean is that the buildup canon offers can be taken further - more of their relationship can be explored in terms of new tropes, sometimes romantic too.

On a personal note I'll just add that I'm rather picky about them and tend to stick to fluff, hurt/comfort and slow slow burns. And I like them most post-canon, a few years into the future. It turns out that it all depends on how they're portrayed for me to like them anyways. I talked on here recently about a work that really had it all and portrayed their relationship in a very satisfying and mature way, with all the complicated feelings, it felt very realistic, especially on Reigen's side. So if anyone wants, here's a rec from me again -> in my dreams (I seem to be more honest) on ao3, just because I think it has all that I like about the ship.

I think that this is the whole point of fanworks - to kind of look further and have fun with it, to see "what if?". Even if it's something sort of.. taboo I guess? Because you get to take it apart in a fictional dimension (if that makes sense). And I completely understand if this is something that can ick some people out or that someone doesn't want to ruin their perception of the characters' relationship. That's totally fine by me and I'm not going to force anyone into liking the ship of course. And there are definitely tropes and tags I really don't want to look into - not everything is for me either.

And I think this goes without saying but I'll add it here anyways: what I like to see in fiction doesn't mean I would like or encourage anyone to do the same thing in real life! It's just interesting to explore from a safe distance where no one can get hurt.

hi! this may sound a little bit silly, but your ask just reminded me how easy it still was to interact with jeanmarco content back when I joined the fandom in 2021; big and small blogs were still around, lots of people were active, we even had a short-lived revival with the release of the last chapter and <spoilers> Marco’s inexplainable absence from that damn smoke. it was pretty great, so I’m really glad that my blog is making the same small contribution to the fandom experience of new fans as others have done for me 🥹

AHHHH only two more prompts to go after this one! Thank you so much to everyone who has followed along and been so supportive of these, and my writing in general. I know I write things that aren't for everyone, and I'm so grateful that there is space for everyone in the fandom!

²⁹⁾ the seventh highest floor in a skyscraper

Matty’s stomach lurched, his palms sweating and he found himself feeling light headed as he backed away from the window. He hadn’t realized he had such an issue with heights, until he found himself standing in a glass floored corner, and looked down from the seventh highest floor in a skyscraper. He knew that one could argue he was fine with heights, he climbed up on the roof of house on tour nearly ever night for months. But there was something different about being not nearly a full story off the ground, wearing a harness in a controlled setting, and standing, looking down at the city rushing below him. It was a tourist attraction, there were hundreds of people milling about. Did they not realize how much danger they were in?! Matty thought hysterically. Glass broke easily and here they were just standing on it. It was like they were asking to die. Matty didn’t want to die. 

George was smiling, taking pictures through the glass of the skyline that they had become part of. Matty wasn’t sure if he was going to pass out or throw up or both. He pressed himself against the wall in the center of the building, squeezing his eyes shut as he tried to ground himself. He didn’t want to ruin George’s fun, he was so happy looking out from the near top of the sky scraper. Matty hadn’t even actually processed which one they were visiting, his anxiety growing when he realized that George intended to go to the top. He squeezed his eyes shut tighter, stars dancing behind his eyelids as saliva filled his mouth. He tried to quickly swallow it down. He refused to ruin George’s fun. But it was seeming more and more likely that he was going to puke and then end up unconscious face down in it. The worst part is that he was sober at the moment as well. He wondered if being inebriated would make him feel better or worse about standing further off the ground that humans had any right to be. It was like they were playing God building these giant metal monstrocities and Matty didn’t even believe in God! 

Being so close to the top of the sky scraper was even worse than flying Matty thought, growing more and more frantic. He needed to leave, he needed to not be so high off the ground, but he wasn’t entire sture where the elevator was, and he was too afraid to open his eyes to try and find it. 

“Matty?” George asked, and Matty forced himself to open his eyes, feeling George’s hands on his shoulders. “Are you alright?” 

“I’m fine,” he croaked, squeezing his eyes shut again just as quickly as he had opened them. He could see the city skyline over George’s shoulder, which was a huge nope. 

“You’re really pale,” said George slowly as he pieced it together. “Oh, Love,” he said softly, “are you afraid of heights?” 

Matty nodded, giving up, and hoping that if admitting it would get him back to ground level faster.

Day 41 out of 120 Productivity Challenge

Hello! I actually only have two pieces of homework due for next week, one of which is my Greek language homework (due for Thursday), whereas the other is due for Friday and is unfortunately English coursework.

Today I managed to:

Do maths homework.

Do my Latin homework.

Create an AuDHD playlist.

Print out some more AuDHD diagnostic surveys and I clarified some symtpoms that I wasn't sure whether or not I displayed.

Create a list of different common themes for transactional pieces of writing.

Start packing my suitcase for my Greek trip and buy snacks!

Clarify the two essays or articles that I want to write for the main Classics magazine in my school.

Start compiling my notes for my Biology test next week.

Add some bullet point notes for the plan of my introduction for the English coursework.

Writing it out in a list like this, I feel a bit stupid for ever feeling proud in the first place, but I also am really happy that I barely have any homework due for next week. I do technically also have some English things off timetable that I need to prepare for, but I feel like something is going to go wrong. Tomorrow, if possible, I am actually going to try to ask my Biology teacher for help on how not to procrastinate, because I think I really need to control my executive dysfunction.

Edit: I managed to do a bit more and, quite frankly, I feel rather content with the manner by which I am managing to fight my executive dysfunction.

Just finished the first episode of Metropolis and. Adfadkschadwqcvzpeiftghaaa?!!!??!

It's so good!!!! I just. Fuck I love it so far. The characters, the story! The two cities are such opposites, and yet they parallel in the strangest and most disturbing ways!

Anyways — you don't have to post this ask or anything. I just wanted to comment. Great job so far, and I *cannot* wait for the next update!

Haha, yeah, that’s about what I thought too. I honestly still don’t even know what that person was complaining about. My post was literally advocating for not giving abusers credit for making their victims better or stronger through their abuse, and this person acted like that was the worst thing in the world to say, lol.
