Sinopsis: Jin Moo Hak (Kim Min Jae) es el segundo hijo de una familia que dirige la firma global de franquicias de restaurantes Dondon F&B, una empresa que comenzó como un restaurante de gamjatang (estofado de huesos de cerdo). Jin Moo Hak carece de educación, pero tiene una excelente capacidad para ganar dinero. Por otro lado, Kim Dal Ri (Park Gyu Young) es investigadora visitante de una galería de arte. Ella es la única hija de una familia prestigiosa, puede hablar 7 idiomas diferentes y tiene una amena personalidad, pero no es muy buena para hacer las tareas del hogar como cocinar. Jin Moo Hak y Kim Dal Ri se conocen sin saber los antecedentes del otro y desarrollan buenos sentimientos por el otro. Dali and The Cocky Prince es el kdrama más lindo, ligero y reconfortante que vi la primera mitad del año pasado (2022). Cuando lo empecé a ver, tenia la noción que era otro rom-com ligero para pasar el rato, y sí, en cierta parte lo es, pero también es mucho mas que eso, tiene muchas enseñanzas y lecciones de vida que vamos aprendiendo a través de las experiencias de los personajes.

La química entre Kim Min Jae y Park Gyu Young está en las nubes, tanto que me atrevo a decir que es una de las parejas más lindas y tiernas de kdramaland. Su actuación estuvo en el punto y no me puedo a imaginar a otros actores perfectos para estos papeles que no sean ellos. 

El humor fue lo que más me encantó. La personalidad de Jin Moo Hak es distinta a lo que estamos acostumbradas a ver de un rico, que en los kdramas es usualmente un chaebol de 3era generación, y que en este caso es distinto, pues Moo Hak es un nuevo rico. Y debo decir que es ver a alguien así es refrescante en el mundo de los kdramas. Los personajes peculiares y la historia lograban romper los estereotipos de rom-com de los kdramas. 

Los 16 capítulos estuvieron muy distribuidos. No se sintió lento al inicio, ni apresurado al final. Todo estuvo en la velocidad correcta... ¿y lo mejor?

No hubo triángulo amoroso y no hubo periodo de ruptura. LO QUE DEMUESTRA QUE UN KDRAMA NO NECESITA DE ESTOS ELEMENTOS PARA SER ENTRENIDO Y TENER 16 CAPÍTULOS.

Una última cosa que me gusté y aprecié de los escritores es que no se olvidaron de los pequeños detalles -no tan pequeños- que usualmente son parte de porqué la pareja principal se acerca en primer lugar. Como es usual, para el episodio 16 creí que habían olvidado o ignorado completamente este artículo/detalle, pero no, no me decepcionaron incluso al final.

Mini-review:

I finally got the chance to watch this, and it didn't disappoint at all. I love me a good horror thriller, a genre that's very in rare in the world of k-dramas, and this one ticks all the boxes for me. Sure, it's not super scary or anything, but it does know how to be creepy as hell. And while it was the central mystery that kept me hooked from beginning to end, I also appreciated the way they used individual "cases" to build up the main plot, especially during the first half. On top of that, the show is superbly acted, with Kim Tae Ri being particularly excellent in a sort of dual role. But really, I don't think I have a single complaint. Revenant is truly that good, and I will certainly add it to my favorite dramas list.

P.S. There is a lot of triggering content throughout its twelve episodes, so be careful with that and make sure to check warnings.

Sisyphus: The Myth (2021): Gang Seo-Hae (Park Shin-Hye) Gang Seo-Hae is an elite warrior. She can take down the biggest men with just her bare hands. She is a sharpshooter and a bombmaker. She learned these skills to survive in a world that is dominated by gangsters and military cliques. One day she time travels to save a genius engineer.

Mr. Sunshine (2018): Go Ae-Shin (Kim Tae-Ri) Go Ae-Shin is an orphaned noblewoman and a member of the Righteous Army. Her parents were independence fighters who died in Japan due to their colleague's betrayal. She trains as a sniper. An american soldier Eugene meets and falls in love with Go Ae-shin. 

The Glory (2022): Moon Dong-Eun (Song Hye-Kyo) Moon Dong-Eun was a victim of high school violence. She waited for the bully ring leader get married and have a child. Now she is the homeroom teacher of her tormentor's child. Her cruel revenge plot begins.

Special Delivery (2022): Eun-Ha (Park So-Dam) Eun-Ha is a special driver for deliveries. She delivers anything or anyone for the right price. Her success rate is 100%, but she gets involved in an unexpected delivery accident.

Brave Citizen (2023): So Shi-Min (Shin Hae-Sun) So Shi-Min used to be a boxer in her student days. She now works as a contract teacher at a high school. She confronts a school bully, who frequently torments other students.

Saronno, il mondo di Carla Albertella: acqua, terra, mare e altri racconti.   Si apre sabato 4 marzo 2023, presso la Sala Nevera di Casa Morandi a Saronno, la personale dell’artista genovese Carla Albertella dal titolo “Il mio mondo: acqua, terra, mare e altri racconti”, promossa dall’Organizzazione Flangini, in collaborazione con il Museo della Ceramica Gianetti, il Museo dell’Illustrazione, l’associazione CulturalMente & MusicalMente, l’Unitre e con il Patrocinio del Comune di Saronno. Nel corso dell’inaugurazione, in programma alle ore 17, è previsto l’intervento musicale straordinario del M.Soprano Jae Hee Kim e del chitarrista Fabio Marconi. In esposizione una selezione di opere, quasi tutte realizzate per l’occasione, quindi inedite, che sono sintesi di una ricerca iniziata negli anni ottanta e nel contempo espressione del nuovo orientamento stilistico-espressivo dell’artista genovese. La mostra, curata da Cristina Renso, con l’intervento di Mara De Fanti, direttrice del Museo della Ceramica Gianetti di Saronno, sarà aperta al pubblico, con ingresso gratuito, dal 5 al 19 marzo 2023: i visitatori e gli studenti avranno così modo di conoscere in anteprima gli esiti della recente ricerca dell’artista, che negli ultimi due anni ha intensamente lavorato al progetto espositivo della mostra di Saronno, dopo il successo alla Biennale di Spoleto. L’esposizione propone due percorsi, differenti, ma non opposti, perché uniti dal forte amore per la natura e dal rigore morale sotteso alle opere, che affrontano e sviluppano riflessioni circa uno degli obiettivi dell’Agenda 2030: prevenire e ridurre in modo significativo ogni forma di inquinamento marino. In altri lavori “il mondo di Carla Albertella” si allarga a quello immaginario dei cavalieri antichi e ad altri eroi come il Signor Bonaventura, che nell’opera La generosità del mare diviene, non a caso, il trait d’union delle due linee tematiche. Tra le opere in mostra, sculture in vari materiali (raku, argilla refrattaria con engobbi o trattata a bronzo) e circa venti tele acriliche di grandi dimensioni e di grande impatto visivo. Alcune sculture saranno esposte in contemporanea al Museo della Ceramica Gianetti di Saronno. Artista eclettica e versatile, Carla Albertella conduce da molti anni un intenso studio in vari ambiti espressivi, sperimentando molteplici tecniche: dalle miniature su avorio, ai paesaggi a olio e acrilico, alle sculture in terracotta, fino ai più recenti lavori in acrilico. Ha sviluppato un linguaggio del tutto personale e in continua ricerca: non stupisce pertanto che l’artista abbia vinto numerosi e prestigiosi premi sia per la scultura sia per la pittura. Inizia nel 1988 con la terracotta, che diviene espressione assai congeniale alla sua personalità. Nel suo studio si può ammirare una ricca produzione, appartenente a periodi diversi, “di personale e raffinata fattura”. L’artista propone una ricca galleria di forme simboliche in terracotta, che rappresentano sia figure di animali sia figure femminili, alle quali dà ampio spazio. Ama rappresentare il mondo psicologico e sentimentale della donna e riservare la sua ricerca iconografica e tematica al mondo femminile, che diviene per lei “simbolo e transfer della vita” (Giannina Scorza). Nelle opere acriliche e di tecnica mista, Carla Albertella compie un percorso del tutto originale. Talvolta cita soggetti presenti nella scultura, ma se ne distanzia a favore di un cromatismo e di una spiccata inventiva. I soggetti ci vengono raccontati attraverso spirali e linee dinamiche dal richiamo futurista. Le campiture definite e taglienti sembrano disposte come in un collage, ed hanno un effetto cromatico del tutto innovativo. In tal modo l’artista crea narrazioni e soggetti caratteristici per le forme geometriche minime, che fanno della sua produzione un unicum nel panorama artistico contemporaneo. Tra le tematiche più frequenti trovano particolare rilievo le scene di ispirazione cavalleresca come ne L’incontro e tutto il ciclo de Il Signor Bonaventura, eroe degli anni venti, di cui si è concluso da pochi anni il centenario e che l’artista spesso propone come figura simbolica di una visione vivace e ottimistica della vita. DIDATTICA – Il luogo emblematico e simbolico del suo “fare” è il mare, risorsa e fonte di vita. Illustrato da grandi tavole con colori vivaci, si presta ad attività didattiche nell’ambito degli obiettivi dell’Agenda 2030, capitolo 14. Partendo dalle opere in mostra vengono offerte agli studenti di ogni ordine e grado varie tipologie di attività, ma tutte focalizzate sull’importanza dei comportamenti responsabili e sulla salvaguardia di questo bene comune (prenotazioni al 3574533449). Per gli alunni della scuola primaria sarà realizzato un percorso particolarmente divertente sul personaggio del Signor Bonaventura, attraverso le illustrazioni originali del Corriere dei Piccoli, prestito del Museo dell’lllustrazione. ADG7: Tiny Desk Concert

“How do you fit a gayageum and an ajaeng behind the Tiny Desk? That's the question I whispered into the ear of our Tiny Desk audio engineer, Josh Rogosin, when we first saw ADG7 playing those five-foot long string instruments at globalFEST in New York City at the top of 2020. The Tiny Desk team solved the puzzle and the nine-piece Korean band filled the room with joy and a sound that's unique in Tiny Desk history. ADG7 mixes traditional, shamanistic ritual sounds with Korean folk songs from Hwanghae Province. The group's full name is Ak Dan Gwang Chil: "Ak Dan" translates as band, while "Gwang Chil" is in honor of the band having formed during the 70th anniversary of Gwangbokjeol, the National Liberation Day of Korea. The music is from the band's 2020 album, Such is Life,and its self-titled 2017 album.The three singers, Hong Ok, Myeong Wol and Yoo Wol, immediately capture my eyes and ears but my attention begins to sway toward Lee Man Wol, who appears to be blowing into a pipe organ she holds in her hands. The instrument is a saenghwang, just one of ADG7's transfixing instruments — including brilliant percussion and a large bamboo flute known as a daegeum played by bandleader Kim Yak Dae — that make this enthusiastic and adventurous concert an eye-opener.”
