on a completely separate note; shizun luo binghe with a disciple shen yuan who fell into the abyss??? *thinks about LBH canonically stealing SQQ's corpse for 5 years* he'd hallucinate i think. like, like visual and audial hallucinations.
Keeps thinking he's seeing SQQ in the corner of his eyes, or wandering between the trees, amongst a group of disciples. Thinks he hears him calling for him, but its just the wind or another disciple.
Gets Xiu Ya reforged but patently fucking refuses to make a sword mound. Because his disciple Is Not Dead :))) There was No Body. He's Not Dead. And If You keep Insisting That He Is, He's Gonna Skewer You :). He's holding onto Xiu Ya so he can return his most favored disciple's sword when he returns. It's on his hip right next to Zheng Yang where it's supposed to be.
Also this motherfucker?? does not sleep btw. He has the image of SQQ, wide eyed and hysterical and standing at the mouth of the abyss burned into his fucking eyelids. Can't use the dreamscape to escape it either because he keeps trying to save him and either he does and it's an incredibly cruel trick to wake up to, or he doesn't and he gets his heart broken in several different pieces again.
There is no convincing this man that Shen Qingqiu is dead. Absolutely nothing at all. He is buried so deep in denial that moles would be jealous of how deep he is. He keeps making tea for two in the bamboo house only to remember that it's just him. SQQ's fans are hiding everywhere, little reminders of his presence. He goes to wake up SQQ on the mornings he sleeps in-- only to find the room empty.
#svsss#luo binghe#svsss au#scum villain#scum villian self saving system#shen yuan#shen qingqiu#disciple shen yuan#lbh. visibly exhausted and with twitchy eyes: im fine :) | everyone else: ho no the fuck you ARENT.#SQQ was hysterical not because he found out LBH was half-demon but bc he was having a long-awaited mental breakdown over his autonomy :)#or (limited) lack thereof. he was having a sudden onset crisis of mortality and was handling at quite literally the WORST time. oops#im thinking very hard that LBH would never push his disciple into the abyss especially with no system to force him to. so SQQ either#had to goad him into it (failing always) or throw himself in. he ended up doing it himself but not before some very impressive hysterics.#BUT ALSO. IF THIS HAD BEEN WHERE SQQ WAS THE HALF-HEAVENLY DEMON INSTEAD IT WOULD'VE BEEN SO GREAT.#and by great i mean horribly angsty bc SQQ is NOT doing too hot and has. in very SY-like fashion. convinced himself that LBH will kill him#when he finds out he's a demon. so when it comes out i have this mental image of him lunging at LBH and LBH flinches back. but SQQ wraps hi#hands around the blade of Zheng Yang and yanks it up so the tip of the blade is digging into his chest where is heart is. LBH can't yank th#sword away without risking slicing into SQQ's hands. SQQ's hair has fallen out of its tail/bun and is now messily spilling down his#back and its NO helping the kinda deranged look he has going on. he's visibly shaking and his eyes keep flittering away and back at LBH's#face. SQQ is looking at the messages from the system warning him that he has to go into the abyss or punishment will occur. he's like.#rambling though. talking about how shizun doesn't *like* unclean things and there is nothing more unclean than a demon. like he is#INSISTING. LBH can't?? get a fucking word in. actually. SY isn't listening that much either anyways. too overwhelmed with the system and#the amount of stress he's under and his crumbling mental state and the innate and primal desire to live even when he's standing in front of#his own executioner. it all ends with him sitting on the ground at the lip of the abyss with his hair falling in his face. he looks so#unkempt and fallen apart and so distinctly *non-Shen Qingqiu* that LBH feels physically ill over it. tears are streaming down SQQ's face#and despite everything he is smiling. its not a nice smile. its a very frayed falling apart at the seams about to crack smile.#he tells shizun not to worry about staining his blade with this disciple's filthy blood because this disciple will take care of it himself.#and then he falls into the abyss before luo binghe can so much as grab him. the only reason LBh doesn't literally jump in after him is bc#he was numb with shock and the abyss was already closed before he could feel his legs again :]

i feel like people are sleeping on the occam's razor situation of how buckwild it is to outright accuse a guy of being a clone of your friend even if you DO have a lot of circumstantial evidence. there's other options is what im saying. they could just be like. a guy. that's a sensible deduction. you should explore that deduction. ignore my shirt that reads I <3 RED HERRINGS.
i still think odile has the correct theory on lock but she's smart enough to know it needs like... a real smoking gun to be able to bring it up without sounding insane.
anyway. (mirabelle voice) i know its rude to speculate but has anyone else noticed the grieving? they seem to be grieving. does anyone have any thoughts on the grieving? i have some thoughts on the grieving.
#[isabeau voice] am i insane or does sometimes loop talk like they might have killed their whole family. is that just me? just checking.#nille design highly inspired by @kiwibrain's since its the one that imprinted in my mind. liberties taken since i didnt look @ reference#anyway i have a lot more thoughts on this? i guess ill hide them in the tags...? scroll down i suppose.#isat#in stars and time#isat spoilers#in stars and time spoilers#isat act 6 spoilers#isat loop#isat siffrin#isat bonnie#isat nille#isat fanart#in stars and time fanart#doodlebyte#----------------------------------------------------------------------#anyway the extra thoughts. are literally just my general thoughts on postcanon. (and thus are the context for all of my postcanon doodles!)#which is i think nille joins the party before loop reappears for a start (either from a period of nonexistence or just wandering around)#and that like. i think the party should be able to integrate loop as a completely new person. because they are! the secrecy isn't great but#They and Siffrin shuffle into different ecological niches in the party (eg. i think sif is more squeamish after it all but loop isnt)#and while it's not *exactly* what Loop wanted they get that beggars can't be choosers. and its pretty good#(i am glossing over how i think loop's reappearence drags both them and siffrin into a massive behavioural backslide and is likely a bit#distressing to watch go down. cycle of argument -> lovebombing -> normalcy -> repeat. etc etc. but since they are no longer literally#stewing in the worst pressure cooker of all time they do resolve it via productive conversation on their own time. its fine)#the party well-meaningly tries to deduce things from loop's vagueries and are able to pin down the DEAD FAMILY vibe pretty quickly.#but eventually the question of their prior identity falls by the wayside because well! they're just their friend loop! (also change belief)#as for how The Truth Come Out... this is what i mean by The Isabeau Torment Nexus(tm). which is that i think... isiloop should almost occur#BEFORE isabeau knows who loop is. he's just genuinely charmed by them eventually and tries to close the open end of the polycule#which FREAKS LOOP THE FUCK OUT because thats just too genuinely sick and wrong. and obviously w emotions high its not a great confrontation#ANYWAY told u i had more thoughts. if i were normal itd be a text post but.

vague-posting about this here cuz i don't feel comfortable yapping about my su takes on twitter, but after everything that's happened the most interesting thing about the su fandom to me is that so many are 100% there for applying the "everyone can change and deserves a second chance" message to everyone, even the diamonds. except for one âď¸ she doesn't count. cuz she's dead.
#personal#very extremely delete later#ok cutting the vague post this is about a âwhose the worst cartoon momâ twt post with pink diamond in the running#and a bunch of people pointing at her. the woman who died in childbirth and never got to meet her child. and she's literally next to#mother gothel. the baby kidnapper who kidnapped a baby#i'm always gonna be a pink diamond nuancepilled defender. she was a shitty entitled teen who grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth#then got self-radicalized and rebelled for both selfish AND selfless reasons#âthis show is great because everyone makes mistakes and learns from them. except the pink one. she's bad and dead forever.â#anyways this is a crit towards the fandom not the show#âshe had steven so she could selfishly escape her mistakes and put all her burdens on her childâ or she wanted a child#âshe abandoned her familyâ or she died during childbirth#âshe started a war that got thousands of gems killed and mutilatedâ and if she hadn't nobody on earth would exist#the fact that some fans are more willing to jump to white diamondâs defense when talking about her reformation and redemption#white diamondâthe architect and supreme ruler of a 10000+ year old fascist empireâhas 10000% done worse more unforgivable things than pink#guys even blue diamond has shattered gems before. like not just kill them but permanently split their souls into pieces.#ruby called her a âSHATTERER.â she was INFAMOUS for murdering people. pink never shattered anyone#for fans of a show that explicitly says nobody's truly a villain you guys sure do want a villain really badly#anyways âwe need more compelx female characters y'all couldn't even handle rose quartzâ etc. etc. etc.

today, my coworkersâ refusal to see me as a man put one of our patients in a position where they felt unsafe for the third time. iâve been at this job for less than two months total. i donât even care about getting misgendered anymore, i just want the people weâre supposed to be taking care of to feel comfortable around me.
i work at a hospital where we have to supervise our patients in a lot of vulnerable situations. there are safeguarding rules in place for certain things that male employees arenât allowed to be present for when it comes to female patients. and yet, the people training me and telling me what to do have repeatedly put me in situations where iâve been forced to do things that the female patients arenât comfortable with me doing. and because they have repeatedly failed to teach me the rules for doing my job as a man, i have no way of knowing when iâm crossing one of those lines unless one of the patients tells me.
iâve had to watch a victim of SA stare at me in abject terror as my coworkers asked her to strip naked with me still in the room. it took several minutes for her to even be able to speak enough to ask if i could leave the room. i found out after that she broke down crying the moment i walked out. my biggest regret is that i didnât realize what was happening fast enough to leave before she ever had to say something, because she shouldnât have had to say it. i never shouldâve been allowed in the room in the first place, because thatâs not something male employees are supposed to be present for. but i didnât know that yet, because i was training and i thought surely, they wouldnât train me to do something that directly violated their own safeguarding rules. that moment was the first time, and itâs haunted me ever since, but it wasnât the last time. not only did it happen for the third time today â it almost happened for the fourth, and would have if someone hadnât spoken up to say they should pick someone else. i care for these people so deeply, itâs why i took this job, and iâm so tired of hearing the fear in their voices when they have to ask me not to do something i never shouldâve been told to do.
iâm very used to the personal discomfort of being misgendered. i willingly deal with it a lot at work as well as in other situations, not because iâm in the closet (at this point in my medical transition that would be impossible), but because itâs such a frequent occurrence with my coworkers that we would never get anything done if i took the time to correct them every time. but to see it get to the point of causing such visceral discomfort in other people? people iâm supposed to be taking care of and keeping safe? thatâs something else entirely, and iâm fucking exhausted.
and after all of that, some of them still look at me like i have two heads when they tell me what to do and i say âi canât do that, only female employees canâ because iâm learning now. clearly iâm already seen as a man by our patients, but my coworkers would still rather put them in an unsafe situation than just train me as a man.
#to be clear itâs four different things theyâve asked me to do that im not supposed to#as soon as i find out about one rule they ask me to violate a different one that i didnât know about#i will never ever forget that girlâs face and iâll never stop being angry for her#for all three of them but especially her#i hate my coworkers for a million different reasons#the patients are the only reason i didnât quit this job after the first day#i just want to do right by them and sometimes it feels like iâm the only one working there who does#it kills me because the patients who know im trans have been so great about it too#most of them know nothing about trans people but theyâre so willing to learn and so respectful and weâve had such great conversations#theyâre getting fucked over by someone elseâs transphobia when they themselves donât have a single transphobic bone in their bodies#i hate this place because i care about the people in it too much to stand by the way it treats them and itâs killing me#transandrophobia#transandromisia#transmisandry#virilmisia#virilphobia#anti transmasculinity#transmascphobia

Jackie died. Jackie died and I'm devastated. I will never be the same person again
#I had to pause the game to bawl my eyes out#I WAS SO INVESTED IN HIM ARE YOU KIDDING ME#I think I get what you're trying to say to me game. is it worth it to put yourself in danger#and destroy yourself for a chance at a fame that you probably won't even get to enjoy#because you won't be there to see it?#is it worth it to break the hearts of the people you love in this pursuit? the people who'll grieve you?#I mean it's part of the first question that dex asks you when this whole thing starts and the last thing he says to you is also about that#about whether you wanna live a peaceful life or. go out like this#I get that. if that's what it's going for I get that. it gets the point across I'm not angry. but also#THAT WAS MY FRIEND#JACKIE MY FRIEND JACKIE đ#WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE DIED OF BLOOD LOSS THIS IS BULLSHIT#I'm never getting over this#sleep.txt#cp2077#jackie welles#OK OK HOLD ON I have more to say. I wanna expand on that jdjfkdkf bc I have Thoughts. especially playing corpo v like#I think the whole thing hit me even harder as corpo bc you get to see a sort of parallel situation with your v#where you had all this renown and respect but it came at a great cost. so great it nearly killed you#and then you go through that again and now you're dying and your friend is dead#and it's all in the pursuit of fame and money#that scene in the car when they're heading for the hotel reminded me so much of that initial scene with v#when you get in your fancy car and sip your fancy champagne#and like 10 minutes later nearly get killed by people from arasaka#I think there might be a point to be made there. about jackie heading towards the same kind of life just with a different coat of paint#being seduced by the same things we were seduced by while accepting the cost without fully understanding it#and then when you're faced with it it's. well it's heartbreaking and life ending#self destruction in the pursuit of something that makes you wonder if it was even all that worth it to begin with#viktor vektor is probably the happiest person I've met so far and that's saying something#anyway rant over. ty for your time I'm gonna go cry over jackie in the corner excuse me

Some details for archaeology nerds (Here we go again AHAHAHA)
First of all the costume Alfred wears in this pic is BY NO MEANS historical accurate, but if we really want to be 100% accurate then to my knowledge thereâs a high chance that Alfred wouldnât be wearing dresses gowns at all (whoever decided to make Alfred wear those pretty cough dresses cough in the show I wish your family to prosper for all eternity YOUâRE A HERO), so instead I just chose to design whatever clothes I want and add some Anglo-Saxon elements in it :)
1. Alfredâs earrings
Took inspiration from the 7th century Anglo-Saxon/Frankish crystal ball, now in Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Hereâs the thing, I know English men (and the monarchs) donât wear earrings until the 16th century and earrings werenât even popular during the Anglo-Saxon period, but once I saw Charles I wearing pearl earrings in his portrait I just canât help but put something pretty on Alfredâs ears as well lolâŚSadly I canât find the exact size of this one but the official site says that it was used as a pendant/an amulet! Probably for pagan practices though, but itâs pretty, isnât it? :D
2. Patterns on Alfredâs gown
Taken from the patterns on the Bewcastle Cross in Cumbria (which used to belong to Northumbria, built in around the 7th to early 8th century, aka the period Bede lived in.
3. The woven band
The pattern is taken from the Laceby band found in Laceby, Lincolnshire, dated to early 7th century. It seems both Scandinavians and Anglo-Saxons enjoy wearing tablet-woven bands? Saw this kind of things a lot in viking clothes reconstruction as well.
4. âŚWhatever this is
From fol. 34r in Book of Kells, the famous Celtic gospel book completed in Ireland circa 800 AD. As you can see I got lazy during drawing this lol but the illustrations in the original manuscripts are really impressive!
Now I donât know if this is a good news or not but Iâve still got likeâŚsix wips for alhtred in handâŚGood god of arts DELIVER ME
#posting it before i start wanting to kill myself#this was supposed to be a doodle but in the end i spent 30 hours on it and it still looks like shit#urghhhh#sometimes i hate doing arts lol#ok sorry for artistâs rants#SO about the drawing itself#this is completely a self indulgent piece LOL#at the end of the day i just want to make alfred wear pretty things :3#and see him being bridal carried#thatâs all lol#BTW can we just ignore for a second how strong uhtred would need to be in order to carry alfred like that by one single hand#we call it â¨creative freedomâ¨#p.s. Iâm thinking the when âyouâ are gone away quote is Uhtred referring to the christian god lol#the last kingdom#tlk alfred#alfred x uhtred#uhtred x alfred#king alfred#alfred the great#alhtred#uhtred#hikaruchen#hikaru tlk

âOoooh, thereâs something wrong about this place, I just know it.â
Time more than agreed with Windâs anxious mutter, studying the trees at the side of the path. At first glance there was nothing strange with the forest they were all trekking through, but the longer they walked, the more nervous they all got. The forest was almost completely silent, no sound of squirrels in the underbrush, no birdsong in the trees. There was no life except for the foliage, and even that seemed strangely off, leaves more grey than green, flowers oddly dull.
Something seemed to hang in the very air, heavy and dark, and Time knew all of them had caught onto it, ears flicking, eyes darting towards shadows.
Something was wrong.
âWhere did you say you think this great fairy was again?â Four asked in a quiet voice, and Hyrule hesitated, looking around the forest.
âThereâs a magic source of some kind up ahead,â he said, but his voice was uncertain. âBut these woods... they arenât natural.â
âSo somethingâs definitely up then,â Legend mumbled from his place on Twilightâs back. âWonderful.â
âItâs not like we have any other options,â Sky quietly pointed out, gesturing with his arm that wasnât in a sling. âItâs the hope of a Great Fairy through the unsettling woods or nothing.â
The rest of them murmured agreement, and Time looked back at all the heroes, worn down from a series of long fights, almost everyone injured without any supplies left to heal them. Legend was the worst off, a deep wound in his side and a concussion to boot, but they were all weary and in need of healing, broken arms and twisted ankles, bruises and cuts galore.
But they were in an in-between time period, one none of them recognized. Theyâd come across no towns or anywhere else where they could buy supplies, just monsters and wilderness, empty forests and fields.
So it was the Great Fairy or nothing.
A soft breeze rustled the leaves around them, and Time wasnât the only one who stiffened, his ears twitching. Something like a laugh drifted on the wind, but it faded before he could pinpoint it.
He saw Warriors swallow next to him, and Wind rub anxiously at the dark bruise on his cheek.
â...Come on. This way,â Time said finally, able to sense the same magic Hyrule was following, and they all trailed after him, walking closer together then they had been previously.
It wasnât long before the top of a structure poked through the trees, and Time steered towards it, following an overgrown, barely-there path. An old temple-like building rose up from the trees, thick vines clawing at dark stone, and they all paused to look up at it.
âThis is it,â Time confirmed. Hyrule silently nodded in agreement.
They all exchanged looks, but nobody spoke further, and they all trailed inside.
Time relaxed just a bit at the familiar brush of fairy magic that drifted faintly around them, but he realized quickly that there werenât any fairies inside, the space oddly dark. The Links looked around, studying dark stone and broken windows, and Time walked towards the pool of water on the far side of the room.
His steps were loud on the stones, and Time studied the pool uneasily, the water inside dull and dark.
Strangely dark.
â...This is really a fairy fountain?â Wind asked as they all gathered in the middle of the area, and Wild limped over to the pool, setting a foot near the water.
âI mean... it kinda looks like one,â Wild said, leaning out over the water. âJust... weird.â
âCareful Champion,â Warriors cautioned, slowly moving to stand beside him. âSomething here isnât...â
âOh, some Heroes have come to visit, have they?â
All of them froze at the echoing voice, strangely harsh to their ears. Hyrule flinched and Warriors stiffened, but Time barely noticed, gaze focused on the pool.
The water was rippling, bubbles appearing on its surface.
âSeems theyâve come seeking help,â the voice continued, tittering when they all took a step back. âOh, even injured theyâre strapping specimens indeed...â
âEw,â Legend muttered.
The voice laughed, and Time stepped forward, ignoring his unease. âWeâve come in need of healing,â he spoke in a level voice, and the voice went silent a moment. Time was sure he could feel eyes on them all.
âHealing, hmm... I donât know. You all look so dashing with blood on you...â
âThis doesnât feel right,â Four whispered as the voice hummed. Time nodded, still watching the water. Great Fairies could be on the... unsettling side, but not like this, and he could feel the dark magic in the air now, thick and pungent, like an oily weight that sank into his skin.
Time set a hand on his sword.
âNo. Itâs not,â he said grimly.
âDoes this magic feel familiar to anyone else?â Twilight whispered, a hand ghosting along his side where the Shadowâs axe had struck.
âSomethingâs wrong here,â Hyrule breathed behind them, hand still pressed to his chest. Time glanced at him and saw his eyes darting around the room, sweat beading on his brow. âSomethingâs really wrong here...â
âI think we need to leave,â Sky whispered.
The voice laughed like it had heard him, and they all went silent, watching the bubbling water.
âLeave? You just got here! Such fine heroes deserve a rest,â the voice almost purred, and Timeâs grip tightened on his sword. âLovely specimens indeed... in fact...â
The water abruptly stilled, and the Links held their breath, every muscle in Timeâs body alert and tensed.
â...I think Iâll keep you!â
The ground began to tremble under their feet, and Time felt the hair on his neck stand up, the water somehow growing darker as it bubbled again.
âBoys, get away from theâ!â
A pale hand shot out of the water at the same time Warriors shoved Wild away, the hand closing around Warriors and pulling him under with a cry.
âCaptain!â Twilight gasped as Timeâs heart lurched, and they all ran to the water with their weapons drawn, Four helping Wild back to his feet.
The water had gone still again, but it was still frothy from the recent movement, and Time scanned its depths, looking frantically for any sign of Warriors below.
Nothing but dark water met him.
âIâm going to find him,â Sky said suddenly, marching forward as he pulled a necklace with a scale on it from under his shirt.
Time moved to stop him, prepared to argue that he couldnât swim with a broken arm, but then the ground lurched under their feet. They were all knocked off-balance, and Twilight nearly dropped Legend with how harshly it shook. Time had to steady Wild, and theyâd all barely regained their footing when something erupted from the pool, water splashing outwards and nearly soaking them as a laugh echoed around the room, unusually harsh and high-pitched.
Hyrule gasped and several of the others did along with him at the sight, horror rooting Time in place at the sight of what stood before them.
It was a Great Fairy, but wrong.
Her skin was ashen, her hair dull and lifeless, lacking any of the usual sparkle it should hold. Her dress was tattered, and the vines twirling around it and her body were dead and grey, like bleached bones of the plants that had once grown there. The only spot of color she sported were her eyes, and those barely counted, a sickly yellow and glowing with malice.
But worst of all was the sight of the large bottle she held possessively in her hand, long nails curled around the jar as she gently caressed it.
Warriors just barely visible inside with his hands pressed to the glass, soaking wet and looking absolutely terrified.
âCaptain!â Sky gasped, and Time could only stare at Warriors for several moments, unable to tear his gaze away from the hero trapped inside of the glass.
Warriors met his eyes, his own unusually bright with fear, and all of a sudden Time was eleven again.
âGreat fairy, we need your help. We canât win this battle without you.â
Mask stood to the side as the captain knelt by the pool, the clash of weapons and screams of monsters and men coming from right outside. The squad theyâd brought with them shifted uneasily as something howled, and Mask swallowed.
The Great Fairy was their last hope of victory here, and if she wasnât willing to help them... it wouldnât be pretty.
Right when he was about to grab the mask at his hip and see if he could do anything, the Great Fairy finally rose from her pool, leaning over the edge to smile at the captain.
âOf course I can help, little hero,â she laughed, bells in her voice. â...But not without a price. I trust you are willing?â
Something in her voice made Mask frown, but the Captain nodded without hesitation, determination on his face. The Great Fairy grinned at the confirmation, and leapt out of the water with a laugh and a twirl, soaking a few of the soldiers standing too close.
Then she snatched up the Captain, and dropped him into a bottle she pulled from thin air.
âHey!â Mask shouted, but the Great Fairy waved a dismissive hand at him.
âItâs just until weâve won,â she giggled, holding the bottle up so she could see the Captain better. He took a step back, eyes wide and uncertain. âUnless heâd like to stick around afterwards... but regardless, I need some help, and youâre just who I need.â
Her eyes glinted a bit.
âLetâs go, little hero. Show me how well you can swing that little sword of yours.â
The harsh laugh rang through the air again, and Time snapped back to the present as the Great Fairy gave the bottle in her hand a light shake.
Warriors looked ill.
âLet him go!â Wind shouted, tightly gripping his sword, but the Great Fairy only laughed again. âHeâs not yours, let him out!â
âOn the contrary little hero,â she smiled, unnatural and wide. âI caught him, so heâs mine. Thatâs how it works.â
âAs a Great Fairy you should know that thatâs not how it works,â Time said as he glared up at the corrupted fairy. âRelease him.â
âNo,â the fairy said plainly, and Warriors pressed his back to the glass as she held him up mere inches from her face. She smirked. âI havenât had a toy this good-looking in a long time.â
Warriors lost what little color he had left, and Twilight chucked a boomerang at the fairyâs arm.
She flicked it out of the air with a tsk, the weapon clattering to the ground, and her gaze narrowed, the bit of red around her pupils seeming to grow.
âItâs not polite to attack your hostess.â
âThen release him!â Wild shouted, nocking an arrow and aiming it towards her. âNone of us are staying with you, you creep!â
The Great Fairy looked at him, and sighed.
âWell then I suppose I have no choice.â
Dark magic glowed at her fingertips, and suddenly they were all scrambling for cover, most of them only dodging the burst of darkness she threw at them at the very last second.
âThis must be the Shadowâs work,â Four wheezed as he ducked behind the same piece of stone Time had sheltered behind. âWhat else would be able to corrupt fairy magic like this?â
âIt has his dirty fingerprints all over it,â Wild snarled from nearby, pulling out a stronger bow from his pouch.
âBut how did he corrupt a great fairy?â Hyrule said in dismay, and Twilight yanked him out of the way of another harsh spray of dark magic.
âIt doesnât matter how he managed it, we need to get rid of it,â Time shouted over another harsh laugh. âAnd save Warriors.â
âHow do we do that?!â
The Great fairy kept laughing, and the piece of wall they were hiding behind was suddenly destroyed, the Links scrambling away from the debris. The bottle was swung at them all as they scattered, and Warriors flew by in a blur of color.
Wild whirled around and shot off a round of arrows, several hitting their mark, but the corrupted fairy didnât even seem to notice, still blasting magic and swinging her bottle.
Time ran forward with his blade raised, and the Great Fairy twirled out of his way. She laughed at his attempts to hit her, then slammed him backwards with the bottle she held.
Time managed to get his shield up, but he was still knocked to the ground, pain radiating up his arm where heâd taken the brunt of the hit.
He thought he heard a muffled cry from Warriors, but the bottle was swinging around too much for him to be sure. Wind covered him while he got to his feet, and Time joined the others as they tried to get close enough to the Great Fairy to actually fight her.
There was too much magic flying around though, dark bursts that made Timeâs stomach roll when one exploded too close to him. Between the magic and the way the fairy swung the bottle Warriors was trapped in, nobody could get close enough to cause any real damage.
A larger ball of darkness formed in one of the Great Fairyâs hands, and everyone ran for cover again as more dark magic exploded through the room. Most of them ended up behind a larger chunk of stone, and Twilight slid down next to Time, Legend no longer on his back.
âThis isnât working,â Twilight growled, laughter ringing through the room. âAny suggestions?â
âIâd try the Master Sword, but I canât get close enough,â Sky wheezed from nearby, his face worried and grim. âHer magic would doubtlessly help, but I donât know how...â
âOh! Light arrows!â Wind said with a gasp. He wiped some dust off his face, then began fishing in his pouch. âIf itâs dark magic, then light arrows should help!â
âBut will it hurt her?â Hyrule asked worriedly, and Time sighed.
âI donât know, but we donât really have a choice. Hopefully this will purify her. We can only hope for the best at this point, we donât have the strength for a drawn-out battle.â He looked around at them all. âIf anyone has long-range light magic or weapons, use it now.â
Warriors needs us.
Dark magic hit the stone they were sheltering behind, and the Links scattered again, several grabbing in their pouches.
Wind quickly took out his bow, and pulled back an arrow, the tip lighting up in gold. It grazed the fairyâs arm, and she shrieked, the sound so piercing Time and the others put their hands to their ears.
âIt worked!â
âKeep it up!â Time shouted, getting his own bow out.
He shot a light arrow of his own at the Great Fairy, but she dodged, eyes flashing with anger.
âInsolent boys!â she screamed, blasting more magic outwards.
Her attacks came twice as fast as she avoided the light magic, but her aim was less precise in her anger. Time found himself dodging so much he only had time to shoot off a single light arrow before he had to move again to avoid all kinds of stray shots.
He caught sight of Legend tucked behind a piece of stone, still looking dizzy, but shooting some kind of light magic anyway. Hyrule was beside him also shooting arrows, and the Great Fairy grew more and more enraged, shooting magic and throwing her bottle around much more violently.
There was so much noise he couldnât be sure, but Time could swear he heard Warriors cry out more than once, and his throat tightened with fear.
We need to get him out of there, now.
Time paused in his assault, slipping behind a piece of stone and waiting for the Great Fairyâs attention to be drawn to the other side of the room. Someone cried out, and Time ran forward and went to a knee as he carefully aimed.
He shot an arrow directly at the Great Fairyâs wrist, and as it pierced her flesh, Time felt some kind of magic snap, a protection he hadnât realized was there.
The fairy shrieked as she clutched at her wrist, and the bottle with Warriors dropped from her grasp.
âCaptain!â
Windâs cry was cut off by the bottle shattering as it hit the ground, broken glass scattering like fallen stars across the dark stone. Time was already running, and he slid to his knees beside Warriors, heedless of the glass he was crouching in.
Blood ran down Warriorsâ face from a cut on his temple, and he didnât move when Time gave him a cautious shake. Dozens of cuts from the shattered glass trickled tiny lines of red across his skin, bruises already forming from his time in the bottle. Wind ran up seconds later, and the sailorâs face went pale as he looked at the captain.
âWarriors?!â he said frantically, but the captain didnât react.
Time quickly checked Warriorsâ breathing, relieved when he felt his chest going up and down. But his leg was at an odd angle, blood still weeping from various cuts all over him, and Time swallowed, taking in how truly battered Warriors was.
His mind fell back to the war again against his will, the Great Fairy fighting with the captain in her bottle. Some of the men had muffled laughs as sheâd done some especially odd attacks, and Mask had snickered at a few of them as well, ignoring the flicker of unease that had still been bothering him. His laughter had died the moment the battle had ended though, and the Great Fairy had shaken the captain out of the bottle.
Link had barely been standing, and as soon as the Great Fairy had left heâd emptied his stomach into a bush. He was shaking so hard he could barely walk, and Mask had had to help him back to camp, supporting him as they walked.
But he couldnât do anything to stop the shaking, couldnât take away the look in his eyes.
The bruises and other injuries the captain had gotten from being knocked around in the bottle stayed with him for days, but the fear in his eyes had stuck with Time ever since.
That was the first time heâd realized that his big brother wasnât as unshakable as he tried to appear.
Warriors groaned, and Time snapped back to the present, looking down as Warriorsâ eyes flickered.
âCaptain, can you hear me?â he asked urgently, placing his hand back on Warriorsâ shoulder. He flinched at the touch, breath stuttering, and Time quickly removed his hand.
âWarriors?â Wind asked again, and Warriors opened his eyes a little more, looking dazed.
And scared.
âLink, we need to get you somewhere safe,â Time said, throwing his shield up to block a stray blast of darkness. And despite knowing the answer, he added, âCan you stand?â
Warriors breathed in shakily.
âI...â he croaked, voice barely a whisper. âN... dunno.â
He begin to faintly shiver, and Time breathed out, looking at the fight, then back to him. The other Links were doing their best to keep the Great Fairyâs attention away from the three of them, but he didnât know how long it would last with how battered their group was.
They were all flagging.
âIâll go help them,â Wind said, giving Warriors a fearful glance before looking back at the battle. â...Can you get him somewhere safe?â
âI will.â
Wind nodded and ran off, lighting up another light arrow to shoot as he rejoined the battle. Time turned his attention back to Warriors, and saw that his eyes had slid closed again, his expression tense as his breath softly wheezed.
âCaptain. Iâm going to help you up, we need to get you out of here,â Time said. Warriors didnât reply, and Time carefully pulled him up, not entirely carrying him, but supporting almost all of his weight. Warriors stiffened at his touch, then began shivering harder. âItâll only be for a moment, hold on.â
Time stood, keeping his shield at the ready as he began to get them as far away from the water as possible. The Great Fairy screeched in rage again as she was struck by another light arrow from Wind, and Time heard someone shout.
Twilight dodged his way over to Time and Warriors, blood smeared in his hair, and wordlessly covered them as they moved further away.
Warriorsâs head hung forward, blood dripping from his face as his breath shuddered, and Time didnât stop until they were safely behind the stonework, carefully lowering Warriors to the ground. He didnât even know if the captain was awake any more, and Timeâs heart pounded loudly in his ears.
âWarriors?â he asked, patting his cheek. âHey, wake up.â
The captain twitched a little, and let out a full-body shudder as the Great Fairy yelled. His eyes stayed shut though, and Time knelt beside him, unsure of where to begin. They had no supplies apart from bandages, and he could only do so much with those.
âCaptain,â he said in a cautious voice, but Warriors didnât move. âLink, where are you most hurt?â
Warriors only gave a small shake of his head, faintly shivering. Twilight made his way over to them mere moments later, and he kneeled beside Warriors with a wide look in his eyes.
âAre you okay, Captain?â
Warriors swallowed again, and looked like he tried to raise his head, but couldnât quite manage to, still shaking and bleeding. He choked on his next breath, and Twilight looked at Time as Warriorsâ breathing picked up, rasping and trembling.
âWarriors,â Twilight said more gently, fingers twitching like he had to fight the urge to comfort him with touch. âItâs alright, the others are handling things.â
âWe need to tend to your injuries,â Time added, pulling out the few bandages he had left. âYour head is bleeding quite a bit, as is the rest of you.â
Warriors swallowed thickly, and Time watched as he shook harder than the leaves on the Great Deku Tree did when the first spring winds blew in.
His mask had cracked, the one he easily slipped on in battle and stressful situations, hiding his true emotions behind it. Warriors was trying desperately to scrape it back together, but heâd been struck too hard this time. Being put in a bottle again had slashed open scars that had been hastily bandaged in the first place, and now there was no going back.
Not until the threat was gone, at least.
Warriorsâs breath hitched, and Time looked at him, bloody and broken, flinching every time the Great Fairy made a sound. Timeâs hand was resting near Warriorsâs own, and Time reached out, gently twining his fingers with his brotherâs.
âYouâre safe, Link,â he said quietly, and when Warriors didnât pull away, he put his other hand on top of his. âMe and Twilight are going to patch you up.â
We wonât let her touch you.
Warriorsâs fingers shakily clutched back at Timeâs, and Time nodded at him, pulling out his canteen to hopefully wash any glass out of his injuries. Twilight stayed close, his sword still held at the ready, and Time was already planning how to convince him to also be patched up as he cleaned Warriorsâs cuts. He hadnât missed the blood in his descendantâs hair.
Warriors pulled in a shaking breath as Time worked, swallowing as he wiped some blood from his face, fingers shaking. His eyes stayed closed, but Time knew he was awake with how he flinched and kept his face as neutral as possible. He didnât really succeed in that regard, but he tried anyway.
His other hand stayed firmly in Timeâs though, and even though it made his job harder, Time never let go.
Someone shouted nearby, much closer then before, and Time glanced up, frowning as the ground shook beneath them. He held tighter to Warriors, and then jumped as Twilight shouted in alarm.
Time whirled around, and saw a face that should have been beautiful leering mere feet away from them, eyes blazing.
Somehow the Great Fairy had gotten past the other heroes.
âYou... are... MINE!â she screamed, voice somehow lyrical and ragged. She stretched a hand out, fingers like gnarled branches of an old, dead tree, and her eyes glinted with desire.
Warriors finally opened his eyes at her scream, and there was such an expression of terror on his face that Time felt something inside himself snap.
He clasped Warriorsâs hand that was still in his, and drew on the strength of his gauntlets to bodily throw him out of the way, tossing him towards Twilight. He knew the rancher would catch him, and in the same movement, he grabbed his bow again, calling on the dregs of magic he had remaining.
With her initial target gone, the Great Fairy lunged for Time, dark magic swelling at her fingers. The shouts of the others rang in Timeâs ears, but as he drew back a light arrow, he felt strangely calm, even as the sickly feeling of darkness began to reach him.
He was doing this for his big brother.
Time released the arrow at the same time the Great Fairy shot her magic, and the two met in the middle with a shear of pure energy.
It threw Time backwards, and as a scream louder than any of the others rang through the room, something else seemed to snap, thrumming in the very air around them.
Time painfully hit the ground, an oddly-colored smoke rising off of him, but he lurched to his feet anyway. There was an awful smell in his nose and mouth, and his head spun as he stumbled backwards.
Warriors.
Where was Warriors?
Time heard a muffled shout, and turned, lurching towards the smears of green and blue he could see nearby. His skin burned as he moved, muscles screaming as loud as the Great Fairy was, and Time dove forward and covered Warriors and Twilightâs heads.
All three of them closed their eyes against the wave of energy that suddenly rushed outward, rustling their hair and making Time flinch. It only made his body hurt more, but Time gritted his teeth and held on, covering as much of Warriors and Twilight as he possibly could.
Then it went deathly quiet.
Time felt his hands shaking as he waited a moment to be sure, then pulled back, gently releasing Warriors. He seemed no more worse for wear, and Time exhaled, relieved at the sight of both him and Twilight unhurt by the magic.
Twilight was staring at him with a wide-eyed look, but Time ignored it, and somehow got to a shaky knee so he could look around the room. He saw the other Links picking themselves up, wiping blood off injuries, helping others stand.
The water in the pool had stilled, and was now light and clear, faint sparkles drifting on the surface. The whole room seemed brighter now, less oppressively heavy, and Time could feel that the dark magic had been cleansed.
The Great Fairy was nowhere to be seen.
Wild let out a weary cheer from the other side of the room, then listed to the side, Wind barely catching him. They both toppled to the ground, giggling a bit hysterically, and Twilight faintly smiled when Time looked back at him. His descendant still looked worried, but he was just as relieved the fight was over.
Warriors stayed unmoving halfway on his lap, blood still trickling from his brow.
Time swallowed, feeling again every injury he himself had sustained, and he slid back to the floor, placing his hand over Warriorsâs again.
His brotherâs eyes flickered open, and Time gave him a small smile.
âSheâs gone,â he rasped softly, and Warriors exhaled, the sound exhausted with relief. âWe did it.â
âYou mean you did it,â Twilight added, looking a little awestruck. âI donât know how you threw the captain and then turned around and shot that arrow barely a second afterwards, but it was mighty impressive.â
âPractice,â Time said with a small smile that hurt to make, and helped Warriors sit up. Warriors held on a bit tighter for a minute, then let go, still trembling just a bit. Time studied him worriedly, but he was interrupted by Twilight fussing over his own wounds, pulling away with a hiss as he touched painful skin. The magic had burned him... more than a bit.
Everyone shuffled their way over to where Time and Twilight were, giving them and Warriors concerned looks. Everyone was at least as bad off as them though, and both Legend and Four were unconscious, so Time thought they were all being rather hypocritical.
A sudden chiming noise rang softly through the room, and the heroes all tensed as the water in the pool rippled. Time recognized it for what it meant, but he still watched in suspicion when a head rose slowly from the water, hair glimmering a soft pink.
Warriors stiffened beside him.
The great fairyâs eyes were clear and bright as she looked around at them all, though her face was lined with a deep sadness. The heroes watched her in silence, hands hovering near weapons, and she let out a heartbroken sigh.
âIâm terribly sorry dear heroes,â the she apologized in a whisper, keeping only her head poking out of the pool. âSuch a great darkness fell over me... I was not myself. I see I have only made your situation more dire, and I cannot apologize enough.â
She closed her eyes, and the part of Time that was raised alongside the children of the forest grieved when he saw the shining tear that fell down her cheek.
âI owe you all a debt,â she whispered.
âHealing us might be nice,â Wild spoke up, and Twilight elbowed him.
The Great Fairy didnât seem offended. âOf course, Hero of the Wilds. It is the least I can do.â
She lifted her hands out of the pool, and as water poured from between her fingers, it faded into gentle sparkles that drifted around the room. They floated around and settled across the heroâs injuries, sweeping them away with a touch like that of flower petals.
Hyrule leaned into them, looking grieved, but calm as the sparkles healed him. Legend watched them in silence when he awoke, as did Four and Twilight, and Wind had a thoughtful look on his face as they sealed a gash on his knee. Sky sighed in relief as they twirled up his broken arm, and Wild faintly smiled when the sparkles trickled up his side, healing whatever the cause of the blood all over his hip was.
Warriors tensed as they reached him, not moving an inch as the sparkles sank in around most of his body. Time kept his hand on his shoulder as they drifted past, and Wind slid up to his side as well, both of them watching as they grew thicker around the captainâs leg and forehead for a few moments. The tiny cuts on his skin were sealed, and the bruises faded until they could only barely be seen.
Time felt his own injuries get healed as well, a smell like honeysuckle and morning dew accompanying the light. They soothed the hurt in his chest from the magic recoil, healed the burns and eased the aches and pains heâd already had in addition.
He waved the sparkles away from his scarred eye once they finished, then turned to help Warriors stand, feeling much more relaxed.
The captain looked relaxed as well, oddly enough, though not as much as everyone else. He still watched the Great Fairy with suspicion, even though his trembling had stilled and his expression had settled back to usual.
And he stiffened again when the Great Fairyâs gaze landed on him once more.
She looked at him steadily, eyes shimmering with remorse, and bowed her head. âMy deepest apologies, Hero of the Shattered Eras.â
Warriors nodded, and didnât look her in the eye.
The Great Fairy waited a moment, as if she was hoping he would verbally respond, then turned her gaze away from him and swept it over the rest of the Links.
âHeroes across the ages, I again offer you my thanks for ridding me of the shadows,â she said, her gaze resting on Time as she spoke. âIf you wish to remain here and rest, you are more than welcome to stay as long as you wish. The little wings should return with my release, and Iâm sure some would be happy to accompany you.â
âThank you,â Time said respectfully, and gave Warriorsâs shoulder a squeeze. âBut we should be moving on. I thank you for your gift of healing, and Iâm glad we could be of service.â
The Great Fairy looked disappointed. But she nodded, and with one last grieved look at them all, slipped back into her pool, a few errant sparkles the only thing left behind.
Warriors drooped when it was evident she was truly gone, and Time wasnât the only one who looked at him with worry. Nobody said anything about it out loud though, just stayed close, and told him they were glad he was okay. Wild thanked him profusely for pushing him out of the way, and Warriors waved him off with a painfully forced smile.
Wind merely leaned on his arm, and Warriors softly ruffled his hair, the sailor looking at him in relief.
They all turned to leave then, beyond ready to get away from the fountain. But a another soft chime caught their attention, making them look back.
A few sparkles were drifting on the edge of the pool, floating together into a vaguely cylindrical shape. The light swirled around, then flashed, before fading away to reveal a small, crystalline bottle, filled with a deep purple liquid.
Looking at it, Time felt oddly sad.
The Links all looked at the bottle with emotion varying from curiosity to suspicion, and Twilight was the one who finally stepped forward and knelt down to pick it up, his eyes going wide as he studied it closer.
âGreat Fairy tears,â he said softly, lifting the bottle with great care.
âWhat do they do?â Four asked, and Twilight looked at the bottle in wonder.
âThey heal any wound. And grant a brief blessing to whoever uses them, one that protects from any harm for a short while,â he said, and Legend whistled.
âI can think of some times that wouldâve been handy.â
âNo kidding,â Wild said with a small glance at Twilight.
âI suppose itâs another apology,â Sky said quietly, and Twilight hummed, about to place the bottle inside of his pack, then hesitated.
â...Do you want to carry it?â he asked, turning to Warriors. âI... have a feeling it was meant for you.â
Warriors shook his head, and looked away. âNo. You can take it.â
Twilight didnât press, and he nodded and gingerly put the bottle away. Everyone took that as the signal to begin making their way out of the restored fairy fountain, and one by one they stepped out into the sunshine.
Time squinted as the light reached his face, and he looked around at the forest theyâd emerged into with wonder. It barely seemed like the same place theyâd left earlierâit was like a spell had been broken, and life was returning to the plants and very earth around him. Time even heard a bird singing somewhere above their heads.
Everyone was looking around with content expressions, satisfied despite the tired way they held themselves. It was always good to see evil purged from the land. Theyâd done a good job today, rough as it had been.
Time looked behind him at where Warriors stood back from the others, still-damp hair shining in the rays of sunlight. Time wouldnât have guessed anything had happened to him, except for the pallor of his skin, and the blood still staining his clothes.
Time moved closer and gently set an arm around his shoulders, light enough that the captain could pull back if he wished. He felt Warriors stiffen at the touch, but then he abruptly leaned into it, his eyes squeezing shut.
âYou all right?â Time asked, soft enough to only be heard by Warriors.
âYes,â Warriors whispered back, slowly breathing in, and then out. Time moved his arm from his shoulders, and turned to face him so he could see him better. âIâm sorry I wasnât much use in the battle.â
Time felt a sharp prick of guilt, and swallowed. He could still see his brotherâs terrified face, the franticness with which he slammed his hands against the bottle, the way heâd been unable to stop shaking after getting out.
How still heâd looked, surrounded by blood and shattered glass.
âItâs hardly your fault,â Time finally replied. âIâm so sorry we werenât able to free you sooner.â
âYou did what you could. I didnât even know those bottles could break, that was impressive,â Warriors admitted, his expression unreadable. âThe light arrows were a good idea. Thank... thank you,â he said in an even softer voice. His shoulders gave one quick shudder, and Time hated how it made him feel. âFor getting me out of there.â
Time swallowed, and leaned forward, lightly setting his head against Warriorsâs. âYou would do the same, big brother.â
Warriors gave him a hint of a smile, and Time held him just a little closer as they leaned against each other.
They would still need to have a proper discussion of everything, figure out how the Shadow had corrupted a Great Fairy, try to make sure Warriors wouldnât just brush over this incident like he tended to do. Warriors would doubtlessly try to avoid it, but... the discussion could wait.
For now... Time just wanted to enjoy standing here in the sunshine. The battle won, the danger past.
Warriors closed his eyes, and Time drew him into a proper hug, Warriors letting out a shaky sigh as he let himself be held.
His brother alive and safe beside him.

Weird Gravity Falls question:
As fans, weâre all aware that Filbrick sucked as a dad.
But do Stan and Ford understand that?
It seems obvious to us outside viewers, but I donât exactly recall any comments by either senior Pines twin that would suggest they have connected those dots. I believe itâs fairly normal for children of abusive, neglectful or just simply bad parents to think their parentâs behavior was normal or that they deserved it or whatever, and in addiction to not being able to remember a moment where they admit their dad sucked, they certainly have both internalized his words.
Ford continued to pursue his education and was obsessed with academic excellence, as that seemed to be the one and only thing that made his father show him any kind of appreciation.
Stan continued to obsess over money, as his dad told him that was the only way he was allowed to return home. And letâs not forget his comment in the finale âdad was right, I am a screw upâ
But again, and please please correct me if Iâm wrong, I canât think of anything either of them has said that criticizes their fatherâs actions. Thereâs the comment that he âwasnât easily impressedâ which I think more than anything, serves more as an excuse for his actions. Heck, in the flashback of Stan taking boxing lessons, I felt that whole scene was framed as Filbrick being a good dad, personally, I thought he was a good dad up until A Tale of Two Stans.
Idk I guess I just always assumed that after several decades they started to understand that Filbrick wasnât a great dad, but itâs perfectly realistic for neither of them to have come to that conclusion, and frankly, the tiny bits of evidence from the show support this being the case.
I rambled a bit here, but what do you all think? Did I forget a moment that proves they do see their dad wasnât a good dad? Do you think they have processed that part of their childhoods?
#gravity falls#tw: abuse#tw: neglect#stan pines#ford pines#stanford pines#stanley pines#filbrick pines#at this point Iâm just imagining them thinking very neutrally about their dad#more like âyeah this wasnât his finest moment but he was okay!â#and then one day dipper and Mabel make some comment about how Filbrick sucked#and at first the Stans are like âexcuse me thatâs your great grandfather donât talk about him like thatâ#and then the kids just start listing all the terrible things Filbrick did#and it slowly starts dawning on Stan and ford#they start thinking âI would kill anyone who did any of that to dipper and Mabel why was it okay for dad to do that to us?â

#dbtag#silly hours#god#I feel like that's a really clear and consistent thing throughout the entirety of the manga but OTL leave it to Toei!!!!#lays on the floor I wish people were less afraid of letting âgood guysâ be flawed and selfish and reckless without having to like.#idk vilify them?#like Goku does and always has had a ton of negative qualities about him but what keeps him a protag and what keeps those negatives charming#is that 1) he never promises to be anything Else. Goku's childlikeness keep him authentically emotional.#MORE kids -- ESPECIALLY little boys -- deserve a male protagonist who leans into his emotions to persevere and win.#Super deciding his âangelic stateâ would kill him makes me want to tear my hair out lmao Goku's EMOTIONS are too strong to hold it.#you could've just asked toriyama about it why'd you decide on the most basic high-stakes shorthand possible OTL#aNYWAY#media analysis#in the tags at least lol

What's your favorite DnDads Players vs. DM hostility. I'll go first mine's when the dm straight up wrote one of his pcs out of existence and made up a whole new guy that took his place and then called up the brother of the the player whose character got evaporated to play as a new member in the party.
#dndads is great because occasionally I think the hosts are all trying to kill each other with their minds#it works but also. from an outside perspective some of the things the hosts do to eachothers characters is insane#my second place choice is the conversation about the whale#dungeons and daddies#dndads#dndads spoilers#podcasts

okay its no secret i dont buy into marazhai being the persona he puts on. so as i've officially met him in game now, im making a list of all the in-game reasons i think he's a bit of an idiot [which i love btw. i find him far more compelling if he's a bit stupid/weird and he's trying so hard not to be but you just know nobody in commorragh is inviting him to parties]
the very first time you get a glance of him on a rooftop and. 'deal with this' "of course" proceeds to just walk off like 3 seconds after the other two
ambushes you. has you cornered. is in optimal position to kick your ass frankly, high ground and better weapons and utilising shock against you. ...he bitches at you for a while, gets insulted, then runs off into the forest with a maniacal cackle
heinrix fired a mild insult [considering what he's like to everyone else its barely an insult] and he took big enough issue with it to start saying how he'll break him and turn him into a pet. oh sure dude you're responding super well to this mild comment from the guy who accidentally insults everyone and their entire ancestral line at some point
i think it says something that he's learned to speak your language fluently too. that Has to be some kind of Yikes moment to admit publicly in drukhari culture. buried family secret great great grandfather drukhari-georg learned to speak mon keigh and now we claim he just spoke oddly because was shot in the head as a child to prevent the shame
he also knows the mon keigh lore that says youre a super special little guy as rogue trader and actually LISTENS to the fact you're the special little guy as rogue trader. and he does treat you as more equal/with more respect than the other characters. thats not just a drukhari culture yikes thats what gets you checked for a concussion or brain damage
literally socially atrocious enough its believed he's working with you [read: with you. not using you, not manipulating, cooperating. this is a big difference i feel] and only he himself doesnt believe it
ignore the fact he eventually DOES work with you which. is its own follow up statement
challenges you to fight him, to give chase then and there. i made him wait while i went through english government simulator where i queued for multiple days, did multiple day/week voidship trips back and forth, got distracted by accidentally starting jae's romance, pasqal telling me to servitorise her, getting blackout drunk with her, shipwide broadcast tm, giving her a voidship, her getting me a space cat, attacked by pirates, dealt with a plague, explored a few extra systems.......................
he destroys your palace. ...its rebuilt effectively within a week. most of the damage is in bodies which are just sent to the poor district to rot [almost feels worse than the damage done good job imperium]
the throne has claw marks. he could've blown it up or shot it or piled corpses on it but no he wanted to sit on the fancy chair and so turned into a common housecat mauling the sofa arm
how long was he just sitting there lounging on that chair? again see how long i kept him waiting. he was just sitting there trying to find a comfy position on this [for him] kinda small chair JUST so he could briefly taunt, break your window with his space motorbike, jump off the chair in a dramatic [but not gunna lie not that impressive] feat of gymnastics, then fly out. he doesnt even shoot at you as he leaves
i will continue my list as i see more that entertain me
#warhammer rogue trader#rogue trader marazhai#marazhai rogue trader#marazhai aezyrraesh#dont listen to how he tries to portray himself hes LAME and i thoroughly enjoy that about him#like. marazhai is a social outcast on so many levels and he is trying SO hard to compensate. it makes him incredibly interesting#ive seen some stuff of him later on but not all that much so im really curious how it'll go/how well i've grasped him#my current thoughts on him? he's just. fundamentally someone who desperately wants to be understood#but in all his long life he's never found it. and commorragh isnt a place for weakness like that. so he acts over it#he pretends to be some great evil mastermind with a lot of flair which is Intentional. because he doesnt know how to act like other drukhar#so concealing that is the best he's got. he doesnt realise the yawning gaps that show it for what it is and bring distain on him anyway#drukhari hate him because he's not like them. he's odd and dramatic and takes things to heart when he shouldnt but dismisses things he shou#he's tolerated for his blood connections and how it killing him could be an invitation for feud. he's also easy to get out of the way#send him to go chat to some mon keigh he'll be so fixated on setting the stage for the meeting he'll miss the important stuff#humans hate him bc he's drukhari. they believe the way he portrays himself because it fits propaganda#hell he may've even learned how to act drukhari from human stories. it'd fit tbh. ....i want to think more on this now#either way he loses. and tbh thats why i do like the idea of him with pasqal. theyre both freaks and social outcasts despite their ranks#robot rambles
