Oh boy uhm. Really nervous to ask this
First of all, I've recently started following you and I just have to say, I love your work. Everytime I read your posts it has me giggling and kicking my goofy little feet in the air./pos /gen
I was wondering if you could write about what if Doey and his 3 consciousness would do with a blind player /w broken glasses (Their vision is shit and can only make out things if they're REALLY close to their face 💔)
It's completely fine if you don't want to do this or don't have the time, just dropping down a small request :3
AHJBHEJFGWQKJBHKFER, ahem, thank you omg ur so sweet- and also this came to me at the right time because my vision is also ass but I refuse to wear glasses so shhh🤫🤫🤫 AND DO NOT BE NERVOUS ABOUT REQUESTING I DON’T BITE, PINKY SWEAR😤
Doey with a reader whose vision is bad bad 👓🤏😐

You honestly had no idea how you’ve made it this far-
From using your grab pack to grab handles that seem just like a glowing color, to reaching for batteries that seem like a speck of dust, and even not knowing that you killed monsters(you didn’t even realize Catnap died until Poppy told you herself)
Speaking of Miss Wendy’s head, she also has no clue how you came such a long way. But she figured that if you could manage to do all of this without good vision, the things you could do with perfect vision would be unimaginable in a place like this.
Either way you survived and you did the job, that’s all that counted.
After escaping..uhm, a rainbow lion or whatever. You quickly came across a green dinosaur that somehow made piano noises, though for the 15 seconds that you first saw him, the next 15 seconds were how he died. You couldn’t tell what killed him until the something crawled out of the darkness and came straight up towards you.
“Hiya there pallll, don’t worry! I won’t eat you. Ahahah..”
You recognized who that something was, Doey. You were a pass employee after all, but he was hard to see. And hard to understand where he was at during the whole encounter. Was he spying on you when you couldn’t see? Who knows?
The mascot told you to follow him as he managed to squeeze his way through the holes in the brick walls, which made everything wayyyyy more confusing than it had to be.
Appalled, you literally just didn’t know where to go to follow him, you looked up, down, left, right, but all you could see was a blur.
Doey, eventually realized that you weren’t following him, so when be went back to where you first were, he was meant with you trying to grab the handle above(you found out how to follow him eventually) and missing each time miserably.
“Do you need help with that bud?”
(he scared you to death)
You sheepishly told him that you could not see a single thing unless it was real close to you. That’s why you’re missing so much.
He was a bit dumbfounded because if you were “Poppy’s friend,” wouldn’t she had chosen someone who would be the least at risk when it came to this sort of things. He imagined that if he grabbing a handle was a hassle for you, then everything else you’ve done must have been horribly troublesome for you.
Because Poppy wouldn’t let someone who’s basically BLIND do all her dirty work..right?
Right????
He decided to deal with that problem later, for now he wants to guide you personally to Save Haven. Somewhere where you can be safe until it’s not, or until he figures out what to do with you.
His way of transporting you was simple, just for you to piggy-back ride him til the area was reached(Jack just wanted a way to kind of actually touch someone without doing it randomly🎀)
Once at Safe Haven he had the Medic check up on you in case you got injured in anyway while he had a “chat” with Poppy.
“You let someone who can barely see go out and do all of the things someone in top-notch shape should be doing?”
“Listen Doey, who else is going to be down here and help us. Who else is capable to do the things they’re doing!?”
“Not them.”
“Doey-”
“I know you want this to happen as fast as possible Poppy. But using Y/n isn’t the right option, it’s a miracle they’ve survived for this long. And if they would’ve died, it would’ve caused the Prototypes attention much more then if Y/n hadn’t came here to begin with.”
“You don’t get it, Y/n has potential- you’ve seen what they’ve done!”
“And it’s great, but they’ve done enough. They will stay here until the Prototype is dead, end of discussion Poppy.”
And he means to keep his word until he physically cannot do so anymore.
Matthew is definitely the most concerned about your predicament. When he’s in control he’ll kind of be like a butler or a guidance for you. He makes sure that the other toys in Safe Haven know about your vision so that if they play or you’re helping them do whatever, that they know to either play gentle or not ask too much from you when you’re around.
Kevin did not give two craps at first I’m so so sorry😭 He’s so inconsiderate ain’t he beginning like, they don’t have glasses? Are they poor? When he’s first met you he purposefully hid your items from you just so you get annoyed. But when you got closer with his personality, he yells at anyone who bothers you or hides things from you. A hypocrite at his finest.
Jack used your vision as an opportunity to bond with you. Even if he wasn’t purposely doing it he sometimes uses your lack of sight to his advantage for entertainment. If you need something but can’t see it(it’s literally on your sleeping bag and you’re IN the tent) he makes a game out of it like if he finds it first you have to give him a hug or a high-five. He also wonders about it most too, so you literally just cannot see? Interesting…he said he’d cry if that happened to him. Okay Jack. Okay.

The Technical Analyst and the Boy Genius: Spencer x Reader
Summary: You finally get your dream job working as a technical analyst for the BAU, but one team member isn't happy you're there. Warnings: Angst, talk of death, guns, shootings, stomach wounds
Want to read more, visit my Masterlist!
Five years. It took you five years to make it where you are today. Five years of no sleep, constant anxiety and a need to get where you want to be.
You worked your butt off in school to get your many degrees, but your hidden passion was computer work. Getting into the many cracks that was hidden and searching for answers or for what was in the unknown. It was what made you so useful to the FBI.
Throughout your five years of working for the FBI, you had been with multiple units as a technical analyst, helping your coworkers save the day on different missions. It brought you more joy than you would have thought it did when you stepped into the FBI building all those years ago.
Within that time, you've joined your teams on and off the field helping, and you struggled with what you liked better, field work or office work. Either way, you were helping. So, when you got the offer to transfer to the FBI's BAU, though you were sad to leave your team, you jumped at the chance to work with the group that was your end goal. And that was because of one person.
Penelope.
You both had only met a handful of times, your schedules always opposite of each other and your work bringing you to different locations didn't help either. But she was your mentor and her word was gospel. It had started your first year at the FBI, you had hacked into her computers just for fun and since then you were best friends. And now you were finally getting to work right were you wanted to be.
"Oh my god, oh my god, it's you! It's really you!" Penn gasped out once she saw you make your way through the double doors of the BAU's bull pen. She squished you into a hug, disregarding the fact you had a huge box in your hand.
You laughed in her embrace and your free hand circled her back. "I know it feels like a dream!"
You stood there chatting for a second before a smooth masculine voice came from behind Penn. "I heard we were getting a new partner in crime, I didn't think she'd be this beautiful." He stopped besides Penelope before saying to her, "Not as beautiful as you, baby girl."
You smiled at the exchange between the two. You had done your research on the team, Penn suppling you with random lists she made of each member to help you get to know them better. "You must be Derek Morgan, it's a pleasure to meet you." You said, stretching out your one good hand to shake.
"You know me?" Derek chuckled, as he shook your hand.
"I've done my research." You winked at him before laughing.
"See, she'll fit right in." Penn said before grabbing your hand and introducing you to everyone.
--
Two weeks had flown by since you started working besides Penn. It was awkward at first getting to know the team and how each one worked, but you didn't mind. It was the awkward bits that made it fun. You had managed to nail down how everyone worked and what they expected, except for Spencer. He was upset at you randomly, bickering at the things you said or just wanting the news from Penelope. Rossi told you it was because he didn't like change, and not to take it personally. But as the days went by, it was starting to, not matter how hard you were telling yourself to power through.
It wasn't until a case that required you specifically was when he started acting differently.
It was a strange case, the UnSub would implant a virus into large computer server farms, where he would kill his victims by using flashing lights and noises through their computers to send them into a deathly seizure. The only way to rid this virus was to remove the discs that were implanted in person while also blocking it remotely from getting to people. It was a two-person job, and Hotch decided it was best to fly you out with them since you were cleared for field work.
Spencer wasn't thrilled and he made it known, Hotch sending him looks to shut him up when he started. You didn't mind when he wasn't besides you, you could ignore it like you used to when you had similar thoughts from people on your old teams, but when Hotch paired you two together with Derek that's when it started to annoy you and it just got worse as the day went on.
"Do you ever shut up?" You asked him that night at the police station. Everyone was trying to figure where the UnSub would strike next, but all Spencer could do was dismiss everything you'd say.
The room grew silent when you finally snapped. Derek and Emily biting their lips to stop from smiling because you finally stuck up for yourself.
"I don't care if you're a genius. You don't know computers like I do. If I were the UnSub, I would strike here. It's a huge server farm with plenty of rooms full of servers to sneak this virus in. He's gone with all smaller farms before and has been building his way up. He's cocky, and he isn't going to stop until he hits the biggest farms." Spencer stood quiet, watching you as you took a deep breath in before you tilted your head at him. "Oh, and did I forget to mention, I have several degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice along with degrees in almost every field on computer work?"
The room broke out into chuckles, Spencer remaining silent. Rossi gave you a pat on the back with a small wink. "I think you finally broke him. Good job."
The next day, you were once again paired up with Spencer, this time alone. He was quiet as you drove and didn't say a word until you were at the farm when he grabbed you and whispered to be quiet.
You looked at him shocked, he wasn't one for physical touch, especially to new people and you knew it wouldn't happen with you with how much he disliked you. He pointed at the hallway that upon inspection had droplets of blood going down it. Spencer drew his weapon and stepped in front of you as you both headed down the hall to find a security guard leaning against the wall bleeding from several gunshot wounds.
Spencer called for an ambulance and back up before saying, "I'm Doctor Reid with the FBI, what happened?""
The man struggled to sit up so he could talk. You helped him up, pressing your sweater against his wounds. "A man came in, shot me and headed to our main server room. I tried to lock down the doors before he could get in, but he shot the control booth and shot me again."
You looked up at the control panel in the small room next to you. Spencer replaced your hands on the man's stomach and nodded for you to take a look. The panel was beyond fixing, the only way into the server room was to unlock it by hacking into the lock on the door. You looked back Spencer who was holding the man up as he reassured him help was on the way.
"The only way to open the room is accessing the panel box on the door. We're going to have get to the main room." Spencer nodded and helped looked at the security guard next to him.
"Tell me how to do it, you stay here with him."
"It's not something you can just figure out, it's something I need to do."
"No, Y/L/N. It's too dangerous, you're just an office worker."
You sent him an annoyed look. "I'm more qualified than you think I am."
"You may think you're qualified, but they didn't give you a gun. So, tell me what to do."
You looked at him and sighed. There was no way he could unlock the access panel in time to stop the UnSub and arguing back and forth was stalling you both. You could either give him the information and hope he figures it out or break away from Spencer and do it yourself.
In no way did you want credit or glory in taking down an UnSub, you just wanted to stop him. You didn't want him to take more lives than he already had, and this server farm was huge, and he could easily kill hundreds if he wanted too. Wasting time was ideal in this situation. You could have your badge taken away or be removed from the team, but you knew you had to try. So, you did the opposite of what the boy genius was telling you to do, and that was to sprint out of the control room, Spencer screaming for you to come back as you headed to the main server room.
You looked at the control panel on the side wall, pulling the frame off of it before plugging in your phone to it and taking over the controls. Your brain felt like it was on fire with how hard you were trying to find the specific number pattern to help your phone out. Once you figured it out you could easily hack into main control system and open the door. But you still had the UnSub to think about. He already shot up the security guard which he hasn't done before. So, you had to figure he was by the door, gun ready for you to come in. You were a few seconds away to opening up the door when an angry Spencer came running your way, his face red with anger.
You didn't have time to think, you just did. You launched yourself at Spencer, knocking him over as the door opened and bullets flew towards you.
Spencer was stunned with your body draped over his, your sweet perfume mixing with his woodsy scent. He watched you quickly get up, somehow dodging the few bullets that was shot at you before knocking the gun out of the UnSub's hand with a roundhouse kick before swiftly taking him the ground, his face smooshed into the ground. You looked like an angel and his brain couldn't comprehend what just happened.
The sound of footsteps heading his way and JJ leaning down to check on him brought Spencer back to reality. You single handedly stopped an UnSub with a roundhouse kick while saving his life a few seconds earlier.
Hotch quickly took over from you and handcuffed the UnSub. "Go, I got this."
You nodded and looked at the hundreds of servers in front of you, analyzing which ones could contain the virus. The team watched you as you figured which ones had it and how many there were. The rest of the day was spent disarming the virus, Spencer following you around as you went holding onto whatever you gave him.
--
"Hey, Y/N." Spencer's voice came from behind you as you made your way to the plane's stairs.
You turned aorund to find him staring at you, nervousness written all over his face. "Yeah?"
He cleared his throat. "Um, I just wanted to thank you for back at the server farm. You knew what needed to be done, and you were able to stop the virus before it could take another life. So good job back there."
A smile crept onto your face at how nervous he was to thank you. "No problem. I have anti-terrorist training from one of the old units I worked with. We profile and anticipate their next moves so it was pretty similar."
"You were a field agent?" He asked, as he made his way up the stairs behind you.
"Yeah, I worked on and off the field in my old units. It helps me from going stir crazy." You laughed and took a seat on the couch, Spencer joining you.
"Wow, and the karate?"
"Oh, I was a gymnast and did karate growing up."
The rest of the plane ride you spent talking with Spencer about your old units and your interests.
Emily looked over at Rossi and Derek before nodding over to the two of you. "Looks like they're going to be inseparable soon."
"Looks like you and Penelope have some competition." Rossi chuckled.
"Baby girl and I are going to have to step it up."
JJ tuned around in her seat to join the conversation. "Looks like Spence is already pretty comfortable."
The team looked over to see your head on Spencer's shoulder and his on rest on the top of yours, sleep finally catching up to you two.
Hotch sighed at the two of you. "Don't tell me I'm going to have to watch them too."

TMA - Chapters 191-200: We'll meet again
This is the last reaction post about TMA.
We’ve done it. We’ve reached the end and I am still not ready. AT ALL.
I don’t know what we’ll face, and I’m scared to find out. But we made a very long journey, just like our heroes, so it’s only fair to end it together.
Let’s do it, guys: let’s face my favourite bitch and save the world.
Maybe?
Hopefully???
<< Main Masterlist < Previous post
_______________________________
MAG 191 - What We Lose
Aaand we start the last reaction post, by finding out that Jon sleeps with his eyes open. Wonderful, I can imagine Martin turning around in their bed, cracking an eye open, so happy to be with his boyfriend… and he loses 20 years of life, because he sees a sleeping Jon, staring back at him. If this thing alone didn’t kill him by now, Martin is basically immortal.
We also learn that Celia is actually Lynne the MoneyGrabber, straight from MAG 100! Oh, I remember that MAG! It was all so easy back then: Melanie was confused about the new job she randomly got, Martin was still drawing little M+J in his secret diary, Tim was 300% done with life and my esteemed bitch Elias decided to do the most chaotic thing possible, which was making everyone record statements for The Eye.
Oh, Elias, I miss you so much. You were such a funny bitch, I can’t believe we’re going to meet you again soon <3
Thanks, Arun, I just needed another confirmation that we don’t know how this series will end. But hey, Jon doesn’t know either so, just like Martin did some MAGs ago, he lists the potential scenarios as well:
Best case scenario: they push back the Powers and Jon survives as a weak avatar
Worst case scenario: they destroy all Powers and Jon dies
“Meh” case scenario: they destroy all Powers and Jon loses a huge part of himself along with The Eye (his identity/mind/memories/whatever)
At this point, I don't know which scenario will be the right one. Considering Jon’s huge glowing “DEAD” sign on his head, I’m supposed to believe the worst-case scenario is the right one.
But this scenario has a huge problem and the problem is “destroying the Powers”. I mean, if they manage to destroy them… does that make a new world, devoid of any fear? Any fear at all?
That could be a problem. A HUGE problem. How can you make a world with no fears whatsoever? Fear is fundamental for survival. Just imagine a world where you don’t fear anything. Seems cool, until you turn on the stove, do not fear the flame and get burned alive. Or you cross the road without looking because you don’t fear the cars and a car runs over you.
Any kind of world needs fear as a factor. And I don’t know in what kind of world Protocol takes place, but I doubt it’s completely devoid of any fear.
So maybe there is another option: the option of pushing the Fears back by sacrificing something that, depending on how evil Mr. Sims is, can be Jon’s identity, mind, memory or life.
Oh, and let’s not forget that wild card called Martin. Sure, he promised his love for Jon won’t stop him from dooming the world, but he said nothing regarding killing himself too. Or sacrificing something of himself, instead of Jon. Or even sacrificing another Archivist. After all, we just found out there are a shit ton of other Archivists roaming in the galleries, all trying to reach the Panopticon. Nothing stops Martin from sacrificing a couple of them, if he can get the same result.
Oh my god, please tell me that the final moral of the story is “Don’t mess with cat owners”. Gertrude started a rampage against all Powers because The Desolation killed her cat, Georgie is going to save the world because she wants her cat back.
TMA reconfirms the biggest truth of this world: cats are the true rulers of Earth, and we humans do everything we do, because of them. No matter how many eldritch, supernatural cosmic horrors might come: cats will always be the only rulers.

The faces of two rulers. Of the house and of the world too <3
_______________________________
MAG 192 - An Appointment
Oh, my bad: the Archivists aren’t just roaming in the galleries. They’re more like fish out of the water, lying around and flopping once in a while (read: when they hear a sound).
Elias is very good at organizing a warm welcome.
Georgie gives them the typical advice of any manga or fantasy story. Love it.
Okay, that was actually very cute. Georgie might be though and fearless and whatever, but she’s still concerned and want Jon to come back alive. She’s a cutie!
Wow, rude. Didn’t Rosie read Martin’s CV? It’s clearly written he’s not “an associate”, but “the Antichrist’s plus one”. It’s here, Martin wrote it, he told me.
Speaking of Rosie: wow, she was such a forgettable (and forgotten by the narrative) character, I had no idea she was Elias’ assistant. We probably met her what, once? Maybe twice? Don’t remember. And I love that the series justifies it, by showing how she got progressively more stuck in her place and role, useful enough for The Eye to snoop around, but weak enough to be put in a spot and stay there even during the apocalypse.
Martin has more balls than anyone in the universe: he sees Elias/Jonah/Jolene/Jimmy Magma lost in an endless litany of stories he’s Watching and Knowing everywhere, surrounded by statics, swirling paper and who knows what other dark shit and his reaction is calling him dickhead and threatening to kick his ass.
I love him. I just love him <3
Ooookay? He literally became The Eye’s pupil, so he’s the means through which The Eye can see everything, I suppose. Cool.
That means, in order to stop everything, they have to kill him? After all, how can you stop an eye from looking, if not by stabbing it? But if they do it, what stops The Eye from putting the next one (read: Jon) in this position?
_______________________________
MAG 193 - A Stern Look
Oh, look, it seems like I was right.
GODDAMIT WHY AM I RIGHT.
First of all, this:
Oh my god, please tell me that the solution to kill Jonah will be to throw stones at Elias’ body. It would be hilarious - and it would reconfirm, once again, the only true rule of TMA: that if you want to stop a ritual, you have to throw shit at it. If stopping the apocalypse requires Martin and Jon throwing shit at Elias, my life would be complete.
Second: it was nice to see a glimpse of the original Elias, the pothead guy who got a job and doesn’t even know why. He just knows he Has To Be Here, because the Master of Peepers and probably Jonah too wanted him in the Institute. Wonderful.
And thanks to that, Jon learns that hey, he can still kill his body! And kill Jonah too! But oh, look, it seems like I was right, because if you kill one Eye avatar, there is a convenient replacement available right there, a replacement called “Jonathan Sims”.
GODDAMIT WHY AM I RIGHT.
Oh good, so The Eye is not just Big Brother, the Master of Peepers and a big softie who gifts domains to the people it likes (like Martin): it’s also a backstabbing traitor, who has no problem sacrificing the faithful guy who worked centuries for it, for the new one.
Honestly, I’m not even that surprised.
_______________________________
MAG 194 - Parting
Uh, so the place of honor for this party of the apocalypse was specifically made for Jon, right beside the evil entity.
Mh, I wonder if the evil entity told Jon he would fit “right in with my freaks” and that with his help his dimension “will be free” and that it will make “a fun world, a better world” and that Jon will be “greater than anything you’ve imagined”.
Footage of Jon if he joins The Eye. There are no references to Gravity Falls, you’re imagining them.
Thanks for noticing, Martin. I thought I was the only one to notice Jon was liking power a bit too much, considering his “Kill Bill” mode quickly escalated into “Petty revenges on everyone who wronged me even by accident”.
Oh my gosh, so the statement of the old knocker becoming a parasite who will never leave poor Malcolm was The Eye’s way to convince Jon to join it? A sort of “You will never get rid of me” thing?
… not exactly subtle. And a bit rude. But we already saw that with Martin: The Eye is a bit of a blunt guy. Entity. Whatever.
And yes, The Eye is getting more and more similar to Bill Cipher. I’m waiting for when it will serenade Jon to convince him to join.
And just when I was thinking: “Wait, maybe now Martin will ask Annabelle Cane for some help to save the world and Jon”, what happened? Martin and Annabelle fucking Cane disappeared.
Well, it was about time to finally see the spider lady doing something more than just being on the sidelines, playing with payphones and being Salesa’s housemate.
And I personally can’t wait to know this fucked up plan in its entirety.
For now, we have these steps:
Talking to Martin through payphones about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ the Mother-Of-Puppets
Living with Salesa in his oasis
Cooking him dinner and keeping him alive for as long as necessary
When Martin and Jon appear, say some cryptic bullshit
Once Salesa dies, steal his camera that hides from other Powers
Bring Martin to Hill Top Road
I can’t wait to find out all the other insane moves of this overcomplicated plan. I love The Web <3
But it doesn’t matter how much I love the Powers: humans are more hilarious. And Melanie hitting Jon with her cane, while reminding him of the human power of thinking is too good.
She’s not wrong, tho: Jon is so focused on absorbing knowledge, he cannot see further than his nose. I am sure that, once he starts using his head again, he will find a more suitable solution.
Or see the glowing sign on his head that says “DEAD”, but I hope he’ll ignore it and find another way to deal with the apocalypse.
_______________________________
MAG 195 - Adrift
And what does Jon plan? To pick up Basira for help.
See, Jon? See what happens, when you use your mind to think and don’t just wait to be spoon-fed knowledge by The Eye?
So The Eye is not just a peeper, a softie and a backstabber: it’s also a fair employer that rewards you for your hard work. Pretty neat. Sure, the Knowing Everything part isn’t very nice, but working for it doesn’t sound too bad - until it backstabs you.
Oh right, I forgot to add one detail to Annabelle’s uber fucked up plan:
steal previous statements and use them to lure Jon
I love every stupid detail of this stupidly complicated plan <3
_______________________________
MAG 196 - This Old House
So.
We have a hole in reality. A place where reality cracked and that may lead to other universes. A rift, if you want. An interdimensional rift, maybe.

TMA is not even trying to hide the connections with GF and I’m totally okay with it.
And now, let me see if I got The Web’s plan:
Protect this hole in reality for centuries and wait for the moment it will be cracked open (aka the death of Raymond Fielding because of the Corruption)
Spy on the Archives and use tapes to build a ginormous web
Lure-not-lure the Archivist on Hill Top Road by making him aware that there is something sinister in this place
Do one trillion bullshit moves in the meantime to shift the attention anywhere else except on this place
Consider taking Martin as part of The Web
Discard the idea
Consider feeding him to the spiders
Discard the idea again
Consider using Martin to drive the Archivist to despair
Discard the idea again because Martin is a boss and cannot be tamed by anything
Decide to tell the truth
Use Martin to bring the Archivist on Hill Top Road
Literally tie Martin so he stops doing unpredictable things
Wait for the Archivist to come so he can… completely open the hole? Turn it into the gateway to other dimensions? So Jon & co. can jump into it and leave the world to the Powers? But what would The Web gain from it? Is this another step of this overcomplicated plan?
I need more steps. Feed me more steps, spider lady.
_______________________________
MAG 197 - Connected
Okay. Okay. OKAY.
First of all: Tape Recorder. You. All this time…
*Tape Recorder dramatically reveals it’s part of The Web*
100/10, Best plot twist.
The Fears: eateateateateat The End and The Web: sure, guys, this is nice, but we’ve also been thinking… The Fears: eateateateateat The End and The Web: maybe we should try to plan our future a bit more, mh? The Fears: eateateateateat The End and The Web: seriously guys, we should see a bit further… The Fears: eateateateateat The End and The Web: guys, if we take over the world, eventually we’re going to die! The Fears: eateateateateat The End: what are we going to do? Those morons are not listening! The Web: leave it to me, bro. *proceeds with the most overcomplicated plan mankind has ever seen*
I’ve said since forever that The End would eventually take over everything and look, The End and the Web both realized it. And realized they were fucked in the long-term.
So… what did The Web plan?
do all the previously mentioned ubercomplicated shit
find the right guy who will be doomed to become the Archivist and mark him since childhood WHAT THE FUCK THE WEB SAW THIS FAR IN TIME HOLY SHIT
take his voice through Tape Recorder and its clones and use it to build the web on the abyss
do all the other ubercomplicated shit
give Jon a lighter since SEASON FUCKING UNO WHEN I NAIVELY ASKED MYSELF “Oooh, I wonder what this light will be used for!” HOLY FUCKING SHIT
tell him about the connection to other worlds
convince him to destroy the Archives and kill Jonah at the same time
Once the Fears lose both grips on reality given by Jonah and the Archives, they will be pushed into the hole and into a new world still untouched by them
They can resume eating in the new world, until someone stupid enough finds a way to release them again, so the Fears will have to find another escape route again and so on forever and ever
I fucking cannot believe that the plan to save the world truly involves throwing shit. Until now, we threw shit at the Fears. Now, it’s the turn of the Fears to be thrown somewhere. Specifically, in a dimensional hole like fucking trash. I am in love.
Being a Fear sucks. Either you’re a mindless idiot or, if you’re one of the only two blessed with a brain, you will have to plan an escape route and always fear when you gain a tiny bit of power, because it may be the beginning of the end.
Considering that, if I were Jon, I would go with Annabelle’s plan with a smile on my face. I would destroy the Archives with zero remorse and kill Jonah with even less guilt.
And while he dies and I know The Eye and all other Powers are watching, I would bend and whisper into his ear, to all Fears: “Good luck finding another escape route, bitches”.
Because sure, they found a convenient escape route in this universe, but what tells them the next one will have another escape route? What if it won’t and they get trapped in their own apocalypse? And the last thing they will remember is the face of the motherfucker who trapped them?
It’s the best revenge ever. It fucks the Fears in the long run and gives a massive headache to The End and The Web, who will have to plan another escape from the start.
There are only pros here, Jon. Go with this plan.

MAG 198 - Precipice
I kinda love how Jon’s statements are progressively more and more similar to a bathroom break. He always gets the urge in the worst situations, he needs some privacy to do them and he really should’ve checked before starting a trip, because it’s 100% sure he will get the urge right in the middle of it.
Aaaand that’s it: this episode was Jon’s bathroom break and our bathroom break too, before the grand finale.
Oh my gosh, the finale is coming. Jon should decide what to do.
So please, allow me to explain both scenarios:
Scenario 1 - Jon takes Jonah’s place
He kills The Eye? He doesn’t know.
How? He doesn’t know.
Will he survive? He doesn’t know.
Will this solve the apocalypse? He doesn’t know.
Scenario 2 - The Web’s plan
Jon gets rid of the Fears. Not just The Eye, but all of them. Even if Annabelle lied, there’s at least a 50% chance she was telling the truth and 50% is still better than 0.
How? Jon has a clear plan, step by step. He knows what to do.
Will he survive? He will lose the parts of him that are too close to The Eye. Which can mean 50% of himself. Still, 50% is better than being dead.
Will this solve the apocalypse? Yes.
Will other people from other universes die? Maybe, but he doesn’t know. Maybe they’re more clever than the ones in Jon’s universe. Maybe they will never try to evoke the Fears.
Will this fuck up the Fears in the long run? Definitely.
Will they die, one day, and remember Jon’s smug face when he exiled them in a place with no escape routes? Absolutely.
And remember, Jon: those bitches fucked you up since you were a child. They exploited you. Sure, being the one who kills them all will be satisfying, but since you have no idea if you will succeed, why not fuck them in the long run? And considering their life sucks, keeping them alive to suffer is much more satisfying than freeing them with death.
Just like you threw shit to stop the rituals, it’s now time to throw shit again, Jon. This time, it’s the Fears. Throw them and reclaim your life.
_______________________________
MAG 199 - Seeing it Through
Oh, so the scenarios are not two, but three.
The Web’s plan.
Jon takes over and tries to make the place more “tolerable”.
They do nothing and let the universe rot.
But since they do not know if option 2 will ever succeed and Jon will actually be able to do anything, we can put options 2 and 3 together, thus turning them into one single option 2.
And since our heroes can understand by themselves that option 1 is an actual plan while option 2 is nothing, they all push for option 1… aside from Jon, who finally read the DEAD sign on his head and now he really really wants to die.
Worst timing EVER.
So, he makes some points that don’t make a lot of sense and I would like to jump into this conversation, because I have some points to make too, starting from: are those people in other universes doomed?
Jon thinks that they are, but he (and all others) seems to forget a pretty important detail: we’re talking about the multiverse. As Martin said, these “thousands” of other worlds on the other side of the abyss may be just a speck of the entirety of the multiverse.
Considering that, what makes Jon & co. think these worlds all have the same conditions of their own? How can they know the other realities even have the necessary conditions for life to develop?
As far as they know, life might be immensely rare in the multiverse. And nothing tells them the worlds on the other side will bear the same kind of life their world has. Maybe there isn’t life at all. Maybe there is a completely different kind of life, one that the Fears cannot feast upon.
But let’s assume there is life: as Melanie said, they don’t know if these other worlds will be doomed. Maybe the life forms are much more clever or even stronger than the Fears. Maybe they’re already dealing with other Fears and the arrival of these Fears might put the monsters against each other, in a fight that might kill them both.
So the “I don’t want to make others suffer” point is a bit weak, Jon. Not just because you don’t know if these supposed “others” are suffering, will suffer or even if they actually exist. But what if they are already suffering? And what if the arrival of the Fears represents an improvement?
Again, we don’t know how life evolved in another universe: maybe there’s one where life requires some Fears eating it.
EXACTLY.
And since they do not know the origin of the Fears, who knows? Maybe it’s just like Georgie said: they’re “just another link in a long chain of these things spreading from one dimension to the other, growing at the edges, manifesting, and then escaping to somewhere new”.
So, according to Jon, killing the entirety of humanity in his universe = good, but sending the Fears away and saving it = bad? The life that may or may not exist in other universes is more important than the life that surely exists in his universe?
I thought you wanted to save the world, Jon, not doom it.
Jon really needs to stop being spoon-fed knowledge from The Eye and use his brain to think.
But I’m not really blaming him: of course he doesn’t think straight. He cannot do it, because deep down, what bothers him is not the lives of other universes: it’s guilt.
Jon’s entire life was exploited by the Fears. And yet, he doesn’t see himself as a victim, but as the perpetrator of the apocalypse - therefore, the one who should pay for everything. He doesn’t even think about taking his life back: he was wrong, so he has to pay and he’s ready to put his life on the line to do so.
And that, of course, bothers Martin because of course he doesn’t want to lose him. As he says, if the lives that may or may not exist in other universes are important, then so it’s Jon’s. And yet, Jon is ready to throw it away like nothing.
And, again, I get it. Dying is a much easier solution, compared to staying alive and dealing with the consequences and the guilt for what he did. At this point, Jon might even feel survivor’s guilt, as if being able to finally live his life was a “reward” he didn’t deserve. Paying with his life and finally dying would be much more acceptable for him: he did many wrong things, hence he deserves to suffer even more, until he’s finally able to rest.
Considering all of this, I am afraid he won’t follow The Web’s plan at all. He will definitely do some stupid shit and get killed somehow. I don’t know how, considering Martin will be with him and do anything to prevent him from doing something stupid, but I know he will. I am 100% sure he will.
Oh, Jon, some things never change: you keep worrying me until the end.
_______________________________
MAG 200 - Last Words
GODDAMMIT JON WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THINGS YOUR WAY.
I UNDERSTAND YOU, BUT STILL.
So, Jon doesn’t just want to sacrifice himself: he wants to doom the world first, then die and leave the Fears to rot.
Listen, I get the satisfaction of killing those bitches, but:
weren’t you supposed to save the world?
weren’t you supposed to be with Martin?
why don’t you care about your own life at all? Stop trying to sacrifice yourself!
And what’s Jonah’s reaction to this? Still being a petty bitch, now and forever.
I love this man so much.
That’s the coolest statement, hands down. And it gives me some thoughts:
In some previous statements, Jon said The Eye doesn’t know its own origin. So, how can Jon finally know it? I suppose it’s because he’s the Archivist, he has been touched by all Fears, hence, when he becomes god, he can access all of their knowledge at the same time and even Know something like this.
This statement confirms that the Fears are born in this universe from some life forms, but at the end of the day, it was mostly thanks to humans that they grew. Bla bla mankind being the maker of their own demise bla bla.
Considering the parasitic relationship the Fears developed with humanity, I’m starting to wonder if they’re able to survive, once they’re on the other side of the abyss. Can they still thrive, without their original host? Can they still adapt to a new one? They’re resilient bitches after all but… who knows?
So Jon does things his way, but his plan goes to shit for one single mistake: his lighter is in Georgie’s hands, the Archives are destroyed and he’s now the last thing that links the Fears to his reality.
And yet, he’s still ready to keep going with his plan. He still doesn’t want to get rid of the Fears. He just wants to “hold on” and suffer like hell, just to not get them out. As he says to Martin: “I can’t let them out. Not again.”.
This man is so goddamn consumed by guilt, he’s ready to do anything, to not repeat his mistake. And I love and hate him and he’s so frustrating and perfectly understandable.
It’s very telling that what turns him away from his plan is not a sudden desire to live, the pull of he abyss or whatever: it’s just Martin. Martin, who has been the wild card from the start. Martin, who is the strongest character of this series, the most insane and the kindest. Martin, who thinks so little of himself. This guy is the reason why the world is saved. He loved Jon right from the start, waiting for him, until Jon learned to love him back. And that feeling is strong enough to oppose his sense of guilt.
I’m going to melt in a puddle.
Now, if Martin’s stab doesn’t magically bring both him and Jon alive and well in a new universe where they can spend their life happily married away from all shit, I will riot.
*looks at The Magnus Protocol*
Oh, that’s a marvelous sign, my dear. Truly, truly marvelous.
I place my bets on "They’ll be back in less than 10 chapters”.
Wait… are you telling me people remembered everything that happened during the apocalypse, avatars included, and lynched Simon Fairchild?
My man died just like he lived: in the most chaotically insane way.
But hey, does that mean people lynched all other avatars? Callum Brodie included? Gosh, I hope the kid just got something like, idk, detention for 50 years.
And what about that Jordan guy? The one Jon turned into an avatar? If he died too, I’ll admit it would be kinda funny: he suffered as a victim, he suffered as an avatar and, in the end, he suffers again because of people. Poor guy, he deserves some happiness.
But also: they say nothing about Annabelle Cane. Did she survive? She was close to the abyss, maybe she escaped too? And now she’s in another universe with Jon and Martin?
Now I need an AU with her, Jon, Martin and Oliver Banks being all alive and well because two are our heroes, while the other two are the avatars of the only two clever Fears.
Gosh, I can’t wait to start The Magnus Protocol.
And in the end, we get the most wonderful news: cats and owners are reunited once again. Once again, cats have been the catalyst to save the world. And now that the Fears are gone, they can finally take back their role as supreme rulers of the world.
After all, there has always been only room for one ruler, in this world.
I LOVE this ending. Think about it: Basira is talking to the last remnant of something that doesn’t exist anymore, and her words are directed to a life form that may or may not exist, in a universe who knows how distant from hers. And what she says is not an explanation, nor a plan for those who will deal with the Fears: it’s an apology for the horror they passed to them and the wish they would be able to deal with said horrors better than they did.
In a way, these words are a defeat. Humanity has not been able to personally deal with the Fears and had to get rid of them in order to survive. It reconfirmed what the story told us from the start: the Fears are an unstoppable force of nature and entropy, an enemy impossible to defeat. Even Jon, with all his godlike powers, had no way to physically harm that: all he could do was simply kill everyone, himself included, and wait for the Fears to die by starvation.
I am even more curious to know what will happen in The Magnus Protocol.
_______________________________
In conclusion
I am satisfied.
I knew Jon was going to die because he was putting his whole self into it. But this… oh, this screams “season 2” SO. MUCH.
And since I know there is a season 2 of some kind, I am a lot more curious to start it. Also because, at this point, I believe Protocol will take place in another universe, maybe the one where the Fears ended up. And that means the story is not over! My boys will come back! We will meet again... on a sunny day, why not? After all, it's only fitting to end with another GF reference.
And even if my boys don’t come back and Protocol is a completely different story, I still like this ending. I love when stories end with a mysterious note, a thread that is left open to people’s imagination.
(However, I also remember Jon saying, in season one, that he didn’t want to become another mystery, so even though I like this ending, he would’ve probably hated it. And that’s why, at the end of the day, I suppose the option “he will come back in Protocol” is more plausible.)
But for now, this story is over and I enjoyed every second of it. TMA has been a wonderful journey: I started it with zero expectations, then they grew along with my interest. I’ve been intrigued, surprised, shocked, worried. I was wary of Mr. Sims, but the more the story progressed, the more he proved to me how clear his vision was and how he had a plan to follow until the end.
And so he did, and he wonderfully wrapped all threads. Heck, even something small, like the end of Simon Fairchild: I was almost resigned to never knowing what happened to him, but nope, Mr. Sims closed his storyline too. And if he cared about something this little, then the care and attention are much stronger with something as convoluted as The Web’s plan that, with its turns and pieces, left nothing to chance.
I also found the same care in the characters that made this world. The Fears are probably one of the most interesting entity I’ve seen and the information about them has been perfectly distributed along the seasons. We learned more about them little by little, and can we take a moment to remember how wonderful season four’s ending was, when we learned they were all parts of a whole? Uuurgh, my brain still remember how wonderfully satisfying it was that reveal <3
The human was also immensely interesting. Some characters were forgettable, others were fun, others became my sons, others got my heart in a tight grip. Simon Fairchild and his insanity, my boy Gerry, my other boy Tim, Daisy and Basira, my gurl Helen, my esteemed bitch Elias/Jonah, Peter Lukas, Gertrude: each of them had something that will stick with me for a very long time.
Last but not least, our protagonists: Martin and Jon, both tragically human, both wonderfully complex, both walking issues in need of therapy, both faulty, both amazing. They made me laugh, they worried me, they turned me into an emotional mess. And I love that, because that means I’m dealing with characters, not flat cardboards. They are never perfect and that’s what makes them so good and so captivating.
I’ve heard a lot of stories about how good TMA was and now, I can proudly say that those stories were true: TMA is truly a great series. It’s written by someone who knows what he’s doing, the plot evolves organically, the characters evolve too. And the voice actors are in-cre-di-ble.
It has been a pleasure to read/listen to this story and I had a lot of fun doing it. That’s why I hope you all enjoyed your time too. Maybe you already knew it and had fun reading my 200 wrong theories and the 200 correct ones. Or maybe you read it with me and screamed, yelled and became a mess with me. In that case, I hope I was a nice company.
And now? Well, now it’s time for me to see what the fandom made, to snoop around, learn about the memes, watch 200 animatics, enjoy some fanfictions and probably reblog a lot of stuff. I’ve blacklisted TMA for a long time, fearing any kind of spoiler: it’s finally time for me to read everything.
Well, almost everything.
The Magnus Protocol, I will soon come for you.
(How about a coffee? ☕)

Jelly Bracelets Masterlist - Simon "Ghost" Riley
This has not been proofread. Please enjoy, though.

Orange - wearer is willing to kiss
You are old friend of Simon's, who he always visits when he is comes back home on leave. During one of your visits, he notices the new bracelets you won during a hen night. Knowing what the colours were always rumoured to mean, Simon snaps one, wondering what you will do. You decide the play along, due to your long-time crush you have on him.
I went back to my flat that night to do a bit of research.
I knew what most of the colours meant, but just had to double check the few I did not know.
When I could see what the colours blue, black and glittery blue meant, I could feel myself twitch in my boxers.
Hoping that she would be willing to do those with me.
I held up the yellow jelly bracelet in my hand, examining it, wondering what I should do with it.
I looked over at my keys, and before I knew what I really was doing, I tied it around the keyring, so I will have it with me wherever I go.
I didn't see her the next few days as she had work, but she and I would randomly text, just like how we always did when I was back home, but I knew my time at home was almost up, and before just like I knew, I got the call from John.
"Got another one Simon. Tomorrow, 0500. You know where to meet." I sighed as I heard the dial tone.
I called her up and left a voicemail. "Gotta leave tomorrow love. You know the drill, Northern Soul, after you done work."
I knew she would be there. I never had to worry about her not being there.
When it was her break time, I looked at my phone and she gave me a thumbs up emoji.
I had a few hours to kill, so I took a nap and then got ready for my night with her.
◆
She called me to say she was running a bit late, and to order for her. I already knew her order, so I ordered it along side mine
"Sorry I am late Si. My boss was hounding me." I gave a grunt when she mentioned her boss. Who looks at her a bit to long.
Always complimenting her, but doesn't for his other employees.
The few times I picked her up for her job, I have seen the man literally close his eyes as she walks by and sniff the air.
I wanted nothing more than to grab him by his neck and squeeze until his head popped off, but I held myself back when I heard her say my name.
"It's alright love." I told her as she sat across from me.
"You always know what I like. I never have to worry about you ordering the wrong thing." She complimented as her food was placed in front of her.
I felt a bit of pride swell in my chest, but then again, I knew everything about her.
◆
"Lord, I am full. I shouldn't have had that milkshake." She playfully groaned as she rubbed her stomach as the two of us walked to my place, which we were not far from.
She takes the bus to and from work, seeing no need to take her car.
"You deserve that milkshake." I said to her, as the two of us walked in a leisurely pace.
"Do you know when you will be back?" She asked me, forcing me to stop mid-step, to turn and look at her.
"No, I don't know when I will be back." She knows this, but yet she asked, shocking me for a second, as this is the first time she is asking me.
"I just had a plus one to Nicole's wedding, and wanted you to come with me." I knew Nicole, and she is alright. So is her future husband, Joey.
I asked when the wedding was, and she told me. Still a few months away.
I grabbed her hands and held them between mine, running my thumb across her knuckles.
"I will try to be there." I promised her.
"That is all I ask." She smiled at me, and I gave her a soft smile back.
We didn't move as we looked at one another, forcing the people to walk around us.
I could hear them grumbling and muttering about the two of us being rude, but I wasn't moving.
"Simon, you didn't." She said as took a step back from me, holding up her arm to see which one I snapped.
I held up the orange one, making her rule her eyes as me.
"Come on love, this one isn't so bad."
It really isn't. It is one of the safer ones.
"I don't know what that one means, Si."
"Wearer is willing to kiss."
"Anywhere?" She quickly asked, and all I did was nod my head yes.
She wrapped her arms around my neck, gently pulling my face towards hers, and I wrapped my arms around her waist.
I was ready for what was about to happen, but then, she switched it up on me.
She moved her head just to the right and kissed the corner of my mouth, along a small scar I have there.
"Let's get going. You have an early morning tomorrow." She said to me as she stepped out of my arms.
"Drive me?" I asked her, knowing she has tomorrow off.
"Anything for you, Simon."

any yandere velvet x fem reader headcanons or oneshots? :3
I got you >:)
Yandere!Velvet x Fem!reader headcanons/one shot
tw! NSFW, cursing, possessiveness, stalking, mentions of death, blood, knifes.
The first time Velvet ever saw you was at a party or an event, at first she wasn't as obsessed, it wasn't until you came up to her and asked her if she wanted to dance, thats when it started.
After that night she started stalking you, since she's so famous and has access to basically anything, it was easy to find you.
So easy to put cameras in your room, all over your house, she was fully aware of how wrong it was, it didn't affect her at all.
She would go into your house at random times, when you were there or not, spraying her perfume on your clothes to get you used to her scent.
After maybe a month or two of stalking she "coincidentally" met you again in a coffee shop.
She got your number and asked if you needed a job, you probably had a job so you declined. So, she offered to double your salary, and with that became Velvet and Veneer's assistant, replacing crimp.
When you start working their, Velvet is definitely rude, always making fun of you and picking you apart, trying to make you feel like you aren't special and that no one likes you.
Veneer would try to be nice to you, but Velvet would but in, telling him to shut up, and, "Stop being so nice to the new assistant, they work for us after all."
At this point your only staying working for them for the money, and once you're almost completely mentally broken down, thats when Velvet makes her move on you.
She'd find you in your room crying after she had yelled at you or something, and completely switch up.
"Oh you poor thing~ was I a bit to harsh? Baby I'm so sorry~" She would say in a fake apologetic voice, cupping you face with her hands wiping your tears away. Hugging you and comforting you. Toying so easily with your emotions, you knew what she was doing but you couldn't stop getting attached to her.
After she comforts you and you stop crying, she'll finally kiss you, passionately and full of lust but just as you give in she pulls away and leaves the room.
After that night she isn't openly as mean to you, but she will say things that don't necessarily sound like insults, but they are.
She is closer to you know, randomly pulling you into empty rooms, and making out with you for a minute or two then leaving.
It goes on for a week or two before one night your in your room, about to sleep and she walks in, going towards your bed and getting on top of you, kissing you.
Your so absorbed in the kiss you didn't realize she brought a knife in the room with her, she she starts stripping your clothes off, you don't even try to argue both because you wanted this and because she wouldn't stop no matter what.
Once all your clothes are off she starts leaving hickeys all over your body, your neck, collarbone, chest, telling you after each one, "You mine now, aren't you." Making you answer yes each time, until she gets to your thigh.
Thats when you notice the knife after she starts carving her name into your thigh.
Obviously you yelp, crying in pain, begging her to stop as she is holding you down.
"It's okay baby, I'm almost done, red looks so pretty on you..." She coos, finishing carving her name and licking the blood off your thigh, you were embarrassed to say it turned you on.
She wiped your tears once again, find gauze or something for the cut. Then as a "reward" for being a good girl, she eats you out, over and over until you physically can't anymore, she stops, gives you a kiss on your forehead and lets you fall asleep on her chest.
Most nights go like that, if she gets jealous or sees you talking to someone she probably hires a hitman or something. She would even kill Veneer if you got to attached to him, she gets jealous of everyone.
And god save you if she finds out you have a partner or if you cheat on her, she would kill them in front of you, make you watch as the life slips out of their eyes, handcuffing you to a wall in an empty room, making you stay the night with your partners lifeless body, teaching you a lesson.
If it came down to it, she would kill you if you deny her, she believes that if she can't have you, no one can.
Velvet would say to you, "I'm the only one who could ever love someone like you." She makes you feel like shit, makes you so dependent on her that you are blind to the abuse and over obsessiveness.
But at the same time, she can tell when your about to break, and each time, right before you do, she builds up your confidence, just so you stay sane.
"Let me see that pretty smile of yours baby~" "Nothing could or would ever come between us, you're mine."

What do you think is going to happen in season 5?
Not with the revenge and Sarah being pregnant. But the other things in season 5?
so my super unsatisfying but true answer is: i have no idea. and that’s a good thing!
the obx team has done an incredible job at strictly defining the context, stakes, and events of the individual seasons. while previous adventures come up in passing, s2 has nothing to do with the royal merchant gold. s3 has nothing to do with the cross of santo domingo. and s4 had nothing to do with the city of el dorado. thus, i think it’s reasonable to assume s5 will have little to nothing to do with the blue crown!
i anticipate it’ll be a fresh storyline with new goals than anything we’ve seen before. groff is in europe and they’ll definitely be on his trail, making it the fourth continent the gang has seen. i’m actually already excited for the BTS shots of wherever they film 😭
now…. what do i want to happen… ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
it’s kie’s season baby. i think she’s really gonna take charge of the group, and i totally believe that platonic or not, she and rafe are gonna kick some ass this season. groff’s or not
i hope they wrap up her parents’ storyline; i know people were annoyed that they were dropped so randomly but like.. she’s an adult. she moved out. their screen time was getting tedious as fuck. we just need one big hug scene to get it over with lol
i do, genuinely, get on my hands and knees and pray to Christ that rafael and kiara get their arc. just look at my masterlist. their chemistry has been developing since s1 (seemingly even before then…) and they can only blueballs me for so long :/
i think pope is going to get “worse” in the sense that his moral compass will start to weaken if it means protecting cleo. he’s already killed someone. i’d like to see what else he’d do for her 😻
beat me with chains if you must but i hope the baby is plotted away. i know, i’m an awful woman, but it would be a real drag on the season unless sarah stepped out the entire time or it was an implausibly invincible fetus. and i don’t want anything violent to happen to her, but shows love to introduce a pregnancy for drama purposes and then abandon the plotline with a “oh it was a false positive” or “oh this character got into a car accident and was in a coma for some time and lost the baby here’s a time skip” (?? looking at you, gossip girl)
and finally i hope they fix topper. he’s not getting back with sarah or anything, john barah is clearly endgame, but he’s depicted on multiple occasions as having a secret heart of gold but falling victim to a bad crowd. cmon, don’t breadcrumb us like that with austin north and leave us hanging!? get him some new friends and his sweet demeanor again!
thank you for your question i would LOVEEEE to hear what you guys wanna see in s5 🤩🤩🤩

No spoilers past the current ep if possible folks! I’m going in blind!
3x07 – Athena Begins thoughts
Yay! Another Begins eps!! I do love these and finding out what the crew were like prior to joining the 118 – or police in Athena’s case.
Athena’s interrogation of May’s boyfriend(?) was hilarious! Forget overprotective fathers, those boys are gonna have to go through mama bear first!
OK… Athena had a fiancé that no one knew about? Colour me surprised!
Athena wanted to be a lawyer? I can’t remember if this was already mentioned but I do remember the lost little girl from her hometown, which was mentioned again. I thought it might actually have connected to Emmett but nope. Her history with her colleague Rick goes back longer than I thought though! He was Emmett’s partner? OK.
“Don’t be dead and don’t dent my cars?” Seriously? That’s the best advice you can offer the rookies?
Rookie Athena was actually adorable. And just as fierce. I loved watching her and Emmett’s relationship develop. It was a well done speedrun of their history, but it also didn’t leave me going what if. I liked Emmett but I am absolutely happier she’s with Bobby.
Michael’s disgruntlement she kept a secret when him and Bobby told them hers, was a little amusing and a nice reprieve from the heaviness of the rest of the ep.
Also Bobby called Athena’s mom?! Ooh he had to call in the big guns. Is Emmett’s death the cause of some of this friction between Athena and her mom? That’s so sad how it all broke apart.
I was stunned when the reveal came that Emmett was killed randomly? I thought he was on the job at the time but no! Ugh. Life isn’t fair sometimes, is it? That was just a freak event. There was no logic or meaning to killing Emmett other than panic and drugs.
I really liked the little flash back and forwards between rookie Athena and current day Athena. It was so emotional watching her walk up to Emmett’s mom both times to give her the news of his death and the arrest.
I’m glad they did find the killer.
Gosh that final scene where Athena finally cried nearly made me cry!
What an emotional episode!
Ooh I can’t wait to see who gets the next Begins ep?! We had 3 of these last season and now Athena is done, I’m guessing that only leaves Buck and Eddie? (I’m not convinced Maddie needs one).

I heard that you know things about Cadence of Hyrule. Please yap about it for me. I need to know the plot and everything for research. Thank u :]
Ah, I love my job
CADENCE OF HYRULE !!!!!!!! I LOVE this game
PLOT/GAMEPLAY (contains spoilers)
Edit: Why did I lowkey make a whole guide
So, it starts off with Cadence, who's from the Necrodancer games. It has a little cutscene, where we get to see that Octavo, the villain, put the king, Zelda, and Link to sleep.
Cadence falls out of the sky into a strange little clearing, where she meets Trill, a fairy who's very accepting of Cadence's situation. She goes into a building, where Trill explains that everyone has to move to the beat of the music. (When all enemies on the tile die, the music stops/gets quieter)
They find a weird little cloud room where Trill comments that her friends are inside portals. Now, this is where you get a choice, you can either wake up (and therefore play as) Link or Zelda. It doesn't change much if you pick one over the other.
I typically play as Zelda, and that's the route my Cadence of Hyrule Link (Lute) has. If you choose Zelda, she wakes up using the power of the Triforce. Cadence then leaves. Impa is in her room, and Impa explains that she can't fight while the beat is like that.
Zelda escapes Hyrule castle, but she has to fight a guard with her dagger. Hyrule Castle is always in the direct 4 middle tiles on the map.
(There's also a Deku Scrub in the Hyrule Castle hallway too? For some reason? Aggressive, not friendly)
(If you choose Link, he wake up at his house. His house is always on the second to bottom row, the one below it is always a beach I believe.)
Trill tells you that Octavo has sealed off the castle, and there's 4 champions scattered along the lands you have to defeat
It's very much an open world game. The tiles randomly generate, changing where everything is (unless you use a seed)
So, after this, you have a couple options.
Go to Kakariko Village, where Dampe tells you that someone was found at the edge of the village, asleep. They're currently in the house, and they're the other one you didn't choose, so in most of my playthroughs its Link. You can push a grave in the graveyard, where you get to a crypt. You fight through the crypt to get to the boss room, where the Shadow version of the asleep person is. When you defeat them, you get a Hibiscus potion, which wakes up the sleeping beauty.
Go to Lake Hylia. There, you find that there's a frozen island in the lake. Next to the island, on the land, there's a cave, and when you go in, you find that the Prince of the River Zora is asleep, and there's a bunch of ghosts. If you talk to them, most will have the dialogue "...", but one tells you that, quote, "The Prince belongs to us now. Don't worry, we'll keep him safe! Wwee hee hee!". If you bomb that ghost, a wraith will appear and all the other ghosts will disappear. When you kill the wraith, the Prince will wake up and thank you, giving you flippers, which let you swim to get to the Frozen Grotto, a dungeon. When you do the dungeon and find the boss key, you go to a room where Octavo appears, where Octavo tells you to chill or something, I can't remember what exactly he says. He gets an Oboe, filling it with magic thanks to the Golden Lute. Then, you fight the Wizzroboe, an absolutely ADORABLE boss who controls ice
3. Go to Gerudo Village. There, you find that a woman named Barriara, the leader of the village, is cursed to be asleep, and you play a jaunty little tune using these giant notes (Gerudo Valley btw) to wake her up, where she tells you that Octavo put her asleep. She asks you to stop the mischief in the ruins. If you go into the house she guards, you meet the young Prince Ganondorf, who speaks of a power in music. When you check out the ruins, you find that there's a woman who'll lower the bridge if you give her 3 gears, which you can find around. I have never done that and instead I get the goron necklace from the bomb merchant, which, in combination with the flippers, allows you to swim in lava (one of my fave things in the game). Here, you have to fight the Bass Guitarmos Knights and its backup dancers, which controls fire
4. Go to Death Mountain, where you find the Temple of Storms. But, before you can get there, you have to visit the Kakariko Windmill Hut, where you have to wake up the couple who works there, who gives you the 'down thrust', which allows you to step on the heads and kill the enemies below you. Then, you go to the Temple of Storms, where you find the Gleeokenspiel, my ult fave, who controls lightning
5. Go to the Lost Woods, where you have to pay attention to the colors of the monsters and go through certain paths, then defeat a lynel to get into the tube to the final dungeon, the Lost Swamp, where you defeat the Gohmaracas. I love this little guy so much.
Then, after you've defeated all 4, you defeat Octavo, who gets upset and brings everyone into the future, where he gets defeated trying to defeat Ganon, whom you then have to fight. Using the Triforce, Link and Zelda send Cadence back to her world. Also, Cadence is implied to hold the Triforce of Power
Then, there's the extra Octavo's Ode, where you get to see that the motivation for Octavo is like, really sad?? He knew that something bad was going to happen to Hyrule, and frankly thats obvious because Hyrule is in disrepair, its ruined, its frankly messed up, so he stole the strings of fate from the Fates, a bunch of old implied to be Sheikah women, to try to stop whatever disaster was going to get them. In Octavo's Ode, he wakes up with no memory of what happened, and tries to undo the damage he did. The taunts from the Fates imply that Octavo has like, full amnesia, doesn't remember who he is.
Some notes!!
There's a couple different weapon types, the dagger (Cadence and Zelda only), Short Sword (Link only), the Broadsword, the Spear, the Flail, the Greatshovel (Cadence only), the Long Sword (Link only), and the Rapier (Zelda only)
Each weapon has 5 upgrades, plus 1 special version. The upgrades are titanium (plus one damage), ruby (gives hearts the more you kill), emerald (poisons enemies), obsidian (adds to damage depending on how long you've gone without missing the beat/getting hit), and glass (plus one damage but breaks upon getting hit)
They can be upgraded by the Great Fairy, but it takes diamonds, something you get for defeating all monsters on a tile.
The special weapons are as follows:
Jeweled Dagger, "As dangerous as it is beautiful, this dagger surprises anyone who would stand in your way."
Kokiri Sword, "Said to be intended for a future hero, this weapon was meant to banish anything in Link's path."
Fragarach, "A sword of legend, Fragarach is said to have an unstoppable edge, capable of cutting through anything in its path."
Impa's Naginata, "Crafted for Impa, the great Sheikah warrior, this versatile weapon strikes fear in the hearts of many dark creatures throughout Hyrule."
Hylian Flail, "Brutal and effective, this weapon is used by only the boldest Hylian heroes."
Eli's Greatshovel, "A legendary warrior named Eli once owned this shovel. Perfect for an enterprising gravedigger."
Caladbolg (my beloved), "This sword is fabled to be the finest long sword in an ancient realm."
Royal Rapier, "Passed down by the royal family of Hyrule for generations, it grants heroic strength in times of need to those of noble lineage."
If you have any questions, please ask!!! I thrive on giving knowledge about Cadence of Hyrule
#asks#cadence of hyrule#holy YAP oh my god#I started this at 7:46 and its now 9:07#legend of zelda#anyways. Caladbolg is literally rainbow and I love it

You and a couple of other blogs I follow all tried to keep up with the show while Ryan was gone. All of you say John's introduction was really weird. What felt so odd about it to all of you? If you don't mind me asking?
Well...it was an incredibly convoluted intro for one. Two, the way he acted then really doesn't fit as well with the hero complex idea and his need to be praised and looked up to etc. And three, the beginning of his relationship with Aaron was so poorly done.
So Aaron matches with him on a dating app. He just put up a picture of his torso. They're supposed to meet at a hotel. Aaron for some reason can't find his car keys and gets Mack to lend him Eric's car, which was at the garage, so he can make it to his hook up. He gets stopped on the side of the road by John who's having trouble with his murder van. They figure out that they were supposed to be meeting each other. Aaron fixes the van. They hook up in the back of it. Aaron wants to go for round two but gets out to pee first. And then John randomly drives off with his stuff, wallet and Eric's car keys. So now he's stranded.
There doesn't seem to be any reason John would just ditch him and take his stuff. Even if he wanted to play hero and bring it back, he still agreed to round two and then drove off. It's weird.
But all that so they could volunteer Vic to drive Eric to Barbara's funeral the next day so that she could bump into John and discover she had a long lost brother.
And then he brushed her off and said he wasn't interested.
But then he shows up at the garage cause his murder van needs fixing again just so Vic can announce that oh, this is my long lost brother and this is Aaron, he used to be married to Robert.
And then she randomly offers him a place to stay while his van's being fixed. Aaron seemingly doesn't want anything to do with John because of the Robert connection. He can't go back there. He even accuses John of setting this up to mess with him over Robert. Then he shoves him and John sucker punches him in the stomach.
He's super weird with everyone and really just wants to leave. He doesn't want anything to do with Vic, even less to do with Sarah who remembered she was a Sugden for five seconds to try and connect with him only for him to be a dick to her. He doesn't seem to want Aaron but he keeps insinuating that Aaron wants him and is a little creepy about it. Think Nate and Moira's terrible affair.
He gets a job on the farm from Cain because Mack and Aaron roll his murder van into a lake and then it's going to take longer to fix. But he again, keeps insisting that once the van is ready he's gone and he keeps pestering Mack about it.
He and Aaron only hook up again because Aaron goes to confront him in a barn after Mack thinks John set a bull on him. And John is all "you know you want me" and then attacks him with his lips. It's awkward. Also Vic walks in and finds them.
And then suddenly they're sleeping together on the regular but keeping it a secret because Vic doesn't want them dating because she thinks Aaron is too messy and John will leave her and Mack just doesn't like John and thinks Aaron can do better.
But all of that and John still just really wants to leave. And then the barn fire happens, at the same time he's killing Nate, and he gets to play hero there and then all of a sudden Aaron's asking him to stay and he's agreeing and now we move into phase two and we have hero John.
Oh and at some point Vic goes snooping in the murder van and finds Aiden's dog tags and asks John about it and John lies and says it was just a friend from the army he couldn't save and he's dead.
But I don't know, the convoluted way they brought him in just seems so unnecessary. I still can't fathom why he took Aaron's stuff and drove off. I can't reconcile this guy that wants people to look up to him and praise him also showing up as this loner weirdo who just wants to leave and live in his van like a hermit.
Like I guess maybe he was punishing himself for what happened with Aiden and the barn fire unlocked a new way to start being everyone's hero and then he felt like he could stay cause everyone was telling him how great he was? There could be a story there but they really haven't connected the dots for us and so it's just really strange to go from loner weirdo who's an asshole to everyone and just wants to leave to being what he is now.
There's a disconnect.

I Want You | ELIJAH HEWSON

PAIRING : elijah hewson x original f!character
GENRE: fluff, friends to lovers
SUMMARY: dahlia jenkinson, josh’s sister is asked to fill in as photographer at his bad’s concert. her plan is to ask him out by the end of the show as she’s been crushing on him for ever. what she doesn’t expect is that one of their songs was written about her—and she’s right there when he confesses it.
WORDS: 5.6k
WARNINGS: smoking, drinking, kissing
Friday. Underground. London.
I run through the station passing the endless people, posters and children's screams. My brother, Josh, had asked me yesterday to help out at his band's concert. He'd told me that their photographer had gotten COVID so he needed someone to fill in.
I dragged my roommate along with me as my moral support, seeing as she's heard me spill every secret in my mind about the band's lead singer, Elijah. I've been helping Josh with his band's endeavours for years and have also had to condone countless sleepovers. I've had the sound of drumsticks crashing together engrained in my head by this point. Robyn has always told me to 'stop being a pussy and ask Eli out on a date' but honestly, I'm terrified I'll ruin everything. This photography thing has really helped to get me new jobs and more exposure.
"So, you still crushing on Eli?" Robyn asks. She's been glancing over at my phone for the past few minutes. I've been texting the band group chat that I've been added to. They usually kick me out randomly. This is the longest period of time I've been in it without having an argument. I'm pretty proud.
"Shut up." I scoff. "If you dare say anything to any of of them, I will kill you."
"I wouldn't," she laughs. I give her a look. "I'll try not to..."
"You and your big mouth."
"I can't help it."
"I shouldn't tell you things."
"Who else would you tell?" She grabs at my phone, noticing a message from Elijah pop up.
It reads: "Missed you. You've always been the better Jenkinson." I try to contain my smile at the stupid message. It's just a couple words beneath a name on a screen and I'm getting all nervous. It's pathetic. God, this is getting bad.
"That's cute," Robyn says and is about to start writing a message back until I snatch my phone back. Who knows what kind of bullshit she'd start sending. She'd surely send some terrible pictures of me. That's happened on many ocassions. I've learnt my lesson to never trust her with my phone.
"Cringe." I type back, although the smile on my face is betraying the words on the screen. I stare at his profile picture for a few seconds. It's a selfie of me and the band. I look half asleep, probably drunk. Eli's hair is all over his face and Josh is squeezing Ryan's cheeks. Bobby is just angrily staring at the camera. He definitely didn't want to be in that photo. It's sweet that Eli has kept his profile picture that way for so long. We haven't seen each other in months. I send another message, "Well you're not my favourite Hewson."
He sends an angry emoji. "Who is then?"
"Bono, course."
He sends a few more angry emojis before spamming the group chat. There is already some kind of argument happening. Robert seems to be late and they're all asking where he is. I switch my phone off, sliding it into my pocket. Robyn's been unusually quiet.
"What have you done this time?" I ask with a subtle tilt of my head. She's chewing on some haribos she'd bought moments ago. She then smirks to herself, "Nothing."
I'm a little worried but decide to brush it off. We leave the train station and I'm struck by the freezing air. I sometimes forget how cold England is. Having moved from Ireland over a year ago, I feel like I should've acclimatised. But, why is it always so cold? I hold my jacket closer to myself to try to warm up.
We pass at least ten people with 'I love London' shirts. Sounds of street sellers are familiar along with the hustle and bustle of late London nights. I see the London Eye twisting in the distance. Big ben is tolling. The venue comes into view a few streets away. I'm dreading it slightly. I feel as if I'm not going to cope this time seeing that ever-so-familiar face. It's as if with each passing month, he gets better looking. It should be crime. I'll probably melt when I see him.
I instead focus on seeing Josh and my excitement for seeing the gig. They've all really improved over the years. They really know how to put on a good show. Adrenaline rushes through my veins. It'll be fine. Surely.
"You're nervous, aren't you?" Robyn takes notice of me fiddling with my earrings. It's become some nervous habit. I find a comfort in twiddling the crystals between my fingers.
"A bit," I say. Honest. "What if he finds out? We'll surely get piss-drunk. What if he only wants to be mates?"
"Lia, darling, you've got to stop overthinking it. After hearing all these stories you've told me, it sounds like he likes you a lot," she says, grinning. "I'll tell you if I see any looks passed or anything suspicious, okay?"
"You're the best." I give her a hug, forgetting for a moment about the crowded streets around us. Robyn hugs are always too good to be true. I sometimes forget how unbelievably short she is and how she tries to suffocate me with her arms.
Just as we're about to continue down the endless streets, I see someone running past us. I barely even realise he's passed me until Robyn points him out. I see long, curly hair and a massive case swung over his shoulder. Bobby. Then, he turns to face us. Blue eyes catch me off guard then a massive grin. He seems to question whether he should stop or get to the venue. He's very late.
"Is that the bassist?" Robyn wonders. "Robert?"
"That's me," he says, retracing his steps. His mullet has gone all messy in the autumn wind. He's trying to swipe away a few stray hairs from out of his face. "Hey Dally. Who's this?" He points towards my friend with a lazy smile.
"This is Robyn. My roommate. She's the one who accidentally stepped on a pigeon."
"Ah." He then turns into his bird lover mode. "How could you do that to a poor, helpless bird? How could you? Can't believe you're called Robyn. That's a disgrace. Wish I was called Robyn. Or sparrow. Or some kind of bird. God, do I love birds—"
"Okay, Robert. We get it," I interrupt with a finger in the air. He crosses his arms over his chest, pouting. Robyn is laughing at his angered demeanour. He always puts on this irritated-sarcastic face in moments like this. He looks like a child after stepping on lego.
"Aren't you late?" Robyn asks the blue-eyed boy. His phone has been pinging with notification throughout the few minutes they have been walking together. He seems to be a little stressed. I have to almost run to keep up with this speed of impossibly long legs.
We approach the venue. It's a huge, pretty rundown building which strikes out in stark contrast to the fancy buildings around it. The words 'Inhaler:tonight' are written on a chalkboard beside the entrance. The place really matches the band for some reason. There's a queue of fans outside. A lot of them are sat down on the pavement. They scream at the sight of the bassist, piling around him. Phones are being held up to take pictures of him.
"Sorry guys, I've got to get inside. Thank you for coming," Robert mumbles.
Robyn and I act as body guards, preventing anyone from getting too close. Banners have been dropped onto the ground, passersby glance over in confusion. There's colourful cowboy hats covered with jewels everywhere. That music video really drove the world crazy. It definitely drove me crazy. I probably make up at least half of the views.
The majority of the crowd continue to take photos. Some say 'Oh my God, that's Josh's sister!' I give them a smile whilst simultaneously pushing Robert forwards.
We finally get to the back door. The gathering give up after a while. They go back to the queue, attempting to slot in to their previous place.
"Well, doors haven't opened yet so you can't be that late," I remark. The front doors are still locked.
"I'm missing sound check though."
I hear music booming quietly through the walls. I open the door, pressing down on it with fingertips. It creaks open to a long corridor with white plastered walls. It smells of fresh paint. The light is barely even attached to the ceiling. It looks like some horror film scene. Creepy.
But then Josh comes around the corner. His guitar is slung over his chest and his face lights up to reveal a huge smile that I've always adored. He's taller than the last time I've seen him. He runs straight towards me, engulfing me with his arms. I'm uncomfortably pressed against his guitar but I couldn't care less. I'm so glad I came. I missed him so much.
Robert slides past us and Robyn awkwardly stands in the doorway. I introduce her to my brother. He gives her a hug as well. She seems to enjoy this whole situation a lot. She's getting all loud and giddy.
The rest of the band are still playing through songs. They're running through 'Dublin In Ecstasy'. Elijah's voice is echoing through the entire building, sliding it's way through my skull. There's a part of me that wants to turn back. I could just make my way back to my apartment, have a cup of coffee and stalk Twitter accounts of people who went to the show. I definitely haven't been doing that for the past few months. I'm not that insane. Or obsessed.
"Do you want to listen to sound check or hang out back stage?" Josh asks us. He's been talking to Robyn, getting to know her and she seems to like him, thankfully. It'd be downright awkward if she hated his guts.
"I'll follow you," Robyn says to Josh. She starts to traipse down the corridor. I watch her curls bounce from side to side as she jumps with every step. She suddenly realises that she's left me behind. "You coming?"
I groan, staring at the door. "Yeah. Fuck it."
I pick up my camera in preparation. I've been using the same one for years. It's got stickers all over it. Some of random bands, some from different countries and little letters spelling out my name. Elijah had bought me a few pages of letters of the alphabet as a birthday present when I turned 15. I still remember that day. We were all huddled inside my living room after being drenched by a sudden storm. There were about fifteen of us, including the band. The fireplace before us was the only source of light in the darkened room. I think I was dating Ryan at that point. That was a strange time. He was sweet. It only lasted a couple of weeks. Elijah had a girlfriend too. Younger me was very jealous. I think that's what made me realise I liked him.
Now, fast forward eight years and my heart is beating in my ears like I'm a teenager all over again.
I allow Robyn to go first. I trail behind. Josh has left us to our own devices and we try to figure out where exactly we're supposed to go. We decide to follow the sounds of music booming. Closer and closer. We go down a staircase, open a door then we're right at the stalls, just beneath the stage. The door crashes so loudly that all of the band stop playing. They all peer down at us.
The band name 'Inhaler' is upon the wall and coloured lights paint the stage. This room is a lot nicer than the exterior. There's a standing area then seats up along the top. The walls are painted a deep shade of crimson with gold lines intricately painted everywhere. It's too good to be true. It feels so weird being at one of their gigs again. It feels even weirder to see all of them in the same place at the same time.
I trace my gaze along the stage. I take a quick glance at Josh who is tuning his guitar, then Ryan who's staring at us with wide eyes. I shift my eyes a little further to see Elijah. He's dropped his mic at the sight of us. I take notice of the length of his hair. It's falling over his eyes, a mess of curls shrouding his face. He's wearing a white vest top and a bulky blazer which is holding onto his shoulders for dear life. I can't see him very well from here. What I can see is the complexity of his gaze. The way he's looking at me is making me nervous. I take a deep breath.
"Dahlia?!" Ryan calls out. He drops his drumsticks similarly to Elijah.
"Surprise?" I say. I thought Josh had told them I was coming. "Wait, did Josh not tell you?"
Elijah picks up the microphone from the ground, not taking his eyes away from mine. "Josh, you gobshite. I thought she was coming next week," he says into the mic, words jumping through my ears. I hate how warm his voice is through those speakers. It's sickening.
"Well, I'm not complaining." Ryan jumps down from the stage, giving me and Robyn a hug. It's a group hug where we're all squashed together. He's grinning from ear to ear.
"You're still short," I say. I can still look down on him, especially with my chunky boots. He rolls his eyes. "This is Robyn." I introduce my roommate to both Ryan and Elijah.
"Nice to meet you," Elijah murmurs as he jumps off the stage. He's left the mic on the stand. He's pushing his hair from his face.
Robyn gives me a look, raising an eyebrow in the direction of Elijah. She's got a malevolent smile. What's she going to do? Maybe I shouldn't have brought her.
"I've heard all about you." Robyn gives Elijah a little wink. I kick the back of her leg .
His lip raises the slightest bit. I find myself staring at his mouth for far too long. There's stubble lining his chin and a splatter of freckles on his cheeks. "Have you, now?" His low voice drifts through the air. He's maintaining eye contact with me. I'm trying to evade his gaze.
"She's exaggerating." I assure him, trying to stop myself from giving Robyn another thwack.
"Eli! We have like 5 minutes until door opens and Dublin In Ecstasy is a mess. Get up here. You can swoon later." Robert is already playing the introduction to the song. Ryan and Josh join in.
"Swoon?" Eli shakes his head with a grin.
"We're just that amazing," Robyn whispers to me.
I hold up my camera, taking a picture of the three lads on stage. Then I point it at Elijah. I take a few of his confused face before he leaves us to sing along to the music.
"He's whipped." Robyn watches as he climbs back onto the stage. "Likes you so much he can barely even function-" She points out how he can't even plug his guitar in. He's been trying to shove the lead in for a while but his eyes are wandering elsewhere. "You've got to say something to him. He's leaving tomorrow, isn't he? Maybe tonight.."
I breathe in. "Alright. I'll try."
Robyn and I hum along to the tune. Elijah's rough vocals make my mind go cloudy. He sounds so much crisper in person. I think back to the cuts and bruises vinyl on my shelf. Robyn had bought it the day it came out. Josh sent me every version possible. Robyn went on about supposedly being 'the first person in the world who bought it'. She said she saw the record in HMV and instantly thought of me. We had stayed up late that night to listen through each track. Eating popcorn, drinking alcohol, talking about random shit. That was when I told her everything about Elijah. From the schoolgirl crush, to the trying to forget him then to the full-blown infatuation. She enjoyed listening to every detail I had to offer.
Elijah continues singing. I'm holding my breath, my palms are sweaty, I feel my heart pulsing at my throat. Robyn is swaying to each beat of the drums. Elijah won't stop looking at me.
Then the song ends and we all tun backstage, in an attempt to evade the incoming fans. I hear shouts echoing in the distance. We've gathered in a little room backstage. Josh is showing me some fancy chocolates he bought in Rome. I'm taking pictures of the band members. Robyn keeps photobombing. I rest my head upon the armrest of the sofa, closing my eyes. It feels nice. Calm. Until, someone settles beside me. They grab my legs so that they can properly sit down. The hands are cold and fingertips are calloused. That someone is Elijah. "Excited for the show?"
He's got his pre-show drink in one hand and his phone in the other. I close my eyes once again.
I shift around in the soft cushion attempting to get into a more comfortable position. He scoffs and pulls my legs up by the ankles to rest them over his thighs. "I know you're tired," he says. He takes a sip of his drink. "But if you dare fall asleep during the show, I will throw my guitar at you." I move my legs around his thighs then actually raise my head to look at him. I take a picture as he makes a stupid face. I don't know how he can do that whilst still looking pretty.
"Is this comfortable?" I ask. He's been very still. "I can move if you want."
"It's nice... fine," he mumbles as he scrolls through messages on his phone. "Reminds of that music lesson. Must've been our first year of secondary school. You fainted after some practice test we did. We were sat in this exact position for at least an hour. I think my legs stopped working."
I try to bring my head back to the memory. He was so different back then. Shorter hair, insanely asthmatic. He only knew me as Josh's twin sister. Somehow that was enough for him to stay there with me and keep me safe. After that, he had some complex where had to look after me with his life. It was charming.
"I had to kick you about nine time because you feel asleep, " I recall. My mind is wandering through moments I can barely even remember. "You were so strange."
"I could've left you there in the practice asleep. You should be thanking me for saving you from embarassment-"
"Why, thank you. Oh how you've changed my entire life. I owe you all that I have."
He shakes his head, squeezing the skin at the bottom of my ankle. He then rests his hand there. As if it's normal. He's still reading through messages, biting the top of the plastic cup.
"When do you lot go on then?" I ask everyone.
Robyn has started drawing eyeliner onto the other boys. She just pulled it out of her pocket randomly and asked if they wanted her to do it. They've filed into a queue. She's done some graphic liner on Bobby with little stars that makes his bright eyes pop out all the more.
"Ten minutes." Ryan is putting some hair gel through his hair. He puts some music on using a bluetooth speaker they placed in the corner. Lover, You Should've Come Over by Jeff Buckley comes on. I'm trying to stop myself from falling asleep but it's getting harder with each passing second.
"I'm so excited," Robyn says as she does Josh's eyeliner. She's made his more smudgy and messy. It suits him a lot. "Elijah, should I do yours? Or Dahlia can do it?" She passes the tube towards me. There's some malicious intent behind her eyes. I narrow my eyes down to the black contraption, taking it uneasily between my fingers.
He lays down his phone and drink. He's trying to push all the hair out of his face to give me some access to his eyes. I kneel down on the sofa beside him. I grab a hair bobble from my wrist then tie the top half of his hair up. He groans as I pull some strands way too hard then relaxes into my touch. He smells like cigarette smoke and cologne.
"How should I do it?" I wonder out loud. I've opened the tube and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about this. He looks like his teenage self with his hair like this. His eyes are maintaining a hard eye contact as I near him. There's a warmth rising to my face.
Robyn pulls out her phone and shows me a picture of Rodrick Hefley. I snort. "Try it like that," she says.
Elijah closes his eyes as I begin to draw little lines then smudge. I've grabbed his chin to keep him in place. I can feel the sharp stubble poking at my fingers. He opens his eyes every now and then. They're half-lidded, watching. I poke his eye by accident. I scold him for opening his eyes. He decided to instead keep them closed.
I admire my work once I've done. It's not my best liner but it's alright. The other boys gather around to get a look at him. His hazel eyes come into view and he smiles widely at the sight of us all. "Does it look good?"
"Looks class," Ryan says as he grabs a mirror. The other boys nod along.
Elijah looks at himself. He seems to not know if he likes it or not. He smiles at me and says, "Thanks, love."
I just smile back, pulling out the bobble from his hair. An unruly splatter of curls cascade across his forehead. There's something about him wearing eyeliner that's stopping me from thinking straight. It's different. I'm still sat half on top of him, one knee resting on his thigh and the other on the sofa. He helps me off of him then stands up.
He ruffles his hair as he says, "Let's get going lads."
The four boys grab everything they need for the show. Water bottles, instruments, drumsticks, their sanity. They all give each other a group hug. It must be some pre-show ritual because they all down their drinks at the exact same time. If that wasn't planned, it was uncanny.
"Good luck." I wave them off and they travel down the corridor in a straight line. As each of them walk out, I take a picture. Elijah is the last to leave. He stops in the doorway, still holding his plastic cup. He raises his lip to reveal his white teeth as I take the picture. He really enjoys making the strangest faces.
"If you don't get our best angles, I'll have to think about firing you." Elijah warns me just before he turns around. He then disappears down to another asylum-like corridor before I can get a chance to insult him. I let out a breath.
"That went well, right?" Robyn's trying to figure out what's going through my head. I can't even comprehend anything that just happened. The feel of his hand still lingers at my ankle. "That whole time you were talking to Josh about those chocolates, he was staring you down. It was pretty creepy, to be honest." She laughs. "Don't even get me started on the eyeliner. All of us felt like total third wheels."
"Sorry," I say. I play around with the bobble at my wrist. It had been wrapped around those glorious curls only moments ago. "God, I'm so in love it hurts."
"That's how I felt when I started liking Emmy. Literally all I could think about was her." Robyn is in a daze, eyes glued to the wall. "You need to do something before it's too late."
"After the set, I will tell him." I finally accept my fate. I could possibly not see him until next year. Or the year after. Who knows how busy I could get?
"Good," Robyn says. "I'm tired of hearing Elijah this Elijah that. Girl, I get it."
"You had an Emmy this Emmy that phase. Don't even start."
She frustratedly sighs. "Come on. I think they're going on."
I hear the crashing of drums reverberating through every wall, every floorboard. Slowly, we approach the main room. The bodyguard lets us through to the wings of the stage. I can see all the crowd from this angle. There are phones, cowboy hats and banners littered through the crowd. Some of the audience are people we had seen when Bobby was surrounded. They're screaming at the sight of the band.
The first song they play is These Are The Days. I keep my camera handy through every song. Elijah takes notice of us standing there. He steals a glance at us when he has a chance to breath. He's singing a lot stronger than I'd ever seen online.
Then they play through a few more songs on the new album. I sing along, I dance, I try not to get blinded by the flashing lights. Then all of a sudden they've finished playing Love Will Get You There and he turns to look right at me.
"This next song..." His words are pretty slurred. He's drunk. "This is an old one. I wrote this when I was about 17. There was this girl at my school who I just liked so much— I couldn't even focus in class. I played it to her once we'd got it perfect and she had not a single clue that it was about her. She still doesn't. It's been six years and I've never told her." He pauses and looks at me. "This is for you."
I'm overwhelmed by emotion. I raise an eyebrow at him. He just starts strumming along with his guitar. That's when I realise he's playing I Want You. They'd played that song to me in Elijah's garage. I asked him who it was about. He lied and said it was about his ex-girlfriend. I never thought twice about it. I never listened to it because it made me sick to my stomach that it was about her. A girl who I had been so jealous of.
"You got your lipstick on..." He starts singing. He's literally pointing at me. The crowd looks confused. They can't see me.
"Oh, Jesus," Robyn exclaims. "Oh, wow. I can't believe this. He's fucking confessing! Dally, I'm so happy for you right now. What the hell!"
Robyn is just as shocked as I am. We're both slack-jawed, wide-eyed yet caught in a silence as the song goes on. The crowd sings along with each and every line. The other members of the band have caught on with what is happening. They all seem to be pretty proud. Especially Josh. He's smiling so big it's making me smile too.
The truth is, I don't want the song to end. Or the show. I just want this moment to drag on forever. It all feels too good to be true.
The song finishes, the lights switch off, the crowd screams. I'm left in the darkness. Robyn is holding onto my side for dear life. The only thing illuminating the world around us is a tiny light bulb above us. My eyes start to get used to the darkness. I see a figure approaching.
"Can you come with me?" It's Elijah. His cheeks are tinged a shade of bright red. There's sweat lining his throat and his chest. He's taken off the blazer and has slung it over his shoulder. The eyeliner has bled down a little.
"Yeah..." I'm exasperated. My throat is raw from singing so much. My brain can barely process what is happening around me. My hands want to reach out and hold him close to me.
He grabs my hand, pulling me down through a corridor. We're both running towards the back door. I'm trying to match his pace but his longer legs give him an unfair advantage.
We finally reach the exit. He opens the door for me, allows me to pass through then shuts it. I'm met by London streets. Brick walls, crooked alleyways, a rubbish bin. It's not particularly romantic. But, with him standing there in front of me, it becomes the most romantic place on Earth.
"It wasn't supposed to happen like that," he admits. "I just couldn't stop thinking about you when you left. I was going to tell you at the airport when you were about to leave Dublin. So that you could think it through without us seeing each other every day. Then I got fucking terrified."
"I was going to tell you then too." I press my back against the wall. He's pulled out a packet of cigarettes. He offers me one. I let it rest between my lips. "I had plucked up some courage after I went to the toilet but then I sat beside you and forgot the whole script I'd planned out in my head. That was a pretty awkward five minutes. Felt like a century."
"We're idiots, aren't we?" He says as he lights his cigarette. "Josh has always known. I don't know how he never told you. He's great at keeping secrets. Six years of keeping his mouth shut. I don't know how he has that much self control."
"Six years?" I blow out a puff of smoke into the air. My eyes wander across the star covered sky. The moon is looming and watching us.
"I know." He's blushing again. He's trying to keep his distance from me, leaving a slight gap between us. "I'm pathetic."
"I liked you for longer."
"What?"
"Eight years. Since the day you started dating the blonde girl." I feel stupid saying it out loud. He's laughing at me.
"That's class."
We stand there in silence just looking at each other. I can hear ambulance sirens and birds calling. The brick walls is hard against my back. My shoes are covered in water from standing in a puddle. I can imagine that there's a camera above us. This could be a scene straight out of a film.
"Are you going to kiss me then?" Some sudden burst of confidence brings those words from my lips.
He's taken aback. His eyes fall down to my mouth. He then takes a step closer. I can feel his breath at my cheeks.
"Do you want me to?" His voice goes all low and his accent gets thicker. His hand reaches up to cup my cheek. Metal presses against my cheekbone. His thumb lazily draws a line across my bottom lip. His words hang in the air. "Dahlia, my love. Do you—"
I press my lips to his. I can't hold back anymore. I can taste the smoke on his tongue. His mouth is minty and his lips are soft. I've imagined this moment countless times. In a bookstore, in a train station, in the garage. But, this is perfect. Perfect.
My fingers sink into his hair. He groans into my mouth as I pull a few strands at the back. His thumb is sliding across my cheekbones. He's dropped the cigarette to instead use his other hand to clutch my waist. My hands are at his chest. His heart is beating incredibly fast. He holds me tight against him until I feel his chest rise and fall. Up and down. Breathing in and out.
We hear voices behind us. He pulls away quickly. We both turn to see a group of fans. They're teenagers and they're all dressed in bright outfits. They didn't see anything but they seem rather suspicious, whispering.
"Eli! Oh my God!! Can you take my BeReal please?" One of them shouts over.
Elijah runs his fingers over his lips. His ears are a pink shade. He slides his hand away from my waist.
"Yeah, sure!" He approaches the three girls with a small smile. He's trying to act normal. "I love your hats." He points at the 3 cowboy hats which spell out the word 'Inhaler' when they're all stood side-by-side.
"Thank you so much!" The darker haired girl passes him her phone. "Your eyeliner looks so good. You should do it like that more often."
"I had a grand makeup artist." He winks. I roll my eyes.
"Could Dahlia be in it?" The girl with glasses notices how I've awkwardly shifted to the side.
"Course she can," Elijah says.
I stand in the frame next to Elijah as he holds up the phone. His lips are red after being stained by my lipstick. I drop my head onto his shoulder and close my eyes. He nestles his face into my hair as he takes the picture. We're both giggling like lunatics.
I'm so glad it happened like this.

I know this idea was kinda done to death with the persona asks. But would you be willing to write some headcanons for Kaguya, Wagner, and Yuzuriha with an s/o who's an american gunslinger? Their s/o also has a reputation for being so fast on the draw, Noone ever sees them draw the gun, they only hear the shot.
Ok now this is actually pretty fun to think about in the context of uni, much more than Persona imo. I just find EXS powers more fun. And a buddy of mine also has a gunslinger uni OC and he's done some pretty interesting stuff with that which helps.
-Fellow gunslingers unite.
-Dating Kaguya, she is 100% going to make everything a contest whenever she can. Oh there's a Void 100 yards off? First person to shoot it from here gets treated to dinner by the loser.
-Oh, there's a rogue In-Birth causing trouble that you were both aiming to deal with? First person to apprehend them gets a favor from the loser.
-No matter how good you are, she seems to almost always be able to keep up with your skill. Half out of her natural talent and half out of you motivating her to become stronger. Though she won't let you know that, obviously.
-It isn't long before the mere mention of your names together starts striking fear in the Licht Kreis' enemies, scaring them all half to death about just randomly being shot from seemingly nowhere should they start causing too much trouble for their own good. You two have mixed reactions about it.
-While you're likely just trying to do your job and don't care, Kaguya almost seems to have slight sadist tendencies in the fact that you two can scare the shit out of people with your presence alone, even if you have no intention of hurting them. You need to remind her to tone it down.
-A very polar opposites attract case. A noble knight and an underhanded gunslinger who will kill the moment they have any reason to.
-One would normally think you two would hate each other, you're probably the only ones who can tolerate each other enough to be in a long term relationship. Mutual stubbornness is going to color the relationship a lot, yes, however only you two can understand each other in that way.
-Such stubbornness leads to a kind of loyalty most people would kill to have in their own relationship, you two are an unexpected power couple.
-You two cover each others' backs very well on the battlefield, she protects you from any would be harmers that get too close and your cover fire protects her blind spots, she has full faith in your shot no matter how many snide comments she may give you.
-You two enable each other quite a bit, perhaps a tad too much. Anyone who doesn't already know you two are too intimidated to walk up to you two when together.
-A very practical yet fun relationship overall despite what someone lookin from the outside may seem. Neither of you give a shit what others think of you though, you're all that matters to each other.
-Pretty much opposite backgrounds but for different reasons. An honorable traditional swordswoman using a traditional katana and a western/western inspired gunslinger. Your first meeting with each other is quite odd to say the least.
-Not to say it was awkward though. That kind of contrast is the kind of stuff Yuzuriha lives for. It breaks up the otherwise monotonous life she typically leads with something new and exciting.
-100 percent, jokes will be made about this, especially if you're the more serious type. She'll make over-dramatic non serious speeches at every possible opportunity in an attempt to get a laugh or smile out of you. You doing so will only encourage her.
-She will one hundred percent challenge you you to contests of speed. Specifically whether you can draw your gun and shoot a target faster than she can draw her blade and slice. You two have yet to definitely decide whose faster because the difference is SO minute but that only makes her more determined to find out.
-Yuzu demands you visit frequently while she's guarding the shrine. Says she needs a break for some eye candy every now and then. Which to be fair is probably accurate, considering she has a shorter than average attention span, not good for the kind of job she has.

Just finished Book 5 and holy shit there is so much
Before getting into the spoilers, I feel like this is my favorite book so far, even squeezing out over 2.
This was an absolutely packed installment but let me just start with this: I got into this series for Catherine Foundling (and don't get me wrong I'm still in for her, and she was amazing in this book), but I think I'm finishing for Akua.
Like how did I go from "FUCK YOU AKUA SAHELIAN" to "HOLY SHIT I LOVE AKUA SAHELIAN" in just 2 books? Granted I was already getting on board with book 4, but this sealed it; I anticipate amazing things happening with her character (will it end positive, I honestly don't know, but the fact I could see it going either way and it'd seem right makes me so excited)
The fact she just sorta has a body now for all intents and purposes and has to interact with others already is interesting. And Catherine's change in attitude towards her was a pleasant surprise. Things changed so much between Cat, Akua and Indrani after the Everdark.
I'm still a little unclear, but when Sve Noc took Winter's mantle, Catherine lost that collared control over Akua, but despite the chance to slip free she stayed. And most likely saved Archer's life after the big battle. So like it or not Cat can't help but harbor some fondness for the shade. And thus begins what I'm thinking of as "redemption as long price", where Cat's stopped randomly torturing Akua (if she even can anymore), and instead threatens to teach her to care about other people so there's a sense of loss and regret when she finally kills her some day. WTF that's so messed up Cat and I am SO ON BOARD.
And it doesn't involve like, forcing her to do anything she wasn't already doing (being useful to Cat), but also just treating her with respect and dignity, inviting her to friend gatherings, and it seems to be working cause it's painful in a way she's not used to dealing with. This woman barely made a sound when Black made her stab herself, now she's getting bent out of shape at the fact that people were genuinely welcoming, and didn't give her the cold shoulder at a campfire gathering.
Now I know there are spoilers out there, and you don't compare a character to Zuko Avatar the Last Airbender lightly, so for now all I know for certain is, there's payoff, and people have written essays on her character. So I'll take that for the invitation to plow through the last few books that it is and see for myself. But I think she may be my 2nd favorite now, and may gun for that #1 by the time we're done. Will just have to see. And then the rewrite novels are coming out this year, and there's the webtoon AAAHJHHHDKSH
So if you thought I was obsessed with this series before, oh boy we've got so much more to look forward to. I still need to find the ttrpg someone was working on.
Moving on from Akua, I absolutely LOVE High Priestess of the Everdark Catherine! She's so fuckin cool with the staff and night powers and her strange relationship to her patron sister goddesses. You'd think being beholden to a pair of ritual murder goddesses would be more of a problem then holding Winter's mantle, but if anything the return to mortality was the best thing that ever happened to her. She's so much calmer and collected now, she's doing real diplomacy, actually trying to minimize deaths on both sides (while admittedly riding on her infamy for intimidation), and while she doesn't exactly worship Sve Noc, she does a great job as a religious leader to the drow (even calls them "my people" a few times). I'm just saying finding faith did a lot of good for her, and she still technically doesn't worship Below.
The fanart is also really sick (love how the Cloak of Woe frames this whole piece!)
Anyway, while my opinion of Akua changed dramatically, I have been in Tyrant's corner from the moment he appeared in the book 1 epilogue. And then book 5 catapults him to possibly the best Villain in this entire series! That this Saturday morning goofball who operates on cartoon logic earned that accolade is a testament to the writing in this series, and his eternal friendship with Cat was a treat from start to finish.
Everyone wanted Kairos dead from first meeting, he betrayed everyone and everything constantly, and he STILL got what he wanted in the end, and even managed to leave Cat a gift when one of his generals joins her army afterwards. Everyone may have been his eternal friend, but I think what Kairos had with Catherine was special. She was the only one to really understand him, to the point where she almost misses him despite him being The Worst. It makes my twisted zenoswol heart go pitter patter.
Speaking of romance, Archer and Cat! NOT romantic as they both insist, but, I'm still going to count it for the fact they care deeply for each other. They even have a fight early on that is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for earlier, where a couple has a disagreement that they work through together. Indrani had a brush with mortality in the Everdark, plus with Catherine now nameless and a mortal, she throws a fit at her for risking her life recklessly still, knowing one mistake can lead to a sword through her throat and that's it for her.
And they have a serious talk about it because it's just as much Indrani afraid for herself too, as she comes from a toxic background where she was taught to rely only on herself, and if her best isn't enough someday then she's a failure. Cat has to show her that it's her mortality that grounds her now, her limp meaning she won't wield a sword and shield anymore so she can't just stab every problem. And they have a real heart to heart over it! Which pays off much later when Indrani gets jibbed by the Dead King, and even though the Grey Pilgrim revives her, she still put her life on the line to save Masego, whatever the risk.
So, to sum up the Woe Polycule:
Cat and Indrani are friends with benefits
Cat Looks Respectfully at Akua while facing the camera and shaking her head to indicate she doesn't approve
Indrani will literally kill for either of them
Cat and Hakram have no physical attraction yet are soulmates to the degree getting married would be an insufficient reflection of what they have
Indrani and Masego have a non physical, non romantic friendship based on mutual curiosity and horizon seeking
I don't really know where Vivienne fits in yet, but she gets along much better with Hakram now that she's accepted the loss of her name
I'd also like to note, while the series has kept well to its YA roots and never gets too descriptive past a fade to black, we do at least get a couple hints from banter between Cat and Archer as to what the former likes in bed. That being she "likes it rough", enjoys having her hands tied, and her hair pulled. Which I mean, nice, and makes sense to me considering how much she needs to maintain control in her life, that giving up a little when intimate is appealing to her.
I'm happy for these beautiful, emotionally broken sweethearts.
Again speaking of, the Grey Pilgrim! This was the book where Cat really starts interacting with heroes in a sense that they're not trying to kill her all the time. Which makes sense cause they need every hero on their side they can get to fight the Dead King, so it's time for that new brand of Foundling diplomacy. By which I mean she keeps making good faith attempts at working together but SO many heroes don't seem to realize you can't treat an ally like a bound enemy and be surprised when they snap at you.
And don't get me wrong, Tariq does get better, but some of these heroes you'd think if a villain told them "You're lucky I was there to save you or you wouldn't be alive" and somehow take that as a threat. And I get it! I've played, watched, and read countless heroic stories, and even when the villain gives heartfelt speeches, the heroes still oppose them because the story makes them right anyway. And if the heroes otherwise would empathize with the villain's plea, it's during their dying scene. It's how these stories work. And then you've got this story, with a villain protagonist who keeps trying to reach out, whom we see all of her inner thoughts, justification, and doubts, and more likely than not gets slapped down out of political necessity, or by a hero who wants to ignore what she says and focus on her evil darkness night magic. Hell I'd be frustrated too! Frankly everyone in Procer ought to be lucky her lakeomancy days are over.
Then who does Cat meet but Hanno the White Knight, the chillest champion of Above ever, and I think the first hero to actually try talking to her first. Granted they met on good terms, but he actually hears her out, and gives a good explanation to how he utilizes Judgement the fairest he can. He even listens to what she has to say about the Liesse Accords, finds a lot to like. And then says he was warned she'd be charming and silver tongued. And she's nervous at first, until he clarifies he likes what she's proposing and understands it's not all her own ideas, he's just holding off committing himself even if that's his impulse. And it makes sense she'd flinch cause she's so used to getting burned by heroes when she's trying so hard.
I was so nervous that Hanno was gonna bite it by the very end, but I think losing Judgement was an interesting development for him. Shoutout to Hierarch for being so crazy about laws of the people and by the people and for the people, that he pulls a "if you can't beat them, join them" on the Choir of Judgement, and becomes the divine obstructionist. We'll never know how Catherine would have been judged with White Knight's coin, but after these two became allies I think I trust Hanno's judgement more than I ever trusted Judgement.
We end on a dire but oddly hopeful point. Neshamah will continue his war, Black is gone, back to the Wasteland to kneel before Malicia (and is back with Hye ugggh I don't like it, but I guess we're learning more about the Lady of the Lake soon), most of the League have dropped out, the Legions-in-exile got brain jacked to return as well, all the highest officers in the Callowan army are suspect (which means poor eternally suffering Abigail now has to cope with being—temporary—Marshal. But the Principate stands, a united front of Procerans, Callowans, and Dominion will face the Dead King, Vivienne is heiress-regeant to Cat's queenship, and, for better or worse, Tariq and Hanno can both feel Cat is on the verge of a Name. That I'm super excited for; I could see her rejecting and remaining nameless, but if she does come into one I can see her gaining a Name reflecting her goals of peace across Calernia, so not Squire or Black Night, but something like an enforcer of international law and rules of engagement. A neutral name similar to Ranger or Archer, that can be heroic or villainous depending on the story, for isn't that how it always seems to go for her.
I guess I'll find out on the last (but not actually the last) book!

1. What first drew you into Transformers? Has this draw remained the same over time or has it changed?
one thing about me is that i LOVE a longform multimedia multi-author project with no good jumping on point. if there's, like, one that's objectively the best one but that nobody wants to admit is actually the best one so they come up with about 15 mediocre-to-bad jumping on points, even better. (i will die on the hill that the g1 cartoon is the best entry point for transformers as a franchise and that IDW 2005 anything is sub-optimal at best.)
though for transformers specifically, i was about to do a fuuuuuck ton of busywork and needed something stupid to watch while i was doing it, so i checked to see if tubi had any transformers stuff because i knew some of my friends liked it. (then i got confused because tubi has a lot of transformers stuff and made a spreadsheet about it. typical niels.) (this is the spreadsheet it's "done" in that i don't think i'm missing anything but really is unfinished until i've read all that)
2. Favorite part(s) of the Transformers canon/franchise?
uh. hm! toughie! i guess i'd say my current favorite section of canon is Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Legends of the Microns, which is what got adapted into Transformers: Armada here in the US. i haven't seen armada but i loooooooooove microns. it makes me crazy
i pick favorites easily though. i also really like john barber's work in IDW 2005 (i said it was a bad entry point, not that it was bad) and till all are one, problematic as it is. and i'm currently really enjoying beast wars.
3. Least favorite part(s) of the Transformers canon/franchise?
cyberverse. lmfao. windblade i will get you out of this cartoon for babies.
i have like 15 episodes left but for context (spoilers for the next... rest of the post). cyberverse has 3 seasons. bumblebee and windblade are the main characters of season one, taking on a primary and secondary protagonist role respectively. the basic plot of season one is them trying to reunite with the other autobots on Earth, while fighting windblade's nemesis slipstream. at the end of the season they reunite with the other autobots, yay!
in season two there's a larger cast with no fixed main character (though it's been a hot minute since i've seen the first half of season two). there's like a dozen new men introduced v three women. uh slipstream fucking dies, bludgeon (another decepticon) kills her because he thinks she's a traitor. (she basically dies in windblade's arms though. kind of a toxic yuri W.)
a few episodes later windblade goes to try and kill bludgeon about this (she doesn't have the same pacifist characterization here as in IDW 2005). she's suddenly really bad at fighting though and needs wheeljack to bail her out. in early s3, windblade and bludgeon face off again, and again windblade only defeats him with wheeljack's help. (it's much more windblade's defeat this time though. last time it was unambiguously wheeljack who saved the day. ugh.)
also in s2e16... ugh. my bitchy recap is that windblade isn't allowed to do her fucking job of being a cityspeaker, she has to be possessed by a titan. LAME. she would do all that crazy shit to help a citytitan anyways she doesn't need to be possessed. dont piss me off.
and then in s3 hot rod is randomly taking on a leadership role. i did not accidentally say hot rod instead of rodimus btw he is doing this shit without being a prime. "well surely he isn't just randomly a main character now-" wrong. and it's like. why couldn't it have been windblade (historically has been a leader without being a prime). why couldn't it have been bumblebee, who's barely in any episodes but is all over the branding? are you stupid? bitch?
OK. rant over. i hate cyberverse. iwill finish this fucking show though

Red didn't just randomly stumble into the room. He had a Reason for being there.
I've been in the Captain Laserhawk fandom for a little while now. And I have noticed there seems to be some confusion as to why Red suddenly burst into the room while Rayman and Bullfrog were talking. I don't know why. For me it was fairly simple, I figured it out a little while after my first viewing. And got confirmed by the show after my second watch through.
Red was hunting down Rayman, to kill him. As per Eden's direct orders.
But I can understand why people may have missed it. The audience had no time to process the comments made by Red in those moments, because of previous emotionally charged scenes. But the comments were there.
Captain Laserhawk | All Rayman scenes - YouTube 3:34 - 3:36
In episode 5, when Red first enters the room. One of the first things he says is that he was looking for him. Looking for Rayman. And it appears that he had been looking for a while, since Bullfrog and Rayman were able to have quite a long conversation without any interruptions. And if Red had been hunting him down for what I assume to be hours, it would explain why he was so panicked when he lost sight of Rayman. Because how is he suppose to explain to his superiors that he managed to let Rayman of all people escape?
Captain Laserhawk | Laserhawk vs Ninji 6 - YouTube 0:14 - 0:27
And later in episode 6, Red and Pink have an argument. Pink stating that she would never have let someone like Rayman escape. That she would have got the job done. Which means Red wasn't the only one was told to carry out this order, all the Ninji 6 were seemly told this same order. But unsurprisingly, Red was the one who volunteered for the mission. Or what I think is more likely, was chosen out the bunch, because they knew for a fact he would have had no problems with killing Rayman. He may even enjoy it.
But, I hear people asking. Why would Eden want Rayman dead? And why send a single Ninji 6 member, when they could have gotten the whole team, or send out an entire police squad, or even done it themselves?
That first question is easy to answer. There can't be two Raymans. The system only works with one. And it's best to keep the unquestionably loyal Rayman, then the one who's loyalty may be put into question. Best to get rid of him before he becomes a problem.
As for the second question. Eden doesn't want the general public knowing about this. Rayman is a beloved icon in Eden, if the people knew that Eden would do this to Rayman. People would be rioting, it would be the beginning of an uprising that even Eden won't be able to control. So they have to do it secretly, make sure people don't notice. And sending the police would be too noticeable, and anyway regular cops are apart of the general population. So you need to send the special force, people who already know the truth about how things work in Eden. But they can't send the whole team, because the team are celebrities themselves, paraded around as Eden heroes. And if people notice them, which they most definitely will, it will ruin not only their image, but Eden's as well. So they select only one of them, a member who they know would have no problems in completing the mission. And it would have worked out perfectly if it wasn't for a traitor within the board.
As to why they don't do it themselves? Most of them are lazy, happy to just sit in their nice little meeting room and let everyone else do the hard work. And the one person who isn't, has her own goals which involved keeping Rayman alive.
TL;DR
Red was sent by Eden to Kill Rayman, because there can only be one Rayman for the system to function. And they only sent Red, because they didn't want the general population knowing as it could lead to them revolting. And they were too lazy to do it themselves.

A thing that hasn't left my mind for a bit. Hear me out.. MC Is a witch.
Now not Like some scarlet witch type witch, but a person who like sacrifices things 😅
I truly don't know I just have the idea of kate being all smug asking about what MC can do and MC just looks at her like "bring me a *something dead*" Kate believes it's bullshit untill MC does her thing and next thing you know they get a lot of money randomly. (Omg add to MC actually being like Salem witch trials old😭😭)
BUUUT if we wanna go the way of her actually having powers I was thinking of Morgana Pendragon! Katie Mcgrath my love, did an amazing job as Morgana. (Sorry had to show some love)
Excuse my rambling yet again! I honestly just was thinking of MC with the Feral sisters but she's a witch. Perhaps she's actually a lot stronger than the sisters and she thinks it's amusing?
-💙
Hellaw frosty!
Actually-
That has crossed my mind as well. Like, before I started on the first chapter I was contemplating having MC not be human because I was like "What makes her special? Why would the Denalis fall head over heels for her? How does one manage to charm an entire family of vampires?"
It was certainly tempting because I´m absolutely digging that concept of the Denalis being all smug and cocky, believing MC to be yet another mouse they can play with before going in for the final blow. Only for MC to...play along. Play the part of the innocent, because her appearance wouldn´t lead anyone to believe otherwise. To the public eye, she´s just an ordinary woman. A mortal.
The Denalis entertain her, so she´s willing to see where this goes.
...For now.
On the inside, however?
ANYWAY-
I ultimately decided against it because it just didn´t fit with what I had in mind. I´m a sucker for Beauty & The Beast type of stuff. Yknow, being held somewhere against your will by something that could snuff out your existence in the blink of an eye, but it decides not to because, for some strange reason, it seems to have a soft spot for you. Everyone else can f off though, no mercy.
It also helps that the place is actually quite nice to look at. Despite its rather...peculiar inhabitants.
Sooo yeah, I needed MC to be your ordinary human girl, facing off against forces that could wipe out entire armies in a matter of seconds. Because, in my books, there´s nothing sexier than having those forces at your beck and call, absolutely smitten with you, willing to kill for you, while you´re just there like-
(The last one is so MC & Kate yall. Kitty Kat, you hopeless case. 😭)
ANYWAY-
I gotta admit, the money thing has me a bit confused. Is that a thing? Like, making a sacrifice and getting a shit ton of money in return? Does that happen in any tv show or movie? Honestly curious cause I very rarely watch anything anymore. I´ve become more of a gamer and writer over the past couple of years. 😅
I do know Morgana Pendragon, but I haven´t actually seen her in anything cause *points to the aforementioned*. But I know a lot of ppl got the hots for her. I don´t blame them, lmao.
Okay so, I had to google Salem Witch Trials (don´t judge me) and-
LISTEN-
I love love love history so ofc we gotta make a quick lil smt, yes? Yes:
.
Imagine MC (a witch) living in Salem Village, the place where the accusations of witchcraft began. Those accusations were false, obviously, but it made blending in much more difficult for her kind. People have become wary, paranoid, forcing MC to a life in the shadows. She watched from afar as men and women alike - some of them close friends - were brought to trial. Some of them never returned home.
To this day, MC is plagued by feelings of guilt for merely watching as good men and women were executed in the name of "justice". She should have done something, could have done something. She has that power. But her heart had been gripped by a power mightier than her own: fear.
She can´t change the past, but she can ensure a future.
Multiple.
She now works from the shadows to preserve the light. A light that draws in creatures far more dangerous than herself. How she despises them.
Vampires.
.
OKAY LISTEN-
Witch!MC claps eyes on the sisters, dragging some poor fella away. Fella´s already dead, so there isn´t much she can do. However, that doesn´t mean others can´t be saved. So she follows them, cloaking spell firmly in place, in the hopes they´re gonna lead her to their hideout. Because she couldn´t live with herself if she didn´t at least check, yknow?
Well, nobody´s there. Nobody with a heartbeat, that is.
Good.
She turns around, about to leave (because she might despise them but she doesn´t start fights without good reason), when-
"...Who´s there?"
...
Impossible.
.
Cue MC revealing herself. Cue MC acting all naive and innocent. Cue MC pretending to be human so she can infiltrate The Lair and find out what´s so special about that weird ass family that causes her powers to malfunction.
LISTEN-
I dunno, lmao.
I just know it´s gonna be a mess à la The Sisters from there on out. The Denalis obsessed with the fake!human, while said fake!human is just there like-
Not even realizing she´s bewitching (hehe) an entire family of vampires - her sworn enemies - because she´s rather busy being a confused gremlin.
(Do you sense a pattern here?)
Hm.
She might have to annihilate them after all.
We´ll see.
.
.
.
Apparently, I can´t write an MC who´s not completely dense when it comes to just about anything.
I apologize.
(Never.)
Thanks a lot for your ask! 💋

Enhypen as Quotes I Found on Pinterest
Warnings: Just a lot of fluff. Mention of abuse and PTSD in Jay's story.
A/N: I was bored and this thought randomly came into my brain as I sat on my sofa with my cat! Pinterest has been making me lovesick nowadays so BAM here it is. I'm sorry Heeseung's is really short tho.

Heeseung - My heart is so full of you that I can hardly call it my own.
Doing the dishes was your job around the household. Usually Heeseung would do the laundry and you'd handle the dishes. This was the only time when both of you wouldn't be hugging or touching each other because Heeseung is such a cuddle bug. But today for some reason, Heeseung was extra cuddly and in need of human touch. He acted as if he had been touch starved his entire life as he tried to pull you into the sofa from the sink. You brushed him off gently and continued to do the dishes. You lifted you arms from your body once to reach the shelf above you and two big arms immediately circled around your waist. Heeseung had trapped you and now he wouldn't let go. "My heart is so full of you, that I can hardly call it my own Y/N. Please cuddle with me?" You couldn't resist his Bambi eyes so , eventually you abandoned the rest of the dishes and curled up under the blankets while Heeseung cuddled with you like he hadn't done so in a century.

Jay - Your eyes hold everything my soul hungers for.
Jay and you were basically a married couple, barring the ring on your finger. At random moments of the day, Jay would blurt out 'I wanna marry you' and everytime you always say 'I'll say yes, don't worry.' He had gotten you a promise ring which was more precious than any of the expensive jewelry he had given you. The thing with you was that, as a victim of emotional and physical abuse, ever since childhood, you had never really known any actual love or any emotion other than anger. Meeting Jay was like meeting an angel. He was everything that you always needed but never knew you wanted. Like Taylor Swift once said, you would have easily married him with paper rings even though he got you ones of sapphires and rubies. One fine day, your brain decided to bring back all the trauma. One of your friends had made a 'joke' regarding PTSD and you let it reach to your heart. So there you were at home just crying your heart out to Jay when you asked him "Jay why do you love me?" Jay looked at you with soft eyes before answering "I have an entire presentation ready as to why I love you sweetheart. Everything about you is perfect. Your eyes hold everything my soul thirsts for." You wiped away your tears and giggled at the sudden poetry, when you noticed Jay on the ground. On. One. Knee. With a ring box in his hands. Before he could even start his speech, you shouted 'YES' and leapt at him to hug him and never let go.

Jake - when death takes my hand, I will hold you with the other and promise to find you in every lifetime.
A happy little Aussie boy was someone in your life, whom you would kill and die for. Jake was perfect. Both of you had met two years ago at your pet cafe where you served for both pets and their parents. And sometimes the parents were attractive, to say the least. Bouncing in with a cream border collie called Layla, Jake had fluffy brown hair and the sweetest smile you had ever seen. He bought a lot of things for Layla and when Layla refused to move from your cafe, Jake joked that Layla had found her mom. You kinda wished you were her mom. He came back the next day and asked if he could leave Layla here for a couple of minutes cause he had an errand at a place that didn't allow dogs. You happily obliged to do it for free, even though he had offered to pay money, and sat there serving the customers with Layla snoozing at your feet. Jake came in a few hours later and as he took Layla and apologized a million times for leaving Layla out late he asked you out. And of course you said yes and one thing led to another and now you were together for two years. One night, on movie night, Jake had a game he wanted to play. He had tiny chits of paper with things written on them and he explained the very peculiar rules of the game. "So me and the boys have written down seven cringey things which we think can steal a girl's heart and we want you to rate them. I won't tell you which one I wrote I want you to guess!" You happily agreed to that and sat down as Jake read out very cringey pick up lines and very poetic lines which were probably written by Sunghoon and Jay, respectively. At the end he picked up a yellow coloured chit and read out "When death takes my hand, I will hold you by the other and promise to find you in every lifetime." He looked up to see your shocked eyes and puckering lips. You were so moved by that line that your expression was one of disgust (like the one you do when you find a really good song). Jake, the poor soul was so worried because that was the line he had written. He knew you really liked the idea of lifetimes so he had written it for you and he muttered a slow 'Thats the one I wrote.' to you. You couldn't take it anymore and you pounced on him giving him a very long and very deep kiss. When you broke away from the kiss, Jake grinned at you and said, "So do I have rizz now?" "Not at all. But you do have my heart, Jakey." The rest of the night moved in slow slithers as both of you melted into each other's touch, grinning at the fact that Layla brought you together.

Sunghoon - It's very comforting. To finally have something worth living for.
Sunghoon was the biggest crime lord in all of the world. You, his high school sweetheart were tracked down and bought to him. His parents wanted him to marry someone and he had no one else in mind except for you. You eventually ties the knot in a ceremony which you did not want. Yes, you loved Sunghoon but you had a life of your own. How could you be just some trophy wife? In the beginning you had thought about how cold Sunghoon had grown. He was nothing like the awkwardly cute sixteen year old boy you had given your heart to in high school. He was a stone cold killer now. On occasions when you would go out, you would always have bodyguards with you. You didn't think much of it, but deep inside you had a tiny though which you repressed that maybe Sunghoon does care about you. On one such occasion, you were at the perfume store with your best friend and you didn't take note of the fact that your bodyguard was acting shifty. He wasn't attentive today and he kept touching his back pockets. Suspicious, you hid at the back of the store until your suspicions were confirmed. Your bodyguard had betrayed Sunghoon and was about to kill you. Scared, you called Sunghoon and in a shaky voice explained your situation. And that marked the first time you had ever heard Sunghoon's voice falter and stutter. He arrived with bodyguards just a minute later and took you home as you cried to him all night. He cupped your face gently in his hands as you questioned him "Do you even love me? Or is this just another one of your shenanigans? Please Sunghoon answer me." You had fallen completely in love with him today and your heart gently lifted when he said, in a soft voice "Y/N, listen to me. I had loved you ever since the day we got married. I know you didn't like this but I had to do it. Every other woman I met was a spy for other overlords. My parents were pressuring me and I couldn't think straight. But I love you. I love you more than I love myself." You sniffled at his words and hugged him tight as he whispered into your ear, "It's very comforting. To finally have something worth living for."

Sunoo - you drew memories in my mind, I could never erase. You painted colours in my heart I could never replace.
Sunoo was the most infuriating person on Earth. He joined your school only last year and he had already beaten you in almost every subject. It shouldn't have been that annoying to you, since you're parents really did not care about grades much and told you to focus on your extracurriculars instead. Science and painting were your favourite subjects and you were thankful that Sunoo didn't get a proper hold of them yet. But it still didn't stop you from getting mad whenever he gave you that sarcastic smile with his beautiful fox like eyes. The professor who took the painting job always got frustrated with Sunoo and often asked you to tutor him in painting. Usually people wouldn't pay attention to the subject but you were in a school which was the elitest of the elite. Tutoring Sunoo was torture. He would end up staring at you and not listening to a word you say and choosing, instead, to judge the decor in your room. But when he left your house, there was an odd feeling of loneliness in you. You missed him. That's when you realised that you liked him. There was just something about that weird smile and that cute little laugh and the way he was so gentle with people that made your heart go boom. But then again, he would ruin it every weekend by coming over to the cafe you worked at and ordering the most difficult thing to make in the menu. When you had accidentally made the drink without him asking, because you knew he would come in that day, he went weirdly quite, mumbled a thank you and raced out the door, instead of going to his usual place. One August morning, there was a painting event in your school. Judges from all over the county were coming and you had made a beautiful portrait to win the prize which was a scholarship to your dream university. The portrait was a blend of reds and purples and it was of one of your favourite actresses. You felt very proud of your painting as portraits weren't your strongest power but you didn't want to just paint another boring landscape. The event went on till the afternoon and you kept your eyes peeled for Sunoo in order to show off your painting to him and look at whatever horrible thing he had put on his canvas. The end of the event came with the announcement of the winners. Your ears almost couldn't believe it when you win the first prize. You went up on stage and took your big trophy and your scholarship. Even though your parents were rich, you had always wanted to make it to college on your own without spending much of their money. As you were daydreaming on stage, the booming voice of your English teacher spoke into a microphone. "It is with great delight that I announce that the judges have also decided a person to win the second position! So please put your hands together for Kim Sunoo! Who has won for his portrait of our winner Yang Y/N!" You almost got whiplash from whipping your head around to see Sunoo in his blue cardigan going to receive a silver medal along with a portrait of you in colours of lilac and gold. After the event was over, you dragged Sunoo over to the gym area and asked him aggressively "Why did you paint me? And since when have you gotten so good at painting, Sunoo?' Sunoo looked at you with rather sad eyes and said "I was always good at painting. I just wanted to catch your attention Y/N. And I couldn't think of anyone else who's features I had memorised as well as yours, so I painted you." You were taken aback as you gawked at him and shouted, "But you hate me! You torture me every day. What the absolute hell do you even mean by that sentence?" "I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU Y/N." Sunoo shouted with indignation. "Ever since I joined I have had a crush on you. How can I not? When you've drawn memories in my mind I cannot erase and you've painted colours in my heart I cannot replace!" That was all it took. For you to throw yourself on Sunoo and kiss him, taking in all the love you had for each other. It was safe to say your classmates were very confused when they saw two rivals holding hands and walking out of the gym, smiling brighter than the sun.
