Finally got the time to post this - @khorazir, your letter already arrived last monday, but I had some hell of a week and didn´t get anything done. So here is the newest edition of my sherlocky Christmas installation. Apart from all the great christmas cards I received from @khorazir, there are also the Johnlock felt dolls I got from my dear friend @meetinginsamarra, as well as her Red Pants - and Purple Shirt of Sex Christmas Cards which make a perfect background.

Okay, if you orphan your fic for any reason -- I understand we're not supposed to out you as the author -- even if we have a handle on the connecting thread.

So here are fics which I know were all written by the same author, who shall remain nameless (who I never knew personally so I cannot reach them with thanks for orphaning rather than deleting from AO3)

Filament and Feather is what got me interested in this artist; linked from a lovely little bit of poetry (not quite a 221b) written by aderyn; and inspired by one of @khorazir's earlier drawings in this fandom.

Rec: This is such a unique and fun idea! It’s sort of a variation on the locked room trope with the bonus of a virtual first-hand experience of European railway travel. As a post-Reichenbach fixit, it has the advantage of there being neither any pesky interference from Mary as well nor any imminent danger looming to distract from the business at hand, which is of course the reuniting of Sherlock and John.

The unique setting creates an intimate space which is safe both metaphorically and concretely, a place where emotional confessions and physical encounters can be indulged without internal or external pressures -- and indulge they definitely do!

In a way, this story is less about the two of them against the rest of the world and more the two of them apart from the world, forging a bond that neither man would likely have allowed to emerge in the cold light of London. I will leave it up to you to discover whether that bond, once created, can survive the arrival at their destination. (Spoiler: It’s a happy ending!)

I’ve my fingers crossed that the book will arrive before I depart for Germany on the 20th. Since the book is sent from Germany 😅 and sent via DHL it should be, hopefully, on Wednesday. If not I’ll have to ask my neighbor to pick it up for me.

@khorazir I received your Christmas card and added it to my Christmas collage I´ve been building over the last few years with your amazing drawings (and the lovely cards from my dear friend @meetinginsamarra) and I feel it´s really telling a story (and not the Nativity story...😉). My record player which has to provide the space for it is getting a bit crowded by now..,  I also donated to my local food bank as you requested. TYSM for spreading Christmas spirit every year. Long live our fandom and a contemplative Advent season to you all!
