♡ Brush your teeth when you feel up to it regardless of the time of day.

♡ Brush your teeth for shorter amounts of time. If you can do 30 seconds but not 2 minutes, just do the 30 seconds.

♡ Dry brush your teeth - take a dry toothbrush and just brush. You can do this anywhere, even in bed.

♡ Use kids' mouthwash or toothpaste. The flavour is usually sweet, and you can change flavours to keep things interesting.

♡ Use kids' floss picks. They're super cute and not so aggressively minty so they can be much easier to use.

♡ Use Wisps, they're like little disposable toothbrushes and you don't need water or toothpaste to use them.

♡ Wipe your teeth off with a wet paper towel or washcloth after eating.

♡ Use chewable toothpaste. Most are designed to be used with a toothbrush, but you can just pop it in your mouth, chew it up, swish some water in your mouth and swallow.

♡ Listerine strips can be used in a similar way and can be much easier than mouthwash especially if you're not near a sink.

your parents had said previously, but, as lazy as it sounds, you solely want to stay in the comfort of your bed for, maybe, hopefully, until semester starts. you know you should take their advice, and you really wish you could, but the bed is just so comfortable, and outside is so... ew.

there's a knock at the door, and assuming it's your mother trying to get you up for the umpteenth time today, you bury yourself further under the covers.

"mum, please, for the last time–"

"hey, shortie, check again."

at that familiar snarky voice, you immediately sit up. sure enough, tsukishima stands at the door with a cocked eyebrow, unamused, and a bag over his shoulder.

"kei! what are you doing here?" your face lights up at the sight of your boyfriend.

"your mum called." he states as he settles his bag on your desk. you groan and fall back into bed.

"she called you to get me up, didn't she?"

"yea."

"i'll let you know that i refuse to leave this bed."

"i'm not going to." he interrupts as he makes his way to you. you squint your eyes at him. "huh?"

tsukishima lies down on his back beside you, staring up at the ceiling. "i'm not going to bother getting you up. knowing how stubborn you are, it's a lost cause."

you don't know whether to feel relieved or offended. "so what are you here for exactly?"

kei turns his head a bit towards you. "i'm staying in bed with you to keep your lonely ass company."

you grin widely and move over to him to wrap your limbs around him. "you love me so much."

he clicks his tongue at that and rolls his eyes, but he pulls you closer to him and nuzzles his face in your neck.

"unfortunately so."

tsukishima had brought over slices of cake and onigiri from the convenience store, and a large bottle of water for the both of you so that you didn't have to leave the room.

your mother really should have known better than to call him up to bring you out. after all, kei likes to hole up in his room too, and with you in his arms, he wouldn't be leaving anytime soon.

i think the karasuno first years are so funny (for so many reasons i just adore them but rn in particular) because you have two of the most straightforward people that are the definition of sharing the same braincell - cept when it comes to volleyball, they are so no thoughts head empty (said in a nonliteral affectionate way) - and then you have the other three who are all (albeit in different ways) just completely the opposite like the other three are all chronic overthinkers like ‘babes pls stop you’re giving yourself a mental illness’ kind of overthinkers. there’s no middle ground, they are all so extreme and extra (in their own way). and then like, they just hang out. the five of them. some of them pretend to hate each other. one of the overthinkers is a lesbian. incredible group dynamic.
