#lines that live rent free in my head tbh. although i'm not sure i communicated it as well/clearly as i'd like#he should def look a little more scary but i'm not the best at dogs aksdjfhjdsk#thoughts#my art#les mis#jean valjean#javert#<- i mean. sort of. lol#also Two footnotes here:#firstly i'm pretty sure in the original french it just stops short at 'to lick' & what is being licked is just implied by the context#so the 'intruder's hand' is all hapgood afaik. that said it's fun so i'm keeping it. fan art of hapgood translation specifically now ig#second footnote is just that i don't think he'd actually have any scars around his wrist bc the manacles are only for actually being#arrested afaik. when he was actually in toulon he'd only have the chain on his leg. but it's good symbolism so.#also the chain thing i had a whole thought process abt symbolism we being willingly/unwillingly chained willingly/unwillingly set loose#parallels & contrasts etc etc but i don't think it really ended up being very clear. but oh well. we're clearing out wips here#also was contemplating something about that thing about medieval art of saints having an open palm to represent#openness/sincerity/righteousness to the person they're facing but again not very evident

#Brook#soul king Brook#one piece#llorsdood#left hand art#Llors ndh art#left hand art batch#kept better track of keeping these under 30 mins limit#sketch (minus 6 )usually have the least time amount as the aim for these speed runs#the line arts just bonus training#but trying to do very accurate clean line art very fast WINDED ME#no idea if it was the stress pressure of the time limit to me putting 90% of my brain processing power into my left hand#or something else#but I did not feel good afterwards for sure#so going easier on self to avoid that again#sad part of the time limit it doesn’t give me enough time to have fun with the outfits

Furred Attempts at One's Self
#my art#my ocs#furry art#furry oc#AKA FURSONAS RAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH#I've been finally meaning to rip that bandage off and revist my hyena-sona and as you can see there's no time like the present!!#It's actually been a really refreshing and overall happy process so far and I'm happy to share these small bits of it hehe#This all came from the fact I'm getting into the habit of animal studies again and I felt like this would be a nice test of my knowledge#I'm still forever learning but I think I'm on the right path of capturing the face structure of a hyena and in turn other canviorous mammal#My furrysonas are also vessels to give myself bodymods I'm way to scare to get to I just keep winning hehe#Perhaps I'll look just as cool as this...so day#Also fun fact: The reason I choose a capybara as a sona is because I was a capybara in my friend's Cult of the Lamb playthrough hehe#Ever since I've been connected to the large wet rodents; and I wouldn't have it any other way#THAT AND THERE'S BARELY ANY REFERENCES FOR CAPYBARA PAWS HELP ME#I must make them accurate and yet the limits of search engines pain me#That and hyena noses are tricky to understand but I shall digress
