So, sorry if this is a dumb question, but there is a reason why the blasphemous kwamis dont follow the rule of the double letter? (Ex: tiKKi, plaGG, xuPPu, triXX, poLLen, etc)

its an indicator of whether or not they might've been previously selected for a miraculous (you'll one or two blasphemous with doubles in their names, that's because the sage liked them on some level or was initially planning on letting them have a corporeal state before something fell through) or,

When I came across that "joke" from Tav to Quill and Z'rell's comment (plus Halsin), I had to take a minute to process what happened. Gale might be a bit silly and eccentric but he's the kindest, sweetest and most passionate character in that party. No wonder the poor man has deep insecurities to solve, so many people reduce him to an easy target! Ofc one of the side effects would be overconfidence and ambition as a defense mechanism. He's obv lonely; only Tara and Morena ever loved him for him.

his eccentric nature might be a part of it. he is loquacious, outgoing, and doesn’t see the point in hiding his enthusiasm. he is considered to be the weird one. naturally, wizards in general being seen as somewhat squishy and physically weak might also add to it.

personally, i really don’t like the implications of the (widely considered) autistic-coded character being the one who faces the most ridicule by far by other characters and fans (and larian) alike.

some might disagree with me on that, but i don’t find it funny by any means either. mostly it just makes me feel bad. “he deserves it. cocky, arrogant, hubris-ridden wizard needs to be taken down a peg” like he isn’t… y’know… already at his lowest. it also disregards the fact that much of his bravado is part of his carefully curated Great Wizard of Waterdeep™ persona that he has skillfully adopted to mask his general feeling of being defective. being fiercely proud of your skill and knowledge and being doubtful of having something truly worthwhile to offer are mindsets that can coexist. according to fandom, gale is either secret hubris incarnate that is only waiting to be unleashed upon the world or pure baby that can do no wrong. instead of a character that is just as flawed and traumatized as all the others, but no less deserving of genuine love.

to me, the constant ridicule just reads as further feeding into his deep-rooted insecurities and his belief that he (as gale, the person) isn’t someone who holds inherent worth. it really, really doesn’t sit well with me.

pride month really does make a difference in how you feel...ive had a few rainbow flag and trans flag pins that ive been too nervous to put on my backpack or jackets but ive been seeing lots of people with them on stuff so i added mine to my backpack and it made me happy, and i think im gonna leave them on after june ends

A lot of early concept stuff was expression/pose brainstorming - there’s the classic six Webkinz emotions (which, I learned have been largely pared down to just four after a point! Since they got rid of Dr. Quack’s role, there’s no more “sick” expression and most ‘Kinz’ tired and sad expressions are the same! >:0 What’s the point of having an easily editable puppet with the spaghetti code intact that you have to put an image there AnyWay and not make a slightly different expression!! H’f) as well as the main Sakura poses - so if I’m already making up expressions, why no go a little further! :D

One of the expressions I definitely needed up top was Mischievous - working with a cat, that’s the only logical conclusion really. I think it’s funny that she swerves the compliment only to pay it right back as well lol

The ticklish expression is one I’m still going back and forth on! I’m half tempted to have it be somewhere between happy and angry - maybe a mood gradient, starting out just positive and slowly moving into “Hey stop! >:0″ if it’s too many times in a row? It’s a thought haha

Similarly so, messing with her ears - bothering your pets is a very important element of socialization (lol)

As seen above, I’d reallyyy like to figure a way to have a dual-visual mood system - both the ‘Kinz body language/expression/emotion and a more exact stat bar. I’m still chewing on this idea a bit, no pun intended lol. That and click-and-drag with an actual image you can drag around your screen, hm and hm! Much to think about. Her face here turned out cute and funny haha, helped me push the expression more comedic

Much better :) Webkinz already has some well-known food dialogue, my favourite is probably “Mmm to the mmmax!” haha

Each low-mood would have their own emotion tied to it, but what about somewhere in the middle? I like the idea of the ‘Kinz getting bored if they’re left alone for too long! And little paw taps, showing off her embroidered paw pad haha ♪

Hey I'm graduating college in may and I just kinda realized that I'll be Done Done with school after that. Not fake-done like I was graduating high school, where I'd have to go to college at the start of the fall. And not fake-done like I was in any of my semesters I took off.

Done Done. As in I accomplished my degree, and I won't ever have to go back to school if I don't want to. What a beautiful, beautiful thought.

Just so I stop bothering others cuz I’ve been super annoying the last few days- (It’s all fun and games but my shame kicks in and I have been trying to supress it), and also because I’m starting to get a little baffled about what I receive, I’m going to be a lot pickier about which asks I actually do respond to.

Unless they’re interesting, relevant (especially this), or seem fun I’m probably just gonna not.. Which almost feels counterintuitive to how I do things nowadays because I admittedly rely on being prompted by others a lot. Especially since trying to muster up the guts to post even the most asinine art I can think of feels like a shot in the dark. It feels almost like getting permission and having a safety net of sorts because I know beforehand that somebody wanted whatever it is I could offer. I don’t really feel useful or involved otherwise. But, I digress.

Don’t get me wrong I DO REALLY LOVE THE ENTHUSIASM, it makes me really happy to see 😳😭 and i’m flattered and super grateful. But, I’m really not like… some all-knowing person, and the more… esoteric the questions get, the less I have to say. If anything at all. There comes a point when I wonder how much is just a joke to gauge a reaction or something rather than genuine interest.

I could be reading too deeply though.

If/when Lucid is caught to be sneaking out of Heaven and the council alerted, I imagine they would not have the same mercy as Lucifer was granted. With Big G seemingly missing (verse dependent of course) it comes down to Sera and the high council to determine Lucid’s punishment. And I seriously doubt they would want to risk another Lucifer giving rise, or Lucid to potentially join forces with his predecessor. The most likely outcome would either be execution or the slim chance of permanent containment (which is basically jail lol).

chiyo hadn't realized she was singing under her breath while stoking the hearth's fire. the verse she had been musing is not yet complete, and she's embarrassed--were she to realize she was performing for her friend, she might have chosen a more polished piece. one she's proud of. this one has only snatches of verses, some of the unfinished lines filled in by humming the tune.

very few have ever complimented her music, and the few who have, chiyo has not taken seriously. the various master bards who have taught her, but is it not the job of a mentor to encourage their student? other bards, like guydelot and thancred, but are they not men who will say anything to woo a lady? a few patrons who have tipped her while she performs in the markets of ul'dah, but is that because her song was good, or because a pretty pair of lips was singing it? unlike it might for another artist, this self-doubt has had no effect on her musical prowess. chiyo sings to hone her craft, to express her emotions and feeling for others. not for the praise of those around her. any tips she receives are a bonus, not the aim.

but this line of reasoning does not protect her from sheri. the praise is clearly genuine. the other says what she thinks with a confidence that all stunningly beautiful women have, and is not a deceptive type, in chiyo's experience. the raen has no ears, but near where her horns begin, her cheeks tinge a gentle pink, and she struggles to meet the other's eye. to be complimented upon her looks or her dress is one thing; to be complimented on that which sits nearest and dearest to her secret heart is another. her tail flicks back and forth.

"you are flattering me," chiyo responds with a huff of a laugh, playfully accusatory, but it's too late. the compliment has landed. the fire in the hearth crackles, as if in response to chiyo's nerves. "it was only...'tis nothing special. i haven't yet finished it. some of the lines haven't come out right just yet..." chiyo realizes she's avoiding accepting the compliment and corrects herself quickly. "but, i digress. thank you."
