anshsb im so sorry to bombard but if you get the chance, do you know of any more alexis and becket centered fics? ranging from a strong platonic bond to something more paternal/familial. im obsessed with their dynamic and how it could have been, with kate being someone alexis can look up to and find comfort in, and alexis unlocking another caring side of kate that she didn’t let heal in the absence of her mother

I love sharing fics, no worries :) I love their dynamic as well - it had so much potential!!

Also, here are Young Alexis-specific fics - Of Finding Innocence by FanficwriterGHC is the mother of all Kate/Alexis fics (pun intended) and a rite of passage for any new Castle fan.

There is also a fic not included on those lists that I really love - it's a S2 AU where Castle is on a book tour and Alexis breaks her arm and the school/hospital calls Beckett because she's one of the teen's emergency contacts and Martha is also out of town. Beckett ends up taking time off and staying at the loft to help Alexis heal. It also happens around Christmastime because I remember them hanging decorations together. BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT'S CALLED, RIP!! (It's possible the fic is floating on one of these lists, but I haven't been able to comb through them all.)

4x09 breakdown — this whole episode of course, but the breakdown scene is soooo personal and important 😭

6x14 end scene — I love seeing her process her feelings and share them with castle, soooo much growth and change and i love her so much!!!!!

4x16 "the more, the merrier" — the whole scene but also just her delivery of these lines!! i love jealous beckett lmao

4x07 "listen to me, jackass" — iconic. this whole episode is absolutely insane, they're so... not subtle?? LOL

2x13 end scene — it's always been so important to me the way she listens to Castle and then says "it wasn't your fault, you know." Like the way she just understands that he was feeling guilty and then tells him how important he is!!!! GAH!!!!

also shoutout to the 6x22 deleted scene of her putting her mom's ring away, I love that scene and wish they had kept it 😭 and 6x17 writing the letter! the growth! the love! the emotion as she writes! jesus!!!! or her first I love you in 5x22!!!! or the improvised "shut up" in 2x12!! and the end of "Always" of course, the way she quits and sits on the swings and goes to him and apologizes!!!!

I finished four of the seventeen stories and enjoyed them all. Something for everyone in this collection!

Vampire human romance sees ancient Felipe and Elise fall for one another while in close proximity one snowed in winter evening. They are perfect together and the way there manage to be together provides a fun ending for the couple.

SANTA BABY by Trish Heinreich

A one night hookup at a Christmas party sees an orc and human meeting for a hot interlude only to find themselves working new jobs side by side soon afterward. Is it Fate that they end up together at the party and then again meet and are able to pursue more? Perhaps.

Ivy was born on Yul, lives in the woods, and knows there is a presence in the woods she is drawn to and wants to meet…feels she MUST meet. What a wonderful story this one was ~ Would love to know how Ivy and the variety of wood fae she meets move forward together in the future!

Kate Beckett is the type of person that everybody should aspire to be… an authoritative, stern, cool-under-pressure policewoman who is also geeky, loving, vulnerable, and somebody who’s very comfortable in her skin. Plus, it doesn’t hurt a bit that she’s portrayed by one of the finest female television actors of the 21st century in Stana Katic, a Serb-Croatian beauty who’s got intellect and quite a bit of talent to go with her stunning looks. She’s every bit as iconic as Olivia Benson and Dana Scully, and deserves more recognition than she gets.
