I saw the video. The way she can’t even look at the camera when she says it absolutely indicates it was not a mistake or ignorance. She absolutely knew she was sanitising child murder.

CNN abruptly terminated a live interview with Donald Trump’s spokesperson on Monday after she criticised the two journalists whom the network chose to moderate the much anticipated upcoming debate between the former president and Joe Biden. Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign national press secretary, became embroiled in a heated exchange with Kasie Hunt, the presenter of CNN This Morning, after saying Trump would be entering a “hostile environment on this very network” when he debates the incumbent president in Atlanta on Thursday. Asked what strategy Trump would pursue on the debate stage, she said he would be contending “with debate moderators who have made their opinions about him very well known … and their biased coverage of him”.

Leavitt’s comments were aimed, without initially naming them, at the moderators Dana Bash and Jake Tapper. They triggered an immediate reaction from Hunt, who defended her colleagues.

“So I’ll just say, my colleagues, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, have acquitted themselves as professionals as they have covered campaigns and interviewed candidates from all sides of the aisle,” Hunt said. Citing analysts of previous debates, she added: “If you’re attacking the moderators, you’re usually losing.” Hunt then tried to steer Leavitt back on to the topic of the debate, asking what the Trump team expected from Biden. Leavitt, however, refused to be deflected. “Well, first of all, it would take someone five minutes to Google ‘Jake Tapper Donald Trump’ to see Jake Tapper has consistently …” she began, before Hunt cut her off. “Ma’am, we’re going to stop this interview if you’re going to keep attacking my colleagues,” Hunt said.

The two then talked over each other, with Leavitt appearing to relish the exchange by grinning broadly. As Hunt repeated her threats to end the interview, Leavitt said: “I am stating facts that your colleagues have stated in the past …” At that point, Hunt ended the exchange, waving her hand in an apparent signal that Leavitt should be taken off air. “OK, I’m sorry, guys – we’re going to come back out to the panel,” Hunt said. Addressing Leavitt, she added: “Karoline, thank you very much for your time. You are welcome to come back at any point. She is welcome to come back and speak about Donald Trump.” Leavitt’s complaints may have been part of a deliberate strategy to gently lower expectations ahead of Thursday’s debate, which is taking place under conditions seen by many as more likely to favour Biden than Trump.

CNN host Kasie Hunt was correct to cut off Trump spokesliar Karoline Leavitt after her repeated insults at Dana Bash and Jake Tapper, the channel’s moderators for the Thursday night debate originated by the network.

A video of Palestinian children holding signs and thanking the student protesters of Yale, Harvard, and Columbia University . . . saying "We love you." This one made me cry. Those kids have been through so much, they've seen death and destruction that no one should have to endure, especially not a child. But knowing that someone out there in the wide world, the world that isn't penned in by barricades, sees their struggles and cares, meant enough to them that they made a video.

My main WIP is this:

Three outcasts, Chrin, Kasi, and Xhaazi, get thrown into a variety of Conflicts and learn dangerous things about themselves and others. But on their journey to unravel what's going on, they make powerful friends and even more powerful enemies. But when they join a rebellion against the hidden society hunting them, their world turns upside down. They must fight not only for their own survival but for the survival of nations amidst a world that will never trust them.

& I think by veilguard kasi and dorian aren't really together any more....if kas had been able to resolve the solas situation, if he hadn't lost his arm, if he'd been able to kill that bald motherfucker, if things in the south hadn't gone so wrong he'd essentially had to give up the hunt - maybe they could've made it. but all that did happen and he's spent the last ten years retreating into this dehumanising position of authority, carefully crushing every emotion out in order to do his work, and it was bad when the inquisition was active but by the time veilguard rolls around I think the only thing keeping him tethered is the vague memory of what he and dorian had. and by this point they haven't seen each other in years and they're both very aware that they're holding onto an Idea of one another and there's some pedestals there that are gonna get in the way if they ever meet again. and then in veilguard they do and they get to spend time together and say goodbye properly before kas dies:)
