The Right Squad, a collection of far-right homophobes on the Republican propaganda organ Newsmax, all agree that the new gay-friendly Disney+ series Agatha All Along from Disney’s Marvel Studios is a threat to children. “It’s a recruiting video,” claimed host Chris Plante. The stars of the hit Disney+ series are “flaunting and flailing with joy that the show is the gayest Marvel series ever,” Plante offered, thrilled “that the Marvel Universe isn’t just for straight men anymore.”

It’s evidence the show’s creators, and by extension Disney, are “targeting the kids.” “We’ve seen it in the schools and the books and the libraries and the genderqueer and the graphic novels,” Plante said of an alleged LGBTQ+ cabal preying on kids, “and it’s always the children.” Panelist Jason Nichols said he didn’t need to see gay people on screen to know they exist. In fact, he said he hadn’t even seen the show but opined that “it’s inappropriate for children” and that Disney “should make sure that people know that it’s inappropriate for children.” “You don’t have to act like they don’t exist in film,” Nichols said of gay people, referring to actor Joe Locke’s statements of support for Agatha All Along’s inclusiveness. “I don’t know exactly what they mean.”

The most revealing take came from Mercedes Schlapp, wife of alleged groper Matt Schlapp, whose once-powerful anti-LGBTQ+ advocacy group, the American Conservative Union, imploded last year after young male staffers assigned to Herschel Walker’s doomed Senate campaign came forward accusing the group’s chairman of fondling them. [...] Without a trace of irony, Mercedes Schlapp denounced Disney for “this obsession with sexuality and sex, just children in general, and then putting that in front of the children.” “I mean, it’s just sick,” she ranted. “Go back to storytelling, go back to the innocence of children. That’s really where they should focus on.” “Obviously, they’re more focused about men,” Schlapp added, sputtering, “and, you know, gay men and straight men.”

It was a cold night, but that was typical for that time of year. A new moon basked the sky in darkness, a darkness not even the city lights could cover as the wind pulled the last of the leaves off the barren trees. Chris lay on his chip crumb and dirt covered bed and lazily scrolled through his feed. He felt his eyes start to droop even near millimeters away from the only night in the room. He closed his eyes, yawned, and stretched a little as he wriggled himself into a comfortable enough position. He could feel himself start to dose off until there was a knock on the door. Well, it was less of a knock and more of a banging. Chris turned on the light and rubbed his weary eyes as he waddled his way to the door. He peered through the peep hole and saw a familiar face. It was Will! His dear friend Will was standing at his door with a friendly smile.

Chris opened the door and rubbed his eyes, "Dude its the middle of the fucking night, what the hell are you doing here."

Will smile widen as he near whispered in a low, off tone, "Oh. Chris. I am here to ask you If you could let me in. I have found myself in a very strange predicament and I need to stay here for the night."

Chris narrowed his eyes as he looked at Will. "Are you... Ok? your like covered in dirt and shit," dear Chris inquired, "wait, how did you even get here, your suppose to be in-"

"As I have said, a very strange predicament." Will hissed in a raspy harsh screech. He giggled for a moment, and began to smile wider and even more friendly, "Oh. I am so sorry for the outbursts Chis. I have been through quite an amount tonight. So please, just let me inside."

Chris blinked and furled his brow. After a moment he spittled out, "uh, yeah man, uh let me just get things ready for you." After his last word he slammed and locked the door behind him. He brought up his phone and brought it to his contacts. The phone buzzed for a moment as he stared into the peep hole. though it took a minute, he finally responded.

A tired voice came out from the other end, "Chris, what the fuck man its fucking god damn like, 3 in the morning why are you calling?"

Chris looked out to see the figure standing still with its eyes wide and its mouth almost unhinged. "Will, your not outside my apartment, aren't you?"

MAGA media figures are preparing their audiences to believe that the upcoming presidential debate on CNN will be unfairly biased against Donald Trump.  While Trump has already begun saying that the June 27 debate will be rigged against him, right-wing media attacks escalated this week after an interview with Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt was cut off on CNN’s This Morning when she refused to stop attacking network anchor Jake Tapper. Right-wing media seized on the incident as supposed evidence that the CNN debate will be unfair, and some called for Trump to cancel the debate if the network does not officially apologize.

Right-wing media had a meltdown over CNN’s Kasie Hunt cutting off Trump spokesliar Karoline Leavitt on Monday’s edition of CNN This Morning.

weird ass dreams again! Wild kratts edition apparently

(Note, this dream was from a while ago i just onky niw remembered to post it)

Ok so,

I had a dream that was like, wild kratts infection au,

Like, it was animated like the show and featured the characters, this parasite started with animals and they noticed it and were trying to warn people that this shit jumps to humans after a very unfortunate incedent with gourmand,

The parasite itself was some kinda weird holly looking plant that rooted inside a hoast and eventually overtook their brain to make the hoast spread the parasite further,

The bros started making informational videos on the thing to warn the public about it, like how the infected were mostly active at night so don't go outside then, it spreads through bodily fluids and can linger in certain places, Physical symptoms take a bit to show up so if you're sick get that checked out, Late stage infected have wood like skin and leaves and berries of the parasite start bursting out from them, and the infected are very aggressive and use human predatory behaviors to hunt their prey, meaning these fuckers have basic weapons and power strut at you til you collapse of Exhaustion.

One of the brothers, Chris got infected but apparently got a mutated one that was waaaayyy more aggressive, Rather than gradual progression it stayed dormant until night hit, then just pulled a hostile takeover, taking him over in the span of minutes, For some reason he was also in creature mode as a squirrel at the time so i think that wonkied things a bit, and he was tiny So Chris is a damn rabid squirrel trying to absolutely maul Martin, Martin and Aviva trap Chris in a box and just kinda kept him in there trying to figure out wtf do they do about that

A pretty much perfect afternoon. I prepared my roast (chicken this week) and while that was cooking I did some figure drawing and then some random quick portrait practice in neocolor crayon. And I listened to all the Led Zeppelin albums in order, as far as Physical Graffiti, serving up the meal to Kashmir. Nice.

I think Chris Cornell is my favourite. If you don't know his solo stuff, listen to Through the Window - it's lovely.

Song Review(s): Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes - “Bring it on Home” and “No Speak No Slave” (Live)

From the annals of a far-too-short-lived rock ‘n’ roll collaboration comes previously unreleased and freshly remastered music from Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes.

And though the Crowes arguably owe more to the Mick Taylor-era Rolling Stones than Page’s Led Zeppelin, “Bring it on Home” and “No Speak No Slave,” the lead singles from the 25th-anniversary edition of Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes: Live at the Greek (March 14) reinforce the idea this unlikely partnership imploded far too early.

“Bring it on Home” forgoes Zep’s arrangement for more-traditional blues fused with 1970s-flavored rock even as Chris Robinson channels - without imitation - Robert Plant. It’s a wonder this didn’t make the original LP; but it is thankfully one of 16 such numbers hauled from the vault from this release.

“It was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill to play these amazing … songs with the man who composed them,” Rich Robinson said of Page. “The sound of the new mixes and extra songs blew me away when I first heard them.”

The remastered “No Speak No Slave” is also quite the workout with Page weaving threads of the mighty Zep into the left channel of the Crowes’ original.

Together, the songs encapsulate what Page called “those alchemical moments” the gigs contained.

Grade card: Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes - “Bring it on Home” and “No Speak No Slave” (Live) - A/A-
