Hey everyone! I am back. Sorry for leaving the blog in a limbo. I have been working on a personal project and that has been consuming my days and energy. During these months I couldn’t work on the audio, it is only 30 sec longs right now. However, I have worked on a MULTI CHAPTER Sasusaku fic (Kage Sasuke) fanfiction, as I am also fond of writing.
Tumblr has tagged this as ‘mature’. Use this link to read the Prolouge for Free! Will be adding two chapters every week.
Will make an audio based on this fiction once I am done with the audio that I promised.
Hi everyone! My laptop has crashed and won’t turn back on. Hence no update this week but I will be posting all the four chapter together as soon as I get the data back.

You know seeing Gaara again at the summit is probably kinda funny from Sasuke’s perspective because Gaara is lecturing Sasuke about morality and shit (operating with very incomplete information) but this is Sasuke’s FIRST TIME seeing Gaara after the timeskip. The last time Sasuke saw Gaara he was a mentally unstable serial killer screaming that Sasuke was his prey hallucinating that he was talking to his dead mother.

Best of Time Travel AU
There are A LOT of time travel fix-it fics, but this isn't my favourite trope. That said, this post might be the only part of the recommendations for this section of Naruto fanfiction.
Uzumaki Revival by Lerya @lerya-fanfic They had been trapped in the ruins of Uzushio for who knows how long, the hastily erected barrier on the point of breaking, which would mean their deaths at the hand of Kaguya, when the Bijuu come with a solution. A solution that requires them to make the ultimate sacrifice, to give them a chance to change it all. - Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Obito were reborn as a part of the Uzumaki clan to fix past mistakes. This is my favourite fic, where Naruto is a functioning Kage. Everything is logical in this fanfic. Sakura is a strong and capable woman; everyone in our small group acknowledges how competent as a leader Naruto is. KakaObi and Sns are established relationships; interactions between Sasuke and Naruto are too precious. NaruSasu/SasuNaru | Time Travel AU | Fix it | KakaObi | Kage Naruto | Uzushiogakure (81,338)
French Kissing, the End of the World, and Other Impossible Ordeals by Tsume_Yuki This is it, centuries of excellent genetics, of carefully selected marriages to maximise the potential of future generations and it’s going to be Sasuke who introduces idiocy to the Uchiha bloodline. The ancestors must be rolling in their graves. In which Sasuke is smitten, Naruto is a badass, and timetravel happens. - This fic saved me from depression quite a few times. You could just read it purely for serotonin production. I just can't get over how smitten Sasuke is. They save the world together and live happily ever after. I believe this is the best-written fem Naruto I ever saw.  SasuNaru | Fem Naruto | Time Travel AU | Fix it | Smitten Sasuke | Smart Naruto | BAMF Naruto | Protective Sasuke (16,194)
Two Lifetimes by KinomiAkai @kinomiakai With every passing day, it's becoming clearer and clearer that Sasuke is dead. So what else would Naruto do, if he got the chance to try all over again? - They got another chance to fix everything. Sns is not established YET, but our boys have a happy ending. SasuNaru/NaruSasu | Time Travel AU | Fix it | Eventual romance | Happy ending (11,166)

it's telling that at sns' pivotal moments, and during the scenes where they discuss their bond when they become more honest about their feelings, it's framed in such a way that distance is put between them and others. their bond is theirs alone.
like during the LoW they're separated physically from the rest by ice mirrors:
Tumblr media
during vote1 it's a battle just between them as they shed previous pretenses:
Tumblr media
during the reunion scene sasuke gets up close and personal with naruto and only naruto as he speaks to him more personally, and enters his headspace as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
during the kage summit arc they go to another plane of existence to discuss their bond, where naruto's feelings towards sasuke clearly parallel hinata's feelings towards naruto during her Pein arc confession (which also raises another interesting point - because it's very telling that those particular words were the ones that were 'hidden' from the other characters):
Tumblr media
again during vote2 it's just them, all outside interference stopped in its tracks. even kurama is asleep during sns' emotional reconciliation in 698.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
when sasuke leaves the village in 699 he leaves kakashi and sakura behind at the gate much like he did when he left in part 1, when he was able to break off the bond he had with them that night. but it's naruto who comes to see him off outside the village (also reminiscent of part 1 - the one bond sasuke couldn't break). their separation is between them alone, as sasuke takes the headband which has become representative of their bond on his journey with him, keeping naruto close while he travels the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
basically kishimoto keeps others at a distance from witnessing and understanding naruto and sasuke's bond. it's a way to create distance between the other characters, because no other bond, no other relationship comes close to the one that naruto and sasuke have. and even at the end of the story this distance is maintained. it's visual storytelling to reinforce the written text.

Naruto Live Spectacle (and Road of Naruto)
The first two parts of Naruto Live Spectacle run for two hours. The first one retells the first part of the manga, and the parts that do not directly relate to the main storyline (Naruto and Sasuke) are cut out. There are completely no Chunin exams arc and Tsunade search arc. But the Land of Waves arc is shown quite fully there, with all the necessary dialogues about the "most precious" and love and power. Clearly, the priority is on themes and content, rather than battles and events. Next comes the battle with Gaara (which also contains dialogues about love from Yashamaru) and VOTE1. This is probably the best option for adapting the first part in two hours.
The situation is similar with the second part, which adapts the first four arcs of Shippuden. There's nothing that doesn't include Sasuke. There is no Kazekage rescue arc and Team 8's battle against Akatsuki (but there is the creation of a Rasenshuriken). But all the quarrels between Naruto and Sai about Sasuke are included, lol. Priorities here...
This is a kind of Sasuke Shippuden tbh, his arc with Itachi is central here. It's obvious that the director is a Sasuke fan.
Some scenes legally look like a Romeo and Juliet production.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I immediately remembered the PV "Road of Naruto", which also briefly retells Naruto. Everything there consists of battles and there is almost nothing beyond them in general. And there is a very strange prioritization. Chunin exams take the most time (1:55 minutes out of 9:30) there. The Fourth Shinobi World War is mainly shown in a slide show. The battle against Madara at the end lasts 4 seconds, like???
But the funniest thing there is the Kage Summit arc. It SCREAMS that the director hates Sasuke because... Well, first there are intentionally several seconds about how Gokage kicks Sasuke's ass, and not the other way around, and then the emphasis is on all his "terrible crimes" in this arc. In particular, the attack on Sakura, who attacked him first, lol. This is the most disgusting summary you can think of.
I just like the comparison of these two summary. They have a different format, but that's not even the main difference. They focus on different things and it is obvious from them how their creators see "Naruto" as a whole.

You can't tell me one day that exterminating the Uchiha was justified because other nations would invade and there would be war, and the next day that attacking the kage summit was wrong because poor kages were innocent. They are either blood-thirsty imperialists or innocent victims, both can't be true. Freaking make up your mind.

"How can Sasuke so casually say that he wants to kill The 5 Kage?! They are good people!"
Raikage: Wanted to kidnap a little girl
Mizukage: Basically flirted with a minor
Kazukage: Killed hundreds of people
Tsuchikage: Worked with a terroist group
Hokage: Subjucated an entire race of people.
Need I say anymore?

"If I die, we both die, Sasuke."
Definitely lots of layers going on to which I interpret as:
Naruto knows he doesn't want to exist in a world without Sasuke. His resolve is clear: he'd bear the burden of Sasuke's hatred and die together with him. He doesn't want to die like a loser but he doesn't want to die as the hero that killed his friend to protect the village, either. This is a blatant rejection of what Hashirama did when he fought against Madara. Naruto chooses Sasuke above all else. If Sasuke dies (literally) and Naruto lives, he would spend the rest of his days devoid of his driving force, even the prospect of becoming hokage doesn't fill the empty space which was originally meant for Sasuke--the one who reached out first and saved him from his own darkness. His bond with Sasuke became exponentially bigger than his worldly dreams.
Sasuke, on the other hand, would fall deeper into darkness. Dealing with loss, heartbreak, grief, misery. As much as he takes action on severing his bond with Naruto, when confronted with the idea, he couldn't handle it to the point that he doesn't want to record the memory of Naruto dying with his Sharingan. He knows how far he'd fall and he could never recover from it--he'd end up powerful enough to conquer all but like how Naruto finds irrelevance in a world without him, he'd spend the rest of his days with a resounding emptiness filled with hollow excuses until it runs out and he'd go mad. Perhaps destroy the world because his one and only died in his hands long ago and nothing else matters, be reckless and die in the process.
And both of them are aware of all of this because they were able to see each other's hearts. They would not function without the other. They're connected by wretched fate but their bond goes beyond the organized shinobi system that enabled their burdens and justified their twisted circumstances. At the end of the day, that bond led them to understand one another and they hope it would influence the same system that failed them in ways more than one.

I think that both Gaara and Naruto are very emotional people who have also struggled a lot with emotional regulation... like their reactions have always been very intense and would sometimes overwhelm them (anger and sorrow/distress especially hit them really hard)
It's like... they both have trouble "feeling too much" as a consequence of their trauma and have emotional responses that sometimes veer out of their control. It's really clear with Naruto pretty much every time he starts to go kyuubi mode and/or breaks down crying whenever something reminds him of his childhood. And I think people tend to forget Gaara is like this too bc he went from being so unhinged (like "anger problems" would be understatement of the century here lmao) to always being so calm and rational, but even after that change you can tell from his internal dialogue that his feelings surrounding his trauma and loneliness etc. still run very deep.
Another thing that sort of ties into this imo is the way they both really yearn to feel loved and wanted by the people around them. Gaara decided to become Kazekage for basically the exact same reasons Naruto wanted to become Hokage, thinking it would give them the opportunity to gain people's admiration so they'd feel needed... and what Gaara said about how Naruto achieved their dream of becoming necessary presences in the world, bc both of them grew up feeling like their existences were unwanted and meaningless. I'd say they both are the kind of people who need a lot of love and attention and emotional support/reassurance, but neither of them will ever demand or even just ask for it bc they both feel like it's their responsibility to have to 'earn' it.
Anyway I'm not really going anywhere in particular with this lmao, just some random thoughts..... I think it's one of the many things that make them so similar deep down despite being such different people? Like their whole being mirror images of each other thing that gives them such a unique ability to understand each other

During all my life, people came at me with full intent to kill me or seriously hurt me for the most stupid reasons. Because they wanted to prove themselves. Because they were insane and believed their purpose in life was to be a mass murderer. To bring me back "home" (aka the place that murdered my family). Based on false accusations. Because I was "evil". Or just because.
But somehow all those are heroes that get everyone's sympathy and I am the villain of the "curse of hatred".
