Does JW's ex gf Jonna have a kind bone in her body? Do you have a source that knows her personally? I've read that if you try to befriend her on Instagram she will immediately block you. The research about her still holding onto JW seems negative. She's a mean person, etc. Maybe she might end up successful and marry him. Play the long game like Kate Middleton. Even though I don't know the ex, she fascinated me. How strategic and dedicated she is to getting the ring.

I'd like to believe she has somehow, but so far none of my fonts have a nice thing to say about her (and yeah she blocks everyone except if you're a guy from the Gotha). About the Kate Middleton part, first she's not toxic and didn't chase down William so it's like comparing apples and oranges. And after their split she didn't pine on him like he's the last man on earth, and they were together again after a few months. If it's an engagement that she's waiting for I don't think that's still on the table for her. JW had called it quits in 2019, too much time has passed for a reconciliation (my font said JW's not even on speaking terms with her). They have known each other for 9 years, if he's really into her they should have been married by now. Jonna even posted a photo of them in 2021, insinuating that they're back together. One of my fonts who knows someone that knows her said that the relationship was on and off and not stable, and no one in the Princely Family liked her including his cousins. Even Prince Hans Adam took a swipe on her in an interview with ORF saying that he doesn't want golddiggers in the family. On being strategic and dedicated, I'd like to know how they met cause at this point I see her as pathetic. How can there be a marriage when JW himself had already given up and isn't willing to fight for her.

Connor knew it was a bad idea the second Tim said he needed a backup For tonight's Steakout Not only was he the least patient person to do a Stakeout he was also  looking forward to the pirate that mom made but then Tim said he was looking into a new Academy's research facility under a new name that wasn't weird Tim has been looking into a lot of things recently and he's just glad he stopped a little bit sure he's still staying up 3 days straight and I sleeping but at least He just wished it wasn't him

 but the second he knew it was Academy's related he was really interested cuz they're still a lot left and known about what made him into him sure he's a clone of Superman and likes loser but what else he also wanted to make sure that there is no other little clone kids or whatever it is being made in another secret facility and nobody else was cloned

 getting closer to the facility Connor started noticing some strange things they could see people walking around it we can only hear the heartbeats other people outside he can see people through the windows and such and he could hear them answering over the radios and there's still more people inside scientists guards and the like but he can only see the 12 pacing outside 

Tim hacked into the cameras in the facility and saw that they got a new subject and that they are now working with a sister program called the giw that specialize into the Paranormal a quick Research into it it shows that JW is it government-funded program that Is said to no longer to be in use in the next two months if they don't get any real hard evidence of whatever they're hunting

They can find evidence of ectoplasm and such all over the place but there's no concrete evidence of these  so-called ghosts so far I wouldn't seems to be their extra dimensional beings and they don't get no real evidence at these so called ghosts don't feel and pain their funding will be cut in the program will be disbanded

 but recently it is documented that they were getting close to that subject Phantom and lost him after having him get put captivity for about an undetermined amount of time since some of the data is corroded but they noted that they have found a phantom even though he is in the different condition they are 100% sure it's him they said they'll continue with experiments post-taste regardless of what tricks in mind games he tries to pull by trying to make them believe he looks like a human CHILD  and the next part is  screeched out while Tim finds a photo of phantom he doesn't look to be any bigger than three years old likes to be 10  months  at the youngest and while he's scrolling down the patient sees that the notes are being updated live  and are about to start experimenting on the child and sooner or later plants are vivisection neither caring about anything else they both decided to start extracting the child baby 

 meanwhile on the other side of the facility Danny is tired he's hungry he's asking for his dad and all these non-dead of people refuse to give him his dad in fact they look the opposite of his dad and they smell the opposite of him too his dad never wore White and always smelled something funny and coppery of books Gun Leather and smokes even though he doesn't know what those are that's what his father usually smells like the mean man in white start yelling at him and telling him to stop playing tricks on them and that they know what he Really is and he should just give up The Jig and transform back to the Abomination that he is those are big words Danny only knows half of them he just knows that the mean men are not going to get him his daddy and are being mean to him so he decides to be mean back they try to poke him with those bright shiny things you make sure the minute goes all the way in and it can't get it out They later try to strap him in onto a table but he decided to start floating they can't strap him down if he they can't catch him so little baby Danny decides to start floating like his little astronaut like the game him and his dad play fearing that the Abomination would fly out of the facility they put the active shield around the facility 

at this point Tim and Connor have Infiltrated the facility I started knocking out cards and Gathering evidence against them while they try to look for their baby Sarah and the monitor room trying to check out which room they have the baby in and all of a sudden he just see him on screen flirting above the heads of the scientist and seems to be dropping something on top of them and they're running away from him screaming yelling and start SHOOTING  at him why are they shooting at a baby 

Baby danny decides that this is less fun and decides to face through the floor when Tim and Connor lost  visuals on him they had a mini panic attack on how their going to find him, all the sudden they hurt a small little giggle footing above their heads and there's baby Danny suddenly the doors stretched open and a scientist or where is playing at scientist throws something and it actually latches on to the baby turns out that was a work in progress color to suppress ghost abilities obviously being modeled after the meta collars and  power dampeners Listen to say work in progress and only limited two Abilities at the moment  flight and what the team Heroes would call density shifting this cause the baby to fall onto the floor hard 

Now baby daddy is tired scared wants his papa and hungry and was just 10 ft onto the floor  where he a regular human child this would obviously cause some problems then just problems him being a helper with all these Powers containing to a small body shocked him in his state unless he began to cry he still had his ghostly will which had Connor immediately though his hands above his ears to a person damage thankfully Danny was screaming away from him so that did help a lot after the scientists wannabe was incapacitated the two teens just stared at the baby  seeing that his powered crying pit her off into a normal crying until he started yawning and falling like he needed a nap 

Well that was easy is a shirt suck between the two boys two picks up the baby and wraps his cape around him to keep him safe Connor goes to drag the butt into a closet when all the sudden the computer starts making noise and calls their attention back to it Tim shoves the baby into Connor and says “this is where we got to split up The facility is about to self-destruct and they destroying evidence as fast as they can meet each other back outside you get a small head start I'll finish collecting evidence if all else fails we'll see each other at the  at the JL headquarters in space and about an hour” 

“Tim don't leave me with the baby this was your idea your operation I didn't even want to come” 

“ come on Connor it's just for a little bit he's just a baby he can't be that hard to handle he's asleep and wrapped up in my Cape what could go wrong”

Not even 10 minutes later Connor wanted to punch  him to space straight to the JL headquarters forget an hour Connor will send him there in 5 minutes. Well could go wrong he  said he's taking a nap he said he's just a baby he said  damn it Timothy You jinxed it and the short time they've been apart Danny decided it was a great idea to wake up from his little  impromptu nap  that he'll start calling power nap cuz the second he woke up Danny bit him and  sure he's half human but he's also half Kryptonian meaning a child's bite shouldn't hurt that much but Danny isn't normal so they were both surprised Danny waking up in the arms of somebody that wasn't his father and Connor getting bitten that actually hurt  that made him throw the baby into the air accidentally in shock. not only is throwing a baby a very bad idea that's what I meant to be at the worst moment possible cuz a group of giw Agents decide to swarm him and start shooting at both Connor decided to start blocking off whatever and time meta rhetoric that they were spewing from the mouth saying something about not even being human and says to start Plowing through all of them,  thankfully Danny didn't cry out when he fell this time and started biting all the ankles he could reach

This sadly we came up pattern for the next 30 minutes until they escaped and I am throwing the baby well not just during the baby but the baby causing chaos wherever he went he couldn't keep on carrying the baby so he had to let him down a few times and Danny would bite and Claw and think he could reach whether that be humans or any wall panels in start  crawling through the walls  this is how Tim found them actually Connor surrounded by down to agents calling out for the baby and a weird laugh floating around them

“I lost the baby”

“ how can you lose a baby”

“ well Tim it's easy you see I was carrying him I had to put him down had to knock all these fuck**s out and I turn back around and I can't find him he's like he's in the.. W a l l s”

Thankfully at this time to stop the self destruction sequence got all evidence he needed and spent 30 minutes helping Connor get the baby at the walls promising to take him to his daddy after all this They check the baby over to make sure that he wasn't hurt anywhere and took the weird  collar that ended up being a belt for Danny

 And radioed the Watchtower saying that they needed an extraction at this location because they found a   Cadmus facility working  with a previously unknown organization that tried to experiment on a child that is calling for his dad  

 the JL member that picked up was Flash and started to explain that they were unable to extract them at the moment cuz  they're being blackmailed by someone named RedHood  Help find their child but they'll send someone out as soon as they can as soon as those words were  out of flash’s mouth he was pushed out of the way by someone  wearing a leather jacket and a crude red helmet  “damn right f*** you replacement ain't nobody moving until I find my son back and if I find him with a hair out of place so help me I'll burn this world into the ground  starting with-”

  at that moment Red Hood was cut off by a cheerful voice yelling “Daddy!”

 Red Hood did a complete 180 and started baby talking the child in Connor's arm, “ Hi Danny! Daddy's  been looking all over for you are you okay are you hurt did the Weirdos take you who took you  daddy will come get you as soon as he can okay?”

Back at the Watchtower the hero stood by and amazement seeing the 6'2 man that previously  threatened them in detail how he was going to hurt all of them if they didn't find his child which they would have done without any threats by the way start baby talking a child in the arms of Superboy who's standing next to Robin with a burning building in the back

Irving - From a military family and a whistleblower. What made him start investigating Lumon? and how does his Outie know Burt?

Helly - The jawdropping revelation that she'a an Eagan. The happy office photos were of manipulated situations but Helena seemed genuinely excited to put her faith in her family's work. She is a fascinating contradiction.

Mark - She's alive!!! The tension that built around him piecing together his Outie's life while trying to get a moment alone to talk to his sister still had me on the edge of my seat.

The rewatch has got me even more hyped for s2. Anyone have any theories about it? I'd love to hear them.

And I think that's the reason why his 'humour' these first 3 seasons just hasn't landed for me like it used to. These are some follow up questions that I have been thinking about after your story Hold onto Hope was posted. Because it is getting close to Christmas I always think about the way the main characters spent Christmas day in the GCU, which are some of the saddest Christmas day scenes that I have read about in my fictional reading history. Will it be a GCU book if Luca has a happy Christmas Day? I was wondering if have you thought about how Ilya prepared for Christmas in TLG, was he more anxious about giving Shane the photo or asking him to go to Bood's? I can imagine the excitement of him looking for the photographer, getting that photo and framing it? I would love to know whether you are interested in knowing what Ilya's POV was before and during Shane's stay at his home in Ottawa and at his parents home up until Ilya asked Shane to go to Bood's party? Did Ilya express his anxiety/angst by The whole Christmas day so far had been weird, and sort of tense. They’d been sniping at each other since Shane had arrived at Ilya’s yesterday morning. Chapter Twenty-Two, The Long Game. This is another interesting thing I would love to know your opinion from Ilya's POV about Before they’d left for Shane’s parents’, Ilya had grumbled something about giving Shane his present later, and Shane didn’t know what that meant. Ilya hadn’t seemed excited about it, that was for sure. Chapter Twenty-Two, The Long Game. There was a story written about how Yuna and David got in touch with Ilya after Shane spoke with his mother but I do not remember reading any stories that are from Ilya's POV before and during Shane's stay in Ottawa for Christmas from TLG. I can't believe Baby, You Can Have It has nearly reached the halfway mark and I am looking forward to what will happen to Iliana and Shane's personal and professional lives and other stories that you would like to post.

Under the cut for a long response and some spoilers!

Thank you for your questions! I'm trying to work on a fic currently that's a happy Christmas for Shane and Ilya!! Their first as a married couple! We'll see how it goes with writing, as I've been very busy and stressed, but the idea is for it to be happy and sweet!!! As for the Christmas in TLG, I think about Ilya's POV about it a lot. I think he was super excited to find the photographer and get that picture of him and Shane. I think he was all in and then started having doubts and second thoughts and catastrophizing. I think Ilya was preparing himself to be hurt by Shane (because he was already hurting) and was short and snippy with him because of that. I think Ilya wanted so much but didn't know how to express it and was afraid that if he did, he would be shut down (since Shane had done that to him in the past). I think he was very in his own head about everything and was quick to anger when he was "proven right." In Shane's defense, this wasn't anything they had talked about and prepared for. I think Ilya sometimes expected Shane to read his mind but it doesn't work that way. Those chapters make me so sad for them. While I know that they're okay, since we get their HEA, it's still so difficult to see them both so upset, and then so scared of losing each other. Maybe I'll write Ilya's POV of that Christmas some day, but to be quite honest, it makes me very sad... I hope that answered your question!

Election Talk

With a grin, Zeke tapped on his phone screen, securing his vote for the running. “Voting time~,” he said enthusiastically.

Maggie turned her head, “...Voting? For JW?”

“Yup.”

She ripped out her phone. Right near the top was the voting post—who would be the next JW Student Council President?

The lineup…wasn’t exactly great. A boy who only liked to spread gossip and cause trouble, a girl who was, frankly, rather obnoxious and self-centered, and another boy who she knew she had seen around, but was drawing a complete blank on his identity. He had joined the ballot pretty late in the game though, so she could only imagine that he wasn’t doing well.

Anyone in a PV high school was allowed to vote, but she didn’t really have a candidate she wanted to win for the better of the whole district. In her mind, it would go South either way. The troublemaker, the narcissist, or the boy everyone would likely ignore in favour of the “Revolutionist” (who also just liked to cause trouble). “...Are you voting?”

“Yup. Voted for Blake.”

Her eyes met his. “Really?”

“Mm-hm”

“Blake Elwyn?”

“Mm-hm.”

She shook her head in disbelief. “The gossiper?”

“Hey, you must have seen the threads about how he’s a decent person beneath the weekly papers,” he explained, trying to cover his ass. “It’s just high school drama. It’s up to other people if they wanna believe random gossip or not. I think he does have some kinda better interest in the districts though.” Truthfully, he just wanted to watch Blake cause chaos. Him actually doing his job would just be an unexpected bonus.

Maggie scrolled through all the posts rallying towards one candidate or another. The photo of Blake and one of the VP student council members popped up in her scrolling. “...I suppose. I’m suspicious of his intentions though.”

“You wouldn’t be Maggie if you weren’t.”

She shot him a look, at which he simply laughed.

“I’m sure it’s fine.”

“I wouldn’t be so sure,” she replied. “Mateo should keep an eye on them both.” Not that she thought Eri was anything but faithful, but she did think the boy was clearly very susceptible to whatever Blake was feeding her.

“Hey, like I said before: everyone has a dark side. Blake just makes his obvious.”

“Why not at least vote for a candidate with the least darkness?”

“How do you know the other two don’t have dark sides?”

Meeting his relaxed gaze again, Maggie felt her words catch in her throat.

“Well, we’ve already seen one of the other candidates’. And that wasn’t too pretty either, was it?”

Though she wasn’t present for it, she remembered reading over the feed and getting caught up on the drama during the Winter Ball. It was not, in fact, very pretty at all.

“Don’t be so scared of the darkness, Maggie.”

“I’m not ‘scared’ of it. I just don’t want to associate with that nonsense.”

“Well, what would you do if I had a dark side?”

She felt her stomach turn as Zeke threw her a sly smirk.

“Or maybe, one of your friends? One of your closest friends?” He casually paced around her. “Your parents? The Student Council? Heck, maybe even you have a dark side you’re trying to run away from.”

Her mouth refused to open. She didn’t have a “dark side”, actually. There was no sinister deed or dastardly affiliation she had been hiding from everyone around her.

Well…now that she thought about it, there was one dark secret she hid, but it didn’t even truly pertain to her. And suddenly, the words lingered in her mind. ‘Your parents?’

“I’m just teasing, of course,” he said, after waiting for a response.

She didn’t reply, still stuck in her own head.

“Or maybe…I’m not,” he continued. “Maybe there is something dark we’re all hiding. But is it worse or better than Ana’s? Would you forgive all of us if you knew our truths?”

Hesitantly, she said, “I...I don’t know.”

“Why wouldn’t you?”

Her mouth clamped shut.

“You care about us, don’t you?”

She gave no answer.

“...Well?”

“Of course I do.”

“Then would you forgive us? In a world of deceit and lies, would you forgive the people who wanted what was best for you?”

Mouth twitching, she gulped.

“Or maybe…” he chuckled. “Is this a little too heavy for a student council election?”

“...Are you hiding something from me?”

“Maybe I am.” Staring into her eyes, he kept up that same smirk. But eventually he broke, and began laughing lightheartedly. “You’re funny.”

“I’m serious.”

“Well if I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret anymore, hm?”

Her eyes narrowed. “You’re not making any sense now.”

“To Sense or not to Sense, that is the question.”

“You’re ridiculous.”

“And you’re adorable.”

“...Why do you like to tease me so much?”

“Because you’re fun to tease.”

With a sigh, she rolled her eyes. “Honestly.” Turning her attention back to her phone, she scrolled through again.

But Zeke’s words lingered in her mind. “Don’t be so scared of the darkness, Maggie. In a world of deceit and lies, would you forgive the people who wanted what was best for you?” …Would she? There was already so much she felt she had looked past, even if it was minor, because she knew it was for the better of everyone. But, even so, there was a point when things went too far, right? But if it was someone like Ginger, or Kam, or the twins, or her parents, or—…surely whatever it was, it wasn’t so bad that she couldn’t forgive them, right?

Following up those thoughts was “Well, what would you do if I had a dark side?” However, she quickly buried that while thinking, ‘Nonsense…I’m starting to think he’s too silly to harbour a ‘dark side’.’

Even so, right now, someone she cared about did have one. Someone whose posts ended up on her feed here and there, to which she was initially appalled by, but now pained her every time she swiped past.

She had to take action about it. Zeke is always being silly…but maybe he’s helped her finally reach the conclusion that could put her worries to rest.

Ah… Jaehyun is really an oddball. Vampire house was so hilarious that I spent nearly an hour trying to finish it cos I kept on replaying. Jae’s facials are coming out again, the exaggerated winks, the flirty comments, this is what I wanted to see and this is what I missed. All the members were great as well, the poems, especially the ones with the lyrics and words that were fit randomly in, like Mark’s suddenly proclamation of 2taes wedding. Jae and Woo had my favs in terms of actual poetry.

I need to finish the Vampire ep 2 as well, I will comeback to the poems later.

It is all but speculations on my part. It's hard to be sure. So just let's agree that we are theorizing here, and I can end up wrong with my hopes for a duet or an MC gig.

I suspect that there is a plan of slowly bringing JaeDo back because the changes feel gradual, you know? Jae and Do are allowed to play in the same team and stand together on group photos, then they get edited less, then neos start to say shipper jokes, then Mnet changes Taedo to Jaedo thumbnails. It also feels like neos are more active about pushing the two towards each other, like Jungwoo passing the camera to Doyoung to make him say something to Jaehyun.

At the same time, JaeDo are not really in the front. We pay close attention to their interactions, but if you look at everyone, there is YuMark, YuWoo, DoWoo, DoHyuk, JaeYong, JaeIl, etc. If before the absence of JaeDo was obvious, the editors and the boys tried too hard, then now it's "normal". The way I and many shippers who wrote me with "Why are they hiding so much?" question expected it to be. Everyone is cozy, why can't JaeDo be?

Finally, they can.

I'd like the return of the puppy Jaehyun and handsy Doyoung, I'm getting greedy.

Hello Detective Chapter 71

Pairing: Sherlock x Reader

A/N: This is my first time writing in months oof, but I’ve had these next few chapters outlined for a while so I’m really excited about this idea and where it’s going.

“Wow,” Charles said in shock as he took a sip of his martini. Sitting across from him in a dark secluded corner of the expensive restaurant you explained everything to him and how your life had changed over the last few weeks.

“Are you really surprised? You know how crazy my life is. This can’t be that much of a stretch.” You chuckled. Looking back, shocking things happened to you all the time. Serial killers, faked deaths, assassins.

“I just can’t believe you got married.” He shook his head. You were no longer the cold hearted grieving girl he once knew.

“Actually I’m kind of shocked about that one too. Everything happened so fast.” You gazed off out the window. You’d gone from married to fake broken up so fast that it almost gave you whiplash.

“Are you ok with all of this?” Charles asked with a raised brow, uncertain.

“It’s our jobs, I know it’s never going to be easy. You and I have each done worse for a case.” You tried to convince him, and maybe yourself.

“God I know,” He almost shivered, “Remember Barcelona?”

“Don’t remind me.” You cringed, shaking your head, before looking up and smiling at the man across from you. The two of you sure had some wild adventures.

“So when’s the last time you saw him?” He asked, changing the subject.

“Hm, guess it’s been about three weeks. We texted for the first two, but he told me he’d have to cut off contact. Guess a break in the case. Hopefully this will all be over soon and things can go back to normal.” You said, taking a sip of your wine.

“Our lives are never normal Y/N,” Charles teased, “How’s work been? I mean, obviously can’t be that great, I’m not there.”

“Ask me something else.” You groaned, stabbing at your plate as you pictured Magnussen’s face.

“O come on, do you need me to kill someone for you?” He asked, and you knew he wasn't joking.

“That’s so sweet, Charles, really chivalrous of you.” You smirked, placing a hand over your heart.

“You know I’ll do it darling, drop of a hat.” He sipped his drink once more.

“Oh I know you will. Work’s fine. I like it, I do. I hate the politics of it though.” You shrug.

“We need to get a gun back in your hand and get you back to MI6.” He said.

“What, do you not like your new partner?” You asked with a smirk, knowing he didn’t play well with others. Hence the whole reason you were assigned to work with him in the first place.

“Well they’re not you darling, so obviously.” He flattered you.

“Do you want a desk job at MI5?” You teased.

“Oh shoot me.” He scoffed, causing you to laugh.

You’d missed this, the shenanigans you two got into. Of course you were happy to be catching up with him again, you just wish it wasn’t under these circumstances. You were thankful to have someone to confide in though.

“Why don’t you come see the office tomorrow, I’m free in the morning. Take a break from the River House.” You suggested, tempting him with your puppy dog eyes.

“I might...” He smiled, knowing he could never say no to you. His voice trailed off as you noticed your waiter approaching your table.

“Are you ready for the check, sir?” The waiter asked, only making eye contact with Charles, not even acknowledging you.

“Yes please.” Charles took the leather booklet from the man who promptly turned and left. You reached across the table to snatch it out of his hand but he pulled away out of your reach.

“A gentleman never lets a lady pay.” He shook his head.

“Well we both know you’re not a gentleman. And this lady promised you dinner, for you know, saving the entire country from a nuclear explosion.” You argued.

“If you insist.” He smirked, bringing the check closer, now within your reach.

“I do.” You snatched it, slipping your card in without even looking at the price. Perks of the new job. Hell if Mycroft had told you how much you were gonna make you would have gone off to work with him a long time ago.

As Charles walked you back to your flat, you slipped your arm under his as you noticed the photographer on the other side of the street. They seemed to be camped out with a direct view of your house. Of course you pretended not to notice them.

“What do you say Gregson, gonna invite me up for old times sake?” Charles smirked as you’d made it to your front door.

“I say, we’ve got eyes on us at your six and my husband needs the world thinking we broke up. So you’re going to kiss me on the cheek and then I will invite you inside.” You smiled sweetly, you had to make these photos look convincing. Surely they’d be on the front page come tomorrow morning.

“Have you always been this bossy?” He smiled, rolling his eyes and slowly moving in to kiss you on the cheek, giving the photographer time to make sure he got a shot.

“Of course I have.” You whispered back with a chuckle.

“Happy?” He smiled, pulling away.

“Come on, my couch misses you sleeping on it. And I’ve got some Glenlivet 25 with your name on it.” You slipped your arm around his back and pulled him into the flat, no doubt giving the photographers a couple more shots.

“Oh Gregson, you know me so well.” He smirked.

The next morning you were giving Charles the grand tour of the Thames House, MI5 HQ. You were hoping for a calm, quiet, peaceful morning. Of course in your world that was never likely.

As you’d made it to the top floor of the building and stepped into your corner office Charles immediately strode in like he owned the place.

“So this is your office, hmm, I could get used to this.” He smirked as he plopped himself down into your desk chair and spun to face the windows. They were floor to ceiling and made up the whole wall. Of course they were bullet proof for security purposes.

“You wouldn’t last a week.” You joked as you approached the window and admired your beautiful view of the river.

Suddenly, you felt your phone buzz in your pocket, you were pulling it out as you turned back to Charles and chuckled at his behavior.

Who knew a world class assassin could be won over by a cover office and a swivel chair. Your face went pale as you glanced at the text that lit up your lock screen.

911 Barts

“Oh my god,” You muttered.

“What is it?” Charles asked, he knew it was serious from the look on your face.

“911 Barts Hospital.” You turned the phone so he could see as you snatched your purse off of your desk.

“Come on, I’ll drive.” Bass jumped into action, leading you out the door and down to the garage as your mind wandered. Something was wrong. John wouldn’t have texted you if it wasn’t. Was it Mrs. Hudson? Was it Sherlock?

As you burst into the lab that the receptionist had directed you towards you heard the hard slap of flesh on flesh as Molly’s hand came down onto Sherlock’s face. He was alive, hell he looked like shit but he was alive. He’d told you this case would take a physical toll on him, you knew it could mean a relapse.

“Oo, can I go next?” You ask, annoyed as you stood in the doorway, Charles lingering behind you.

“Y/N? What are you doing here?” Sherlock spat, matching your energy, making sure to hold up his end of the charade. You saw his head tilt to view the man standing behind you. He almost looked intimidated for a moment, as his face flashed in a “That’s Charles?” sort of manner.

“John texted me ‘911’, I thought it would be important, I was on a date. Clearly I can see we’ve wasted our time.” You retorted, crossing your arms as you stepped into the room. This was as close as you’ve gotten to Sherlock in nearly a month.

“I’m confused.” John chimed in, furrowing his brows as he looked between you and Sherlock.

“We broke up.” Sherlock explained with an eye roll, as if it wasn’t obvious.

“You’re joking.” John almost laughed, not thinking he was serious. The hint of laughter left his lips as he looked back at you and Charles, “You’re not joking. So you two...”

You nodded as Charles stepped to your side to introduce himself.

“Charles Bass,” He shook John’s hand with a smirk. For an extra touch he slipped his hand to the small of your back.

“Right.” John nodded, still confused as to how so much had happened while he was away on his honeymoon. To him it seemed like his whole world had turned upside down.

“Maybe one more slap for good measure, Molly.” You smiled at the girl who looked just as shocked as John at the news of the break up. Glancing down you noticed the missing ring on her ringer, and hoped she wouldn’t get any ideas.

“If you were anywhere near this kind of thing again you could have called, you could have talked to me.” John moved towards Sherlock, obviously he wasn’t clean. Rock bottom always meant a certain 7% solution. You hated how it always came back to this.

“Oh, please, do relax. This is all for a case.” Sherlock rolled his eyes at John’s scolding.

“Isn’t it always. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that one.” You scoffed.

“What kind of case would need you doing this?” John asked, still not amused.

“I might as well ask you why you’ve started cycling to work?” Sherlock said to John, trying to change the subject as you glanced at the wrinkles in John’s shirt and followed his deduction.

“No, we’re not playing this game.” John shook his head.

“I drove all the way here for this?” You raised a brow, annoyed.

Sherlock looked to you as John had his back turned. A smirk lingered on his lips, he was enjoying this little game. That or he was still high. You had to admit, it almost was fun, and a bit like role playing. The smirk dropped as he put back on his mask and turned to John.

“Quite recently, I’d say, you’re very determined about it.” He just loved to get under John’s skin.

“Not interested.” John said, and you nodded in agreement as you turned to walk back towards the door.

“I am. Ow!” You recognized a voice coming from behind Sherlock and turned around at the sound of his yelp. You tilted your head to see around him, your eyes landing on a familiar face.

“Wiggins? What’re you doing here?” You asked, your brows furrowed in genuine confusion.

“How do you know him?” Sherlock asked with hostility, but something in his voice told you he was scared. He didn’t like not knowing things, and he couldn’t comprehend how you could possibly know this man. You weren’t supposed to know him, this wasn’t part of the ruse.

“We’re old friends,” You said sarcastically, rolling your eyes, “What do you think?”. His eyes widened in realization. Well there’s anothering thing the two of you had in common, same dealer. Although for you it was more of a one time thing.

“Is it his shirt?” Wiggins butt in, changing the subject and breaking the unintentional staring contest you and Sherlock were having.

“I’m sorry?” Sherlock turned back to Wiggins.

“Well, it’s the creases, innit?” Wiggins said, “The two creases down the front? It’s been recently folded but it's not new. You must have dressed in a hurry this morning. So all your shirts must be kept like that. But why? Maybe ‘cause you cycle to work every morning, shower when you get there, and then dress in the clothes you brought with you. You keep your shirts folded, ready to pack.” He said, shocking nearly everyone in the room.

John and Mary were so focused on Wiggins that you and Sherlock were able to share a quick smile, almost a laugh. It quickly faded to ensure no one else noticed.

“Not bad...” Sherlock said.

“There you go, a new toy to play with. Have fun,” You scowled at Sherlock as you made your way towards the door once more, “Molly, Watsons, Wiggins, it’s been a pleasure.” You nodded at the rest of them, ignoring Sherlock as you left the room.

As you walked down the hall, you weren’t sure whether to feel angry or happy that you at least got to see your husband and know that he’s alive.

“Well that was unexpected.” Charles said, breaking your train of thought as you walked back to the car.

“Welcome to my world.” You scoffed, a ‘quiet morning’ was unheard of for you.

Just as you began the drive back to your office your phone lit up with a call from Mycroft, causing you to roll your eyes.

“My brother’s drug habit is about to hit the newspaper. Did you know about this?” He asked, and if you didn’t know any better it sounded like an accusation.

“Well that’s not really my problem anymore is it?” You retorted.

You’d spent the last few weeks convincing him that you and Sherlock had broken up. Making sure to mention plans with Charles more in his presence to really sell it. Luckily after some initial shock and a brief conversation with his brother, he believed you. But surely he wouldn’t think you would leak a relapse to the press for some sort of petty revenge.

“Did you know?” He asked once more, more forcefully.

“No, I just found out. He’s at Saint Barts, John texted me.” You explained, rolling your eyes once more.

“I don’t think I’ll be able to block all of these articles. Will you meet me at Baker Street, I may need back up.” He asked, but you knew it wasn’t really a question. You tapped Charles on the shoulder and mouthed ‘Baker Street’ to him and spun your finger to instruct him to turn the car around. He nodded and complied.

“Should I bring my gun?” You asked sarcastically. What kind of back up did he think he was going to need, it’s his baby brother for christ sake.

“I don’t think that will be necessary.” He said, unamused.

“Well if you’re not wanting me to crack any skulls I’m not sure why I have to tag along.” You said, you had a very certain skill set and if he wasn’t looking to utilize it, there was really no point beyond moral support.

“Don’t make me order you.” He threatened and you scoffed, as if he could.

“Mycroft, I don’t want to have to see him. Surely you can understand why. It’s not my job to look after him anymore.” You pleaded.

“No, but it is mine. So you will be there.” He said sternly, and you sighed and hung up.

Of course you had already instructed Charles to turn around and head to Baker Street, you just wanted to push back against Mycroft a little to make this whole break up seem more convincing.

When you pulled up Mycroft was waiting outside. Charles got out and made his way around the car to open the door for you. You leaned back against the closed door as you smiled sadly at Charles.

“Thank you, sorry your tour gott cut short.” You smiled, making sure to keep your voice at a whisper so Mycroft didn’t overhear anything.

“Oh my morning was much more interesting, you’re one hell of an actress darling.” He whispered back with a smirk, placing one hand next to you on the car and leaning closer casually.

“You’re just figuring that out? By the way, we have a very important audience right now.” You informed him.

“That the brother?” He asked, and you nodded.

“Then we’ll just have to be convincing,” Bass said, leaning down to leave a chaste kiss on your lips. It wasn’t the first time you’d kissed for a case, public displays of affection make people uncomfortable and tend to prove very useful in spywork.

“I’ll call you later.” He waved with a wink as you walked towards Mycroft. You smiled and waved back with a nod.

Mycroft raised a brow, his face in its usual look of disgust.

“Well that was unpleasant to watch.” He said once you were now standing in front of him.

“I told you I was busy and I don’t want to be here, you don’t get to judge.” You scolded, raising your finger at him. You turned to face the famous black door of 221 Baker Street, realizing how long it’s been since you’d been here.

“No, but I do get to say I was right.” He smirked, causing you to furrow your brows and turn back to him.

“About what?” You asked, genuinely confused.

“I always knew there was more between you and 007.” He said, with the tilt of his head, as if he took pleasure in being right. Of course he wasn’t really right.

“Spare me, Mycroft. Let's just get this over with.” You rolled your eyes and crossed the threshold into 221B, an eerie feeling starting to settle in. Your gut told you not to walk up those seventeen steps, it warned you, it screamed ‘Danger Ahead”, but of course you didn’t listen. You never did.
