Jason (rubbing Damian's chubby cheeks with his hand): Tiny baby. Precious. Soft. You are a cute baby.

Baby Damian smiled then giggled.

Jason: I can't believe you share his DNA, or her DNA or her father's DNA.

Jason booped Damian's nose making the baby giggle and cover his face.

Jason: All right, got that out my system. Let's go play in the dirt.

Jason picked up Damian and took him outside.

Jason: Battled my brother, taking care of my dad's secret son, getting paid. It's gonna be a good year.

Damian (happy): Ah!

Jason: Thank you.

As per usual, it’s DP crossover with (probably) DC, although you could probably adjust it for other fandoms

A little kid and his mother are trick or treating in another city, perhaps at some kind of event rather than knocking on doors, and the kid is dressed as Phantom. It’s very adorable, with his little ghost-shaped bucket and clearly homemade and already stained costume—listen, white only works if you can just fly over street grime or phase it out of your clothes—and his slightly I’ll fitting wig. The kid is SO happy to be out and about dressed as his favorite, and maybe even showed it off to Phantom back in Amity Park before his family left.

The hero, insert whoever you wish here, is probably in civvies and just enjoying the event. The kid, meanwhile, is so glad when people ask who he is so he can explain, and so- the hero gets to hear ALL ABOUT the local town hero who is probably pretty small time despite the kid’s clearly exaggerated stories. The hero certainly never heard of him, but the kid’s mom confirms that Phantom really was the town hero, despite some mixed reviews of the poor guy.

“Did you manage to show him your costume?” the hero asks.

“Yeah! We went down to the cemetery to leave flowers and I got to show him my costume.”

Wait. Cemetery? Maybe it was part of theme, because Phantom had to be named that for a reason, but… it sounded like…

The kid ignores the suddenly VERY still hero and instead turns to his mom. “Momma, do you think we should bring him candy? He doesn’t get to trick or treat like we do, and I can work super hard to get him a bunch!”

The kid’s mom just smiles. “We could, but maybe we should bring him something homemade. I bet he’d like something more filling, teen boys like him have a hollow leg.”

The kid wrinkles his nose. “Like Vernie with the pizza bagels?”

“Like your cousin, yes. We can make some cinnamon rolls and take them to his memorial, maybe bring some of the apples from your grandpa’s garden…”

The hero is pretty much forgotten as the two-part family wanders off, not quite intentionally forgetting the hero is there so much as the hero somewhat accidentally ended the conversation when they just froze and didn’t ask anything further.

Not that the hero didn’t want to. But they’d learn something very serious.

One—there was a small town hero they’d never heard of. Two—that hero was apparently a teen. Third—most pressingly, the teen hero was both beloved enough to have kids dressing up as him and dead enough to have a grave.

This… might require some phone calls.

if you guys havent read mutually assured destruction by venomouschocolate on ao3, it is one of my favourite krisnix centric fics and i cannot recommend it enough. its so. raw. and emotionally devastating. i started thinking about this paragraph again and had to draw fanart for it

just. the aftermath of everything. the simultaneous pain of relief and the bottomless pit in your stomach when you realise what it all means for you. so much you cannot express in words. so much grief STILL. when you should be celebrating. fucks me up, quite frankly. joyous!

sugawara knows you’re sick before you do.

he’d had that superpower for years now, and he had it down to a science, practically knowing right when an illness is about to sweep through his classroom and school.

you, however, did not heed his warnings of taking your extra vitamins…

“can you hit me with your car?”

sugawara raised a mildly concerned brow as he cut his eyes at you from the couch. “… why now?”

he really knew better than to ask that question, considering he knew the answer, but there he was, watching as you shuffled into the kitchen, in desperate search of coffee. full of sniffles, you groaned, “to put me out of my misery.”

at the sound of your congestion, despair, and the coffee maker, he perked up and quickly rounded the corner into the kitchen. “hey, hey,” his voice is calm as he smoothly grabbed your favorite mug from the cabinet around you and placed it on the counter, “let’s get you some tea instead of coffee, okay? you sound awful.”

“do i? i hadn’t noticed,” you deadpanned, your eyes glassy and nose slightly red from rubbing it.

despite the screaming temptation to tell you he told you so, he couldn’t bring himself to do it, not when you looked that pitiful. so instead, before you could even argue (because he knew you would try), he ushered you back into your shared bed with a sigh.

“kou—”

he dramatically put his finger to your lips. “sweetheart, you need rest,” he said, helping you slip back under the covers, “are sleepy meds okay?”

you couldn’t even argue, really—you felt like death itself. you nodded, looking up at him from your fetal position in bed.

you watched as your love left the room and returned a few minutes later with a steaming cup of tea. “picked out your favorite,” he said as he sets it down on the nightstand, “and i’ll go ahead and make you that soup you like when you’re sick.”

a smile crept onto your face, and you gave him a look. “and…?”

he knew that face. “i’ve already called us both out from work, so we can watch movies and sleep all day.”

you grabbed a tissue and blew your nose. “i knew i kept you around for a reason.”

“yeah yeah, i love you too.”

and that entire day, sugawara held you close, braving through the trainwreck-sounding snores, the drool from your deep nap, and the snot when you sneezed—only being slightly grossed out. his hand would gently rub your back, his fingers gently tracing the curvature of your spine as you both watched movie classics, where you’d naturally fall asleep about ten minutes in. and every few hours, he would make you eat—even if it was something small—just so you wouldn’t get sick from the medicine.

playing nurse was fun for sugawara, being able to dote on you with little to no arguments of “i can do it myself” every time. because while he knew you could, he wanted to be the one to take care of you.

but of course, he woke up sick the next day as well (because that was just you both’s luck), so you both stayed in bed another day, taking care of each other in between sniffles and coughs. in sickness and in health. ᢉ𐭩

War Day

After Danny was crowned he decided that the truce party had to have a counterpart, after all ghosts became friends mostly through battles, and he assumed that one day letting them fight wouldn't be a bad thing, it might even help stir up some grudges.

This was how High King Phantom, ruler of the infinite realms inaugurated the long-awaited "Day of War" or just "War Day", a moment when the Infinite Realms naturally became chaotic; alliances were allowed but it was not advisable to trust on them.

And of course, you were free not to participate, you just had to put a blue or green band on your arm, or a little green clock in the backyard of your haunt so the ghosts would leave you, your haunt or your territory in general alone.

Danny thought of it as some kind of giant paintball day, only with no paintballs and full of aggressive ghosts with various powers, it was especially exciting since everyone knew there would be no hard feelings after it and they would end up in the king's palace eating sweets as little children.

They usually celebrated it on a day close to any celebration related to death in human world, when their powers were especially powerful and therefore everyone could have more fun.

The problem was that since Danny had human friends (liminals?) who came to play, they didn't really consider it weird when some humans fell into the realms by a natural portal, and since they weren't wearing any blue or green arm bands they were definitely in the game.

For their part, the family of bats along with some League allies found themselves literally standing on a field of war where everyone seemed to be going for the kill, Jason was strangely excited about it, as was Damian.

When Dick asked one of the locals for an explanation, a guy on a motorbike threw him into the air laughing and yelled "LET THE HUNGER GAMES BEGIN!"

And last but certainly not least we have slightly candid polaroid based merch for you all! With the amount of photo-taking we have you do as the MC in game, it's only right we have merch of this, no? At the moment, we only have the LI's polaroid to show off- but we will also have polaroid for Cameron, Deja, and Reynah if you're interested in them! Since we're unable to tease those quite yet, we can share what their polaroid will entail, which includes:

Cameron drawing on a window at a local Cafe, snug as a bug in their winter attire

Deja waiting in the city to catch ride to her summer internship

and Reynah enjoying the most of Winter by making a snowman that's much taller than her

Each polaroid would be reminiscent of a photo card, so backers grabbing these can put it on the back of their phone case or in their wallet if you desire!
