Context: second delivery to Subway Bosses Ingo AND Emmet, wherein it's not an innocent but inconvenient mistake that forces Edna to go through the battle subway to deliver a package but Emmet actively trying to cope with his brother's disappearance.

He is not doing it well.

Wanted to imply that he's actively colorless and seeping grayscale because his black/white life has been shredded and he can't cope with colors.

Edna invites him to sit and grieve at his own pace while sitting next to him as a relative stranger. Sympathetic but no real pressure to experience his grief in a way that won't hurt other people who also love and miss his brother.

"I am Emmet! A-And I do not wish to derail this battle for any reason! E-Even if... It's just me... I want it to be and Ingo. But it's... It's not. Not even or..."

"Oh, Hun. You're the conductor, not me. You can derail this... Train for as long or as hard as you want. I know this track doesn't feel right for you without him... Ya wanna sit, hun? Let's sit for a little. We can battle later... Delivery can wait. It's okay to not be okay. I wouldn't expect you to be anything else in this situation."

They have a heart to heart and she tries to figure out this delivery or if there's anything she can do to help.

persona 3 reload came out yesterday so Naturally i was obligated to finally do a finished piece with my silly velvet room attendants submas au. alt versions, lore info, and misc doodles under the cut o__o (attendant related p5 spoilers mentioned). also sorry for the eyestrain.

protags they attend to are Fellow Twins hilda and hilbert who always just get referred to as 'passenger(s)'. velvet room manifestation is the inside of a subway car, no i havent worked out what that symbolizes to hilda and hilbert, dont worry about it. but i think whether its visibly in motion or not wld depend on the protags' mental state, one side of the windows for hilda and one for hilbert. mostly dark empty with no visual movement outside the windows w/ maybe a flickering station light somewhere or a visibly blocked tunnel for when theyre feeling stuck in life, default would be like a well lit platform outside of the window with faceless shadow people walking around, how crowded it is depends on their progress with social links. high speed through the tunnels with their half of the car rocking violently when there's high stress super dire stuff going on, steady movement when theyre making progress with something, etc etc

their brassards HOPEFULLY translate to 'down' (χάμω) and 'up' (πάνω) in greek??? i wanted smth like caroline and justine's hats but also not The Same and uhhh yknow. persona 3 and greek mythology are pretty :handshake:.

i dont wanna steal margaret's eldest sibling clout so i think physically ingo and emmet would be younger than her but only barely. margaret is literally the only attendant i can see being physically over like 35 and i need sbms to be mid thirties at like the bare minimum. theyre highkey disturbed whenever lavenza willingly splits herself back into caroline and justine. weirded out by the other 'twins' in general bc they're not even Real twins. they gatekeep being twins. if anyone asks "so are you guys also just two halves of one person" it will be the most offensive thing you could ever say to them. elizabeth and emmet bully theodore together. ingo doesnt dislike theodore but just kind of forgets he exists because the twins are always being like "my brother, [name] (pauses and remembers theodore), i mean, ONE of my brothers,"

emmet is very :handshake: with elizabeth while ingo is very :handshake: with margaret. they both have their own fave sisters whoops. (sorry lavenza). in any sort of 'dancing game' scenario theyre both awkward as hell. very theodore core in general with emmet having some of the elizabeth vibes of just 'i am just never going to stop making random jerky body movements' ingo is a BIT more stiff. but like in general i think theo's way of life and elizabeth's aria of the soul have pretty good ingo and emmet vibes respectively. if i ever learn model editing beyond texture replacement its so over for my mmds.

i love igor dearly but i think since there are Two of them they can kinda handle stuff on their own while igor helps with Other persona protags in their respective rooms? emmet says shit like "YEAH FUCK IGOR THIS IS OUR LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!" and ingos like "emmet be nice thats still our boss and the only reason he let us be in charge is because hes busy".

ingo handles all persona fusion stuff and emmet does storage/organization/other misc stuff and gives you p3 elizabeth styled quests. they can both be social linked because i say so. emmet is justice arcana and ingo is judgement. emmets quests are the only way or at least the main way to increase your social link with him and if you dont finish one of his Special Request ones you lose your link with him. one of the special requests is to take him and ingo to see a real subway station 100% because theyve never seen one.

of all the other velvet rooms, they like the p4 one the most because the inside of the limo is the closest to the subway car they're familiar with but i think theyd like the p3 one too for the possible rocking motion of the elevator eternally going up

my pokemon brainrot is big and now im picturing ingo and emmet but like, in fullmetal alchemist,,,taking the place of ed and al, maybe with elesa in the place of winry? that's some real angst :)

Imagine emmet and ingo trying desperately to bring back one of their parents, and failing, and now one of them (i'd say ingo bc he gets all the angst, but lets let emmet have a turn) is without a body, and the other had lost an arm and a leg. and it didn't work.

Imagine team plasma in the place of Father and the Homunculi; N might be Greed, who will eventually turn over to the side of good, but that will not be for some time. the rest of the homunculi are members of team plasma, too.

Imagine the state alchemists being almost all the gym leaders. which one convinces ingo and emmet to join the military? who is their closest friend, who will die in a telephone booth after digging too deep?

who will take the place of major general armstrong, who leads a force to be reckoned with but uses the assumptions of others to their own advantage? who will take that place, and lead the advance against the enemy in the end?

who will become so focused on keeping a title that they will commit unimaginable horrors to keep it? who will deem themselves a god, and see fit to combine man and creature into something horrific and in pain, only to be struck down by a vengeful soul who aches for justice to be done to their people?

who will be the teacher, to take in these children and to teach them the things they cannot teach themselves? who will hold them close and attempt to shield them from that which aims to kill?

I dunno, but I feel like it could be a fun time, don't you?

Well that was anticlimactic.

I am Emmet. It was verrry difficult to break the drone. Whatever it is made of is sturdy. We managed, though. It freaked out and opened a portal. Maybe it went to go get repairs. We followed it here.

It doesn't look like the simulated island. And it doesn't look like Petrichor V. We are standing- I am standing on a floating chunk of rock. Ingo is… also floating. Since when could you do that…?

Nevermind. It is not important, nope! What is important is that we figure out where we are now. And what we do. We are still not in range of the Safe Travels.

I am Emmet. I am tired of this stupid poison air. It is dumb and annoying and everywhere. My suit! Should protect me! From environmental hazards! But whatever this is does not care about things like airtight space suits.

Yup. But at least it only happens when we activate these odd beacons. They are sending some kind of signal. I know that sounds verrry dumb and reckless. But nothing else here does anything.

There are these weird round containers, but opening them feels like getting hit by a train. What kind of box hurts you to open it? All that for a weird bug that infected one of my eelektross, and an alien device. Ingo tried to grab it, but I stopped him. Something about it felt malicious. Touching unknown tech does not pass safety checks. I did not open any more after the first one. I don't want to lose any more eels.

That just left these beacons. I activated one and the fog came back and we were attacked again. They were more crab-like creatures like the one I saw on Petrichor V. They are verrry dangerous. They almost killed Ingo.

I don't think they want us to activate the signals. But I am confused as to why they stop coming when the signal stabilizes. From my scouting earlier, there are four in total. They have plenty of time to kill us. Why stop when we finish one? What are the signals even doing? Something is not right here.

I can't claim to have played every Pokemon game, but I think trapping Ingo and the player character in Hisui has to be the rudest fucking thing Nintendo has done in the Pokemon franchise.

Or just Arceus, if you wanna not be meta and also technical about it.

Like... Okay, player character maybe had a life that sucked, backstory unconfirmed, but you literally took a Train Fanatic and Twin and separated him from both by two centuries.

now, I am fully aware of Rei being the Protag as almost all male Characters have been confirmed Protags in Masters and I do think people that make out such a minority in the fandom definitely deserve the rep and time to shine! And I am so happy for them! Really hope they do him justice and make the event interesting! Also so very happy PLA still gets some love. I did enjoy ScarVio and Ogerpon from the DLC has become a favorite instantly but PLA needs so much more love than it has gotten. The game, Rei, or really any character deserves so much more love!

Akari is still my personal headcanon and given how loosely things are in Masters and Pasio (Masters is basically a big fanfic where time and space don't really matter and only loosely plays with Canon of the games. (Villains such as Ghetsis or others wouldn't just be allowed to squad in a base with Grunts and regularly try to take over the island and would be behind iron bars) we shouldn't necessarily see it as canon too much if people have different views. Or there should be bigger age gaps between the characters....) I do think it's more a thing to get a few headcanons for your faves! Just like the personalities added to Ingo and Emmet.

And a fun side fic with Ingo and Akari getting sent to Pasio instead of getting home sounds fun. Or they stumble into a distortion. The joy of seeing loved ones only to realize its not their loved ones is definitely interesting too. Pasio-Barry has temporarily two Dawn best friends and Pasio-Emmet temporarily has two big brothers. Or instead of getting contact to Arceus they try to get in contact with Lear and get Hoopa's help or something like that. (I want Akari to play a prank on Lear) And the times random weirdos enter the Villa for a random request raises again! Would definitely make something fun on the side. But I'm sure rn you already got enough projects at hand!

oh definitely! I'm not saying this towards you, I'm saying this in general to agree with what you said, because it appears a lot of people are upset with Pokemon Master's decision to make this 'canon'.

I think people need to understand that this is a canon - it's canon to Pokemon Masters, but that doesn't mean it's the concrete canon to PLA, as we know that Pokemon Masters is definitely not canon. But this is how Pokemon Masters is doing it. I definitely see Rei as the canon protagonist in Pokemon Masters, 100%. But I've written so much fanfic with Akari as the protag, that like you, she's my headcanon protagonist in PLA.

I always favor pokemon's game canon, because the games' canon always caters to the individual's headcanon to who's the protagonist. Marketing and advertising are a different story, and Pokemon Masters tends to lean with what those pick as protag (and it does seem marketing did favor Rei as the protagonist for PLA). But the games favor the player's choice to make it more personal.

So I'm seeing a lot of people getting upset over Pokemon Masters' decided canon when they can simply ignore it if they do not like it, because its a canon for a spinoff that happens to match some people's headcanons while it disproves others. But it's not the canon for PLA as a game.

(Whew, said 'canon' so many times, that it doesn't even look like a word to me anymore!)

I ALSO AGREE THAT I'M HAPPY PLA IS GETTING MORE REP. Pokemon Masters is what's keeping it fresh and alive in the games department, and I appreciated that SV did what it could to keep it relevant in a game that I really didn't expect to see it in.

AND YOU ARE CORRECT! I indeed love all of your ideas, but I have so many WIPs that are so close yet so far haha. Once they start coming out though and I get them done, I will perhaps be open to some new fic ideas. Let's see if these PLA events in Pokemon Masters inspires anything!

[Finally getting around to more ficlets. This'll be my solution since I can't edit asks anymore]

I gotchu anon! Here's the post!

Ingo's the one who reached out to Emmet and so he gets "Captured" when they're found together, and Ingo is going against his country's wishes to even be there at the rebel camp. It's most certainly a twisty business.

It was a mixed reaction when Ingo pulled back the flap of the tent and entered the space his brother alone occupied. Initially, he had his head covered by his cloak's hood, dull grey and inconspicuous. But as he pulled it down, sure now that Emmet was truly alone, Ingo hoped he would be given the chance to do what he came here for.

Emmet was used to people coming into his tent at all hours to discuss strategy or talk, so the fact that someone entered wasn't unusual. The hood puzzled him, made him slightly wary. But with the hood pulled down and the intruder exposed, he stared at Ingo with an expression of surprise, trepidation, relief and maybe just a hint of happiness. It didn't last long as he drew his sword and pointed it at the leader he and his people were trying to defeat. Ingo put his hands up defensively, taking a step back, tossing open the cloak to show he was entirely unarmed and not a threat.

"Emmet, please... I'm just here to talk."

Blade still held aloft, Emmet narrowed his eyes at his brother. "What? What could you possibly have to talk to me about if it is not your unconditional surrender. Or at least a ceasefire to this."

There was conflict in Ingo's expression, a kind of sad desperation in his eyes, worried grinding of teeth against his bottom lip and a nearly hopelessness in the way his shoulders sagged. "I... I can't do that."

"Then I have no business with you and you should leave while I still give you the chance-"

"Please! Don't! This is the only way I could think to have a conversation with you! It's completely impossible to do so on the battlefield and no one knows I'm here. I really do just... Want to talk. I've missed you."

A silent standstill, unwavering arm still holding the blade. It was clear who had the upper hand here. Their eyes bored into each other, taking in every detail of the other they could, reading the intentions, feelings, story, on the other's face.

Finally Emmet lowered the blade and let out a sigh through his nose. Sword stored back in its sheath, he gestured to one of the chairs that circled a table with papers and maps for Ingo to take a seat on. He didn't fully trust him, how could he? But he couldn't find it in himself to turn away his brother despite being on opposite sides of this conflict. Clearing the table so Ingo couldn't see anything important, Emmet sat across from him with an expectant look, the edge of apprehension clear.

"So. You wanted to talk."

"Yes. I haven't seen you in so many years... You've changed so much, I almost didn't recognise you!"

"Yes, well, working to overthrow a twisted and corrupt regime that touts itself as righteous will do that."

Ingo whithered visbly at the comment. He had hoped that they could have a pleasant conversation, but he had the feeling Emmet would do this with anything he tried to say. His heart squeezed.

"I... Never meant for this. You must understand that, right? I would never want to fight you. If I had any choice I-"

"There is always a choice, Ingo. This conversation will not go the way you wish. I will not say I hate you, but we can never be brothers the way we once were. Everything is different now. You must understand that."

Ingo was quiet for a long time after that, gaze burning a hole in the table to hold back the burn of tears threatening to fill his eyes. Finally, he sighed.

"Yes... I know. Of course. It's foolish to pretend otherwise. I had... Maybe I was deluding myself. But I still wanted to try."

Once again it was silent. It made the space that stretched out between them painfully obvious. Impossibly vast and insurmountable.

"Did you really risk so much to simply speak with me? If anyone else had seen you, you know you would have been captured and made our bargaining chip." Emmet spoke cooly, ignoring the anxious itch at the back of his mind over that.

"We already said it was a foolish and fruitless endeavor, but it was genuine. I really did risk so much to get a moment with you.... I'm glad you don't hate me. You could and I wouldn't be able to fault you." Ingo's gaze wandered, looking anywhere that wasn't Emmet. "I am not as in charge as I may seem. Yes, I'm the face of the nation, the one who speaks the rallying words. But I'm not the one making the decisions. If I were, as soon as I knew you were involve, things would have gone very differently."

That had been the suspicion for some time. That Ingo was merely a figurehead. The Young King, so dedicated to his country, appointed by God to bring their nation to Greatness, could easily rally his people around him, words convincing them to follow orders that others had issued. An appealing mouthpiece.

".... I will tell you what. It is dangerous for you to stay for long. I know that someone will stop by sooner or later and the only option for you then is surrender. Go home, go back to your advisors and your palace. But... If you were to come by again at the same time tomorrow or the day after, I may be alone again."

Was this the beginning of a plan forming? Yes. Ingo was beloved. If they, he, could find a way to pry the claws of his advisors out of him, there was a chance they could get him to speak of peace, to change the public's view of the conflict, want to stop the fighting. Come to an understanding. So if his brother wanted to stop by and start to build a relationship with him again, then so be it. It might just solve all of their problems.

The plan was to give Ingo enough to keep him coming back, understand his thoughts and feelings and turn them towards a more favorablr outcome, find ways to go behind the backs of his advisors. And it was working!

But something else was happening. Something they both felt acutely. Emmet had been right, they could never have the same brotherly relationship they used to. The way their hearts ached for each other, the way it felt natural when their lips touched, their tongues tasted, it was far from what they once had.

And they indulged.

Of course Ingo was so easy to influence when he wanted to just spend time with Emmet without risking life and limb every time. This had to end. And his slowly cooling passion for the righteous rhetoric he fed to the people had started to make its impact.

It was on a morning where they pushed their luck too far that it finally fell to pieces. Neither of them wanted Ingo to leave, so he convinced himself to stay later and later until they were awoken by an indignant voice.

What was the enemy leader doing there? In their own leader's tent? If not for the fact that they were twins, they would think he was trying to seduce their leader into surrender. But he must be using their shares history to his advantage. Why else would he be there? And that he was still there only solidified that his tactic must have started to work! Emmet had gotten weak to him!

Everything felt like it was going too fast and too slow in the same moment. Separated, Emmet kept far away from the king that wasn't his but who had his heart. He had been manipulated, he was in no fit state to make rational decisions about Ingo now!

It was with desperation Emmet tried to explain his tactics, his plan. He wasn't manipulated, he was the one doing the manipulation! Ingo was integral to finding an end to this, finally! One where no one else had to die!

"Emmet, do you really think that's the way this ends? With peace? I didn't realise you were such an idealist."

The words struck a cord within him and he felt a sick twist in his stomach. "What do you mean..."

"This doesn't end until all the ones in charge are dead. Of course this King of theirs is just for show. We use him as bait so we can draw out the ones really pulling the strings. And then we kill them. Then and only then will it be safe for us. Sure, they're more likely to send armies after us before they submit to any demands, but morale will take a hit as more soldiers die without their King to guide them."

"Or... They rally their armies to avenge and recapture their King and use him as motivation!"

"That's a risk we're willing to take at this point. You've done the best you could until now trying to lead us, but this conflict won't end until we do something decisive. And you just so happened to have the most decisive piece of this entire thing conveniently stowed away in your tent. We can't rest until the advisors are dead, and by then maybe we'll even spare your King brother. You'll be the one to take over, though. After all, you have as much right as him don't you?"

It was a cold feeling, knowing the ones he trusted most had an entire plan they came up with involving him without ever consulting him. And that things were out of his hands now. The bloodshed that may ensue from this would be worse than that leading up to it, and it was his own fault.

"Can I at least see him?" Despite being at war, only now did it feel as though his world was moments from crumbling and falling apart. Ingo had become so integral to his life that the thought of being kept away from him burned a hot painful hole in the pit of his stomach.

"Eventually, and under supervision. We can't allow you to jeopardize any of our plans now. But you played your part perfectly, so we can give you a little lenience."

To think he thought Ingo was the only one to have been nothing but a symbol to be used as a face for this war. They really were twins in the end, weren't they?

So we have the daughter figures and the siblings to Ingo and Phoenix!

Swapping Akari/Dawn and Trucy was a no brainer, then when it came to who Emmet would be here, I thought immediately of Maya, aka basically Phoenix's little sister! I was also so excited to draw Emmet in Maya's mischievous little pose cuz it just makes him look like 10x more of a little shit! Meanwhile, Maya looks so adorable in Emmet's uniform! As for Trucy and Akari, I had fun swapping their poses and they both look adorable in each other's outfits!

Also, I hope you guys can pick out all the little details I swapped between their costumes! Emmet and Maya have really only one thing swapped, but with all the little logos and accessories on Trucy and Akari's outfits, I was able to swap a little more.

Oh, and I do have a few ideas for other characters to swap! I'm mainly focusing on the characters of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, but I'm including Maya, and soon Edgeworth and Pearl just cuz I had some good ideas for them despite the fact neither show up in that game. And I'll give you a little hint on who will be Edgeworth. Don't let my love for Ingo x Johanna fool you. I like various Ingo ships, and all I'll say is that Edgeworth will be wearing a hoodie. ;3
