Some notes~ - Astarion has a lot of sexual experience for sure, but not much true romantic experience(at least not since being a vampire spawn). And his horny ~ VIBES~ are off the charts but his actual horniness is still tbd while he discovers himself. She wasn't very interested in romance/sex almost solely focused on her studies/job and keeping to herself. Demons and undead were her main companions. But when the tadpole situation happened and she was taken from her solitary life and possibly could die any day, and forced to make some allies. She was more open to some experiences, especially if it's an opportunity to learn people's secrets to get an upper hand. - I feel like neither of them are that awkward or jealous except for specific situations. They probably love sharing all the weird and scandalous details about the people they meet. Mean gossip girl style. - She does show her affection through words.....but only if you read between the teasing and insults XD she much prefers actions like physical affection or acts of service that makes her feel less vulnerable. For her, her physicality is less powerful than her words.(its a warlock thing) Eventually, seeing him caring so much about his own bodily autonomy makes her care about his which in turn makes her care more about hers. - Ties in a bit to the confession. She never even expected that to be honest. She's been nothing but off putting. So it also never crossed her mind to confess and she probably wouldn't even if it did. - she doesn't hate PDA but she is not really used to it or how to really show it also that others don't really need to see. Also that he does PDA on purpose to throw her off and bug her also doesn't help lol. But if there is a PDA situation that makes it funny or uncomfortable for others then she probably would because it is amusing. - they love to tease and almost insult each other. It's like a silly flirting game with an edge. It's really fun for them. Esp for her it's easier than being genuine. - She refuses to use pet names and he likes to bug her with increasingly cringe ones. Maybe one day when he doesn't expect it, she calls him “little star” and he almost dies(again) from shock. - She can cook if she has too but she isn't very good. Somehow her warlock skills don't translate into cooking skills. Astarion doesn't cook…cause yeah….. - Being a Warlock she has a ton of experience with bugs, creatures, icky things, and the dead so those bugs don't stand a chance. She got you babygurl. - She's so introverted. Having to hang out with these weirdos is a whole new situation for her. Very exhausting and frustrating…..but she grows to love them. He is definitely extroverted especially with his new found freedom. All the attention babeeee. But I do think he gets exhausted by it all once in a while. - if there is a machine(car) she would know how to operate it or she would find out. Not saying she would operate them well but she would do it. Astarion would say he would with confidence but i fear for anyone in his path LOL. No way is she letting him drive.

i personally have very complicated feelings on the Gotham Knights video game and the routes it takes with characterization. i think it has a charm to it and it goes in an interesting direction with everyone (especially within the confides of the plot of the game) but it does have certain moments that veer painfully fanon for me. (such as: the dialogue where Tim drinks too much coffee) it's an interesting story for what it is but i don't view it comics-based for characterization and therefore don't care to interact with it much for like. fanfic purposes.

that *said* though. i do have to give the game some kind of credit for giving one of the top five JayTim moments that lives rent free in my mind. every since i played the game, the cutscene lives in my mind daily. it's the specific cutscene where Jason and Tim are arguing about whether or not Jason's non-lethal bullets are too dangerous for the field, and the argument leads to TIm *standing in front of the target* Jason is shooting and telling Jason to shoot him. it lives rent free for me. i never stop thinking about this.

the absolute certainty Tim has that he is in no danger standing in front of Jason, who has a loaded gun pointed at his face. the way Jason *hesitates* for just a moment before lowering the gun. he thinks about it for just a second. Gotham Knights JayTim seem to get along very well and can rely on each other, but Jason still clearly holds a bitterness about his death and Tim that flickers through in some lines of dialogue under the guise of jokes. especially since this game deals *heavily* with concepts of Pit Madness causing an altered state of consciousness, i think it's believable that occasionally, Jason fights the urge to fight and hurt Tim for the feeling of being replaced.

i like their tension so much in this canon. they get along but you can *tell* Tim is afraid of addressing Jason's trauma or even addressing Jason head-on, and Jason leans into spooking Tim about it. which isn't very comics feeling in their dynamic, but it is an interesting way to place their dynamic if you're playing with a more timid Tim who's newer to the role of Robin. (which he seems to be in-game) he really doesn't want to offend Jason, or worse, piss him off. but he'll still face Jason head on for things like this, while completely aware of what Jason could be capable of.

and Jason seems very protective of Tim and respecting Tim as a Robin in typical Jason fashion. if Tim pushes, Jason *will* relent. he knows this is a kid who's proved himself and should be treated with equal respect, sometimes even more than Dick and Babs do in-game.

so for all that to culminate in Tim stepping in front of Jason's loaded gun that he *knows* is on the edge of being too dangerous, just to force Jason to listen? it's the most unhinged way Tim could've gotten his point across in this scene. he was literally daring Jason to hurt him and playing with a very dangerous fire. but he did it anyway bc he believed he could make Jason heel just at the thought of hurting Tim. and he was *right*. they're gay and i'm feral ty.

on a less serious side, bad and foolish having witnesses who are somewhat normal and regular to their usual strange and deranged antics is so hysterical. bad playing the role of kidnapped and felon this time around, letting himself get captured, pretending to be soooo guilty and talking like he’s actually gonna snitch. foolish doing it half for fun, half for show, because he knows cellbit is the killer already - he just needs nails for bad’s coffin because he’s gonna be the scapegoat, and he’s bored. if they were alone maybe they’d trade more intel - they’re on the same page but can’t exactly confirm nor allude to that with an audience, so it just devolves into their usual antics. meanwhile bagi is sweating and convinced bad is definitely about to spill everything she’s told him, falling for bad’s little ‘oh I’m so easily caught and convinced’ act harder than anyone else, trying to avoid bad’s arrest or worse, cellbit’s - while really what’s going on is bad and foolish’s homoerotic batshit insane cop and robber routine, where you’re not sure if someone’s getting arrested or if they’re about to make out. and aypierre is just there

Well they caught him. If he wasn't the exact kind of person tumblr loves, the conspiracy theories about this being a random person being framed would have continued to spread. But he's an attractive 26 year old white man who was caught carrying a manifesto about corporate America and has an internet history that matches up with tumblr's general politics. So everyone is going to get excited about how he's a martyr and go back to acknowledging reality in that there isn't a conspiracy to frame the wrong guy.

The discussions over whether or not this man should be lionized as a hero are honestly not as relevant as the comfort with which people are going to drop the conspiracy theory they would have been fully committed to if this man's politics turned out to be nuts. The ease with which the userbase of this website switches between realities based on whether or not they confirm their biases is really alarming. I just hope people understand how weird it is to claim a random person is 100% going to be framed by the FBI on one day, and then drop that by the next day when it becomes clear that the person being "framed" is the exact kind of communist you had hoped.
