hi there, just today i pulled all the pictures for the two ~spicey~ scenes in princess and me and am going to reupload them to pillowfort (rip newtumbl 😔)

the reuploading will be a different day tho because uploading photos to pillowfort is actually the biggest pain in the ass lol.

random note about king on that animation, i got really lucky with how simple his animation was and how clean my sketches were to begin with that i was able to do very minimal cleanup on what i had sketched (and add back. his horn. it's supposed to take place just after echoes of the past, Oops) and call it done that way instead of having to redraw the entire thing like i had to on his dad

first sketch > line cleanup > nearly final animation (i'd added slight eye movements last-second but otherwise that's the final)

I AM NOT AN ANIMATOR I AM JUST A HOBBYIST...#i animate like once a year... shits hard man.... but apparently when i do animate. its extremely good :) proud of that #even if i have an extremely unhinged way of animating #i don't have an animation program i draw everything individually frame by frame in photoshop #each character had their own psd file with the same background and every frame was its own group. twice. one for sketch one for colors #i do test takes with gifcam (there are literally 55 WIP gifs in my documents folder rn) by switching between layers and taking a 'frame'#and i compile in blender's video editor and to move things separately i save each character's frame in its own .png 'cel'#so luz was her own 'cel'. king was his own 'cel.' etc. and then i have to manually slide the lengths of the frames around #to match the right framerate. traditionally animation is animated at 24 FPS on 2's - so 12 frames a second. i go on 3s. 4 to slow down #anime-ass framerate. i'm insane apparently but its what i like to do #i dont understand real animation programs they have too many pieces but i DO understand photoshop and my funny brushes #imagine having Digital Programs and Still basically doing ye olde traditional animation method just in the computer #if im Just making a gif then i only use gifcam and switch between layers. like digital stop motion. somethings wrong with me

#digital devil saga #demi-fiend #python #digital devil saga 2 #<- if you know you know. if you don't then don't worry about it :)#literally no one else will ever use this program most likely #but i just want seraph to stay within its defined folder #i should probably change it so that it'll run gaea rage if Path.cwd() aka the home folder isn't in the path but #i'm tired and just did a load of bugfixing of cannibalised code #at least using Path.cwd() means i don't have to adjust stuff for moving the folder #also if you don't get the joke: demi-fiend is an optional boss fight in digital devil saga #if you do certain actions like come into the fight with immunities he will spam a move called gaea rage at you until you die #and you will die #the only way to avoid gaea rage is possibly by a lucky miss (good luck keeping that up if he's spamming it forever)#or by having the passive skill null sleep which does not prevent you from being asleep but prevents damage while you're asleep #he'll scripted use it at certain points in the fight but a demon of his will use dormina (puts your party to sleep) beforehand #so you have to hope everyone falls asleep or at least enough people that you can get back in the fight easily #thanks cielo for being weak to ailments. a sentence you would never otherwise say because ailments suck #also i died by gaea rage spam by forgetting to unequip null attack from my back party members so uh. yeah

tormented by demons (← had to redo all the VCs they'd oto'd so far because they miscalculated the base values and has now been stricken by the urge to just hand-stitch all these CVVC samples into plain VCV, as if turning like 80 WAV files into 300 or more six times over is not more work than just oto'ing CVVC)

Every time I finish a sketchbook I get consumed with 2-3 days of desire to go through and get pictures & digitally organize all the alpha-draft type thumbnails or comic planning into someplace I could organize my thoughts chronologically better but. Since i haven't done it for any of them yet and i just wrapped up sketchbook #27 it feels, ah. A little daunting lol

#I could just work backwords for ones that I know have more of this type of stuff but even then each book is like 100 pgs #anyways some fun math for u: Ive been filling like 6.5 pgs /day for 2 weeks and!!! holy fuck!!!#i don't even know if theres a decent folder search type program thatd make it tenable for what Id want tbh #Like org by folders (books) & chronologically but maybe the ability to tag each file w different categories for searching #and then like a separate timeline that could connect based off such tags without moving the original file or duplicating it unnecessarily #siiigh gotten too used to musicbee's search feature #not art

shoutout to the time i thought juggalos were just a random type of clown in the same way rodeo and pierrot is, and I off-handedly mentioned them in a conversation about clowns to one of my DQ managers when I worked there, and she fucking lost her mind laughing and I was like. damn. I didn't think my joke was THAT funny but okay. and then I never looked up what a juggalo actually was until just last year, like four years after I'd stopped working at that place 🧍

#when u dont have internet access very often u don't use ur small bits of time to look things up #esp when u dont have any unmonitored internet access fjdkdl #i was scared to look things up at school and i couldnt look up very much on the home computer #and my mobile had net nanny installed on it lmfao it was set for like... 12 yr olds #NOW GRANTED. I ACTUALLY DID MANAGE TO BREAK NET NANNY ON MY OWN COMPUTER. u have to move some files around inside the program files #and then u can basically break and un-break it as u please #so i could have it on to keep up the charade that i had it installed and it was monitoring and reporting my good boy usage #but then when i wanted to do stuff like... go on tumblr. or look up slang or whatever fhdkdl i could break the program #until i was done and then fix it so it'd go back to normal #this didnt help v much though bc i couldnt lug my laptop to school v often #and i wasnt allowed internet at home fhfkdl unless I was using my mother's laptop for looking up piano music LOL #eventually i also figured out how to break the program on my phone too but that one was more luck than anything else i think #anyways. all this surveillance made me good with tech stuff but im not Good w tech djdkdl i just know how to look things up #and i learned a bit how the backend of programs work or weird tricks for hidden folders and stuff on laptops #hey why tf am i rambling abt this in the tags fjkdl I've lost the plot #anyways good morning everyone please look up words that u may not know the meaning of before u use them #i do this too often now fhfjld. i have to look up words that i DO 100% know the meaning of just to make sure i dont have it wrong somehow #pippen needs 2nd breakfast

Welcome to my very epic modded 3DS :D I’m gonna download pokémon x, rhythm heaven, and sonic generations tomorrow but it is currently late (I need to set the clock for daylight savings lol it’s an hour ahead rn, it’s 2am) and I thus want to go to bed <3

#spent the last two hours installing alpha sapphire lol. i just made myself a huge like masterlist p much in discord with all my fics in it. i’ll need to put tumblr stuff in it too later but THE HOPE IS. that since i will be able to easily scroll through all of it. (google docs mobile is hell and i usually write on my phone) i will actually be able to SEE ALL MY FICS. and not forget about what i am working on.

i’m also keeping track now of what i currently want to work towards and what i have in my inbox over here. before i was kinda just checking every so often and then forgetting and then checking and then forgetting etc

WITH ANY LUCK. this will mean more consistent posting. i CANNOT promise anything because i am a human and thus flawed. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GO BACK TO WRITING MORE.

i have five twstober prompts left to write and eight requests in my inbox and then i will open requests again. i will NOT be hosting any request EVENTS for the near future - twstober will be the only event i am planning on regularly participating in. i would like to instead focus more on my full fics and my ocs as they bring me very much joy. please ask me about my ocs i will love you forever /platonic. i will also add something to my request rules for asks about ocs because i will take any and all excuses to talk about them
