The Eagles are here! The Eagles are here!
I have been on my annual photography trip to the Nooksack River shooting Bald Eagles feeding on Chum Salmon.  Basically, I wake up at 4:30 pack my car drive 3 ½ hours to the Deming, WA area to photograph eagles.  I get there around 8:00 in the morning and stay all day.  Get something to eat around noon (gas station food) and shoot some more, when the light disappears around 4:00 I head home (3 ½ hour drive) stop for dinner someplace, usually Pho to warm me up, I get home around 9;00 feed the critters and take a shower and go to bed just to do it again the next day.  Temperature at the Nooksack has been around 25-35 degrees but very humid.  The bones ache temperature, on Sunday I slipped on the bank and broke a camera (it’s off to Nikon for repair).  The weather has been overcast so I have been shooting in the higher ISO’s ISO +1600, just to keep my shutter above 1/1600 sec.  Well so far, I have taken about 20,000 photographs of Owls and Eagles during the Christmas break, its going to take me a couple of days to get them cataloged for possessing so you must be patient.
Today the weather forecast was for rain all day so I decided to do some chores, like laundry, buying groceries and starting the catalog process in Lightroom.
Chores Petting, playing with the cats and walking the dogs, while doing laundry.  The critters are feeling abandoned, and are making me feel guilty.
But here are some photographs so you don’t feel abandoned.

I have had such piss poor luck with Lightroom, honestly it's such a headache.
My 2023 catalog has just disappeared, along with all the backups. I had a copy of it on my external hard drive, but I hadn't updated it since like June because I kept forgetting. My photos are all still in the 2023 folder on my PC, but the catalog and backups are just gone?? I don't know why????
And in the past I've had issues with catalogs randomly becoming corrupt after not having done anything to them. My 2022 catalog has to be opened from my most recent backup every single time, the main catalog file won't open and gives me an error, even after I open a backup, make changes and do another backup.
I'm not sure if my PC did something weird or if it's an issue with Adobe, but either way, I'm to the point where if there was any alternative for Lightroom I would switch, but unfortunately there isn't and I really wish someone would make something that could replace it. I'm so tired of this.
Lightroom has caused me so much grief. I have lost data numerous times for no good fucking reason and at no fault of my own. Like I swear to god I'm going to lose it.
And Oscar has been jumpy and barky and annoying all fucking morning and that's driving me insane. And then I keep biting the same spot on my lip, to make matters worse.
Like I'm just having a terrible day.
