Sorry, one more question.
How will we know if we have been accepted?
You just have to fill out the Team Sign-Up form, and share your template (and any other OC refs/images, if you'd like) to the #Lair Games 2024 tag to be considered accepted. We also do our best to reblog every shared template and artwork to make sure everyone can see who has joined.
#lair games 2024#lair games question#truth be told there are a few difficulties that come with trying to put together every participating user when the event spans across +#multiple sites and social medias#just in terms of figuring out the best and easiest way to list all the participating users#(and it's definitely something we will work out for next year)#but as long as you submit the form and follow the rules you don't have to worry about not being accepted!

my thing is I'm capable of any of this stuff up to at least level 3 and can do them for special occasions and if I've rested enough no problem, but I can't do it OFTEN because it just uses up too many spoons. any thoughts on this? besides practice, I already cook as often as I can (which is not very)
Mise en place your life as much as possible. I've talked about this before but this is what I do to make things easier on myself. My baking station with all the ingredients out and clearly labeled instead of at the bottom of the pantry where I have to dig for them makes it much, much, much easier to bake. My knife strip on the wall and the dozen cutting boards in a rack on the wall and the frying pan that lives on the stove instead of under the counter all make it much easier for me to cook.
Like, a lot of what I've been going through and doing in terms of home improvement/home decor is attempting to configure the house in such a way that large bastard and i can easily do the things we want to/need to do. We need batteries all the time, so the batteries live in an organized box where we can see it instead of in the back of the cabinet. We also need to *discard* batteries all the time, so the battery discard tub is right next to that box otherwise we'll start accumulating used batteries on surfaces.
The instruments that live on my kitchen counter are the ones that get used most often so that I don't need to go looking for them and so that I know at a glance if they're clean (if so they're in the canister on the counter) or need to be washed. The appliances that I use the most either live on the counter or get put places where it's convenient - I don't have enough bowls and plates that I need to use the top three shelves of my cabinet for bowls and plates like my parents did, but I do use my rice cooker twice a week so my rice cooker lives in the same cabinet as my dishes (as does my tofu press, my waffle maker, and the easiest-to-use 16oz food storage containers).
And you know what sometimes i just can't do it. Sometimes my back isn't working or my hip isn't working or i got glutened recently and I can't do much of anything.
I've got a variety of low spoon foods that I always have ingredients for (one recent addition to this list is tofu; i went from eating no tofu to eating tofu twice a week because two days a week i can't really use one of my arms to make dinner so i just prep the tofu at lunchtime and when i get home from the plasma center all i have to do is season and pan fry it and make a pot of rice. And I also make a shitload of extra rice because rice with eggs and sweet-spicy sauce is now one of my easiest and best go-to lunches) and whenever I make a pot of soup (something that I do pretty much every weekend when it's cool enough) I will make enough for lunch that week plus usually some extra to go in the freezer as backup "I don't feel like cooking" meals.
So, yeah I guess what I'm saying is get a good list of low-spoon foods that you like and can keep the ingredients handy for (ground beef goes bad in a week, tofu lasts like a month, i love tofu, it's so easy and so cheap to keep a bunch of tofu handy), and throw out the idea of what a kitchen is "supposed" to be like and figure out if there are ways to make your kitchen more adaptive for you.
Get anti-fatigue mats for your home kitchen. Get a tall stool that you can sit at while cooking at the stove instead of standing. Reorganize your cabinets for maximum efficiency for your needs. (large bastard and I have been doing this both with organized visible storage like wall racks as well as putting his stuff up high because bending over isn't easy for him but it is easy for me).
And also, like, consider if it's worth it, or how it can be worth it. How do you want to be a better cook? Do you want to be better at making meals for large groups or do you want to be more comfortable cooking for yourself or do you want a wider repertoire of recipes - all of those things will take a different path and some will be harder than others if you're wrangling disabilities that make it difficult to cook. I'm probably never going to be great at cooking for large groups because it doesn't really suit my lifestyle and it hurts! It hurts a lot and after hosting thanksgiving last year i needed to use my cane for a week because of how much it hurt my back! But I can work on stuff that makes it easier for me to cook, like having my baking station or keeping my rice cooker in an easy-to-reach cabinet.

So I just want to explain how relationships in the arcade are going to work. Unfortunately I can't find my original post on it. So I'm going to go out to the best of my memory of all they said before. Arcade is going off of quite a bit of relationships statuses I've already said I believe for the Sun and Moon show. Put these are just more finite.
I also will be going over the exact relationships between the characters in arcade. So stick till the end for that.
So arcade relationships.
So let's just first list off all the different types of familial-esque relationships You can have in arcade. There is-
Company, Creator/caretaker, built for, spoken, code shared, Code offspring.
I will be going over all the relationships above by importance to robots. Or how related they are considered under these terms. The first one here being not related, and the last one being definitely related.
Company
Company or as it is sometimes termed by animatronics as model. Is by far the least looked at aspect of relationships between robots. Most robots don't even consider this one looking for partners or family. This is mostly a human term. And for short point of history robots under humans would also believe in this sort of relationship. Although that has long been abolished.
Essentially this points out that every robot that is similar is exactly the same. They are the exact same shape, model, starting parameters, everything. This sometimes would even extend towards every animatronic underneath the company name. Meaning that no animatronic under a singular company could have a relationship by using this terminology. Which is exactly why it was quickly thrusted out as a term for free animatronics. It was just too constricting.
Creator or caretaker.
This is another mostly human term. Most humans believe they are under the right to be called a father towards a certain animatronic. And while some animatronics do share this relationship with their creator or caretaker. Many do not. This was mostly abolished by free animatronics. And for those animatronics that did feel that type of relationship towards their human creator/caretakers. They switched over to the spoken terminology. Anyone can reject anyone using the creator/caretaker terminology.
How this type of relationship works was mostly like saying you had a parental figure. Basically they were the most prominent figure in a robot growing years. And while some animatronics try to use this terminology upon others they created once they earned freedom. It is mostly considered a old term and a human term. Animatronics that do use this term on other animatronics aren't considered related unless it is accepted as a spoken term. As those types of relationships have been mostly replaced with the spoken term.
Built for.
This term is a little strange. The easiest way to explain it is that it is animatronics that are built to be siblings or related. To some animatronics it is humans way of forcing relationships on animatronics since they cannot reproduce similarly. This term has not been completely abolished. Mostly because it is correct in the fact that robots do struggle to reproduce in a meaningful way. But it also is one of the easier ones for old animatronics to separate. While this term does exist and persists. It has been mostly replaced by the spoken terminology.
The easiest way that most animatronics see this relationship. Is that it is similar to cousins. Usually these animatronics have spent a long time with their built for animatronic siblings. So that mental relationship is very strong. And while some will still stay with built for relationships. Using interchangeably with the spoken term. Plenty of others will simply separate under the terms that they are still family. But distant now.
Spoken.
This is by far the most lively term used by animatronics nowadays. This is mostly how animatronics that were related to each other, or wanted to be related to each other express that. Spoken does not usually have to have any connections other than the fact that you must have known the other animatronic, or a animatronic wants to be included in a family. It also is how most animatronics will expand family trees.
Spoken is usually used in referencing to direct family. There are spoken siblings. Spoken parental figures. And this can also include spoken cousins. This also relates to adoption like scenarios. But! Once you are spoken as a family member. Any other animatronic that is accepted into that spoken family, or is able to have a code share or offspring. Are all related forever! While there is no drawbacks. It is considered very bad to get in sexual relationships with spoken family. It is to remain fully platonic.
Code share.
Code share and code offspring are very close. The only difference is that one acts more like offspring and the other acts more like a mixing of blood. It is considered a level up for those who use the spoken terminology. This also kind of work towards animatronics that duplicate one another. Although there is discussion that that should be more so a code offspring than a code share.
Spoken and code share terminologies are exactly the same. It is for those who want to be considered direct family under whatever circumstance is. The biggest difference is that usually this is the spoken parental figure, sharing their code with everyone in their spoken family. Becoming a code share family. It is by far the most accepted way to become a parental figure to a bunch of animatronics. Although this is currently not exactly the easiest thing to get to without having prior coding knowledge, or the payment to pay somebody with that knowledge. But it is slowly becoming the norm and easier to access.
Code offspring.
Currently. This is the only specific terminology for animatronic relationships. This usually means specifically a child of an animatronic. While there is spoken words That can mean the same thing. Given that there is a parental spoken word. This is the most legitimate way for animatronics to actually have a child that isn't through an adoption like circumstance. Most spoken children are simply adopted into a family. At least by human terms. Having a code offspring is entirely saying that you have a animatronic baby that can soon become a child. And while animatronics are still figuring out how to craft a animatronic that can mature in a human like fashion. There are some that exist.
Like I said. This literally just means that an animatronic has a child. A literal baby that becomes a child. It is most prominently made by mixing two animatronics codes together. Or by using one's code and modifying it slightly to become a child. Which is why currently the duplicate of yourself is questionable if it is a code offspring or code share. Many people currently are voting on code offspring. But many are saying it's just a code share. Either way. There is undoubtedly going to become more terms the more stable this type of animatronic reproduction gets.
And that is the entirety of every single familial type relationship animatronics can have.
Now because it is going to be asked. This is only pointing out how animatronics see each others as fathers, mothers, cousins, and siblings. Other than the currently abolished or mostly abolished terms. Anyone that is considered a built for, spoken, code share, or code offspring to each other, cannot get into sexual relationships. This includes animatronics that are waiting for a confirmation on spoken family, and anyone down the long train of spoken family up to a certain point. Similar to human incest levels.
It is currently acceptable for animatronics that are underneath the same company, or are underneath the same creator/caretaker to get into relationships. Although if your creator is an animatronic. It is usually acceptable to switch over to the spoken term. Although there currently are no laws if they do not accept the spoken term. They simply just haven't been fighting over it. Most have switched over to the spoken term, but have distanced themselves as close family. Usually to the levels of cousins. <This will become law eventually. Just not currently at this time.
Onto the specific relationships in the stardust arcade!
So I'm going to list out everyone's specific relationships to each other. Now because these animatronics do come from different Pizza plexes. There are certain relationships that will not be listed. So technically I will be adding relationships to (characters family), but I won't be listing it out. Just the knowledge that they have extra family. Also I will be using the spoken family terms. As they are the most accepted. I will simply put in () marks whether they have a specific reasoning or differencing terminology why they are related.
All right, Let's get started with this party.
Blackstar, eclipse, and black stars family are family. All considered brothers. (Black Star code shared with eclipse.)
Planet and her human caretaker are family. (She uses the spoken terminology for her human caretaker. But the caretaker still uses the old one.) She is attempting to become spoken family with eclipse and Blackstar. It has yet to be fully accepted. Waiting on Blackstar.
Arcade Sun and Moon are family. They are brothers to each other. (They usually refer to themselves as built for brothers.) They are currently attempting to get planet into their spoken family. It has yet to be accepted.
Blood Moon and Pluto are family. (They are technically built for family. But they exclusively use the spoken terms.) Pluto has yet to fully word out that he is spoken family to Blood Moon. But they are considered spoken family until he is able to deny or accept.
Nova and Nova's family are family. (Nova and Nova's family are built for family. Although it is mostly a spoken distant cousin relationship.)
Jack o Moon has no family. (Used to consider himself creator/caretaker family with other animatronics. But when that term was abolished, No one else accepted his spoken family terms.) Is currently looking to get spoken family.

Wow, your response to the Starscream questions was Above and Beyond, and so delightful to read! (I have now read it several times, and am still cackling over 'Discount Megatron,' lmao). Reading your answers has gotten me thinking about how I would answer those same questions - which might not happen right away because Busy Life is Busy, but if you have time, I would love to hear: What are some of your favorite Starscream Moments?
Busy Life is Busy indeed! We'll just pretend it didn't take me a very long time to answer this, lol.
So I've spent a while thinking about this, because it's cheating to say "all of them", and I also don't like all of them. But as long as he's not being abused, handed the stupid ball for plot reasons, or made a major villain, I'm pretty happy whenever he's onscreen/on page. In no particular order (save the first one), here are some of my favorite Starscream moments and episodes:
There is one portrayal in which I like him as a major villain, and that's TFP S1. Usually when a Starscream is the main antagonist, he's made into an even worse person than Megatron, which is... probably the easiest way to make me hate a portrayal of Starscream. But this is about favorite things, so: TFP Starscream. Has his priorities straight, one of the only Decepticons who actually gets anything done. Best Starscream as a long-term antagonist. Pity they had to bring Megatron back.
G1 Starscream was never a long-term main villain, which is why I don't count his one-off episodes in the above category, but I love when he does get to be the villain for an episode. He gets so excited when things are going well (and I don't mind his repeated attempts to destroy Earth in G1, because he's not worse than Megatron when Megatron does the same thing. Also, they were Saturday morning cartoon villains, it was basically required that a planet or two be endangered on a regular basis).
I was going to list my favorite G1 Starscream episodes, but you know what, I think that's pretty much every episode he's a main character in. The only one I can think of right off that I don't like so much is Triple Takeover (he's gone for half the episode anyway). If I had to choose a single favorite episode, I am contractually obligated as a SkyStar fan to say Fire in the Sky. But Enter the Nightbird and Auto Berserk are close behind.
Going more into individual moments:
I don't remember the context, but there's a scene in one of the IDW comics when Optimus wants Starscream to do something, and Starscream has to take a moment to bask in the satisfaction of Optimus needing him (he does, in fact, just take a panel to be smug, as I recall).
Every moment in Armada when Starscream interacts with the Minicons.
I haven't seen much TFA, but in episode 3 he steals a bus full of humans, takes it up to a tall building, and then spends a while circling it like a vulture. I remember none of his rationale for doing this, beyond baiting the Autobots, but I enjoyed that.
G1 Starscream being so happy to be back in his own time in Decepticon Raider that he jumped on Megatron.
Similarly, G1 Starscream jumping on and bowling over Optimus in Roll For It. He's two for two on tackling the leaders (but only one leader got punched in the face after).
Going off and doing his own thing when he doesn't trust the Sub-Atlantians in Atlantis Arise! And being correct.
Similarly, figuring out the "Stunticons" were actually Autobots in about two seconds in Masquerade.
Making his own combiner out of beach scrap.
"I'd shoot the thing, but you ordered me not to."
"I circled half the globe searching for him."
I shall leave it there, lol. Lest I really do just list every episode I like that he appears in.

[ matchmaking... ]
@ anon (🍓) : [ match report ready ]
your romantic match is…
✦ Vil Schoenheit
The intimidating, classy couple - independent, confident, and cool. The way you present yourselves to other people is rather similar on the surface, though of course each of you have your own facets under that front you put up for most people. You’re more reserved than Vil, so you’re more likely to pull back from the limelight when possible, but people still definitely regard you as a power couple whenever they see you out together. The way you hold yourself was one of the first things that Vil was attracted to; he has a decent eye for people, and little patience for incompetence. That you seemed sure of yourself and also not boastful was appealing to him.
You two are able to relate to each other in terms of being perfectionists and holding yourselves to high standards. Perfectionism is a double-edged sword, and both of you know that all too well - it is simultaneously a great strength and a great weakness. That being said, perfectionism is likely the main contributor to when one of you is feeling agitated, upset, or down. Thankfully, you two are able to easily empathize how the other is feeling and why they’re feeling that way - and you quickly figure out the best ways to comfort the other without coddling them too much.
You have the backbone to stand up to Vil if needed. He’s not the easiest to get along with, and he’s demanding when it comes to other people living up to his standards. It takes a particular type of person to get along well with him and deal with him when he’s being unreasonable. That being said, he doesn’t mind when you challenge him on things or butt heads. He doesn’t seem like the type to get along very well with someone who is very weak-willed and unable to advocate for themselves; he understands those types of people to an extent, but it is much more comfortable for him to be around people who are willing to value themselves and defend their perspectives.
Sometimes Vil might scold you if you’re tactless, similar to the way he scolds Epel for not presenting himself in a way that is professional. Your bluntness is great, sometimes - some people really need it in order to get the message. But other times, it might come off as tone deaf and inconsiderate. Vil knows you’re smart enough to find tactful ways of voicing your critiques or complaints, as well as evaluating the best way to speak to someone. He cringes internally if he’s ever around to witness you sticking your foot in your mouth and rubbing someone the wrong way when you didn’t mean to. Don’t take it too personally, though - he just wants people to see you in the best light possible, as you deserve.
He loves seeing the outfits you put together. He thinks your fashion aesthetic is classy and yet, with a unique spin on it. You’ve definitely made it your own, and he loves to see it! He would absolutely help you take pictures of your outfits for your friends or social media, if that’s something you like to do. And if he discovers that you’re okay with it, he would be the type to discreetly take candid photos here and there. You look nice, and he wants to capture moments where you’re looking and feeling good. Vil would also get a few pieces that resemble your style for himself - that way, some days he can match your style when you two go out together. It’s not hard, either, since he favors formal and elegant styles himself, and he can find pieces he likes that would fall into vintage fashion styles.
He quite enjoys how varied your interests and hobbies are. You’re well-read in the classics, but you’re also a big fan of contemporary series. Other than books, music and video games fall into your list of main interests, so you’re exposed to such a variety of mediums and ideas. On top of all that, you have a good sense for business and you like exploring those topics - which is not something most people can say. This all makes you seem like a well-rounded person to him. While Vil is pretty busy and has plenty of his own interests to focus on, he’d be happy to check out any recommendations you have for him when he has time. It all goes on a mental backlog, and sometimes you don’t even know he started reading or playing something until he brings up that he’s halfway through whatever it is and wants to talk about it.
Vil checks the boxes for traits in your preferred partners. Well, more or less, anyways - you specified someone gentle yet authoritative; he’s absolutely more on the authoritative side, and he really isn’t gentle when addressing his peers. However, he’s more vulnerable when it comes to interacting with his partner, once you break those walls down around him. He’s just a little more soft around the edges with you, more affectionate. He is also quick to pick things up, and hates feeling uninformed; even if his area of knowledge doesn’t line up with yours, he’s willing to put in the effort to research and understand things even if he doesn’t encounter those specific topics very often.
While you may hate unnecessary change, Vil would insist that there’s no growth if you don’t push yourself out of your comfort zone or if you don’t get varied experiences. He’d argue that the bare minimum amount of change isn’t enough to keep growing and learning as a person - but if you aren’t ready to take that step on your own, he’d help you. Yes, your independence and desire to carve your own way is admirable, it’s one of the things he loves about you, but rely on him a little bit here and there! He finds that he really likes it (although he should really listen to that advice himself - all too often he’s reluctant to accept help from others).
your platonic match is…
✦ Malleus Draconia
Your main bonding topic is your shared interest in old architecture and the stories that may surround old buildings. It’s not a common interest for most people - or, at the very least, it tends to be a pretty shallow interest for many people. So it makes him happy to have a conversation (and exploration) partner that is well-informed and open to discovering more. He’s such a well of knowledge when it comes to this stuff - and is happy to talk about places he’s seen in Briar Valley. If you’re interested, and you have the chance to get off of campus at all, he would love to show them to you so you can see these places personally!
Similarly, he’s glad to know that you don’t have trouble with stories and subjects that aren’t for the faint of heart. He would still try to spook you with scary legends and stories that he knows, though - but isn’t particularly fussed if you aren’t scared (but he will be a tad amused if you do get a little uneasy).
It would definitely take a while for you two to really bond. You’re reserved enough as it is, and he’s not a social butterfly either. Both of you are comfortable being alone, and don’t really need a lot of social interaction to be happy. Funnily enough, you mention that you’re often initially seen as intimidating; Malleus definitely understands the feeling! (though, your peers probably wouldn’t be terrified of you like many are when it comes to Malleus). Natural, easygoing conversations would not happen for quite some time - early conversations would subsist solely on shared interests and basic small talk.
Malleus greatly appreciates your honesty and bluntness. There are a lot of people who aren’t willing to be honest with him - out of fear or simply wanting to stay on his good side and avoid offending him - so your honesty and frank way of speaking is a breath of fresh air. He frequently comes to you for advice or to ask for your opinion, and he’s happy to extend the same courtesy to you as well.
He likes that you’re very knowledge-driven, and interested in history! And he can definitely understand how tedious it is to study the same subjects and topics over and over again without actually learning anything new or making a new connection. He’s long-lived, and he isn’t really learning anything new at NRC, so his days in school can definitely drag on him a bit. Still, he gets to learn a lot when it comes to humans and interpersonal relationships. Malleus would be a good fit as an intellectual partner - he’s a good source of information, and would be supportive of any of your intellectual pursuits.
Malleus absolutely relates to your dislike of unnecessary change. He does not adapt well to big, drastic changes, and he understands all too well the apprehension in addressing a world and people that may change all too suddenly around you. Although, for him, he may not even really think about his personal organizational systems and routines being affected by change (he’s pretty timeless in that sense), but he listens well to your grievances if such changes were to unwillingly happen to you.
At least one of you is tech-savvy. You will become his go-to person for anything electronic that he can’t figure out (which is, unfortunately for him, a lot). He’ll get the hang of things eventually, once you show him enough times. He’s definitely confused every time you show off some cool new piece of technology you’ve obtained, but he enjoys your enthusiasm nonetheless. Malleus isn’t super interested in playing video games himself, but he doesn’t mind watching you sometimes! It’s something new and different that he doesn’t personally get to see very often.
Malleus would be happy to accompany you to bookstores and libraries. He likes the quiet of libraries, and there will always be something he can pick up to read. And drag him to the stationery sections, or full on stationery shops - he hasn’t frequented those places much, but he’d probably like to look around! He would pick supplies up solely just to write letters to you. Please write to him as well - Malleus would adore getting letters from you, even if you don’t have much to say in them. He doesn’t have many friends, so this is a fun way to keep in touch with you (even if you see each other most, if not every, day).

If you want people to see your YouTube content, you need to optimize your videos so they can find you.
Here's the good news: you can rank highly on YouTube. You just need to know how. This post will tell you all about it.
How does YouTube SEO work?
Like any other search engine, the ranking of YouTube videos is determined by a complex algorithm, but we don't encourage you to get bogged down trying to understand all the factors.
Instead, remember the "goal" of all search engines: to provide searchers with high-quality content that best matches what they're looking for.
In many ways, YouTube SEO is easier than other search engines.
Why?
Unlike Google and others who weigh rankings by looking at backlink profiles, domain metrics, and other complex factors, YouTube SEO is essentially about optimizing what you can control: a great video, and labeling it properly with technical things like your video description, playlists, and metadata.
No matter how you work it, the success of your YouTube channel depends on getting your content to show up in those precious YouTube search results.
So let’s demystify it all. Let’s look at 10 ways to perfect your YouTube SEO, optimize your videos and channel, and ultimately get more viewers.
How to Rank YouTube Videos Fast
1. Use Focused Keywords
The first of our YouTube SEO tips is all about keywords.
Whether you're already posting videos to YouTube or haven't yet broken the record, basing each video on relevant keywords can be extremely helpful to your YouTube SEO efforts.
Like all search engines, YouTube works by matching users' search terms with the most relevant, quality results.
When reviving an old YouTube video, rewatch it and figure out its main topic. What is the focus of this video? Ask yourself: What are the keywords? (Get creative here! Think diagonally.)
For your upcoming videos, it will be easier if you select relevant keywords before you start. This will allow you to use a keyword research tool to find the most popular search terms. This will help you develop content for your channel.
Popular keyword research tools include Ahrefs, SEMrush, Keywords Everywhere, and KeywordTool.io.
: They all work in a similar way, but if you’re new to keyword research, KeywordTool.io is the most beginner-friendly.
Just select your desired search engine (YouTube in this case) and enter your desired keyword. We chose “Instagram Hacks”:
But the Pro version lets you dig a little deeper by also giving you search volume, CPC (cost per click) and comparisons with your competitors. (Don’t get hung up on the last two, they’re just a rough indication of how hard it is to rank for a keyword, but they’re not necessarily a reliable indicator.) However, the volume matters quite a bit. It is a very good indicator of how popular and frequently searched a topic is, which can help you decide what videos you should make about and in what priority. )
If you have used one of the tools above to find popular topics, you can identify keywords that fit your video topic by writing them down or exporting a list. Keep reading this article for tips on using keywords to rank higher.
Keywords aren't everything, but carefully researching them is definitely a good start in the world of YouTube SEO.
2. Optimize your video titles
Once you have your keywords, you can start optimizing your videos in different ways to improve your YouTube rankings.
One of the easiest ways to do this is to include your keywords in the title of your video.
However, with 400 hours of video material uploaded to YouTube every minute (!), one keyword alone is not enough to significantly boost your SEO value on YouTube.
Your video title must be enticing. It must tell YouTube users: "Click here!"
A good way to do this is to promise something: "Can you tell my viewers something?" "Will you entertain them?" "Let them know what they're going to see."
Your video title must be enticing. It must tell YouTube users: "Click here!"
A good way to do this is to promise them something: "Can you tell my viewers something?" "Will you entertain them?" "Let them know what they're going to see." Check out these results for the keyword "Instagram hack":
The YouTube videos that rank high for this keyword promise to teach their viewers something new. And of course, they have the keyword right there in every video.
But there's also a little extra explanation: the title "Instagram Hack" isn't enough to get views, and neither is "I'll teach you Instagram Hacks."
You need to think deeper.
: Let your viewers know exactly how many hacks you'll teach them, or promise something specific and popular, like in the second video in the example above.
Including these promises in your video titles, without going over the character limit, is a great way to generate clicks.
And what happens when YouTube's search algorithm finds you? You'll show up better in YouTube search results. This is because YouTube's automated algorithm has detected that a lot of people think your content answers their questions.
3. Optimize your video description
In addition to optimizing your title, you should also optimize your video description.
While the title is primarily intended to grab the attention of potential viewers, you can also make your description a bit more detailed.
YouTube will display the first 125 characters of your description, but we recommend that you aim to write double that, to 250 characters if possible. YouTube also recommends putting your most important keywords at the beginning of your video description.
Of course, it's not just about the algorithm. Your viewers will read this too, so keep an eye on their engagement. Writing exclusively for robots is never a good idea.
A link to the creator's website will appear right away. Below that are several long paragraphs about the video, including the video title and the keyword from the first sentence (building an online business).
A unique, optimized description like this helps YouTube understand what your video is about and serve it to the right people.
4. Insert the correct tags.
After you've inserted your keywords in the title and description, you should also insert them in the tags section.
Tags are for YouTube's reference only, so viewers won't see what they contain. And to be completely honest, it's been hotly debated how much weight these actually have in YouTube's algorithm, and the general consensus is "not much." But it happens so quickly that it's child's play.
Add as many variations of keywords and search terms as you can think of.
If we stick to "Instagram hack" examples, here are seven you can use:

Social Media Tips
Note You don't have to be super specific.
There's a Chrome extension for YouTube called TubeBuddy.
Among its many other features, it has keyword ranking tracking, which determines search rankings for different tags so you can use the best tags for SEO.
You could also consider an app like VidIQ to see what tags your competitors are using. Using the same tags as your competitors will help your video appear in the "up next" section when someone watches your video, helping you to get noticed.
5. Create an Engaging Script
You might be tempted to skip this point.
After all, a script can be wooden and awkward, and you want to seem natural and spontaneous, right?
An engaging, well-written script can actually increase the chances of coming across as natural and spontaneous, while preventing you from getting distracted and losing your audience.
A script can help you tighten up your language, eliminate "um," "uh," and "where was that?", and capture your audience's attention. This also means you can create videos more quickly, freeing you up to focus on producing more content.
A 2015 study by AdAge (way back in the days of video marketing) found that marketers have just 10 seconds to captivate and delight their audience.
Their study also found that if a viewer isn’t fully engaged within the first 30 seconds, you could lose 33% of them. Remember, this was 2015; it’s even harder today.
So make sure you create a script with a short, compelling introduction that gets straight to the point and makes it clear why your viewer should stick around. Think of it as an extension of your title. Make a promise at the beginning that you'll keep to the end.
Another quick tip – say your target keywords in your video. YouTube is getting better and better at automatically "listening" to and transcribing your videos. Ideally, say your target keywords early on and several times – in a natural way that sounds natural to a human viewer, of course – and you might just boost your rankings a little.
6. Start creating longer videos
Contrary to popular belief, longer videos actually perform better on YouTube than shorter videos. Enter a keyword or phrase into YouTube. The highest ranking videos are usually very long,
. In fact, it is widely believed that YouTube uses watch time as a ranking factor. If you think about it, it makes sense. The longer the watch time, the more engrossed you are, the more likely you are to watch more videos, and the more likely you are to see ads. This means that YouTube is also commercially successful. !!!
The longer the watch time of a video, the higher the chance of ranking. Of course, this means that YouTube prefers long, engaging videos that viewers watch for a long time.
However, this does not mean that you should try to make your video as long as possible. It just means that you tend to answer questions completely and comprehensively, rather than splitting your video into five parts.
If your video is long and comprehensive, yet still engaging enough to attract viewers, YouTube will definitely take notice and your ranking will improve.
7. Increase Engagement
There's a reason why every YouTube video seems to end with this sentence: "If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to hit the Like button below and subscribe for more content..."
… or some variation of it.
Not only does this help grow a creator's audience and make it easier to reach previous viewers with future content, it also sends healthy SEO signals. Think about it: every like, comment, and subscription is a vote of confidence in your content. It's saying: That was awesome. Check out this graph:
It's based on a study of 1.3 million YouTube videos by Backlinko founder Brian Dean, and it shows a clear correlation between video comments and YouTube rankings.
Increasing engagement is one of the easiest YouTube SEO tips to implement and can significantly improve the performance of your YouTube content.
8. Create an interesting video thumbnail
Viewers only see two things before clicking on your video: the video title and the video thumbnail. And thumbnails are very important because visual information is processed 60,000 times faster than text.
YouTube automatically assigns a thumbnail for your video, which is just a random excerpt from the video.
To stand out, you need to use unique, attention-grabbing imagery that will get people clicking. Check out these examples:
Each thumbnail is chosen to grab the viewer's attention: the presenter looks directly into the camera, and on-screen text reiterates what the video is about. Illustrated elements in contrasting colors in the thumbnail grab attention and make it look professional.
In some ways, you can think of YouTube's SERPs as a digital storefront: you sell your content, and searchers spend time on it. You need to stand out in all the SERPs by providing the best, most professional, thorough content on the topic they're looking for.
This encourages people to click on your video. (Warning, we're not excited!) A high click-through rate will boost your rankings significantly, as it gives YouTube's algorithm even more of a chance to see "this is clearly the best content" on this topic.
9. Create Playlists
Playlists are a great way to increase the total watch time on your channel because they play automatically. This means that instead of viewers watching just one video, they're likely to watch 5-6 other videos.
Again, watch time is super important for YouTube SEO.
To create a playlist, you need to group several videos with a similar theme or theme together, like this:
: It also helps to reach out to people who create similar content as you (but not your competitors!) and ask them to add your video to one of their playlists. The more playlists your video appears in, the better.
Here's an example of what you might say:
"Hey [name],
I love your channel!" I thought your last video on [topic] was really interesting because [add complex content to show interest].
I think my videos are pretty similar to yours, so adding some of my content to your playlist might help keep viewers on your channel. Here are some videos that I think fit this description:
[insert left]
Tell me which videos I should add to my playlist.
Good luck!
[Your Name]"
When you reach out to these people, make sure you tell them why it would be a good thing for them. You don't want them to think you're just asking for a favor. By adding your video to a playlist, you're catering to a need of your audience and increasing their watch time. It also helps to offer to add their video to your own playlist. It's a kind of deal.
: 10. Add subtitles
YouTube videos can support subtitles to help people with hearing problems.
An added benefit of these subtitles is that they can improve your YouTube SEO, as they are crawled by YouTube and Google. YouTube can automatically add subtitles to your videos, but this usually involves errors.
To get your captions indexed and good for YouTube SEO, you need to either edit the captions YouTube provides based on the transcription of your video file, or upload your own captions. Here's how to do it
The 3 Best SEO Tools for YouTube
Another good news is that you don't have to do this alone. There are plenty of software tools out there to help you master video SEO like a pro. Here are the top five...
Keyword Research: Ahrefs Keyword ExplorerAhrefs is the industry leader in keyword research and is also great for YouTube research. Keyword Explorer can help you find keywords to rank for and get ideas for new videos.
Channel Management: TubeBuddy

Heights:
Cobra - 5'8 ½ (174 cm).
Hyuga - 5'8 (173 cm).
Murayama- 5'10 (Between 177 cm and 178 cm, depending on the site).
Rocky - 5'11 (180 cm).
Smoky - 5'9 (175 cm).
Jesse - 5'7 (170 cm).
So Cobra is about a half inch taller, since some sites list his height as 5'8 ½ or 5'8 ¼ depending on the site you read. But he's slightly taller than Hyuga.
I was actually conversation with someone before about the types of women (or partners in general terms) that the characters of High&Low would end having a preference for.
About Rocky.. You basically said everything we did for him. I don't see a man like Rocky discriminating against any woman. And, regardless of personality, I imagine him as a protective over her like he is with women. Because Rocky has his multiple successful businesses (with Club Heaven being only one of the businesses), along with his fashion sense, the man will definitely have money - so he's definitely gonna spoil his partner. Since he is a romantic, I could also imagine him spoiling them with other gifts (flowers, candy, clothes, jewelry). I see him as affectionate in a more private setting rather than public, but if by a chance that he is affection in public, basic affection like you said - holding hands, quick kisses, an arm around her waist. Like in season two, when Rocky's with that ugly girl in Club Heaven. Which also easily leads me to mentioning his kinks too, but that's just a topic for another time. So Rocky's easiest for me. Not usually into romantic men, but I could easily be projecting my romantic fantasies for him though. Rocky's the ideal romantic man type.
Exactly! Cobra is definitely the ones I'm having way too many complications trying to figure out. But I'd have to agree.. Even if she is not a physical fighter, I imagine being with a woman who's a fighter in ways where she will fight to protect what matters most - someone who stands up for her beliefs. A confident woman. Not sure about appearances though. Maybe like Rocky? Possibly someone who isn't too picky about appearances, maybe someone who will fit his personality. But that's all I can see too. Not so sure about anything else. Cobra's a complex man.
Exactly! That's what I was thinking. I imagine Yoshi being with a woman who's like his best friend at the same time. Either she matches his personality, like, y'know, the female equivalent of him in every way it could be known. But I could also imagine opposites attract types of personalities too, to some extent, in a way. But it depends on their exact personality for the connection to work. She doesn't have to be this physical fighter, but I also think Murayama actually love if she was. So he really seems more adaptable.
For Hyuga. That's what I was thinking. A personality similar to his.. The badass type of woman. Whether she's a physical fighter or not, she'll probably have a strong attitude. Confident. Intelligent. But if written well, an opposites attract could possibly happen.
And you already know what I said about Smoky's type of woman. Not that there's much to go on for his character though.
Talking with someone about original characters is kinda helping me be more focused.. Helping me to piece out, figure out, a lot more details for them the more I talk to someone about them. Maybe the "speaking aloud" concept, your thoughts makes more sense when you speak about these thoughts (or write these thoughts down).
I already have four characters. I've thought about all the other groups, character, so on and so forth. But it feels like there might be too many characters if I'd do that. And I'm still figuring out these characters.
Oh! Yeah. I forgot to say this last time. I thought the same thing as you.. I already told you that there is a person who's using Aya Asahina (similar to Kuina in AIB) as her face claim. If her character had the hair, the dreadlocks, my first thought was that she could have been related Tettsu. But she is in no relation to other characters in a family relationship.
Tao's character is another option. Because Usagi's a rock climber, parkour, she could fit as a Rude Boy if you ever wanted to use her. Or whoever you use for that character. That was just a thought.
I've been watching a lot of Korean series lately. So if this movie seems interesting to me, I might actually watch it. But no promises though.
Random off topic question. And I don't mean this in a sexual way either. Did you ever see Nijiro shirtless before? Because I saw shirtless pictures before.. He is slightly hairier than I thought he would be. Not in a bad way! Obviously guys have body hair so that is not surprising. But, for him, he has a bit more hair than I imagined him having. If that makes sense.
i just know hyuga would hate being known as the shortest sword leader. it’s one centimetre and hyuga is silently pissed. he’d be fine if he’d ever managed to beat cobra in a fight, but he couldn’t even do that.
rocky feels like an easy one. i think it definitely comes down to personality for him and how they mesh. but really, any kind of girl. i think rocky likes to pamper and money is no object. i can see him with a girl who likes to buy things and then show them off to him like ‘here’s what i bought!’; but can also see him with a girl who’s shy about spending his money so he happily buys things for her.
cobra is so difficult to figure out for someone who has so much screen time. appearances are difficult to me, because i don’t know how dudes think and i’ve got a lesbian brain that goes ‘all girls pretty’. cannot discern anything it into a ‘type’. i do think cobra, rocky and probs smokey too at least would lean more on the side of personality over looks, though all three would dole out compliments. also i remembered that there’s that scene of cobra going to buy himself a cupcake and i think it’d be cute if he had a gf who likes to bake.
genuinely think that being a fighter is all it takes to be s.exy to murayama; doesn’t matter about gender, if you can brawl, he’s like ‘ur hot’. but yeah, if not a total energy-matching gf, he needs one that supports him. someone who tries to keep him out of trouble and out of fights i feel would dampen his spirits. like sure, be worried if you must (though he’d be confused bc he’s a ‘great fighter’, he ‘never loses’), but trying to stop him from doing what he does would probably depress him in the long run. i really do just like the thought of him having a lil gf who dotes on him after his fights; she’s cleaning up his hands, and he just smiles and leans in to give her a lil kiss on the cheek or forehead.
hyuga and a similar-personality gf are such a loud couple. just confident and cocky and you see em and are just like ‘yea of course those two would get together’. like insufferably into each other. but! hyuga with an opposite-personality is such an interesting - and kind of funny - concept. i’m definitely leaning more towards favouring the former, but the latter is something i could enjoy if done well.
i am so very soft about the idea of smokey with a big-sister-to-nameless-city type gf. they’re the ‘parents’ to nameless city. im imagining them as childhood sweethearts. smokey dies and she never dates again because he was ‘the one’ for her :( she tells all the kids stories about smokey and keeps his grave tidy and never lets his memory die :( :(
that’s what i meant! it really does help to talk about ocs - or even the characters around them - to develop them more. you can really muddle out the details when you’re talking and writing stuff down, because sometimes you get to talking about something you wouldn’t have otherwise thought about.
i’m trying to keep to developing one oc at a time to not get overwhelmed. so right now i’ve got one mostly developed oc and one oc idea.
i was half-thinking of a hyuga oc and thought aya would make a good fc for her (then the takeshi oc came along and im on her now) (i also didn’t want to step on any toes with it being such a small fandom and there already being a popular oc with an aya fc). imagining her as tettsu’s sister is a lil funny. i’m just imagining a scene like:
cobra, at the end of a sword meeting: … *sigh* hyuga, tettsu would like to request you stop dating his sister.
hyuga: no ❤️
i dont know that i’d actually make her tettsu’s sister, though the image is funny, but i also think it’d be funny if they weren’t related and just looked so alike and they just *spiderman pointing meme* at each other.
i do think tao would make a good nameless city character. now i’m imagining her as the aforementioned big-sister character. her and smokey would be cute together. i’m still thinking of using yuri and her aib character’s amputated leg, since there’s quite a few videos of people doing parkour while having amputated legs so it’s not out of the question. and, since the aib character made it in the borderlands and it’s not an actual prosthetic, it looks like something they could have rigged together for her in nameless city out of spare parts.
i enjoyed it - it is a horror movie though, just as a warning, and can be kind of intense at times. it’s an entertaining watch if you’re into horror/psychological thriller movies. wi ha joon is totally excellent in it.
t.iktok and pinterest love to throw pictures of shirtless men at me after i’ve just been looking at their show/movie characters. nijiro does have a very defined happytrail. i think it’s surprising mostly because you usually don’t see a lot of east asian guys with body hair. i mean, look at the exile guys whenever they have their shirts off in music videos, they’re all very smooth.

Are there any substories with Seofon? I got interested in him but at the time with the alt! version I couldn't understand anything and more or less skipped it all LOL. Do we get more of him? Or it is just all his cheerful personality to hide the fact that he is clever? And can I kiss him?
oh yeah he appears in a few things!
the one way to figure it out is going in the Journal.
The easiest way to do it if you have alt!Seofon with you is, go to Seofon's page in your inventory, and then scroll down, you'll see a button called "Journal entry"
it will show you both of his units as well as every stories he appeared in
when an event is in the side stories, you can click on it and it'll redirect you to it, if it's not, if you missed the event you can't access it :( but if you skipped the event story or read it, you can still read it by clicking on those.
Poacher's day and Bzzt Amped Up Summer are in the side stories, but they're light hearted summer events so it won't be a deep dive on his character.
Seeds of Redemption is in the side stories, and he has a more serious storyline here.
Everything else is pretty recent so none of it is in the side stories as of yet :(
if you were around in time for "... and you", maybe you were lucky? to catch and hopefully skip? Old Bond, which is the official prequel to "... and you", this is where you'll have Seofon be super serious (he picks a fight with Lu Woh on this one it's fun)
The rest of the event are mostly fun lighthearted events where he doesn't have a lot of focus (in the Mermaid Princess, he legit have a 5 slides cameo so :/). Sweltering Eternal Getaway focus a bit more on him though since it's him setting up a holiday for all the Eternals at Albert and Yurius's hot springs. though in term of serious it focus more on Yurius and Seox.
else the best way to know about Seofon is to have his base sSR recruited and read his fate episode, because, huh, here's the FE list: (the list is only available if you have his base SSR though)
Eternals have. a lot of fate episodes.
As to how Seofon is, he is the most powerful swordfighter of the skies who founded the Eternals to keep the most powerful fighters in check in an organization he can control, so none of them would cause problems.
He's cheerful and fun and is often bullied around by his peers, but mostly he just lets it happen because he is, actually, really smart and manipulative. He sets up situations in a 5D Chess mentality, always having 10 steps ahead of literally everyone else. and he doesn't trust people easily so he carries it all with himself.
Alt!Seofon in ...and you basically show us how someone this powerful and this smart and this manipulative would turn out, if instead of dedicating his life in protecting the Skies at all cost, he kept going with his greed for power. with the kicker that, if Seofon *did* give in to his greed for power, then his alt self would have broken reality itself so much so that he can influence other timelines. That's what Alt!Seofon represents and why he's so scary, because he made his way to OUR Seofon's mind, because he's that powerful.
I'd say his appearance in Old Bond is the best representation of that. He's cheerful and sweet and teasing and kind with MC in particular, but the more you look at his actions, the more you see he's setting pieces on a chessboard, and that he can become dangerous at the blink of an eye. ... and you strengthens this later on.
Hope it helps!

How To Select A Top-Notch Software Development Company For Your Project?
You have made the decision to use customized software. Now, the motivation behind it might be anything, such as smoothing business operations or growing the organization’s scope and size. From managing transactions to database analysis, a software solution does it all. Every business now uses software to gain a competitive edge over other companies. To fulfill the customer’s demands and make tasks convenient for them, business owners are looking to have the best software in their hands.
However, software development is not as simple as it sounds. You have to decide on several important variables before starting the app development process since they might have a big influence on how your product is developed. The most essential aspects are your preference for the development resources that work best for you, app development methodologies, and targeted platforms. Selecting the ideal software development agency is crucial since it determines how successful your software development project will be. There are many firms out there. Finding the best company for you is like finding a needle in the hay. Don’t worry, though; this post discusses the best practices for selecting a software development partner. A quick read will help you choose the company that best suits your project needs.
Tips To Pick A Software Development Company For Your Next Project
1. Before Searching, Finalize Your Requirements
The first and perhaps most important aspect of this is to have your requirements crystal clear. It is very important to have an in-depth understanding of your company’s goals and requirements. Finalizing your requirements will help you find the most suitable software solutions company for you. Here’s the checklist!
Identify the goals.
Identify the software that you need.
Figure out the requirement as per the company’s needs.
What domains will it help?
Are your needs short-term or long-term?
What is your economic prospect?
Which department will benefit from the software?
Do you just need a website or an application as well?
Who is the ideal target audience?
What can users expect from your product?
2. Research And Analysis
The next part of the process is to carry out research and analysis. There are numerous companies out there, with the current infrastructure being built around the IT sector. Researching and analyzing makes it easier to choose the company with the best software developer and other related resources. There are several ways to research companies, from searching on the Internet to getting referrals.
Website:
The easiest way to get the information as soon as possible is by surfing through various online platforms and sites to find the right software development services company for you. There are various sites that you can use, such as GoodFirms, Clutch, The Manifest, Google Search, and LinkedIn.
Reference and Recommendation:
Rather than spending time researching, you can ask your colleagues, clients, competitors, and friends for recommendations. As they are in the same industry, you will get honest reviews and opinions from them. Taking suggestions from them will help you narrow down the list.
Portfolio and Reviews:
You can differentiate between software service providers by analyzing their portfolios. You can review the company’s achievements, products, and services, which will help you scrutinize the company’s potential. You can go through their clients’ reviews for getting feedback on their work, which will be the most unfiltered review that you will get. You’ll find such reviews on their websites and LinkedIn, which will help to highlight the company’s customer feedback and satisfaction.
3. Conduct An Interview
After shortlisting the candidates, set up a meeting with the shortlisted software development services. It is of the utmost importance to have an open and transparent conversation between the parties. In the meeting, ask whatever questions you have to get clarity on their services. One-on-one conversations will help you analyze the company’s service quality. These are some of the queries and questions that you can ask your potential candidates.
Can you give any samples of related projects you’ve worked on?
How do you assure quality in your software development process?
How do you handle communication as well as project management?
How familiar are you with the technology we want to use?
Can you share references from former clients?
What are your charges and the pricing models you offer?
How do you handle maintenance and support post-launch?
4. Look Over The Infrastructure
It is important to know about the company’s infrastructure – the system of the company and how it works. Understanding a company’s organizational structure and the work culture of its development team is essential. You ought to understand how a firm is structured, what functions various team members play, and how they collaborate. If the infrastructure is adequately networked, it can be enhanced to boost production, increase efficiency, and enhance communication. Take a look at some of the key considerations.
Hardware and software: To operate software development tools and applications, software development organizations need top-of-the-line computers, servers, and other gear. To create high-quality software, they also require the newest programming languages and software development tools.
Project management tools: Software development firms need effective project management solutions to oversee projects with ease, allocate work to team members, monitor progress, and interact with clients.
5. Transparent Conversation
Each development project must have effective communication in order to succeed. Choose a business that responds to your inquiries and concerns and communicates clearly and regularly. Effective communication is the key to the success of both parties.
If communication gaps are there, the company’s expectations are not fulfilled by the outsourcing partner and vice versa. There can be problems such as miscommunications, product requirements not getting fulfilled, not meeting deadlines, not getting constant updates, etc. So, in such cases, it is important for the enterprise and its outsourcing partner to have smooth and transparent communication. Transparent communication brings clarity, optimizes goals and objectives, and minimizes the need for back-and-forth clarification sessions.
The smaller the communication gap, the smoother the process will be. Both parties should have regular meetings, updates, reports, and constant communication. Also, you should pay attention to the points mentioned by the outsourcing partner.
Constructive Criticism: Constructive criticism is essential for the betterment of the company and its success. It helps you analyze the mistakes you made and what the customer wants, which will help you make the essential changes in the services. Constructive criticism is a sort of feedback that provides precise and practical suggestions to help employees succeed. They should be able to handle constructive criticism, and you should too.
6. Work Ethics
Work ethic refers to a system of moral principles and attitudes about what is and isn’t appropriate conduct at work. The corporate world of today is both quick-paced and fiercely competitive. So, possessing a sound work ethic is an added advantage. Team collaboration, timely delivery, and a positive attitude are important qualities to possess since they provide value to your organization.
Productivity: Maintaining attention and motivation can help workers be more productive. A strong work ethic can also aid employees. This can assist software development enterprises in completing tasks on schedule and within budget, which can boost client satisfaction and encourage referrals.
Quality: A company’s work ethic might influence the software they develop. Employees who are dedicated to creating high-quality software and who have a strong work ethic increase the likelihood that the business will offer goods that meet or exceed consumer expectations.
7. Keep Delivery Time In Mind
Given that it may significantly affect your firm’s operations, delivery time is a crucial factor to take into account when selecting a software development firm. A lot of things depend on the timely release of the software. On-time assistance is also required as per the project’s requirements. These are some reasons why delivery time matters.
Meeting deadlines: For your business operations to run successfully, meeting project deadlines is essential. Your firm might suffer serious setbacks as a result of delivery delays, including lost opportunities, lost income, and reputational harm.
Budget: Your project’s overall cost may rise as a result of delivery delays, including additional development costs and missed income possibilities. You may save money by hiring a development agency that can deliver your project on time and within budget.
Time-to-market: Getting your product to market quickly might be the key to remaining one step ahead of the competition in the fast-paced business world of today. You may get a competitive edge by working with a software development firm that can produce a high-quality solution quickly.
Customer satisfaction: Your consumers’ satisfaction with your goods and services can be enhanced by working with a software development agency that can provide a high-quality product on schedule. Customers that are happy with your services are more likely to stick around and refer your product to others.
In a nutshell, delivery time is an important factor to take into account when selecting a software development company. It can impact your business operations, revenue, and customer satisfaction. You can accomplish your business objectives and stay one step ahead of the competition by selecting a firm that can offer a high-quality product within the set deadline.
8. Focus On Concerns About Security And Safety
Companies that build software must prioritize security. Companies should safeguard user data, avoid cyber attacks, keep customers’ trust, and adhere to regulations & compliances, by putting strong security measures in place.
Confidentiality: Confidentiality is an essential aspect of maintaining customer trust. Development companies often handle sensitive user data, such as personal information, payment details, and login credentials. Confidentiality is essential to protect this data from unauthorized access and prevent data breaches. A software development agency that is transparent about its data protection policies and takes measures to keep data confidential can build and maintain customer trust.
Non-disclosure agreement: A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is a contract that specifies the conditions of secrecy for any sensitive information disclosed between a client and a software development business. It helps prevent data breaches by outlining the terms of confidentiality and the consequences of unauthorized disclosure.
9. Post-Deployment Assistance
Post-launch support is a crucial component of the software development life cycle since it makes sure the program keeps meeting users’ demands and performs as planned. With constantly changing user needs, bugs cropping up, and the need for updates, it is essential to keep your software updated. Companies should request information about the flexibility of possible post-development support.
You have to discuss the scope of support required, including what types of issues will be covered, the level of support required, and the expected response time. After that, establish a support process that outlines how users can report issues, how issues are prioritized, how they are escalated if necessary, and how they are resolved. You have to keep the software up-to-date with the newest security updates and feature additions in order to help ensure that it continues to meet user needs and remains secure. You have to maintain regular communication with software companies to keep them informed about the software’s performance and any updates or changes that you want to make. Hence, you must check with your would-be software development partner, whether the company is going to provide such services.
Final Thoughts
Selecting the ideal offshore development business that can meet your unique objectives won’t be easy. The process of hiring a software development service is lengthy and involves planning beforehand. You need to consider and pay special attention to a number of factors, which we have mentioned in this post. These suggestions will assist you in finding the finest bespoke development business that suits your goals and budget and will help you make a clear decision.

How to Apply For Business Loan
Business Loans
Businesses may borrow money for many different purposes. Expansion, cash flow, property, equipment and assets, or many other worthwhile purposes. When looking at borrowing money for a business loan, it is important to not just go in prepared, but to also have a holistic approach to how the funds are going to help the business unit in the short term, long term, and for alignment to organisational goals and objectives.
Business Financials
Depending on the loan, will depend what financials you need. It is always helpful to chat with business loan brokersfirst. This will help you know what types of documents you need. Generally for a full doc loan, this would be bank statements, 2 years of financial statements, all tax lodgements up to date, and an accountant who can assist in qualifying documents. Low doc business loans may come with a slightly higher interest rate, but can be much easier to apply for, with less documentation needed. For Low Doc Business Loans this could be as simple as some ID documents, and bank statements. It can also depend on the loan requirement as a secured loan will also need details on the asset being financed.
Business Purposes
The purpose of the loan will dictate many terms and details of the finance. A lender may not just look at the actual asset itself, where a secure mortgage is applied for, but also the general market conditions, the industry, and how the asset fits into the business type. Unsecured business loans will also have lenders considering these factors, but are generally less onerous, and for smaller amounts a simple substantiation of what the funds will be used for can suffice – without needing official quotes and expert statements.
Secured Business Loans
Generally, secured business loans australia will offer a lower interest rate, but may need full doc applications due to the usual size of the finance needed. Depending on the loan size, low doc options do exist, but the total amount available for financing, may be less than a full doc equivalent. For what can be secured, lenders will consider almost any type of asset, as long as it can be registered somehow even if this is just a serial number. Remember that the lender is taking security of the asset, so in the event of a default may have the right to acquire the asset, and still leave the borrower liable for any additional amounts owing, on top of the asset sale. You may also be able to utilise a current residential or other property with a cash out (equity release) or other way to utilise your current assets to secure business funding.
Unsecured Business Loans
Unsecured business loans are some of the easiest to apply for. There are still some strict criteria though, so these should not be seen as just easy money. Generally, a minimum time in business will exist, and bank statements will need to be cited as well as a list of any other business debts. The main benefit of a low doc business loan is not needing tax returns, and the ability to use the latest figures when calculating borrowing power. This can especially help for businesses that may have had a severe drop off during COVID shutdowns, but can show a good three plus months of recent revenue figures.
How To Apply For A Business Loan
Once you have worked out whether you want secured or unsecured, it is usually the best option to go speak to a business finance broker. They can assist in workshopping the application for you, discuss any potential shortfalls and how to mitigate them, and then work with the appropriate lenders to arrange the best rate and terms for your situation. A business loan broker should be able to not just assist with the loan prep, but also with the application through to settlement. Most business lenders can be very fast in supplying funds once approved, with most loans able to be settled within 24 hours once loan application has been approved, and any remaining conditions met.
Business Loan Summary
Appropriate business lending can be highly useful to a business, by being able to bring forward advantages from acquiring cashflow or assets other than would be possible (without finance). It is important to consider the finance as to the greater business whole and ensure the business will benefit from the finance sought both now and in the future. By ensuring these steps are completed, a business can find debt highly useful, and not fall into the debt traps that businesses can easily find themselves in. Talk to your business loan broker today for your free pre-assessment, and see how a business finance loan may benefit your organisation today.

How to Study Abroad With Scholarship
If you are planning to how to study abroad with scholarship, you might be thinking of a scholarship. Although they can be expensive, many can help you get the education you deserve without breaking the bank. You will have to apply for the elusive award and the process can be lengthy. However, if you follow a few simple steps, you should be able to find the financial aid you need.
First, you will want to make a list of the study abroad scholarships that interest you. This will include those from your home university and those from other institutions. It is also a good idea to contact the Office of Student Financial Aid to learn more about what is available.
Next, you will need to decide on a destination. For instance, if you are looking to study in Germany, you can look into a government scholarship. These are typically awarded to students with financial need.
Lastly, you need to make a budget. Studying abroad can be an expensive endeavor, so you will need to cut back on your spending before you depart. A smart savings strategy can help you make your dreams a reality.
The best way to determine if you have the funds to travel is to check the financial aid office at your home school. Some schools offer free tuition for international students. Also, if you are a current resident of a particular state, you may be eligible for a grant from that state's government.
Once you have narrowed your choices, you should start the application process. This is a rite of passage for any aspiring student, so it is important to start early. Be sure to read the fine print, though, and take note of any terms and conditions.
As you can see, it can be a challenge to figure out the best way to go about getting a scholarship to study abroad. Luckily, there are plenty of scholarship providers willing to give you a helping hand. In addition, many of these programs distribute their awards in installments over the course of the year. So, you will have time to make the most of your award.
One of the easiest ways to do this is to ask around. You should also contact your professors and academic advisors. They can give you an idea of the best places to look.
In fact, they might even be able to tell you which study abroad scholarships are best suited for your needs. If you aren't quite sure which study abroad program is right for you, the Office of International Education may have more information.
While there are several scholarships to consider, there is no need to apply for them all. Applying for just one or two is a great way to find out if you are a candidate for the best awards.
You should also take a close look at the application you have to fill out. There are some who require you to answer questions about your previous study abroad experiences. That said, you should still leave yourself enough time to complete your application. Getting a scholarship can be a life-changing experience, so you don't want to miss out on the opportunity. I’ve seen a lot of lists for “hey, if you’re here from Twitter, here’s what you need to know,” so here's a bit of my own advice.
You’ll learn the culture 100x faster if you follow a few hundred blogs, reblog from them without tacking on anything, and just read what shows up on your dash. Guidelines are great and all, but having to remember a checklist is hard. So, some simple step-by-step instructions:
Personalize your blog Get some picture besides the default as your icon. Doesn’t matter what it is, maybe a meme or something, it just can’t be a geometric shape with a few dots. Also worth noting, you technically CAN use a selfie for your icon, but people will give you weird looks. We more or less don’t do that here (99.99% of the blogs that do this are porn bots). If you can’t decide on an icon/header, etc, then at least put “New here, haven’t figured out the site yet” or something to that effect in your bio. We block blank blogs here, because they’re usually bots.
Pick a fandom and go on a following spree This is the easiest way to fill up your dashboard. Search whatever fandom you want, find artists in that fandom, and follow them. Rinse and repeat as many times as necessary, and your dashboard will be full of things you enjoy. If you’re like me and are constantly refreshing looking for new content at 4am, you’ll need to follow 1000+ blogs. If you’re more interested in searching things than having your dash bring you content, keep it around 100 to 300.
Reblog things without commentary Tumblr is a VERY different culture to Twitter, and if you’ve been on Twitter a long while, you’ll have habits around how you interact with people. The two generally do NOT mix well. I’m sure you’ve seen by now the posts like “reblogs are good, likes are worthless” or “don’t censor things in your tags” or “don’t tag like Twitter.” Genuinely, the best way to speedrun getting used to this place is to reblog things you like without adding onto them, and learning the culture by reading the posts on your dash. Once you’re confident that you know how we do things here, go ahead and sprinkle in some tag rambles or Tumblr memes, but that adjustment time is going to be different for everybody.
Scroll through your dash No, really. If you’re bored, take a tour through the recent posts of the people you’ve followed. You’ll find good artwork, cool stories, funny moments, and everything in between, but most importantly, you’ll start building those habits we regulars on Tumblr learned awhile ago, like which memes are a genuine response (Apollo’s dodgeball and red for color theory, currently) and how people tag things here.
Curate your dash Everyone’s pretty much been screaming it from the top of their lungs, but there is no algorithm here. The dash you have is the one you make from the people you follow. This means that you’re responsible for the company you keep. If you see a post you dislike, unfollow them. If someone’s going on a fandom spree that annoys you, unfollow. Point of view you don’t agree with? Unfollow. You can block for the same reasons, and block liberally. On top of this, you can filter out terms and tags in your settings. This is a link to it on desktop; scroll down and you’ll see an entire section titled “Content you see.” On mobile, you can find it by clicking the little person icon in the bottom right, then the settings wheel in the corner of your blog. From there it’s “General settings,” then scroll down a bit to “Content you see” and click it.
And that’s the easiest way to cozy up in this place.
If you’re worried about things not to do, everyone will give you a different list, but here are a few universal faux pas:
Sending hate Sending hate in the ask box is, unfortunately, something this site is known for, but doing so here tells everyone that can see it that you’re an obsessed child. If you do it on anon, you look even worse, even if you can technically “get away with it.” A mature Tumblr user doesn’t send hate no matter what; they block the user they dislike and move on. If you get hate, block them. Yes, even if they’re on anon. It blocks their IP address from sending you anything on anon, forcing them to use their real username if they actually want anything to get through.
Negative commentary Things along the lines of “I don’t even like this show, but-” are not compliments. They’re very discouraging to artists, and using them makes you look insensitive at best. If you want to convey “I don’t watch this show, but I like this art,” you can start it with “I don’t even go here, but-” instead. And if you want to criticize—don't. Genuinely, do not. It's the easiest way to get people not to like you here; if you don't have something nice to say about an art piece or fanfic, then just don't interact with it.
Censoring sensitive words The “content you see” feature on this site does its job and it does it well! If I, a Tumblr user, dislike the mention of “cleaning supplies,” I will block it. This means any post that contains “cleaning supplies” will be filtered from my dash. What this also means is that if you write it to get around this—for example, “clean*ng suppl*es,” “clea/ning sup/plies,” “cle@n!ng $uppl!es,” and so on, it will not be filtered, and I will have cleaning supplies on my dash despite my precautions. The only time you'll see someone doing this is if they don't want a specific user or term searched: squ/id-ink-per/sonal won't show up if I search my username, ze/lda won't show up in the "zelda" tag for that audience to see, etc. People on this site do not get terminated/shadowbanned for specific words. The closest we have ever gotten to that was when Apple tried to block sensitive content and made it so things like #girl wouldn’t show up on Apple devices. Which was a bug that was then fixed. Believe it or not, our moderation team is actually human, so if you’re terminated, it’s not because of some search-and-destroy program built into the site.
Now, before I go, here are some quality-of-life things to help you more easily use Tumblr’s features.
Only the first five tags on a post are indexed If I tag something #zelda, #loz, #fave mutuals, #ask bee, #worldbuilding, #you have no idea how long i spent on this, #i’m going to bed now then only the bolded tags are going to show up in the search results. Someone searching #i’m going to bed now won’t find my post, because it’s not in those first five tags.
You can change the color scheme of the site You’ll have to do it once on desktop and once on mobile, because the two platforms have different color schemes. On desktop, click the little person icon in the top right, then “Change Palette.” On mobile, tap the person in the bottom right, then settings wheel, “General settings,” “Color palette.” We have a lot more than dark and light mode!
You can insert links without interrupting your text Find whatever link you want to insert first, then highlight the word you want to turn into that link, press the “insert link” button, and paste it in. On desktop, it looks like a little infinity symbol. On mobile, it’s a little chain link icon. It lets you do cool things like this whenever you want.
Text can be colored! On mobile, it’s really, really easy to color text—just highlight what you want and the colors will pop up automatically. On desktop, it’s trickier to do, but we have a lot more options here: In the corner of your post, there’s a little settings wheel. Click that, then change “Rich Text” to “HTML.” Your page is going to look like weird code. This is normal. I recommend coloring text as the LAST thing you do because of this. Go here, type the text you want to color, and pick your colors out, then copy the HTML code at the bottom. Then go here, paste that in the box, and replace the “;” with nothing (I’m serious, nothing; not a blank space, just leave the “with this” box empty). Copy the semicolon-less code, go to the Tumblr post, and paste it in. It’s that easy! Fun fact, you can also do this in your desktop blog description, if you want; that little box is fully HTML-configurable.
And those are my starting tips! Have fun out there!

Space Girl- George Weasley
Space Girl, show me the stars You know the galaxies of my heart
George Weasley was not excited for his first astronomy lesson of the year. He'd agreed to do the class simply because he needed to fill his timetable and it seemed more enjoyable than history of magic.
That's what he had told Fred at least.
In reality he had opted for astronomy for one specific reason. Y/N Y/L/N. She was a shy Hufflepuff girl and although he had never spoken to her George was absolutely enamoured with her.
So, as he dreaded the lecture ahead he tried to remember that this cloud had a silver lining, and it was a silver lining that was absolutely worth it. This was all confirmed when he walked into the astronomy classroom and saw her.
She was sat at a desk at the back of the room. Her hair twirling round her finger as she studied the open text book in front of her, seemingly unaware of the chaos around her. George noted happily, that none of her friends seemed to be in the class and rather than asking to sit with Angelina and Katie like he had been planning he figured what the hell and went for it.
"Hey, is it alright if I sit here?" He questions, willing his cheeks to not flush red when he looks up at him
"Oh, of course you can George," she nods, moving her stuff to the left to make room for him. He feels his heart leap at her knowing that it was him and not Fred.
"How did you know?" He questions, head cocking to the side to look at her better. He smiles slightly at the bright red flush on her cheeks.
"You aren't that hard to tell apart," she shrugs
"Our own mother can't always do it," he pesters, he's genuinely intrigued how she seemed to know so easily.
"Uh, okay then. You're slightly taller so when you are together I could always work out who was who. From there I just kind of noticed little things, you have two freckles on your neck, Fred has a scar above his eyebrow. Your face is slightly longer, your nose is a little longer and has that cute little bump in it, your hair falls completely differently and your lip has a little curl in it. But the easiest way is that you have a different vibe about you," She rambles like it's the most obvious thing in the world and George himself wouldn't haven't been able to explain the physical differences so well.
He's pretty sure his heart melted on the spot.
"You should tell my mum all of this," he smiles gently, not knowing how to respond and explain that he's never felt more seen in his life.
"Sorry, I'm not a creep or anything I swear. Just observant,"
"It was quite sweet actually," George smiles, biting back a chuckle when her face blushes a bright red. "So, you any good at Astronomy?" He questions politely
"I'm okay. It's probably my best class. I've always known about it so," she shrugs, cutting herself off. She knew that George was a pure blood and probably wouldn't want anything to do with her if he knew she was a muggle born.
"You're a muggle born right?" He questions, she's surprised his tone doesn't sound angry or accusatory like was often the way with pure bloods, instead genuinely interested.
"Yeah," she confirms "my older sister is obsessed with astrology so I knew a lot about it before I got here. It's probably the only subject I didn't fail first term," she admits, George smiles softly. He can only imagine how hard it would be to come to the school with no magical knowledge.
"Look at you now, you're top of the year in almost everything," he points out
"Yeah, Ced helped me find my feet and after I settled in it all made sense," she explains. George knew that her and Cedric were best friends, he was a lot more outgoing and George had never quite understood how their friendship worked but it was no secret wherever one was the other wasn't far behind.
Girl, are you a cancer? 'Cause you make me cry When we kiss or dance in the sky We're dancing in the sky
"Hey space girl," George grinned brightly as he dropped into his seat
"If you've forgotten my name you can just ask you know," she blushes a little, not thinking that the boy she had fancied since second year could actually have given her a cute pet name.
No. The only logical explanation is that he had forgotten her name but after being sat next to her for two weeks now was much too polite to ask for it.
She had told Cedric this and he had laughed loudly, ruffling her hair and telling her that she would do well to remember how beautiful she was.
"I know you're name. Y/N Y/L/N. You're a Hufflepuff, obviously," he gestures to her tie before carrying on "Your best friend is Cedric Diggory and you two are always together. You tutor my little sister in potions. You help Professor sprout with the plants in the green house on a Sunday morning. You like to study in the library, specifically the second table from the back left corner. You never eat carrots but you love peas and you always buy two chocolate frogs at Honeydukes one for the walk back and one for a treat that night. I'm not a creep. I'm just observant," He finishes his ramble with a reference to when she had proved just how well she knew him a few weeks prior.
She sits, slightly astounded as he looks at her like his ability to list off so much information about her that she had never specifically told him shouldn't be a shock.
Her heart melts on the spot and she's pretty sure her crush just became real feelings.
"Why?" She questions quietly, not really meaning for him to hear
"You're beautiful and I like looking at you," he shrugs, turning to the text book in front of him. He notices her eyes still staring at him and turns to look at her "hey, you wouldn't want to study together one night this week would you?" He questions, smiling at the blush that overtakes her cheeks
"Yeah. I'd love that,"
"Amazing, does Wednesday work for you? I could meet you at the library after classes end,"
"Sure," she nods shyly, biting her lip to stop a smile and having no clue the very action makes George want to kiss her senseless.
"I know the table," he grins, chuckling when she blushes bright red before turning back to his book.
Space girl, I saw a lunar eclipse Looked like how I feel 'bout your lips Space girl, the only way that we'd end Was if you were sucked into a black hole
'You'll be fine. Just be your self and if he doesn't love you he is stupid,' Cedric's words ran around her head as she remembered sitting in his dorm whilst he calmed her down and Cho did her hair. She had protested to the couple that it wasn't a date but they had still insisted on helping her get ready during their free period after lunch.
Now, sat in the library she tried to remind herself that George was a lovely boy and wouldn't do anything to make her uncomfortable, he probably didn't even think of her like that.
"There's my space girl, you're looking particularly beautiful today," George is beaming as he approaches the table she's sat at, taking the seat next to her.
"Hey George, good day?"
"It's better now i'm here. Fred hasn't shut up about Millie all day, I mean I know he fancies her and all but seriously you'd think she hung the stars in the sky herself," He complains, not admitting even to himself that Fred would say he was just as smitten for his astronomy partner. "How was yours?" he asks, opening his bag to pull out his astronomy text book
"It was okay, Ced managed to blow up our potion so we have detention tomorrow night," She shrugs
"I'll see you there," He grins
"Why am I not surprised?" she deadpans and he allows his laugh to fill the air around them
"You know me to well," he blushes a little as he says it and forces himself to not stare at the way she bites her lip to stop from grinning. Half wanting her to stop so he could see that beautiful smile that seemed to be all he thought about and half wanting her to bite that lip every time he sees her because something about it was so attractive to him. "Do you mind explaining the constellation we learned about last lesson to me because I won't lie I was very distracted?" He doesn't feel like admitting that it was her that he found so distracting.
"Of course," She grins, unfolding her star map and pointing out the constellation Lyra "So Lyra is latin for Lyre, it is like a stringed instrument basically a harp, and it's associated with the myth of Orpheus," She begins to explain
"The musician guy?"
"Yeah," She confirms, watching as he takes notes of what she is saying "Orpheus was given the harp by Apollo, and it’s said that his music was more beautiful than that of any mortal man. His music could soothe anger and bring joy to weary hearts. Wandering the land in depression after his wife died, he was killed and his lyre was thrown into a river. Zeus sent an eagle to retrieve the lyre, and it was then placed in the night sky and that's the story behind the constellation Lyra. It's best seen in August, and, it kind of looks like a lopsided square with a tail to Vega, it's brightest star," She recites, pointing towards the star on the constellation.
George tries hard to remember to focus on what she's saying, listening intently but he can't help his mind from wondering, instead scanning her face, every small detail, the way her eyes lit up as she talked, the way her lips curl in a small smile when she stops talking and notices him staring at her.
"Distracted again," he admits
"Clearly, you find astrology boring," she teases
"No, I just find you distracting," He admits, his heart melting as she is unable to stop the bright grin on her face. She doesn't say anything, simply grabs her notebook and opens it to the right page
"Copy my notes so you can at least teach yourself the content, the textbook is confusing," she instructs before turning back to her own work. They work silently for the next hour, dutifully copying notes and planning for their essay that's due in next week but routinely stealing glances at each other, blushing when one catches the other.
But I'd still spend my days dreamin' 'bout you Dreamin' 'bout you Tell me how to Stop dreamin' 'bout you
"Were you listening to anything I just said?" Fred questions, waving his hand in front of his brother's face
"Sorry, what was it?" George questions, pulling his eyes away from the Hufflepuff table. Fred sighs, turning to look at what George has been staring at and is not surprised in the slightest.
She is sat amongst her large friend group, despite being shy around people she didn't know she was chatting happily to the group. Cedric on her right, is laughing at the story she seems to be telling and Archie Young, who George hated simply for his obvious crush on her, is clinging onto every word.
"You are so whipped,"
"I know, it's embarrassing. I can't stop thinking about her and she probably only sees me as a friend,"
"Hey, don't say that. She would be stupid to not like you Georgie, besides, she stares at you just as much," Fred reassures his brother, usually he would tease him but he knows that this girl is different, it means something. "I still don't believe that she would never get us mixed up," Fred ponders, in reality he didn't doubt it, if George said she could tell them apart then why doubt him, but Fred wanted a moment alone with the girl.
"I swear to you that she wouldn't,"
"Lets test her," Fred exclaims, jumping up and tugging his twin out of the hall and to their dorm.
They spend an hour getting ready, stealing Ginny's eyeshadow to draw two fake freckles on Fred's neck, stying his hair attempting to fix every minor detail to make them utterly identical.
When they find her, she's hugging Cho Chang before turning around on her own and walking towards the Hufflepuff common room.
"Go hide," Fred instructs, shoving George towards an empty classroom he can watch from.
"Hey space girl!" She turns immediately at the name, mildly confused when the person approaching isn't George.
She had never spoken to Fred before and immediately feels herself becoming a little shy.
"Uh, hi Fred," she smiles as politely as possible. Fred stands with a smirk on his face.
"You fancy my brother," he states, she blushes a furious red that seems to be the final confirmation Fred needs, his moment alone with her providing the answer he had wanted.
"I-uh-he-that-it-" she stutters out, Fred's smirk only grows as she turns impossibly more flustered before sighing "How did you know?"
"Telling us apart is hard, especially when we try, you must really like him to know so quickly. Besides that reaction alone was enough to let me know I'm right,"
"Does he know?"
"He's blind," Fred shrugs, eyeing her as he decides he likes her, she clearly cares for George and that's all that matters to him.
"Right," she nods awkwardly
"I'm sure I'll be seeing you around," Fred grins before turning on his heel and heading back up the corridor to where an oblivious George is waiting.
Girl, are you a Cancer? 'Cause you make me cry When we kiss or dance in the sky We're dancing in the sky
George can't help the wide smile on his face when he sees her. She, like all the other 6th year astronomy students, is sat in her robes on the astronomy tower despite it being 11:45. He picks up the star map from a pile and heads towards her.
She is sat around a corner, almost out of eye line from the class completely and if he hadn't been looking for her he probably wouldn't have even seen her. He sits down next to her, pressing his back against the cold stone wall just as she was doing.
The task was simple, to draw a diagram of the constellations they could see that night with the correct names onto an unlabelled star map and then from 6am tomorrow they had 48 hours to write an essay explaining each constellation they had found, it was their final assignment for the first term of school. George thought that was stupid, why would they do the task that involved sitting outside at night in December and the written exam in the summer when it would have been warmer.
"Hi," she speaks softly, the moonlight made her glow and George could have sworn she was an angel. Her own map was already a quarter full and wordlessly she arranges it so George can copy the notes she's already made.
"Hey, you okay?" he questions, noticing the way she curls into herself
"Just cold," she nods, he flashes her a smile, digging into his bag and pulling out a spare sweater and a blanket, both knitted by Mrs Weasley. He passes her the jumper
"Are you sure? you have it with you so that you won't freeze. I can't take it," she blushes
"No, I'm already wearing a jumper," he points out "I figured I'd bring a spare cause I knew you wouldn't think too," He adds with a smile, she blushes but accepts the jumper from his hands.
"thanks," she smiles, he nods. Watching as she pulls the jumper over her head. Her heart somersaults at the smell of George that envelopes her, his does the same at the sight of her in his jumper that looks baggy and too big, the sleeves like paws on her hands, and the large 'G' sewn into the front making him blush a little.
He wraps the blanket round one of his shoulders holding the other side out for her
"I don't bite," he speaks softly, it's like he can read her mind and knows she's thinking about how close they will be to sit under his blanket together. She blushes and giggles a little and George could die happy having heard that sound.
She shuffles closer, wrapping the blanket around her shoulder and begins to point out the constellations she's already mapped for him, cocooned next to him in the blanket.
They work together for the next twenty or so minutes as she stifles yawns, eventually allowing her head to droop onto George's shoulder when he teases her for stifling yet another yawn.
"This blanket smells like you," she mumbles, he blushes madly but can't help the smile
"Are you warm enough?"
"Bit cold, I'm fine though," she admits, he rolls his eyes at her as she shivers a little and wraps an arm around her, pulling her close to him
"Better?"
"Better," she confirms. She didn't mean to fall asleep but all cozy and warm being held by her crush it was impossible not to.
Not wanting to wake her, George finishes both his star map and hers before dozing off, his head resting on hers. He knew he should have woken her to go back to her dorm but spending the night sleeping with her in his arms was just too tempting.
She wakes up before him, having slept better than she ever had before and feeling utterly blissful in George's arms. That is until she realises she hadn't finished her work, she can't help the beam when she sees George has done it for her. She wants to stay wrapped in his arms but feels it better to leave now so it isn't awkward. In return for completing her work she takes her astronomy notebook that has all the answers to the essay written simply and leaves it on top of his star map, she knew the answers from memory anyway. Not even sparing the doodles and comments in it a thought.
She slips out of his hold, sneaking through the other students who fell asleep and heading back down the tower stairs to the main school, forgetting to take off his jumper.
George wakes up disappointed to not find her in his arms but smiles when he sees her notebook.
I hope you play this song some day And think of Earth Girl who loves Space Girl
George can't help the sigh as he explains to Fred where he had been all night.
"That all sounds pretty good to me Georgie," Fred comments, wondering why his brother seems down after his night with the girl.
"It was, I'd just hoped she'd be there when I woke up," he admits
"Well think about it like this, when have you ever had the opportunity to be disappointed that she wasn't there when you woke up before?" It's Hermione Granger who speaks up, she'd been listening to the twins talk on the sofa next to her and Harry's without really meaning too. It was just more interesting than Harry and Ron's discussion.
"you're right. It's better than nothing. Thanks Granger," he nods in agreement. He begins to flick through her notebook, not to study but simply enjoying the little doodles and her comments.
And then his world stops.
"How many people can you think of with the initials GW?" his questions is almost under his breath but Fred hears, perking up from the puking pastel plans he had been working on
"Just you and Gin, why?"
With no explanation George leaps up, jogging out of the room. Fred look mildly baffled until he sees her open notebook, and sure enough written on a corner amongst drawings of stars and planets is a little 'gw' with a heart next to it. Fred smirks and closes the book, turning back to his notes with a feeling of glee for his brother.
When George Weasley arrives outside the Hufflepuff common room he suddenly realises he has no clue how to actually get in, he stops, slightly out of breath from his sprint staring at the barrels.
"Hey George," her voice makes him jump as he turns to see her and Cedric approaching
"Hi," he smiles, suddenly not really sure what to say
"Well, now I've walked you back I'm going to go and find Cho," Cedric smiles politely at George, wiggling his eyebrows at the girl as she blushes.
"You looking for someone?" she asks politely
"You, actually,"
"Oh, what can I help you with?" she asks, he has no idea what to say "Oh! your jumper, it's in my room. You can come with," she smiles, reaching out and tapping at a barrel and then climbing into the passage that opens.
He follows wordlessly, glancing around the large circular room that is filled with yellows and blacks. She walks a little more confidently than he's seen before and smiles happily to the people who call out to her but doesn't stop to chat with them. He decides he likes it here, not only because it's so cosy but because he likes seeing her so at ease.
He follows her into her circular dorm room and towards a fourposter covered in pillows and blankets, his jumper sitting folded on top of the trunk at the end.
"I actually wanted to talk to you," he admits, it's now or never.
"Of course, what's up?" she questions, sitting comfortably on her bed and gesturing for him to sit down next to her
"I- well- how many people do you know with the initials GW?" he questions curiously, she looks at him, clearly mildly confused.
"Springing to mind just you and Ginny," She answers, not really sure what the point of his question is.
Without thinking for even a second he pulls her face to his and plants his lips on hers, kissing delicately before pulling away. She stares at him, utter shock in her eyes and mouth agape.
"I-I am so sorry. I just- well there were the initials GW in your notebook and a little heart and well I thought maybe you liked me back and then I heard you only knew me and Ginny and I assumed, which was wrong of me- and- merlin- I'm so sorry-" he's rambling anxiously and his hands wring through his hair
"Back?" her question is a whisper and he snaps his head up to look at her
"Yeah. I like you. Kind of thought that was obvious," he admits. His heart flips at the wide smile on her lips before her hands grab his neck and pull his head down so his lips meet hers. She kisses him with passion and hunger and he finally gets to bite down gently on that lip he's watched her bite a million times.
Her arms stay wrapped around his neck as she lies back on her pillows behind her, pulling him with her and not breaking the kiss for a second. They only pull apart when she needs to for air. But the beam on her face and her flushed cheeks make George want nothing more than to kiss her again.
"Wanna go do the essay together?" he questions
"We have 48 hours, we could stay here and cuddle," she suggests, a little timidly but her nerves leave when George grins brightly, kicking his shoes off and rearranging himself on her bed. She takes her own shoes off before climbing into his open arms, her head on his chest as she leans up to press another kiss to his lips.
"I'm keeping that jumper by the way," she informs
"Whatever you want space girl,"
I hope you play this song some day And think of Earth Girl who loves Space Girl I hope you play this song some day...

Give it time: ch2
A/N:
Some time ago I wrote this story about Loki seeing Steve flirt with you and getting jealous. It was fun to write it from Loki’s point of view. Here is what happened next, written from your point of view. While writing it I got the idea for another (and last!) chapter of the next day, written from Steve’s point of view. If you guys are interested. Hope you like it😉
Warnings:
Hurt/comfort
Comforting Loki
He cried.
You had never seen Loki cry. Sometimes he would tear up and on a rare occasions a single tear would fall down his cheek. But now he was sobbing against your chest, holding you extremely tight. For a moment you feared he would forget that he could crush you like a bug, but after a while the sobbing died down a bit and his grip around you loosened. Able to move, you put a hand on his cheek. Loki averted your gaze and hid it in the crook of your neck.
‘Loki?’ you asked.
He didn’t react. You held him tighter and stroked his hair. Whispering in his ear that it was okay and everything would be all right. That you were here with him and you weren’t going anywhere. After a while Loki stopped crying, but didn’t try to move. He had drank a lot, not normal alcohol, Asgardian alcohol. Thor had warned you before the party that Loki might have one drink too many. It had been a while since he had any alcohol that could affect him. No wonder that he was emotional. And the whole situation with Steve didn’t help. You wished he would see that he had nothing to worry about.
‘Loki?’ you asked again.
Loki’s grip loosened more and he showed his face to you. His eyes were red and puffy, he looked heartbroken. And it broke your heart to see him like that. But you also were a bit relieved to see it. A relationship with Loki wasn’t always easy. He was very closed off and didn’t always show his emotions. The longer you were together, the more he started to relax and show you his true self.
‘It’s all right. Tell me what’s wrong’ you whispered to him.
Loki sat up right in the bed. You did the same and grabbed his hand. He let you hold his hand and squeezed in it.
‘Steve’ he said with a strained voice.
Not this again, you thought. The same argument the two of you had since the beginning of your relationship. Ever since Loki had learned that you and Steve had ‘history’ together, he became possessive and scared to lose you. It wasn’t even really history. When Steve woke up after being frozen you had helped him adjust to the modern world. The two of you had a strong bond and became inseparable. To help him with the new dating customs, the two of you went on a dinner date. After the date he walked you home and yes, the two of you kissed. You weren’t sure if it was because of the romantic setting, that you spend all your free time helping Steve, or that you actually like him. So, you were relieved when he came by the next day and told you that he didn’t know either.
Everything was new to him, Peggy was still alive and the loss of their possible future was something he hadn’t come to terms with yet. At that time, he needed a friend and the two of you decided that that’s what it was. Friends. After that you never talked about it and there were never any awkward moments. You actually had forgotten about it. When you started to date other guys, Steve was extremely supportive. Except when you started to date Loki. He thought you could do better. But after a few months of Steve seeing how happy you were with Loki, he let it go. He even tried to make an effort with Loki. Loki was wary of Steve at first, but that was just Loki being Loki. Unfortunately, Steve had told Loki about your ‘history’ before you and after that Loki couldn’t stand Steve. Loki insisted that Steve was interested in you, but you knew Steve better and that surely wasn’t the case.
‘Loki’ you sighed. ‘I told you time and time again, there is nothing happening. We don’t look at each other that way. You need to let this go. I swear we’re just friends’ you said.
Loki squeezed your hand tighter ‘It is’ he said. ‘I just passed him in the hallway, getting you your water. He flat out told me that he is interested in you’
‘What?’ you asked shocked.
‘He wants you, he told me’ Loki said.
‘That can’t be. You sure?’ you asked still shocked.
‘WHAT? Because the God of Lies is incapable of telling the truth?’ Loki snapped.
‘No! That’s not what I meant’ you quickly said. ‘But are you sure? What did he say? Maybe you.. you know.. misinterpreted it?’
‘He pretended to be worried about my state and said he thought he had to take you home. It told him that I will always take you home. He reacted by saying ‘Give it time’. I told you that he is madly in love with you. How can you not see it?’ Loki answered.
‘Maybe he meant that he would have if you had any more alcohol? Or that there will be a point in time where he takes me home, because you are on a mission or something?’ you tried to calm Loki down.
‘Are you SERIOUSLY defending him right now?’ Loki half yelled. He let go of you hand and looked angrily at you.
‘It’s just.. Steve is my best friend. And I don’t want to ruin that friendship, because you’re jealous at a stupid thing that happened years ago and meant nothing!’ you explained.
‘Don’t’ Loki said.
‘Don’t what?’ you asked.
‘Don’t act like I’m unreasonable or wrong here. I love you, but you are so naïve sometimes. He’s been shamelessly flirting with you, manipulating our fights, and manipulating me’ he said through gritted teeth. ‘So, don’t tell me that I misunderstood. Don’t try to justify his actions. My whole life people tell me that I misunderstood, that I’m out of line. I’m not!’ tears were starting to form in his eyes.
‘You mean because of your youth and competition with Thor?’ you asked. Thinking that maybe that was the real issue. Maybe he was projecting his feelings from then on some made up idea, because it is less painful.
‘I am referring to that, but this isn’t some made up idea. This is very real. I can’t believe you don’t believe or trust me in this’ he said.
‘Are you in my head?’ you asked.
‘Obviously’ he sarcastically said.
‘You know I hate it when you do that’ you snapped.
‘And I hate it when my girlfriend keeps hanging with her ex and is totally oblivious about his true intentions. Yet, here we are’ he snapped back.
There was a long silence. You were trying to find the right words. Loki’s face had gone blank and you had no idea what he was thinking, or is he was still in your head.
‘If it is really true that Steve has changed his mind and wants more than friendship, it doesn’t change the fact that I am with you. And that I love you. He can try all he wants, but I’m not leaving you. I have no interest in Steve that way. So, if you can’t trust him, trust me!’ you tried to convince him.
‘How can you promise me something like that. Maybe you change your mind after some time. I know being with me isn’t the easiest thing in the world and there is Captain America. The poster boy of goodness and everyone is falling for it. Steve isn’t always the gentlemen he advertises to be. I can’t believe that the only other person who sees that is Tony’ Loki ranted.
‘Because whenever I’m alone in bed and you’re on a mission, I can’t sleep. I keep thinking about you the whole day. Even tough you hide it, you care so much. Not just about me, but also Thor and the rest of the team’ you grabbed his hand and he didn’t pull away. You snuggled closer to him and laid your head on his shoulder. ‘You’re charming, funny and caring. And the day you decided to actively participate with the rest of the team was the day I fell hard for you. I love you, Loki, and I will always love you. That’s how I know I can promise you that’ you whispered to him.
Loki pulled you in his arms ‘I love you too. Please don’t leave me’
‘Never’ you said, snuggling closer against him. He laid down in the bed, still holding you close.
‘But I still feel uneasy about it’ Loki whispered.
You knew that this was not something that would go away in one night. ‘I’m not going to dump Steve as my friend, but I want you to be comfortable. So, I could talk to him tomorrow and keep my distance for a while, give us some time to figure something out. Maybe we can take some time off, go away for a weekend’ you said.
‘I would like that’ Loki said.
‘Now go to sleep, Lo. You feel better tomorrow I promise’ you said.
‘Maybe I should talk to Steve tomorrow?’ Loki said before you could fall asleep.
‘I think it’s better if I talk to him’ you said.
‘Honestly, I don’t think so. But if that’s what you truly want, we do it your way’ Loki mumbled. You kissed his chest and drifted off to sleep.
But if you knew how tomorrow would go, you would have done it his way.

✨HIIIIIII newcomers from Twitter✨
So, on Twitter I've seen a screenshot of a tumblr post with a whole list of rules that are - I'm sorry for using crude words but - bullshit, for the most part. So I was thinking, hey. Why not make a "how does tumblr works" with actually useful stuff in it. A non exhaustive list though, cause I haven't all night.
Introducing myself quickly first: I'm Keagan, I'm on Tumblr since 2012 (Twitter user since 2013), I have seen the best and the worst, I've been there for the first mishapocalypse, the great Sherlock s4 depression, and I was here when dicks and boobs where roaming the website freely and when the anti-boobs bot flagged everyone randomly. I took a sort of sabbatical after 2017 bc of the Sherlock depression, and the fandom kinda falling apart, and also bc I have a irl life that started to get interesting around that time, but I still came back regularly from time to time until now.
I know how this goddamn website works and I know why we call it the blue hellsite. I've been here since the dawn of ti- no, lol, i'm joking. :')
I started off as an aesthetic blog, then it quickly turned into a social justice/aesthetic/spn fandom blog, and this blog you see this post in is my fandom side blog, the one that saw the birth of my Sherlock obsession and the beginning of my fanartist/fanfic writer carreer. This hellsite saw my queer awakening. It saw me bloom and gain in confidence and self love. It taught me love, patience, pain, and the absurd.
So. Now that's done, let's go. Those are random things in no particular order.
In case you worry about Tumblr being very different than Twitter: yes it is different but surprisingly it's actually not that different.
Any of the following points, you will figure out easily anyway by yourself, Tumblr is actually pretty simple to understand and use, and you'll catch on quickly on the little things that makes it Tumblr, the "etiquette" and all.
For the most part: you can do whatever the fuck you want, no one cares (except dumb people I guess). But do we truly need to remind people not to be assholes with others ? Don't be rude. Duh
- One thing that Tumblr post I was talking about got right is: likes don't matter in terms of visibility, reblogs are more important. Likes are a comment more than a booster. So if you want to boost a posts' visibility, esp art and fics : reblog it.
- On the other hand you won't gain much visibility if you don't get people to reblog you, and honestly while existing here is pretty easy, you'll still have better chances at being visible if you reach people. I'm on a lot of SM and here is still the easiest though so don't worry.
- You can definitely scream into the void, like, it was made for it, this is shitpost paradise
- You can add dumb & insignificant comments to posts like "omg same" or "this is so true" - literally no one cares.
- And no one cares how you call your mutuals, moots, oomfies, pals, friendz, besties, mutts, - no one.
- We do use tone indicators here too. And there's plenty room to write the full words so it's not an obligation but a suggestion from me: sometimes it's less confusing to just say "i'm half joking" than /hs.
- But you can shorten words as you like, it doesn't matter. If twitter got you used to shorten words do shorten words, no worries.
- Your Tumblr experience is closely tied to who you choose to follow or block - you can curate your dashboard/timeline just like you do on Twitter, this is pretty similar. You can and should protect yourself from unsafe people anywhere. That's basic internet safety. Don't overthink this please, if someone is making you feel unsafe and bad, it is your place: block people.
The moderation here is not that bad but not ideal. So please use all the ways you need to make this place safe for you, and don't hesitate to call for people's help. This is a social media based on community. Don't let people trick you into thinking you are wrong for blocking people - or for calling unsafe people out. We have always done that here. We protect and support each other, ok? Good.
- You can follow hashtags, pretty much like on Instagram. In my opinion it's not always working well but you can.
- You can't bookmark posts, you'll have to put in your drafts the stuff you want to check later. And you'll likely forget them there so tell them goodbye as you go.
Eheh 🥲 (good thing i don't know how many tweets i have saved for later 😂)
You can make yourself a "read later" tag too. A tag that you're likely never gonna check either 🥹 Not so different than the Twitter bookmarks, you see.
- When you sign in, you create your main blog. The main blog - consider it like your account if you like - is linked to your profile, if you delete the main blog you delete your profile. You can create as many side blogs (side accounts) as you like (without using another email) and you can delete them without deleting your main account.
Sadly you still can't switch main blog and side blog to link your profile to a side blog, which I have been screaming for since this side blog became my main blog years ago 🥲🤌 this is my own "make tweets editable" cry
- If you're not familiar with blogs and how to personalise them, don't worry, there's a lot of themes you can choose that are simple to use, and the hardest thing you'll have to do is choose colors you like. If it looks hard, there is a ton of resources to help you, and most people will help you if you ask them (I will, honestly don't hesitate to hit the ask button).
Note that you do not have to touch it actually, it's just like your living room, some like it carefully decorated, others leave it at its most basic form, still usable. There is no obligation whatsoever. It's fun though.
If you like coding, you can edit the blog's code or make your own theme, which is pretty cool, I've learned some html modifying mine.
- You can ask stuff, anonymously or not, hitting the ask button on people's blogs. They will answer by a post, they can make it public. There is also a private direct messaging thingy.
- Tags work similarly than Twitter, meaning if you click on "#spn" you will see all things tagged spn - simple. There is some sorts of trends though it's not exactly the same as Twitter obviously.
But they are different in the sense that they serve also for organisational purpose: they are used to identify what's in the post, so that you can navigate blogs more easily. It's more like labelling your Tupperwares so you find them easily in your kitchen, you know what I mean ? The tags are also labels. The tagging system is also important when you set your blog up. You can put tags in the post but that's useless, the tag section is there for it.
- You can check on my blog (on web not app) to visualise it: you can add tabs and pages to your blogs: for example, let's say you want people to find your fanfics easy: you tag all your fanfic posts "fanfic"; on web, when you click then on the tag from your blog, you will have an url with "tagged/fanfic" at the end, you take that and when you create a new page on your blog (it's well explained how to do that in the settings), you use that url to create your tab. Sounds a bit complicated, just said like that, maybe but I promise it's simple. So you see the tagging system is useful to organise your blog.
You can also make pages to add information, like you would do with a carrd or a pinned tweet, you see. (You can pin a post here too). You can make it an "about me" page, or a list of your main tags, etc, whatever you like.
- Side note about tags: if you click a tag from your dashboard, you'll see all posts linked to this tag. If you click the tag from your blog, you will see all the posts you have reblogged or written - the ones that are present on your blog.
- You can communicate stuff in the tags, it's a whole extra expression space. Typically people use it to add comments they don't want people to reblog, personnal additions, remarks, rants, jokes, etc... There is no rule about not commenting whatever you like on posts but that extra space is often used for all kind of reasons.
The only thing is that back then the op wasn't notified for tags, it was pretty much a silent thing betweet you and your followers, now you can see all of them in the post's notes and notifications. So beware what you say, obviously don't be rude, and don't be alarmed if people answer to your tags, it's not so silent and discreet anymore. I kinda like reading people's tags on my posts but I prefered when mine weren't visible by everyone, to be honest lol
There is a character limit on tags, you can't actually add essays but you can write a lot (trust me). And as the comma and quotation marks "activates" the tag and separates them you can't write commas and quotation marks in the tags - I personally replace them with - or ; and ' when needed. It's something to get used to.
- Again on tags: typically, you put trigger warnings in the tags (though you'll see often posts starting with the tw, you can add both, just add them I guess), you can specify "personal" and "don't reblog" to warn people you'd like a cup of tea /i . And, not everyone does it but personally I appreciate when people tag the spoilers and specific themes, shows, characters or ships, so I can hide the posts marked with that tag.
- When tags are blocked you can still see the masked post show up in your dash, with its tags visible, which honestly is perfect bc you often get context in case you want to block words in certain contexts and not others, and if you block stuff momentarily (like spoilers) - you can still save the post to read it later without having to do it with your eyes closed.
- About discourse : of course there's discourse here, there's call out posts too, there's shit and obnoxious people just like everywhere else, don't come here with the idea that it's a heavenly place where everything is pretty and safe from all things annoying. There's discourse here too. There's bullying here too. About all sorts of subjects. (I've seen the queer slur discourse here like DAYS ago). There's shitty people here too. That's internet, contrary to what a certain post said, that's unescapable. And sure that's annoying but that's a fact of life - now you can shield yourself as much as possible by blocking people but honestly don't expect your experience to be way way different than Twitter in that aspect. Maybe less right wing old dudes bc Tumblr doesn't host the same démographic, though there was a nazi problem for a while, I don't know if they're still here tbqh, but that's overall not much much better, let's be honest.
- On your left, old time resident mr Neil Gaiman - but he answers "wait and see" to everything. /j
- Speaking of celebs, there isn't as many on Tumblr (it's said some have secret blogs but shhh 🤫), but there is often ask & answer events that are announced at the top of the dash.
- You won't be penalised for using certain words (even die or dead, the "unalive" wave doesn't crash on this shore), and you can put links if you like, even cashapp, kofi, paypal, etc, there's virtually nothing that will make you invisible in people's dashboards.
The only way you'll get shadowbanned here is if the Tumblr bots think you're a bot or a porn blog. Learn more here.
- But until recently, sorry there's a but, since the great "no tits" debacle, there's a bot that flagged your nuddity posts and it was so hilariously flawed omg (it flagged fucking DUNES I will never forget ahah) - anyway when they flag your post they hide it and you can make an appeal if needed, but honestly I don't think as much problem occured with it since a long while, that thing improved with time and the good thing is you can post artistic tits again! o/ yay
- There's virtually no character limit - there is one, but you'll need to write a long time until you hit it lol (I did once).
- Therefore : threads don't mean the same here. Here threads are successions of multiple people's comments. It makes for some interesting (and often hilarious) participative posts. Because there is no need here to cut your text into small posts, unless you are writing your memoirs or some shit. Look how much I've written already. 🫲Twitter could never. And if posts are long, you can add a "read more" button so it doesn't mean you have to scroll through gigantic blocs of text in your dash. and in the settings you can make long posts look shorter in your dash automatically.
- Related: threads aren't the same, you can't reblog/retweet a post that's in the middle of a thread. I mean, on Twitter you can RT the 1st tweet of the thread, or the 3rd, RT a reply easily - and in your TL only this one tweet appears - you can't really do that here. First of all here there is comments (or captions) and replies, those are not the same. If you want to reblog someone's comment to a post, you'll have to reblog it from their blogs - doable but honestly a bit tedious. And you will always reblog the last answer and all the ones that comes before. You reblog whole conversations, see.
So when you scroll through dash, you WILL experience mini heart attacks when seeing the 1st lines of some posts until you see the arguments that are closer to your moral standards - meaning you'll often see posts that are "shitty comment" then ten replies until you see the ones that says "wtf, it's shitty" - you need to endure the whole thing until you see stuff you agree with ahah, trust me this is FUN
- Here you don't livetweet, you liveblog. Otherwise it's the same. I'm sad I can't do both at the same time but it's equally fun on twitter and tumblr, especially for ESC.
- Like Tumblr said on Twitter: if you scroll your dash long enough you will have seen all of your friends posts. Yes.
- You can make your experience a lot better with the New XKit extension. Explaining it would take a whole ass post of its own so I'm not going to do that here but they have an account here where they explain everything, give updates and answer questions. I can only suggest to give it a look once you're familiar with how Tumblr works without it and with what doesn't work well.
- You can edit posts. You can schedule posts. Take it in 😌
You can edit them and actually - WOW - civilisation hasn't collapsed and bad people still can be held accountable for their shitty comments! Like on Facebook and Instagram too. Let it happen on Twitter, let it be the one good thing that'll happen amidst that awful chaos.
There's a twist though: you can edit your post, sure, but if someone reblogged the post before you could edit it, there will be two versions of your post in the wild. It can be a little bit frustrating. One way to avoid that: let your big and important posts sit in the drafts for a while so you can fix it before publishing it. An advice I never seem to follow.😬
- You can also change text size, font, put it in bold, italic, colour, you can make it gradiant like in Skyblog's most glorious hours, etc, and yes you can put alt text on pictures. You can add links or pictures in the middle of a post - I mean those are blog posts, so 🤷♀️
- The app is shit though ☆(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ* (to be fair not as much as a few years back, honestly, but still, not ideal)(I'm using the app 🥲)
- And you can't translate posts easily, which tbh I think is a big flaw
- Tumblr is flawed but fun and it can be better, the updates are always shit, but it has well intentions and a nice staff.
I guess there's a lot of other stuff to say but honestly we've covered the main things to know and more. All the "rules" and "etiquette" you will learn as you go, Tumblr is no rocket science, it's simple and fun, it's a meme goldmine, great community experience. There's not real rules, you can use that site however you want, no one cares, nothing is serious, have fun, don't let people gatekeep this place with bs rules, build your space as you like, make it look like you. Welcome 👋
Edit: here is a post giving a tour of the settings + some reco about Xkit
