I’ve just realised that each of the Pesto kids have shortened names, so you’ve actually got James, Andrew and Oliver. And Pesto isn’t even their real surname! So it’s really James Poplopovich Jr, Andrew Poplopovich and Oliver Poplopovich. That’s on their birth certificates. The Pop kids🥹

hii, congrats on 500 followers! if it’s okay, i’d like to request idia, trey and leona with D, J, K, M, and T for the NSFW alphabet ^^
🍓AGH I FORGOT YOU LAST NIGHT! I'm so sorry, I was so tired I didn't even notice you among the full list of requests. Please find it in your heart to forgive me!
TW: Idia is REALLY fucking weird; Incest mention (NOT between Ortho and Idia); Idia being a creep; Idia's kinks; Idia
Idia
D - Dirty Secret: Idia is known to watch the cameras at NRC. What people don't know is those cameras are EVERYWHERE (minus the dorm rooms and bathrooms). He sees the students "sneaking around" in broom closets and darkly lit hallways. He hears the muffled whines and moans of "exhibitionists" trying not to get caught. Little do they know they've had his eyes on them the whole time and he's enjoying himself right along with them. It's even better if you're involved (in the case that you're not together, though he's not against cuckolding completely). Seeing his crush be dominated (or do the DOMINATING) by someone else gets him all hot and bothered.
J - Jack Off: He is in a sexual relationship with his right hand. He jacks off all the fucking time -- at least thrice daily. It's always to the worst shit imaginable too, like fucked up incest hentai, anime girls that are HARDLY legal, the shit you'd imagine a shut-in to be into. He's embarrassed by it, 'cause the shit he does is so gross. He'd find it hot if you wanted to watch him though. He'd be all whiny and shy about it, but it's honestly the sexiest thing he's ever done.
K - Kink: The better question is what kink does he NOT have? Roleplay, marking, hardcore bdsm, cuckolding, blah blah blah. You name it, he's considered it and gotten off to it at least once. However, his favorite thing? Soft mushy sex. The kind where you hold his hand and tell him how good he's doing, how well he gets you off, how big his dick is, how pretty he is when he cries. Ugh, that's the shit for him.
M - Motivation: Brushing his hand with yours is enough to make him pop a boner. You can't blame him though, he's never felt the touch of another person who isn't his literal family.
T - Toys: Yeah of course he uses toys. He has a collection (that he HIDES like it's the nuclear codes or something) that he uses on himself when he feels like it. If you wanted to use them on him he wouldn't be opposed... if you want him to use them on you, well, that's even better.
Trey
D - Dirty Secret: Believe me or not, Trey is a fucking perv. He's REALLY ashamed of it because he's Heartslabyul's resident good-boy big brother. He's a role model for most of his dorm mates, so him creeping on the other guys in the locker room isn't something he wants to get out. Oh yeah, he's a panty sniffer lol.
J - Jack Off: Despite being a perv, he doesn't feel a need to get off all that often. Back at home, he doesn't have the time or privacy to. So he just learned to deal with a raging boner. However, when he does, which is rare, he prefers the fantasy of you under the table sucking him off during class over anything porn can offer.
K - Kink: Trey isn't all that kinky, other than the whole panty-sniffing thing. He likes things simple and easy, but he enjoys a power-dynamic kind of situation a lot. Never tell anyone this, but if you wanna play step-siblings with him, it's probably the hardest he ever cums in his life.
M - Motivation: Giving him personal attention over anyone else is a surefire way to get him up and going. Especially when other people want your attention, and you just hard focus on him. Sevens, he loves that, fuels a very rare possessive side of him that he doesn't let out often.
T - Toys: Nah, Trey's a pretty "I'm gonna do it myself" kinda guy. If a toy can give you more pleasure than he can, he's not really doing his jobe right, is he?
Leona
D - Dirty Secret: He wants to be DOMINATED. Put him in his PLACE, call him a good kitty, make him grovel, and beg for you to let him cum. It's his ultimate fantasy, and he wouldn't EVER admit it to anyone -- especially not you. He can't let you know you could have that power over him. (He's a hard dom until he's not, lol).
J - Jack Off: A lot of people say that Leona doesn't jack off but like...? Are we talking about the same character? There is NO WAY he doesn't just lay in bed and stroke it on a really lazy day. Like, yeah he doesn't particularly enjoy it, he'd rather have you, but you have to do what you have to do to get off.
K - Kink: Leona, surprisingly, isn't into anything too humiliating for his partner. I mean, he's got a humiliation kink that goes both ways -- but that's completely verbal degradation stuff. He's a choker, but he'd never slap you. He's pretty much into everything you'd expect a hard dom to be into, but he'd never physically hurt you. It's against his moral code.
M - Motivation: It's hard to get him motivated if he's not into something. So really, there's nothing that gets him motivated, he either wants to fuck you or he doesn't and nothing's changing his mind. Even that pretty silk set he bought you. He's tired now, come take a nap with him. (If you're insistent, he'll eat you out or smth, but don't expect much more than his mouth and hands.)
T - Toys: Leona, like Trey, is very much an "I can do it myself, we don't need toys" guy. And, he's right, he can. He honestly finds toys insulting to his ability and refuses ANYTHING like that ANYWHERE near him or you.

FAQ
Is this about Kira Yoshikage? This is about the international serial killer "Kira" who kills through an indetectable, contactless, remote method. He might be in Japan, though.
Can you put a "Don't know this character/See Results" option? No. This is an active global serial murder investigation and time is of the essence. If you truly don't know who they are, either: look them up, ot just go by what I'm told are called "vibes". Do not default to "Could Not, Would Die" or "Could Catch, Would Survive" simply because you don't know who the character is.
What is the current wait time? About a year, maybe, and counting.
I thought this was for detectives only? We're desperate. Why do you think this is a suicide squad?
How many submissions can I send in one ask? Six. If you go to seven I am deleting the submission without review. Don't even think about attempting eight.
Do submissions need pictures? Not necessarily, but if you want to, make sure it's at the least an OFFICIAL RENDER. I don't like using fanart! (Nothing against fanartists, I just don't want to search something like "Kermit" and get images of strangely muscular frogs (you can imagine the hell I went trying to avoid AI images for Ramona Flowers)). IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING SOMEONE'S FANART FOR A CANONICALLY-UNSEEN CHARACTER (such as, for example, Adolin Kholin), LINK THEIR TUMBLR BLOG SO THAT I MAY CONTACT THEM FOR EXPLICIT PERMISSION.
If a character was already submitted as a standalone/part of a group, can I submit them as part of a group/a standalone? Yes, however you need to wait the full seven days after their poll goes up. In the event that both are submitted in a short amount of time from one another, I shall personally space them out in the queue so that there are at least seven days between them. This is to prevent a situation where, say, Princess Zelda is submitted in quick succession to "The Triforce Wielders" as a group, and you have two polls with Zelda running at once.
Can I submit a real human? No. Pets aren't allowed because they'd sweep, but do not send me video essayists or the like. I will not put them on the blog unless they, themself, send in their name on an official Tumblr account. I fully doubt this will happen, obviously, so simply do not do this.
Can I submit [ANYONE ELSE]? Baby life is short when you're dealing with a guy who can kill from a distance at any time. You should do whatever you like. Submit a guy who can't separate his darks from his lights. Move to a new city. Find a 200 sqft apartment. Get five roommates. Ghost all of them. Start a company that sells leg warmers for dogs. Declare bankruptcy. Move to a different new city. Enter a torrid romance with a guy who calls himself "The Creature". Cheat on him with a different guy who calls himself "Monsieur Beast", a legally distinct entity unaffiliated with MrBeast. Start an electro-flamenco band with both of your exes. Get trapped in a stupid and gay little maze. Fight your way to the castle beyond the Goblin City and take back what has been stolen from you. Eat a lettuce wrap. Move back to your hometown and tell no one.

I wrote out before what I imagined Luz's life would be like if she never went to the Boiling Isles, so I figured I'd give my idea on what happened to the witches of the Boiling Isles in that situation. (Something I've shared with @ordinaryschmuck)
Belos's plans for the Day of Unity continued on unimpeded....but unbeknownst to him, Raine Whispers, Darius, and Eberwolf work to understand his goals and plans. After an undiscovered trip into his mind (along with the Emperor's own nephew) and discovering his plans, they work to save the inhabitants of Bonesborough. Raine gets an idea.....and goes to see their ex, Eda the Owl Lady. After a lot of discussion and secret maneuvering among their coven members, they all get to work in evacuating all the willing Bonesborough residents along with any kind of possessions they can take into the human world.
Unfortunately, when they try to get Alador to leave on the Day of Unity, while he and his children are willing to go, Odalia isn't and tells Belos and the Coven heads of this plan. The evacuess frantically flee as Belos charges to try and bring them back. Eda the Owl Lady engages him in battle in order to give the last few people enough time to escape...but the battle uses the last of her magic and she's trapped in the form of the Owl Beast, Raine just managing to get her cursed form through the portal door before shutting it on Belos.
At first, it was an adjustment for the former Demon Realm inhabitants to live in the human world, especially since the human "knowledge' they had was extremely innacurate. But, one day, Raine, Darius, and Eberwolf were all approached by a mysterious organization. One member was an effeminate man named Mr X.....and the leader of the grouo was a man with six fingers, grey hair, and glasses wearing a trenchcoat who knew a great deal about the Boiling Isles, simply called "The Professor." After a long talk, they agreed to help the Demon Realm folks integrate onto the human world, giving them forged legal documents and things so they could do stuff like attend human schools and get jobs.
The organization also assisted in helping build a place hidden away, where the Boiling Isles folks could live without needing to hide if they wanted to and hold onto their witch culture, called New Bonesborough. They even assisted them in finding any sort of magical beings banished to the human realm and make contact with them in the hopes they'd join their society.
Some witches decided to integrate into human society, living hidden through the use of illusion stones. Some chose to live in New Bonesborugh full time, continuing their old lives the best they could. And some split their time between the two worlds, living amongst both.
Raine was one such witch, spending half their time as a leader in New Bonesborugh's witches council and the other in the human world being a music professor at Gravesdield University....and now raising their adopted son, King.
And so, the Witches of the Boiling Isles did their best to make peace with their new human world lives, living amongst them in secret.....for a good few years at least.
But that's another story....
If anyone has any asks or questions about this scenario, I'm happy to answer them.

With Toby already done, and Ann on her way... I present at least one change from each of the members of the main branch of Ripper Inc, I'll see the original characters from when I get to their entries.
Clockwork.
She has two major changes from the source material that I'll discuss here, one of them is he design change, I'm sure a lot of people might be mixed on. I've completely ditched her iconic Green jacket, replacing it with a dyed green and torn straight jacket. The very one she wore when held captive by the asylum.
The other change is her being a proper superhuman, between physical enhanced and across the board, I've also given her low level chronokinetic abilities, the watch eye is no longer just for show. Natalie is able to see up to five minutes into the future, as well as rewind and fast forward up to 10 seconds, sometimes a minute if she pushes herself. The clock moves through time with her! It shows the time she traveled to last.
Eyeless Jack.
Probably the biggest change I've done to him is his physical journey, I very much early on decided that my approach for his physicality was going to be starting out like the fandom depiction, but the longer he is what he is... The longer his body contains Chernabog... The more monstrous and malformed his body becomes, resembling more of a creature than a man.
Jane Richardson.
The two major things I've kind of done for her are that she has not and will not kill Jane Arkensaw as she feels somewhat responsible for her existence.
The other is streamlining her career, because of her from government agent... Her original Creator just kinda shoved and made her do countless things. So, yeah, she's got a lot of hobbies still, but I've significantly cut down her actual work.
Nina Hopkins.
Two SIGNIFICANT changes. Due to the new back story and character concept I refuse to call her Nina The Killer, instead throughout her hometown she was dubbed The Ashton Slasher. The town's first serial killer in over a decade.
Secondly, she's a recovering multiple, with what was the Nina alter being a form of protection from the trauma regarding Jeffrey Forester and the death of her family. Nina is not evil, she's a personality without a grasp of consequences, a goofier side that's lashing out without understanding. Her original legal name was Bethany Gent.
Zero.
I'm fully leaning into the idea of her being a Tulpa, a creature given Life by our own will and imagination.. and she's fully taken over Alice's body, stranding the girls somewhere deep within her subconscious much like Alice had to done to her. She's a cautionary tale, a lesson in not playing with forces beyond our control.
Homicidal Liu.
His quest to stop his brother is no longer a revenge story, I'm very much depicting it as more an elder brother feeling responsible for not being there to prevent it, so Liu Woods has taken it upon himself to bring his brother to judgment, to end the reign of Jeffrey Woods. An older brother needs to look after his younger brother, and this is the only path left he can find. The monster is his responsibility, a Woods must end the cycle brought on by another Woods.
Korbyn JumpingEagle.
I honestly haven't changed too much of her core character, it's more her story that's completely changed, as in this version of events Slender was too late to send an operative to get her, with Jack Revver sending Toby to come and bring her to his offices. She was officially secured and placed under the protection of Ripper Inc, with Ripper Inc employing her full time to train her as The Seer.
Scarecrow.
I've been giving a lot of work in general, and one of the major things I've been working on is furthering the concept for her brought on by The Seer webcomic, and that's tackling her guilt and the situation she's trapped in. Everything prior to Ripper Inc for her is a tragedy, a horror story where the monster is sympathetic.
Sally Williams.
It goes without saying I've completely changed the structure of her story, and one of the things I can say early is that... Uncle Johnny got what he deserved, and we can thank The Rake for it. Sally's death happened a LOT earlier on, and way before the detestable and fetishized stuff the author wrote could EVER occur. We don't fuck with that in this household.
Lazari.
Zalgoids ARE demons. She's a half demon. And there's going to be no weird sudden agent now, I'm going to actually see the progression of her life.
Jeffrey Hodek.
Well, to be put it out there... He's such a different character, in fact the present day depiction of him starts out as literally a washed serial killer living in a rundown apartment with his two dogs, watching stuff from the 80s and 90s as he doesn't care for many modern shows. He's a man in his 50s who just wanted to be left alone.
Rouge.
I haven't done too much with her yet, cuz conceptually she's fine, but I haven't even heard a unique thing that's not among other proxies... She's got her senses heightened all across the board, and she's got something akin to a spider-sense, but for tracking. She can detect potential prey and is incapable of losing a target.

what's the book for? part 2
[here's an intro where I talk about the three hour video essay that inspired me to do this]
[here's the first part where I argue that there's a big difference between the actual thing you do in an RPG and the book that tells you how you're allegedly supposed to be doing it]
So if the actual TTRPG games are mostly learned by observation and practice, what is the something that RPG books claim to give you in order to enable that?
Tumblr media
Here's three things I can think of.
This isn't intended as a Forge-like categorisation of games, most RPG books offer (or claim to offer) all of these to some degree, ideally in complementary ways...
A ruling reference - RPG book as legal system
In the intro to a typical mainstream RPG book, this is typically the explanation that is given.
Over the course of a telling a story together, all sorts of weird edge cases come up where you might not want to simply make a call on how it should resolve. Moreover, consistency is valued, for both challenge and narrative reasons.
In this case, the RPG book is a big collection of rulings for specific situations. 'What happens when a character falls off a cliff?' You can look it up. It's like legal precedents. This is how a lot of the stuff in the early D&D books started - stuff that someone had done, and a referee had made a ruling, and it got written down. Then it would get systematised, unified, and streamlined so that it's easier to remember and extend to new situations.
A lighter game avoids special cases and just suggests a general procedure for resolving situations of uncertainty, conflicts etc.
This angle doesn't tend to cover procedures for how the game is physically run - how to go about setting up the scenario, who should get priority when speaking, etc. etc. - beyond perhaps offering prebuilt modules to inspire you. In older games, most of that is stuff you pick up by watching. In newer games... well, hold on.
A grab bag of interesting prompts - RPG book as inspiration in the moment
Most RPG books have flavour text; many also have tables of weird shit you can roll on or select when building a character, character sheets full of interesting abilities, descriptions of NPCs and so on. A select few RPGs like Unknown Armies and Chuubo's Marvellous Wish-Granting Engine have really distinctive prose too.
The aim of all these tools is to give you something to latch onto when you're in the moment and you need to think of the next thing to say. It's also to get people onto some shared understanding of what this game is all about.
This is where the bulk of many RPG books lies. It's explicitly the aim of Apocalypse World's MC moves. Many one-page RPGs are nothing but lists of evocative names and description elements, and a short snatch of prose.
Prompt tables and lists of names are popular in just about every tradition of RPG design - trad, storygames, OSR, all use them. Sometimes they're the most memorable thing about an RPG, like Dark Heresy's crit tables.
Sometimes pages of tables is the RPG - in recent years, card-based games have become popular, using a regular deck of cards which indexes into a big table of events, each of which is like 'here's a short description. how do you respond?'. This type of game has a great deal in common with storylet-based interactive fiction like Fallen London.
Prompts don't have to be short, though. Arguably an adventure module can be pretty much this - something you consult when players arrive in a new place to get an idea of who they should meet for example.
In D&D, the Monster Manual is straight up a book of real freaky guys you can put in your game. It also has stat blocks for them, of course, but the descriptions and pictures do a lot of work here to make them concrete.
This is why I describe the pictures in Lancer as load-bearing. The pictures help - or are supposed to help - grease the wheels of imagination when you're trying to imagine mechs.
This function of RPGs is a large part of the angle you're playing if you tie the game to a particular genre, setting or IP.
A machine to guide you to a specific experience - RPG book as auteur blueprint
So here's the newer flavour.
RPGs can be one of the most feelings-dense forms of art that humans create - it's your story, with your characters. This is something that tends to arise organically after you spend a long time with a character and 'get into their head'.
However, there is often a desire on the designer's side to structure the game to bring about a particular kind of emotional experience more directly. From horror games to games self-consciously 'about' colonialism, abuse, romance, etc., these games try to give you a particular experience, similar to what a film or book gives you - or indeed, a computer game.
Here are some examples:
My Life With Master is an older Forge game. It's about the 'Igor' servant characters in a classic horror movie, billing itself as 'a roleplaying game of villainy, self-loathing, and unrequited love'. It presents you with an emotionally charged scenario and mechanics that try to push you towards specific drama - if you want to be critical, a firm instance of the incentives and buttons oriented design that Huntsman was talking about, sometimes quite explicitly saying 'this mechanic was designed to...'
Dog Eat Dog is a game 'a game of imperialism and assimilation on the Pacific islands', with the DM reimagined as a colonial power adding more and more restrictions and the players as native people who will inevitably break its rules, until they are eventually pushed to 'run amok' (fatally), or assimilate. It's a game whose entire argument is more or less spelled out in the book itself.
But games don't have to be this narrowly scoped to have this kind of aspiration. Something like Apocalypse World still wants to bring about certain kinds of interaction, laid out quite explicitly as 'agendas' for the MC and players. It is strongly 'opinionated', in programmer terms.
Even a very flexible game can take on this model. Fiasco is a very abstract structure, designed to set up a chaotic situation like in a Coen Brothers movie. Microscope is designed to give you a fractal zoom in and out of a fictional history. These games are almost all procedure; Fiasco has some fantastic prompt tables, and a clear way to cook up your own, but the bulk of it is the stuff it tells you to do with scenes and dice.
These could be seen as games on an auteur model, with many of the emotional beats of the scenario already rigged up in advance. You get this type of book to experience a good/meaningful story - with a certain amount of flexibility in the details that gets you more attached. If there is a GM/MC/etc. they have instructions to facilitate the expression of that story.
...well, I refer to it as an auteur model. Thankfully not everyone is Ron Edwards! Apocalypse World has a whole chapter about how to modify the game to your taste, or build new games on its framework, and that - plus its conceptual simplicity - probably played a role in its hundreds of derivatives. 'Hacking' games was well established as a practice in the storygames milieu right from the early days. Probably the vast majority of games put out on itch.io are simply hacks of an established framework, very few offer real innovation.
Despite this, the offer of these products is still that they'll tell you how create a kind of verbal machine to realise some very specific thing.
Secret fourth thing...?
I can't think of others right now, but I hate presenting a list as exhaustive unless I can prove it's exhaustive. It's very likely there's some other function a book can claim to perform.
However, to summarise, you look at an RPG book to get:
a consistent set of rulings to handle situations of uncertainty
a set of prompts to help inspire your imagination when you need inspiration
a carefully designed procedure to lead you to a specific experience
The third thing is kind of a different beast to the other two, huh? You might be thinking that the first two are trad games and the third one is post-Forge 'story games', but it's really much older than that. Paranoia is a great early example; there are shades of it in many games published in the 80s and 90s. Not all these games are affiliated with the Forge and its diaspora either - take for example Jenna Moran's games and Bliss Stage.
Story games are not books either
The Forge and its diaspora led to a lot of games being printed, and launched the careers of many an 'indie TTRPG designer', which was not really a thing you could be in the same way before. It would be easy therefore to think this was the main contribution: we should assess it on the basis of the printed games that resulted.
However, nothing says you have to use a book to pilfer from their idea pool.
The really interesting contribution of the whole movement, to my eye, is that it calls our attention to a facet of TTRPGs that had often been left implicit. Who speaks, when? Who gets the 'narrative authority' to make the final call on what becomes 'true'? How do you organise time - do you frame scenes, use flashbacks, cut between different characters? What makes a dice roll exciting? How do you work out what would engage the other players, and communicate your own interests? Are you trying to help your character win, or are you more like a writer who might choose to make them suffer? How do you make a compelling character arc? What can be changed around behind the scenes to make a better story?
These are all aspects of 'play', the thing that you do at the table. Any given TTRPG group will settle on its own implicit or explicit approach to this kind of thing.
Different RPG books will tell you to do this or that. Some games will tell you to set stakes, or make failure interesting, or make choices that act as 'flags' to show what you're looking for.
But these tools are not tied to any specific game. You don't need the 'permission' of a book, nor can a book stop you doing it. A book may lay out a procedure that makes it easier, may introduce you to an idea that you haven't heard before, but once you have the idea, you can play with it however you like.
The way I approach a trad game like D&D, from either side of the DM screen, has become very different after my sojourn into the world of story games. A lot of what I liked there, I kept doing. Other inspiration comes from outside of the 'hobby' entirely, in related milieu like improv comedy.
This is something the OSR milieu seems to understand quite well. Everything is expected to be mixed, matched, and interpreted by the needs of your group. Posts will be framed as mere advice, which can be picked up and applied regardless of context.
But that all depends on a certain amount of common ground as to 'what the game is'. There is an authoritative DM who runs the scenario. The emphasis of the game is probably on exploring some kind of ruin and surviving in a dark, decaying fantasy world populated by various factions at odds with each other. Players control flimsy characters whose survival is not guaranteed, but if they live long enough, they can become major powers. There is a heavy strategic aspect: you are trying to use your resources to survive and get something. This is the general shape of a 'prototypical OSR game'.
the shared context of storygames
Story games form their own subsubculture, but they do not have this level of shared context. Instead, a different kind of shared context is kind of implicit in the milieu.
Here's how things go at the London Indie RPG Meetup Group, which I've attended a couple of times: a group of nerds gather in a pub. People will pitch games with a couple of sentences; then people will form groups and play that game as a one-shot session. Someone will have a book, or printouts. Most players will not have heard of the game before.
In this kind of context, a lot of the quirks of story games make sense. 'Read this out' paragraphs, rapid character creation based on selecting prompts, simple mechanics designed to push you into drama as quickly as possible: all of this stuff is perfect for a one-shot game you play once or a few times. This type of game is not really trying to 'take on' trad games.
But then there's the 'middle ground' kind of game, which are closer to a 'trad' game - a game master, persistent characters each controlled by one player, multiple sessions, progression - but also instruct you to do something more experimental by trad-game standards. This includes Apocalypse World and its derivatives, Blades in the Dark and its derivatives, the Burning Wheel/Mouse Guard lineage, Jenna Moran's games... and so on.
It's this point of overlap where things get sticky and it all becomes a bit tense. Since, well, story game fans can be quite evangelistic - and part of that evangelism depends on a dismissively book-determinist view of trad TTRPGs. But conversely, trad players can be quite reluctant to imagine there is any other way of approaching this whole activity, and dismissive of any other approach. I do not like it, Sam-I-am.
So you end up with a situation of camps, with both groups bristling at the sense that they should be compelled to give up the thing they like to do it the way they consider inferior.
And if you want to criticise the other camp, what do you do? Pick up their book and criticise it as a product, according to your sense of what a TTRPG book is for. Which seems hopelessly besides the point when a book is such a small part of the story.
I've played trad games, story games, OSR games, 'freeform' forum games, LARP, MMO roleplaying, improv comedy... Not as much as I'd like of anything, but enough to get a sense of the many ways we can do this 'roleplaying' thing, whether by explicit rule or implicit convention.
So the puzzle I now have is, if there is to be a book involved, what is that book there to do? What really makes for a good RPG book? Are there other ways to get that thing? How do you game design honestly?
We'll try to address that in part 3 of this series, coming... sometime soon, hopefully!

SLIDES IN AND PROCEEDS TO KNOCK DOWN A SMALL SIDE TABLE AND A VASE HAAAAAAYYYYYYY BESTIIIEEEEEE !!! ヘ( ̄ω ̄ヘ) I come bearing my anticipated requests!!; if it be in your best interest, I would LOVE to see what concoction you bubble up in that cauldron of fascination we call a brain. It goes unsaid! — I love your writing. 🌷
(Insert New Yorker accent) Y'see, CJ.. i've had a hankering for some Peepaw Turtles (& Mama April if you can imagine it). (swirls cup in hand, sloshing the contents inside like some sophisticated taboo drink, some mystery liquid, but it's literally just cranberry juice)
I'm diggin' for the typical Found Family trope, all that jazz. Feel me? Platonic, of course! Who d'ya think I am? — Envision with me, CJ! (that one Buzz and Woody meme, you know the one)
Headcanons for 🥁🥁 :: A child reader! Adopted into the loving encompassing warmth that is the arms of the Hamato Clan? Each of them aged up as appropriate barely functioning adults, ✨thriving✨ in the happy ending that is Post-Kraang New York, everyone doing their own thing and most importantly they've got each other. THEN, oh, but THEN—
A kid comes along. That kid, cast-aside with nobody and nothing to their name (because apparently after a whole 🍑 war, we can't have EVERYTHING THAT'S NICE /lh /but also srs), timid and beaten by the world but still loves somethin' fierce with a heart of gold, is found one day by the respective member of the Clan! All of whom, individually, agree to take them in and watch them flourish from under their wing. At least until they can fly on their own. But even then, they'll still always be there for them. They never thought they'd have a kid Leo with the exception of Casey, and Don's Shelldon ofc I have respect on my main bot's name, but that's just life isn't it? It's full of surprises.
Whaddya say? You up to the plate? (affectionately and very gently slugs your chin, like a dad or smth PFT 😂💕)

- idk if you have siblings but,, yk how they’ll playfully fight and say “mom/dad found you in the dumpster”?? well that was ACTUALLY the case for you. you were literally found in (near) a dumpster.
- i think april was the one to find you ofc !! she saw you were badly bruised and injured but still held out a fight against her bc you didn’t know her.
- eventually she gets you to calm down and leads you back to the lair. on your walk back she lets everyone know the situation
- when you walk into the lair with april, their hearts immediately drop bc,,, why is there a little kid out in the city alone???
- the first thing they do is take you to med bay to tend to your injuries. it hurts the turtles and april to see a little kid so injured.
- while they’re patching you up, april asks you what was going on and why you were alone. you explained to her that your parents were lost during the war and you had stayed at a foster home before running away bc your foster mom was a pos :(
- this made them feel very conflicted bc on one hand, you need to go back but on the other, you shouldn’t go back.
- they made sure you were asleep before bringing this topic up.
“we can’t just let them go back there… you heard what the kid said!” april exclaimed, her voice was cracking at the thought of what that woman did to you. “i know… i know. but what can we do? there’s obviously gonna be some sort of search or something.” donnie sighed into his hands. “what if we just like… kept them but legally.” leo suggested with a curious look. mikey tilted his head, “do you mean adopt them?” “ahah! that’s what it’s called!” leo snapped his fingers. raph told them they should discuss this in further detail before jumping straight to that.
- so after a very long discussion on what to do, they decide that adoption would be a good choice, but only if you wanted them to.
- when you woke up from your nap, they sat you down and spoke to you about it. you were extremely wary of them, being in the system was difficult and unsafe sometimes.
- you decided to say ‘f it all, if they kill me then at least i’ll go out with a full stomach’
- april is quick to start the process. she knew that she could adopt you. she has a stable income, a two bedroom place, and plenty of time to raise you well.
- once the forms and orders are properly processed, you’re officially released into her care.
- it’s the first time you’ve felt,,, safe since the loss of your parents at 6 yrs old.
- they protect you with their life, train you to defend yourself, and help you with your schoolwork (donnie mainly)
- they see how much potential you have and teach you the hamato clan’s ways.
- they see your burning passion for justice even though you’re so young.
- never would they have thought that a kid (besides casey) would effect them this much.
- they didn’t even expect to be raising a kid, especially all together. it was never in their itinerary. but that doesn’t mean they love you any less.
- you’re their world now and they need to protect you until you’re strong enough to take off on your own. they hoped it’d be long before that could happen.
- also when casey jr sees you he’s just like ‘ayo?! my older sib is a whole child now???’
- then upon hearing this, the clan now knew that no matter what were to have happened, they would’ve taken you in anyways.

A throw back ask if I may. I myself have only just fallen down the BL rabbit hole ( what was life before this?) and currently watching 1000 stars with Earth and Mix. ( Mix is adorable, is that adorableness even legal?)
And I wanted to know if you did a Color theory for this show? Because I know Tian seems to be a Blue boy but the others are confusing me ALOT! and I know there is something very telling with these torches and fire lanterns but I’m sure you have/can put it into much better wording than I ever could!
Yours faithfully,
A watcher who could watch any show in peace before I found your tumblr and color knowledge!!!
Dear a watcher who could watch any show in peace before you found my tumblr,
Short answer - I got nothing for ya!
Long answer - I got something for ya!
Let me start with some of my nothing-to-do-with-colors items:
Tian's growing heart is on full display when the waitress spills red wine on his suit right where his new heart is beating.
Tumblr media
And while filming the scene where Phupha gives Tian his heart (the ring), Mix actually passed out from stress and the weather. In the BTS for the episode, Earth, in character, yells at Tian to stop counting the stars, then Mix's body goes limp, and immediately Earth begins to yell Mix's name. Aof, the director, called cut, and everyone rushed to Mix, while people had to console Earth because he was upset and crying.
Tumblr media
So in the sake of transparency, it was hard to focus on the colors in A Tale of Thousand Stars knowing the issues the crew faced working during a pandemic to bring us such a masterpiece.
But also, the cinematographer for the series was Rath Roongrueangtantisook who tends to rely more on lighting the situation rather than wardrobe to color code the characters (although the colors still mean something on the clothing).
For example, the distance (coldness) Jim and Wen had at the beginning of Moonlight Chicken versus the love (warmth) they had at the end, which was seen with the other characters as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or how angry and pained Nueng was until Palm showed up and subdued his color in Never Let Me Go
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It even happened when Nueng left Palm in the hotel. He stepped back into red from the purple.
Tumblr media
Rath documents some of these instances on his Instagram and usually writes about trying to catch the natural light for the perfect effect.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most color coding he has done based on a characters' personality rather than the situation was in Dark Blue Kiss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But even then he still used lighting to reflect the merging of feelings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So what *I* noticed more in A Tale of Thousand Stars was the lighting of situations which was reinforced by the fire from the torches and lanterns (you're about to get a lot of innuendos).
Tumblr media
Like in episode three, when the heat starts rising between Tian and Phupha
Tumblr media
Only for Tian to turn away, so both end up awkward and distant in the blue, with some heat coming from Phupha and most of the coldness coming from Tian (notice their shirts' colors)
Tumblr media
The clothing supported the narrative, so Tian putting a red blanket over both of them in an attempt to "warm up" (to) Phupha reinforced the situation
Tumblr media
And we immediately get an exterior shot of the house lit up
Tumblr media
The more we see Tian warm up to Phupha, the more we see him in warm colors compared to his normal cool colors, while Phupha was always a solid earth boy with greens and browns due to his uniform.
Tumblr media
Like when Phupha outs Tian to the entire village, we see Tian back in his blues as he returns Torfun's orange journal (the source of his heartbeat and a wearer of warm colors) to Phupha
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not claiming Tian and Phupha were the reason for the school going down in flames, but Tian asking Phupha if he wanted Tian to stay longer all while EarthMix eye-fucked each other in that specific way they can only do which concluded with Tian giving Phupha his pouch did make the temperature rise in my house, so I can't imagine what it did to that little wooden school.
Tumblr media
But look at the difference in the lighting and clothing between Tian realizing his feelings for Phupha versus Phupha denying his feelings for Tian:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even when Tian leaves to go home in the same shirt he arrived in, instead of seeing the blue sleeves, they are covered by Phupha's green.
Tumblr media
However Tian returns, and this time, Phupha literally and figuratively steps up and admits his feelings for Tian by asking him to stay.
Tumblr media
And Phupha and Tian's world is once again lit up as Phupha begs Tian to sleep in the bed with Tian.
Tumblr media
But they get "blue-balled" by Yod
Tumblr media
So we just have to remember the moments that brought the 🔥🔥🔥
Tumblr media
And the moments when their love for each other lit up the screen
Tumblr media
Team Let EarthMix Kiss Before the Finale!

Wanted to ask this for awhile but how come some of your characters get last names while others don’t? How come your jody character gets a last name but a character like eden doesn’t, is it a plot reasoning?
(( INCH RESTING QUESTION !!!!
Wasn’t expecting any munday stuff 2day so that’s why it’s taken me literally all day to answer apolOGIES FKFKKGKGKFKFJ
BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION….
A character of mine only receives last names if it’s… needed for the storyline!
For example, characters like Jody Bennet (ask-Scrafty), Jennifer Constalla (Ask-Wasteland-Labs), M Kirkland (tales-from-Kirkland) and Tide Wave (AskTideTheGastrodon)…. They are all from more structured Anthro Or civilized type universes!
A last name is more or less needed for a more human like or civilized setting. Because it’ll be used more for plot or general character dialogue!
Jennichu will have her name shown on various legal documents! Tide is a teacher so her students would call her by her last name, Ms.Wave! M is part of a well known family of pirates, so the name “Kirkland” is well known! And Jolene Bennet I am just very normal about so I have her entire legal name including last name very detailed and thought out because I am so normal about her.
But someone from like… asktauros! Doesn’t really need a last name? Tucker is a literal bull on a farm. Duskull from AskDuskull is just a little ghost guy! It’s not entirely needed information for them, so I don’t think about it!
OR there are characters like.. Flake from Flake-N-Rudy! Flake has a last name! Their full name is Fae “Flake” Byrd!
The legit only reason Flake has a last name is because I show their mothers gravestone and the setting is mildly more civilized. But I don’t really focus on that information, it’s not entirely relevant so I just don’t mention it a lot! So most don’t know/remember Flake’s last name because it’s just.. not really important? If that makes sense!
As for a case like Eden (since u mentioned him)… he IS in a more civilized setting BUT. He’s a mew, a legendary. I imagine legendaries don’t really have a need for last names? He is “Eden, son of palkia” and that’s his title. I don’t imagine that most legendaries need last names for that reasoning, they just state their title.
But Eden does need to blend in with mortals (or at least did originally) so wouldn’t he need a last name? Probably!! I didn’t really put much thought into that aspect so that’s just pure Author Negligence lmaO.
I’ve always called him Eden Mozzarella Cheese, for personal reasons. So maybe his canon last name is Mozzarella Cheese at this point???
ANYWAYS SORRY FOR RAMBLING @ YOU SO MUCH??? I have !! Words to say!! Always!!
But TLDR:
Characters of mine only receive last names if it is: Beneficial to the story or will be needed due to the setting. The range of importance depends on the setting/situation. Some may have one and it’s important, some may have one and it’s only mentioned once or twice and then some won’t get one at all!
But also!! Extra note!!! A character of mine is more likely to have a last name if they have a parent present. That way I can have their mommy yell their full legal name when they get into trouble. No I’m not joking I’ve sometimes only added a last name for this reasoning fkfk ))

Post "Blue Skies" Storylines: Adrien and Felix
Just a rough idea of how the storylines and characters would continue after "The Blue Skies and Your Eyes". If you haven't finished it yet, there's spoilers ahead! The full series is here.
First, we'll start with Adrien and Felix after leaving Paris and heading to London.
Adrien
Tumblr media
-> Adrien is getting the therapy he needs while in London. He's able to unpack the issues he had with his father, the grief over losing his mother, and repair his relationship with Felix (who occasionally joins him for sessions). I also imagine him getting some social skills training to supplement the therapy. He's a bit hesitant at first, but is encouraged by his Aunt so he can better understand how healthy relationships work.
-> It takes some time for him to settle into London, but once he does, he starts exploring various interests and hobbies he didn't get to before. I've written a post addressing this before, but to reiterate, I imagine him getting into tricking (combination of martial arts and gymnastics that combines kicks and flips), baking, and romance fiction. To add on to that, I also see him joining a book and/or anime club at his school, or starting one outside of it. And since he's into tricking, I think I'd just have him join a martial arts school while we're at it (a glance at the wiki says that he does karate and kung-fu, so whatever school offers one of those is where he's enrolling).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(For those who need a visual reference of what tricking looks like).
-> His friend group consists of some members of the club he joins, people he regularly tricks with, students at his martial arts school, and some normal people at school. And of course, Felix, once the two have addressed the issues between them.
-> He still keeps in touch with Nino and Kagami, and occasionally Alya too. After doing some soul searching and healing, I could see him reaching out to Marinette and Chloe as well. Adrien and Chloe repairing their relationship helps her quite a bit as she's trying to adjust to New York.
-> Admittedly, he shies away from superhero fiction. Oftentimes, he thinks back to when Miracle Queen took the ring from him, and he can get defensive about it. He's aware of his behavior, but it takes him some time to really let go of it.
-> He is still a romantic at heart, but holds off on dating until a year or so has gone by. He wishes to avoid the fumbles he made with Kagami and Maribug, so he focuses on healing and self-improvement first. His first relationship ends up being someone from his tricking circle.
-> Down the road, I eventually see him becoming a romance author. However, he takes a pen name in order to disassociate himself from the Agreste name. He may also change his name legally for this reason.
Felix
Tumblr media
-> While he does put effort into repairing his relationship with Adrien, Felix is well aware that he can never tell him about becoming the Guardian. Over time, he starts to feel a bit guilty about this, but never peeps or hints at it.
-> There were two things I thought of including for him originally in the main story, but never got to address properly: the first was another layer to why he was so hard on Alya. Initially, he was supposed to be a big fan of the Ladyblog, and even develop a small crush on Alya. However, he felt betrayed when he realized she wasn't entirely being truthful on there. The storyline would have focused on their rivalry, and him rekindling his crush on her, but letting go as she was happy with Nino.
-> The other main beat focused on why he was so interested in unraveling mysteries and secrets, which ties back to his own family history. The idea was that every male member on his father's side of the family died relatively young. This would make him concerned over his own mortality, and he would get into investigating the cause of it, since the circumstances were unusual. He would go around involving himself in situations he had no business in, simply to test his own skills.
-> Well, to tie into this new storyline, he'd balance his Guardian duties with finding the answer to this mysterious question. He refuses to admit it, but he's worried about his own mortality, if his own life will end shortly, and if so, by what means. This may cause him to take rash actions and to be called out by various people (Marinette, Luka, Fu, Adrien, etc.) It takes him some time to realize that he needs to practice self-care if he wants to prolong his life.
-> He ends up becoming a beta reader for Alya's autobiography. As they end up having to communicate a lot, I could see him developing a small crush on her, but choosing not to pursue it since she's with Nino. I think she's more observant at this point and picks up on it, but doesn't say anything.
-> You'll often find him spending time in the library doing research or studying for his Guardian duties. He earns the top grades in his class and seems to do so effortlessly. He only joins clubs if it benefits his investigations, with maybe debate team being an exception.
-> He develops a rapport with Marinette and Luka over time, as he continues his Guardian duties. He refuses to call them his friends, but it becomes pretty clear that he's fond of them.
-> In general, he's slow to make new friends. He often meets people when doing his investigations, or if his mom asks Adrien to drag him to one of his events, but they really only stand out to him if they're a person of interest.
-> One person decides to become his rival (for some reason), challenging him to various things, and often losing. When Felix declares that they aren't really friends, this person becomes really competitive... about making Felix his friend. And that's how Felix gains his confidant/sidekick.

spencer charnas / he/him ——— no way is that GODRIC CHERNYKH .. they’re a 35-year-old HUMAN notoriously known for being DEPRESSED & OMINOUS but there are some people who have seen them being SUCCESSFUL & IMAGINATIVE. if you ask me, they remind me a lot of always having a camera on hand, bullet points on a napkin, unsent text messages, five-o-clock shadow, and hand rolled cigarettes, but that could just be because they’re considered the DREAMER around town. just keep an eye on them & see if their true colors shine through..
GENERAL.
full name: godric filipp chernykh nicknames: god, ric, g classification: human gender / pronouns: cis man, he/him age / birthday: 35, november 14th orientations: heteroflexible, heteroromantic occupation: film director & writer location: upper district status: heartbroken family: gavrill chernykh (father, deceased), svetlana chernykh (mother, deceased), giorgi chernkyh (brother, deceased), godric chernkyh (twin), pandora (brother's widow) strengths: succesful, imaginative, empathetic, pensive, philosophical weaknesses: depressed, ominous, morose, obsessive, withdrawn character inspo: eric draven (the crow), edward cullen (twilight), will graham (hannibal), holden ford (mindhunter), vanya hargreeves (the umbrella academy), michael corleone (godfather), marianne sheridan (normal people), tyrion lannister (game of thrones)
BIOGRAPHY.
tw: murder, suicide, blood, graphic violence, abuse
unrelenting passion, it’s the kind of thing that flows hot in your veins and reaches all the way down into your core. when you want someone so bad, need them, it’s hard to breathe air that doesn’t have their taste lingering on your tongue. that kind of passion is rare, indeed, but it can be incredibly dangerous if it isn’t shared. gavrill chernkyh felt this the moment he set eyes on svetlana mirkin.
when someone is that infatuated with a person, it’s hard to deny them. it felt so good to be wanted, to be needed, she was just another girl trying to survive poverty after all. svetlana fell into the beauty of the thing, wrapped up in lust and the heat of the moment. next thing they knew, they were pregnant, having a shotgun wedding, and at each other’s throats.
first came giorgi, and things were good for a while. gavrill was working his way higher up in the crime syndicate his family aligned with. then five years later when things reached their peak, gage and godric came crashing into the world. it was then that their relationship started its downward spiral.
fights started getting physical, passion transformed into something much more poisonous. still, svetlana stayed through the highs and lows until she started to notice giorgi following in his father's footsteps. she wasn't going to have it any longer, she fled to texas with the help of her sister that already resided there and took all three boys with her.
that didn’t stop gavill's passion though, it took him awhile but he found them. and oh, was he angry. out for blood, and that’s exactly what he got. svetlana was torn to pieces in the end. she fought back against him, but she was no match for his skillset. the red cloud lifted from gavill's eyes and he saw what he did, the massive pool of blood, the object of his desire in pieces, his two young boys staring at him in shock. right there he shot himself.
the twins sat in that massacre for nearly two whole days, covered in the mixture of dna that ran through their veins. it was when giorgi came home that authorities were called. despite their crime affiliation, there was no avoiding the involvement of the law.
all three boys went to live with their aunt until giorgi could legally take over the twins' care. the trauma of the situation settling different with the two youngest boys.
unlike his twin, the gruesome departure of his parents affected him greatly. he would find no comfort from his aunt who often couldn't look at the boys due to their uncanny feature similarities to their father. obviously his brothers weren't much help in that, though to giorgi's credit, he tried to offer some. it was him who told his aunt to put the twins in grief counseling.
this was where him and his brothers started to drift apart. while godric had a healthy hate for law enforcement, he wasn't a criminal. he didn't want to make career out of breaking the law. no, he found his passion in telling stories.
he worked hard in school and went on to college, all while distancing himself from his brothers, especially gage. that didn't mean he cut them out completely, but he tread carefully. besides, his twin offered a lot of muse for his work.
out of college he didn't waste a second getting to work and turning pain into masterpieces. though he wrote and directed other things, he made a name for himself in the horror genre. godric brought fresh and innovative ideas to the screen.
eventually he got a steady job with kismet studios that allowed him the freedom to work on all his projects with an extra stipulation of some corporate work now and then. he even met someone that after a long string of failed relationships, seemed to match him in ways no one else had been able to
everything seemed to be going well until he decided to try and make it permanent. godric proposed and that was the end. she never answered him and soon disappeared altogether, leaving him bewildered and heartbroken.
after that, he threw himself into his work and stopped going out like he used to. it has definitely taken a toll on his art, which others have noticed. it got darker and in some ways, much more somber.
he's working on improving that and constantly striving to make the next best thing. he hasn't seen his ex, at that point he figured she'd moved somewhere else and got on with her life. something he needed to do as well.
HEADCANONS.
knows several languages: norwegian, swedish, russian, german, dutch, polish, and hungarian.
can play the piano, violin, and cello - though cello is the instrument he's played the longest.
often basis characters and plotlines on his twin and older brother's stories, he doesn't want to know if they are true or not and this is his way of coping with it.
more coming soon....

7 sins 7 demons 7 robots out to make sure you have a great time in Vegas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You thought Manny was the only robot in Vegas? Naturally, with The 7th Circle being hell themed, they went all in with demon themed robots to populate the hotel and casino, each given a name corresponding to their roles, and the seven deadly sins (though how much it seems to apply to each of them seems to vary).
LORE DUMP TIME
Mammon: Manny is the main operator of The Circle, acting as host, and filling in where needed. He was originally designed and intended to manage the gambling hall and deal tables, however, once able to freely think for himself, he quickly became averse to gambling after witnessing its effects. He can still cut cards, but he refuses to play for anything material, he'd much rather focus on hospitality. Is currently in a loving relationship with Amie.
Lucifer: One would reasonably assume the one named for the great king of evil would be the leader of the robotic band of demons, and up until some time ago, this was true. Luci, despite his robotic body, mostly exists as a server bank in a back room, tasked with managing and somewhat controlling the other robots, and this he does. Save for Manny, who is far more independent due to legal reasons. Of course, if Luci were to crash or otherwise become inoperable, The Circle's operations would be severely impacted, and it is because of this very real threat (which has occurred at least once) that it was agreed Manny should be leader, as he would be relatively unaffected, and thus the one most able to take action. Luci continues to manage the hotel and casino, a role he's always felt suited to, and takes pride in seeing guests being happy.
Asmodeus: Modes can often be found serving drinks from behind the bar. If you happen to find yourself on that "night on the town" sort of situation, he does have what he'd call his "wingman protocols", and while he can't slip anybody a mickey, he can back you up. Now, of course as somebody who can and does facilitate quite a few hookups, he's not gonna let you leave to the rooms upstairs without some... essentials. While he can't ever actually get drunk, he does act like it from time to time if he really wants to, less to encourage people to indulge more, and more to get them to cut themselves off.
Leviathan: Lev, in his snazzy bowtie, works the front desk, checking people in and out, handling guest issues, and taking orders for room service. He has been known, on many occasions, to be a bit pushy; deftly persuading guests to upgrade rooms or get more food or drink from room service. Never to the point where guests go massively out of their budget, and always making sure guests get what they want, ensuring a good impression, and them coming back. His earpiece is entirely non-functional, and is really only there for decoration, though he has used it as part of an excuse to ignore or handoff anyone being particularly rude.
Beelzebub: As one can imagine, Bee spends a lot of time in the kitchen. The only robot with the ability to taste and smell thanks to added sensors (accessed via openable slots in his cheeks), he has a great passion for food. Some of his more experimental dishes can be hit or miss, but the rest of his menu is lauded for its quality and taste. Be warned though, he has an affinity for chocolate, the dessert menu is full of it, and he can go a little bit overboard sometimes. He wears a chef hat to contain as much of his hair as he can while cooking, though has trouble with gloves and aprons, as very few are actually his size.
Satan: S is very no nonsense, and as head of security, he has to be. If you don't see him out on the floor, that's generally a good thing. If you do, it's best to not get in his way. If you find him going up to you, just cooperate, if you don't, or he's concluded you're a problem, god help you. He almost never goes further than kicking someone out and/or calling the police, but he does have the strength to crush bone if it were to come to that. Thankfully, it hasn't, as most troublemakers and punch drunks are intimidated into ceasing their activities. He can be quick to anger sometimes, but is generally kind to those who don't cause issues, and can be a bit of a softie if you actually get to know him.
Belphegor: Bel is often the least appreciated of the seven, and outside of the group of robots, his name is rarely spoken. Ironically for the one named for sloth, he is practically always on his feet, running up and down throughout the building as room service. He's quite efficient, having developed the best routing and shortcuts through the casino hotel, both to keep service fast, and (hopefully) so he can go back to being on break as quickly as possible. If you find anything the 245th and 246th page of the local travel guide (the book provided in most of the hotel's rooms), leave it, guests leave things for him there.
If you managed to get all the way through that, sorry for the massive text dump, and thanks for reading it all the way through

HI CASTLE, WELCOME TO TUMBLR!! (thank the gods you made one, I cannot keep track of twitter to save my life) I considered sending this outside of anon but, I am not ready to be perceived. Anyway- hmmmm I wanted to know a couple stupid things and now I can ask them.
How bad is Celine at keeping updated with the times? We know she uses spectacles. Does she still use quills and ink bottles???? Can she at least use a brick phone?? Does she know what a tamagotchi is.
What does evie do for work? We know what Beth does for work, but as far as I can remember we haven't heard about what evie does.
What is Rose's favourite genre of book? We're certain that she reads in her free time but we don't really know what she reads. Is she into fantasy? Does she secretly have a taste for those mature books hidden in the back of the library that Chloe mentioned? or something else? I MUST KNOW
What name would Ro like to be their official legal name? I'm assuming Ro is short for something but, if I'm wrong just correct me.
I have no questions for Claire, she just deserves a hug.
Actually no, has she talked to ranger about what she's discovered yet?
Who got Beth into therapy? She's clearly grown a lot over the last few years, and her therapist definitely worked overtime for that first year, but I can't imagine that Beth was the one to first take that step.
Will Abby ever follow up on that story of how she felt drawn to glenwood? She seemed pretty excited about it
Speaking of that, is that whole "glenwood called to me" thing, something rooted in magic? Is it orchestrated, is it just things coming together coincidentally? Or things falling into place through some force.
I know you mentioned collabs in your q&a and, I won't rush you cause that's pretty daunting. But- have you considered who you'd want to voice Simon? I know that there's probably other characters who may show up in the future but, Simon is so cool and I would love to see who you envision playing him if you ever push through with a collab in the future.
Did you ever find that color palette of each character that you mentioned during your q&a?
Once again, you do such great work and all of it just brightens my day! I hope you have a good one -Arry
THANK YOU! And don’t worry, I’m still not used to being perceived, this shit is weird
But onto the questions!
1. She’s actually very good at keeping up with the world, it’s just the digital age that’s been so quick, plus the rest of the vamps saving her from the internet. Celine’s a collector by nature so she had every tamagotchi
2. Evie worked as a math tutor and at a grocery store to pay the rent, but now she’s on the pack’s payroll helping maintain the finances for the whole operation.
3. Rose is a sci-fi/fantasy reader and she most certainly knows all about that secret shelf in the back! Her favorite series is the original John Carter books, her most recent read was “The Fifth Season” by N.K. Jemisin
4. Ro is their full chosen name! They no longer go by their deadname and the whole pack has moved on from using it. All the paperwork was to simply make the change official on all their legal documents!
5. She does 😔
6. That little conversation will be next week’s audio! (1/18/23)
7. Beth has been in therapy since she was 13 years old. She stopped going for a while before reconnecting with a new therapist after the whole pack situation happened. Simon was the one to officially get her started and we’ll learn why in Beth’s next audio!
8. Yes, she will! There will be more explanation for what that “pull” is and why the Open Wielder felt it as well
9. I promise that Glenwood isn’t nearly as sinister as people are thinking.
10. Simon is a character who is very dear to my heart and will appears in multiple audios, so finding a VA who could be on standby for that has been tricky! I’d love to hold auditions for anyone who’d like to try out and play him. I always imagine Simon as just a brick wall of a man (think Sig Curtis from FMAB or Massimo from Luca) so I’d love to find a voice that fits that image. No VA’s immediately come to mind but I also wouldn’t want to put any pressure on any creator mentioned.
11. I… completely forgot about the color pallet… adding it to the To Do List!
Thank you for all your questions! I hope you have a great day as well 💛

hi, i love your work and i know you have a lot of experience handling reposts, and i really need help.
i’m an artist who has their work reposted on facebook. i filed two dmca reports with links to the original posts on tumblr and twitter and to the post im reporting, but facebook denied both of them. both for the reason that they couldn’t be certain i was the rights owner.
in the first report i filed, i didn’t put the address in the correct format so i thought that was the problem. the second one, i don’t know what i did wrong.
do i have to use my real house address? the one i provided is the workplace of a family member. do i make “name of rights owner” my full name? i put my username minus the underscore both times i filed. i sign my works like this and it’s visible on the artwork (username minus underscore). do i put back the underscore to make it match my twitter name? my tumblr varies slightly. do i make it match tumblr instead? is there a specific thing i need to write in the “please provide any additional information…” box? do i need a facebook art account to report the post? or is it not working because it’s fanart? i know of artists who were able to get their fanart taken down on facebook so is where i live the issue? i’m really sorry for all the questions. i just don’t know what to do.
Hey there, I am so incredibly sorry this has happened to you. I'll do my best to help.
I'm not sure if my advice is the "best," and if there are legal professionals here who can provide better advice, definitely listen to them! But here's what I have done, with success having DMCA takedowns go through, including on Facebook:
1) I have always used my full legal name, sometimes with a parentheses handlename (tumblr user YukiPri, and/or Twitter user YukiPri_Art, depending on the platform) afterwards. When adding your handle, it should be formatted exactly the way it is to find your various socials, as that is likely part of the verification process. If you have slightly different handles on different platforms, I recommend doing what I did in the example and specifying "Tumblr user XXX" etc for each one. I do believe they still require your full legal name, and you should make very clear which parts of the name field is your legal name, and which parts are social media handles.
2) I have always used my full home address. I completely understand how deeply uncomfortable this is, and I share that discomfort and I am so sorry that you've been put in a situation where you have to experience. I understand the fear of doxxing. But I believe this is also necessary for legal reasons.
I'm not sure if a family member can consent to have their full name/address used in your place, perhaps as a "representative." But I feel like that makes things more complicated, so I've never used it and have always filled out my full info. If anyone with professional legal experience has different advice, I am all ears.
3) You do not need a facebook account, though sometimes it unfortunately is helpful, especially if the post is in a locked account. Either way, you need the link to the EXACT link with the infringing work.
4) Likewise, you need to provide the EXACT link to the work that was infringed, preferably that matches your watermark, since it appears you use one.
From the info you've given me, the only thing I can think of is that they were not able to match your legal name to the address you provided, and therefore cannot verify that you're a real person. I could be wrong. It's stressful, but at the same time I'm glad they have a process in place for making sure not anyone can file DMCA—imagine the chaos and evil people could do if anyone could claim anything was theirs!
It's a horrible and incredibly stressful process to file DMCA claims, and I am so frustrated that we artists have to feel this immense stress to reclaim our stolen work instead of people simply respecting that they have the privilege of viewing our work for free.
I really, REALLY hope this helps you, Anon. Please be assured that Facebook HAS removed my art for me before via DMCA (though sometimes it's taken a while), and I really hope the above works for you.
In addition, while I hate that you have to do more to protect yourself and your work, please consider the following in the future, if you haven't already:
-Add your full url/handle, not just signature to your watermark. I know it's ugly, i HATE having large watermarks, but my watermark has evolved into this for a reason:
Tumblr media
My watermark, shockingly enough, isn't actually for people who have stolen my work, or the few people who might see my stolen work who might decide to follow it back to my socials. I mean, that'd be nice, but I know how rarely that happens.
My watermark is designed more so that it's easy for social media staff to verify that my work is my own when I file a DMCA. I want it to be as easy as possible for them to look at my art and for them to say yup, this is definitely by YukiPri_Art @ Twitter and YukiPri @ Tumblr!
Also use simple, legible fonts. I know it can be ugly, so I do try to color them all or choose different fonts to match the work in question. But again, the main point of this watermark to me is so that staff can read it quickly. I want their job to be as easy as possible.
-I also explicitly state "Do Not Repost" on my artwork itself. I have heard "Oh but I didn't know," too many times, dozens, no hundreds of times, even if it's on the post itself, even if it's in my bio. None of that means anything anyway once someone reposts it. But if I stamp "DO NOT REPOST" onto the art itself, there is no denying that the thief reposted with full awareness that they are stealing, and it is a sign to EVERYONE that they did that. More often than not, people have come to me to tell me about my stolen work so I can file a DMCA because of this line.
-Place your watermark somewhere hard to crop out. If it's near an edge, anywhere that you can square marquee and crop without chopping off essential parts of your art, people will crop. I absolutely despise that I have to do this to my art, but placing it near the center, close to the face/body so that cropping it out would mean chopping most of the image and therefore making it unattractive, usually will discourage the thief from editing it out. After all, art thieves are at heart lazy and do not want to do work for attention.
-In that same line, if your art has relatively flat colors, consider adding a bit of a gradient or pattern/texture, at least to the part with the watermark. Or, simply place your watermark in an area with multiple colors/complex lineart (yeah I know, I hate covering up those parts too). This is also so that a thief at least willing to open photoshop to attempt to erase your watermark will have a more difficult time. If it's too much of a pain, they usually won't bother.
I hope this info was helpful, and again i truly hope you get your case resolved, and that you never have to experience this again!!

The presents just seem to appear. There's no Lupin or Pampam or Kaku seen delivering them, they're just... there, suddenly, when they certainly weren't before.
There's two distinct piles - one with names, and one without. The unnamed ones are rather generic things Lupin imagines a gang such as this would like: spray paints, alcohol, gift cards for various shops and restaurants, some stuffed animals, Potions and pokeballs, one or two games consoles. The legality of their acquisition is... debatable... but what they don't know won't hurt them.
The named pile, is unsurprisingly, mostly Ree's. There are, however, some additional gifts thrown in for their friends. The ones they've mentioned most often, knowingly or not giving Lupin all the information he needed to acquire more tailored gifts for them.
For Ree, he's gotten Hyper Potions, Max Revives and Full Restores. The more expensive, harder to get items that might be difficult to find outside of the big cities. Practical gifts are always needed, especially when their receiver has a penchant for getting themselves into exciting situations. A series of four stuffed Rockruff plushies comes next, one for the initial puppy and the rest for each of its three possible Lycanroc forms.
Finally, buried under everything else, sits a house key. Lupin can't always guarantee that he's going to be in Alola - the nature of his work and criminal status means that he's often running from place to place, hideout to hideout - and so he can't offer the stability he might like to. But the Malie house will remain there even when he's gone, furnished and stocked and with all its bills paid, and... Well, if the kid can find some use in it, they're welcome to it. Lupin won't be needing it once he leaves.
As always, a calling card has been left. This one has no words, and instead features a doodle of Deliclaus sneaking in through the hole in the Shady House roof and leaving the gifts.
if Ree still actually believed in the King Delibird, Lupin would definitely be able to nurture that belief. They have no idea how the guy manages to get through po town defenses, but he does.
The other grunts are buzzing about the gifts. They get passed around, each grunt choosing two or three from the pile and swapping around as they see fit. The grunts who get individualized gifts wonder who it’s from — considering that their interests aren’t very widely known at all — but each of them is grateful regardless
Ree is quiet about their gifts. They know that they’ve been spoiled, lately, by the adults around them, and they don’t want to brag about it. But …
these gifts are meaningful. The house key especially. Ree knows what it means, and…
Maybe, someday, they’ll use it.

I'm conflited about this whole thing. I believe she's been planning this collab for awhile but the fling with MH is still makes me unconfortable and upset with taylor. I think she'll get her number 1 and she doesn't need my support but i won't stick around for this one, sadly
I want to start this by apologising for taking so long to answer it. I always try to answer asks as they come in, but have been preparing for or in legal meetings most the day and wanted to give you respect by giving any response I have to this my full attention rather than a quick 'agreed' and that's it.
I definitely do agree with you that the Ice Spice remix specifically has me very conflicted, and have mentioned so here, on other social media I'm on and to my friends. And it's rough because there's a lot of nuance here.
Like on the one hand I do not want to take away any agency that Ice Spice has because she has every right to say yes to this collaboration, and as someone who hasn't listened to her music, I'm excited for her to get her name out there with such a big opportunity.
But there's always going to be a little voice in the back of my mind that's praying that this is still what she wants and she doesn't feel like she had to be silent at risk of losing opportunities or, given this collaboration seemed to have happened pre Taylor and Matty getting together, feeling like she signed up for something different than what she actually did. Now I want to make it clear that this is not me being like "Taylor is a heinous witch who is silencing Ice Spice", but we've heard from just about every artist in the industry over the years about how the industry is very good at coercing decisions and silencing clients, even in situations where career based anxiety is the main barrier. And I hate to say it, but given how Swifties have dealt with Taylor's missteps in terms of race issues over the years, but I cannot see a situation where Ice Spice says anything less than positive about this without getting mountains of hate.
I've heard a lot of people say that they think this is all a PR stunt to make Matty look good. While I unfortunately think it will have the added benefit of that, given how long this has been in the works for, I don't think that was the initial intention. But in some ways, that makes it worse for me. Like again, if Ice Spice is fine with all of this that is the main thing, but I just cannot imagine being in Taylor's shoes and respecting someone enough to asked them to collaborate just to date someone who did what Matty did to Ice Spice, especially so soon after, and I also cannot imagine being in Ice Spice's situation and not feeling uncomfortable at the circumstances this collaboration is now being released under. Like at least if Matty and Taylor had been a thing before the collaboration, I could feel more sure that Ice Spice was definitely down for all of this in context.
Ultimately though I've never been one for Taylor's remixes anyway so like you said, I'm happy enough to sit this one out or give it one listen and that's it, especially because I'm barely listening to Taylor's stuff atm (mostly just tuning in for the tour surprise songs each week and that's it).
As for the more generalised two extra versions stuff, I've always made it clear that I hate the idea of deluxe CDs that are sold after/aren't available at the time of the album's release date, but like that's just capitalism. Most artists do it and I don't have specific thoughts on it past the fact that I'm not gonna buy the new versions lmao. I do find it kinda weird that she's only selling it at her show for now but I imagine they just didn't get them mass produced in time and eventually it'll be sold in at least her store if not all stores and be put online. And I know people are clowning about Glitch and Paris not being on the CD, but I imagine she wanted to limit it to one disc and they were the least streamed songs. So yeah again, no specific thoughts negative or positive about that side of things.
When it comes to Taylor in general at the moment, I'm still very much in the process of figuring out how and if I want to go forward being a fan of hers. I've mentioned a few times that people of colour who I love have been threatened and attacked throughout this process and more and more tiktoks and posts are coming out to show that this is more universal than it should be and than I originally thought. Because of that, this is unlike anything I feel like I've been through in this fandom and has made me feel the most negative I ever have about Taylor, which anyone who was here in 2015/early 2016 will tell you, is saying something. I'm not going to go over all the ways I feel hurt and have changed how I engage in Taylor's content + feel like I'm here more for the community we've built than for her again, because tbh not only do I feel like I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but as a white person, I don't feel like my voice should be the loudest or most ongoing seeing as a lot of the talk about him has been in regards to the comments on race he's participated in and the ways that Taylor's fans of colour have felt let down over the years. In all honesty, I've only really felt okay to take up the space I have because fans of colour have impressed onto white fans that they want us to in this instance. But yeah I will just leave it with reiterating another ask I answered a few days back that overall, even if I ever do go back to being as big a fan as I was at the start of the year, it's going to take a very long time and a lot of healing to say the least.
