Hi Jalebi! How are you? I hope you’re doing well, I just saw your IPK edit on Instagram for its 13th anniversary and it’s so so good, really amazing.

My question is regarding consummation episode, like I have no doubt in my mind about whether they consummated or not but what really confuses me is the scene that’s followed by later on. Usually in any after consummation scene we see couple in the bed together cuddling but here Arnav and Khushi were in different places. And considering the fact that Khushi remembered all of it and then Arnav and Khushi also talked about it proves that it wasn’t their dream or imagination.

Then why they were shown in separate place? Is it because Arnav drove back home and dropped Khushi at Laxminagar so that their families don’t find out?

Lol you answered your question by yourself but this is my fav scene so here's a lengthy answer.

Ok, this is where our minds fill in. Cause even though TV shows things in far more detail than films do, sometimes they leave a gap where we can draw enough conclusion.

Off screen note: While I would've loved a post sex scene (which is also common in ITV), I do think they didn't have Barun for much time cause it was his birthday (I crack up every time I remember dude shot a consummation sequence for his birthday, lol insert Sanaya Nakuul laughing their heads off at this trivia), which means that apart from the vital consummation sequence, the rest of the episodes where filled with other characters and things they had to do. Which plot wise, imo, doesn't affect anything at all, it was cute seeing what the fam was upto.

I do think a few of us were like did it happen or not (pat on our backs for going yeah man let them make out pre marriage), but also there was a weird lot who was obsessed with thinking they are married so sex is ok or no they didn't have sex cause weren't married properly yet.

But yes, generally TV will have a sequence and I personally love after sex sequences cause it's just so warm and full of fuzzy feels.

Off screen note: Also, wtf was the editor thinking cutting out the shot where Arnav removes Khushi's waist chain? Sigh, that's sooo rude of them to cut.

But coming back to point before this gets too long, what happened was that Arnav-Khushi had great sex, and Arnav quietly dropped Khushi off to her home. He probably waited until she fell asleep and he sneaked out back because, lol, they are getting married in a few hours and the whole house would be up and it would be strange finding the groom in the bride's bed.

Lol.

NK would have a field day though.

So then we see that Khushi wakes up calling for Arnav, remembers she is back at home, thinks more about having had great first time sex and has an adorable moment of OMG I AM GETTING MARRIED TODAY.

Also, they do have the classic 'post sex talk' later in the day. Like the show does a fab job of showing that everything is going in a rush! Like everything is being done asap - and literally the only time Arnav and Khushi do get to chat is legit when they're dressing up.

They barely have the privacy to have a detailed conversation (I love that they TALK when it comes to sex) nor the time so it's just a sweet succinct conversation.

And it's probably my favorite scene in the show cause confident/mature Khushi and sensitive/vulnerable Arnav is my favorite combination.

Arnav's hesitation shows that honestly post sex they really didn't have time so they probably had to race home! Which is why he didn't get to aftercare much, didn't get to ask her how she's feeling. Perhaps he wanted to say more, reassure more. He knows what sex means to her - if just in case she felt pressured or had regrets or even the basic fact it was her first time, if she's feeling ok.

He corrects his question that if she's feeling ok after last night.

And that's what Khushi answers. She hears what he wants to say and not only says that she's fine but that she enjoyed it, literally enjoyed every minute of it and she can't wait to see him.

And Arnav lets out a sigh of relief.

It's one of my favorite scenes in the show. You know the ones which seal that the couple gets a happily ever after? This one.

Aizetsu then Karaku, i think.... Urogi and Sekido are spot on yeah!

Who you choose to pursue first is up to you. This is who gets all mushy for you in what order. once you have Urogi pining, youre hard locked into their route, sorries.

Urogi, he's just a needy guy who gets pretty hungry.. It's easy to set him off at first because while he's reckless, he's not about to trust a stranger! His problem is when optimism and overconfidence accidentally mix making him receptive to you. You can't do anything to him, he's upper four! but once he's in the palm of your hand, he'll refuse to leave. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and any kindness and tending make him really happy. Being with you brings a different kind of joy he never expected. It's warmer, kind of nerve wracking but exciting at the same time. Like he found his place with you. His heart flutters in a way that gets him so giddy, he can't help but want to reach out to you forever! The addictive tightness in his chest pushes him to crave you, since you're the only one who makes him feel this way!

Urogi softens up to you first because you're not a real threat to them. You're just a squishy weakling! A cute one! A reaaaally really cute one, like very cute.. too cute to eat...... DEFINITELY too cute to let anyone else eat!

The rest have their guard up to some degree and won't just throw their heart around at anybody. The world is against them after all!

Aizetsu is a tough nut because of his demotivation and overall apathetic sorrow. He makes no moves to progress or distance himself in the beginning, you're just someone, and he's stagnant. he's quicker to warm up to you than Karaku if you pamper and spoil him a little. like cleaning his spear, providing a place for him to rest, to wash up, or rescuing him from the others into a quieter room. Hell, if you get him food somehow, he stares at you with wide eyes and accepts the gift. It's not difficult to notice how Aizetsu melted after a while when he quietly follows you around like an cat that's constantly seeking affection. What shocks his clone counter parts is how he willingly volunteers to actually DO things for you. You make things so bright, he can't help that he's like a moth to a flame.

That's if you're doting to some degree, but Aizetsu comes around eventually either way, just because you provide shelter (that they technically forced their way into, but never mind that.) He does things with impressive efficiency the others were not expecting he was capable of. So what if he wants to show off a little..?

Karaku isn't easy because he really feels nothing for you aside for entertainment at first. the fact you're able to juggle all four of them amused him is all. He'd enjoy picking and teasing you, the others as well. Calling out when their faces would get red around you and cackling at them. It's difficult for him to tell the difference between pleasure and actual affection, but he never thinks on it too hard. Karaku probably even flirted with you or fought for your attention cause the others wanted it. When asked about you, like your name or interests, he deflected the question. What do you mean? how was he supposed to remember that?! He realized he fell when he's on his own and finds his mind wandering to you, thinking about the little things you do. How you eat, look when something mildly upsets you, when you're genuinely happy. then cusses under his breath cause now he fell for the same trick the others did. Oh, well, no use fighting off these feelings.

Karaku is like the play boy who falls for the first time, except he just needs time around you to actually fall. he accepts it cause this just makes things ten times more interesting. Now he's emotionally invested!! The others clown on him when he slips up and calls you by your name instead of a nickname.

Now for the toughest nut to crack since he's actively rejecting these feelings, Sekido! They rejected their humanity even as a human, why the hell is he going to allow himself to get attached to their food? Because he's as foolish as the idiots he's around, including you! He finds himself sputtering for words if you agree with him after venting, actively listening to him and trying to make his life easier. he's so... conflicted. Similar to the others, he doesn't deny his feelings once they've taken root. he might as well fight air if he were to try. And it's internally comforting to have someone capable of rangling his clones to some extent..

You'd need to have the favor of the others before Sekido fully allows himself to warm up to you. Like the ultra secret tough route of a dating sim..... but its so worth it when you get to see how he sends everyone away except for you so he can "think" on his own and insists that your presence is absolutely necessary.

Flirting was a game to the Yakuza after all, and he’s no stranger to harmless flings. Only when he sees something worth while is he going to drop the less than chivalrous act.

“Do you realize how alluring you are?” Grinned the blindfolded swordsman, leaning his forearm upon the counter. He turned his broad chest to face you, smiling handsomely now; “I could sense you from the next room over.”

M - Moans: How vocal are they in bed?

Kenshi doesn’t care much about how loud he gets but it’s not like he’s one to downright scream. The Taira sounds instead like he’s in the most delicious pain he’s ever felt in his life, groaning long and low with every stroke. Kenshi will tend to curse softly in his tongue, too.

His groaning and curses turn to animalistic grunting when he’s close, pushing fast and frantic breaths of air between clenched teeth. It isn’t until he finally releases that he lets out a toe curling growl, often holding on to his lover with an iron grip as he does. It’s nothing short of satisfying, especially if you’re the one who brought him there.

Sometimes in fiction I love whump bits that are like...idk really how to explain this well but...really bare and described matter of factly?? Like as in a summary of some earlier events in regards to what a character went through. Like; "That winter he nearly died from pneumonia, and spend weeks recovering", "we found her half frozen beside the river bank and had to nurse her back to health", "they lost so much blood in the battle they were unable to stand for a week" etc. that kind of thing. Single sentence, this-thing-happened-to-this-person description.

Of course, I'd never take that over in depth depictions of whump. But sometimes it's fun to have just a teeny taste you can fill in with your own ideas.

back to the usual. junpei shinji brotherism

you’ll genuinely have to pry “where’d his game go?” out of my cold dead hands. we might have never seen it, but it has always been true in my heart of hearts that junpei talks to shinji for love advice and other general brotherly antics. for shinji to express such genuine disappointment in junpei just tells me all i need to know.

i just know junpei is blowing up shinji’s phone fr and their relationship started out w shinji being like “don’t text me” but junpei persevered and he gained an older brother through it. good for him. seriously good for him.

+ it will always be so true to me that junpei would help shinji open up in ways he normally wouldn’t. helping him to be vulnerable in a way that akihiko or mitsuru wouldn’t quite be able to crack despite their time together, only because even they could not be as silly or humorous as one junpei iori. he will get anybody out of their shell and i’ll stand by that forever. junpei you are so special…

I don’t really talk about it much on here because I’m extremely lucky to be able to understand exactly what’s going on in my body, but it’s scary to live for years as someone who Gets Things Done in a way your peers don’t really understand, be putting effort into so many things you care about, and then suddenly lose the ability to do not only that but also basic tasks overnight after a deadline, and bit by bit after many. it’s scary getting really irritable sometimes to the point of violence, just when you were meant to be celebrating the rewards from your hard work, the only impact of the work you did that you can see is that you overdrafted your ability to do anything. including have a basic conversation without getting grumpy or crying. and your body is going to make you pay it back with interest, you already know that, but you don’t know how to start filling yourself back up. you’ve only ever enjoyed being on the grind, hard at work on exciting things.

I don’t know how many of you have been through the kind of burnout that’s years of needing 12hrs of sleep a night but with terrible insomnia, waking up to what feels like a hangover for weeks on end with little relief then rinse and repeat without having a single drink, feeling too sick to eat and needing to exercise to emotionally regulate but being unable to, anxiety that doesn’t come from worry but you’ll pick that up too at some point, dissociating every time you try to do mentally taxing tasks that you’re PAID for so it takes an hour of grounding yourself just to get five minutes worth of productive concentration, falling asleep the minute you feel a little safe by being in the presence of loved ones. but I suspect I’m not the only one.

I’ve had songs for the energetic and angsty times leading up to this. for the exasperated times and the brain fog and the times where all my limited energy is tied up in feeling things. that I need to, need to acknowledge, but it’s overwhelming and I live in a haze for weeks as a result of. songs telling of the kind of youth I wish I had, even when I was sold something else. songs for the months spent as a teenager trying to be there for my friends, worrying for them, distracting me from worrying for myself, trying to cling on to positivity and hope amongst it when I had to choose to make a discipline of always seeing that. I’ve had songs for healing and when healing is harder than expected and songs that have the right level of musical complexity to capture the layers of everything that’s happening in my head, making it sound good, telling me it’s gonna be okay.

I don’t know how I could ever say thank you for this. but I do know that I see parts of myself in the people behind these songs, of course I do, and I worry for them as a result and ache for them because it’s hard enough to feel this way when no one knows me or feels the need to control me or mould me into what they think I should be. I’d do anything to keep them all healthy and happy and all of their loved ones too and I don’t think it’s strange as a fan to take that seriously. I hope we can understand the need to treat them gently, and to while not questioning their privacy and the fact that they’re never going to tell us everything they go through, listen to our intuition when we catch something we relate to and treat what they’ve shared with us or hinted at with the dignity we would if someone we love told us something vulnerable. be kind in our expectations and be intentional in the fan culture we create because it does make its way back to them.

and the same goes with all of you. we’re bonding over the same things. I know a lot of this fandom is in the stage where interpersonal relationships are hard. we don’t mean to be grumpy of frustrated but we are. and I’m sending love to all of you. we can get through this together. it’s what they’ve always longed for isn’t it?
