I know the folks at The Spriters Resource have a ton of work, but seeing my Pokémon Picross sheets get approved within hours while my other sheets from lesser known games have been in pending submission hell for months.................. 😭

Reading about the reason this guy even hit the two victims in the first place just has me furious. First of all, five to six beers?! You shouldn't have been on the road anyway, you fucking moron!

Also I can't stand people who are so impatient they have to drive around someone stopped only to find out, hey! There's a fucking reason!

This actually happened to me at work. A car stopped so I could pass with the carts I was bringing into the store. Another car tried to drive around them only to finally see little old me!

I already can't drive anyway due to a disability but hey, that's me making the smart choice for myself!

was on track to be 20 minutes early for my appt this morning (that i've been waiting 6 months for) and ended up 20 minutes late bc of a crash on the interstate. s/o to the psychologist who still saw me despite this

YEAH SURE!! so the biggest part of this is Juno, Tabby's.. very dear friend

(he's technically a multiple-times-au of a character, he belongs to @/bonniesband, he's a really cool oc in his own right.)

Uh yeah. Well. They're not like this to start with. But Juno, who is considerably wealthy (and the opposite of tabby in many ways) meets it by chance and just can't quite seem to shake it. They have a few things in common- shitty families, talking Very loudly, and being seen as offputting by many. Though Juno makes the best of it and has a decent reputation, unlike Tabby, who most people do not even know exists beyond campfire stories or mentions of a strange vagrant out near the edge of town. Neither of them is fully human/alive, as well, but that doesn't come up right away and isn't as uncommon as you might think in this setting.

Tabby keeps bugging Juno whenever he shows up, and well, he keeps showing up within walking distance of where it lives. It's homeless, but sleeps in the general area of the house it Used to live in when it was a different person. It's kind of.. trapped. Juno chats with it, because it's interesting and doesn't judge him. Eventually he brings it something to eat, noticing how skinny and how hungry it is, and it tries to offer to repay him and he has no idea how it could so he gets something awkward out about its company being payment enough and inviting it to go into town with him sometime. So a few days later it does its best to clean up and gets into this strange rich guy's car and they have a shocking amount of fun together. On the way back he asks about its scars and it brushes him off, but he has started to wonder abouf the things that make it flinch and the fact that it sometimes has new injuries when he sees it after a couple of days.

Also he's a clean freak and when it awkwardly explains it does not have a shower or change of clothes available to it he can't just let that stand for his new friend so he lets it into his house. And it cleans up very well, which definitely doesn't hurt matters.

The fact that Tabby is so taken aback by him just doing things for it without asking repayment, and is very willing to risk its own safety and health on minor things, and the fact that it talks about its family but it still lives alone outside, and the injuries it accrues when with that family which it clearly brushes off... Juno is clueless but he's not that clueless, and he encourages it to spend more and more of its time with him.

He doesn't find its diet to be an issue and he is very durable which makes him good for affectionately biting and he lets it sleep in a spare room and and and... Having access to THINGS and an accomplice and receiving genuine compliments all does wonders for Tabby's self esteem! And being able to consistently sleep and eat (normal food and otherwise) also makes it much more healthy and aware. It mirrors Juno a little, and already has flamboyant mannerisms- it just gets to be more of itself now, lots of the time. It's very happy. It makes other friends, too! Folks from the town, even some kids who it and Juno are sort of foster-parent-figures to (something Juno never considered before meeting Tabby). Tabby tends to be kind of smug and snide with anyone it can gloat over, but children are the exception to that and it's very sweet and considerate to anyone who feels 'different' in a way it can relate to. Who cares if it made that biologist disappear?

It comes to a rather abrupt end when Tabby returns 'home' one last time when it plans to finally move in with Juno for good. The family of the person it killed has been investigating, and word gets back to its old haunt about what it's done. It doesn't leave that place again.

went and saw furiosa tonight! still forming thoughts on it, but it's been a while since i went to a movie by myself so that was just a good time in itself. i love being bombarded with images and sounds for 2+ hours (<- man who once left a farmers market after 20 minutes because it was too overstimulating)
