Right that's it. Dropping everything else this week to spend some time learning how to cook things I can actually stomach.
#had to ditch art group today bc i couldn't sleep so i was already a wreck#and then to top it all off it's been a Bad Food Day so i couldn't eat before it was time to go and i didn't wanna go and then like pass out#anyway recently a lot of my safe foods have been feeling less safe#bc apparently i'm craving flavours#but not too many flavours??? idk man#maybe the t is changing my taste buds#but i can't slog through a plate full of like plain carbs n veg with just salt anymore#so i have to start cooking things#i know i like stuff seasoned with lemon and i know i like chicken tikka seasoning so i guess i'll start there#the trick is gonna be finding ways to cook/season things that gives them the flavour boost i need but doesn't make em all squishy and gooey#frying and grilling and roasting will be involved i imagine#this is why i can't go vegetarian#the food i can eat is already so goddamn restricted#if you cut chicken out of my diet i'd be surviving on potatoes and fruit and you could knock me over with a stiff breeze lmao#anyway. i dislike cooking it takes so much time i'd rather be doing other stuff with.#but i can't rely on dad to help me with this and i need to do somethng soon or we're gonna be in trouble#so if anyone has any super quick easy cooking/seasoning tips (pref. ones that don't involve onions) hmu 💛#mr. bees speaks

Since late June, when my family/family friends suffered 2 deaths in quick succession and then I had a lot of stress surrounding my birthday, I haven't been following my diet as well as I should
I still lost some weight last month, but I feel like I could have done better if I didn't do a lot of off-diet eating while dealing with travel, funerals, and what little bit of birthday celebration I could manage (I definitely had cake and cupcakes that week lol)
So I'm trying to crack down on myself a bit. Within reason
So, of course, here I am at 4 PM on day one of trying to be back on the diet, having sweets cravings. And I know it's just because I'm trying not to snack, that I want to snack.
I'm not starving. I had a nice hearty breakfast, including a coffee with sugar in it. I am not deprived. I don't even feel hungry
But. I wanna bake a batch of cookies. And then eat them. Why am I like this

Y'know...i think wearing earbuds like 24/7 and playing my music and shows super loud probably isn't the best for my hearing..
#it seems I've made my tinnitus worse#i usually don't play my music super loud#but the last few days have been really weird brain-wise#like i have a pretty good relationship with my body and food#but recently I'll get hungry and some little part of my brain is like “don't eat just yet. wait until /this/ time and you'll get skinny”#but i don't WANT to get skinny. like brain we've been over this#it's weird and bad and i don't like it#i think it's my mom again. and her mom#my grandma is very “cut out as many carbs as possible” but it's whatever bc she's super old and sugar makes her bones hurt or something#but my mom has always been super insecure and has tried every diet on the books and always tried to rope ME into it too#which gave me horrible dysmorphia and body image issues that took me like 10 years to get over#and now i am and i love my body and how I'm built in all the ways that made me upset in middle school#and NOW my subconscious decides to get an ED?#fuck outta here#tw ed#anyways.#I'm tired and my ears are ringing

#I really hope this is the reality check he needs to start eating better tbh#he exercises a LOT but still eats like crap#I can’t throw stones bc I’m shit at saying no to garbage#that said I *am* on day 3 of cutting my sugar intake down#a two day long migraine has finally lifted#trying to cut down all refined carbs too#years ago I was high protein and high healthy fats and high fibre and jfc I felt AMAZING#I’d kill to feel that way again#at least I’ve gotten over the hardest part by actually keeping on track for the first few days#they really are the worst 8C#feel free to ignore this#I don’t share a lot of irl stuff here since I’m *old* and oversharing online just doesn’t hold any appeal anymore lol#but still#kind of had to get it all out#my head’s all over the place 8C

Also I really hate how f1 fans perpetuate the myth that athletes are never allowed to eat carbs / sweets like it makes me want to pull my hair out !! Just bc half of those men walk around with eating disorders unhealthy relationships with food does not mean that ALL of them adhere to the same made up ‘rules’. Like can we all stop like .. group shaming drivers whenever they eat smth sweet on camera..? Like ‘hehe look at him don’t tell his trainer’ like ?? STFU WHATS WRONG WITH UUUUUUU why does the fandom collectively find vicarious joy in policing what these men eat ??

carbs contribute to PCOS symptoms and can make insulin resistance much worse, so for people with PCOS or type 2 diabetes, limiting carb intake (notice I didn’t say “eliminating”) is generally a good idea. but you’re right, that doesn’t make carbs evil or bad or any other negative moral thing; it just means certain people with certain medical conditions might have to make different choices than someone without those conditions. - signed, someone with PCOS/insulin resistance who fucking loves carbs (unfortunately)

Jon had to do an emergency grocery run because we ran out of cat kibble and tried to get more from the vet and they were OUT
Anyway. I was like, as long as you're running to the store, why not grab us a little treat for dessert? We don't really have anything sweet in the house. Maybe one of those tiny cakes we could share? Or something else small from the bakery section

last time i bought bread i noticed the "thin-sliced" version of my regular bread was on sale so i was like great i'll just get that. finally got into it like a week ago. it's not "thin-sliced" it's 40 calories less per slice, it's thinner, narrower, shorter, it looks like bread for a toddler. i keep putting my first knifeful of peanut butter on it and thinking "surely that's not enough for the whole slice 🤨" and then it IS. 😭 i'm never falling for this again.
