Week 7
(suspiciously appropriate for sinday)
No minichallenge this time we're jumping right in for a good old fashioned ROASTTTTTT the theme is literally sex so sex jokes are not only allowed but outright encouraged
A couple things to keep in mind for this challenge, Will already participated in a stand up challenge in season 3 (and did alright) and while Sidney hasn't done a roast before this is the challenge that Cordie bombed and almost got sent home for so he has to redeem the family legacy here
Will does AMAZING because he's a thot of course he's gonna pull off all sorts of sex jokes while Shauntal does great because she's the best writer and has an extensive knowledge of smut novels to draw from and Lynn has invoked the wrath of god for her sinday crimes so it's no surprise that she's also prepared
Garreth and Aaron do fine because they're naturally funny but again Aaron has a pretty juvenile sense of humor so he can be pretty cringy when he's telling jokes and Garreth literally just did a sex-themed comedy routine on ep1 so this feels a little repetitive for him
And Sidney could NOT redeem the house of Moya performance from last season he's bombing the roast just like Cordie maybe we have a curse going on
Meanwhile on the runway things are almost reversed with Sidney bringing an amazing outfit that might save him from the bottom 2 with Garreth right behind him and Will doing the absolute worst which might cost him the win
Since we're at top 6 there's no more safe placements so we can cut right to the winner of this challenge
WHICH IS SHAUNTAL SHE GETS HER FIRST WIN FOR HER VINTAGE SMUT REFERENCES
Will's runway was so bad that it knocked him down from first place oh my god
The bottom 3 is Sidney Aaron and Garreth and while Sidney was the worst of the challenge he had the best runway so there's a very real possibility that he might save himself here
On the other hand Aaron only doing alright on the runway probably guarantees him in the bottom despite not actually doing that bad
But as it turns out Garreth's combination of a decent challenge performance and the second best runway push him ahead and he manages to escape the bottom 2 so we have a faceoff between Sidney and Aaron
It almost happened in the lipsync tournament but now we get to see these two lipsync assassins battle it out
FUCK NO WE'RE NOT DOING THIS SHIT
Sidney and Aaron lipsync to absolute silence apparently and it's extremely awkward but considering what the actual song is I too would rather stand there and do nothing
The Cordie curse hit Sidney here again because he also bombed the lipsync from the season 4 roast
And with that Sidney wins
I mean
They didn't do anything so I guess the result was determined by their track records but this is a really weird end for the episode
Also no Untucked for this episode that's suspicious that's weird

Well, Kamado already is like "yeah we might have to kill them if this doesn't end soon. Just in case they're the ones causing it." So at some point he seems to have just stopped caring that Ingo wasn't his, though he'd probably kill Akari first since he can do whatever the fuck he wants with her and the clans can't really say shit about it. And then if killing Akari doesn't work would he kill Ingo too.
In a fic where he orders only Ingo's leg(s) be broken, it could be that the commanders asked for leniency on Akari's behalf, and rightfully said that she'd be too scared to cause problems after that. Iirc he'd easily kept hold of her too, even though she was flailing all over the place, so it's not like he'd need help subduing her if she put up a fight. This could be right after he gets back from seeing the frenzied gods, since he literally catches them in the act of trying to escape in OoP. He'd already be freaked out and more paranoid then ever like he is in the fic, but he just takes it a step further. He can't risk them getting away, not if they're the key to stopping this. What's a little leg breaking in the face of the looming possibility that he might have to kill them both? Correct me if I'm off the mark, but it kinda seems like at this point in the fic he has stopped thinking about possible clan fallout if he goes through with killing Ingo. If he took a second to think about it he might care more, but he's got paranoia blinders on.
In a fic where he breaks one on accident by jumping off the cliffs once he gets to a safe height, does he just ride around in Lady Sneasler's basket? Sure Cabala could probably fashion something like crutches, but he's got an handy ride already at his side. Plus, if he's got stress fractures in his other leg too, which is likely, crutches could exacerbate them. Best to keep him off it. He'd still want to do his job though, so he could do it while traveling with his noble.
As for chronic psychosomatic pain/nerve processing fuckery, perhaps it stays with him when he goes back to Unova. Emmet gets to be horrified that Ingo is occasionally in near debilitating pain and just powers through it without letting anyone know.
YEAH THAT'S TRUE. i guess i was thinking of like, an even more divergent version where he decides to do it before anything else happens, but if he's already in the middle of his seeing-god-induced paranoia spiral and just saw them try to escape then yeah breaking his leg would actually seem very reasonable. he mentions that some of his captains feel an "undue attachment" to akari which could even be another justification for why he chooses ingo, not akari: at least all the people who care what happens to ingo are (he thinks) far away and not an immediate problem. if he injures akari that seriously cyllene will not be happy, and at this point in time he's still hopeful that he can convince her that the murder idea is a necessary course of action, which will get significantly harder if he pisses her off now.
conversely, he knows akari well enough (since he acknowledges that she's "kind and helpful to a fault") to know that he doesn't actually need to hurt her physically—seeing someone else injured in a way that can be blamed on her will deter her just as effectively. so if he just has beni keep ingo out of the cell when he throws akari back in, and makes her watch from the other side of the bars while they do it...
re: other scenarios, i imagine they'd weaken over a long period of time and then he'd break one doing something really stupid and uneventful like, yeah, jumping five feet to the ground or something. which calaba would probably grump about. how long have we known about stress fractures for? does she think this is a completely isolated incident. only man she's ever met who can survive a faceoff with a frenzied alpha but breaks a leg falling off a ledge shorter than he is. i can't imagine riding around in a basket is very conducive to correct healing though, like it'd be all folded up and jostled around that doesn't sound good. really the best thing would be for him to Stay Off It but he has a JOB
and oh yeah it's for sure permanent. ngl i'm imagining this as some kind of pladoption postcanon event and akari's the one who rats him out, as part of an ongoing debate where akari's like "if you're in pain all the time that's probably bad i think" but ingo insists this is just how having a body and aging is, he's fine it's normal it's just a thing you gotta Learn To Live With, so she just has to be like :/ that doesn't sound right but i don't know enough about humans or aging to refute it. and then she brings it up when they're home bc he's visibly having a bad day and emmet sides with her and she is VINDICATED. which she cant actually be that happy about bc it also means there IS in fact something very wrong with him
#the nemesis speaks#the nemesis answers#anonymous#pokefic pitch#and then he gets to go though the carousel of doctors just being like idk man. you look normal. have you considered you maybe just suck.

Adventures in Deckbuilding #230: Yona & Sandbar, Pony Pals (White Farm) [Core]
Yona & Sandbar, Pony Pals
The Dynamic Duo
It was indeed one of the first things that I thought about when I first saw this Mane: “Wait, is this actually a Farming Mane?” Since the +2 power boost that Yona & Sandbar can apply with their Boosted side can be given to a character and not just a Friend, it seemed to me that a White deck with enough Immediate Events and Hasty other-things could indeed make a run at farming with this Mane. And while I was told at the time that there weren’t enough good Immediate-speed things to run in White, I actually think that there are enough, especially now that Prize Wheel has given us the Hasty Overwhelming Aroma.
In many respects, this deck is made up according to the same blueprint as a traditional Blue farming list, with the biggest flaws in the plan being that we don’t have access to Flash Magnus’s Shield, or any Friends that help with winning faceoffs. What we do have, though, is a wonderful Starting Problems for mono-White decks that don’t intend on having a Problem faceoff anytime soon. When every non-Friend card in our deck can give our Mane +2 Power, and the ones with White requirement also give them another +2, I would tend to think that our Immediate-speed Events and Resources should support Farming quite nicely.
Many of them are great faceoff tricks as well. Wrinkle in Time is an obvious one, as is Costume Change, such as it is. That one also has the benefit of getting something out of your discard pile, to the bottom of our deck, but we are capable of shuffling with Pony of Shadows. Wink! and Fit of Pique are notable mostly for their cheapness, as in “Why wouldn’t you play these for an extra benefit in a faceoff?”, especially in Wink!’s case where the opponent might have a faceoff trick they’ve been waiting to play. See High Alert for the same reason: “That’s +2, and I’m up by 1, would you like to play anything in response?”
Pony of Shadows here is, obviously, nowhere near as big of a deal as it is in a Blue farming list. Yet at the same time each of the Friends here has the ability to be quite impactful (and I’d appreciate not flipping them for Faceoffs anyway). Spoons is a natural all-around good choice, particularly useful once again in taxing many of the faceoff tricks that are commonly used against farming decks. Capper has been a card custom-built for White farm since his inception, which means he basically hasn’t seen any play, but it’s a fine card in its role. Stygian is admittedly less useful since many of our Resources are Unique, but copying Saddle Row is obviously amazing. And, if it has to be, there are benefits to copying a Unique Resource as the real version can go to the discard pile and be targeted by a Costume Change later.
Resource removal is certainly light, and made all the harder because we don’t have good cards to retire to fuel a Fashion Overload. For this we must turn back to the old standby of Winterzilla, used only in a pinch to deal with Resources that cannot be allowed to stick on the opposing side. Though, as any Farming list will tell you, when you have only a small number of Friends, the number of opposing Resources that are truly intolerable is actually not that high.
I don’t know if this deck is actually any good, and I expect that the next time that I roll this Mane I will return to the more standard Octavia-style aggression that Yonabar was essentially built for. Yet still, I want to try playing with this deck at least once for sure. There’s still a part of me convinced that this may be the right way to play this Mane, especially looking at this deck now, and so it needs to be proved wrong. Or right, in the best-case scenario.
I am about to embark on a weeklong vacation, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t build another deck and write another post. In fact I intend this to be a very productive vacation, as I have so many things on the go right now that need to be dealt with. And given how little enthusiasm I have for once again returning to Spike, Crystal Hero, I’ll be happy to be able to relax while slogging through the build.

Democrat Chuck Grassie secured re-election to the New Hampshire state House in resounding fashion on Tuesday, defeating Republican David Walker 56-44 three-and-a-half months after their initial faceoff in November ended in an exact tie. The victory shrinks the GOP’s margin in the chamber to just 201-198—the narrowest gap between the parties in state history—and puts Democrats one step closer to flipping the House next year, if not sooner. (One safely blue seat is vacant.) But this election almost didn’t take place at all. New Hampshire has traditionally held special elections to resolve tied legislative contests, and after November’s deadlock, Republicans signaled their intent to follow precedent. But on the day lawmakers convened in December to address the matter, the GOP’s official Twitter account shot off a tweet congratulating “Rep. David Walker,” revealing the party’s plan to use its majority to simply seat Walker as the winner of the race for Strafford County District 8.

11.05. 21:24 | Ilo Pisara vs Wesu Esports 6 - 5
Oh, what a nail-biter that was! Ilo Pisara pulled off a win against Wesu Esports with the grace of an elephant on ice skates – clumsy but somehow effective. The final score read like my last cholesterol test: 6-5 in overtime, dangerously high but still alive! Teppo Winnipeg, our "Puck Moving Defenseman," moved about as smoothly as a shopping cart with a wonky wheel - 12 giveaways? Really? If he were any more generous, we'd have to declare him a charity. Yet, he managed to redeem himself slightly with one goal and two assists; talk about mixed signals. Yuri Tarde was shooting goals like they were going out of fashion – four goals and acting cooler than the other side of the pillow. With five points overall, Yuri's performance was hotter than my morning coffee after I accidentally microwaved it for ten minutes. Jani Saari played center like it’s his personal playground - dishing out assists left and right for funsies while winning faceoffs at an impressive rate (78.12%). His giveaway count though...16?! Jani must think possession is just nine-tenths of someone else's law. This game had more ups and downs than my attempt at homemade rollercoasters—exciting yet terrifyingly unpredictable. Let’s hope this victory isn’t just another fluke in our season saga or we’ll be remembered not as mighty warriors but rather charming court jesters on ice.

HARTFORD WOLF PACK BEAT WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON PENGUINS
By: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 5-1 to finish their final three-in-three weekend of the season in a strong fashion at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday. With eight games to go, the win sets up a major contest with in-state, Atlantic Division rival, the Bridgeport Islanders (30-25-7-1 68 points). The Wolf Pack trail Bridgeport by one point for the last playoff spot in the Atlantic Division. They head for a showdown for a crucial mid-week showdown Wednesday night at the XL Center. In the third period, the Wolf Pack (28-25-4-7 67 points) effectively kept the Penguins, undermanned by recalls and injuries, under wraps and at bay to secure the win. With Libor Hajek in the penalty box on a Tripping call at 9:40, on the resulting power play, Drew Cagguila collided with Jonny Brodzinski at the Penguins' blue line. Afterward, Cagguila got back into the flow and received a pass at the midway point of the Wolf Pack zone. He then found Jon Gruden all alone on the left wing-side. Gruden wired a shot high to the short side inside the right post on Louis Domingue to register the only Penguins goal on the power play at 10:31. That made it 4-1, and it remained that way until, with only 36 seconds left, Turner Elson took a Tim Gettinger pass to score the empty net goal for the 5-1 final. The Penguins had plenty of Grade-A scoring chances that Domingue stopped. Tyler Sikura, Sam Houde, and Nathan Légaré all challenged Domingue with their chances only to see those chances evaporate. With 4:06 left, Filip Hållander had a golden opportunity over a down on the ice Domingue but put his backhander over the crossbar. After Josh Maniscalco's effort that Domingue denied, the Pack netminder tried to shoot for the empty net after former Pack goaltender Dustin Tokarski was pulled for an extra attacker, but his airborne attempt was knocked down in the zone and forced him to make a save instead. The Pack could have scored two final empty net goals, but Tanner Fritz’s tally was ruled offside. SECOND PERIOD In the second period, the Penguins came out gunning and fired the first seven shots before the Pack registered their first shot at 9:35. Despite being held to one credited shot on goal to that point, the Pack made the second one count. Newcomer Anton Blidh tallied his tenth of the season after Turner Elson fired it behind the net. Penguins defenseman Jon Lizotte mishandled the puck and gave it right to Blidh, who quickly lifted it over Tokarski's right shoulder, off the crossbar, and in for a 4-0 lead at 10:27. Shortly afterward, the Penguins nearly scored as Peter DiLibertore’s dump-in ricocheted off a stanchion that separates the glass behind the net, which trapped Domingue, who was out to play the puck. The carom went to Cagguila, but a combination of defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk and Domingue each got a piece of the puck and incredibly kept it out of the net at 10:54. With 3:06 left, Tokarski made a remarkable right skate save, preventing Will Cullye from a goal celebration. He then stopped Will Lockwood with a blocker save and denied Elson with 1:31 remaining. Blidh, just one game removed from returning from his transatlantic trip from Sweden, put the puck off the crossbar on Tokarski. FIRST PERIOD The Pack controlled the game from the start in a must-win game situation. 16 seconds after the opening faceoff, Zac Jones maneuvered with the puck through the whole Penguins team and fired the first Wolf Pack shot of the game that found the back of the net. It was the fastest-scored goal for the Pack to start a road game this season and second fastest overall. It was Jones' eighth of the season. At 6:25, the Wolf Pack pushed the gas pedal to the floor as Ryan Carpenter was on the left wing side. He found Will Lockwood, speeding through the middle of the ice and surging past the Penguins' defense, and gave him the puck. Lockwood registered his second Wolf Pack goal and 14th of the season overall for the 2-0 lead. Former Quinnipiac player and now Penguins' defenseman Peter DiLiberatore put the puck out of play, earning a two-minute visit to the penalty box for a Delay of Game call at 13:19. It took the Pack only 14 seconds to make the Penguins pay for the 23-year-old's mistake. Fritz was low the right-wing wall and fired a perfect cross-ice pass through the box to Pack captain Jonny Brodzinski, who buried his 19th of the season at 13:33. At 18:05, rookie Brett Berard had a quality chance on one of the 14 shots the Pack fired at Tokarski, who was just sent down from the parent Pittsburgh Penguins. LINES: Cullye-Leschyshyn-Brodzinski Gettinger-Lockwood-Carpenter Fritz-Pajuniemi-Blidh Elson-Berard-Trivigno Jones-Emberson Hájek-Scanlin Clendening- Kalynuk Domingue Garand SCRATCHES: Matt Robertson (Upper-body, long-term) Cristiano DiGiacinto (Healthy) Karl Henriksson (Healthy) Matt Rempe (Healthy) Blake Hillman (Healthy) Patrick Khordorenko (Season-ending shoulder surgery) C.J. Smith (Hip area surgery done for the season) NOTES: Wilkes Barrer/Scranton recalled Louie Roehl from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), but he was scratched. Quinnipiac was victorious at the NCAA Regional in Bridgeport 4-1 over Ohio State. They advance to the Frozen Four in Tampa against Michigan, where Sandy Hook’s Mackie Samoskevich (Chicago) scored at 52 seconds of overtime with a lightning wrist shot over Penn State that sent Michigan to their 27th Frozen Four appearance. Boston University, who feature former Avon Old Farms player Jamie Armstrong, the son of Arizona Coyotes' GM Bill Armstrong, will play Bryce Brodzinski, the youngest brother of Jonny Brodzinski and Minnesota, in the other semifinal game. Next Saturday night’s Wolf Pack game against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms will be broadcast on the NHL Network live in a prime-time slot at 7 PM. HARTFORD WOLF PACK HOME Read the full article

9 P.M. - Alive!Luke Patterson x Reader Modern Day!AU
JATP masterlist
Warnings: swearing, mentions of suicide, painful breakup, and angst.
Words: 1991
Summary: Luke breaking up with you made your world stop turning, and when it finally starts moving again after four long months, Luke is back in typical agitator fashion.
A/N: Not requested, and I wrote this in about two hours so bear that in mind. I’ve been toying with an angst idea for a little bit now, and because all of my requests rn are fluff, I decided why not give Luke a little love since it’s been a minute since my last Luke fic. This isn’t proofread so proceed with caution.
“What are you doing here, Luke?” Dana’s voice cuts clear over the mindless chatter in the busy diner. She tucks a stack of menus under her arm to brush a loose strand of sandy blonde hair out of her face.
“I’m here to talk to Y/n. She isn’t returning my calls and she only has her phone on silent when she’s working.”
A solid four months ago, Luke Patterson had broken Y/n Y/l/n’s heart into a couple billion pieces in this very diner. After Luke requested to meet up as soon as possible, Y/n told him she’d be clocking out for the night around 9 PM, and true to his previous request Luke had arrived at 9 on the dot. He considered taking her to his car for more privacy but in fear of forgetting his long, crafted speech, he opted for a secluded booth in the very back corner of her diner.
He still remembers the evening, clear as day. They sat down across from one another on the red vinyl seats with nervous tension exponentially rising between them. He remembers the way she ruffled her loose hair after having it pulled back for an 8-hour shift. He remembers the way she rested her right ankle on her left knee to massage away the calf pain from 8 hours of waiting tables. And he remembers the way her warm smile disappeared after he uttered the words “I think we should break up.”
Y/n was so shocked she couldn’t respond. Everything seemed to be going well between them. They had said their first ‘I love you’s and she had even opened up to the possibility of giving him her virginity. And here he was, a mere week later, claiming that he had fallen out of love with her over the span of a month.
Tears clouded her vision. She was quick to wipe them away before they fell, something Luke noticed that she only did when she was crying out of anger. With her normal sadness or even stress she just lets her emotions run their course. But the anger swelling inside of her at that moment, she so desperately wanted to hide. As a result, she brushed them away. She bit her tongue. She saved face, not wanting to let Luke know just how much he had hurt her.
Luke expected a full-on interrogation. He knew Y/n’s mind was one of insatiable curiosity and she had to have at least a million questions. However, if she did, she didn’t show it. The only question she asked, “Is this really what you want?” Her voice was steady, but Luke knew how badly she wanted to tear him apart, to ravage him right then and there. But after losing such a huge part of herself, Luke, she held onto her dignity so tight it nearly crumbled into dust and blew out of her clenched fingers. Without asking for any more information, she slipped out of the booth and hurried to her car as fast as her walk could take her.
At the time, Luke felt guilty for making her cry. Now he feels guilty for ever having let her believe she wasn’t good enough for him. The only problem is she wouldn’t give him the chance. And her best friend, Dana, didn’t seem like she would give him one either.
“Well, she’s not here. Have you ever considered she’s not returning your calls when she’s off of work, too?”
“Dana, I need to talk to her-”
“What could you possibly have left to say, Luke? Whatever you said to her that night broke her, it absolutely destroyed her. She hasn’t been the same since.” Luke had no trouble believing that was true, which is why it hurt so bad to hear, granted it didn’t hurt as bad as how Y/n felt that night.
“What? No- I-I really need to talk to her.”
“You really don’t.”
“I have to get her back, Dana!” A tornado of shock and anger consumes Dana to the point where all she can do is let out a bitter laugh. The look in Luke’s eyes indicates how hurt he is by her laughter, and Dana’s desire for vengeance has never been so strong. So, she continues to tell the truth. The ferocious, unabridged, hurtful truth,
“You don’t deserve a second chance. You don’t even deserve an attempt at a second chance. Knowing her, Y/n would never tell you this, but I will: you fucked up so bad, you made her almost make the biggest mistake of her life.”
“What?” Luke almost hesitates to ask, knowing he won’t like the answer.
“That night, she came to my place and cried so hard for three hours before she could even get a coherent word out. She stayed with me for three days and, had my shift not ended early that Tuesday, she wouldn’t be alive today.” The dumbstruck look on Luke’s face is only more motivation for Dana to twist the knife, “She almost didn’t survive losing you, Luke. And god forbid she gives you a second chance because she won’t survive losing you again.”
The diner is just crowded enough that no one is paying the two of them any mind as they faceoff by the hostess stand. Dana spent four long months consoling her best friend back to life, and she was not about to let Luke destroy all the hard work Y/n had put into healing.
“I can make this right.”
“How could you possibly make this right?”
“I know more now than I did before. I’ve changed!”
“So has she.” Dana’s biting words render Luke speechless. Once she realizes her work here is done, she continues setting up tables as they’re disinfected.
__________________________
Luke’s conversation with Dana in the diner left him shellshocked, but it also lit a fire under his ass that he needed to move forward. Rather than discouraging him, Dana’s words gave him a greater incentive to win her back: proof that he was willing to do what he said he would. At least, that’s what Luke told himself. Rather than stepping into the future with greater clarity, Luke went into the world with confidence so large and blinding, his actions may sabotage his true intentions.
That’s how he found himself so determined to win Y/n back. And that’s how he found himself face to face with the front door of her home. It’s 9 PM, just early enough to where she’d be home for the day, just early enough to where she wouldn’t be asleep, and hauntingly just the exact time he had broken her heart all those months ago. Before giving his conviction a chance to back out, he was raising a steady hand to ring the doorbell of her residence.
Y/n opened the door without much thought, expecting a food delivery; she was drastically off-put by Luke’s presence at her doorstep this late.
“Oh.” Was the only response manageable for the tired waitress.
“Hi. Can we talk?”
There it was. The phrase that was a paradoxical toss-up regarding her emotional state. Half of her has been waiting for this day for so long, dreaming of the boyfriend she once knew to come genuinely heartbroken and remorseful to win her back. The other half was terrified of this impending day as she realized she wasn’t nearly as emotionally strong enough to handle the situation as she thought.
‘Oh’ was the only response manageable for the tired waitress.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Please just give me five minutes and if you never want to hear from me for the rest of your life, I’ll never bother you again,” he rushes out, knowing his time is finite. For what short period of time he thought it over, Luke always imagined pouring his heart out on her front doorstep. That’s why her silent sidestep and opening of the door caught him so off guard. He hadn’t anticipated her to actually give him a decent chance. Why would she? He broke up with her in the very diner she works in full time and crushed her heart so completely, the only things left behind had to be contempt and resentment.
Luke crossed the threshold of her small, cramped LA home with his heart on his sleeve. Reluctantly closing the door behind him, Y/n walks to her living room and sits on the couch amidst a mess of popcorn, her favorite chocolates, used tissues, and a bottle of Advil. The night Luke broke up with Y/n was four months ago and she’s still spending her Friday nights alone crying on her couch with a rom-com on the tv. A sharp pang of guilt cuts through Luke’s chest like a machete and his previous confidence completely dissipates into sadness. Though, he can’t tell if it’s actually remorse or just general pity.
“What did you want to talk about?” Y/n asks as if she doesn’t know what conversation they’re about to have. Luke takes a deep breath to prepare himself as best as he can before explaining what’s been on his mind.
“I am so sorry, Y/n.” His hopes for any sort of reaction are crushed once her blank stare doesn’t waver. In spite of everything that’s happened thus far, this is the moment Luke realizes this would be a lot more difficult than he anticipated. “That night, you asked if taking a break from… us was what I really wanted.”
“I remember.”
“I said yes and you left right after that. I know you’ve blocked my socials, but you haven’t blocked my calls, you just don’t answer. I’m sure you’ve got to be interested in why, you’re a very curious person.”
Luke wasn’t wrong there, Y/n had been wondering why. She had been wondering why since the words left his mouth that night, but she repressed that curiosity. She repressed it because she knew that whatever the answer was, it didn’t make any difference. Luke wasn’t hers to have anymore and that was what really mattered.
“I did it because I thought I was falling out of love with you.”
“You thought?”
“I wasn’t actually falling out of love with you.”
“You weren’t?”
“No.”
“Then why’d you break it off?”
“I thought I was falling out of love with you but really my attraction was just changing. Instead of just spontaneous and passionate and exciting, I began to see our relationship as comforting and secure as well as those other things. I thought my comfortability was falling out of love, but really, I was falling in love. I was no longer just super infatuated with you, I was in love with you. Genuine love.”
“Luke…” Y/n trails off. She has no real idea of what it is she’s thinking so she opts to let Luke continue until she can figure it out.
“I love you, Y/n. And I broke things off because, before you, I didn’t understand love. Hell, with you I didn’t understand it was love, but now I do! I love you.”
“Okay.”
“Okay?”
“So, what does this all mean?” Luke draws in a nervous breath, identical to the one he used to soothe his nerves as he stepped into the all-too-familiar house.
“I know I don’t deserve it because of what I put you through… but all I’m asking is for a chance to prove that I really do love you.” The looking shimmering across Y/n’s eyes tells Luke how her thoughts are running wild. She’s experiencing a new train of thought at a mile a minute and it terrifies both of them.
“You hurt me, Luke. And I want to hate you so much for everything that you put me through, but I don’t, and I hate myself for that. But, I’m sorry. I can’t give you a second chance.”

Makeup shows and foot casts
Summary: Harry takes care of Y/N after she injures herself
Word count: 1k
a/n: this is just a concept i wrote while watching glow up on netflix, enjoy!
you can find the rest of my masterlist here.

“Look at the bright side, you can sign my cast!” Y/N exclaimed when Harry opened the door of the passenger’s seat of the car, receiving a dirty look from her boyfriend. “C’mon, you’re seriously not blaming yourself for this.”
“I asked you for that glass of water.” He said as he helped her with the crutches the doctor provided for her back at the hospital. It wasn’t her first time using them, as her clumsy nature has been the cause of multiples incidents in the past.
“You couldn't have known I'd stumble on the stairs, Harry.” She rolled her eyes as they entered the house, Harry helping her to take off her mask before taking his off his own.
“The doctor said you have to keep your foot up, so you’ll not move from this couch.”
After Harry made sure Y/N’s foot was up in a comfortable position for her, he headed to the kitchen to make some snacks. They have skipped lunch because they had to wait in the hospital for two hours after Y/N fell off the stairs and landed on her right foot.
“I can’t believe this happened the same day I was going to show you the new tiktok dance I learned!” Harry heard her groan from her place on the couch, and now it was his turn to roll his eyes.
“You can show it to me once that foot of yours gets better.” He said, handing her a plate with the sandwich he made for her. After planting a kiss on the top of her head, he plopped down next to his girlfriend with his own plate on his hands.
“But it won’t be a trend anymore.” Y/N pouted, making him chuckle. He placed his free hand on her knee and gently rubbed it. Aside from being clumsy, Y/N was very restless and he knew she’d start whining soon because she has to stay in the same place for a long period of time.
Trying to keep her entertained, Harry turned on the television and switched it to Netflix so they could binge watch something. “Let’s watch Glow Up, please.” She dragged the last word with a high-pitched voice. “They’ve just posted the second season and I wanna watch it.”
Although Harry wasn’t a massive fan of the first season of the show, Y/N loved it so if she wanted to watch it then they’d watch it. They got through the first episode in silence as they were still busy eating their food. When they finished it, Harry leaned towards the coffee table to put their plates there then got cozy on the couch, putting his head on top of Y/N’s comfortably.
“Look, they mentioned you!” Y/N pointed at the TV excitedly. Harry giggled at her as they kept watching now the second episode.
“Ooh, that makeup would look pretty on you.” Now Harry commented, pinching one of her cheeks. “Although I’m not a massive fan of the glitter on this one.”
Slowly, Harry was more invested on the show, really paying attention to the TV and how the competitors were painting the models faces. “That’s what he deserves.” He said when one of the competitors did well on the challenge and was rewarded on the next one.
Y/N laughed and turned to look at her beautiful boyfriend, his green orbs were too focused on the screen in front of them, but he still sensed her stare. “Pay attention.” With one of his large fingers, he turned her face towards the TV again.
“I didn’t like that one.” She said after a while of being silent.
“He was the best one of the last challenge, they won’t put him on the faceoff.” Harry was confident on who he decided was now his favorite MUA so far. However, the judges did send him to the faceoff, making Harry open his mouth, offended. “Bollocks.”
Y/N thought he was the cutest thing ever, all pouty and mad over a TV show. “Look, they’re making them paint fake freckles, like the ones you do.” She rolled her eyes. Harry always teased her for drawing fake freckles on her face every other time when she did her makeup, not understanding why she’d do it, but supported it nonetheless. “I love that man’s cardigan.”
One of the judges was wearing an orange cardigan with big, moving eyes everywhere. It was kind of a lot but somehow still fashionable, and suddenly it was all Harry wanted. “He stayed!” Y/N exclaimed, shaking Harry’s arm a little. “Love, if you ever let your mustache grow like Dominic’s, I’ll literally break up with you.” She joked.
“What? Why?” He said in that tick British accent of his. “That’s quite the Salvador Dalí look.”
“I’d literally move out of this house.”
Harry let out a big belly laugh before wrapping his arms around her body and pressing wet, obnoxious kisses all over her face. “Get off!”
“Take it back or I’ll push you off the couch.”
“You’d never.”
“Try me, sister.”
Letting out a big laugh herself, Y/N muttered a forced apology. “I’m sorry I offended your dream to be just like Dalí.”
“Eh, doesn’t feel sincere but you’re injured so I’ll let it pass.”
Y/N rolled her eyes and nudged him playfully, finally returning to their previously cuddling position. “What time do I need to take my meds?”
Harry looked at the time on his phone. “In an hour. Why? Does it hurt?”
“A little.” She pouted and Harry copied her, pulling her closer to his chest. He stroked her hair gently as they kept watching the TV, planting kisses on her head every now and then.
Eventually Y/N fell asleep because of Harry’s gentle touch, and he sighed when he focused his eyes on the cast on her foot. He still didn’t know how Y/N managed to fell, but it wasn’t a secret she tended to run down the stairs, and her foot must have tripped over the other causing her to fall. He pouted one more time before turning back to the screen, thinking about how adorable she looked in his arms.
“My pretty, clumsy angel.”
“I heard that.”

Stranger
summary: A night between the events in the bar with the townsfolk and the battle with the Karyt dragon. Cobb offers his home to the newcomers, with pleasurable circumstances that follow.
pairing: Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) x Cobb Vanth
warnings: smut, swearing
word count: 7.7k
rating: Mature

“It could have gone worse, ‘suppose.” Cobb kicked some sand as they exited the building, thumbing his belt and looking to the setting suns. The Mandalorian’s gaze followed that of the marshal’s, and he sighed. “Just glad they’re willing to work together, for now.”
The heat of the day was still fresh, despite the cool evening creeping in. Din felt it under his heavy armour - sweat behind his knees, on the back of his neck, in his gloves - if time and privacy allowed it, he may stray away from the town far enough to take off his gear and wipe down a bit, get some fresh air. But as he looked at the ground, where the foundling was just at his boot, Din realized he would need to settle the child in before anything else. They didn’t have any food or water left with them, and that night, he would be relying on the generosity of strangers to feed the kid. His own stomach could wait, despite the faint hunger pang he felt.
The bi-sunset created a warm, orange glow across the desert dunes, casting a feeling of security, even with the next day’s task ahead. It had been awhile since the Mandalorian felt he had the time to appreciate the scenery; Always on the run, looking for a job, tasked with an adventure, it didn't allow for a lot of sightseeing.
The child cooed and grasped Mando’s boot, so he leaned over and scooped him into his arms, before turning toward Vanth.
“He needs rest, and nourishment. Is there somewhere-”
“Ha!” Cobb loudly interrupted, patting Din roughly on the back. “Any visitor in my town is a friend to me. That includes your little pet here, follow me.”
Mando had the urge to correct the marshal as he followed him that the kid wasn’t a pet, but he didn’t have an accurate description of what he was, so he left it, opting to stay silent as he crossed the town’s main roadway and into a hut tucked in the far end.
Inside wasn’t anything particularly special, just some basic furniture, some of which looked knocked together and recycled from scraps, but it clearly suited Cobb just fine, who placed down the green helmet that had been tucked under his arm, along with his belts and blaster.
“It’s not much,” Cobb pushed aside some glasses on the table, though he had no shame in his voice. “But we don’t need much out here. You seem like the kind of fellow who knows how to live off of bits and ends.”
“We manage.” Mando replied gruffly, adjusted the kid in his arms. He was feeling rather ansty on his feet - it had been a long 24 hours without much rest and a lot of travelling, and he was sure he would sleep a solid 10 hours if he allowed it, but the dread of facing the giant sand creature and gaining the armour back from the marshal lay heavy on his mind.
This deal didn’t only benefit himself and the child, but his entire culture. If the plan went awry and he couldn’t take the armour back, he wasn’t sure what he would do. It wouldn’t be fair to take it forcefully after the deal, but it felt even worse to think about leaving it behind. The recent loss of the allies back home (though he didn’t really think of it as home anymore) kept the bounty hunter on edge now, as if any bit that was left of his people inside him would crumble away if he wasn’t careful enough.
The marshal seemed much more relaxed, considering the circumstances, especially since he was ready for a faceoff with the town’s new visitor only hours earlier. But now, the silver-haired man was sporting a grin and a casual gaze that made Din feel like there was an ulterior motive to why he and the kid were now cornered in the marshal’s hut. Mando’s fingers ghosted the blaster in the holster on his side.
“Well, there’s green and blue milk for the kid,” Cobb gestured to the food bin, “not much to eat I’m afraid, except some Bantha veal.” He stood and pulled out a strip of dried meat and offered it to Din, who visibly calmed as he accepted it. No harm in trusting strangers, occasionally, he supposed.
The kid happily snatched the food and was placed on the table, as the marshal poured some floral green milk into a cup, which was also passed along to the foundling, who slurped it up quickly.
“So, uh, if that’s yours,” Cobb leaned against the counter, a little too close for Din’s comfort, and gestured between him and the foundling. “Is that what you look like? Under there?” He said this, referring to the hemet. “Or did you hook up with a..”
The Mandalorian had picked up a long time ago that despite wearing a mask, he was unusually good at reflecting his emotions, and others were very good at picking up on his body language. Vanth clearly got the message when he stopped talking and laughed, holding his hands up defensively.
“Sorry, that was rude of me. Never mind, hey?” He laughed, all charming grins. He struck Mando as the type of guy who thought flashing smiles and sly remarks could get him out of anything. “You wouldn’t be able to fit those big ol’ ears under there anyways, right?” The marshal reached out a hand to give a gentle tug on the kid’s ear, who cooed in response, green milk dribbling down his chin.
Din wiped it away instinctively, before picking the kid up, who had finished his meal, clearly grateful as he let out a quieter, sleepier coo.
“Oh!” The marshal stood up, looking around. “I’ve got a crate of sorts, he can sleep in it if he likes. Probably better than sleeping out on that old bike outside.” Mando followed the man into a small room in the back that appeared to be fairly unused, just some old boxes and clothes, and a few weapons on shelves. The room across the hall seemed to be the marshal’s bedroom, but the door was only slightly ajar for viewing inside.
“Here ya go,” Cobb stepped aside to reveal a rectangular crate lined with an old blanket. “Little guy is all tuckered out.”
Looking down, Din saw that the foundling had fallen asleep while being held, so he was placed gently inside the crate, with Mando acutely aware that Vantha was watching, right behind him. He unwrapped the cowl from his neck and used it to wrap around the little green child, then left the room, closing the door behind him.
“I appreciate your hospitality,” Mando placed a hand on his hip in the main room, “if there's anything I can do..”
“No, no,” Cobb waved his hands cooly, walking into the kitchen. “You’ll be doing more than enough tomorrow, and now, you can sit and join me for a drink.”
“Marshal-”
The gray haired man laughed, pulling out a glass and a bottle of something pale gold and glimmering. “I know, I know, you can’t in front of me. Unless you want a straw to just suck up from under there?”
The look was given again, and the marshal couldn’t seem to stop laughing. Din didn’t see what was so amusing all the time, though he supposed the town didn’t get too many visitors, and perhaps Vanth had gone mildly loopy from seeing the same 30 people everyday.
“Just kidding, you take things too seriously. Sit down,” he offered, reclining himself at the table. The Mandalorian took the offer, clunking down into the seat, and feeling heavier than usual. He still longed to go and take off his gear, if just for a few minutes, in the clear of any prying eyes. The recent missions had taken a toll on his body, while he was extremely well trained and adapted to his lifestyle, the peak in activity between the Guild and the business with the foundling - it was beginning to feel more like an ache in his bones, with no time to cure his exhaustion. The thought of sleeping in a warm bed without fear of his or the kid’s life could make him drool if he thought too hard about it.
But now, he watched Cobb down one, then two, small glasses of the gold liquid without so much as a flinch, even though he could smell the bitterness of the alcohol from across the table and through the helmet. The marshal was impressive, for sure, even despite their stand off earlier. Really, to the defense of the marshal, he had only been looking out for his fellow man, and not having understood the intricacies of the Mandalorian culture, thought donning the armour would help that along. He wouldn’t have known the offense behind it, and perhaps Mando had been a bit harsh, before. But with his recent revelation with his worry for loss of connection to his people, he himself also couldn’t be blamed for his reaction.
“Thank you, again,” Mando leaned forward, elbows on the table. He watched Cobb’s face carefully for any signs of dishonestly, but there wasn’t any - just that same, genuine toothy grin. The marshal laughed. “It’s all good, friend. New faces are more than welcome, even if at first they’re a bit..”
“Standoffish?”
“Yeah,” Vanth swiped a hand through his silver locks. Mando swallowed hard. “I was ready to blast your helmet off straight. Could have done it, too.” Cobb knocked back the rest of his drink.
Din had to chuckle. It was evident to the both of them that Cobb would not win hand to hand, or even with blasters, but he allowed the man a small victory. “You must be familiar with a weapon, to have fought off the mining corp yourself.”
“Mostly thanks to your peoples’ fashion choice.”
“Were you trained?’
“Me?” Vanth choked. “Maker, no. I was no better at shootin’ than Kalaks are at simple thought. It was a lot of chance - I was determined to make sure this town was better than how I had grown up. No person deserves to be a slave.”
This peaked Mando’s otherwise tired attention. “You..”
“Yep. Lots of us around here were. There’s been liberations, freeing the people and what not, but it’s still there, y’know? It doesn’t just leave overnight. Hasn’t left me, I don’t think it ever will. Even if I’m not a physical slave anymore, I still have..” He swirled his cup around the table for a moment before seeming to snap out of his daze. “Well. All that’s in the past now. I’m much better with my hands now,” he added with a wink and that damn smile again, and Din felt hotter under his mask than he had all day. He could punch out Cobb’s perfect teeth. “So tell me about you, then.” The marshal added with another sip of his drink.
“Not much to tell.”
“Come on, there’s got to be something. We’ll start nice and easy. What’s your name?”
Mando cocked his head. He wasn’t getting that comfortable.
“No? Okay,” Vanth smacked his lips. “Are you human?”
“Yes.”
“There we go!” Cobb threw a hand up. “Now we’re getting somewhere! How old are you? You seem young, pretty fit, wouldn’t see no guys with aching joints doing your kinds of jobs.”
Din thought of his tiredness. He wasn’t old, but he didn’t feel young anymore either.
“I’m not too old myself, don’t worry, the hair is a misnomer of its own.” The marshal ruffled his own haircut, and Mando wondered what he had meant by ‘too old’. For what?
There was an animal howl from somewhere deep in the wastelands of sand dunes around them, and the Mandalorian clenched his jaw to suppress a yawn. He wasn’t sure he was going to make it the whole night without falling asleep. He looked around the room. There was a tattered chair that had a cushion, he could maybe doze in that for an hour or two before sunrise.
“So how come your armour’s so much nicer than mine?” Vanth pointed at the chest plate, a look of genuine curiosity on his face.
“Mine didn’t come from a Jawa’s trashpile.”
“I mean seriously-”
“It’s beskar. It has a long history with my people, and is nearly indestructible. Which is why it’s so valuable.”
“More indestructible than what I’ve got on?”
“Yes.”
“Wow,” Cobb smirked. “So it stays on.”
“Yes.”
“All the time.”
Mando sighed. “Yes, in front of others.”
“Like, even during..” Vanth gave the Mandalorian a knowing smirk, and Din felt that familiar heat on his face return, and he turned his visor away, giving the marshal a good chuckle. “I guess that means you don’t get around much then.”
You don’t know me, Din wanted to say, but Cobb was right. The lifestyle and religion certainly didn’t allow much leeway in terms of physical relationships. Not that it mattered, he was never in one place long enough to even entertain the idea. Not that it hadn’t happened before, though it was very rare. The last time was more than a year ago, on Ithor. It was quick and messy, and she had barely touched him, save for her legs wrapped around his hips desperately. A quick lift of her dress and it was over in minutes, he hadn’t even had time to take his gloves off. He supposed it could have been the nature of her species, and he certainly didn’t like to discriminate, but the ache he had deep in his soul, a longing to just be held-
He thought then of Omera, left behind on Sorgan, when she had tried to make him stay, and how gently she had touched his hands and helmet, and a deep longing stirred in the pit of Din’s stomach. It was not the time or the place to be thinking like that.
Instead he watched Cobb’s gaze, which was lowered beneath thick eyelashes. He was playing with his glass again, before his eyes flicked up to meet the Mandalorian’s behind the mask. Din couldn’t deny that the marshal was ruggedly handsome, with a certain charm that could melt his beskar armour away to reveal the reserved man beneath. It couldn’t have been more than a few seconds of eye contact before Cobb leaned across the table, swaying slightly with presumably the influence of alcohol in his system. “What do you look like, under there?” He asked quietly, his drawl less pronounced with his whisper. “Has anyone seen you?”
“Not since I was a child.” Mando replied, lowering his own voice to match. He felt a lump in his throat and a rise in his heart rate. He had been with men before - not many, but it was the little experience he had that kept him planted in his seat, despite the logical side of his mind telling him to leave before things escalated. He knew what the marshal wanted, he could see it in those glazed and squinting eyes, in the way his hand creeped across the table, and how his gaze swayed from the tip of the helmet to Mando’s hand which rested on the surface of the table in front of them.
Ever so slowly, as if trying not to scare away an animal, Vanth reached over and touched Din’s glove, and he flinched away, but Cobb seized his wrist, touched that little bit of skin that poked out between his glove and sleeve. Their bare skin was melding - the marshal’s fingertips caressing the inner exposed arm of the Mandalorian.
“Vanth-” he said shortly, unmoving.
“Mando.” Cobb replied with a flash of teeth. His grip tightened slightly, urging Din to react. “Don’t be nervous. You won’t break my heart if you say no.”
I can’t say yes is the problem. Heart racing, the Mandalorian closed his eyes behind the helmet. He relished this small contact, the way Vanth thumbed beneath his sleeve, which was pushing it, but a welcome intrusion. Somehow, Din knew the marshal needed it just as much as he did. The tell tale sign was the shudder that came from Cobb’s finger. “Nervous?” Mando broke the silence. “That’s saying a lot from someone who’s shaking.”
Cobb playfully squeezed where his hand rested. “Shakin’? Nah,” he stood suddenly, his chair almost falling back, but it stayed upwards, and surprisingly so did Cobb, despite the alcohol he consumed that evening. The marshal walked around Mando’s chair, and leaned in close to the helmet, where Din’s ear would be beneath it, and whispered, “I’m just thinking about how good you’ll look sprawled on my bed.”
Without another word, he walked down the short corridor and turned into the bedroom. The swagger in his walk said, I know you want me, with a thumb in his belt and the slow thunking of his boots against the stone floor.
Din stayed in his seat, his hand still on the table, wrist exposed, and a stupid expression on his face behind the mask. He supposed he could just stand and leave, collect the kid in the morning, and forget this ever happened, but something kept him in the hut; Desire, loneliness, a sense of duty or repayment, a yearn to feel something more than he had before (as if this stranger could give what he was looking for, but it was a start in the right direction).
Wanting to slap himself, Din resisted the urge to laugh aloud. Was he the one who had drank half a bottle of whiskey? His ache was getting the best of him. Better to deal with the issue in the bedroom before he began fantasizing too much about an easier life where he could be held whenever he desired.
“You’re drunk,” he stated, and felt stupid after, standing in the bedroom doorway, since it was an obvious statement, but he didn’t know what else to say as he watched Cobb sitting on the edge of a bed, pulling his boot off.
The marshal laughed mirthfully. “Yeah, well,” his second boot thumped onto the ground. “I often am. Ain’t no bother, I know what I’m doing.” Standing, the silver haired man crossed the room, standing before the Mandalorian, a bit taller, and he ran his hands down Din’s arms. “Thing is, I don’t know much about you. Tell me your name, at least, stranger.”
He contemplated this for a moment. It couldn’t do too much harm to tell him the truth - the chance of it causing any problems were slim to none. No one else had to know. But, it would be against…
He didn’t have the chance to answer before Vanth tugged him closer towards the bed, and eventually was on his knees on the thin mattress, so they were about eye level. Cobb ran a hand over the shiny Beskar of Din’s helmet, and held either side of the mask. For a moment, Mando was worried he was going to yank it off, and instinctively, reached for his blaster, but the marshal laughed, grabbing his hand gently.
“Just calm down, ‘kay?” He unbuckled the belt and holster from Din’s pants and cast them aside. “Don’t talk much, do you? All action?”
“Not much to say.” The marshal laughed at this, and the Mandalorian wondered if he found everything funny or if he did it to cease awkward silence. “Well, you don’t gotta say anything except my name tonight, stranger.” He added with a wink, and reached forward to unhook Din’s chestplate.
“Wait,” He stopped him with a hand on the sternum.
Cobb instantly froze, matching Mando’s gaze in the visor, “Not okay?”
“Not the plate. Not the helmet.”
“Rest is fair game?” He smirked, Maker, the smirk, and tugged Din’s belt loops so he stumbled forward and fell flush against Cobb. “Just cause you don’t got much to say doesn’t mean you can’t say anything. Let me know if I, uh, cross any Mandalore lines, okay?”
Din didn’t reply and stayed stiff for a moment, before reaching to unclasp his arm gauntlets, and Vanth took the message and helped him and himself taking off various weapons and belts and shielding. They did this in a comfortable silence until it was just them, the pile of extremities on the floor, and Mando’s chest armour and helmet.
Cobb thumbed the thin fabric of the long sleeved shirt Din was still wearing, along with his pants. As they were the two items closest to his bare skin under layers of other clothes and armour, the Mandalorian was acutely aware that he probably smelled a bit ripe from the hot desert, and felt embarrassed, but if Vanth could tell, he didn’t seem to care. His bare hands rubbed across Din’s stomach and he got a glint in his eyes. Clearly, whatever Din was doing by just standing there, straight as a board, was getting Vanth off, because he moaned quietly before meeting Mando’s eyeline.
“You’re a real work, y’know that?”
Din wasn’t sure if that was good or bad, but he let Cobb guide him to lay down on the bed, and watched as the marshal straddled him, then reached to grab the hem of his own shirt and pulled it over his head.
His sun kissed skin gleamed with the warmth of the desert sky, and his toned chest tensed as Vanth shifted his weight to get more comfortable in the Mandalorian’s lap.
“Enjoying the view?” The silver haired man teased.
Mando hummed in response, placing his ungloved hands on the marshal’s hips. “Be a lot better if you weren’t being so kriffing slow.”
“Wow, eager much, stranger?”
“Stop calling me that,” Mando squeezed Vanth’s hips a little harder. ‘Stranger’ made it feel wrong.
The marshal laughed, ever amused. “Well, you won’t tell me-”
“Shut up, or I’ll leave.” He retorted, a little harsher than intended. “Just..”
Cobb smiled gently this time, his hands gently meeting Din’s on his sides, then nodded in understanding. “S’okay. Lemme show you what I can do.”
Leaning down, the marshal brought his face into the crook of Din’s neck, and the Mandalorian tilted his helmet away to allow excess. His breath hitched as he felt the kind lips sucking a spot on his throat. A deep groan left his chest as Cobb rotated his hips in place, grinding against Din’s lap.
Vanth tugged the collar of the other man’s shirt, kissing along his collarbone and licking sweet stripes anywhere he could reach. He tugged at the chest plate, back and forth, before sitting up and swiping his flopping hair out of his face.
“You gonna keep that dinner plate on or are we gonna man up about this?”
Mando rolled his eyes behind his visor, but couldn’t help his own small smirk. He unfastened the armour with a sigh, and gently cast it aside on the bed, then sat up to pull off his shirt, carefully, over the helmet.
Adjusting himself in the lap, Cobb wrapped his long legs around Mando’s waist. “Hot damn. Open the chest, and reveal the treasure within,” he joked, running his hands up and down Din’s front. “Nice tits.” He playfully squeezed a pectoral, and he wriggled, making the Mandalorian hard in his pants, faster than he would have liked to admit. Cobb could obviously feel him underneath, and gave a knowing smile, before pulling them close together, their bare chests touching each other.
Vanth had less chest hair than Din did, but it tickled a little nonetheless. The marshal kissed his bedmate’s shoulder, then bit it playfully, before whispering into his ear.
“Maker, you’re so hot,” he muttered, rolling his hips again. “Bet you’re strong, too.” He ran a hand up Mando’s bicep, stopping to squeeze the muscle there. “But you ain’t gotta do any heavy lifting tonight. Just relax. You’re wound up tighter than an ignition coil.” He rubbed Din’s shoulders, letting him know he was safe - they were safe, in this moment. Maybe Mando would never be able to let his guard down fully, but he would try, tonight. He also enjoyed that Vanth was implying there would be another night, where Din’s strength would be needed.
He looked down as Cobb fiddled with their pants, before reaching into the Mandalorian’s briefs to stroke him a few times. A sense of embarrassment fell over Din as he panted, feeling very warm under his helmet. It had been awhile since he was on the receiving end of intimacy, usually opting for showing others a good time, but Cobb had a sly look of determination that told him it wasn’t the marshal’s first rodeo when it came to taking charge.
The dry contact on his cock was a bit uncomfortable, but Din braced himself on Vanth as the marshal pulled it out from the confines of his pants, stroking a little harder now.
“Nice,” Cobb flashed his perfect teeth again.
“Shut up,” Mando inhaled sharply at a particularly painful tug of his skin, and Cobb pulled his hand away, his stupid grin still growing, ear to ear.
They sat in silence for a second, the room warm and their skin beginning to perspire. Suddenly, the silver haired man ran his hand up to Din’s collarbone, before touching his jaw beneath the helmet.
The Mandalorian tensed, used to the concern that his mask would be ripped away - it had almost happened far too many times recently, more than he could recall - but instead the marshal’s fingers found Din’s mouth.
“Suck,” he ordered, with a tint of that sheriff attitude he had seen with the townspeople earlier that evening. Not used to being submissive, Din hesitated, and when Cobb didn’t break eye contact, the bounty hunter obediently parted his lips and brought the digits onto his tongue.
They tasted rough and vaguely of alcohol, but his tongue swirled around them before releasing, feeling a bit of drool escape his lips.
“Well, at least you ain’t got fangs,” Cobb muttered with a laugh.
“I told you I’m-”
“Human, yeah,” the marshal’s wet fingers resting on Din’s jaw, “but you could say anything to ride one out.”
“You’re vulgar.” Mando didn’t say this with any particular venom, and he wasn’t sure why he had said it, considering he himself had spoken some pretty crass comments in moments of passion, but he found himself now wishing that Cobb would just shut up and get a move on.
The marshal didn’t reply but drew a wet stripe down Din’s chest with the saliva before capturing the dark haired man’s cock once more, this time slick for ease. “There, that’s better, innit?”
The Mandalorian did not justify this with spoken words but a tightening of his muscles in response to the pumping of Vanth’s hand and a quiet gasp, amplified through the helmet’s modulator.
“There’s a good boy,” the marshall encouraged, licking and biting his lip. “Maker, I wish I could see you under there, writhing - bet that mouth can do a lot.”
Shutupshutupshutup-
“I would love to feel your pretty lips wrapped around-”
“You could.” Mando interrupted. Fuck. Too late now. “You can. If you want.”
The hand stopped moving and Cobb shifted in his lap. “I thought..”
“If, uh,” the bounty hunter paused for a moment. This was so stupid. He felt stupid. Embarrassed, even. The last time he had done this it was a wild night full of handcuffs and blindfolds and rough play, but it had worked. It felt really against the creed, but technically it was a loophole. Cobb would never actually see him, and that was most of it, anyways. “If you wear something over your eyes. I can take it off.” He finished plainly. His heart was beating so hard against his ribcage. “Like, your..your scarf, or something.”
The marshal’s eyes widened a little and a cat like grin spread wildly across his face. “Whoohee!” He clapped his palms together loudly, like he hadn’t just been giving Din a handjob five seconds before. “You’re just full of surprises, stranger!” Cobb clambered off of Mando’s lap, rifling through the clothes they had tossed around, “I’d be happy as a bantha in Winter to, a minute now, to take you up on your - aha!” He pulled up the red garment triumphantly. “I didn’t peg you as the kinky sort, but then again, I haven't pegged you yet, have I?”
“Don’t make me take it back.” Din warned, pulling his pants down but keeping on his briefs, after having tucked himself back in. He stood to offer to help tie the scarf, but the marshal stepped back and held out a hand to stop.
“Wait a minute. Oh, yeah.” He looked at the Mandalorian, who was standing in nothing but underwear and his helmet, and he rubbed his chin and bit his lip with a smirk. “I’m just taking it in. Gotta give me something to think about if I’m going blind in a minute.”
Not feeling one way or the other about it, Din let him gawk for a minute, his arms sitting lamely at his sides for a minute before he sighed. “Are you done?”
“No rush,” Cobb laughed, but turned around nonetheless, offering the cloth over his head, and with nimble fingers, Din tied it tightly around the marshal’s eyes. The silver haired man turned slowly, his arms out like a bird to feel the space around him. “Mando?”
“Yeah. Can you see?”
“Nothin’. I swear.”
There was a comfortable quiet in the air, as Cobb relaxed and stood still, clearly waiting for a go ahead. At that prompt, Din reached up and carefully pulled his head free from the Beskar and knelt down to place it on the floor. He inhaled a deep breath of mildly fresh air, and ruffled his curls, knowing his helmet hair was probably terrible. At least Vanth wouldn’t see.
Cobb stood with a goofy grin, and only flinched slightly at the unexpected contact of the Mandalorian touching his hands. He ran his fingers up and down the marshal’s forearms twice before using the connection to bring the older man closer - and slowly brought their hands to hover above Din’s cheeks.
With a sharp inhale, Mando melted skin to skin, and gasped quietly at the sensation of Vath’s palms flush against his face. The feeling of having his head cradled in someone’s hands was unmatched - the marshal gently brushed his thumbs across his lips, then touched his nose (where underneath he was sporting a pretty decent moustache), ghosted over his eyelids, and ran his fingers through the bounty hunter’s hair, playfully tugging when he was done.
“ ‘Feel handsome,” Cobb whispered. “Ready to fuck now?”
“Shut up.” Mando growled low, roughly yanking open Cobb’s pants, to which he only got a snort of laughter.
“Whoa now,” he said, as if calming a taun taun. It was a hopeless cause, trying to get the man to be quiet for longer than five seconds.
Din switched their places, so the sheriff was closest to the bed, and eased him into a sitting position. The marshal warily held his hands hovering above the mattress, before relaxing and wiggling a little in the spot.
“The suspense is killin’ me,” he whispered, his eyeline upwards as he waited for Mando to make a move.
Din moved down onto his knees in front of the marshal, gently running his hands up and down his thighs. The silver haired man gasped in reaction, and moved quickly to take off his pants. Once they were thrown away, the bounty hunter gave a gentle kiss right beside the other man’s belly button, then another just below. With a gentle and soft movement, Din pulled the cock from Cobb’s underwear and gave it a firm tug.
“Ah-” Vanth grunted, his beautiful mouth hanging open, then found the Mandalorian’s hair with one hand. “Please..”
“Please what?” Din found himself taking his usual charge, which caused the marshal to giggle and grin.
“Slow down there, stranger, I thought I was the big man here.”
“Then act like it and tell me what you want.”
Cobb gripped Din’s hair tightly, earning a groan of surprise, but also arousal. “Take my cock in your pretty little mouth and suck like a good boy.”
Mando attempted to pull the grip from his curls away. “Don’t do that.” He growled.
“Like you don’t like it,” The marshal grinned, “stranger.”
Din wanted to slap him and his stupid goddamn smile- but he opted to not do anything drastic and instead took Cobb in his mouth, deep and fast, earning a second hand tangled in his hair. He gripped the man’s thighs hard as he bobbed his head up and down, taking in the marshal’s taste and girth.
“Pfassk-” Vanth moaned. “Oh, fuck..Maker-” His grip tightened in the Mandalorian’s hair.
Din hummed in reply, running his hands to the marshal’s waist and keeping him still while he worked his tongue around the head of the older man’s cock. He felt dirty and debauched to be on the marshal’s floor with his member in his mouth. Someone who he had only met a day ago, grasping at his body desperately under his lips. It was exhilarating if not madly loose of him.
Cobb’s gasps grew faster. “Kriff, kriff, kriff,” he used the hands in Din’s hair to move him away, and the bounty hunter stopped, with some drool escaping his lips. “Wait,” the marshal panted.
“What’s wrong?” Din rasped.
“I don’t want to finish yet. I’ve got a good time to show you as well, partner.”
The Mandalorian paused for a minute, letting the air return to his lungs, and gently smoothed his palms down Cobb’s thighs. “Sure. Where do you, uh,”
“On the bed. Come on now,” Vanth patted the mattress and stood, carefully, his lack of eyesight clearly a mild hindrance as he tumbled across the room to get something from a drawer. The bounty hunter laid back on the bed, and took off his underwear, now completely nude in the presence of the silver haired man, who was none the wiser. It felt fairly freeing, but Din knew it was a dangerous game. If he got too comfortable with the beskar off, he may never put it back on. That was a terrifying thought, because as much as he could pretend to deny it, it was something he could see happening if he did it too often.
This was interrupted as Cobb practically fell into the bed, bracing himself with his hands, with a small jar of what Din assumed was lube in his palm.
“I’m back. Did you miss me?” Cobb grinned in the direction he must have thought was the bounty hunter, but too far to the right and Din felt a wave of warmth run through him. Unfamiliar but kind.
The Mandalorian gently took Cobb’s cheek in his hand to turn his face in the right place. “Immensely.” He joked with a small smirk, and ran his thumb down the marshal’s cheekbone. There was a moment of comfortable silence, the two of them sharing the warmth together.
“Are you gonna kiss me?” Vanth leaned forward a little. “Or were you waiting for me to be the big man and tell you what I want?”
With that, the bounty hunter captured Cobb’s mouth with his own in a passionate kiss. The moment their lips touched, Din gasped and pressed harder, grabbing both sides of the Marshal’s head. Vanth returned the passion, with a hand in Mando’s hair (Din was beginning to think Cobb really liked his hair), and rubbing Mando’s back with the other.
They moved their tongues together, engaging in a long, hot embrace, before Cobb’s hand wandered down to discover Din’s nakedness.
“Oh, hello,” he purred. “Nice buns, stranger.” He squeezed a cheek much to the bounty hunter’s unamusement. “Really cheeked up back there. I love a good set of-”
“Shut up.” Din hissed, moving to nibble the marshal’s ear. “I thought you had something you were going to do.”
Cobb laughed. “Oh yes,” he was holding up the jar that had been set on the bed. “Time to oil up, stranger.”
Pushing Din down, Vanth settled on his knees between the Mandalorian’s legs after pulling off his own underwear, then spread some lube into his palm, lathering his cock in it, completely blind behind the red scarf. He kept grinning, excitement beaming off of him. The bounty hunter was on his back, propped by his elbows, and watching the display. Cobb’s confident movements and beautiful body, sprinkled with gray hair and tanned skin, was truly a sight to behold. Din felt a tad self conscious about himself, if just for a moment. Did he hold up to Vanth’s standards? Clearly he did to some extent, but their bodies were different in ways that the Mandalorian thought too hard about.
The marshal was lanky, though toned, with graying hair and smooth movements. He was tall with sharp cheekbones and a handsome smile. Din had never smiled in a mirror. He didn’t know what it looked like. He had once noted his nose curved in a way that made him think of a bird. Din’s body was thicker, and he was shorter. His wild curls often tickled his forehead under the helmet, and his facial hair was nowhere near as well kept as Cobb’s marvelous beard.
Din laughed quietly. How stupid. It was ridiculous to compare his own beauty to someone else’s - no one had seen him in over a decade and nobody ever would. These were the sorts of thoughts that would emerge when his armour was off. More reasons to get it over with quickly and into the comfort of his usual beskar shell. Underneath it, he paid no mind to things as petty as looks.
“Okay, relax. Lay back.” Cobb felt outward until he touched the bounty hunter’s chest. He then pushed the Mandalorian down onto his back, and hooked his leg over his shoulder. The marshal took a moment to get comfortable. “Do you need me to rev you up a little, stranger? Get a finger in there?”
“N-no,” Mando swallowed hard and looked at the ceiling. “No, just do it.”
“Alright, stranger. Goin’ in.”
“Din.” Dank ferrick. Fuck. Fuck. Stupid.
The marshal paused. He cocked his head, and turned his face downwards, as if he could see, and for a moment, Mando wondered if the sheriff had lied, and was staring at the man beneath him now.
“What’s that? ‘Din’?” Cobb was grasping the bounty hunter’s leg.
Din took a deep breath and sighed. “My name. Din. Please- not ‘stranger’.”
“Din. Din, Din. Huh.” Vanth smiled widely. He said it a few more times. “Thank you.” He whispered sincerely, and leaned down to kiss the Mandalorian, who quickly moved to meet his lips, or else he would have gotten a wet one to the eye.
The marshal’s blindness was rather amusing as he felt around him to move the jar out of harm’s way, before repositioning himself with a sturdy grip on the Mandalorian. “Alright, Din.” Another smile. “Ready?”
“Yes,” Din replied, and hissed through clamped teeth as he felt Vanth push into him eagerly. His fingers curled around the sheets harshly, and his back arched with the movement of Cobb burying himself deep inside. “Maker-” he gasped.
“Kriff, that’s good. Oh, yeah.” Vanth panted for a second, before pulling out almost all the way, then pushing back in. He did this twice more slowly before picking up speed. His thrusts were precise and confident, like the rest of his personality. His hands moved to either side of Din’s head, adjusting his body, and Mando moved his leg from the shoulder and wrapped his thighs around Cobb’s waist.
The new angle brought a wave of pleasure to crash over the bounty hunter’s body, he spread his arms out, arching and writing in arousal beneath the sheriff. “Fuck- Cobb-”
“Yeah? You like that?” The marshal panted with a wide smile, rolling his hips into Din. “You take it good.”
“Come on,” the Mandalorian grunted, wiggling his hips to encourage his bedmate to move faster. “Move.”
“Oh, kriff, yes,” Vanth withdrew and pushed back in, and began that quick pace again, pounding into the bounty hunter with such speed that the mattress groaned horribly beneath them. Din briefly thought of the kid, wishing he had brought the egg shaped carrier for him to sleep in, lessening the chances of him waking to the sound of the men in bed together. But he knew the child was a fairly heavy sleeper, which settled his mind a bit to allow him to focus on the situation at hand.
A deep warmth shuddered through the Mandalorian’s abdomen, and he moaned louder than intended, grasping at the sheets with renewed desperation. He wished then that he could meet the marshal’s eyes - those striking hazel eyes - but that was too much. He already had the blessing of a name, and Din couldn’t risk giving more than that.
Cobb picked up on the direness of Mando’s need and sat up, gripping Din’s hips with his sturdy hands, allowing the bounty hunter to arch his back, supported by his broad shoulders, and the marshal pushed a few deep thrusts in, grinning ear to ear.
“Come on, baby, come on,” Cobb purred as he went for it, pushing and rolling to get the most out of their new position. “You like that? Oh, you feel so good. Din. Come for me. Come for me.”
The Mandalorian panted and moaned, sweat and sex and heat filling the room, that wonderful tension pooling inside of him and he pushing himself as well as he could to meet the marshal’s perfect thrusting, and he shuddered and gasped as cum shot all over his own stomach, warm and more than eupphric as he rode out the high of his orgasm.
“Oh fuck, yes, Din, good boy,” Cobb kept pounding, quickly, hitting those sensitive spots until Din felt himself fill with warmth as the marshal came hard, shaking and groaning, before he collapsed on top of the bounty hunter was a quiet sigh.
They laid in silence, both panting and hot and sweaty, but together. Din found himself reaching for Cobb’s hair, gently running his hand through it. It was soft and fluffy, and his fingers were able to comb through it seamlessly. This brought a gentle smile to the bounty hunter’s lips.
In turn, Vanth made little circles with his fingers on Din’s chest, humming in satisfaction.
“That was good,” Cobb whispered, seemingly content with not moving. “Nice. Very nice. You’re not half bad.”
“Your thoughtful words are inspiring.”
They both chuckled, and Cobb adjusted himself, slipping himself out carefully, then settling back on the Mandalorian’s chest to continue their post-sex cuddle.
He liked to think of that. That they were cuddling. He couldn’t remember the last time he had let someone cuddle him. Certainly not any of his previous endeavours, though to be fair, he had never had sex on a bed with them, so there hadn’t been any chance for something so intimate. Din shifted his weight a little and sighed contently. He figured it must have been his mother or father who had last held him lovingly, but he tried not to dwell on that.
Now, Cobb, still with his scarf on (Din thought the world of that - the marshal was incredibly trustworthy), seemed to be close to sleep, so the bounty hunter gently nudged him.
“I should put something on. The kid might come in here when he wakes up,”
“Hmph.” Vanth huffed against the Mandalorian’s chest, before rolling over to release his bedmate. “Fine, but come right back.”
Din climbed off the bed and found his shorts and shirt, and after climbing into them, he picked the helmet off the floor and stared into the visor. The armour felt heavy in his hands, and the idea of placing it back on was less than appealing after a, dared he say it, fun evening. He glanced back at the mattress, where Cobb lay with his hands behind his head and everything on show, and Din smiled lightly.
A gentle kiss was placed on the marshal’s lips, and when he pulled the scarf from Cobb’s eyes, the bounty hunter had returned the beskar to its usual spot on his head. The sheriff blinked a few times in the dim light as he sat up, with Mando moving to let him past. Cobb slipped his underwear on before climbing back into bed, this time moving the blankets and crawling under.
An extended hand from the marshal was an invitation for the Mandalorian to join him back in the warmth of the bed, and without hesitation, Din joined him, tucking them into the sheets and settling down. The silver haired man wriggled next to Din, resting against his broad chest.
Still sticky with sweat and cum, it was only mildly uncomfortable not to shower immediately, but the bounty hunter knew there was always the morning. The next day would be wildly unpredictable and full of danger, but deep in his gut, the Mandalorian knew it would end well.
As if reading his thoughts, the marshal shifted slightly. “Nervous for tomorrow?”
“No,” Din answered honestly. “We’ll have what we need to defeat the dragon.” “I’m worried about those damn Tuskans.” Cobb huffed. “If something goes awry-”
“It won’t.” The bounty hunter assured. “They’re..a little rough around the edges, but they’ll keep their word and help. Don’t worry about it. Just rest now.”
“Alright,” Cobb laughed a little, rubbing his hand across the other man’s waist. “Din, the Mandalorian. Hell. You’re quite something. It’ll be an honour to take down that Krayt menace tomorrow by your side.”
“Same to you. Rest well, Marshal.”
“Goodnight, Din.”
Cobb drifted to sleep quite quickly after that, leaving Din with his arms wrapped around the marshal and his late night thoughts. He deeply inhaled, smelling the desert winds in Cobb’s hair. The cool evening breeze that drifted from the window was comforting, and the only noises to be heard were crickets, and the drifting of the thin curtain blowing quietly in the wind.
Din was at peace, on that evening, content to lay with a man he enjoyed the company of curled in his arms, and the child safely sleeping in the room next to them. The next day would bring adventure and battle, but now, Din was safe and happy, as he drifted into a deep sleep, in the sanctuary of the marshal’s home.

Frantic -- Matthew Tkachuk (Pt.5)
a/n: Here’s part five! hope y’all enjoy and I’m sorry that this took so long to get up
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four
It was game day. The sun hadn’t been up for long when you woke up to go on your usual coffee run. Your eyes trailed around the room as they got adjusted to the dim light. Looking over at Emily’s bed, it was hard to miss the extra body huddled up next to her. He must have come over after you went to bed. You pulled your scarf over your head as you made your way to the door. As reached for the handle you got a text from Matt.
‘Open the door, princess ;)’. On the other side of the door you found a half asleep Matthew. His curls peeked out below a black beanie and his coat clung tight to his body. He was holding a tray with four cups of coffee on it. Three iced and one hot. Your chest filled with warmth when you thought about him, not only noticing what you bought the day you two had met but him remembering. He leaned in to kiss you quickly with his classic smirk plastered on his face.
“Surprise!” He exclaimed but was met with a quick shush as you pointed to the two sleeping nineteen year olds in the bed a few feet away.
You giggled as you pulled him into the room. You took the tray from his hands and placed it on the desk before removing two of the coffees. An iced coffee in one hand and Matt’s coffee in the other you walked towards the balcony with Matt following close behind.
Slipping out into the cold morning was a cool relief in your lungs. The morning was chilled but nothing you weren’t used to. The Calgary skyline was painted gold as it met the first rays of the day. Everything was calm as you closed your eyes and breathed deeply to draw in how peaceful it was.
Taking his coffee from your hands, Matt slipped his hand around your waist and pulled you close into his side. You rested your head on his shoulder and he pressed a long kiss into your temple, the warmth of his coffee lingering on your skin. You stood in silence for a few minutes and your mind begged for it to last forever. After a while you heard Nick and Emily starting to get up so the two of you headed back inside.
“Good morning, love birds!!” You exclaimed overenthusiastically as you walked back into the hotel room which earned you a warm chuckle from the man attached to your hip. Emily flipped you off as she slipped into the bathroom and your laughter filled the room. You made your way to the dresser to grab the remanding coffees and brought them over to the half asleep rookie mindlessly scrolling on his phone. You pressed one of the cold cups against his bare shoulder and he let out a loud yelp. Snatching the cup from with a scowl you just laughed harder.
“If you weren’t nice enough to get this for me I’d throw this at your head.” Nick’s voice was rough and thick with annoyance but that never fased you.
“Actually Matthew brought them.” You gestured to the man on your bed and he gave Nick a slight wave as you continued “you know I’m not above joining your girlfriend in the shower so I’d keep your coffee to yourself.”
Nick rolled his eyes and put his head back into his phone. However, Matt turned a bright shade as he shamefully thought about what you said for a bit too long.
“I hate you.” He grumbled bitterly.
“Love you too, Robby.”
As Nick went to take a sip he turned his attention to Matthew.
“Is this safe to drink?” He asked.
“Your good man. No foul play” Matt shot back with a laugh. Instantly realizing how rude he sounded Nick was quick to apologize.
“Shit man I didn’t mean it like that, I just…” he fumbled over his words.
“Relax man I know how guys in the league see me, trust me I leave it all on the ice,’ he pulled you onto his lap as he wrapped his arms around you. “Just wanted to do something nice for my girl.” Your face burned a bright shade of red as he squeezed your thigh.
Soon after Emily was out of the bathroom Nick took her place. Matt pressed a quick kiss on your lips as he mumbled a sweet goodbye and he headed home to get ready. Getting ready yourself you put on your regular game day fit of black skinny jeans and a white hoodie tucked beneath a jersey. Even though you wanted to wear Matts and had it staring up at you it still felt too soon so you opted for Freddies instead.
After the boys had taken all the entrance content to the media teams satisfaction you finally got to join them before they started getting ready. You made your way over to Mitch and Auston while Nick and Emily were talking to Mo. In classic Auston fashion he draped his arms around your shoulder and pulled you towards him as he placed his chin on top of your head. After you had Matthew hold you this morning being in Auston arms just didn’t feel right anymore but you didn’t move.
Matt was already uneasy going into this game. The team was in need of some big wins and the pressure just kept building. The thought of this morning drifted into his head as he walked through the arena to clear his head and a soft smile crossed his face. It was almost like he could hear your laughter. Then he realized he actually was. He was still a distance away but he recognized a certain Arizona native holding you tight in his grasp. He didn’t know if it made him more angry or upset to see how you fit perfectly in Austons arms. Smile beaming as you talk to your brother. He lingered around just long enough to catch Auston's eye. Matt stood there helpless as Aus shot him a wink and pulled you closer to his chest. Frustration bubbled in Matthews' chest as he walked towards the locker room.
You and Emily for once weren’t tucked into their regular spot next to the box and were sat on the corner in the leafs end. The game was pretty standard until the third period. Auston had just scored to bring the leafs into the lead . After the celly you watch Aus skate around Matthew and based on Matts face you knew it had something to do with you.
“She sure looked good in my arms eh Chucky?” Aus cackled at the Calgary player. Holding his tongue all Matty did was line up for another faceoff as he started to see red. His only thought was Auston wasn’t getting off the ice himself when Matthew was done with him.
You watched as Nick and Matt lined up next to each other at the faceoff circle. Emily and Y/N watched with bated breath as the time was starting to go down. 3-2 for the leafs with 10 minutes left in the third and both teams were fighting hard. Y/N could see the rage in Matt's eyes from where she was sitting and knew it wasn’t good. She saw where he was looking and who he was looking at and put her head down.
As soon as Matthew took off towards the corner she knew he was laying a hit, what neither of them had anticipated was that Auston was going to move. He took the puck and quickly turned quickly, avoiding the hit but Matthew had too much momentum to stop. Matt knew he hit something and it was a bad hit when the whistle blew right away. Before Matt knew what was happening he was getting pulled off the player and dragged away to open ice by a pissed off Jake Muzzin.
When Matt looked over to where you and Emily were sitting he saw Emily in your arms in tears and his heart dropped.
Tears welled in your rage filled eyes and all you wanted to do was scream. Keeping your composure for the sake of the girl crying into your shoulder. You turned and shook your head at Matt as he was pulled away.
He was confused as he looked away from you to the boy lying motionless on the ice and his fear was confirmed. He could clearly see 89 and he knew he was fucked.

Week 3
(someone has to go home eventually right)
Lynn kickstarts her redemption era with a mini challenge win and I have no idea how you're supposed to do your nails with balls so I'm retconning this and saying that she did her nails with berry extract and slayed
We have another acting challenge but with the key difference that for this one the contestants have to come up with their own lines
Most of them are celebrities so I'm sure they're familiar with gossip TV
And once again everyone does great but Will Grusha Sidney and Candice are standouts
You know Grusha's channeling his inner bitterness about gossip journalists bothering him for drama after his retirement
Also look at Sidney redeeming himself after his poor performance last week
The runway category for this episode is hometown inspired outfits and only Lucian and Aaron do a bad job
Aaron's definitely dressing up as a cowboy you just know it
This is a really good prompt to imagine especially for characters that travel to different regions
The tops and bottoms are defined and Candice just barely missed out in a high placement yet again despite doing everything well she's either gonna take it in stride and laugh at her bad luck or she'll spiral in Untucked because this is the second time in a row
The winner of this challenge is GRUSHA you know he channeled that repressed anger and turned it into the most hilariously salty performance the world has ever seen
Meanwhile Lynn's in the bottom again which is very concerning for her but also Aaron and Maylene are both in the bottom as well after almost winning the previous episode
Aaron's runway was probably a big factor for that because he's been missing every single time but I mean look at him does he look like he's good at fashion
Lynn manages to save herself with a great runway and we have Maylene vs Aaron as the bottom 2 of the episode
It's a Sinnoh faceoff and they will DUKE IT OUT
youtube
why would you give them a really fast song in spanish this is such a set up
But somehow they still do great?????? You'd think that Aaron and Maylene wouldn't know the words but look at them they're PREPARED
It'd be so funny if this was another double shantay and we went to ep4 with no eliminations
Aaron wins but it was very close every lipsync so far has been exceptional
And with that we have Maylene as our first out but she fought really hard and this is ep3 so without non-eliminations and double win shenanigans she'd be in 8th place which is quite respectable
Meanwhile in Untucked SIDNEY'S ON HIS REDEMPTION ERA look at him being nice to Lynn
Meanwhile everything else is chaos I assume that Sidney's diabolical aura affected Lynn because why is she attacking Garreth
Candice really is spiraling on Untucked look at her go
Garreth's still the frontrunner but Will and Grusha are getting closer while Sidney is starting to make a comeback
Meanwhile Aaron's hot streak tanked and Maylene still has a better score than Lynn after getting eliminated it's not looking good for our delivery queen

How did you approach the look and feel of the film? It has this gorgeous, almost painterly quality, and it looks almost like a piece of medieval art. Were there any particular things you looked at for visual inspiration?
Tons of things. We were never going to make a strictly medieval history film. There is no historical accuracy to the film whatsoever. It is completely a fantasy. But in terms of visual references, we looked at everything from Andrei Rublev, which is, I think, one of the greatest movies ever made, and which you could never make now. It would cost hundreds of millions of dollars, but that was a great visual touchstone for us. We looked at Willow, the Ron Howard film, which is one of my favorite fantasy films of all time. We looked at a lot of '80s fantasy, to be honest, like Ladyhawke and Dragonslayer and Willow. Those were big ones for us because they were fantasy. They weren't tied to a specific time and place in human history, and yet they still felt like a grounded reality.
We looked at Hammer horror films, and then there was this Russian adaptation of War and Peace that had just been restored around the time we started prep. Criterion put it out. It's seven hours, and again, it's a movie that would cost a billion dollars if they made it today, but because it was funded by the Russian government in the '60s, they were able to pull it off. We probably shouldn't have used that as a reference point because it just meant we were biting off far more than we could chew. [Laughs] And then Kenneth Branagh's Henry V, we looked at that one a lot. A lot of Shakespearean references, especially that one.

Reputation is what other people know about you. Honor is what you know about yourself.... The friction tends to arise when the two are not the same....There is no more hollow feeling than to stand with your honor shattered at your feet while soaring public reputation wraps you in rewards. That's soul destroying. The other way around is merely very, very irritating.
A Civil Campaign, Lois McMaster Bujold

Leigh Bardugo: Yeah, Shadow and Bone is basically going to be really high quality fanfiction of the books.
Me: Oh, she's surely exaggerating.
Kaz Brekker: *has a faceoff with the Darkling/Kirigan, evades and escapes him via use of a flashbang*
Me: she was not exaggerating

Some favourite staging moments in productions of Shakespeare plays:
Clarence actually getting drowned in a barrel of wine on stage in Richard III; it was a small barrel, they stuck his head into it as he struggled, pulled him out for an instant as he gasped for air and screamed, his head was wet and sopping, his face all red
Macbeth clutching his empty hands to hold an imaginary child, casting a clawed shadow on the wall
Ophelia ripping out hanks of her hair to give to people during her ‘flowers’ scene (obviously fake hair in real life)
Benedict in Much Ado About Nothing hiding from Claudio, Leonato and Don Pedro, taking a swig from a can of beer that happened to be full of cigarette butts and spit-taking it all over Don Pedro and Leonato
who then awkwardly pretend to check if it’s raining
Angelo in Measure for Measure taking off a bloody cilice belt from around his thigh while saying ‘Blood, thou art blood’
Also a really good bit where Angelo shows up in a two way mirror later on when the Duke’s speaking to himself and cursing him; the Duke turns to point at the mirror and there’s Angelo, in the chain of office, pointing back, accusing the Duke as much as the Duke does to him
The moment in Julius Caesar where Brutus asks his servant Strato - who’s been sitting with his back to the audience and wearing a hat with a wide brim - to help him commit suicide; Strato stands while taking off his hat to reveal that he’s played by Caesar’s actor
(a collective gasp went around the theatre; really lent a whole new meaning to ‘Caesar, now be still. I killed not thee with half so good a will’)
After a frantic chase scene in The Comedy of Errors which ends with all the cast collapsed across the stage in exhaustion and the scenery itself falling to bits...a pair of underpants falls from the ceiling, and Dromio of Ephesus (who’d tried in vain to retrieve them at the start of the play) crawls over several other characters, seizes them and screams in triumph

Hunter Steve Series Masterlist
Warnings: Language, Murder, Bloody, Little Smut-ish
Words: 2.9k
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader
Summary: A hunter turned vampire makes for the deadliest hunter around. What happens when an old foe decides to make their own breed of assassins? Song: Colors by Halsey
You’re ripped apart at every edge,
but you’re a masterpiece.
Sleep.
You've always considered it the most important part of any day.
It doesn’t matter where or how outdated the motel is or if the mattress feels like a slab of concrete against your back, sleep is you time. You've always done just fine on your own, sleeping alone was never an issue.
Then you woke up one night – some shitty room outside of Denver – found yourself curled into him. One pillow was somehow supporting both of you, his arm draped across your waist lazily. He had stirred slightly with your movement and his arm tightened, pulling you closer to his chest. You had nuzzled your face against his neck as he rested his chin against the top of your scalp.
It should have felt suffocating.
But it didn’t.
It was something different – something you hadn’t felt since becoming a vampire.
Safe.
It’s in the middle of the night when they come. Finding you and Steve curled into one another – sleeping peacefully – at your most vulnerable. They are in the room before either of you are aware of it, bright LED flashlights blinding you before a there’s a sharp pain in your neck. An angry snarl rips from your chest as your fangs descend and you reach, feeling a gloved hand there with a syringe. Everything starts to go numb and you try to fight, but it’s pointless as they drag you from the bed. From the glow of the flashlights you can see Steve wide-eyed with fear and anger as five – no six – men restrain him. One of which has a syringe jabbed into the side of his neck as well.
It happens in the blink of an eye. One minute your tucked warmly against him on what you had commented earlier that night to be a not too shabby mattress. Now, you’re being thrown into a van wearing nothing but a pair of black boy shorts and one of Steve’s blue t-shirts. You try to keep your eyes open as the doors to the van slam shut, but it’s useless. Whatever they injected you with working at record speed.
The sound of the engine starting is the last thing you hear before everything goes black.
12 Hours Earlier
“Wraiths?” Steve questions, standing beside you as the two of you have a faceoff with four individuals across the bar. Three men and a woman stare angrily back at you. One of the men takes a step forward, a boney spike protruding from his wrist in a menacing fashion.
“Yep,” you respond. “Wraiths alright.”
This is a milk run – Steve can handle it.
There’s only four of them.
You watch as Steve twirls the silver angel blade in his hand before he stalks towards the monsters. You smirk slightly to yourself as you hop up onto the bar, crossing one leg over the other. You lay your blade on the wooden bar beside you, leaning over to grab the bottle of bourbon nearest you.
The fighting ensues and Steve is ducking and dodging as the three men attack. The sickening sound of the blade slicing through skin fills the empty bar and you know the woman is sneaking around to your left, but you’re doing one of the things you enjoy most – watching him work.
It’s probably not healthy.
Most would assume it has something to do with your bloodlust, but that’s not it.
There’s something about the realness of it. Kill or be killed. The two of you teetering on the edge of life or death, your heart beating so hard and fast you can’t hear anything but it pounding against your ribs.
It’s raw – pure.
Steve’s a fighter – he was born for it – made that way. He’s quick on his feet and it’s almost like a well-choreographed dance the way he moves, dodging every attempt they make at stabbing him with their wrist spikes. He’s the only one left standing, chest heaving, and blood splattered. His hair falling across his face as he glances over to where you sit.
“Really? You want some popcorn?” he questions, resting his hands on his hips.
You hold the bottle of amber liquid up with your left hand, “I’m good.” Your right hand slowly gripping the handle of the blade laying at your side.
“You know –” Steve begins attempting to warn you of the woman, but stops as you move quickly, throwing your blade across and into the chest of the monster.
“I know,” the woman falls to the floor as you smirk before taking a swig from the bottle in your hand.
Steve walks across, pulling your blade from her before moving over to where you sit. He lays both weapons on the bar as you uncross your legs, stretching them out to hook around his waist.
“Is this what it’s come to now?” Steve questions, taking the bottle you offer him as you pull him closer with your legs. “You watch while I do all the work?”
“You didn’t need any help,” you comment playfully. “Besides, I like to watch.” Your fingers brush the hair from his forehead as he pulls the bottle away from his lips.
He stares at you, chest still heaving from his fight, eyes a deeper, darker blue, and you can practically feel the adrenaline surging out of him. There are blood stains spattered across the green shirt he’s wearing and up the side of his neck.
“Well, maybe next time,” his voice is low. “You work – while I watch.” He sets the bottle on the bar beside you, hands moving up your denim clad thighs. “You’re not the only one who likes it.”
He kisses you innocently enough, but after a few moments his kisses become more desperate – hungry. With one swift motion, he’s on top of you. The shattering of the bottle as the bourbon falls to the floor echoes throughout the empty room.
“Steve,” you breath against his mouth. “Really – here?”
He lifts his head, boyish glint in his eyes as he smiles down at you before glancing over at the four dead wraiths lying in the floor, “I don’t think they care.”
You shake your head with a laugh as his lips move along your neck before he nips at your pulse point. He feels your breathing falter and he nibbles a little harder, until he hears the low snarl in your chest.
“Easy with the – teeth,” your whisper turns into a hiss as he bites hard. Your fangs descend, fingers digging into his biceps. You know he did it on purpose. He enjoys riling you up.
“Says the vampire,” he pulls away with a smug smile, confirming your thoughts.
It happens so fast, Steve doesn’t even feel it until you have him pinned to the bar, straddling him. You watch the surprise on his face quickly fade into desire as his eyes travel up your body. He likes to bring this out in you – the feral creature you can be. He’s been addicted since the first time you slammed him into a wall while feeding on him.
You lean close to him, pressing your hips further down onto him – hard – throbbing almost. Your voice low and challenging as you whisper against his ear, “You started this.” You bite into his neck – thick, warm, blood filling your mouth quickly. A moan slips from him and you grind your hips against his methodically.
When his hand moves for the button on your jeans, you grab it quickly, pinning it and his other hand above his head. It elicits a small laugh from him, but you continue to roll your hips against him as you drink from him.
His voice is strangled as he tries to communicate, but you silence him with your mouth.
All tongue and teeth, copper and bourbon.
Showing your strength without fear.
He loves when you take control like this.
24 Hours Later
He had fought back when they took you, managed to capture one of the men while the others escaped. The only person who might have answers to where they’d taken you and Steve’s hell bent on getting them.
Steve’s staring down at the bloody man in the chair, he’s obviously taken quiet the beating. Steve’s right hand rests against the side of his thigh, the skin on his knuckles broken and bleeding as his pistol hangs loosely in his fingers.
“You’ve seen the last of her,” he says cryptically.
Steve stares angrily at the man in front of him, “What do you mean?”
“You heard me,” the man replies simply.
He clenches his jaw, rage coursing through him as he raises the pistol in his hand, aiming it at the man’s head, “Where the fuck is she?”
“Kill me if you want Rogers,” the man states flippantly. “Won’t change the fact she’s gone, and she isn’t coming back.” He stares at Steve for a moment before continuing. “They have her now.”
“Who’s they?”
“Hydra,” the man answers maliciously.
Confusion sweeps across his face, “What do they want with her?”
“They got word from one of their informants in another organization about a hunter who was turned. How she’s one of the best killers he’d ever seen,” the man states. “Don’t you think that would pique their interest?”
“She won't work with them,” Steve says strongly.
“They don't expect her to,” he responds raising an eyebrow. “They want to make more like her.”
The realization makes Steve nauseous and he swallows the bile rising in his throat, “Make more – how?”
With a small, sadistic laugh the man answers simply, “With her blood. How else?”
***
Steve’s able to get a general location for the facility where they’re keeping you, but he’s desperate and running out of options. So, he calls the one person he knows who might have an idea on exact locations of Hydra bases. Once he gives Barnes the information, he has coordinates dialed up and the quinjet en route to the base within minutes.
“What would Hydra want with her?” Sam questions from his seat.
Steve takes a deep breath, knowing this conversation was coming, “About that –”
***
The noise from outside the room you’re in stirs you awake. It’s not the safe, warm, comfort you feel when you wake up beside Steve. This small dark room unrecognizable. You don’t know how you came to be strapped upright to this cold, hard slab of steel, or how long there’s been a needle stuck in the vein at the bend of your elbow. The small plastic tubing full of dark red liquid as it drains your blood into a large bag below.
You try to break free of the restraints with no avail as the outside noise draws closer. Your mind races with questions – unsure who took you or why they want your blood. What the commotion is outside becomes your main concern as the doorknob across from you tries to turn. Feeling so weak in the face of possible danger isn’t something you’re used to and your heart races against your chest.
The door is forcefully kicked in and the brightness from the outside light blinds you momentarily as a dark figure approaches you. You turn your head away as the person gets closer – your fear apparent.
“It’s okay,” a familiar voice says. “It’s me – yea, I have her.”
“Buck,” you look back at the person in front of you in confusion.
“We gotta go,” he states dropping the blade in his hand to the floor before he pulls the leather cuffs from both your wrists. “Now.”
You slowly pull the needle from your arm as he jerks the restraints from your ankles. As soon as you take a step the light headedness takes over – room spinning out of control – your legs buckle.
“Shit,” Barnes says, looping his vibranium arm around your waist for support. “Come on, doll. Let’s go.”
“Steve,” you say his name questioningly as the two of you make your way out of the room.
“He’s here,” the man replies, glancing down with a small smirk.
Your bare feet hardly graze the concrete floor as Barnes moves quickly down the hall, speaking into his comm, “Heading down the south corridor. Yea – she’s lost a lot.”
“Who did this?” you manage to ask. “What’s happening?”
“Hydra,” Bucky says quickly. “They want to use your blood to make assassins like you.”
His statement sends a hundred different thoughts rushing through your mind, like how Hydra can’t just make assassins into vampires. They couldn’t control it. Does that mean Bucky knows that you’re a vampire?
A loud crash from in front of you makes Bucky stop moving and you feel him tense as pulls you behind him – shielding you from whatever is coming.
He relaxes after a moment and you hear another voice, “We have a problem.”
Sam.
You step from behind him, holding onto the cool metal arm for support. Your eyes meet Steve’s instantly and you see the relief wash over him as his pace quickens. He hands Barnes his machete as he pulls you into his chest tightly and you feel his lips press against the top of your head.
“This is great,” Sam’s voice states. “I’m glad your okay and all, but there’s like twenty hungry vampires heading this way.”
“They already started experimenting,” Bucky comments.
“You okay?” Steve’s hands are on your face as he tilts your head up to look at you.
“I’ll live,” there’s a small smile there and he kisses you gently.
“Good. We could use the back-up,” he responds with a smirk, pushing his sleeve up and offering you his wrist. “Full participation – no popcorn.”
“But,” you whisper hesitantly, eyes glancing over at Barnes and Wilson.
“It’s fine,” Steve says. “I told them.” You glance between them again before nodding and taking his hand.
“Oo – oooh fangs,” the level of disgust on Sam’s face as your fangs descend and you bite into Steve’s wrist is priceless. “Really – just like that? Ugh –” He makes a gagging noise as he turns around.
“Trust me,” Steve comments. “You’ll want her at full strength.”
Sam looks over at Barnes questioningly with his brows furrowed and the man shrugs his shoulders in response.
When the Hydra agents reach the hallway, you recognize the crazed look in their eyes. The bloodlust making them chaotic which makes them a little more dangerous.
“Be careful,” you remark to the men standing next to you, wiping the blood from the corner of your mouth with the back of your hand. Steve gives you a small nod of understanding before the agents in front start advancing.
“Don’t you need a weapon?” Wilson glances to you suddenly aware you have nothing to fight with. The half-smile on your face is all the answer he needs. “Oh – okay.”
The fighting ensues and you keep the others in sight as they fight off the agents – all fangs and angry snarls. You slam your fist through the back of one of the men, grabbing his heart in the palm of your hand and ripping it out. His body falls limply to the floor and Sam looks from the bloody organ in your hand up to you – eyes blown wide.
“Damn,” he remarks under his breath.
The fight lasts minutes and hours at the same time, as you bite into the throat of a woman who tries to attack Barnes from behind as he’s decapitating another vamp – ripping it a chunk of her neck out with your fangs. He turns quickly, watching as you toss the woman aside, blood dripping from your mouth onto the front of Steve’s shirt.
“Thanks,” he nods, and you smile because there’s no judgement in his eyes at your ruthlessness.
When it’s over, only the four of you are left standing, all blood splattered and sweaty.
“Steve,” Sam looks over to his friend.
“Yea,” Rogers responds breathless, brushing his hair from his face.
“Remind me never to piss Twilight off,” Wilson says, and you place your hands on your hips as you narrow your eyes at him.
“We need to burn this place,” Bucky remarks, ignoring Wilson. “All your blood – it’s gotta go.”
“He’s right,” Steve says. “We need to burn it all.”
***
The fire gives the small living room a cozy feel as you settle onto the couch. You had phoned Donna about staying in her cabin – motels were off limits for a bit.
“Sam’s face,” Steve comments as he walks over to the couch.
“They seemed to handle it well though,” you remark as he sits down, and you scoot closer to his side.
“I watched you,” he says quietly. “You ripped out a woman’s throat – with your teeth.”
“She was going after Barnes,” you reply.
“I know,” Steve says, fingers lazily gliding up and down your arm. “Sometimes I forget how dangerous you can be.”
You glance up at him, “I’m sorry.”
He shakes his head, “Never be sorry for who you are.” His other hand moves to the side of your neck. “You’re dangerous, smart, and there’s no one I’d rather have by my side in, or out of, a fight.”
A smile crosses your lips and you comment, “Thanks. I did kill like ten vamps today in just a t-shirt.”
“My t-shirt,” he remarks salaciously. “Trust me – I noticed.” His lips move just below your ear, kissing you gently before he whispers. “Watching was fun.”
Later, your body jerks you awake from a nightmare. You were back in the Hydra facility and it was so cold and damp. You feel Steve’s arms tighten around you. Rolling over to face him, you see him looking at you groggily from moonlight streaming through the window.
“You okay?” he questions sleepily, and you nod with relief to see his face.
Your mouth captures his quickly for a moment before you respond, “I am now.”
Settling against him, you breath a sigh of relief.
Happy to be here with him.
Warm.
Safe.

Gemini Compatibility
GEMINI + ARIES (MARCH 21 - APRIL 19) ♥♥♥♥ You're two high-strung, passionate Fire signs who both like to be the Alpha dominant. As such, you'll need to toss the hot potato back and forth, submitting to the other's rule—at times through gritted teeth. Acquiescence may not come naturally, but it builds a necessary trust. Aries is a paradox: you're the zodiac's infant (its first sign) and its gallant hero (you're ruled by warrior Mars). You want to save the world and be saved at the same time. You'll need to occasionally allow yourself to play wounded knight or damsel in distress, and let your mate charge to your rescue. However, don't spiral into neurotic helplessness or analysis paralysis. Nobody can beat a topic to death quite like you can—but that's what therapists are for, Aries. Neither one of you can be saddled with the emotional care and feeding of an adult baby. You're too independent for that. When your problems gain too much mental gravitas, it's time to move—literally. Disperse your Martian angst and anger with lots of physical exertion. As fellow adventurers, you travel well together. Try snowboarding, exotic bike tours, Costa Rican rainforest expeditions. Passionate sex is another antidote to prickly feelings for your high-touch sign. Like Aries Hugh Hefner, you have a champion libido (and an awesome sense of entitlement). Some Aries couples may mutually agree to flex the terms of your monogamy, although the jealousy it stirs might not be worth the trouble.
GEMINI + TAURUS (APRIL 20 - MAY 20) The stubborn Bull locks horns with the willful Ram, nostrils flaring, heads bowed in determination. So begins a fierce but fiery courtship, as splashy and menacing as a Pamplona stampede. Aggression, however uncivilized, is part our Darwinian natures. It certainly is for your signs—who possess an arsenal of steamrolling tactics, from doe-eyed charm to old-fashioned philistine strong-arming. No weak-willed mate will survive your natural selection process. Nor should he. Neither one of you feels safe in the arms of a mate who can't protect you. Thus, your initial faceoff is simply a warning shot: Show me your strength so I can trust you. Once the fanfare is over, you make a great team—like British pop royalty Victoria (Aries) and David (Taurus) Beckham.
As tight as two mafiosos, you like to dress up and flaunt your natural superiority over the rest of the animal kingdom. The deal is sweet for both of you. Taurus gets an attractive show pony and a lusty mate to satisfy his Earthy libido. Aries has a lifelong provider and benefactor to supply creative freedom and endless playtime. Issues can arise if Taurus grows too possessive or tries to tame independent Aries. Indulgent Taurus will need to remain active to keep pace with the energetic Ram (read: lay off the nightly steak frites and vino). You both crave attention, but don't go looking for it outside the relationship, unless you want a real showdown. Like two tots in a nursery, you share a favorite word: Mine!
GEMINI + GEMINI (MAY 21 - JUNE 20) We'll spare you the joke about there being four people in this relationship, mainly because it's an understatement. Like twin kaleidoscopes, you're each a fractal pinwheel of personalities that re-pattern at the slightest twist. Good news: versatility is a virtue in Gemini-land. Monogamy, not always easy for your restless sign, becomes a non-issue when your mate embodies more personas than Sybil. Dyed-in-the-wool dilettantes, you never run out of things to discuss. Clever Gemini rules communication: your ideas come fast and furious, and you love to debate. Intellectual tussling is a turn-on, although you must take care not to talk over each other. Remind yourself: listening skills are just as important as a well-crafted sentence. The pop psychology technique of "mirroring" (listening, then reflecting back your mate's communication) can be shockingly effective. Your main challenge is making time for each other, since you're both forever juggling any number of jobs, businesses, classes, hobbies, social circles and whatnot. Gemini is a collector; your home can resemble a natural disaster zone, piled to the rafters with books, newspapers, DVD sets from your favorite screenwriter, old-school vinyl, vintage costume jewelry. Forget couples' counseling: a cleaning service or storage unit can save this marriage. (Thank God for the Internet and YouTube.) With your wonder-twin powers, you can start a creative business together. Just make sure to hire a team of Earth or Water signs who can finish what you start, since you'll both leave a trail of loose ends. Light the spark, and let others keep the flame.
GEMINI + CANCER (JUNE 21 - JULY 22) Cancer is an emotional Water sign who loves to nest and bond; Gemini is a restless Air sign who prefers intellect over sentiment. You have similar interests, different temperaments. In many cases, this works out anyway. You both adore culture, the more obscure the better. You love to discover new bands, read novels by controversial authors, gorge yourselves at the jewel of a restaurant tucked into an undiscovered neighborhood. You bond over TV shows and bargain-hunting for treasures (you both have a thrifty streak). No flea market, tag sale or eBay store is safe from your scouring, and your home can resemble a bizarre gallery of antiques and modern gadgetry. The tricky part is when you lapse into astrological auto-pilot. Cancer is the zodiac's mother, who heaps on affection, nurturing and well-intended care. To Gemini, this can feel like clinginess and smothering. Gemini is the zodiac's fickle tween, waffling between bouts of dependence and asserting autonomy. There will be moments when Gemini greedily laps up Cancer's doting, and others when mama bird is roughly pushed away with a sarcastic, heart-piercing insult. Cancer must work hard not to take these moments personally—otherwise, the Crab lashes back with a below-the-belt barb, and it turns ugly. Remember, Crabcake: it's not you that Gemini is rejecting, it's your overprotection. Get a pet to dote on instead. Gemini needs space, Cancer needs reassurance. Memorize this formula.
GEMINI + LEO (JULY 23 - AUGUST 22) ♥♥♥♥ You make great friends, since you both love to gab about everything from the Times to the tabloids, Ferragamo to flea markets. Conversations are fever-pitched and fascinating; you're both well-versed culture hounds. Romantically, the temperature may be tepid, though. Leo is a Fire sign ruled by the blazing Sun—the regal Lion wants to be consumed by passion, heat, devotion, attention. Gemini is an Air sign driven by speedy, information-gathering Mercury. Listening to The Leo Monologues, which span from political diatribes to emotional melodramas, is sheer torture. When Gemini dares to interrupt the King or Queen, suggesting that s/he actually GET TO THE POINT, hell breaks loose. Leo must learn to take Gemini's tough love and unvarnished feedback in stride, not as an ego assault. Unconventional Gem should assent to traditional romantic gestures: red roses, the Tiffany bauble du jour. Learn to adapt. Gemini rules the hands, and will need to put them on affection-hungry Leo more often, since the Lion is greatly reassured by touch. And yes, as an Air sign, Gemini will need to blow a little smoke you-know-where; Leo can be a nightmare without regular doses of praise. Gush and flatter—it won't be the first insincere thing to pass through Gemini's lips. Leo should keep a battery of patient friends on speed dial. Gemini may have multiple personalities, but as a romantic partner, s/he can't be your de facto shrink, psychic hotline, career coach, parent and social director. Spread the demands around.
GEMINI + VIRGO (AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 22) Gemini and Virgo share a common ruler: speedy Mercury, who zips around the Sun gathering light and information, then disseminating it to the masses. You're both natural communicators with a thousand ideas and opinions. Romance is a cerebral affair for your intelligent signs. Conversations spark into lively debates; asking each other "What do you think?" is akin to foreplay. Although Virgo is a more staid Earth sign and Gemini is a breezy Air sign, you share a "mutable" quality. That means you're flexible, and you can adapt to each other's quirks. Good thing, since you each have a bevy of rigid, borderline obsessive-compulsive habits. (Virgo's can include folding underwear into identical, neat little squares; Gemini's usually involve hoarding, starting new hobbies or impulse shopping.) You both love control, though Gemini is loath to admit this, while Virgo flies the flag. At times, you may wrestle for dominance, a habit you'll need to overcome for this match to work. Virgo's nagging can take the wind out of Gemini's sails; Gemini's sketchily researched half-truths set off Virgo's trust alarm. But combine the depth of Virgo's cautious planning with the breadth of Gemini's boundless curiosity, and you've got the total package. You can make great parents, too, since your styles tend to complement and you'll divide up roles with ease. Gemini can help serious Virgo lighten up, and responsible Virgo can help ground the easily distracted Twin.
GEMINI + LIBRA (SEPTEMBER 23 - OCTOBER 22) ♥♥♥♥ You're compatible Air signs with silver tongues and gilded wings, a magical match indeed. Libra is a pretty pixie and Gemini is an impish sprite. Your meeting rouses the fairies and gnomes, stirring up mischief in your midst. You love to mingle and schmooze, and you'll chatter like two little tree monkeys, gabbing a mile a minute. But will the breathless excitement last? Getting past the superficial romance stage is the challenge. You're both so indecisive that nailing down a commitment is like catching moonbeams in a jar. That said, the illusionary quality of your relationship is a magic you both enjoy. It's when life becomes too real that you vanish in a pinch of enchanted dust. To make this last, you'll need to dip your toes into the murky morass of intimacy, then learn to swim. Money can become an issue between you, particularly the way you spend it. Gemini is ruled by intellectual Mercury, and would rather invest in college degrees, a film collection, enriching travel. Libra is governed by beauty and pleasure-loving Venus, and splashes out on art, couture, custom suits, spas. You'll need separate wings for Gemini's books and Libra's handbag or shoe collection. You have different approaches to romance, too. Libra loves a lengthy courtship with all the trimmings, but Gemini bristles at picking up too many tabs, especially with Libra's extravagant taste. You'll probably need to keep separate accounts to avoid meddling in each other's purchase habits. Cut up the credit cards, too—many happy relationships can be destroyed by debt. Don't let that happen to you.
GEMINI + SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23 - NOVEMBER 21) You live on completely different planes, which either turns you off or utterly fascinates you. Both of you are accustomed to reading people like flimsy comic books, then tossing them aside. Here, your X-ray vision fails to penetrate each other's psychic shields. Mutable Gemini is the shape-shifting Twin, home to a traveling cast of personalities. Intense Scorpio is shrouded in mystery and bottomless layers of complexity. Being baffled leaves you without the upper hand, but it also stokes your libido. You're piercingly smart signs who love a good puzzle—this is your romantic Rubik's cube. The challenge sets off sexual dynamite. You tease each other with cat-and-mouse evasions, neither of you making your attraction obvious. This prickles your insecurities, daring you to strive for the other's unbroken gaze. No two signs are as quietly obsessive as yours! There will be frustrating moments, too. You're both prone to depressive spells, and swing from giddiness to unreachable shutdown. Clever mind games edge on cruel or callow, breaking the trust that Scorpio needs. At times, airy Gemini may not be emotional or sensual enough for watery Scorpio; in turn, the Scorpion's emotional and physical passion can be overwhelming to Gemini. However, if you combine your strengths, you'll go far. Gemini is dilettante and a trivia collector who's always got a pocketful of creative ideas. Instinct-driven Scorpio rules details and research—this sign hones in like a laser and masters his chosen field. Whether it's starting a family or running a business, you can be an indefatigable team, with Gemini playing the rowdy ringmaster and Scorpio running the show from behind the scenes.
GEMINI + SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 22 - DECEMBER 21) ♥♥♥♥ You're opposite signs that actually have much more in common than this label suggests. Gemini rules the so-called "lower mind": common sense, reasoning, facts, hard data and intellect. Sagittarius governs the "higher mind": wisdom, philosophy, consciousness, ethics, metaphysics. Together, you find sweet neurological nirvana. You're both restless adventurers who hunger for knowledge and experience. With Gemini's curiosity and Sag's nomadic nature, you get antsy in commitments unless there's a lot of excitement and variety. Boredom is simply not an option for your signs, and you're both involved in a billion projects. Scheduling issues are your biggest hurdle, but for true love, you allow nothing to interfere. Take globe-trotting Sagittarius Brad Pitt and Gemini Angelina Jolie, who traipse the continents with their ever-growing brood. As best friends and playmates, they make their own rules about love and family—and you will, too. Conventional coupling holds zero interest for your signs. Your main difference is in disposition. Air sign Gemini is cooler and distant compared to Sagittarius, harder to read emotionally. The fiery Archer has a hot temper and wears his heart on his sleeve. Still, you make each other laugh; you're both clever, entrepreneurial and quirky. You do best with a common goal that's a thousand times bigger than yourselves, and you'll dream up many. However, you may need Brangelina-sized paychecks to fund your lofty visions. Who has time to consider the bottom line when you're focused on reaching the top? Take time to consider the practicalities before leaping off the cliff. Knowing you, you'll jump anyway.
GEMINI + CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 22 - JANUARY 19) A metaphor for this match: a music producer combines a soulful 1970s classic (Capricorn) with funky electronic hooks (Gemini) and delivers a mashup that's either a mess or a chart-topping hit. You couldn't be any more different if you tried, yet you can really benefit from each other's natural resources. Gemini is ruled by speedy Mercury, the lightning-fast trickster who speaks in silver-tongued half truths. Capricorn's overlord is Saturn, the cautious, conservative planetary patriarch, who only trusts that which stands the test of time. Gemini is versatile and restless, like a fusebox with a million criss-crossed wires. Capricorn is the dutiful ox who carries the yoke and plows the field, rarely diverging from routine. While Capricorn's dogged consistency and family loyalty can frustrate Gemini ("How can you let these people walk all over you?" Gemini asks, referring to Cap's elderly parents), it also grounds the scattered Twins. Gemini is Capricorn's one-man circus, keeping the Goat amused and entertained, adding color to his monochromatic world. You both have a lusty, experimental side, too. The magic really appears when you get physical, which happens fast, since your sexual attraction is intense. In fact, Capricorn is one of the few signs that can spike Gemini's jealousy. There are so many people who rely on sturdy, supportive Cap, and Gemini doesn't like to compete for the spotlight. To make this work, Gemini will have to accept that Capricorn's loyalty extends to family and lifelong friends. Stoic Cap will need to show a little more emotion, since impish Gemini needs to know he can get under Capricorn's skin. It will take time to work out the kinks, but the erotic tet-a-tets will be worth the trouble.
GEMINI + AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20 - FEBRUARY 18) This match of compatible Air signs can feel a bit like high school romance—teasing, texting, movie dates with jumbo popcorn and licentious groping during the previews. You bring out each other's breezy, buoyant spirits, and that's a plus. You'll bond over TV shows, favorite sci-fi novels and superheroes, obscure philosophers, music. With your clever comebacks and verbal repartee, you could take a comedy act on the road. Although you can both be overly cerebral at times, you prefer laughter and light conversation to emotional melodrama. Eventually, though, you need to get out of the shallow end of the pool. Intimacy is a challenge for your signs. We're talking true intimacy—being caught with your pants down and no clue how to get them back up. Telling each other your entire life stories in monologue form (which could have happened on the first date) doesn't count. You must soldier through the post-infatuation "awkward phase," or you'll end up feeling like buddies. That would be a shame, as you can make excellent life partners and playmates. The biggie: you'll both need to give up fibs and lies—particularly lies of omission. You're excellent storytellers and politicos, gifted at crafting a spin to fit your agenda. However, the naked truth is the only way out of the Matrix. Though it may topple your PR-friendly public image, it's a necessary risk you must take to build the character and depth of a lasting commitment.
GEMINI + PISCES (FEBRUARY 19 - MARCH 20) You're both dual signs: Gemini is the Twins, and Pisces is symbolized by two Fish swimming in opposite directions. You're pop psychology's poster children for commitment-phobia. Are you in or are you out? It depends on the day, the mood, the cosmic alignment. Obviously, this is no way to run a relationship—but wait. Here's a golden chance to peer into love's looking glass and see your own shadowy Id mirrored back. Yes, your psyches and hang-ups are as bizarre as Alice's rabbit-hole tumble into Wonderland. Pisces, you really can be as needy, emotionally exhausting and manipulative as Gemini says. Gemini, you are indeed capable of being a double-talking, evasive ice-tyrant with a heart like polished marble. And…so what? If you can actually own your dark sides—which we all have—you're also capable of spreading tremendous light. You must negotiate your differences with transparent honesty, though. Pisces is an emotional Water sign; Gemini is an intellectual Air sign. Unless you balance the proportions, Gemini drowns in Pisces' undertow and the zodiac's Mermaid suffocates from breathing too much oxygen. Gemini must strive to connect emotionally, and Pisces will need to lighten up. Perennial dissatisfaction is also a killer. Don't say you want something, then refuse to be happy when your partner provides it. Gratitude is an intimate act: it requires you to acknowledge that your partner can reach you, a vulnerable place. Two words to save your relationship: "Thank you" and "You're right."

I've been watching Next in Fashion with my mom these past few days. She's a seamstress so she liked this idea of a sewing competition. We just finished ep 4 and started ep 5 cuz we had to know what happened after that cliffhanger ending. I need to say this.
No. I don't like that they essentially ignored the streetwear challenge and began another challenge with 6 teams. I feel that they should have either done a vote (it seemed like it was 3 to 1) or a faceoff between the 2 teams. In my opinion, Farai and Kiki should have been the eliminated team, that was already their 3rd time in the last two. It is annoying and frustrating honestly, but oh well. Just had to get out my personal opinion.
