How Nursery Schools Lay the Foundation for Lifelong Learning
Tumblr media
Nursery schools play a vital role in the early stages of a child’s education. They provide a structured yet nurturing environment where children begin their educational journey. The experiences and skills gained in nursery schools in Indore set the stage for lifelong learning and success. Here’s how these early educational settings make a lasting impact.
Cognitive Development
Early Literacy and Numeracy: Nursery schools introduce children to the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Through engaging activities and playful learning, children develop foundational skills that are essential for academic success in later years, including kindergarten in Indore.
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Activities in nursery schools often include puzzles, games, and hands-on projects that encourage children to think critically and solve problems. These experiences help develop cognitive flexibility and creativity.
Social and Emotional Growth
Building Relationships: Nursery schools provide opportunities for children to interact with peers in a structured setting. This interaction is crucial for developing social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and empathy.
Emotional Regulation: Being in a nursery school environment helps children learn to manage their emotions. They begin to understand and express their feelings appropriately, which is vital for personal development and social interactions.
Physical Development
Fine and Gross Motor Skills: Through activities like drawing, cutting, and playing with building blocks, children enhance their fine motor skills. Additionally, physical activities and outdoor play help develop gross motor skills, such as balance and coordination.
Healthy Habits: Nursery schools often promote healthy habits, including regular physical activity and proper hygiene. These habits contribute to a child’s overall well-being and form a foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
Introduction to Structured Learning
Routine and Discipline: Nursery schools introduce children to a structured routine, which helps them understand the concept of time management and following instructions. This preparation is crucial for a smooth transition to kindergarten in Indore.
Classroom Etiquette: Children learn important classroom behaviors, such as listening, taking turns, and participating in group activities. These skills are essential for success in more formal educational settings.
Encouraging Curiosity and Love for Learning
Exploration and Discovery: Nursery schools create an environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Children are exposed to a variety of subjects and experiences, sparking their interest in the world around them.
Positive Learning Experiences: A positive nursery school experience fosters a love for learning. When children enjoy their early education, they are more likely to be enthusiastic about school and future academic pursuits.
Nursery schools in Indore play a crucial role in laying the foundation for lifelong learning. They support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development while introducing children to structured learning. The skills and experiences gained in nursery school prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten in Indore and beyond. By fostering a love for learning and building essential life skills, nursery schools set children on a path to academic and personal success.

The Importance of Kindergarten in Child Development
A kindergarten school serves as the foundation for a child's formal education, with an education that focuses on a number of fundamental skills. This involves the development of language and literacy abilities such as phonics, reading, and writing, as well as an introduction to fundamental math. Furthermore, the school's syllabus aims to strengthen young children's social and motor skills, as well as their self-esteem and passion of learning.
A curriculum may teach the sense of numbers, addition, subtraction, geometry, measurement, and word problems in arithmetic, letters and sounds, and time concepts in language and literacy. Schools frequently work to establish an interesting and supportive learning environment through activities, play-based learning.
Kindergarten is more than just an introduction to formal education; it is a critical period for shaping a child's future. By providing a balanced approach that combines play, exploration, and structured learning, It lays the groundwork for academic success and personal growth. I can’t stop thinking about Angus with a childhood best friend!reader. (I imagine she would go to a different private school so they could only see each other over the summer and talk through letters and calls)
oh my god this is soooo good! you, my dear anon, have a beautiful mind. 🤍

Tumblr media
you and angus had been best friends since kindergarten, inseparable through hundreds of playdates from the ages of five to fifteen. you two were attached to the hip and anyone could see the bond that blossomed between the two of you. he was everything to you and you were everything to him.
you remember the first day you met, early november and a chilly day on the playground. you were bundled up with a big coat and mittens while poking and prodding at some flowers that were slowly dying—signalling the freezing weather that would arrive at any moment.
"my mom told me those kinds of flowers are weeds." a voice spoke from beside you, a boy your age with wildly, curly hair and big brown eyes. he wasn't looking at you, but at the wilting flower.
"pretty weeds," you murmured as your gaze turned back to the same flower.
"yup," he replied, the two of you kneeling there in silence as the school bell rang. neither of you moved until one of the teachers found you both and ushered you inside—you sat next to each other for the rest of the year; the history of your friendship.
angus was there when you were twelve years old and experienced your first adolescent heartbreak. a boy one year older who had kissed you and told you he loved you; then kissed one of your other so-called friends the same day with the same words. back then it shattered your entire being and angus was there to help you pick up the pieces and put your poor little heart back together until it was beating again.
and whenever he was feeling sad, which happened a lot after his dad was put in a sanitarium, you were there at his house with some popcorn and ready to watch whatever movie would air that evening. sometimes you two would listen to a record and simply exist together—being near each other made him feel better.
hell, he was even there when you got your first period when you were visiting his family. you remember how both of you started screaming when you told him you were bleeding, crying as you convinced yourself you were dying until his mom came to the rescue. she had to explain biology more thoroughly than your health teacher did, which only embarrassed you and made angus start asking a flurry of questions about it. from then on, once a month, he'd be there with whatever you needed; junk food, chocolate, and a hot water bottle.
your lives were so intertwined that you knew every little detail about each other. well, mostly. there was one moment that you kept from him in the vastness of your relationship, how his first kiss made you boil with jealousy.
you pushed that feeling far away and focused on the positives of your friendship as years passed and life slowly felt more and more complicated.
it was in your freshman year of high school when he first started acting out, even when you offered all the support you could muster up. he was kicked out of your school at fifteen, then another in the same year. the following year he almost made it the entire schooling term before he was finally sent off to a private boarding school—completely uprooted from the friendship you two had together.
that was your first real heartbreak.
his too.
angus beat himself up about it during the sleepless nights at barton, devastated that he couldn't even see you on weekends like he used to. knowing that you were in your senior year and he was lagging behind as a junior because of his expulsions. there was a drift happening in your friendship and it was because of him. all because he couldn't keep his emotions in check.
you couldn't blame him and you wouldn't, you made that apparent with the letters you sent him. making sure he never once felt alone in his struggles.

it was these letters that kept him afloat during those days in the week that made him want to give up and run away, or worse, get expelled and sent to fork union. he kept every single letter from you and hid them underneath his mattress. if kountze were to see them that would be the end of it, so he made sure to read them only when everyone was asleep—he always had the best dreams after.

hearing from him always made your stomach flutter and left your heart aching deeply for him. it was melancholic, wishing more than he could be back by your side while trying to be content with a letter from your love... your love?
those feelings had been building up inside you for months—years.
it left you awake at night, wondering if angus felt the same or if you would remain nothing more than friends for the rest of your life. you couldn't be upset with the latter, angus was your best friend and you would never let yourself lose that.
yet, you yearned for him. for the possibility of something more. you dreamt of what it would be like to kiss him, but those thoughts diminished quickly because you felt guilty. you shouldn't have those feelings for a boy who's only your best friend.
a few weeks had passed and you hadn't written a letter back because school was hectic and the gloominess of winter had left you with little energy. you and angus could sometimes go weeks without hearing from each other, but it was never intentional. it wasn't until your first night home during the christmas holidays that you realized you'd never written him back. you had only started scribbling a letter when the phone rang.
"it's angus!" your mother called from the kitchen on the first floor. that's when you remembered the promise he made in your letters. he'd be visiting soon!
"coming!" you called back as you rushed down the stairs so fast your mother had chastised you for nearly running your little brother over. you pressed the phone against your ear, lips curved into a big smile as you caught your breath, "angus, when are yo—"
"i won't be visiting," his voice said quietly, a bit crackly through the phone and deeper than you remembered it being when you last spoke. your brows furrowed together at his words and you were filled with nothing short of confusion and disappointment, hand clutching tight the phone in your hand as your other absently fidgeted with the cord.
"what do you mean? you promised me you would, angus." you said to him, your voice sharper than you meant for it to sound, "is saint kitts really that much more important?"
silence.
"my mom and stanley are going without me," he replied and it was then you could hear in his voice that he was fighting back tears. his heart was broken and you weren't there to pick up the pieces. you filled with dread and guilt for your snappy words, feeling the aching of his heart in your own.
"what?" you questioned, leaning back against the wall and tilting your head up, eyes fixating on the ceiling where you could see a water spot forming from the old piping in your home.
"yeah, they decided now was the fucking time to take their honeymoon. can you believe that? they ditched me and went to saint kitts without me and left me at barton," he said, his voice growing angrier with each passing second, "the worst part is that i didn't care about saint kitts, i just needed to see you," his voice cracked again.
tears pricked at your eyes and your mom, who had been eavesdropping, had decided to let you have privacy in the kitchen as she escorted your brother to the playroom. you sniffled and wiped away the tears with the sleeve of your sweater, shaking your head in disbelief.
"i miss you so much, angus, it physically hurts," you whimpered into the phone and it was then you couldn't help but start crying. the sounds made his heart ache.
"i know, i'm so sorry."
the two of you were only on the phone for a few more minutes because angus had heard one of the other holdovers coming down the hall. you didn't question it, a school full of boys meant that crying around others was asking for a death wish.
when all you could was hear the dial tone, a quiet 'i love you' escaped your lips.
pathetic.
four days passed and tomorrow was christmas eve; you'd never felt so empty in your entire life. you hadn't heard from angus since your last phone call and it was like all joy and happiness had been sucked out of your soul. your mother, who often liked to call you dramatic, didn't dare say a peep.
you had been laying in bed all morning, doing nothing except falling back asleep or staring out your bedroom window and watching a soft flurry of snow falling. you promised yourself to write angus a letter today, but you weren't entirely sure that you would be able to without breaking down and sobbing. your eyes were already puffy from crying yourself to sleep, you couldn't risk them hurting anymore.
"sweetie?" the voice came with a knock on your door. your mother, her voice as sweet as cinnamon. you didn't answer as the door creaked open.
"i'd like for you to come for a drive with me, if that's alright."
"no."
"i'm not leaving until you come with me."
"fine."
you were bundled up in a big coat as you sat in the passenger seat of your mother's station wagon, your forehead pressed against the window as you watched the snowfall. you hadn't really been paying much attention to where you two were going or how long you'd been driving, figuring that sooner or later your mother would pipe up and ask about you. this was always her way of understanding your emotions, it always worked. you always managed to spill your guts to her while in the passenger seat.
"do you love him?" she asked quietly, her eyes flickering toward you.
"what?" you became defensive, sitting upright and glaring daggers at her, "no. i mean yeah. of course i love him he's my best friend. just... nothing more. nothing like that!"
"so you do." she smiled, admiring you as she focused her attention back ahead, fingers gently tapping against the steering wheel as she hummed softly, "i'm taking you to barton."
"what?!" you screeched, your heart pounding hard in your chest, "you're telling me that now? you should've let me get ready! god, he's going to think i'm a mess!" you grumbled as you pulled down the visor and looked into the mirror, trying desperately to make your hair behave and wipe away the tiredness from your eyes.
"he's not going to care what you look like, darling." your mother said with a sigh.
"okay, well i care what i look like!"
"stop being so dramatic."
on the way to barton, your mother told you what she had planned behind your back, she called the school and managed to speak with a lady named miss lamb and explained the situation. according to your mother she sounded very excited that you would be visiting angus—it was likely that he was being just as pouty and sad as you were, if not more.
it made you wonder how lonely he'd been. should you have called more?
your hands were shaking as you pulled up to the school, your entire body nearly vibrating as you stepped out of the car and did one more fix on your hair. you were excited to see him, but why were you nervous? you had never been nervous about seeing him, why was this different?
an older woman who you could only presume was miss lamb greeted you at the main entrance, ushering you in quickly. you sighed softly when the cold air was no longer nipping at your skin, but instead, you were filled with that familiar feeling of nervousness once again.
"i think angus is up in one of the classrooms right now. he's been hiding himself away since he's been here with just me and mr. hunham. the poor boy got left behind here while the other boys were able to go spend the holidays at a ski hill," she said, glancing at you a few times as you followed her, fidgeting with your hands nervously. you hadn't realized until now that your mother had stayed in the foyer. miss lamb spoke up again, disturbing your thoughts, "he mentioned you the other day at dinner. was complaining to us about his situation and how he was supposed to visit his best friend... you know, i expected you to be a boy."
"yeah," you murmur as you ascend a staircase, "people always say that. a girl and a boy could never be just friends."
"mhm, it's hard for people to think that when they know what young love looks like," she hummed, avoiding your piercing gaze as she led you through the halls, "angus!" she called out as you two reached a hallway on the second floor, "where are you?"
"what do you need, mary?" his voice echoed from the last classroom on the right, his voice whiny and pouty.
you hadn’t moved so fast in your life. your legs picked up speed and mary turned the other way, satisfied with what she'd seen so far. she wasn't going to impose on a special moment. this was the happiest she'd felt in a long time, too.
"angus!" you called out as you sprinted ahead, nearly missing the door as you made a full stop under the door frame. you watched him as he turned his gaze, eyes moving from the window he'd been peering out of and over at you. you were blessed with the sight of seeing his big brown eyes soften and how a weight eased on his shoulders. he was gorgeous, the most beautiful man in the world and you weren’t going to leave barton until he knew that.
"what the hell are you doing here?" he asked, blinking a few times, as though he was hallucinating and afraid you weren't real, "christ–get over here."
he met you halfway as you bolted toward him, arms outstretched and wrapping around his waist as you buried your face into his chest. “i missed you so fucking much,” you whimpered, fingers tightening into fists as they gripped the back of his jacket. he smelled nice, like the cheap cologne you bought him last christmas; musk, cedar & notes of vanilla.
his own arms were around your shoulders, his face nuzzling against the top of your head as you two relished in each other’s presence.
it had been months. months that felt like a millennium.
“i missed you too,” he whispered against your hair, arms tightening around you briefly before easing up, “you look so pretty.”
you tilted your head back to look at him, your eyes glossy from the tears that spilled down your cheeks. you had parted your lips to say something back as your cheeks reddened from his compliment, but he didn’t give you the chance—rightly shutting you up with his lips.
it was then you fully understood how much you loved angus tully, less as a friend and more as a partner. a soulmate.
your lips moved together in desperation and need, kissing each other like you were lovers that had been separated for years. one of his hands had moved up to the back of your hair, fingers tangling, while the other gripped at your hip. both of your arms snaked around he neck, pulling him down so you didn’t have to stand on the tips of your toes to meet his lips.
this lasted for awhile, stopping only when you two had ran out of breath and were panting together.
“i love you,” you said first, your forehead pressing against angus’ as you looked deep into his brown eyes, “i’ve loved you for a very long time... too long.”
“me too,” he murmured in returned, the hand that was on your hip now caressing your cheek, his thumb gently grazing over your soft skin, “you’re the only reason it’s lonely here. seriously, i think i’m going mad without you,” he laughed breathily, bumping his nose playfully against yours.
“then i’ll make sure you don’t have to go without me too long,” your voice was soft as you spoke, unable to rid yourself of the big smile that plastered your lips, “maybe we can convince your teacher to let me stay for a night… or maybe you can spend christmas with us.”
“i want to go to boston with you,” he said quick, like he’d been waiting to say it.
you knew exactly what he meant. you knew everything about boston—you knew who was waiting in boston.
“okay,” you murmured, “let’s go to boston.”
you couldn’t promise that it would actually happen, how on earth would a chaperone let their student travel miles away to a city without them? you didn’t care about that right now. all you cared about was making sure that angus knew he had your support. that’s how being best friends worked.
you were there for each other. you were always going to help pick up each other’s pieces.
“kiss me again, angus.”

STAMINA
Within the minds eye, we are transported back to times of innocence, reminiscence, precious memories, that stood as a testament of our observations, remembrance, and eclectic lived experiences. How can a memory hold so much power over our existence and transcend time? Why is it when we are near an end of an cycle, or experience the fullest capacity of our senses, that we are drawn to these recollections of a period that can not be changed but has changed us forever?. One often reverts back to a time of innocence when life’s experiences have become too burdensome to endure, an escape for a moment of time when we were not unencumbered with set values, precedence, or ways of being. We could just exist within the moment, without expectation, with no preconceived notions, and live our truth without fear of failure or the unknown. It is to be said that one remains between the two dichotomies of joy and despair, the moment of pure innocence where the experience propels you forward with positive expectations and perhaps despair might emerge when one’s expectations are within the realm of absence of hope for a positive outcome. A moment, a fragment of time, can change a circumstance, what may appear to be a tiny fragment, can morph into a mosaic, and as the saying goes “Inside every acorn is an oak tree ready to come forth.”
Within my early childhood years, I was blessed with a friend from junior kindergarten till grade six who mirrored my soul. He and I both experienced profound loss within our families, were labelled as the other, and our trajectories were viewed as abnormal because we were raised by strong matriarchs. It was a period of non-acceptance, judgment, ridicule, and shame to not have emerged from a normative family unit. Those were unfortunately the times of the past, and most certainly would not have been tolerated within society today. At such a young age due to his Father’s abuse and aggressive reckless lifestyle, this little boy was often left abandoned, despondent and hopeless that life would never offer him a fair hand. He was a child that possessed a great heart, courageous in all his pursuits, fiercely loyal to his family and those he cherished, and above all sought friendships that could withstand the test of time, with one requirement, loyalty. He and I often shared lunches, worked on common assignments together, always paired together in class, debated what life should entail, had a passionate affinity for good food, and both perceived the world as secure however, were cautious of an unknown hit from any direction. We collectively learned the value of true friendship, recognized that the actions of others did not reflect our nature but the nature of others, and had a firm comprehension that family can be found in many different forms i.e. Friendship, partnerships, mentorships, and guardianship. We are not defined by the actions of the past, however, we can always partake in decisions that enable and foster growth, peace, and unity. No matter what the terrain, one must move forward and progress to new levels. Before I delve into the article, I want to make an honourable mention of his Mother as she raised me as her own, and continuously inspired me through her strength as an entrepreneur, societal leader and philanthropist, and a woman with a kind and loving heart. Till this day, through her guidance, lessons, and advice, she is and will always be, an instrumental matriarch within my life, that taught me you can encompass great strength with kindness in all endeavours, and to always remain positive amidst turbulence. She was supportive when my Aunt and Grandmother formally adopted me, and always stated, a family is based on those that are present, loyal, and consistent. Her gnocchi got me through some difficult periods of my life, and among others enabled me to restore my faith back in the divine feminine and masculine, as she encompassed both masculine and feminine traits. One of the stories we always remember is when her son and I were determined to win two cakes at a bake sale. Unfortunately, her son started running with both of our cakes, even though I won one of them, which resulted in us having our epic cake war in the hallway, both of us were covered head to toe in cake, or as some would call “a deal gone bad,” as we both promised that if one was to receive the desired cake that the other wanted, we had to pass it over, however, children will be children. It was one of the best memories of my childhood because it was a period of play, childhood pranks, and pure presence that all that mattered was the moment, rather than the mess. Our truce was the moment we both fell and started to just engage in innocence, the mess was epic. What is the point of cake without a story? The cake solidified our allegiance for years to come.
Our elementary school was very privileged, vast extracurricular activities, placed high importance on socialization and the arts, resourceful, technologically proficient for its time, modern facilities, and support services for students who required extra attention such as tutoring, ESL, or to foster continued growth. Words can not express how many occasions we would travel to science centres, museums, performances, engage in gardening on school grounds or abroad, or take daily trips to learn manufacturing processes, or to enjoy a day by the lake or the zoo. Many children that were enrolled came from affluent families where it was expected to fit into a certain role of a nuclear family model, and most importantly not be different. At this period of time, our Catholic school had a supposed wonderful illusionary reputation however, within the walls, it was torture, and felt often like a prison. Unfortunately our grade was very disorderly, disorganized, and the children required boundaries within all aspects of their childhood, however, the teachers sought to divide and conquer. Our Catholic school system was very regimented, and if you did not follow the code, you were disciplined, ostracized, or punished. As you could imagine, one had to have a survival mentality to endure many years at this school, and even present day, I know many adults that have undergone intense therapy after what they had experienced (Out of respect for their privacy, I will not be mentioning their torment that they suffered). Regularly, it was normal for parents to immediately pull out their students due to teachers engaging in unwanted aggression on their students, or the failure to educate because it interrupted or interfered with socialization, travel, or philanthropic efforts. Without spiraling into the atrocities, I will lightly state, bullying was encouraged, and those that pushed back or fought against being ostracized, isolated, or shamed for whatever illusionary reason were seen as troublemakers who did not “turn the other cheek.” Once you were defined as not fitting within the norms of this school, you developed a reputation as “thinking differently,” and were never given a chance. Our grade in particular switched allegiances often, and at that period of time, the victims were blamed while the perpetrators were ignored. On many occasions, I witnessed, many classmates verbally and physically assaulting one another, and one had to ask, “Where did this stem from?.” The school was dysfunctional in a myriad of ways, and till this day, it still remains, but has now a reputation of torture, deceit, and often many claim the land is insidious as many children endure the same internal pain, experiences, and the cycle continues. Spiritually speaking, it requires more than a good sage. Beyond the experiences, as a child, one always remains hopeful, resilient, persistent, and perseveres despite the obstacles until it becomes enough.
Throughout my early elementary experience, I was the target of unwanted intentional harassment, bullying, routine torture at the emotional and psychological level, and abused. In Grade Six, the abuse reached its peak as many students were aware that I was claustrophobic however, felt it was necessary to teach me a lesson of their dominance, as I did not conform to their tactics or surrender, so a group of my classmates decided to lock me in a portable during recess. At this period of time you could somehow lock the doors from within so that if a key was used, it would not open properly, so the more I attempted to open the door, the worst the situation was. The situation was humorous for the bullies, however, inside the confines of the portable, I was fearful what was to occur next. I could not breathe. This was my defining moment of where I recognized the cycle was becoming out of control. I paged the main office, and requested that a custodian come to help me in my time of need however, the office felt it was a prank so they did not take the request seriously. As time passed, I could feel that I was not going to be let out. Divinely sent, our main custodian was returning from his lunch break, recognized that there was a disturbance at the portables, and rushed to stop what was transpiring. Within 10 minutes, he was able to physically remove the students from the stairs leading up to the portable on one side, smashed the window as he was not able to open the door, crawled through the window, opened the door once he was inside as he understood the portable locks, and was concerned, as he found me near the chalkboard not able to breathe, and escorted me to the principals office to report what occurred. As I walked past students that I grew up with since infancy, it was like I did not recognize who they had become. The principal wanted to press charges on the students as the custodian found matches, however, one could never know their true intention of what they had planned for that day or for another. My last memories of that event were students being called to the office, it was a long list, and their parents when they had to confront my Mother could not even look at her in the eye due to the shame their children placed on their family name. The principal wanted to press charges, however, they were considered minors, and told that they would have to enrol in educational courses to mitigate future disobedience or abuse to another student. Suffice it to say, it was a bittersweet day of emancipation, I felt that I had no worth or value, and thankfully as a child I was able to overcome that experience. As a response, my Mother immediately pulled me out of the school, and enrolled me in another school which did not tolerate any forms of abuse or negative behaviour, and placed high importance on scholastic achievement, and within the span of two years, it shaped me into the strong woman I am today. Recovery from bullying does not occur immediately, but with incremental persistence on placing more faith in your future rather than remaining in your past, you are able to move forward with confidence, love, and acceptance for all. Our life experiences do not have to define us, and we do not have to allow a recycled outdated cycle dominate our life. Many of you are wondering, what happened to those children in their early teens or adult years? The answer: Many changed their ways however, a few assaulted students within their high school years, which led to them being charged, and relocated to a school that focused on youth that required interdisciplinary teams of mental health professionals who collaborated to create treatments for those that caused harm to others within the ages of twelve to eighteen.
We all have choices within life, and the cycle of abuse will persist if we do not foster an anti-bullying policy within all facets of society. We cannot walk the journey for others, but we can place high importance on how we respond and react to situations that are within our realm of control. What we resist persists, and if what we resist is change, the universe will enable opportunities for change to occur. We do not have to endure suffering, torment, ridicule, or any form of abuse, it is not our destiny or purpose to be submerged in an environment that is not nurturing, safe, or supportive. Once you learn your boundaries, your tolerance level, and what you allow or accept, you then will gain the self-confidence to move towards environments that foster peace, love, and acceptance for all. Change begins with you at all periods of time.
Please note, beyond my experience during elementary school, I support all Catholic and Christian educational institutions that promote the love of God, forgiveness, and that foster and enable strong communities that promote family, friendship, peace, and coexistence. My situation was unfortunately an anomaly, a cautionary tale of how bullying can spiral out of control when the perpetrator does not receive their desired reaction. My experience could have occurred at any other location (public, private, or another religious school) however, dependant on the actors, motives, or what was being accepted or adopted as misguided truth meaning enabling bullying to foster at an unprecedented rate is a false representation of what true Catholicism and Christianity stand for. We can not blame a religion for what teachers, or parents were enabling within their students or children — we have no way of knowing what occurs behind closed doors or what was instructed during that period of time, many school subscribed to different ideologies or norms of treatment, what many adopt as “normative behaviour,” might be classified as abuse by others. We have to remain mindful of what children, teenagers, and adults are learning, adopting, accepting because education is the beacon of hope to promote peace, unity, and prosperity.
Bullying, whether it is in the form of physical, mental, emotional, or psychological assault or abuse, is aggressive unwanted behaviour that is intentional that is acted out by a perpetrator upon a victim that they want to control, destroy, or dismantle. When another causes internal or external pain, injury, makes one question their life or if their life holds value to remain in, causes discomfort, or becomes burdensome, it becomes an act of repetitive unwanted assault that demonstrates an imbalance of power, control, and the erosion of a secure and safe environment. Bullying can occur either through personal interactions on a daily basis within public or the private confines of one’s home, or can be demonstrated through online harassment or unwanted attention.
Throughout my existence I have been an anti-bullying advocate, and have learned through anti-bullying education and coalitions, methods and techniques, to help others who have or are enduring repetitive unwanted contact or abuse. One of the best programs that I became enrolled in, and eventually became a volunteer, was a program called Kids-4-Kids, which established a safe, neutral and nurturing environment which fostered a community effort to reeducate, rehabilitate, and restore faith within those that have experienced severe bullying by either a child, teenager, adult, or stranger. It enabled children and young adults to share their lessons, experiences, and wisdom with others without judgment. No matter what the circumstance you might have encountered, it is imperative that one never becomes despondent within life, because once you recognize that you can not heal within environments that caused you to become a different version of yourself meaning shamed, demoralized, disillusioned, or has taken your cortisol on a roller coaster ride through primal fear, one has to recognize that when you do not feel secure, it is not in alignment for you. You become the target of their projection, and many often sugar coat the experience as “not that bad,” or “kids will be kids,” to dismantle any criticism one might have about how the victim was not helped in their critical time of need. What must be examined is, what is at the core root of perpetrators for their consistent need to dominate, control, gaslight, or destabilize their victim. One must ask, is it a genetic trait? Learned patterned behaviour? Survival mindset? Wolf mentality of hunting the prey or as they say “feed them to the wolves,” or is a psychological disconnect or no social awareness of their actions? Or could it possibly be no consequence for their actions? The need for stronger boundaries? Without judgement, blame, or a place of anger, if we do not have a reformation within the educational system to not enable this type of dishonourable conduct, it will proceed into their adulthood, and their victims will live a life questioning, “What more they could have done to curtail the situation.” Imbalance of power, manipulation, corruption, repetitive abuse at any level should not be tolerated.
Within schools, the most effective form of education for the anti-bulling effort is often many officers will volunteer or dedicate their time to attend classrooms to speak about positive behaviour psychology, which encourages and enables group awareness and efforts, and provides lived experience feedback and shared stories for students at their level of comprehension. Why is this important? It is the foundational education which teaches the youth that there are better methods to deal with your anger, to become mindful and aware of your actions, to recognized that you can not be reactionary and lash out at another, or most importantly, not set into motion intentional harm on another. No matter what the source or core root of bullying may be, prevention is more effective than reacting once a situation has hit its limit. To every parent, guardian, sibling, friend, teacher, mentor, or stranger that promotes peace, I thank you for your service and dedication for ensuring a safer community and environments. No amount of physical force will ever result in a positive outcome, and when we learn more effective techniques to help the future generations, we foster collaboration, integration of new methodologies, and engage in more empathetic and compassionate approaches for the victims involved. When we refrain or disengage from situations which cause our existence turmoil, we take back our power, sovereignty, and value our inner peace. Foster and nurture alliances and allegiances with those that enable you to become the best version of yourself, that promote coexistence, tolerance, and support your recovery, purpose, and vision at every interval.
Placing more emphasis on peaceful coexistence enables one to honour different opinions, ideologies, beliefs, perspectives, with a responsibility, agreement, and commitment for mutual respect, integrity, and equality. When we engage in growth mindset, with mindfulness that we may not recognize and see beyond the periphery, we remove the veneer of acceptance for causing pain, and place more emphasis on recovery, rehabilitation, and a renewed sense of purpose and worth. To encourage pacifism rather than aggression enables both parties to reach peaceful resolutions, evaluate the sequence of events, and refrain from belligerent or irrational responses. Within time, and it will require collective effort, we can reach a state of peace when we as a collective recognize the signs of disunity, hate, and abuse. There is no justification for hurting or harming another, and when we engage in resolution we seek solutions rather than judgement. For instance, if a perpetrator has only experienced turmoil, warfare mindset, destruction, and devastation, they will seek no solution for peace because they are within the realm of survival mindset, however, on the other spectrum, if they encounter one that looks to seek the core root, it then changes the frequency to mitigate rather than punish. At periods of time, all that a situation requires is education where a response can demonstrate where another went wrong to rectify it, so that it will not occur again. Only through discipline, in the most rational manner, do we acknowledge how our actions impact another, which may result in consequences. Please note, trauma impacts another on a profound level beyond the experience, and if not treated can cause an individual to sequester from life, lose hope, or even worse, close themselves off from unconditional love and acceptance. Our words, actions, thoughts, and movements can never be recoiled or reversed. At every interval of life, remain vigilant and mindful of your actions, to enable a positive future for generations to come. Sympathy, respect, empathy, and compassion are not signs of weakness, they represent strength, and they emerge from a high intelligent state of awareness, with an inner knowing that peace is not without disturbance but the ability to rise above it.

Nearing the end of the first game. Let's see. Who haven't I talked about?
I guess now's a good time to talk about Mukuro Ikusaba.
Mukuro Ikusaba. The 16th student, lying hidden somewhere in this school. The one they call the Ultimate Despair. Watch out for her.
Despite how little time we got with her, Mukuro was my favorite character in Danganronpa 1. She's the character I was actually vibing with when I thought I was vibing with Junko. And I still adore Junko in that "She's great and awesome and hilarious, I hope they beat her to death with bricks," sort of way. Very good villain, top marks.
But I also still adore Mukuro too. Mukuro has a wealth of personality and conflict and story tied up in that itsy-bitsy span of time we actually get to spend with her. Every character has some kind of hidden depths that come out as you talk to them, and Mukuro's blew me away.
When I think of Mukuro, I think of this:
"Dreams are meant to change as you grow up, right? Depending on where you're at—kindergarten, elementary school, junior high, high school... But I've had the same dream since I was a little kid, and I've been rushing toward it ever since. So I've never really had to think all that hard about my dreams.
But if it doesn't change, your possibilities can't grow, right? That's how new opportunities are born. And up until now, I never did that. I never let my dreams grow. All I saw was that one dream. I put everything I had into that one narrow little world. I feel like there's so much more I could be doing that I'm not, and I don't like that feeling. So I think I'm going to start looking for it.
Is it childish of me to think like that? Am I just being a baby?"
This, I'm tapping my finger, THIS is Mukuro Ikusaba. The 16th student lying hidden-- This is who she is in her heart of hearts, laid bare and exposed. She's talking in vagueries to avoid revealing herself, but she's very clearly talking about Ultimate Despair and expressing her feelings on the plan that she and her sister are carrying out.
She's standing here in Junko guise, in the middle of the Killing Game, wondering aloud if this is all kinda stupid and maybe she could be doing something better with her life. She and Junko planned this for years and now that it's here, she feels unsatisfied. Stagnant.
This turmoil boiling inside of Mukuro is the most fascinating piece of background information we ever get about any character through Free-Time Events. It's a genuine tragedy that Junko gets her before she can fully process it, strangling what could have been the most complex and interesting character dynamic in its crib.
And it's a further tragedy what future entries into the Danganronpa series did to this character, ripping out every last interesting thing about her and reducing her Junko's weird twincest pet. Gross.
Except you, Danganronpa IF. You're pretty cool.

Wake me up when July is around
Chapter 22/? Half in hate
Billy is listening to Scorpions "No-one like you" (1982) and Ratt "I'm insane" (1984)
***
Ugh, fuck this cow-turd town, fuck
Every! fucking! thing!
FUCK !!
..
So yeah .. the news. Billy gets rejected in all three California universities he applied to - Los Angeles, Berkley and
San Diego.
The fucking irony. It's like the state he was born in, doesn't want him anymore, the city he's lived all his life in, takes revenge in him for leaving.
Like it was Billy's fault.
Goddammit.
God-fucking-dammit!
There goes the dream. Grease monkey, that's all you're gonna be, Billy.
And, that's fine. He likes grease. It just sucks to hear a no. Three of them, in a row.
Of course, the places he was striving for are all super-top-notch-level. Like he said, the high GPA, impressive SAT results that he got in his junior year - Billy had it all, but he lacked fucking recommendations and the stuff he couldn't really scrape here, in a new town, new school, as early as autumn.
Thanks dad, for making me change schools in my fucking senior year, really like .. I appreciate the hell out of it.
Fuck this shit. Billy is sitting in the camaro, waiting for Maxine, smoking and listening to nothing. He got the news from Berkley on Monday morning, right after the party, and from San Diego - in today's mail, bright and early, and all day he's been suppressing fucking tears. Feels unfair, somehow, his state turning him down like that.
Jesus, what kind of kindergarten snot is that, Billy?
Everything is the way it is, in life.
To each its own.
For him it'll be a job in San Diego when he gets there. Maybe he'll reapply next year, maybe he'll aim not at such prestigious places, he'll need to think of a plan, get his full focus on it. Everything now has kinda lost its clarity
Since he's been uprooted and torn away from his ground.
He needs to get back to himself. Needs to stand steady on his feet again.
Billy sees Harrington walking towards the beamer, his girl's already waiting for him near the car. He's putting his peachy ass on its wing, takes out a Parliament, lights it.
He looks so hot taking a drag, hollowing his cheeks, cupping his hands to shield the flame of the lighter from the wind. Steve's wearing a dark gray light jacket, and the colour becomes him.
The nose looks a bit bashed in huh, well .. doesn't make him less pretty. He's still
The prettiest.
Fuck, stop it, dumbass, avert
Avert the stupid unruly eyes. Don't let them run wild.
But I haven't taken even a peek at him all day .. three days.
Is Harrington going to bring Tammy to her house, and they are going to kiss in the beamer, and then say bye for the rest of the day? Or are they driving some place else? To the king's castle?
The rich boy does fuck all. No need to have a job, studying isn't his forte .. the hell he does with all the time on his hands?
Fucks around, that's what he does.
For Steve, life must be so easy. To each their own. For Harrington it means daddy's money, probably a cushy job in his big important business. Very possibly, a trust fund. His life is taken care of. Billy's never liked rich kids. Fucking entitled, believing they are better than everyone else. Too clean, too uninteresting.
University of Chicago accepted him and - guess what, the fucking Purdue - Billy doesn't even like the sound of the name - waitlisted him. Yeah, fuck you and your waitlist which nobody cares for. He's not gonna go to either of these places. Billy needs to get to the coast, away from here, this Mid-fuck-western state.
He craves warmth, he craves air, it's an absolute SOS situation for salty water to wash his wounds.
Max waves good bye to her friends, but comes to the car with the bunker girl.
"Billy, Jane is coming home with me. She's staying for the rest of the day. We're having a sleepover, actually. You're bringing us both to school tomorrow morning."
Bossy much?
Like fuck I care.
"Hi, Billy."
That Jane girl always looks at him like he owes her a thousand bucks. She's an odd bird.
Don't talk to the driver. Get in and let's go already.
Billy grips the steering wheel, and the knuckles on the hand he'd smashed a car window at the junkyard with, hurt.
The girls jump in the backseat and start chirping excitedly.
Billy gets going, but doesn't even turn the music on to wipe out the cheerful noise. He's lost in thoughts.
He's still thinking about Harrington. He's trying not to, but he can't control it. You can't throw someone out of your head completely in a matter of days. The only thing that he succeeds in is
At school, Billy doesn't let himself look at Steve. Okay, today in the parking lot he slipped a little, but in classrooms, in the hallways he doesn't. This week there aren't any basketball practices, which is very convenient, coach Nelson is on a sick leave or something.
Billy looks at everything and everyone BUT Harrington.
The
I'm not a cocksucker
Still burns.
Sometimes he can feel something hot scraping all over his back
And he knows
That's the asshole's stare.
Fuck him.
Billy needs to get the fuck away from here, this place is like quicksand
Sucking him in.
It's trying to tie him down, make him stay. Why did he even send the fucking applications to the nearby universities here if he was never planning on going there? Hargrove doesn't know. He doesn't always make the best and most rational decisions.
Quicksand. Step back, get away, a-fucking-sap.
School still has to be graduated from.
***
Alright, one thing here has become bearable. April in Indiana truly marks the irreversible arrival of spring. The bitter cold that lasted through the winter and still showed its frosty face in March is now mostly a cursed memory.
Hargrove's outside. It's close to midnight, and he's slowly walking down Cherry Lane, a cigarette between the fingers. April is starting to feel really fucking nice. Cool still, but nice. Soon everything's gonna bloom and hustle. The sun shines every day now. Rains pour. The sky, with or without clouds, is marvelous and gives hope.
Billy's taking advantage of warm nights. He sometimes leaves the house when everyone is already sleeping - either walks out of the door when he is sure he won't disturb anyone, or climbs out of his window - ground floor, easy as pie.
It's dark, windless and serene, and Hargrove just needs to clear his mind. Street lights are flickering slightly, and it's misty, the night air is damp and thick, especially after the recent evening rain, with a promise of fragrance of blossoming flowers soon.
Billy's watching his boots step heavy on the wet gray asphalt. Right, left, right, left. He's not gonna let Harrington do it to him. He's not gonna fall for this rich fucking asshole.
Like,
F
A
L
L
for real.
They've fooled around, Billy got knocked down a notch from his wuthering high, enough. Did he seriously think that Steve's on the same wavelength as him?
It's ridiculous.
Hargrove's following the movements of his knees. Right, left, right, left. He likes the way his solid thighs sway. Billy needs to get his shit together. Feed the anger. Stay in the right lane. Double bag his dick, it's always been a rule with girls. In the case in question, extra precautions seem necessary. Triple bag his heart. He just needs to hold out for three fucking months, and then he's on the road, driving west. Southwest.
Billy's nurturing his fury, replaying in his mind over and over again
Steve's voice, Steve's raised eyebrows. The word, the phrase, the meaning of it
I'm better than you
The fury grows, bursts in acrid flames,
Lets him think for a moment that he can be in charge.
Billy tightens his fist, and the knuckles hurt again. Good.
He turns around and slowly walks back to his car. He didn't park it in the driveway, he usually leaves it at a distance from their house now.
Hargrove gets in, turns the music on, makes the volume down. Lights up a cigarette and savours a long looong drag. Watches the smoke drift around and up in the dark sky, listening to Scorpions' "Rock you like a hurricane." Shit, isn't that the song that was on when he first set his foot in the Hawkins High parking lot?
It is.
Billy remembers the moment, how jittery he felt, how miserable, the whole move still making FUCK sense to him. That was the first time he ever laid eyes on King Steve.
It was in September. Now the school year is almost finished.
Girl, it’s been a long time that we’ve been apart
Much too long for a man who needs love
What in fucking hell ..?
Billy wants to turn the song off but then changes his mind.
There’s no one like you
I can’t wait for the nights with you
I imagine the things we’ll do
I just want to be loved by you
No one like you
Other thoughts come to mind. Billy puts his head on the headrest, shuts the eyes and remembers their kisses, all of them. Remembers how they held each other's bodies, the absolute, utter frenzy. Why has he never felt anything like that before, what is the secret, what is the fucking sorcery.
The fury, well-fed and groomed, is still present but it steps away a little, letting sadness and .. something like yearning? .. seep through the tiniest cracks.
Girl, there are really no words strong enough
To describe all my longing for love
I can't wait for the nights with you
I imagine the things we'll do
There's no one like you
No-one like you
Remembers the first and only blowjob, and how strange and amazing it felt. He would do it again. He wants to. Kiss and touch Steve again. All of him. Starting from the pinkie toe and going up to the guy's mane of hair.
It's not gonna happen.
When Billy's finally done with his midnight brooding, and gets home, slips under the coolness of bedsheets and drifts off to sleep, he sees a very vivid dream.
He's amidst the ocean, clear warm dark waters all around, light waves rocking him softly,
Lovingly.
It's dark because it's night time.
He sees a beautiful light purple jellyfish, swimming in the near
It looks otherworldly, gently propelling its umbrella-shaped body through the water. The jellyfish glows in the dark, and, naturally, Billy wants to touch it. He is aware that these creatures can be dangerous, the tentacles are covered in millions of stinging cells, holding venom that can be very painful, even deadly.
Billy is extending his left hand, and the jellyfish touches him gently. It is the prettiest one in the whole wide ocean.
Hargrove keeps playing with it and notices that the tentacles start growing longer, the body is stretching itself, and the colour changes from purple to transparent and then light blue.
It is still glowing, and it's by far the most beautiful thing Billy has ever encountered.
Suddenly the tentacles are grasping his hand tighter, and they claw their way up Billy's arm,
Despite the intensity - or because of it - it's still such a pleasant sensation, he lets the jellyfish twine itself all over his limb,
When immediate piercing pain shoots through his body and the skin on his arm starts burning
The pain stings viciously, Billy is trying to set himself free from the tentacles
In mad realisation that he might actually die right now. It's like something is drilling holes through his veins, going for
The heart.
The jellyfish loosens its hold, caressing the boy, soothing the burn.
Billy understands that he must swim ashore, get some kind of medical help
However, he doesn't distance himself from the stunning ocean creature, against all reason, against the sense of self-preservation.
He doesn't swim away but stays close, gazing, admiring the beauty
Mesmerized.
Blood bringing venom to his core.

Skeleton Children
There are currently six babybones hanging around in The Best of All Timelines, with a seventh one on the way. All the kiddos have fonts but we didn't use their entire font name for their names. (Covered By Your Grace Gaster is just a little bit of a mouthful...)
The kids are:
Randy Bistroke Gaster (@pureangleda and Blue) -- 5 years old
Cherry Swash Gaster (@pureangleda and Blue) -- 2 years old
Someday Joy Gaster (mine with Sweets) -- 4 years old
Grace Optima Gaster (mine with Sweets) -- 2 years old (twin)
Gideon Roman Gaster (mine with Sweets) -- 2 years old (twin)
Poppy Osseus (Boss and Trashy) -- 2 years old
More details under the cut about all these cuties!
Feel free to send asks for the kiddos! I'd love to write more about them! They're so cute!!!!
Blue and Ray (@pureangleda) have two kids: Randy Bistroke and Cherry Swash.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Randy Bistroke Gaster is 5 years old. He just had his Pokemon birthday party back in December. He's in kindergarten (or maybe junior kindergarten based on his age). Randy has a round skull similar to his dad's and big blue eyelights. He's got his mom's curly brown hair, which he doesn't like having cut. (It's getting a little floppy lately.)
He loves Pokemon and generally anything that lets him run around and pretend he's great at battles like Dad and some of his uncles. He also loves to give hugs. His standard greeting is a big hug and "I'm Randy! I love you!" even to people he hasn't met. (His parents are working with him on that.) Right now Randy wants to be a Pokemon trainer when he grows up. Or a detective like Uncle G. He's not sure yet. He adores his baby sister Cherry. She's the best baby sister in the world!
Cherry Swash Gaster is 2 years old and the oldest of the Two Crew. She loves to move and recently started a baby ballet/gymnastics class to help her get all her energy out. She's also moving out of a "No Clothes!" phase. (That was partially solved by getting her ballerina outfits, but now the girl is a glitter bomb...) She tries very hard to keep up with her big brother and her older cousin Someday, but she's also besties with her twin and her cousin Poppy. She is absolutely fearless, something which causes Ray near heart attacks almost daily.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sweets and I (Anne) have three kids: Someday, and our twins Grace and Gideon.
Someday Joy Gaster — My little sunshine girl. Sometimes we call her Sundae instead of Someday because Randy couldn't say her name right when she came along. She's full of joy and has a big, beautiful smile like her daddy's (but, Sweets notes, without the need for orthodontia). She's a little blondie right now but that might change as she gets older. (My hair did.) She likes to have her hair in pigtails or braids. She wears glasses (currently pink ones). Her favorite phrase is "Me too!" She's jealous that Randy gets to be in big kid school when she's still in pre-k but she loves her teachers.
(Covered By Your) Grace Optima Gaster — Twins with Gideon. They're the youngest of the Two Crew. Gracie is my wild, headstrong girl. She looks a lot like her Uncle Sansy. She's got just enough brown hair for a couple of little floofer pigtails, and very expressive golden eyelights. Her favorite phrase is "Not fair!" Out of the twins, Grace is the chatty one. She never has an unexpressed thought and her vocab is impressive for a two year old! (Don't ask which uncle taught her some of those words. No one has confessed.) She adores her twin but will often run ahead of him and then remember and run back.
Gideon Roman Gaster — My sweet serious boy. He was born a few minutes after Grace and is much quieter than her. (There are trees quieter than Gracie, but that's beside the point.) Gideon looks a lot like his daddy with about the same amount of brown hair as his twin. He's got deep blue eyes. Gideon is very shy and tends to look pretty solemn. He's definitely a little bit of a mama's boy right now, which is absolutely fine by me. While his sisters are running around, Gideon likes to go at his own pace and observe everything. He also loves to be read to. If there is a grownup with an unoccupied lap, Gideon will wander over with a book and ask, "Read?" No one can resist those big eyes!
Tumblr media
Boss and Trashy have one daughter, Poppy, and one baby on the way.
Poppy Osseus is our final member of the Two Crew, but she was actually the second one born. She is already proving to be a spunky, energetic little thing and she absolutely loves the outdoors. She would spend every moment of her life outside if she could. Poppy alternates between insisting on pretty princess dresses (especially if she can wear her fairy wings with them) and overalls with "cool shirt". (The current "cool shirt" has a black cat under a mushroom and has been deemed the "Doofmanger" shirt.) She has a cute little curly brown pixie cut at the moment and insists on accessorizing with bows and barrettes and hats. (Sometimes all at once.) Whatever she's wearing, it better have pockets, because Poppy will put every rock, flower, bug, cool bit of moss, or mudball she can find into her pockets. She likes to share her collection. More than one uncle has been shocked to hear "Lookit!" and be handed a roly poly bug/caterpillar/dandelion. When she's not outside, Poppy hosts very fancy tea parties with Daddy. Boss keeps a picture of the two of them looking very fancy on his desk at work.

Choosing the Right Kids Play School: What Every Parent Needs to Know

Selecting the right kids play school is a crucial decision that can significantly impact your child’s early development. A high-quality play school provides a foundation for future learning and socialization. Here’s what every parent should consider when choosing the ideal kids play school in Indore and preparing for kindergarten in Indore.
Assessing the Curriculum
Balanced Approach: Look for a kids play school in Indore that offers a balanced curriculum focusing on both academic basics and creative play. The curriculum should incorporate early literacy, numeracy, and social skills while encouraging creativity and physical activity.
Age-Appropriate Learning: Ensure that the curriculum is tailored to the developmental stage of your child. Activities should be engaging and suitable for their age to foster a love for learning.
Evaluating the Learning Environment
Safe and Stimulating Space: The play school environment should be safe, clean, and stimulating. Look for bright, welcoming classrooms with age-appropriate toys and materials that encourage exploration and creativity.
Outdoor Play Areas: Check if the school has access to outdoor play areas. Outdoor play is essential for physical development and offers opportunities for social interaction and exploration.
Teacher Qualifications and Staff
Experienced Educators: Research the qualifications and experience of the teaching staff. Qualified and experienced educators are crucial for providing quality early childhood education and creating a supportive learning environment.
Teacher-to-Student Ratio: A low teacher-to-student ratio ensures that each child receives adequate attention and support. Smaller class sizes allow teachers to address individual needs and foster a more personalized learning experience.
Parental Involvement and Communication
Open Communication: Choose a kids play school that maintains open lines of communication with parents. Regular updates on your child’s progress and opportunities for parent-teacher interactions are important for staying informed and involved.
Parental Engagement: Look for schools that encourage parental involvement through events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities. Active parental engagement supports your child’s development and enhances their educational experience.
Preparation for Future Education
Transition to Kindergarten: A good kids play school should prepare your child for the transition to kindergarten in Indore. The play school should focus on building foundational skills that will ease the transition to a more structured educational setting.
Social and Emotional Readiness: The play school should help develop your child’s social and emotional skills, such as cooperation, empathy, and self-regulation, which are crucial for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Choosing the right kids play school in Indore involves evaluating the curriculum, learning environment, staff qualifications, and opportunities for parental involvement. By considering these factors, you can ensure that your child receives a strong foundation for their future education and smooth transition to kindergarten in Indore. Make an informed choice to set your child on the path to success and a positive early learning experience.

First of Summer
Niki x OC | Oneshot | Highschool AU | Oneshot
Tumblr media
The first day of summer, the first day of our story...
-Niki's POV-
Today marks the last day of junior year and I’m all set for summer, nothing specific is planned though, just enrolled in some review classes for the upcoming college ability test this November.
For tonight though, it’s the dreaded junior-senior prom. As per the school’s tradition, this is like a send-off for the seniors while welcoming the juniors into semi-adulthood.
I, myself, don’t like these social functions—even my friends are all going with their respective dates. I didn’t ask anyone though; it wasn’t deemed necessary. I’m just going since this is the last time I’ll see my favorite seniors, especially Heeseung hyung.
Heeseung hyung took care of me since freshman year—when I first joined the dance club. He also introduced me to his friends who were part of it, and that made it easier for me. Although, I think, being part of that caused a rift between me and his sister, Lee Serin.
Serin has been my best friend growing up—we were basically friends since kindergarten. I didn’t know what happened, but I’m guessing that it’s because we had different interests, we just drifted apart.
The chats in the hallway were reduced to nods until it came to a point that we were completely ignoring each other.
She became popular, and probably her head ballooned with it. She’s untouchable, especially when her brother is the ever-so-famous Lee Heeseung.
Her friends are also the worst; everyone feared their little group, even the club knew how Heeseung hyung’s sister is problematic—how she’s such a spoiled brat, how she has a bigger allowance than him and an even better car which was gifted to her by their parents on her 16th birthday.
Speaking of, there she is now at one of the Science labs. Classes have been dismissed early today due to the event this evening, I wonder why she’s still here when everyone must be in their respective homes, getting ready or doing some last-minute touch-ups.
Unfortunately, I was assigned cleaning duties today, which explains why I’m still here. She, on the other hand looked glum, and she sat on one of the stools just outside the lab.
Now the problem is, how can I make her leave?
"Excuse me..." I approached her in the nicest way possible, "Lee Serin-ssi, I would need the stool so I can lock up the lab."
"I'm sorry?" she said with an automatic high-pitched voice. It's more or less 3 years since I last called her by her name, or rather talked to her.
"I said-" I was ready to repeat what I said, but she cut me off.
"I heard you.” she said icily. "Do I look like I’m deaf?" she gave me a disgusted look that says nobody shoos her away.
"Of course not, I wasn’t implying anything!" I said as if it was the most obvious thing to say. Maybe she still made me speechless, maybe because I still think she looks like a goddess. Okay, so nobody knew I liked her before.
Without another word, she stood up and kicked the stool away from the both of us, the loud clang sounded through the empty corridors.
"Thanks." I said in a non-sarcastic voice, but somehow it still annoyed her since she gave me a piercing look. "Did you need something else?" I asked as I looked at her in the same manner.
She just shook her head as response.
"Good. The place is empty, let me walk you to the parking lot. It's not safe here." I offered, and to my surprise, she agreed.
We walked silently for the first few steps, but I had the urge to start a conversation, "are you excited about the prom later?"
"I'm not..." she was too quick to reply accompanied by a frown.
"Why? You're probably going to be the prom queen..."
She became quiet for a minute as she sat on one of the benches that were near the school’s parking lot. "How can you be excited when the people voting for you don't even respect you?"
"What do you mean?" I sat beside her. It somehow reminded me of those times when all we did was kill time in each other’s backyard. "Of course, they respect you..."
"More like scared of me!” She scoffs, “That's why they're voting. This may sound too narcissistic but I know I'm the most envied girl in school, but at the same time, I know I'm the most hated." A sigh escaped her lips. "What about you? Were you planning to root for me at all?"
"Of course..." it wasn't a lie per se. I was indeed going to vote for her, and I think she's the prettiest of all the nominees.
"For what reason? A prom queen should be someone to represent the school in a good way, not because she's popular or the most envied one, or maybe just because she's rich. She should affect the people's lives in a positive manner, not bully them..."
"You affect them... but only, they get terrified!" I couldn't help but laugh at my lame joke, she did too.
“I know how my brother’s life is a living hell because of me and I know how excited he is so he can stay away from me when he goes to University—he must’ve ratted out how much of a bitch I am..”
She was right, Heeseung hyung had non-stop complained about her since she had this new set of friends. Telling us how they were all a bunch of useless brats that can’t do anything. I’m just surprised that she wasn’t affected.
"Nishimura Riki... Do you even want to go to the stupid prom?" she asked when I didn’t say anything. Serin mentioning my name again, after so long, made me feel giddy. It was the only thing that I needed to realize that I missed her, a lot. I shrugged as I glanced at her.
"Let's play hooky!" she said with a big grin. “Uhm, you don’t have a date, right?”
"I don’t have a date. But for real?"
"Yes! But I'm going to be dead for sure if Heeseung oppa finds out I didn't attend."
"I have an idea..." I offered, as she was all ears. "What if we don't skip the prom, just be late? What do you say?"
"Sounds like a plan. We're going to be fashionably late!" she giggled. "Come on, let’s head home first so you can change into your tux, and I can wear my ridiculous dress.”
We each rushed home, to prep for the evening. Both agreeing to see each other at 6:30, an hour and a half from now.
Mom thought I was excited about the prom as she took thousands of pictures. I was already frowning big time, but she still finds it adorable. Kept asking who my date was and didn't believe a single thing I said when I said I didn't have a date.
Oh great! There's one thing I forgot to ask, her number! Of all the things that I had to forget, it was this one essential thing.
I’m arguing with myself internally on whether to call Heeseung hyung or not. To call him and risk getting interrogated, or to wait for some miracle to happen and waste time?
My phone then rang, showing an unknown number.
"Hello?"
"Niki... it's me, Serin." the voice on the other line replied.
"I was about to call Heeseung hyung to get your number." I laughed.
"I stole your number from his phone..." she said proudly. "So where are we going to meet?"
"Shall I pick you up?" I offered. "But I have to tell you, the car I’m driving is an older model, you may not want to be seen in something old and beat up!” I teased.
"It doesn’t matter, to be honest. I actually don’t care. I just asked my parents for my car so I can piss off Heeseungie oppa!" That surprised me, as I expected another reason. This made me grin unknowingly, my mom looking at me weirdly.
I faced the opposite side just so she wouldn’t see my face, "Great, I'll be there in 20 minutes."
We both hung up as I made my way to the car, trying to avoid any more conversation with my mother.
This is not a date, this is not a date, this is not a date. I kept repeating this to myself as I didn’t want to assume. It’s even more surprising that she didn’t have a date for the prom.
It took me less than 20 minutes to reach their place, have I driven too fast?
Serin was wearing a light blue dress, the hem of the skirt flowed just above her knee, paired with a strappy high-heeled sandals which looked uncomfortable. The whole outfit she put together was not on the conservative side, but on her, it looked elegant. Breathtaking, in fact. She really is.
As a courtesy of course, I got off my car after I parked it, and I can tell that Heeseung hyung was surprised to see me.
"I didn't believe that you’re her date... I thought she was lying!"
"I told you oppa, I'm going with Niki..." she whined like a little kid. Cute.
"It's better that you go out with him since he's a close junior, just don't give him a headache, please. It’s already embarrassing enough to be your brother!" he scolded her. "Niki, take care of my sister, and I'm hoping that you’ll be patient enough with her. " He both pushed us lightly to my car, and we waved our goodbyes before leaving.
"Where are we going?" She was pretty excited when she asked.
"I have no idea..." I confessed. I didn't plan the whole thing, since I wasn't really good at stuff like this. She must've sensed my hesitation when she spoke.
"It's okay, lets grab some takeout first and then I know this place..."
We chatted like old friends as we drove, she was nothing like the Park Serin that everyone knew from school, tonight, she was just the fun-loving, silly girl that I used to be friends with.
After we got the food, she instructed me to drive until we reached a secluded place, which was overlooking the city. The air was fresh, far from the city's pollution.
"I often go here when I feel like my life is useless..." she stated. We were both sitting in my car's hood, looking at the city lights, "this place is like my sanctuary..."
She continued to speak without inhibitions, "When we were in our last year of middle school, I felt the pressure. I started to change without even knowing it until it came to the point that I got lost, and I didn't even know who I was... and after talking to you today, I was reminded of how happy I was back then... so thank you."
Dumbstruck was the perfect word to describe me at this moment, I didn't know what to say. This was the person that I fell in love with before. She was the Serin that I knew... the one I’ve always admired.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" she tilted her head, her clueless expression was so inviting.
And this made me realize that I never really stopped liking her. I just became contented with looking at her from afar.
"Nothing..."
"Oh come on!"
"It's just that..." I didn't finish my sentence, instead, I touched her cheeks, then slowly lowered my face to hers and kissed her. I can tell that she was shocked at first, but she slowly reciprocated.
"I've always wanted to do that..." I admitted, "but I never had the chance."
She rested her head on my shoulder, "you should've done that before... I needed a wakeup call.”
"Are you kidding? You were so high and mighty in school, I even thought you forgot about me.
"Well... not really, but the people around me made me feel like I had no life back then. I hate the idea that I had to give in with peer pressure. And I had this tiny crush on you, I thought you should know." She lowered her voice into a whisper.
“What? Can you speak a bit louder please?”
She hit my arm softly, and I knew she was shy about it, but still it was fun to tease her this way.
"It's okay babe, at least we're good now... and if you must know, I like you before too, and I still do.” That confession made her smile, “I wish we can just stay here…”
"Idiot, we can't. We still must go to the prom..."
I frowned, "Why?"
"Because I want to show you off!"
---
Time passed by so quickly that when we got to the prom, it was just in time for the announcement of the prom king and queen. The school principal was the one who announced it, but it wasn't Serin.
We were standing in the middle of the crowd, giving applause along with the rest of the students, I initially thought that Serin would be disappointed, but I was wrong--she was smiling from ear to ear with a look of contentment plastered on her pretty face
"Serin! I thought you wouldn’t make it!" one of her friends approached us, "What are you doing with him?" The said friend looked at me from head to foot, repulse evident in her eyes.
"Well, I'm here, aren't I?" Serin snapped, "and Niki is my date. Now if you'll excuse us."
“Was that okay?” I probed as she dragged me to the dance floor, “I mean she’s still your friend…”
“Ah, the friend that spreads baseless rumors about me.” She then wrapped her arms around my neck as we found our spot and started slow dancing as Butterfly by The Boyz started playing.
She tiptoed a little and gave me a kiss on my right cheek and smiled. I panicked internally when I realized that we were in front of the whole senior class, and I was right when I saw Heeseung hyung and the others looking at me, equally astounded but quietly cheering me on.
“Heeseung hyung is going to kill me!” I muttered and when she heard she looked around, instantly finding her brother staring at the both of us, arms crossed, as if waiting for an explanation.
“Oh he’ll live with it!” she rolled her eyes and gave me another kiss, this time on the lips. “I want to see him try though!”
This is going to be the most interesting summer of my life!

How Preschools Encourage Toddlers Interaction
Throughout the preschool years, a kid starts to form his own opinions about the world, learn appropriate language and social behavior, and tries to adapt to the changes that come with everyday life. Teaching children these essential skills at the right age is essential to their success in school and in their social life. Preschool plays such a significant role in a child's development.
Tumblr media
Potential for Growth
A preschool is a happy place where students learn by playing. Teachers educate children to do a variety of tasks such as reading storybooks, building with blocks, playing memory games, discussing rain and stars, etc. Children in Best Nursery School are exposed to variety of activities, which encourage them to select one that interests them. In this manner, they may find out what they like. When children begin to notice their surroundings, they ask a question, which helps them become active learners.

Children Curiosity
Preschool children learn to grow by caring for themselves and others. Children have a natural curiosity about everything. This task will be made simpler by preschools, which also educate kids to solve problems through communication, experimentation, and exploration.

Summary:
Leo and Calypso have been neighbors and friends since kindergarten. The two were inseparable all the way to high school. However, in their Junior years, Calypso was about to confess to her crush, Percy Jackson. However, he turned her down and made her realize that who she truly loves is her best friend, Leo. Will she finally let her true feelings out? Or will she bury them deep in her heart, never to see light?
Story:
Calypso looked everywhere in the library, but Leo was nowhere to be found.
“Maybe he’s at the Mechanic’s Clubroom?” She thought. She headed toward a small garage near the school where some students go when doing some mechanical projects for their club. Leo would tend to be there every now and then but due to his… wild ideas, he was not allowed to work on any projects there. Instead, he tends to help out the other students when they ask for his help.
Calypso looks around to find Leo. Then suddenly, someone spoke inside. Calypso peeked in the garage and saw Leo with another girl. A club member named Jessie. She has brown hair and wears a little bandanna on her forehead. She’s wearing a jumpsuit that all club members wear when they’re in the garage.
‘What’s going on?’ Calypso thought.
“So… I… I like you… for a very long time.”
Calypso's heart stopped for a second and realized what was going on. Leo was getting confessed by a girl. She’s panicking, fearing that Leo will accept her confession. That Jason was wrong and he doesn’t see her as a lover.
“So… will you go out with me?” She asked. It was quiet for a moment, putting suspense on his answer.
“Yeah, I’d love that.”
Calypso lost her breath and her heart just stopped instantly, as if it shattered into many pieces and was unable to be rebuilt. Tears were starting to fall on her cheeks and before anyone could spot her, she ran off.
She failed.
She should’ve realized the truth of her feelings a long time ago and confessed to him. He was always by her side through thick and thin. He was there for her when she was heartbroken; he was there when she got her first period; he was there when she was grieving the loss of her sister. He was there when she needed help with her garden and fixed up her tools as well. He was always there for her. And now… he won't be anymore. He’ll be too busy with his girlfriend and won’t make time for her. And the thought alone is unbearable.
Meanwhile, back at the garage.
“And Scene!” Leo said. “And that’s how you’ll confess to him, okay?”
Jessie sighs, “Leo, there’s no point in practicing! I’m just gonna make a mistake and end up stuttering on my words!”
Calypso was unaware that Leo was actually helping Jessie practice her confession to her crush.
“Besides, I’m not even that pretty.”
“Looks aren’t everything, Jessie. Plus I think you have a fair amount of charm on you. Look, the guy you like seems like he’s totally into you. I mean, he practically comes and visits everyday just to see you. There’s literally no reason for anyone to come here unless it’s us club members. Look… If a guy like me can get a girl like Khione, then you’ll definitely hit it off with your crush.”
“Didn’t she use you just to get to Jason?”
“She did, but she saw me as a threat to one of the hottest guys in school. So…”
Jessie snickered, “Did you just call Jason Grace hot?”
“Yes, but don’t tell him. It’ll go to his head.”
Jessie rolled her eyes and thanked him for support. She ran off, leaving Leo by himself.
He really should take his own advice and just confess to Calypso. But, the thought of their friendship ending because of his love for her was too much to bear. He was content with just being her friend.
But he wants more.
Is it wrong to be selfish sometimes?
Leo and Jason met up at the Library as usual but Calypso was a no show. Both are unaware that she saw the confession and did not know it was simply an act.
“She usually comes here,” Leo said, concerned.
“I’m sure she’s just caught up with some of her other friends.”
Leo grumbled, “I guess, so what do you want to talk about?”
Jason told the news that he finally asked Piper out and she said yes.
“FINALLY!” Leo yelled. “It’s about damn time!”
“Shut up! I don’t want to hear that from you! You still haven’t confessed to Calypso.”
“And I told you, I’m fine where we’re at.”
“No you’re not, and you know it.”
“Can we just focus on you right now?”
Jason sighs but nodded.
The two talked about how his date is gonna go. Jason’s gonna take Piper to the Pier and go on some of the rides and play some games. He’s hoping to take her to a nice restaurant and confess his feelings to her. If things go smoothly, Jason might have a shot.
“If Calypso was here, she’d give us a woman’s point of view,” Leo said. “Where is she?”
“I already told her earlier today. She already knew. In fact, she was supposed to see you afterwards.”
Leo was now getting more concerned until the bell rings, announcing for next class.
“Head to class, Jason. It’s my free period right now. I’m gonna go find Sunshine.”
Jason understood and nodded. As Jason headed off to class, Annabeth came in, looking for Leo. She saw him and marched toward him, furiously.
“What did you do this time?!” Annabeth asked angrily.
“I swear, this time I didn’t do anything.”
“Then why is Calypso crying in the girl’s bathroom?!”
“What?!” Leo said. “Where?!”
Annabeth told him that she found her crying in the girls bathroom on the second floor. Leo ran off to find her when he started hearing crying in the bathrooms. He knocks the door just to make sure no one else was in there.
“Calypso?” Leo said.
“Go away, Leo!” Calypso said, sobbing.
“Calypso? What’s wrong?” he said, concerned. “Did something happen? Was it your dad again?”
Calypso's dad was the reason her sister died and for some reason is fighting a custody battle with her mother for her. The truth was that he doesn’t care about her health at all, he just using her for his selfish gains.
“No…” She replied.
“Was Khione being an Ice Queen again?”
“No…”
“Then, what’s wrong? Tell me, please? I don’t like to see you upset. If it’s about Percy-”
Calypso slams open the door and Leo sees her with puffy eyes and tears flowing down her cheeks.
“What’s wrong?! You! That’s what’s wrong! You just love playing with a woman's heart, never thought that maybe what you’re doing hurts them! Have you ever thought about how I felt?!”
Leo was confused. He genuinely does not know what he did that made her upset.
“Look, I’m sorry for whatever I did. But Sunshine-”
“AND DON’T CALL ME THAT! I’M NOT YOUR SUNSHINE! YOU ARE THE WORST! I DON’T WANT TO EVER SEE YOU AGAIN!” She yelled and ran off
Leo just stood there, confused and shocked at what just happened.  He doesn’t know what he did that made her this upset, but he needs to find a way to apologize.
The thought of his Sunshine hating him hurts more than every confession he was denied.
The day arrived for Jason’s date with Piper, but he was very concerned about the argument Leo and Calypso had. Leo told him of what happened and he was just as confused as him. Nobody seems to know why she yelled at him and it’s making Leo worried.
“Don’t worry about me, Jason. Go enjoy your date. You earned this moment. This is my mess so I’ll clean it up… somehow.”
That’s what Leo said.
As soon as Jason arrived at Piper’s place and rang her doorbell, she opened it and he was speechless. She was dressed casually, but to him she is the most beautiful being on the planet.
“Hey Sparky,” Piper said, smirking.
“H-hey, Pipes,” Jason stuttered. Piper chuckles at his shyness but grabbed his hand gently.
“Ready to go?” She asked. He nodded and the two headed off to the Pier. Their date was going smoothly, they went on a couple of fun rides and games. Piper was having a really good time, which gives Jason some hope that this date may end up with a chance to be in a relationship with her.
“I’m having a fun time, Jason,” She said.
Jason blushed and replied, “Me too… it’s fun with you around.”
As the two continued walking around, Piper had to use the bathroom real quick. Meanwhile, Jason spotted Calypso by one of the benches near the sides of the pier.
“Calypso?” Jason said. “What are you doing out here?”
“Oh… hey Jason. I… I just came here to avoid Leo.”
“I heard that you two argued, but what happened?” He asked.
“Leo… L-Leo…” Calypso started to cry. “I was too late, Jason. Another girl already confessed to Leo and he said yes.”
“What?” Jason said.
“It’s true, I saw it with my own eyes.”
Jason was surprised. Leo did tell him earlier before the fight, he was helping a club member practice so that she can confess. He now understands what happened.
This was all a misunderstanding.
“Wait, Calypso, I think you misunder-”
“It’s fine, Jason. I knew it was a waste. This was my punishment for realizing too late my feelings. You go enjoy your date. I’ll… I’ll be okay.”
Jason wanted to tell her the truth, but he can see that she won’t listen.
The only person that can talk to her is Leo. And he’s currently at home, working on a way to make up with her.
The whole situation was just frustrating and Jason’s the only one who has all the answers. But if he does this, it’ll ruin his date with Piper.
“I’m back,” Piper said. “Something wrong?”
“Oh, uh… nothing. Just thinking about some stuff.”
“Oh okay, then shall we get going?”
The two kept walking, but Jason was still thinking about Leo and Calypso’s situation. After a short while, it was time to get something to eat.
“You want to grab something to eat?” She asked.
“Uh before we do. There’s… something I want to ask.”
“Sure, what’s up?”
“Well… why did you agree to go on a date with me? I mean, you’re funny, pretty and all the guys and girls like you. I just want to know why me?”
Piper was quiet for a moment, then answered.
“Because you’re kind.”
“What?”
Piper blushed, “Last year, you were always supportive of my suggestion for the project, yet you also guided me so that I didn’t make any mistakes. I also saw how you are with your friends. You always give them support and push them to do the right thing. You never asked for anything in return nor do you put others in harm's way. You weren’t just some high school cliche Jock. You were more than that. You were… a good guy. Like a real hero.”
Jason's heart stopped.
It was at that moment he realized he truly had fallen in love with this girl. And it pains him that she’s right.
He brought out a frustrating sigh.
“Jason?” Piper said with concern.
“I’m sorry, Pipes. You’re gonna hate me for this. And you have every right to be. But, I need to go help a friend.”
Before Piper could reply. Jason already ran off to his car.
To get Leo.
To fix this mess.
Meanwhile, Leo was trying to figure out what he can do to have Calypso forgive him. It’s only been a day and he misses her badly. He misses her sassy remarks; her laugh; her judgemental look toward him. But most of all, he misses her smiles.
If he doesn’t fix this soon, he’ll lose her forever.
HONK HONK
Leo heard a car horn outside his house and looked out the window. He sees Jason in his car. Leo ran outside to see what was going on.
“Jason? What are you doing out here? Did you just ditch Piper on your date?!”
“Shut up and get in!” Jason said.
“What? What are you-”
“JUST SHUT UP AND GET IN!” Jason yelled.
Jason has never yelled at Leo before. This baffled him but he obeyed and got in; he did not want to make Jason more mad. Jason drove off and explained to Leo what happened.
“I found out why Calypso was mad. She saw you and Jessie practicing and she assumed it was real.”
“What?”
“She told me.”
“But why would she get mad over that? I was only-”
“BECAUSE SHE LOVES YOU! YOU DUMBASS!” Jason yelled. “After she confessed to Percy, he told her that he thought she was dating Leo. Afterwards, she realized she was in love with you the whole time!”
Leo was shocked and speechless at the sudden news.
“T-there’s no way that she loves me.”
“Really?! Think of all the guys she was crushing on! Literally every guy has some sort of trait similar to you! Odysseus was as smart as you; Drake was courageous as you; and Percy is just as loyal as you! She was subconsciously in love with you and it took Percy to help her realize the truth! And now, she’s crying at the Pier thinking it’s too late! So I had to leave Piper to get you to clean this mess!”
“What?!” Leo said. “She’s at the Pier, alone?!”
“Yes! Calypso is crying and I left Piper too; all so I can help you clean up your mess! I just ruined my one chance to be with the girl I like so that you can be with your true love!”
Leo was baffled at Jason’s intention. He ruined his own date to help Leo apologize to Calypso and confess their true feelings.
Leo truly was a dumbass.
He owes both Jason and Piper an apology.
They arrived at the Pier.
“Jason, I-”
“Save it. Just go get your girl,” Jason replied.
“I owe you one,” Leo said and ran off.
He owes Jason more than one for this one.
Calypso looks around as she continues to sit on the bench. She remembers when she was little and she and Leo would go there with his mom. They’d go on every ride and play every game available. She remembers one time they were at a shooting game and Leo won a teddy bear. He gave it to her because he thought it was childish.
She still has it in her room and kept it since.
They had so much fun together and were alway by each other’s side. And now, Calypso regrets never being able to tell her true feelings to her Leo.
“I wonder if they’re having fun right now,” Calypso said, wondering about Leo and Jessie.
“Sunshine!”
Calypso jumped a bit as she heard his voice. As if just thinking about him summons him.
“Leo?! What are you doing here?”
Panting, Leo replied, “Sorry, Sunshine. I know you don’t want to see me. But, I had to find you.”
“Why? Shouldn’t you be out with Jessie?” She asked with a harsh tone.
“That’s why I’m here. This is a huge misunderstanding.”
“What do you mean?”
Leo explained to her what happened at his club. However, she refused to believe since it sounds like a cliche thing to happen in romantic-comedy movies.
“There’s no way that happened.”
“But it did, Sunshine!” Leo said. “And even if she did confess to me, I’d turn her down.”
“Why? You dated other girls before; isn’t that you wanted? To have a girlfriend?!”
“I only want you!”
He finally said it.
“Every girl I try to go for shares some similarity to you! You’re funny; smart; beautiful and not afraid to get your hands dirty!”
Calypso wants to believe, but she feels like Leo is only doing this out of pity.
“That’s not true!”
“Why do you think I’ve always asked you when I went off to see a show? Or those times we spent at the treehouse. And what about those times you cried after every rejection you went through?”
“You did it because you’re my friend. We’ve been friends since we were kids.”
“Exactly, Sunshine!”
“Don’t call me-”
Calypso got interrupted when Leo moved forward and kissed her.
Her brain and heart halted for a second as she realized what was happening. Suddenly, her memory of their first kiss came back to her.
“That didn’t happen!” Calypso said, blushing.
But Leo was dazed at what just happened but nodded.
Neither wanted to admit that it was amazing.
And now, back at the present, Calypso was one that was shocked. Leo slowly distanced himself and said, “That did happen, Sunshine. I… I love you.”
Her eyes were getting teary out of the sudden confession.
“I’ve always loved you and always will. I can’t imagine my life without you. You’re my best friend; my partner in crimes… my first and only true love. I’d follow you and save you from every hell that awaits us, especially college.”
Calypso laughed but was still tearing up from his words.
“I… I love you too, Leo.”
Leo let out a huge breath of relief.
“Oh thank god, I thought I was gonna have to get a jukebox and play it by your window,” Leo joked.
Calypso laughed, “You are such an idiot sometimes.”
She kissed him.
The two held on to each other tightly, fearing that this was all a dream and that they’ll wake up. But they didn’t; they’re feelings finally let out and they have each other now.
Meanwhile, Jason spotted the two as he went after Leo. He sees them kissing and let out a sigh.
“It’s about damn time,” He said.
“You said it.”
Jason jumped and looked behind him and saw Piper there.
“Piper?!”
“Hey.”
“What are you doing here?”
“I was wondering why you ran off, then I saw Calypso there earlier. I kind of put two and two together.”
“Yeah… I’m sorry.”
“You should be,” She said. “If I knew you were helping them get together, I’d have help too.”
“What?”
“I swear, those two took their damn time.”
“So, you’re not mad at me?”
“Oh I’m mad.”
Well, there goes Jason’s hope.
“But you can pay me back with another date,” Piper smirked.
“What?!” Jason said.
Piper laughed and replied, “I had a really great time with you. And like always, you put others before yourself. Always acting like a hero for everyone.”
She took his hand and squeezed it gently.
“But even heroes deserve to be loved too,” She said as she pulled Jason by his shirt collar and kissed him.
Time has passed and as Senior year was near its end, we found our main couple up in their little treehouse by the backyard, cuddling.
“Leo?” Calypso said. But Leo was not responding since they did take a quick nap during break. She sighs and climbs on his lap and flicks his forehead.
“Ow!” He said. He looked up and saw his Sunshine on him and smirked.
“Now this is the best way to wake up.”
“Oh really? Getting flicked by your pissed off best friend?” She said.
“No, waking up from my beautiful girlfriend who’s also on my lap… half naked.”
Calypso blushed as she remembers earlier before they napped that they had a very intense make-out session that most likely the neighborhood has heard. She’s gonna be too embarrassed to face the neighbors now.
“Shut up! That was your fault for being-”
“Cute? Irresistible?” Leo interrupted.
“Irritating,” She finished.
Leo laughed but held Calypso by her waist.
“Admit it, you love me just the way I am,” He said as he kissed her by the neck.
“Whatever,” She said, unable to reply well due to his kisses. “Please tell me you got everything set for college?”
“I did, don’t worry. We’re still getting a nice apartment close to the university, just the two of us.”
Calypso smiled.
After they finally confessed, the two were back to their old self. Except this time, it was mixed with some strong affections and whispers and several other lovey-dovey stuff. Especially the most spicy moments, like what they just did earlier. And now, high school is almost over and they’re both graduating. Their plan is once they head to college, they’ll have a nice little apartment together to save up money and hopefully one day, come back home to take over the family business, or at least, Leo’s family’s business.
“I still think we should add some entertainment in the garage,” Calypso says. “It’d be nice for some people who come to the shop. Oh, and we should definitely have a restaurant too, giving the visitor a place to relax while you work on their cars.”
Leo chuckled, “You do realize it’s my family business?”
“And what? Am I not family?” Calypso frowned as Leo stopped his action and stared at her.
“What?”
“I mean, you said that after college you were going to take after the shop and you want by your side, right?”
Leo blush as she points toward the old drawings on the wall.
“W-we were kids, Sunshine! I wasn’t thinking and-”
Calypso cupped his cheeks and kissed him gently but passionately. She let go and leaned her forehead to his.
“Well neither am I. Right now, I’m listening to my heart. And it’s telling me to never let you go. Never again. I love you, Leo.”
Leo’s heart took a big leap and can’t stop himself from grinning.
“I love you too, Calypso. Always.”
Leo kisses her passionately, then continues down toward her neck and lower. Calypso moans as he continues to shower her with all of his love and more.
I think it’s safe to assume that in the end, they lived happily ever after.

My own thoughts on Tumblr #1
⚠️ Disclaimer: I don't own the images and none of them are mine.
📷 Credits to Allisha Gray, WNBA: Twitter/ X: Logan Sargeant and Pinterest plus *IG (*Author's note: Ugh . . .) for all of the respective images.
Plus consider a set of photos below the Allisha and Logan photo are photo references to how Logan and Kaia are a couple plus Kaia's face claim is Allisha Gray (As usual obviously) and Logan is just being Logan Sargeant obviously.
Speaking of Logan, he does reminded me of a real life Anakin meets Prince Eric in real life while personality wise; he does reminded me of a prince Eric which does came to life obviously except Logan has either a dark blonde or a brownish blonde hair? I'm not too sure.
*Author plays regular version of 'Fill me in' by Cejae from YT via my brand new silver iMac in an apartment located on the outskirts of Waikiki, just near to the Diamond Head area which are just a couple miles away from the area of both Honolulu and Waikiki; located in the island of Oahu, Hawaii*
Also, can we talk about the third particular image on the first images of a couple I've always think of Logan and Kaia?
I mean it does makes me think of how both Logan and Kaia in the writing project of "Logan and Kaia"; they both once used to swim for their respective school swim team back in their school days before the changes in their very own life; from Logan having to be tutored by a private tutor where his parents had to hire him while he goes on to surf in the junior surf competitions and traveling the world yet he is forced to leave school because of the scheduling conflict with the WSL world tour and yet he had to travel with the Quiksilver surf team ever since he is young surfer 'Grom' whom he was forced to sign the contract at a very young age.
Meanwhile, Kaia had been a water woman for a very long time ever since she had been swimming, surfing and scuba diving for a very long time in her very own life.
But apart from being a local 'water woman' in Hawaii, she too is a business owner of her very own nail salon as she did went to the mainland of USA for a while to do both on getting an actual business degree and heading to beauty school to do anything with nails plus working at a nail salon at there before heading back to the island of Oahu, Hawaii to open her very own nail salon at the streets of Waikiki.
Plus in case if you are wondering: Kaia went to Moanalua school from her kindergarten days to her graduation days while Logan had to be tutored by a private tutor as the unnamed group of guys whom they asked him (Logan) to be part of the Quiksilver Team; leading to how he was forced to leave school so early to be in the groms and junior surf competitions but his parents are feeling upset, hurt; angered and heartbroken that he decided to let his parents know he is going to the surf league at a very young age but they decided to give him both his wishes and his blessings along the way while he had to face both the pressure and expectations of how he had been labelled by the public as "The next generation of Kelly Slater".
Hence the reason why he is from Florida and so does Kelly for your information.
On a personal and a serious yet an irrelevant note; I don't truly think anyone can replace a surfer like either Kelly or Carissa (On the women's side of WSL) as they both are great surfers in their very own ways and they are also both amazing who are unique in their own ways thus . . . no 'full on level of true offense' to everybody who is reading this particular on my Tumblr Blog in general.
Plus speaking of the part where he had tutored by a private tutor; his parents had no choice but hire a private tutor in order to make sure he (Again; Logan) didn't neglect his studies and having a future outside of professional surfing.
However after a painful and a humiliating surf wipe out in Tahiti he (Logan) had to truly experience; he decided to flew out to Hawaii where he not only worked at the Twin Fin Hotel at Jaime O' Brien's School of Surfing where he not only works as both a volunteer and as a surf instructor as well with the local surfers of Waikiki, along the way; he met the beautiful Kaia Walker whom she always felt as if she hadn't gotten any 'true' luck with her love life especially after her ex-high school sweetheart decided to break her heart by going with several other girls to prom--leading her to guarding her own heart in order to prevent any more heartbreaks from other guys.
Except when she met Logan at Waikiki beach; he was gathering the surfboards; she ended up helping him and all of the sudden; she felt an instant spark between him and her and Logan also felt the same way as well.
However the question is 'Can they surf together on a wave together or will they get both wiped out by the waves and the rip tides where they both have to experience heart break all over again from the very beginning?"
Anyway: I did wrote the summary but I'm not sure if it is going to happen or not but either way, maybe but who knows.
I'm sorry; I'm still reeling from the nightmare of Logan not being able to drive for the Williams team ever since it is deeply more worse than losing Allisha Gray to the Atlanta Dream.

Greetings! I am Juliana Monique D. Magday, 20 years old. I am a 3rd year college student at Mabalacat City College who aspires to be an educator major in English in the future.
Tumblr media
Being in the education industry runs through our blood. I came from a family of teachers; my grandmother from my father’s side was a retired supervisor; my late grandfather from my father’s side was a principal; my uncle and my father are teachers; and my mother graduated as a teacher as well. Meanwhile, my grandmother, from my mother’s side, aspired to be a teacher when she was young, but due to financial instability, she wasn’t able to finish college. Which is why it is my main reason out of thousands of reasons why I am pursuing being an educator. I want to fulfill her dream, and I want to finish what she started.
Tumblr media
She became my personal teacher when I was a child. My grandmother told me that I started learning ABC and 123 when I was 3 years old. We would always have a learning session in the morning and in the afternoon, wherein she taught me basic counting and familiarization with letters. I can still remember, since my grandmother is strict, that when I don’t want to study or when I can’t keep up with what my grandmother is teaching me, I would always run to my grandfather for help! Then my grandfather will be the one to teach me in a gentle way.
Fast forward: I entered school. I started in kindergarten, and throughout my elementary schooling, I can say that I am very proud of myself and my achievements because, yearly, my grandfather always goes to the stage with me because of my academic awards. I can say that I will not achieve milestones if not because of them, because my grandparents are the ones who guided me and helped me in my education.
Tumblr media
Growing up, I still want to pursue becoming an educator, not only because I want to fulfill my grandmother’s dream but because teaching is my passion as well. When I teach my younger sisters to do their assignments, I feel a sense of happiness and fulfillment because I was able to help them. I came to the realization that I want to teach and inspire my students to become the best versions of themselves.
Here’s the moment of realization: the reason why I chose to pursue my college education at Mabalacat City College was number 1, because there was no tuition fee and the school was near our house; and number 2, because my junior and senior high school teachers graduated from MCC, so it came to my mind that I could ensure quality education at this school. When I was filling out my college admissions application, little did I know that MCC has an extension school at Madapdap. So I panicked that time because Madapdap was so far away from our house. My mother advised me to take tourism management classes with my sister so that we could study at MCC Main Campus. That time, I made an indecisive decision because I was worried about my education, thinking that if I pursued the teaching industry, I may not be able to finish it due to financial instability (the transportation and all), so I submitted my application pursuing tourism management. After that, I felt uncomfortable the whole day, so I decided that whatever it takes, whatever hindrances I may face, I will make my dream come true. So I submitted an application again, pursuing a BSEd major in English.
Tumblr media
I chose to major in English mainly because of better job opportunities. As a teacher with an English major, I can work in different countries that offer a much better salary. Moreover, I want to go out of my comfort zone and enhance my language and communication skills.
Being an English major is really a roller coaster ride. I discovered another part of myself wherein I can learn valuable lessons and showcase my skills. I’ve done things I thought I really didn't, such as reading and speaking with many people. Through my English major, a new door was opened to me, and that is my appreciation for literature. Before, I was not really into reading books or stories because I am the type of person who easily understands the story through watching. But because of the requirements for academic purposes in this industry, I was able to explore new things. It was and is still an amazing journey that allows me to connect with diverse cultures and perspectives. Moreover, through literature, I have learned a lot of moral lessons that I could apply in my everyday life. Literature also nurtures critical thinking and creativity. Not only that, through literature, I was able to feel solace and inspiration because, for me, literature is a great companion. Therefore, I can say that my appreciation for literature is not just for academic purposes; it is also a lifelong enrichment wherein it shapes my understanding of the world and myself.
Second, my language proficiency was also tested in this field. It was my first time doubting myself in every aspect. Language proficiency is the most important requirement for being an English major, but it’s a skill that I lack. Aside from not being into reading, writing is my weakness as well. And for speaking, when I was in junior and senior high school, I was really good at reporting in front of my classmates, but when I entered college, I would feel anxious and drastically nervous when I needed to speak in front of many people. I really don’t know what has gotten to me because I was used to doing it before, but now I feel scared. Maybe because of the pressure I feel. I feel like I am not allowed to make mistakes this time because I am already closer to fulfilling my dream.
Tumblr media
Over time, I learned a lot of lessons. I didn’t only have these hindrances, but I also found a way to surpass them. I go back to where I was before, and I reminisce about the reasons why I want to become a teacher majoring in English. And that was the time that I reminded myself and cheered myself up that whatever it takes, I will achieve it. I did a lot of things to help myself, such as reading, testing my skills, watching online courses, and the like. And I also allowed myself to make mistakes and go with the flow. I realized that making mistakes would allow me to learn lessons.
As I enhance my language skills nowadays, I find that I can express ideas more effectively and clearly. This level of competency involves more than just language use; it also involves navigating a variety of contexts, comprehending cultural variations, and enjoying the beauty of linguistic diversity. Summing it up, language competency is a dynamic ability that facilitates clear communication and strengthens bonds in an increasingly interconnected world.
In conclusion, my path as a student majoring in English and aspiring to become a teacher has been a challenging journey. Along the way, I learned an extensive amount about literature, and I've improved my language skills. This journey has broadened my horizons and given me a deep respect and appreciation for the art of the teaching profession.
After some thought, I see that pursuing this academic goal is more than simply a way to get a degree; it's a life-changing and fulfilling experience that will influence not just my own development but also my future ability to influence, teach, and inspire others.
