#june round up

Feels like it's only yesterday I did one of these, but here we are again, another month down.

We're halfway through the year and through the round, and so far we've sent out 149 cards. 71 participants have created at least one fill, nine have a bingo, and two have filled every square on their card and come back for more!

June is always a busier month for fills, and this year is no different - we got a fabulous 72 fills by 29 wonderful participants. 52 were fics, 14 were artworks, two were fics and art, and then we also got a podfic, a reclist, a gifset and a playlist!

Just as June tends to be busier, we tend to get a wider variety of ships this month as well, which I for one think is an excellent thing. There's the usual suspects at the top of the list (merthur at 29 and gen at 17), the rarer-but-still-reasonably-common-for-bingo pairs (Gwen/Lancelot, Merlin/Gwaine, and Merlin/Lancelot all at three, then Arthur/Gwen and Merlin/Morgana both at two), and then 13 different ships with just the one fill, which you'll find with other the other fills below the cut!

Small Town, Tuesday Night by Tentaculiferous (America/Canada) Rotting away in the boring small town he grew up in, Alfred lets himself be pushed into a blind-date with the one other gay guy in the area—some dude named Matthew. There's no way he'll hit it off with some stranger, but at least it'll shut his nagging dad up for awhile, and­­ offer some variety in a life where the days all blur together. Matthew is spending his summer break upstate, enjoying hiking and fishing and being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. When his cousin offers to set him up with a coworker's son, he accepts. He wasn't exactly pining away for a boyfriend but maybe a little romance will spice up his summer. Neither is prepared for what they'll see when they finally meet.

Usually June brings out a larger variety of ships, but it was surprisingly consistent this year. 17 works were gen, 12 were Merlin/Arthur, two were Balinor/Hunith, and then Merlin/Gwaine, Gwen/Lancelot and Elyan/Percival all got one fill each.
