The more sci-fi media I consume the more I find myself rolling my eyes at the “automatic universal language translators”.

I understand it helps the story move faster in that case and explain how everyone is speaking the ‘same language’ but I think we’re missing a lot of fun plot opportunities

Like imagine: The year is 4059, humans have finally established connection with aliens and decides they want to try out this top notch new technology.

A ear piece that automatically And quickly translates all languages. Everyone is convinced this is going to be the key to interplanetary peace.

However the universal translator runs off a shitty Google Translate AI

Her being terrified and thinking she'll become a demon and him rushing to hold her close to him and telling her he loves her again and again, right after seeing her at her most vulnerable and knowing her “shame” has to be one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking moments in the movie. I like how Orlok's violence is juxtaposed with Thomas's gentle and comforting love for her. Also, love that prior to this moment it is Ellen who holds onto Thomas to stop him from leaving the house, riles him up to get a reaction out of him ending up in them having rougher, more passionate sex which she wants Orlok to see because she is actively trying to fight off his hold on her. Basically just giving him a middle finger lmao. And the fact that this time, she actually succeeds, once again showing how Orlok uses her desire to exercise control over her and how Thomas not only satisfies that desire but also liberates her from the terrible psychosexual connection/subjugation, rendering Orlok's control ineffective. Thomas's love empowers her. God I'm never ever getting over this scene. Like never. Everything about it is so beautiful and heartbreaking and haunting to me.

In October of 2021 – ALYX surprised Jumbled with 2 recordings over his beats– but unfortunately, one of  them had been used. So Jumbled flipped a new sample over the drums and now we have “Kanye Shxt.”  This inspired him to send more unused beats to AR and started the evolution of this album - The Greatest Show on Earth.

They kept trading tracks back and forth over email – but with some – ALYX would twist it and change it to bring it more to life (and not just rap over the finished track.) 

In the meantime - they have collaborated on a doo-wop inspired project, Halloween / Misfits project (and a yet to be released Miami Bass project.)

Finally  – the finished program – 15 tracks along with an intro and 3 interludes weave together a story that includes wrestling, faith, wearing glasses, Richard Mille, Bobby Digital and Family Ties.

Why I Prefer To Text Instead Of Talking

I don't have to think about body language

It allows for information processing time

If I'm confused by language, I can fact check

If I'm feeling overwhelmed, I don't have to reply

I feel less judged for how I communicate

I can organise my thoughts more easily

I feel more in control of what I am trying to say

It irritates me alot when people say that making medic more compassionate is ''missing the point of his character'' when he is literally shown to be in the comics.... did you miss the part where he showed concern for both sniper and miss pauling's well being in comic 5 and 6.

His actions are a combination of genuine attachment + clinical interest and these things do not cancel out one another. He is always pushing boundaries and going against the grain and i think this is what led to him losing his license in the first place. He felt stifled by the rules imposed on him.

He is shown to be extremely passionate so it makes sense that he would use his endless fascination with medicine as a way to show his affection. He loves his friends so he will find a way to make them borderline indestructible. Malpractice is his love language.
