OK so I was thinking about something cursed that I could send you privately, but...

What if Instant Star AU with Tommy Kinard in the Tommy Quincy part and Evan Buckley in the Jude Harrison part?

I'm not here to make sense, I'm just here to send you unhinged ideas.

here's to our tiny intersection of... two? people? Who watch both of these shows and also still hang in the fandoms?

Evan leans back into Tommy as the girl on the stage shifts her guitar on her lap, taking a pause in playing. He doesn’t really know any of the music except for a few select songs, but the woman is someone Tommy has followed from her time on one of those singing talent shows, way back when he was still a teenager. There were a few songs that Evan likes, but he’s had yet to hear any of them. 

“So, this next song, I haven’t played in a long time. It’s a deep cut off of one of my earlier works,” she explains. Tommy’s arms tighten around his waist as he presses a kiss into the back of his skull. “But my husband was reminding me what an important spot this song holds for us recently, and I realized then, I don’t think I’ve ever actually played it live.” 

She moves off the stool she’s on and walks over to the piano, sitting down and trailing her fingers over the keys. 

“Tommy likes to say this is the first door that opened for us,” she says, languidly playing over the keys. “I guess he might be right about that. Anyway, this is Don’t You Dare.” 

She begins playing the song, and Evan leans even more into Tommy, a satisfied smile crossing his face as she starts to sing. This is one of the songs he likes. He mouths the words along to the song as she sings. 

“dark cloud moving in just one fall of rain would wash away, wash away the pain

just one ray of sun to warm my skin and rid me of  the cold you’re drowning in…” 

Tommy drops a kiss onto his shoulder, nuzzling into his neck for a moment. 

“I could say that I don’t care but the truth is I’d follow you anywhere I’ve been waiting such a long, long time, don’t you dare change your mind…” 

He lifts his head then, presses his forehead into the side of Evan’s skull. Her fingers trail over the keys, adding an extra bar of notes that don’t belong in the song. 

“Evan, Tommy asked me if I could help him do something,” Jude states. 

Evan’s eyes go wide,  but Tommy holds him in place as she starts singing again. 

“It seems so close to me but still beyond my reach calling out and playing hide and seek look behind that door, he’s the one you’ve been searching for and he’s not a little boy anymore…” 

Tommy leans back then, dropping one of his arms around Evan’s waist, and reaching into his pocket. As the song continues into the bridge, his hand appears in front of Evan, black box in it. He flips it open with his thumb, revealing a tungsten ring with two lines of sapphire inlaid. 

“don’t wander ‘round looking for someone to replace me don’t wander ‘round wasting the rest of your life don’t wander ‘round waiting for someone else to save you and don’t you make the same mistake twice…” 

“I love you,” Tommy says, just loud enough for Evan to hear him over the music. “Far beyond even what this song says. And I know we haven’t always had it easy, but it’s always been worth it. I want more.” 

Evan shifts in his arms, just enough so that they can see eachother in the darkness of the concert lights. As they shift over them, the song slowly coming to an end as Jude hasn’t stopped playing, Tommy can see the tears in Evan’s eyes. 

“Yes,” he rasps before reaching up and pulling Tommy down into a hard kiss. The song ends and there’s clapping and cheering, though whether it’s for Jude or the proposal or a mix, neither of them are aware. 

“I’m going to assume that worked out,” Jude says from the stage. They’re only in the third row, so still close enough that she can see them. 

When they finally break apart, Tommy slips the ring on Evan’s finger and the blonde presses up against him again, peppering his lips with quick, excited kisses. 

“How did you pull this off,” Evan laughs, hugging him tightly. 

Tommy chuckles. “I know a guy.”

DCEU- Another franchise that pushes its other characters to the side. For example, Hush (Thomas Elliot) is literally the epitome of Bruce Wayne gone bad!

Ross Lynch- There are so many roles that Ross did so well in Like Teen Beach Movie or Sabrina.

Highschool Musical Franchise (2006- present ) I’m not just talking about HSMTS (2019), I mean even further back than that. I don’t see any Troy Bolton x black!reader and that’s crazy. I also can’t find any Zac Efron x black!reader

Characters: Jake x reader, twin boys Warning: All fluffy dad!Jake. Author's Note: Little Jake blurb. Was a preschool field trip a few months ago and was inspired by a wooden play boat to write this--and then rewrote it lol.

Summary: Park day with two little pirates.

The weather is perfect for a day at the park so you and Jake decided to take the kids out for some fresh air. As soon as Jake parks the car in an empty space, both boys are already unbuckling their seats and reaching for the door handles.

Jake chuckles. “Boys, relax. The playground isn’t going anywhere.” “Daddy!” The youngest whines as he bounces up and down on his toes. “Okay, okay.” Jake unlocks the doors and both boys are out of the car in a flash and racing each other to the playground.

Finding an empty picnic table, you set the cooler down on top and reach inside for water to hand to Jake. He gives you a soft thanks before turning his attention to the boys on the playground. Tommy plays in the sandpit while his younger brother, Jude swings on the swing set right beside him.

You see Jude’s eyes light up when he spots something on the other side of the playground. He gasps and jumps off the swing before sprinting over to the picnic table.

“Daddy!” He exclaims as he grabs Jake’s hand. “Daddy, there’s a ship!” “What do you mean there’s a ship? Whose ship do you think it is?” Jake says, playing into Jude’s fantasy. “Could it be Captain Blackbeard, Daddy?” “I don’t know, shall we go find out?” “Yeah!”

Jake sets his water on the table and stands up. He grabs hold of Jude and swings him on his back. “Do we see any crew running about on the ship?” He asks. “Do you see any heads?” Jude places his hand on his forehead above his eyes pretending to search the ship. “No heads, Daddy! Ghost is clear!” Jake laughs. “It’s ‘coast is clear’ buddy, not ‘ghost’.” “Oh..” Jude giggles. “COAST IS CLEAR!” He shouts. Jake tilts his head backwards to look at Jude. “Shall we climb the ship and take it?” “Aye! We shall!” Jude says as he throws his fist into the air. Jake chuckles and heads off towards the ship.

Stepping onto the play boat, Jake sets Jude on the ground. “Ship is definitely empty, my boy.” Jake says as he places his hands on his hips. “What shall we do now?” “We sail!” Jude jumps up and down. “Won’t the Captain be missing his ship?” Jake inquires. Jude shrugs his shoulders. “You snooze, you lose.” He says making Jake laugh. “Right you are.” He says. “So who should be the captain of this fine ship?”

Jude rests his hands on his hips as he thinks. He looks around before running over to the side of the ship. He searches the playground before his eyes land on his brother who’s still playing in the sandpit.

“Tommy!” He shouts. Tommy lifts his head. Jude waves at him from the play ship. He stands up from the sand and dusts off his pants before running through the playground towards the ship. “Want to be the captain?” Tommy's eyes lit up and Jake smiled. “Really?!” Jude nods his head.

Tommy climbs onto the ship and immediately climbs on Jake. “What are you doing?” Jake laughs. “You’re the captain.” “I know but I can’t see.” Tommy says. “I’m small.” Jake snorts before repositioning Tommy on his shoulders. “Better?” “Yes.”

Jake chuckles and rolls his eyes.

Ever since becoming a dad, he’s not only their father but he’s also their climbing tree. They’re constantly clinging to his legs or jumping onto his back. They’ll be the reason he has back and knee pains in the future.

“Captain, what do we do next?” Jude calls from the back of the ship.

“Hoist the sails!” Tommy calls. —

You stay watching the three of them running around on the ship when you see Jude fake being struck by a stray bullet and falling against the side of the ship. “We must get him to a doctor.” Jake says as he holds Jude’s body in his arms.

Tommy immediately points towards you. Jake nods his head and climbs off the play ship. Tommy runs ahead of them and jumps up onto the picnic bench beside you. “My sailor needs medical attention. Can you help?”

Jake walks over with a smirk on his face. “He seems to be wounded badly.” He says as he gently places Jude onto your lap. “Well where does he seem to be hurt?” You say. You can see Jude stifling a smile as he lays limp on your arms. “I think he got struck in the stomach.” Jake says. “Oh.. You mean here?” You say tickling Jude’s stomach makes him laugh. “I see he’s very ticklish.”

“Ah! Ah! Mama!” Jude laughs. “I’m okay now, Mama!” You laugh and sit Jude up on your lap. Tommy rushes over and lays his hand on Jude’s forehead. “He’s better. It’s a phenomenon.”

Jake sits down at the picnic table. “Captain, I believe this island would be a perfect place to settle down for a little while, don’t you agree?” Tommy nods his head. “I am a little peckish.”

You laugh at his vocabulary, knowing that he gets it from Jake. “I do believe this fair maiden has food.” Jake says, looking at you.

“I do,” You say, reaching beneath the table and bringing up a cooler. “I have fruit and vegetables but also peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.” She says. “But I like ham and cheese.” Tommy pouts. “I thought you’d say that.” You reach into the cooler and pull out a ham and cheese sandwich and hand it to him. “We have found a witch.” He says looking at Jake.

“Do we think your crew is hungry?” You ask poking Jude in his stomach. He giggles and nods his head. “Potato chips?” “Potato chips?” Jake questions. “How about we start with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then potato chips?” “What if we put potato chips on the sandwich?” Jude says. “Are you bargaining with me?” Jake says as he leans on the table. Jude leans on the table and closes in on Jake's face. Their noses touch and Jake chuckles. “Alright fine, you can have potato chips on your sandwich.” “Works every time.” Jude giggles as he leans back against your chest.

“Oh-h-h-h,” Jake says as he stands up from the table and pulls Jude out of your arms. “You sneaky little rascal.” Jude screams in laughter as Jake throws him over his shoulder and spins around. “Daddy!” Jude squeals. Jake sets Jude back down on the ground and ruffles his hair. “Go eat.” Jude jumps back up on the picnic bench and plops down beside Tommy. –

Parking the car in the driveway, Jake turns in his seat and looks back at the boys in the backseat. Both passed out in their carseats. He smiles and turns back around to unbuckle his seatbelt.

“I’d say we had a successful park trip.” You say as you both carry one of the twins into the house. You bring them upstairs to their bedroom and lay them in their beds. “From now on, in order to get them to nap, we take them to the park and let them run.” Jake says as the two of you quietly leave the room and shut the door. “Alright well… While they are asleep, I have something for us to do.” You say. “Oh yeah?” Jake smirks as wraps his arms around your waist. “And that would be?” “I need you to wash the dishes while I clean the bathroom.” Jake groans and hangs his head. “Do I have to wash the dishes?” “Would you rather scrub the toilet?” Jake sighs. “No more using the dishes. We use paper and plastic instead.”

Tommy and Jude from instant star, my beloved. Would probably be in my top 10 but it's a lesser known show. I also love Mac/Jericho (Fever series) but because its a book couple I didn't include. For the ask game: what's your favorite thing about girls verse? Do you have established headcanons for the girls?

honestly there are SO many things i love about girls verse- there's a reason it's at 20 fics and counting. i'm able to explore a side of tess and joel that canon would never touch, giving them the safety of jackson to grow and build a family together after locking themselves away in the ruins of a boston apartment for so many years. i love that i can build so many different relationships and dynamics, from canon characters to my established tlou ocs. mostly i just like being able to delve into my perfect image of the life tess x joel deserved (and only occasionally throwing some angst at them to keep them on their toes).

i actually DO have some established girls verse hcs:

maeve and darcy are constantly mistaken for twins despite their ten month age gap

ruth inherits her mother's allergy to bees

elsa wasn't initially planned to be tess and joel's last baby- they'd had plans to end at five- but she suffered from preeclampsia right around the thirty three week mark and ended up delivering early, with nina having to do an emergency hysterectomy afterwards when tess didn't stop bleeding

ruth is a tiny lil lesbian just like her big sister ellie

tommy introduces the girls to pokémon cards when he finds someone's discarded collection on a raid and they go FERAL over it for the entire summer

Jude's 34th Birthday Wishlist

It's that time of year everyone. And what a year this has been.

Things have been pretty tense in my house lately, and I figure they've been tense with everyone else as well. That's why this year the lists I usually do will be a lot smaller than usual.

So, here're the characters I'm looking at in case anyone wants to write or draw me anything for my birthday this month on December 25th. I'll usual I'll be posting a list for guy characters for heavyset/WG related stuff.

Butt Attack Punisher Girl Gautaman - Thought I'd throw her in to see if anyone would pick her. The main character of an ecchi problematic magical girl parody manga, which received a stupid OVA adaption which surprisingly gets you to actually care about the characters

Coagula - Kate Godwin, DC's first trans superheroine finally back from the dead for real thanks to my friend Joe Corallo

Forte Drums - The cute one with the bowtie of Team Forte from the webcomic Sleepless Domain (By Stardust Robin)

Hypnotia - Top henchwoman of the Mandarin in the Iron Man animated series and a blatant knockoff of the Enchantress. She should've gotten to appear in the comics.

Joker's Daughter - Duela Dent, daughter of who knows how many villains and a Teen Titan who does NOT run around with the Joker's face stapled on her head

Legion Founders - Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad are the founders of the Legion of Super-Heroes and the real trinity DC should put their money on. Either Preboot/Retroboot or the cartoon version for me.

Purple Tigress - Anita Morgan, supposedly spoiled heiress who wears a purple fur bikini and boots to fight crime as the Purple Tigress. Fought the Flasher. Had two appearances. I wrote a story about her which was published in River Gardner's Pretty Girls Make Graves

Sailor Jupiter - The brawny girl in love and Soldier of Protection, my favorite Sailor Scout

Supergirl (Linda Danvers) - The second post-Crisis Supergirl, a troubled young woman who gained powers when her life was saved by the previous Supergirl (Matrix). DC did her dirty because she's not Kara Zor-El.

Tormenta - Mistress of the ebon realms, a villainess from Rich Carrington and Brian Dawson's comic Mahoney's

@shelbydelrey - Isa was one of the first writers for Peaky Blinder's content that caught my eye when I made my return to Tumblr. Writing mostly for Tommy Shelby and some for Alfie, she immerses you into Small Heath and the Peaky world, making you forget you're actually reading. I highly suggest you check out Isa and give her a follow.

@georgiapeach30513 - Jennifer has an expansive collection of series and one-shots for us readers to choose from on her masterlist. Currently, I'm most excited about reading her series A Losing Hand, which is a Mafia AU. Jennifer's casting of it looks spectacular for it as it has various Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan characters as well as other Marvel and actors alike.

@runnning-outof-time - K writes for Peaky Blinders and does a wonderful job at it. I love their blog after being back for a short amount of time, and I know I’ll be looking forward to what they post in the future
