Are there any symbols used to indicate allyship to the Jewish community by non Jews that any of you can think of? That wouldn't imply the person using the symbol is themselves Jewish?
I've been trying to research this question. It looks like some people have used blue squares, but I'm not totally sure how to best use that to indicate support outside of digital spaces. Most other symbols of solidarity seem to be internal to the Jewish community.
I think the fact that most of the symbols that are used to stand against antisemitism are internal to the Jewish community speaks to a failure on the part of non-Jewish people to organize as allies in ways comparable to other movements. Have there been large movements of non-Jewish allyship before?

Ur a jew but support genocide? Ur grandparents should've gone to the gas Chambers.
First you claim in gaza there is Genocide but also claim its overpopulated in the same time, second saying that my grandparents should've have gone to the gas chambers is just straight up trying to be edgy let alone the fact that Holocaust WAS mass genocide and you encouraged to commit the acts performed there IS supporting genocide yourself.
Besides wtf you think that sending me death threats is gonna do? Its not gonna stop the war, its not gonna "free Palestine", its not gonna stop the IDF from doing their job.

Hey friends!
Yiddishland California is a cultural center and museum that puts on excellent classes and events, including Yiddish Theater classes, Intermediate Yiddish reading circles, and even beginner's Yiddish yoga! They are committed to keeping the wonderful and vibrant language alive, including the culture and community that surrounds the language.
They are in trouble! There was some sort of issue with being able to stay in their location, so they need to raise $100k by the end of the month to stay open!
Please join me in donating (Here). I gave my tzedakah this month to them, and I hope you do too!
If you're in the Southern California area, they're having a relocation party on January 21st, 2024 from 5-8pm. Come visit to see great art and support such a great organization!!
For the rest of us that can't get down to California and want to support not just by donating, please consider buying something from their Etsy shop! They have a bunch of rare books and vinyl and your purchase will help the organization!

Question do I need to make sure my weed is kosher for Passover? Like do I connect my guy and request it something? Do I have to buy new or can I use left over and if I can eat Legume and my friends doesn't, does it matter? can I still share?

I know a lot of you criminals are on here. In light of the icc ruling: A note to you all, even those not directly involved with the genocide. Your time will come. Shalom.

Watched Dungeon Meshi. LOVED IT. But ever since watching it a question has been eating my brain:
Tumblr media
Would a basilisk be considered KOSHER?
On one hand, it has a body of a chicken. Which is kosher. On the other, it has the tail of a snake, which isn't. If we cut off the snake part, will the chicken part be considered okay to eat? Or because they body and therefore the same blood circulation, the chicken's blood is tainted with the snake's blood? Or is it vice versa and it's the snake that has chicken blood? Is the chicken considered a bird of pray because of the snake part, rendering it non kosher? I swear to god I am THIS close to calling up a rabbi to ask this. Please help.

Last semester one of my law school TAs kept coming to class in a kaffiah. Cultural appropriation aside, there were two Israelis in the class, including me. This was inappropriate and disrespectful. So for every time he came to class in the kaffiah i donated money to the IDF in his name and made sure he knew i did 😘😘

ive been thinking about whether to post about this or not but i think that the first step to healing is to acknowledge theres a problem and the second is to accept it.
so i just want to tell all of my Jewish friends, and the ones who aren't yet still were hurt on oct 7th that i hear you, i see you and i love you. i feel your pain and i know it must be really hard for you all today, just like for me.
make sure to take care of yourself today, dont neglect your needs just because you are in pain. its good to mourn the ones we lost, and its ok to feel sad and angry emotions because we still didnt get our friends and family back from captivity. just please make sure you arent making your suffering worse by worsening your health ♡
please take care, and remember that we all love you and care for you.
