2023 had a lot of joys and grief for me.
One of my biggest highlights was a solo trip to London, England and seeing the Arctic Monkeys twice in concert. I made new friends through this fandom. Got two new tattoos. Tried jollof rice for the first time. I'm always dancing so that's nothing new but I had really good laughs with friends and family (the ones that make you feel like you'll have a six pack after cause you've laughed so hard). I fixed up an old turntable by myself using YouTube tutorials which was a cool project. Deciding to travel and prioritize myself while two of my family members were ill was a really big, tough decision but I'm glad I did it. I learned how to make Caribbean dishes which was really important to me and a way to preserve my heritage and my grandma's legacy. I also baked some really amazing things from my favourite cookbook. I stopped biting my nails which is a big achievement for me but overall, I just had really good moments with friends and family but especially myself in 2023.

arthur loved the summertime for all the usual reasons. plentiful herbs for plucking, easy game that became slow and fat from the plentiful food, sitting among sweetgrass with his face turned towards the sun.
but after meeting you, he had found even more reasons to count down the days until summer bled over the land. and to his boyish shame, not all of them were wholesome.
the arrival of the cherries marked the very start of the golden days. he’d buy them from some farm-stand on his way back to you — deep red and ripe with sweetness — and surprise you with them. your gasp of delight pulsed his blood with pride. you’d eat them together and talk about whatever came to mind (it was easy between you guys) on the edge of camp. he’d be staring at your lips too often to think of any clever response. they were stained with juice and bruised as if kissed. when you gave in to his teasing, your tongue tasted like wine.
then, of course, the flowers. flowers tucked in your hair, flowers you pressed for him to keep in his journal, flowers that perfume your clothes after hours of laying in a meadow. there was a blessed time of year when you’d brush past him and carry with you the scent of lilac with a hint of creeping thyme. when you slept beside him the scent lulled him to sleep.
the beckoning reflection of lakes and rivers prompted days of swimming naked in the water. these were the days that arthur allowed himself surrender to the burning desire of manhood and take you over and over. those days were warm skin wet by water and tongue. those days were teasing laughter and the song of citrus fruit.
each summer that had passed with you had felt deeper than the last — more vivid and thick with color and song. it was if you were the fountain of youth embodied in spirit and love with the way you managed to drag him up from the wariness that comes with passing time.
each summer, you’d help him come back alive.

Do you think Emmrich keeps a little notebook. Do you think when he was an uncertain young boy, terrified of the dark and the gloom and the inescapable inevitability of death being so very in front of him so shortly after a devastating loss, he needed an outlet? And perhaps an older, kinder Mourn Watch member who themselves did not choose their path but rather stumbled upon it gave the gangly youth before them a small collection of pages to work through his racing thoughts in?
I'm picturing clumsy doodles of flowers from graveyards that as one flips through the years of journals kept neatly on a personal bookshelf turn into masterful sketches worthy of publication in a scientific journal. Rough strokes with lots of pressure behind them, intent on getting the repeatedly written rituals correct so that he no longer has to reference a cheat sheet. Maybe even a list of names, pages upon pages worth crossed out until at last, underlined so strongly the pen tore through paper, we find the name Manfred.
And I like to think that he goes through at least a journal and a half while getting to speak with so many companions from so many parts of the world he has previously never dreamed of traveling to himself, not when there's so much to be done at home. Recipes are scrawled out in Bellara's and Lucanis' handwriting and pasted into the back. There are attempts at drawing the anatomy of Assan, a list of what snacks Halla like best courtesy of Davrin. Even a carefully curated, bullet-pointed selection of topics that seem to work best when trying to get Taash to let down their guard. And of course, a cross-sectioned diagram of the Yam-And-Jam-Slam.
And then, permit me if you will, the opportunity to ruminate on human Emmrich, on a day yet to pass, in which a romanced Rook that never violated their love's privacy finally feels brave enough to go through some of his untouched belongings to see what they want to keep, and finding such lovely records of their first months together. And despite the ache in their chest and the tightness in their throat, they don't stop at the first sign of something more, a little scribbled observation about how much sadness this Rook has in their eyes for someone so new to the field. And then they find the portraits, the loving detail put into the light of the fade reflecting off their cheekbones, their eyes. The carefully crafted notes on what sort of jewelry might do them justice, small scenes of a man, his beloved, and a skeleton strolling across sandy beaches, through shadowed forests, across snowy mountain peaks and through bustling city streets. Until they blink, wipe the tears from their eyes, reach the end of the last journal in what feels like mere minutes (but in all reality is probably something closer to hours).
The handwriting is less structured, the pen doesn't press quite so insistently as it once did. But the sentiment, the sincerity, of the final entry could only be his.
Death is not so frightening knowing how fiercely I have lived. Nothing it could take is greater than all I have been given.

Hi babes! Hope you're all having a great day. Now, I want to share with you tips that will help you FEEL that fresh start of the new year.
Digital cleanse. Cleanse your phone, delete unwanted pictures, screenshots, videos, documents, games, apps ESPECIALLY shopping apps. Why so? Well, let me tell you. You don't need your phone constantly buzzing with sales on stuff you already have or don't need. Those apps convince you that you need this and that when, in reality, you don't. You'll just end up wasting time and money.
Physical cleanse. You might be wondering what that is. For me, physical cleansing is simply taking a shower (could be a simple shower or an everything shower) and drinking green tea. Green tea helps with digestion, cleanses your stomach, and even boosts your brain health. You can drink whatever drink that is actually beneficial (ginger shots, lemon water, mint tea, etc).
Wardrobe. Declutter your wardrobe. You can donate some, resell some or even reuse (to clean, for example). Clothes are fabrics and fabrics are meant to have more than one use. Just get rid of clothes that you don't wear anymore or that don't fit you (size, style..)
Unsubscribe and unfollow. YouTube, tiktok, instagram.. just unfollow. You've grown out of phases, embrace that and unfollow people that resonate with the old you (who you love, but simply don't relate to anymore).
Rearrange. For me that's for my gallery, pinterest, and spotify. For my gallery, after I delete unwanted pictures, I create new folders for the ones I kept. For pinterest, I archive my old boards ('24 vision boards), create new ones, and update old vision boards. For spotify, I delete playlists I don't listen to anymore, unfollow artists and create new playlists.
Notion! I've been a notion user and lover for the past 5 years now and it's my planner, diary, journal and literally everything. Open a blank page and build it however you like, or choose a nice template and play around with it till satisfaction. Create a "reflection" section where you write about the past year and what you loved, hated, learned, etc.
Write down who you want to become. What is she doing, what does she love, what does she look like, what's her personality like, how she spends her day, what are her hobbies, what are her ambitions, etc. And may your visualization come true.

A cold and reserved young man who is reticent about his past. To avoid his kin, he decided to travel with the Astral Express. Dan Heng's true form from his Vidyadhara lineage carries the residual power left behind by his past incarnation, the Imbibitor Lunae. Upon accepting the majestic horns atop his crown, he must accept all the merits and faults attributed to that sinner.
During their appearance at twst for the first chapter, Dan heng!yuu hide their lineage as well not revealing their true lineage to anyone.
They try not to stand out a lot, only staying at the back and observing the situation but not attending to the problem and will intervene in case it gets out of hand.
But during chapter 2, they use their imbibitor lunae form to defeat overblot Leona, after the fight was over before anyone can react to Dan heng!yuu has already left the area. But many students have already witnessed their true form so there's no point in hiding it.
Dan heng!yuu continue to not show up to school for a few days until Crowley asks them to return back to school, they decide to avoid the first years due to being scared of their judgement.
They will still continue to wear their human form even though their identity was revealed to the public, they become the popular topic of gossip but grim is there to protect them from it.
Most of the time, dan heng! Yuu will be in the library reading and managing the books Crowley gave them an official job as the librarian of the school.
After their secret was revealed many students started to treat them like royalty which is something Dan heng!yuu isn't very fond of it because they wish to be treated the same. Even Crowley started less annoying because of this.
Lilia originally had a hinge about dang heng!yuu being more than what they appear but turns out it was true and was happy to finally find another dragon for malleus to play with. So when Dan heng!yuu was in the library Lilia approached them inviting them to a tea party that was hosting malleus and Dan heng! Yuu to meet.
At first ace and deuce started to ask questions about them because they were upset about them hiding their lineage but soon let it go and they accepted Dan heng!yuu.
Dan heng!yuu sometimes meditate in the forest behind the ramshackle and was spotted by rook who was hunting, and for the next hour rook admired Dan heng!yuu imbibitor lunae form. And they soon became one of rooks muses.
Another thing is that Dan heng!yuu sometimes visit the ignihyde dorm for peace and quiet since sometime NRC can be quite hand full.
Sebek admired or hated Dan heng!yuu, he admired them being a part of a noble prestigious dragon blood line but saw them hiding their true lineage as a sign of being ashamed as well as someone that is threatening malleus position.
Malleus on the other hand was happy that another dragon had a drop of NRC, he and Dan heng!yuu would discuss a lot of topics together. As well as him being interested in Dan heng!yuu lineage.
Sometimes, Lilia would invite Dan heng!yuu on a spar or training day and will ask them to spar with sebek or silver as well asking them to teach them some pole arm tricks.
They often take long walks at night, enjoying the serenity of the moonlight and the stars. Sometimes, Malleus or Silver joins them for these reflective moments.
Dan heng Yuu carry a personal journal where they sketch or write down their thoughts, though they guard it fiercely. This journal contained notes as well for school and work as a personal diary for Dan heng!Yuu to write everyday.
Their voice is soothing, and many students find themselves unintentionally relaxing when Dan heng Yuu speaks, even during stressful situations.
Leona originally saw them as a small fry but after chapter two and their secret was revealed, Leona held a disdain over Dan heng!yuu due to them being the one that defeats them and they remind him of malleus.
Dan heng!Yuu is very talented of cloudhymn magic, they have the ability to control and create water at a large scale being able to control the entire ocean. This magic as well is a noble dragon and they have become one of Azul targets.
Azul after the reveal has been trying to rope them to a contract but Dan heng!yuu is very much sharp and is not easily fooled by his schemes and is able to see through it. As well being one of jade and floyd entertainment sources wanting to get a reaction from them.

It was a quiet Christmas, one that you've been looking forward too since it meant that you got to spend with one of the most special people in your lives.
One James Buchanan Barnes
You were nervous, but it was a good kind of nervous. You had put a lot of thought into his gift, something that would reflect the side of him he rarely showed to the world. You knew how much he struggled with the holidays—how his past often overshadowed any moments of joy—but you hoped, just maybe, this Christmas would be different.
As you sat on the couch in the apartment you shared with the man you had glanced at the small box resting in your lap, wrapped in simple but elegant paper, a soft green ribbon tied neatly around it. Ace, your Siberian Husky, laid at your feet, his tail wagging slightly as he watched Bucky enter the room.
Bucky stood in the doorway for a moment, looking around the cozy room, his lips twitching lightly from how you decorated it. It brought him some semblance of peace.
Your eyes lit up the moment you saw him, your smile so wide it almost made the room feel warmer. “Go on, open it,” you said eagerly, holding the small box out to him. You were practically vibrating from excitement.
Bucky hesitated for a brief moment. He wasn’t great at receiving gifts,he’d never really had many over the years—but the way you looked at him, so excited and full of hope, made him soften. He took the box carefully, his fingers brushing yours for just a second before he began unwrapping it.
“You really didn’t have to get me anything,” Bucky said, his voice low but appreciative.
“I wanted too, you mean a lot to me Bucky."you replied, your eyes not leaving him for a second. “It’s… it’s something I thought you’d like.”
Bucky removed the paper, revealing a small, handmade leather journal. The cover was dark brown, worn-in, with an intricate design of a wolf etched into it—something he would never have bought for himself, but it was so fitting. He opened it carefully, running his fingers over the pages. Inside, you had written a small note in the front:
“For the memories you’ve yet to make. I hope you find peace in the pages, Bucky. Merry Christmas.”
He blinked, feeling an unfamiliar warmth spread through him. He wasn’t one for sentimentality, but this… this was different. This wasn’t just a gift. It was an understanding, an acknowledgment of everything he’d been through, and everything he was trying to move past.
“It’s… perfect,” Bucky said quietly, his voice thick with emotion. “Thank you.”
Your smile widened even more, your heart swelling at the sight of his reaction. You had known how much Bucky struggled with his past, and you hoped this would be a way for him to channel his thoughts, to find a way to put some of the darkness behind him.
A small chuckle leaving his lips as his fingers ran over the leather as he then glanced up at you, a hint of vulnerability flickering in his eyes. “I haven’t really thought about doing that before.”
“Well, it’s never too late,” you replied, your tone light but filled with an unspoken understanding.
Bucky took a deep breath, then gave you a soft but genuine smile. “I’ll try.” Shaking his head he moved to sit next to you as his lips brushed the side of your head.
The two of you sitting together on the couch, Ace curling up at your feet. There was a comfortable silence between them now, one that didn’t feel heavy with unspoken words, but rather peaceful and full of hope.
You lent your head against Bucky’s shoulder, your voice soft, “I’m glad we’re spending Christmas together.”
Bucky’s arm instinctively found its way around you, pulling you closer. He didn’t have much when it came to family, but with you, he felt a sense of belonging—a connection he hadn’t experienced in a long time.
“Me too,” he replied quietly. And for the first time in a long while, he let himself believe it.
Because for the first time in a long time he felt truly happy.

YOUR RE-SET PART 2
Part one is here for reference.
Once you start removing all the shit from your life, they’ll be an empty space. You might not like this, but it really is an opportunity to start planting the seeds of your dreams, creating your dream life. Part 1 was clearing your garden, preparing the soil. Part 2, is actually planting the seeds. You've removed the weeds in your life, you’ve distanced yourself from the friends who bitch and moan, you also decided to create some space from the toxic relatives that remind you of the shame, and traumas from childhood. You started a little meditation and journalling practise, eating a little better, thinking kinder thoughts… but this is where you really start creating a magical life. This is your moment, no distractions, you are truly re-rewriting the script of your life. 
See it as a cross roads. Do you choose to go back to what you know, or do you spend the next four months of this year taking serious actions to become who you were destined to be? 
So how do you bring the vision boards to life? How do you truly re-set so that you finally shed the old skin of your past and become who you were designed to be?
1 - You need a vision. This needs to inspire and motivate you, so trade in one of your Netflix shows, or social media binges to create your vision. Screenshot images from Pinterest or wherever, add them into a keynote on your laptop, or use Canva, however you make your vision board let it be your absolute wildest dreams. If it's living in one of those houses from Architect Digest magazine in the middle of Norway, go find those images. If its being a badass CEO who makes eight figures, find an image that represents that. Add activities what your day is like, fashion inspo, locations, events, whatever you want your life to look like go create the vision. And make sure it inspires you. You want to feel that little fire in your belly when you look at it, if it’s not giving that energy, keep working on it till it does. Its really important you remind your self of this vision with affirmations as you look at it, ‘I am’, ‘I feel’, ‘I love’ use these power statements as you speak life as you go through each image e.g ‘I am living in my beautiful home on the coast of Spain, it feels so peaceful to wake up to the sunrise and hear the crashing waves as I look out from my balcony, I am so in love with my home, its represents who I truly am, I love my coffee table books (list them out).' Go on a rampage as you speak life into your vision board (do this as a consistent practise daily or weekly).
2 - Part of your re-set is looking the part. You will have a vision completely unique to you of what the dream version for you looks like, smells like, walks like, dresses like. Your goal is to get crystal clear on this and BRING HER TO LIFE. This will be done in steps, but literally start figuring out what you need to do in order to look the part. This might involve a different hair style. If you always dreamed of long hair but your hair is textured - go get a weave or hair extensions, if you are obsessed with those lamination brows and lashes, go figure out how you can look and feel as your dream girl. Stop using money as an excuse, if your hair is too expensive, find someone more affordable, or do it at home. If you can’t afford designers but see yourself living that life go buy a replica and FEEL the part until you can get there. This is about you looking and feeling like your best self, and it might seem unimportant but how you look affects how you feel and that physical glow up adds LEVELS of confidence to a woman. So start moving away from what you know, have known and step into your truth. Let go of the shame from family, friends. Stop living in their shadows, hiding from their opinions and judgements. This is your moment. 
3 - Create a routine of greatness. What does your day need to involve for you to show up as your best self? As you reflect you’ll see there are things that work and things that absolutely don’t work in your life and now is your moment is to start adjusting. This is for food, exercise, keeping your home clean, keeping organised. This is also about knowing yourself. For example, if you usually walk your dog in the morning but by the time you come home, you don’t have enough time to do your hair and make-up or eat a healthy breakfast - SHUFFLE your morning. This is about making life work for you. Not you working for life, working to survive, rushing everywhere. No, this is about your life, working to suit you best. So take inventory of what is not working and what is and start adapting. Another example. If you want to whiten your teeth and those strips are not working out for you because they feel horrible and you always forget. Go get a whitening powder you can brush on your teeth after you clean them, plus you brush your teeth everyday, so adding an extra step of brushing with the whitening powder at the sink is a much more effective routine that works for you. Do you get the message? Start re-adjusting your routine so there is more flow, and structure aligned with how you want to live.
4 - You need to fucking exercise. It doesn’t matter how you do it. Just make sure you do it. And exercise that is actually consistent and motivates you. This is your confidence booster, your discipline trainer, your toned body enabler, your energy replenisher, your anti-depressants, your anti-anxiety medication, your meditation, your self love. It’s all that and so much more. If you’re new to exercise start small, and progress. Keep those little promises to yourself and if your annoying friends want to see you, only meet them if they join you on a class which allows you to kill two birds with one stone. 
5 - Your passions. Remember those things. The things as a a child that used to bring you joy. Now you have all this free time since you stopped scrolling you can actually remember life before 4 hour binges on tiktok and Netflix. Go grab your skates, your paint brushes, your boombox, your knitting kit, your colouring pencils, your baking materials, your swimming goggles, your library card - whatever the fuck is your passion. GO POUR INTO THAT. Just once a week, even for an hour if that’s all you can manage, but focus on that. This is how you attract more of that positive energy into your life, you connect with your inner child, you soothe her and make her feel so wholesome. 
6 - KEEP REFLECTING, as you continue on this journey to becoming your best self, things will work, you’ll trip up a few times, you’ll learn so much about yourself but it's SO important to keep moving forward. For example if you realised you don’t like your social circle, but noticed you keep judging your friends - you are still swirling in low vibration, because that judgmental inner voice is still keeping you in the gutter. Your daily meditation practise, and reflecting would reveal this to you, and without noticing you are still staying stuck. The purpose of this whole re-set is to elevate yourself, your life and start living your dreams. So daily, weekly, as often as you can. Reflect. This worked, this didn’t, this is what I can do better next time, become your own fucking guru. Know thy self. Keep moving forward. Keep checking yourself.
...And remember know one gives a fuck about this journey you’re on, no one is rooting for you, no one cares if you literally remain the same person you’ve always been. This is truly on you. This is your opportunity to take major leap. To quit being the person who feels like she deserves a better life, who wants more. Now you get to actually BE more, live more. This is a transition. You’re moving out of the old shadows and into the light. This is your moment for change, so embrace it. Live it and keep pushing forward.

Cinder: *still looking at her own reflection in the mirror* How? His semblance is supposed to be Aura amplification! How did he?
The door of her cell open
Jaune: *seeing her looking at the mirror* Still wondering about my little magic trick?
Cinder: *turning around to face him, almost growling* What do you want, Arc?
Jaune: *shaking his head, putting a journal on the bed alongside some books* Giving you a taste of the outside? You know, the one you almost destroyed?
Cinder: *angry* Because you honestly think i had a choice!?
Jaune: *rolling his eyes* Yes. Many times in fact. In fact, every time i fought you after i came back from the ever after, i gave you a chance.
Cinder: Ah! As if you would have let me live!
Jaune: ... *Sigh* Cinder, i don't think you understand what i lived through. How long i lived through it. *Sitting on a chair next to the bed* I stopped hating you a long, very long time ago.
Cinder: Stop lying, we both know you want me dead.
Jaune: *nod* I do want you dead, yes. I want you dead, because that's what you deserve. It's a fact, a truth. *Pause for a moment, seeming to think about his words* You are alone, Cinder. Nobody wants you and nobody will ever want you. I could give you your old beauty, it wouldn't even matter. And honestly? *Lean forward* I find that infinitely sad.
Cinder: *surprised* What's that supposed to mean?
Jaune: *lean back* Exactly what i'm saying. You are a remnant of the past, a past everyone is now trying to forget and move on from. *Points to his head* Everyone will forget about you. *Chuckle* Well, everyone but me.
Cinder: Tsk... *Goes to sit on the other chair* Can you tell me how you did it?
Jaune: *feigning ignorance* Hm? Did what?
Cinder: *angry muttering* You know damn well what I'm talking about... *Sigh* How did you bring back my eye?
Jaune: *smirking* The ever after was a prison, yes. *Wave his hand, making a ball of light which turned into a kaleidoscope of colors* And a great place to learn and harvest magic. *Taking a pensive look* When i think about it, it's a good thing you didn't fall back then. Or we probably would have been all doomed.
Cinder: ... That's it? Magic? That's the explanation?
Jaune: *scratching his beard* The short answer? Yes. The long answer is that i used the memory your own soul has of your body. Your body may change, but your aura, your soul doesn't. *Waving off* I could have used my semblance, but instead of being instantaneous, it would have taken a week... Oh and you would have suffered all the way through.
Cinder: Then why give it back?
Jaune: *shrug* You kick puppies for fun, i heal them. Nothing more, nothing less.
Cinder: ... I never hurt animals.
Jaune: Not.... The point i was trying to make, but a nice tidbit to know about you. Other than your casualties counts and your hatred of Atlas, it's not like i know a lot about you.
Cinder: *angry* That place deserved to burn!
Jaune: Maybe. Atlas was a corrupted den of nepotism, but i don't think the common folks deserved to die.
Cinder: *bark a single laugh# Ah! As if your team didn't bring its share of destruction to the place! Remember Ironwood? THAT wasn't me.
Jaune: *sigh* Oh don't worry, i know that too well. But i can't blame a bunch of kids for making bad calls. Hell, the adults were as dumb as us.
Cinder: *chuckle* At least you can see your own mistakes.
Jaune: I had time to learn from them.
Cinder: ... Since you are going to be my jailer for the foreseeable future... How long exactly did you stay in the ever after? Or whatever that place's called.
Jaune: *seeming to think about the question* Well, the gods were already gone from the place, but it was before humanity's downfall. Take the fact time goes faster in the ever after.... Maybe centuries? Though i'd say a millennium would be accurate-
Cinder: *surprised, getting up of the chair* I THOUGHT YOU WERE TRAPPED 20 YEARS!?
Jaune: Hm? Oh yeah, when team RWBY arrived, my body was probably in its forty. I age incredibly slowly, but i still do age.
Cinder: *completely bewildered, sit back down* Wow... I... I never expected that! How did you stay sane?
Jaune: ... I didn't? I mean, I spent the last 50 years of my life there saving the same village over and over again. Day after day... I don't hear voices, if you were wondering. But i lost a good part of myself there. In a way, the Jaune you knew died a long time ago, only leaving a rusted husk at his place. One that was repaired, yes, but can never be the same.
Cinder: *sigh* Great, then i guess i'll turn mad before seeing the bright sky again.
Jaune: *taking his scroll out* With good conduct and if you seem repented enough, you'll probably be out in a little hundred years. Beside, you will have interaction with the outside. Books, journal and whatnot. Oh, and me, of course. And for the sky part, you get 6 hours of free time, it's not like you can't go in the courtyard during that time.
Cinder: *silent for a moment* Why did you choose to be my jailor? Instead of letting someone else do it?
Jaune: *Thinking over the question* Hm... Because i can? Because if i can at least change you, make you a better person, maybe then my friends death won't have been in vain? Because i know what being alone feels like and even if i hate you, i wouldn't wish that to anyone? Maybe... Maybe i just want to help a child who never knew better? *Shrug* Who knows?
Cinder: ...
Jaune: *get up, walking to the door* You are alone outside those walls... But, as long as you will be here, i won't let you go. Even if we both hate each other, i'll always be there for you when you need it.*smile* I'm still the Rusted Knight after all. *Leave, closing the door*
Cinder: *Sigh* You should have been here for me a long time ago then... When i still believed in him. *Looking at the books, one in particular picking her attention, an old book with burned marks on it* That book... *She picks it up, turns a page and sees her own signature* ... *Tears form in her eyes, as she begins reading The girl who fell through the world, like she used to*

Here, I am your Mother Goddess, offering you some advice for your healing journey and your current stage of life. First, I want you to focus on positive things. Sometimes we lose track of the good, but it’s important to recognize the positives each day. I encourage you to write down or verbally affirm three positive things each day, even if it’s just speaking them to yourself in the mirror. One of those positive things should be about you—how you look, how you act, and appreciating yourself. You need to learn to appreciate and affirm yourself. This will help you stay positive and, more importantly, build confidence. Self-acceptance is essential for you right now.
I also want you to stop being so impulsive and spontaneous. While those traits can be exciting, I believe this is a time for you to slow down and create a plan of action. Instead of constantly getting caught up in your feelings, always feeling the need to defend yourself or speak up, and getting into altercations with people who don’t think like you—let it go. This is the time to release so much: old habits that no longer serve you, outdated beliefs about what success is, and what you believe is good for you. It’s time to adopt new, positive beliefs rooted in femininity, love, nurturance, art, and creativity. You need to become more fluid, allowing yourself to enjoy life more and embrace the fruits of your labor.
Take your self-care to the next level. Really invest in a solid routine that focuses on nurturing yourself. Change your environment if necessary. If your room or house feels stale, change it. If you’re wearing the same clothes, switch it up. You need change. Let go of all the things you’ve been holding on to, believing you needed them. A key area is your self-care routine. ‘It was currently 5am. I’m writing this passage on the 4th January, the anniversary of my girlfriend’s death. I still remember the night. The sound of her heaves, gasps for air. Blood stained my royal blue shirt, bloody fingerprints scattered all around my shoulder as she was grabbing onto me to gather a couple more seconds of her life.
I really don’t know why i’m writing this. I suppose it’s to keep her alive. The memory of her alive. She used to do this , described it as a “great way to uncover your feelings”. I used to think it was bullshit.
Clearly i was wrong.
She always had a way with emotions. Always made me feel at peace even with my conflicting thoughts and feelings that were within me. My traumatic past looming over me and exposing himself through my actions, speech, everything. Yet, she never judged me. That picture of an “assassin” was never pinned onto me while i was with her. To her, i was Armando.
Una persona real.
I just wish she could come back. I miss you.

Armando closed the journal and slid it back in his desk drawer, twisting the key to secure it being locked before putting it back in his denim pocket. A sentimental journal full of his feelings, of course it could not be found by a regular person.
Walking over to his double bed, the dim light of the lamp that was etched on the pillar next to his bedside table, illuminated that corner of the room. He looked up towards his tv, scrolling through the list of programmes to get his mind off things. Yet, nothing caught his eye. The horror movies just reminded him of when you constantly told him to turn it off, or when you used to snuggle your head into his shoulder in an attempt to hide from the jumpscares.
The romance movies where the woman and male lead confess their love to each other in a cheesy way. The same programmes you used to love. The same programmes you used to force him into watching with a candle lit on the table, eating your favourite takeout. A vanilla fragrance shifting through Armando’s nostrils as you wore that perfume he got you as a random gift. Vanilla jasmine.
His favourite smell on you.
Your pearly white teeth lit up the room as you exclaimed while giving him the gift. Your soft fingertips wrapping around Armando’s neck as you jumped upon him to show your appreciation.
He could feel himself smiling at the memories of you. Back when everything was okay.
“Hazte con el control Armando. Tienes que dejarla ir.”
Sighing, Armando got up and turned towards the bedroom door before pottering down the stairs. Slipping his black airforces on he trailed to the front door before turning the key and opening it. The coldness of the fresh air slowly hit him as he stepped outside, not before checking his surroundings and locking the door. “Tsk. Habits.”
Walking down the street, the sun slowly peeked above the skyline. Neither illuminating the whole sky, yet it not being completely dark either. Armando walked through the convenience store, the bell dinging at his presence. Scanning through the stalls, he grabs blue sour candy and some protein bars before standing behind a woman at the till.
Her hair was chestnut brown, with loose curls falling delicately at the brown-skinned girls shoulders. A freckle was dotted along the back of her neck before slowly crawling past her ears and down to her top clavicles. Armando’s eyebrows raised slightly at the similar resemblance to his dead partner.
As the woman turned her face in order to exit the store, a glimpse of her profile was shown to the latino whose eyes widened.
“There’s no way..”
The recognition of the males husky voice, caused the woman to quickly turn around to face him. Her mouth agape in shock.
“Pensé que estabas muerto.”
Her brown eyes quickly filled with tears as her hands trembled, dropping the plastic bag filled with groceries. “Armando..”
Armando’s hands reached out towards hers in awe, his face scrunched up in an attempt to distinguish reality and a dream. “You owe me an explanation.”
“I was scared.. I cant.”
“Aquí no. My place.
A sigh erupted from the brown-skinned girls who slowly crouched to pick back up the bag that was discarded on the floor.
A bell was heard dinging and the two were gone.
