Arkham Knight Edition

Jason gets thrown into an alternate universe and finds his younger self being tortured in the asylum.

Things get… a little blurry after that.

When Jason comes back to himself he’s got a shaking kid clinging to him and a worrying amount of Joker parts strewn all over the floor, walls, and ceiling.

Seems like it’s going to be one of those days…

where's that one post about how it's extreme mode to headcanon a character as aroace when they're part of a really popular ship....so true. especially when you headcanon both characters in the ship as aroace

#me blacklisting the ship tags because both joker and akechi are aroace to me...#yeah i know i could still ship them queerplatonically or whatever but...no #joker is non-partnering to me. i don't think he cares about that stuff #i could see akechi maybe being more into romance or relationships....but not with joker #also i'm still halfway through the game but it seems more like they both distrust each other and are trying to manipulate each other #to get information from each other. any 'affection' is a ruse to try and trick the other person into letting their guard down #they're both too smart to trust each other #at least that's my interpretation.#i don't have anything against people who ship them btw. this is just my unpopular aspec opinion #persona 5 #aroace #aromantic #asexual

It is quite frankly CRIMINAL that more Batman media does not feature Amusement Mile it is the most scrumptious part of Gotham.

Not to mention, it’s a great mirror of Wayne Manor imo, especially when their positioned at opposite sides of the city. The contrasting colours of Joker and Batman, Joker in the dishevelled amusement park on an old wharf, Bruce in his mansion.

While I do enjoy Joker not having a “base”, I just love the aesthetic of Amusement Mile and I think it charges a lot more of the clown aspects of Joker that I feel get forgotten in recent depictions (except for the obvious ones ofc).

In the spirit of that holiday whose purpose is to exhort as much as you can out of strangers, yes.

The doorbell rang.

"Trick or treat!"

"And what are you guys supposed to be?" Jason drawled, looking at three definitely-not-children. Past ten o'clock, the only ones still out were teenagers, determined to eke out every last bit of candy they could.

"The Three Musketeers," one proclaimed, waving a cardboard tube and pointed to the mustache he'd drawn on. Jason rolled his eyes at the lack of effort, but dropped candy in their pillowcases anyway.

"Hey, man, is that all?" another one said, injured.

Jason narrowed his eyes. He was dressed in his usual Red Hood getup, since that he could pass it off as a costume, and he shifted to bring the full weight of the intimidating getup to bear. "You wanted more candy, you should've put more effort."

The kid looked like he was going to keep complaining, but one of his companions grabbed his arm and tugged him towards the stairs. At least someone had sense.

Jason plopped the near empty bowl back on the keystand and stretched. He had candy left for a couple more people and then he was going to turn his lights off. He still had to run patrol tonight.

The doorbell rang.

"Trick or treat!"

This time, it was a group of preteens, all of them giggling at his costume, and they were dressed up as various Bats so Jason had to draw them into a mock duel to defend his reputation. When Batgirl, Black Bat, and Spoiler had defeated him, he let them have their spoils.

"Time to call it a night, then," he mused, setting the empty bowl back in the kitchen. He double checked his gear and headed for the window.

The doorbell rang.

Jason growled. The lights-on system had to be respected goddammit, and he stomped his way to the door, intending to tell whoever was there to get lost--

Death-pale skin. Green hair. And a bright-red smile.

"Treat," the Joker grinned, "or trick."
