it’s shadow joker but technically it’s arsène if he was a shadow (as you can see from me basically copying his outfit lol)
its a design for an idea i have for joker’s palace, see this post if you’re interested!
it’s important that you know he is wearing pointed high heeled boots
“yet his accent is hypnotic but his shoes are pointy-toed”
“gay or european?”
arsène is french so that means he’s both🇫🇷🏳️‍🌈
here’s the reel i made to please the instagram algorithm as well lol?

Note
So I just now learned about a Shuake take where Joker is the yandere and Akechi is the darling (this takes place in Maruki's reality) and
If this love - Akiren telling Akechi "We're taking the offer"
Won't come true - Akechi looking utterly betrayed and heartbroken as the Justice card shatters into pieces
That means I can never wake up - Joker sleeping in the Cafe LeBlanc attic, surrounded by cobwebs
... I may have listened to Mousou Express one too many times
:'))) yall just wanna see me crying huh

Something a lot of people mistakenly believe is that Akechi enjoys the work he does for Shido and that he takes the orders to kill without any resentment or regret. These text messages shed some light on the way he thinks and show that this is not actually the case. Unfortunately, these texts are entirely missable if you finish the treasure route to Sae's Palace too early. As a result, this crucial characterization is often overlooked and people take what they know about characters like Persona 4's culprit and Persona 3's traitor and assume that Akechi is playing it straight.
Tumblr media
But even without these obscure texts, it's not like the game is subtle about this. Akechi's lack of freedom and agency is a recurring aspect of his character that people will often cast aside because it's much easier to boil him down to "crazy serial killer" than actually look at the complexity of his situation and his own victimhood.
Tumblr media
Throughout his Royal confidant, Akechi's perfectly crafted mask cracks several times. Moments like this show him offering an out, even if he's MUCH happier if you don't consider it.
Tumblr media
He doesn't WANT Joker to change. As much as he claims to hate Joker, he admires his convictions. Wishes he had what Joker had. Wishes he could have been more like him. See: the Gun About rank up where he mentions how he used to want to be a hero of justice.
The creepy smiles and shit you see on 11/20 and in parts of the engine room are another mask Akechi wears. Akechi ALWAYS swaps out his masks to best serve his situation. Yet he still tells Shido not to kill the thieves, that Morgana is just a cat, and is perfectly content to leave them alone, and after his fight in the engine room, when the mask literally breaks...
Tumblr media
We see his regrets on full display. He isn't proud. He's done making excuses. All those little times the mask broke in the Royal confidant were ways to set up this moment. He genuinely cares SO much about Joker, but that caring was dangerous to his objectives, so he HAD to hate him. He HAD to want to kill him to achieve his objective, and yet...
Tumblr media
He still cares. He's putting out spikes in third sem, no doubt because he suspects his own fate should they destroy Maruki's world, but...

Quick snippet from 10/26. In case you ever wondered whether Akechi knows Mona talks all along... watch him here, and listen to him. At first he's on script—entirely in control even when he talks about how he was supposedly nearly murdered by himself. It's the same tone he uses on the news. He's gone over this speech a dozen times.
Then Morgana talks, and while Akechi does react, he's still acting. He's still on script, prepared and practiced. The portrait looks shocked, but the model is just standing there, playing detective....
Tumblr media
... until Ann steps in with "our friend who taught us about the Metaverse":
Tumblr media
He jumps back so fast I didn't have time to load the textbox, lol. "What do you MEAN you had a MAGIC CAT GUIDE, the FUCK??"
Of course he knew Mona talks. How does he expose himself, right away on 6/9?—he hears Mona talking about pancakes. He had to be close enough to hear Mona, the cat. So it's not Mona talking that shocks him, but the revelation that Joker and the rest had help, had a guide from the very beginning, when he did not.
And you can hear his voice change register at that moment. That careful, controlled, rehearsed tone goes out of the window. He talks faster, he pitches up, he's breathless, without a script. He is, in short, more real. And he immediately asks Mona a question:
Tumblr media
He really hasn't solved that mystery; he really wants to know. In fact, he has to know—about the difference in their methods and his own, which he just can't figure out....
There's a little of that high-pitched breathiness when he talks about his awakening, too. I'd say that's pretty much how it happened way back when, and he's adapted the story a little. "I can't die here... I need to determine the truth"—of course he did. The same truth that his "sole interest is uncovering"—the truth about Shido and himself.
Tumblr media
What about that image of the killer, standing in the entrance to Okumura's Palace? Well, sometimes people think this is a photo, but it's not—Akechi doesn't produce any more photos, he just continues with his story. So this is presumably what Akechi pictures in his mind at that moment. This is his self-image, God help him:
Tumblr media
Lastly, here's an incredulous Akechi with a bonus Futaba glaring at him. Don't neglect the models—they really repay close examination, and the face animation is often incredibly detailed. And as for whether Akechi is lying or not at any given moment—it's often easier to tell than you think.

“I understand Joker is a very busy man and he has a meal organised soon but will he actually be joining us tonight?” The servant tensed when he was cornered by the Captain of the crew now staying in the palace. Under the intense stare and fear that these unknown pirates could become violent without warning, he shifted uncomfortably out of the added fear that he could say the wrong thing and bring the true terrifying anger of the King down on him. “Well?”
“U-um Joker has um…” The servant stammer out before clearing his throat and controlling his fear. His ruler was more terrifying than any of these men combined and he had to remember that and accomplish his tasks to the same standard as he would any other day. “Seats have been specifically assigned for Joker and the elite officers so he should be attending tonight.” His answer seemed to settle the Captain and with nothing else needed he left, breathing a sigh of relief when he was out of his sight. The Captain however felt new nerves begin to rise.
He would finally learn who Joker was. Given how lavish the palace was he was more and more sure he was just some criminal that got lucky in creating a weapons empire. The only real threat was the power in his name and ‘elite officers’ in his employ. Where it just the two of them alone in a room together he was quietly confident that he could overpower and take Joker out if need be. Still though he and his men were on their best behaviour. Already they had countless ambitious plans in mind for later.
When the weapons were safely loaded into their ships and their hosts were too drunk to intervene they’d take what they could and what wouldn’t be immediately noticed until they were long gone and safely on the seas. Of course they’d dispose of Joker’s men that would be joining them and wait an appropriate amount of time before having word sent of their defeat. Their crew would change their alias and ship name and sell the weapons on. It was the perfect plan and given how relaxed the security was here in Dressrosa, he really had nothing to worry about. Allowing himself to relax the Captain stepped out into the Palace’s grounds and sought out the closest servant to grab him a drink. In what felt like no time at all he was being summoned to the banquet room.
As he walked through the corridor, the rest of his crew slowly began to join him from other corridors until they were all led inside the enormous room already filled with the most delicious smells from the finest looking food awaiting to be served and feasted on. Multiple tables were set up and carefully arranged to make room for all of the guests while servants lined the wall, awaiting to be of assistance. The lower ranking members of the Captain’s crew and the lower ranked subordinates of Joker’s crew took the longer tables to the back of the room to mingle amongst themselves. One table at the top of the room stood out and it was clear no one was to go near it expect the Captain and his right and left hands. One servant led the three men to the ornate table and instructed them to sit. The three were spaced out, most likely to seem as though they were to mingle too but nervously the Captain also felt like this was the perfect way to keep everyone separated and helpless. Trying to keep those paranoid thoughts at bay, he reached for the already poured drink in front of him only to freeze. What if the glass was poisoned?
Thankfully no one was nearby to notice his hesitation and even if they had they had no time to mention it because from outside the banquet hall the sound of footsteps drew closer. Joker’s crew immediately silenced their conversations and rose from their seats. While other pirates fell quiet they remained sitting, watching curiously and waiting. The Captain watched as the banquet room doors opened and one by one people entered, each looking more and more intimidating. They all stopped by their designated seats until only two opposite the Captain remained vacant. Nervously the man licked his lips, wondering why two seats were empty. Vaguely he recalled some of his men mentioning coming across one of Joker’s playthings while they were bathing. Dread filled him then. He remembered the call where Joker mentioned his new lover. Had that been who they meant? His head whipped around in time to see you enter the room.
You walked completely relaxed, gaze lazily sliding over the men sitting at their tables. While you spotted where your three targets were sat you gave no visible indication or reaction to where they would be sitting. As much as Doflamingo had promised the pleasure in killing them would be yours, you didn’t fully trust him to do something and pretend it was just coincidence that they were the ones targeted. When you met Diamante’s stare you smirked slightly, seeing that he was watching you carefully. Doflamingo had most likely asked him to watch for any giveaways that indicated who broke into your room earlier and from the slight annoyance in his eyes you knew he didn’t see anything. Smiling sweetly you stepped to your designated seat and lazily folded your arms on the back of it, settling your gaze firmly on the guest of honour capturing his attention.
The Captain knew he probably shouldn’t ogle you so openly but how could he not? Everything about your appearance demanded attention. Your choice in clothing highlighted your form perfectly and showed just enough skin to catch the eye of others while still leave them wanting to see more. Whoever Joker was, he was a lucky man to have you on his arm and in his bed. Despite how attractive you were, what captured the Captain even more so was your relaxed attitude. Everyone else in Joker’s ranks stood tall and almost tense, waiting for his arrival, but you? You were completely at ease even when Joker’s purposeful steps began to approach. Everything told the Captain to at least turn his head and finally have his curiosity answered about the identity of the man he was scamming now but he didn’t want to look away from the force of your stare. Slowly he swallowed hard when your lips curved slightly into a playful smile and he heard his own crew begin to mutter and whisper as they tried to make out Joker’s face.
Then the ripple of shock and fear washed through the banquet hall when Doflamingo came into view, the feeling so visceral that the Captain shuddered without even seeing who it was that was drawing near. Then in what felt like a blink he made out the shape of someone standing next to you and finally you turned your head and seemed to break him from his spell. The Captain looked and froze completely to see the grinning face of Doflamingo Donquixote. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he had made Doflamingo one of the targets of his scams. Had he known, he never would have done it. Fear gripped him as he now realised he and his men were trapped in the Warlord’s base, his entire island. They were screwed. There was no way they were getting out of this. Unless…had they done enough to keep the man fooled? If they saw the scam through to the end could they make it back to their ship safely. “Do-doflamingo, sir! I-it’s an honour! O-or would you still prefer I call you Joker?”
“Either’s fine.” Doflamingo grinned, the frightened expression he was witness to was perfect and there was still so much more fun to come. “We’re all allies here.”
“Aww poor man’s terrified.” Your cheerful voice broke the tension as you, Doflamingo and the rest of the family slid into your seats. The Captain glanced at you, finding it easier to breath when he wasn’t looking at the man in charge. “Just relax. You’ll feel better once you’ve had a drink.” The Captain glanced at the untouched drink still in his hand and his previous paranoia came back. What if this banquet was truly a final meal? Was it all poison? As if reading his thoughts your laugh drifted up. The Captain all but flinched when you rose slightly in your seat and leant across the table to settle your hand on his to softly coax the glass out of his trembling grip. His eyes widened while you took a sip. You set the glass back into his hand and sat back in your seat while licking the stray droplet of alcohol from your lip. “See? Harmless.”
The Captain watched as Doflamingo’s hand settled firmly on your leg when you were back in your seat in a clear show of possession and quickly he looked away from you and threw back his drink. It might have been harmless but you were very dangerous. The last thing he needed was to succeed in his scam but get killed because Doflamingo didn’t like how he was looking at you. The Captain felt relief when the servants appeared with the many plates of food, managing to break the tension and everyone seemed to completely relax. Conversation began to surge up and all previous worries eased back,  the Captain being pulled into idle conversation with a member of Doflamingo’s family obsessed with art. While he wasn’t truly interested it was better to engage with the older woman than risk dying early.
Doflamingo leant in to speak in your ear, his voice low enough so only you would hear him. “And people call me the scary one.”
“What do you mean?” You asked softly, mouth hidden behind your own glass as you turned your head slightly towards him.
“You’re like a completely different person. Being sweet and nice?” He chuckled while you smirked. “Truly terrifying how easily you can pretend to be comfortable in a room filled with pirates.”
“I’’m always sweet and nice. Besides, who says I’m pretending?” You asked innocently. “I’ve never been uncomfortable here and none of the new additions here are going to change that.”
“Not even the ones who got a little too familiar with you?” Doflamingo asked, the tone in his voice hardening slightly. He watched you carefully to see if you’d subconsciously look in the direction of the men you had refused to identify. Unfortunately for him, you kept your sights firmly on his face, your calm smile unmoving.
“Not even them.” You insisted before taking a sip of your drink. You dropped your free hand onto his that remained on your leg and gave it a reassuring pat. Turning your head fully you leant in to murmur “This isn’t my first time having to play at being a pirate’s lover so stop worrying. As long as I get the ones I want, I won’t ruin your plan. Deal?” Your only answer was Doflamingo’s chuckle in your ear and his glass clinking against yours.
———-
For the remainder of the banquet, the sound of laughter and conversation didn’t stop. Through it all you noticed a few of the pirate crew becoming more at ease, no longer shooting nervous glances towards Doflamingo. Either they had enough alcohol in their systems now to have a lack of fear or they believed that the Warlord truly had no idea he was being deceived. You almost felt bad for them. Almost. When the evening was winding down you’d found your chair pulled closer so you were lounging against Doflamingo’s side while he spoke with the Captain who was beginning to slur his words slightly as he thanked Doflamingo for his generosity and promised him he and his crew would be valuable additions to his numbers.
You felt Doflamingo’s body tense and knew his patience was beginning to fray and he was building up to finally enacting his revenge against the crew. Some of the other members at the table realised too and began to move from their seats, the guests failing to notice their movements. Slowly you pulled out from Doflamingo’s hold and allowed him to stand.
“Everyone before we end this wonderful feast we have one more treat for the evening.” He announced with a broad grin while his guests cheered out. “It’s a game I like to call survival.” Immediately the cheering stopped and the drunken faces still conscious immediately sobered, terror flooding their bodies. “While I applaud you all for thinking you could steal from me and lie, I can’t let it go unpunished. So I’m going to give you all a five minute head start. If you can make it to your ship, you can leave with your lives. If you make it to the streets of Dressrosa but get caught, you’ll be sent to our Coliseum and fight for the rest of your lives. If you’re still in the palace when you get caught? You die. Your time starts now.”
The reaction was immediate, the subordinates of the pirate crew scrambled from their seats and rushed for the doors, staggering and hurrying from the banquet hall. Any of their friends that were sleeping off their meal and overindulgence of drink were abandoned. Still sitting in their seats were the Captain and his left and right hands but it wasn’t by their decision. They were held firmly in place in their seats, something controlling their bodies against their will. Doflamingo’s laughter filled the room as he and the rest of the family sat patiently for the five minutes to pass. “Sadly for you, Captain. You don’t get to play.”
Doflamingo had thought that you would have left immediately too to make sure no one else killed your mystery targets but instead for the five minutes you remained in your seat, completely relaxed. When the wait was over and those under his command started the hunt you finally rose with a soft sigh and left the room. Ignoring the hurried footsteps and panicked yells of the pirates who ran aimlessly through the palace, still unfamiliar with the confusing layout as they desperately tried to find their way to safety you made your way to the chosen room.
During the feast, the maid that had been so apologetic for not being able to stop your targets secretly slipped a message to the men while they ate and drank under your instruction. She informed them subtly that when it was quiet and Doflamingo wasn't looking they were to make their way out of the hall and follow her where you would meet them later to finish what had been started. Fuelled on their own ego, fantasies, and emboldened by the alcohol in their systems they all saw no possible negative to this proposition. They didn't see you as a threat. With a small hum you opened the doors and stepped in to see the three men waiting, their expressions impatient and frustrated. “Took you long enough.”
“I told you I preferred to take my time with these things.” You said with a smile, lazily folding your arms behind your back. “Besides, Doffy’s not an easy man to sneak away from. Needed to wait until he was preoccupied with your Captain.” At the mention of the Warlord and their Captain, the three men seemed to calm their anger slightly. “So who’s first?”
“Just because you're fucking a Warlord doesn't mean you're in charge.” One snarled, pushing away from the wall he had been leaning against and headed towards you. “Like we told you, this is what we want.” He reached for you only to stagger when you dodged him with ease. Sharply you hooked your foot around his and threw your arm around his neck, twisting sharply to snap his leg and send him hurtling to the floor, smashing his face against the pristine marble floor. His howls of pain filled the room and you wasted no time in getting up and closing the distance while the other two were surprised.
The next pirate closest to you tried to pull his dagger on you only to be disarmed with your precise training. You used his strength and your momentum against him to twist his hand and force him to stab himself. While the wound was deep and immediately debilitating it wouldn’t kill him right away, you were going to let him die slowly. Twisting the blade, you ripped it from his chest and whirled to shoot the third pirate in the back with your own pistol as he tried to flee into one of the side rooms. He crumpled to the floor, unable to move.
The coward wouldn't even try to stay and fight you? Pathetic. For all that talk they were all very disappointing. Slowly you stepped up to the pirate you’d shot and kicked him onto his back. The least he could do was look you in the eye when you killed him. Coldly pulled the trigger once more and put him out of his misery. The only sound that still filled the room was the pained, muffled breaths of the first pirate, the one who’d touched you while you had bathed. You returned to him and stood on his broken leg, smirking when he cried out in pain through a mouth filled with blood and broken teeth. Holding his friend’s dagger firmly you crouched down until you were poised over him and stabbed him, relishing how much of a release it was for your anger and disgust for him and his crew. Unable to hold back you stabbed him again and again as all the frustrations you’d been holding onto finally slipped away.
With a low sigh you rose and took steadying breaths. Suddenly you felt a presence behind you and your spun, blade striking down on the person only to hear the confusing sound of steel clattering to the ground. Blinking you saw the hilt of the weapon still in your hand but the blade was gone, now by your feet as fate intervened once more to prevent you hurting Doflamingo who stood in front of you. Slowly you looked up at him to see him grinning at you. Even with his sunglasses on you could feel the heavy force of the stare aimed at you. There was a beat of silence before the tension snapped and inexplicably you both closed the distance.
Doflamingo’s mouth claimed yours at the same time yours melded perfectly against his. You dropped the useless dagger and your bloodied hand fisted tightly into his shirt as his settled on your lower back, pulling the other closer at the same time. You’d never had a kiss this powerful before, one that made your mind hazy and craving more so instantly. It felt right but at the same time it was wrong. You couldn’t allow yourself to give in, to let it progress further. The same was also the case for Doflamingo.
He'd seen you kill them so perfectly and viciously that he’d felt pride in his chest at seeing you exact your revenge against them that he couldn’t help but kiss you. But now that he was in that moment, he couldn’t let it deepen. He had trysts and lovers, someone to fill the space in his bed for as long as he still got some enjoyment and pleasure out of it. He refused to let this get deeper, to feel anything more than he did. He was still set on defying fate and knowing you couldn’t be manipulated and used the way he could with others, he refused to give you more power. He refused to set you any closer to being on equal footing with him. In unison you both parted and hands dropped. Together you both left the room, leaving from separate doors. You headed straight for your room to wash off the blood and Doflamingo was immediately called for by one of the subordinates to inform him all the pirates had been dealt with. For the rest of the night you and Doflamingo both hated how much you’d wished the kiss you could both still feel on your lips had continued.

Mortal kombat readers
Origin.
Tumblr media
Notes: this is basically mortal combat readers back story and it leads up to when jason get taken by the joker. So this is apart of the lucid dreams series. This is just kinda telling stuff about reader its not really wrote to be a chapter. It'd just some stuff I wanted you guys to know about reader.
Warnings ⚠️: child abuse ,and Murder.
-------------------------------------------------------
Your grandfather was Lin Kuei. The great and feared warrior. And he married your grandmother. Now Your grandmother was much sweeter than your grandfather. She'd never kill or hurt anyone. And that's how she raised your mother. And yes your mother could fight ,but she didn't kill. And your grandfather was happy about that. He didn't want them to become the monster he was forced to be.
And yes living in a world where killing is basically necessary is hard when you don't kill. But they managed because your grandfather protected them. But as your grandfather was getting older and new and younger enemies came. He could only do so much.
So he made made a deal with prince hanzo. The young prince made a deal that if your grandfather trained him and bi-han he'd protect his wife and daughter. Feeling forced, your grandfather agreed.
As time passed Hanzo and your mother grew closer. But this was a problem because Hanzo was already engaged. The weeks turned into months and Hanzo and Bi-han grew stronger.
And your grandfather watched as there eyes began getting colder. And the power that was hidden inside finally came to light. But just like there power was noticeable so was your mother's growing stomach.
Now your grandfather was furious and your grandmother heartbroken. And when asked what your mother wanted to do. She said she wanted to tell Hanzo. Now Your grandfather knew it was a bad idea that the young prince already having a bastard would stain his reputation. But he allowed his daughter to make her own decisions.
Even though the princes powers were fire his eyes remained cold when your mother told him that she was pregnant. Your grandfather stood behind her daring Hanzo to make a wrong move. But the prince took the news surprisingly well.
Your mother stayed inside the palace walls even when your grandfather had said that it wasn't a good idea. She wanted you to have a father. Time passed and Hanzo didn't spare her a glance when she'd see him training. Or walking in the halls. So she gave him space and ever asked for anything.
Then you were born. And Hanzo was no where to be found . So instead it was your grandfather who was holding your mother's hand while your grandmother delivered the baby.
Now this was hard. Everyone knew that first born boys developed their fathers powers and first born girls there mothers. That's why girls were normal forgotten or just not important.
Because boys had always inherited the power. Or atleast first born boys did. Then Hanzo came and you had just been born. Your grandmother was wrapping your small body in a towel when Hanzo took you from her grasp. He scoffs as he sees what you are and mutters quietly "its a girl." Now everyone felt relief you wouldn't have to be put through traditional training or anything you could be kept hidden. But something caught Hanzos attention. Your whole body was hot. Like fire hot. And you don't seem to be crying. And then he saw it. Just for a second but he saw it. And so did your grandfather. Your eyes had went red like fire just like his did.
Your mother was confused why was Hanzo looking at you like you were a myth? Or some weird creature? You were a baby! No you were her baby! And she demanded to hold you. But Hanzo quickly rejected that idea. You were now a Hasashi. You were his. Not theirs. His.
Your mother looked at him in shock screaming and cursing every word imaginable, but Hanzo didn't care he took you and walked back to the palace. And even though your grandfather wanted to so badly stop him he couldn't because he knew that Hanzo was telling the truth. You were his. Not theirs.
As you grew your mother saw less and less of you. You were known as a bastard but you were strong and well respected for a six your old. You were put through intense training. Training that no child should be put through.
When your mother did get to see you , you were covered in bruises and cuts. And your mother's eyes filled up with tears when you were the one trying to comfort her. "Please don't cry mama. It really doesn't hurt." You say but the cut on your back is huge and your slightly shaking but still You try and comfort Her. Your grandparents had no choice but to watch as you grew with bruises and cuts constantly on your body. And your mother never slept with ease knowing you were constantly in pain.
Your mother loved you with her whole heart and she looked at you with such love that it was impossible deny that she loved you. You were her star ,her light. And it killed her to watch you grow with such pain.
You had inherited her looks you were almost a clone of her. But your power undeniably came from your father. But it was a little diffrent. Unlike your father's fire. Your fire was purple ,and bright. And it burned like hell.
You were the perfect prodigy. Your only flaw? You were a bastard. And that was practically wrote on your back anywhere you went . Maybe that's why your father treated you so cold. You were both a gift and a curse.
Your body healed quickly and maybe that's why your father never felt bad when you'd get badly hurt during training. But your mother did. And after you had nearly died from coming back from a mission with you father. She had enough.
Foolishly she went to talk to your father. And he had sent her back with scars that wouldn't heal. Now that had hurt you more than anything that he had did to you. Hearing your mother cry and scream when your grandmother had tried to help her had hurt you....But your mother was crying not just from the pain ,but because she knows that he had did much worse to you and yet you took it like it was nothing.
That was the final straw. Not only your mother had, had enough so did your grandparents. As you sat in the small room that you had still hearing your mother's screams ,your grandfather rushed in. "Pack your things we are leaving." He said and you look at him confused. "Now." He demands and he leaves no room for argument as he leaves the room. You hurridle Pack your things and before you know it your running away.
Your grandfather's carrying your weak mother body, and your grandmother holds your hand as you walk through the snowy woods. No one utters a word. Because everything has been decided.
You were going to meet a friend of your grandfather and he was going to transport you to another universe. Did you believe that that was going to happen? No. Did you say something about it? No.
You had no right to you were a child. And after about a week of traveling. You find this friend of your grandfather. But you should have been ready. But you weren't. And just as you were walking through a portal that your grandfather's friend had made your father's well trained friends appear. Your grandfather and mother were already through the portal. Leaving just you and your grandmother alone with your father's friends.
Your grandmother pushes you behind her. And your father's friends are quick to react. But you hold your sword out. Ready to defend your grandmother. But foolishly your grandmother pushes your sword out of your hands. And you look at her as if she the dumbest person in the world.
Because in that moment she is. But she looks at you with such love as speaks her final words. "You don't kill....Don't let them make you into a monster. You are so much more." She says. And and you can't look her in the eyes because a sword is cutting right through her stomach. And blood is dripping down her chin. But still she offers you a soft smile as she pushes you through the portal.
And you watch as the portal closes right after ,but you see how your grandmother falls to her knees and how your father friends try and jump through the portal.
Arriving at the other side of the portal your mother and grandfather stand with there jaw clenched and a fire in there eyes. They saw. They saw everything.
You drop to your knees before your grandfather and your breathing is so bad that you can't see right. "I'm so sorry grandfather...I wasn't fast enough i..I couldn'-," You try and explain but your grandfather cuts you off. "It's not your fault, child." He says and yet the pain you feel says otherwise. You nod standing up and stay silent. taking a good look around yourself trying to ignore the tears that want so desperately to fall.
"We're are we?" Your mother says and you try to ignore the way her voice breaks. "Gotham." Your grandfather says. And you wonder how he knows but you don't dare to ask.
Months pass and the wound of your grandmother passing slowly heals. You have to many things to worry about. Like learning the costums of this earth. And the language. Soon enough your mother meets Bruce wayne.
And your whole life changes agian. You have a more luxurious life and you even get to watch as bruce brings home children and those children become your brothers. Some you have a decent connection with like dick and Tim who you don't really care about. Because they don't bother trying to be nice to you. And some you absolutely hate. Like Damian because he thinks he's just so much better than you. And then there's one. Who absolutely adores you. Jason. Jason was your favorite for many reasons but the biggest reason was because he loved you. He actually cared. He didn't ignore you or act like he was better than you. He looked up to you. But as bruce brought kid after kid. You watched as your mother's attention slowly drifted away from you. And that was fine at the beginning. The were younger they needed a mother more than you.
But as time went on it seemed like your mother didn't have time for you like she did the others. You were no longer her baby. Now her baby was damian. And you could understand hes the youngest. But you're her biological child shouldn't she love you more?
And even tim ,dick and jason had a special place in her heart. And she looked at them with such love and devotion. And you realized that's how she used to look at you.
And before you knew it. It was like you were just a constant reminder of her past that she tries to forget.
So you gave her space and time to heal. And you wanted to prove that you were worthy of her. That all the pain and scars that she had because of you were worth it. You just wanted for her to look at you like she used to. But she didn't.
So you focused your time more on school and training.
Now just because you went to a new world doesn't mean your training stopped ,no. Your grandfather made that clear that he would train you every day. And you did train every day with your grandfather.
Now your grandfather found a home of his own. He wouldn't rely on bruce or his money. He was a man and he made that clear. You looked up to your grandfather and in some ways he was like your father. And he was more present in your life then your mother.
Now you and your mother has gotten into an argument about something dumb something you can't even remember what it was about. But she had sent you to your room.
And you sat there sulking and feeling nothing but anger. Then you hear a knock on your door. "Who is it?" You yell not wanting to get up. And jason replies from the other side of your door.
"It's me. Can I come in?" He says. But your angry and you don't feel like talking. "I'm busy right now." You say coldly and you know it's a lie. Your doing absolutely nothing right now ,but you still don't want to talk.
"Please. It's important!" Jason says but you couldn't care less. And you answer him with such a rude tone. "I said I'm busy. I don't want to talk." You say and you can tell he's stunned you've never talked to him like that. You've always talked to him kindly. And for a moment you feel bad but you push those feelings away decideding that you'll just apologize later.
You hear him mutter a quiet "okay." Before he walks away. And looking back now you'd give anything to go back in time to stop him. To tell that you do want to talk to him. To apologize for how you spoke to him. But in that moment you don't know what's going to happen.
So you go to sleep without a care in the world. But your woken up by your mother shaking you. And when you open your eyes you see the tears in hers. "What's wrong?" You say confused.
"The..the joker has jason.." She says. And suddenly you don't feel tired or angry anymore all you feel is fear....

ok so imagine if joker killed someone and the guilt stained his hands with blood forever
so he understands why akechi wears gloves all the time lol
btw i traced the hands from an anime called Beyond the Boundary (just search anime bloody hands and it’s like the first result), i wanted to focus more on the effect and the expression
also have some drawings of akechi i did with a different fit. imagine if joker had a dream with akechi in it with phantom thief outfit before akechi revealed his persona to the thieves lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ALSO if you want more context for the joker killing someone idea, and an edit i did with these drawings to please the instagram algorithm, please see under the cut
ok so i was thinking about the PT’s plan against Akechi, and a common gripe i see is how the cognitions don’t die like that in other palaces, they just dissipate into black smoke. BUT ALSO other palace rulers don’t really see people as actual people unlike Sae.
so Kamoshida sees people as nothing more than dolls/slaves he can use how he wants, hence cognitive Ann just dissipates when sliced (a puppet with cut strings is useless). Okumura sees people as robots so cognitive Haru explodes because she’s a robot. Kaneshiro sees people as ATMs so they just malfunction and break down.
i imagine the cognitions in Madarame’s palace are kinda just like… 3D living statues, just there to admire Madarame’s work, so if they were killed they’d probably dissipate or crumble like Kamoshida’s. and obviously there are no cognitions in Futaba’s palace (apart from Wakaba, who has a whole boss) because she’s a shut in.
anyway, the PT would notice that cognitions have different behaviour even in death depending on the palace ruler, so to confirm the plan would work, they would have to kill a cognition to see what happens in Sae’s palace. Makoto is probably sure her sister still sees people as people so it would work, but she also knows it’s vital they check this. in a way it would ease her too, since it would be confirmation.
and of course Joker being the leader he is would volunteer to do the ‘deed’. so he kills an innocent, harmless, cognitive person, watches them beg for their life as he holds a gun to their head and fires. he knows it’s just a cognition so it’s irrational, but the guilt he feels is all the same, especially as he watches the cognition slump to the floor just like a real corpse and bleed out onto the floor. Unlike other cognitions in other palaces it doesn’t dissipate after a while, it stays there, because Sae, how distorted she may be, still sees people as people, in life or death.
ALSO even when cognitive Ren and the guard dissipate after a while, it’s not because they’re cognitions, it’s because Sae has by then found out the whole thing was a ploy. she now knows both Ren and the guard are very much alive - so then of course the corpses would disappear
leave out the Joker kills a cognition bit (let’s say they were confident enough in their reasoning) and it could basically be canon
lol anyway yeah i wrote that in a fic and wanted to draw it in a sort of quick sketch lol
anyway here’s the edit lol

You know… since only girls can be dated in P5, but both girls and boys can be the subject of the "Who Would You Marry?" Imagine Spot in P5T, that implies that Joker canonically had his Bisexual Awakening somewhere between the end of the Maruki's Palace and the start of P5T (which takes place in between the end of Joker's incarceration, and the actual end of P5).
This carries the hilarious implication that Joker didn't realize he found Akechi attractive until like. The very end. It'd probably be more fitting if he realized he liked Akechi during Maruki's calling card scene, but I think it'd be hilarious if Joker's oblivious butt didn't realize it until he was chilling in juvenile detention with nothing to do but think about things and then abruptly was like "OH CRAP I THOUGHT AKECHI WAS HOT" and then "WAIT I'M BI???" and then "DANGIT I TOTALLY MISSED THAT HE WAS PRACTICALLY FLIRTING WITH ME THE ENTIRE TIME"

contributing to the curse (ask number) and your request for anything persona x reader (whims)
any game goes, but how about the characters with a reader that doesn't seem to mash with the rest of group too well? i'm talking someone who is quiet, the complete opposite of a team player, doesn't get the inside jokes, and doesn't hang out much with the others outside of persona ass-kicking pursuits...
this errs on the platonic side of things :3c just for fun
I had fun putting this together, though I feel it is a tad sloppy in the middle section but I am pretty sure that's just me.
Now! Your Wish Is My Command!
Tumblr media
Ren drank his can of soda through a silly straw as he watched you, the hat he received from The Boss for his birthday which matched Sojiro’s own save for Ren’s being black with a red band as opposed to white with a black band sitting snugly upon his head.
Ren had to go through hell to get you out here, he was going to make sure you didn’t slip away when no one was looking.
The sound of billiards cracking against one another rang out.
“ARRRRGH!!! C’mon man!Cut me some slack here!” Ryuji cried as Akechi laughed.
“Hmph, and why should I do that? You’re the one who carries around a blunt instrument all the time, perhaps you should learn a bit of delicacy!” Akechi said as he moved to the sidelines and next to Yusuke who seemed to be pondering something.
“Crow, tell me, have you noticed?” Yusuke asked vaguely.
“I have, our dear Joker has been glaring at them for quite a while. Then again, it quite is rare for them to come out for a “Team Bonding” exercise.” Akechi stated as he briefly turned his gaze onto you from the corner of his eyes.
“I… was talking about the scene we are currently in being perfect to paint…” Yusuke meekly muttered, causing Akechi to sigh.
Was Joker the only one with a brain cell in this group?
He was promptly reminded that his favorite and most powerful Persona was a Jack Frost that can nuke anything and anyone. He chose Jack Frost purely because it was cute.
Joker most definitely did not own any brain cells.
“I am well and truly surrounded by idiots…” Akechi hissed to himself.
How could Joker believe such sacrilege?
Jack-O-Lantern was clearly the cutest.

Haru kept her eyes on you as the Mona-Mobile rattled down the halls of Mementos.
This was the first time she had ever been sent out with you on the same team.
It was proving to be… enlightening.
Especially with your Persona, Robin Goodfellow.
Trickery, illusions, and misdirection to position an enemy in the perfect spot to ensure defeat.
That is what your Persona specializes in.
And when Haru took your weapon into account… It made her think of the tricksters in the old stories she used to read as a child.
A wiley trickster causing mischief and chaos as they pleased to both friend and foe alike.
And to a certain point, that fit.
Except… you were always a bit off to the side.
Watching everything, working with the others for only as long as was needed.
The jokes the thieves made were lost on you and the moment they were done with Mementos or a Palace you were gone on the wind.
Now that she thought about it, that is probably why you were only able to do a Showtime with Joker who seemed to be the only one you listened to.
And it was certainly a mindblowing sight.
A “Midsummer Night's Dream” if she had ever seen one.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
“It's Showtime!” Joker shouted with a grin as you walked forward, spear in hand.
“Do you Shadows dream?” you asked as you reached for the mask on your face.
Joker rushed past you, knife in hand and carved through the enemies before them.
You tore the mask from your face and your Persona appeared behind you with a manic laugh and an impish grin upon its face.
“I know that I do.” you declared evenly as you stabbed the tip of your weapon into the ground and the world changed.
A forest at night in the dead of summer with a hundred fireflies flying through the sky and a clearing filled with flowers stunning the thieves and the shadows.
“Unfortunately, dreams are but illusions without the will to make them real.” You stated as you appeared behind the shadows, speartip stained with their black Ichor.
Then, as quickly as it came the illusion shattered and an explosion rained down from above, courtesy of Joker.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Haru continued to be vexed by you.
She was not alone in that if the way the others talked about you was any indication.
“So then Joker, is ya pal gonna be joining us tonight?”
“I am desperate to paint their Persona, its whimsical beauty has truly enraptured me!”
“I got these sweets earlier today! I want to share them with everyone! Wait! They’re not here!? You better not eat their share, Ryuji!”
“C’mon! We can’t have a party discussion about what we’ll do in the next Dungeon if we’re missing our Illusion caster!”
“Joker, shouldn’t we try to get them to show up to at least a few of these to ensure everything runs smoothly?”
“If they bring me pancake mix again I am going to break their fingers.”
Haru was happy to see that everyone was treating you as part of the team despite how distant you were.
But… she just hoped you knew they had your back if they needed it.
They all knew what it felt like to be the odd one out as well as anyone could ever hope to know it.
They were outcasts, misfits, social pariahs, delinquents, and weirdos.
They were the Phantom Thieves Of Hearts, and you were one of them.

pairing: ren amamiya / akira kurusu / joker x gn!reader
summary: after finding out about the deal your boyfriend made with the god of control, you confront him! but ren has since changed...
tags: evil joker, kinda yandere joker too, established relationship, angst, spoilers for persona 5's bad ending, implied corruption
a/n: i replayed persona 5 and went for a bad ending this time! after seeing evil joker, i had to write this immediately! <3
Tumblr media
“w-who are you…?”
the man in front of you wore your boyfriend's face, but there wasn't a single trace of the boy you once loved. ren amamiya was a good guy, who wanted to help people! never would he have made a deal with a god, that only brought suffering upon people!
“you know me.”
ren's eyes were covered by his glasses, making his expression impossible to read. only the hint of a smile on the corner of his lips was there to show any sort of emotion.
“you're not the boy i fell in love with! the ren amamiya that i know would've never sided with a god, much less the god of control! how could you betray everything the phantom thieves stood against!?”
ren took a step towards you, his lips parting, as he was ready to talk back at you. but you quickly stepped back and cried out:
“don't come any closer!”
ren adjusted his glasses, finally allowing you to get a glimpse of his eyes. they were staring at you uncomfortably from behind those glasses, almost as if they were piercing right through you. could this really be the same boy you once fell in love with? could those same kind eyes that made you feel all warm and fuzzy now scare you like this?
“i didn't betray the phantom thieves. i saved us! we can continue our work and finally get the recognition we deserve! the public loves us, just like they should! isn't that what we all wanted? we are heroes!”
he sounded insane! with each word that left his lips, you felt more disgusted with him. is this truly how he viewed the world? how he viewed the phantom thieves?
“heroes? don't make me laugh!” you yelled at ren. “you are not a hero! you are the villain of this story! you enslaved the whole world for your selfish wants! you are no better than those we took down! you are… just like them…”
for a split second, ren's face distorted. your words seemed to wound him, but the anger quickly faded from his face again. slowly, he stepped forward. even as you took steps backwards, it was impossible for you to escape him. soon, he had you cornered, his hand resting on your cheek.
“i am not like the palace rulers we disposed of. they were weak fools, but me? i am on the same level as a god now! the people worship and adore me! all of us, all phantom thieves, can be as gods! we can forever continue this way of life! we never have to change! we can simply live as heroes, worshiped like gods, for eternity!”
a twisted smile had spread over ren's face.
“why should we waste our time worrying about humans? humanity is enslaved by the god of control? well, this isn't our problem! you and i, we stand above them! so, join me! you and i, we can become as gods! you only have to join me and give up your foolish rebellion against me…”
ren took a step back, yet reached out his hand towards you. he didn't force you to take it, but whether you'd accept his hand or reject him would change your life forever. there were only two options; either you were with him or against him!
“what do you say, darling? will you choose humanity over me? or will you come to your senses and realize you belong by my side?”

Lost you once
Chapter 1 ~ All there is, is you and me Where things go wrong following the escape from Sae's palace.
Tumblr media
⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩
Under the colorful fluorescents of Sae’s casino, all Ren can look at is you.
In all your beauty, in all your grace, you dance above the lights with a smile that makes his heart flutter. Your presence shimmers like your blade as you fight your way through shadows. It shines like the chandeliers you swing from. As you intentionally put on a show, Ren almost feels jealous at how many eyes widen at your appearance.
“Joker, stop staring at them! You need to keep up your own pace or you’re not getting out of there!”
Futaba’s voice comes through his communicator, a warning lacing her teasing words as she alludes to the true plan he needed to carry out. Before the others could question her statement, Ryuji’s obnoxiously loud laughter pierces his ears. He can slightly hear Ann tell him to shut up but by then, Ren has already turned his eyes to look at you once more.
Ren sees you giggle and send him a wink, blowing a kiss that he catches with his hand. As the large group of shadows you fight look over towards his hiding place, you take advantage of their distraction.
“PERSONA!”
Pandora’s Box- a myth said to hail from Ancient Greece. Pandora, the first woman ever alive, was blessed by the gods with gifts to guide her path. Among beautiful clothing, shining pearls, and wonderful musical sound, it was a singular box that took the attention of the girl. A gift she was warned not to open. And coupled with her innocently curious nature, it was a recipe for disaster.
The shadows dressed in suits laughed at you. After all, could you even fight with such an inconvenient persona? To them, it seemed you were better off fighting with your blade than some cumbersome box.
Ren could see it in your eyes. The anger and the fury of being underestimated yet again. Through all their battles, you were the one that was always targeted, being thought of as the weakest link of their party. But time and time again- you would prove your worth and show it was a mistake to underestimate just how much damage you could do.
When you first unlocked your persona, the thieves stood confused. No creature, no monster, no mythological being of any kind stood behind you and your new outfit. Instead, an ornate box appeared hovering in your hands. Nobody else could ever open the box except for you, and you wouldn’t tell anyone exactly what was in it either.
You glide your hand over the top, shifting the lid of the box to the side. It leaks out a black mass of smoke that enters your assailants lungs. Wretched coughs lined with the aftermath of your assault filled the air.
You wielded the element of poison. With the smoke emanating from Pandora’s Box, you were able to inflict continuous damage on your opponents without even directly attacking.
For weaker enemies, the smoke was all you needed to put them out of commission long enough for you to get past.
The group of shadows in front of you fall to their knees, gasping breaths as they heave on the floor. You walk past them, not bothering yourself to finish them off. You had a mission to complete, afterall.
You hop onto the next chandelier, pausing as you survey the area to decide whether to jump down to the ground below or maneuver up to the elevated area above.
“There are too many shadows below you to land down, Silhouette. There should be a platform with an exit door somewhere above you,” Futaba says.
“Got it!” You say as you climb up the balcony. When your two feet touch solid floor, you turn around to see if Ren made it behind you. He makes eye contact with you and for a brief second your eyes soften and he forgets where he is- focusing on the beauty that is all of you.
“Behind you, watch out!” Futaba’s voice interrupts his brief daze. Ren quickly climbs up, hiding himself as you turn to face the newly appeared opponent. “This one’s not like the others- make sure to be careful!”
Your eyes narrow, sizing up the shadow in front of you.
For stronger enemies, your poison wasn’t the only thing you’d need to use.
Manifesting your persona, you again flooded the arena with your black smoke. The poison begins to take effect, but as expected, the Moloch wouldn’t fall down with just that. It takes the opportunity to blast you with agidyne- which you just narrowly avoid.
After dodging, you close the distance between you and the shadow. With the help of your intruding poison, you brandish your blade. It only takes three quick strikes to take it down. It cries as it vanishes into a black puddle, emanating a similar smoke as your own persona does.
“Good job, Silhouette!” Akechi cuts through the communications and with a voice so cheery, no one on the line dares to comment further. Ren almost rolls his eyes at the facade he knows the detective is putting on.
“Let’s keep moving- through those doors should be a maintenance area,” Futaba says. “Everyone else use escape route B!”
Several chatters of agreement and acknowledgement follow her words. You turn to Ren and he nods in encouragement, already prepared to follow you through the doors and to the ends of the Earth itself.
You head inside, going through quicker than you normally would have if you feared being caught. However, you had to. You needed to run ahead of Ren to make sure your opposition was reacting in the intended way for your plan to succeed. Keeping Akechi’s spirit in believing you were on your own escape route was part of it. Setting the stage for Ren to make his grand reveal was what was supposed to happen.
Supposed to.
Ren doesn’t know how it went so wrong.
He was the one that leapt out the stained glass window, grabbing the attention of everyone in the premises. You were the one that took the quiet route at the last moment- through a set of unsuspecting gray doors.
Ren can’t help but freeze as he stares at the scene in front of him. He can vaguely hear your voice fighting against your captors. He can barely see the outline of you trying to free yourself. He can just about feel your eyes begging at him for help.
This wasn’t how things were supposed to go.
A helicopter shines a blinding spotlight on his face and he flinches. He can’t move- he can’t think- and every possible voice in his ear but one is screaming at him to run.
He doesn’t want to leave you there, and all he wants to do is run over and free you from your binding so you can run off yourself- but he can’t. Not when there are other people’s lives at stake, not when it’s not over just yet. The burden of being a leader means he can’t always do what he needs.
And so he turns away. Away from your voice. Away from the outline of you. Away from your pleading eyes.
Ren feels sick as he runs off, taking your intended escape route as a few policemen attempt to chase him. He out runs them all, of course. When he meets up with the rest of the thieves, your missing presence is deafening.
Despite being free, Ren can’t help but feel like he’s lost.
He was the one that was supposed to get captured, treated like a dog by the cops once more. You were the one bound to the ground- kicked around like you were nothing more than worthless trash.
Ren tries to keep up the confident facade as he speaks with your panicked friends- reassuring them that everything was going to be alright. They all separate for the night following the short debrief at Le Blanc. The rest of them leave with a hesitant hope that despite the hiccup, their intended plan would turn out and you would return to them safe.
Ren wasn’t so sure of it himself. Morgana paws at him as he sits in bed- the wide eyed distant stare Ren wears makes the cat question if he was even alive. His hands cover his nose and mouth as he replays the image of you being rough handled in his mind. He doesn’t want to imagine the horrors of what they may be putting you through in custody- but his memories of his own treatment leak into his thoughts and all he wants to do is cry.
He desperately, desperately wants you in his arms, but all he can do is sit in his bed and sob like you’re already gone.
⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩
Decided to split this fic up into parts because I hate doing constant scene changes in my fics lowk lowk. Also to get this out of draft hell LMAO >:3 I have parts 2 and 3 already written, with part 4 already drafted and partially complete. Be warned this has the unrequited love tag on ao3 for a reason...

I feel like when people emphasize Akechi's murders, they often act like his motivation only boils down to "daddy issues" or they really make light of the impacts societal discrimination can have on a person. "But Futaba didn't end up like Akechi," I've seen people say, but the thing is, Akechi is meant to show the worst case scenario. Someone without anyone left to uplift him, to ground him, and to give him a reason to be better. Futaba had Sojiro, though that hardly justifies her mother's death, nor the horrible mistreatment from her relatives or what Shido put her through by framing Wakaba's death as a suicide. Futaba was in a very dark place, and she needed a helping hand. The Phantom Thieves saved her. But Akechi didn't have that helping hand when he needed it most. He lost his mother at a very young age, endured the foster system, never finding a new forever home, and at his absolute lowest point, was granted power he didn't understand with no one to guide him, and wanted to get close to Shido to one day backstab him and give him a taste of his own medicine. The murders came later, when Shido "instructed him." And given the way Shido yells at Akechi about what happens to people who cross him, and given what he did to Futaba (the men in suits), his cleaner, and how many people he had on his side, on top of Sojiro making it very clear how cutthroat Shido was to his enemies... Akechi was screwed no matter what. His face, his name, all of it could be used to ruin him in the real world. Alone, he would not have been enough to go through Shido's Palace, given how much trouble the Phantom Thieves had as a group. Plus, y'know, this:
Tumblr media
Something so many people ignore when they talk about Akechi and his murders and ignore everything else the narrative tries to say about him.
What P5 tries to say about Akechi is so important to its core themes. That, if Akechi hadn't been a victim of so much injustice, he might have never gone to such lengths. That doesn't undo the damage he's done, but it's so important to understanding why the game approaches him with sympathy rather than writing him off as pure evil. Because it didn't have to be this way. If he had just met Joker sooner, if he had just had somebody. Akechi represents what can happen to vulnerable children who are failed by systems meant to uphold justice and other ideals, and how those who have nothing, who have only ever been hurt, are far more likely to lash out in turn. Persona 5 places so much importance on the suffering of children and the ways society needs to improve for the sake of children. That, I think, is one of the key reasons Akechi is framed as a victim. He is a warning, a cry to do better.
