RM’s girlfriend - ENFJ

Namjoon once said that he is attracted to people with strong personalities. While he is often paired with thinker types, I see him more compatible with someone compassionate and empathetic. ENFJ’s are known for their kind, approachable, and friendly nature, but they are also natural leaders who are incredibly strong-willed and will fiercely defend what they believe in. An ENFJ’s intuition also allows them to be creative idealists, future-oriented, and highly theoretical. Although they are quite similar, I see an ENFJ as the more extroverted, grounded, optimistic, and high-energy counterpart to Joon.

SUGA’s girlfriend - ENTP

Yoongi definitely needs someone who can keep up with him intellectually. The perfect type for him is none other than the quick-witted and audacious ENTP, a type that is goal-oriented and logical. He once said he wishes he laughed more, and I think the right variant of this type would be quite the teaser and jokester with him as they are also creatively humorous. When matured, ENTP’s are great communicators, highly intelligent, disciplined, and have the potential to be empathetic advocates.

V’s girlfriend - ESFP

ESFP’s are vibrant, spontaneous, energetic, and love to be in the spotlight. I imagine Tae’s girlfriend as someone who is creative with a strong, confident personality, and ESFP’s are extremely colorful individuals. They have a great eye for aesthetic appeal and are not afraid to express themselves via their individual style. And while they are highly extroverted, life of the party types, they also have excellent people skills and like to encourage others. Tae paired with an ESFP would make for a fun-loving, exciting, and passionate relationship.

j-hope’s girlfriend - INFP

I see Hobi’s girlfriend being just as much of a ray of sunshine as he is, albeit a little less loud. Although they may seem timid or unassuming on the outside, INFP’s are imaginative, open-minded, passionate individuals. They also care deeply about people, and have warm, inviting personalities once you get to know them. She might be a little quirky, with a creative side that shines through via her hobbies and personal style. There are other types that fit this mold as well, but I think a (healthy) INFP would suit Hoseok incredibly well.

Jungkook’s girlfriend - ISTJ

As always, Jungkook is hard to type. I boiled it down to ISTJ - a woman who is mature, dependable, practical, decisive, and honest. While being methodical and deliberate may sound like the opposite of JK, I think this type would suit him well by helping to ground him. However, their strong work ethic and dedication would align. I think JK needs someone he can rely on, someone stable who can help him grow, and an ISTJ would challenge him in a positive way.

Jimin’s girlfriend - ENFP

ENFP’s are one of the most well-loved types. I imagine Jimin’s girlfriend being rather friendly and popular, but still humble and open-minded. ENFP’s are known for their unique sense of creativity and depth to their personality, despite their aloof demeanor. They also deeply value meaningful connections with other people and tend to have a magnetic enthusiasm that radiates positive energy. She would have the same people skills and loveability as Jimin, but be a little more ditzy, self-oriented, and emotional.

I was rereading my old stuff to compare how I liked my old material compared to how I write now. Made this a while ago but I think I wanna add my prediction of their girlfriend’s mbti and how each member and their predicted mbti girlfriend is.

Namjoon’s girlfriend: INFJ. She's hot and a baddie. But underneath that, she's also mature, strong, patient, and artistic. It's uncanny, but she's also very therapeutic to be around. Intelligent to the max, but the intelligence is different from his. Her EQ is so much higher than anyone's. Slow to anger. Biggest flaw: prideful; she almost always knows the answer to everything but she's not always right which can frustrate her. (Gif of Namjoon thinking of her when he misses her) 

Seokjin’s girlfriend: ISFJ. She's super cute, silly, but mature and the one who's got it together which is very Seokjin-like. Very helpful. She looks like the anti-version of Namjoon gf, but she matches who she is on the outside and the inside. Very soft and sweet woman. Gets along with everyone even if she's not the typically person you'd hang out with. Biggest flaw: passive. But not passive-agressive; she lets most things go and she's not a pushover, but she could speak up more. (Gif of Seokjin when he talks to her)

Yoongi’s girlfriend: ENTJ/ENFP. She's surprisingly extroverted. Similar to the extroverts that is Jimin and Hobi, she energizes him and makes him do things with her, no matter how mundane, which are the little things that makes him appreciate his time with her. She's extroverted, and super funny but not too extreme that wears him out; just enough for him to feel comfortable. She's also super into music and has listened to his infinite drafts. She's also super boss lady, but has the sweet side that's reserved only for him and the Bangtan family. Biggest flaw: blunt; she needs to learn how to be for mindful.  Hoseok’s girlfriend: ESFJ/ENFJ. Literally, damn near perfect. Shes so protective of everyone and has high EQ. Shes got the flawless cute and beautiful look. A breath of fresh air and calm. Super elegant and is the adult you need when you need an adult to adult. Biggest flaw: people pleaser; she knows that she can't make everyone happy, but it doesn't mean she doesn't try until it stresses her out in return. (Gif of Hoseok when he’s surprised to see her.)

Jimin’s girlfriend: ISFJ/ISFP/INFP. Wholesome but so drop-dead sexy, it gives you whiplash. She's physically affectionate, but not invasive. Also similarly ambitious and a perfectionist but shes very introspective, and can hold her own. Thoughtful and intuitive. Biggest flaw: untrusting. It's hard for her to trust people, open up. Taehyung’s girlfriend: ENFP/ESFJ. Not confusing, but surprising. She can be a bit of a mama bear to the Bangtan family, but can also be absolutely fearless. Jungkook’s girlfriend: ESTJ/ENTJ/ESFP. A real baddie. Ambitious, strong, competitive, protective, takes no shit, but not reckless and doesn't make a scene; she's too poised and smart for that. She can however, be quietly vicious. She has a passion for life that makes her have an addictive personality and rivals Jungkooks own passion got life. Probably big on the grunge aesthetic like JK. Biggest flaw: possessive; everything is a threat until proven otherwise. (Gif of Jungkook on their date night)

So BTS is a family, I don’t think their girlfriends be any less. What is the group dynamic?

First of all, all of the girls would probably be super nurturing, caring, nice, and kind. As far as I’ve gathered, that’s something all the boys would agree to have in their girlfriends. But what makes each girlfriend unique? All this is personality-wise.

Namjoon: His girlfriend is going to be like a counselor. She’s best at making people bring out the feelings they want to express. Namjoon’s girlfriend can’t catch everything on the spot, but she can help them bring it into expression. She knows how to sit him down and make him feel comfortable to spill out everything that bothers him. And of course, she’ll understand it. She does it for all the boys who have a hard time expressing their feelings and Namjoon super appreciates her for it. He knows his boys well, but it’s nice to have someone by his side to help him out. She’s also the most tactful so everyone is comfortable to talk to her like they do with their leader. Tag team her, SJGF, JGF, TGF for the comfort group.

Seokjin: She’s so grounded! She reminds everyone to refocus. Whether it’s the boys fooling around, or the girls are all out in the supermarket, buying food for their boys and she needs to remind them of the real food to get, not just the junk food they all know they would appreciate. Seokjin derps out as much as his brothers, so she’s going to be the one to be most motherly so he doesn’t have to take up that role every single time. She’s best at making everyone calm down and the quiet Seokjin and Yoongi love it. She’s most welcomed into their room because of her calm nature. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to be fun, but when someone overdoes it, she stops it. Tag team this couple, the YG couple, NJ, and JKGF as the focus. She’s their guardian.

Yoongi: Yoongi wants someone who can relate to him. I think she would have so much dry humor and stay flexible in every situation. He’s so busy and he need someone who understands if he doesn’t contact her for days, as long as they can have high-quality time when they are together. If it were a post-apocalyptic movie and she was the main character’s love interest, she’d the be the type to make a passing comment to be careful and run the other way to help others out, making a promise to him in her heart that she will survive just so she can tell him she loves him later. When he’s overly critical or too honest, she breaks ice with her dry humor, subtly reminding him to bring it down a notch; she’s also got enough balls to do it. She makes light of every dark situations which makes him grateful of her balance while maintaining her chill; it’s nice for her to have some energy in her, but not too much because it would be exhausting to keep up with her and it would reverse-burn her out too when he can’t keep up with her. Her willingness and flexibility is what makes him realize that she’s a rare keeper. Between the girlfriends, she, NJGF, SJGF, HGF, and JKGF have the most chill. TGFand JGF have less chill, but its okay, because almost all the boys dont have it either. I have no particular title for her. Let me know if you can come up with anything.

Hoseok’s girl is most empathetic. She’s got a good grasp on everyone’s emotions, high and low-key. Namjoon’s girl will wait to be approached about problems, giving them space about it (and really, with way she makes everyone feel, its not hard), but Hoseok’s girl would not hesitate to pull them aside and have them speak. Hoseok’s girl will catch onto every subtle detail in an instant. Hoseok is everyone’s hope, but he’s got his moments and she needs to recognize them. I think he’s good at expressing his feelings, but the moment there’s a speck of darkness, she needs to pick it up and make sure he expresses it then and there, and also makes sure she’s there for him when he needs it. Tag team her and the NJ couple, and you have one hell of a counseling team. She’s a protector.

Jimin’s girlfriend is most gentle/sensitive. You might think she’s timid, but really, she’s just super sensitive to everyone’s needs. She’s supportive and encouraging so she actually might sugarcoat things, but she will do her best to not beat around the bush for serious things. Jimin is a simple nice guy so he really needs her sensitivity. Every time she hands out the water bottles, a towel, a quick snack, a word of encouragement, to the members after dance practice, he can’t help but fawn over her thoughtfulness and feel like he’s fallen in love with her all over again. Tag team this couple and H for expressing (expressing is keyword because most of the boys are sensitive, even if they have a hard time showing it) sensitivity. She’s a supporter.

Taehyung: She’s a cheerful sweetheart! She’s pretty bubbly, the biggest bubble of a future mother you will find! Her biggest characteristic is that she makes everyone feel at home. Her body language and words show that shes so comfortable in her surroundings, it will naturally make you feel the same; you could be at the music awards, a new country, someone’s house, or even feel lost. It will be funny to see her so relaxed, sitting criss-crossed when talking to you in your own home. You get the impression that she is carefree but in fact she has a good sense of decorum, being at home at the highest order acceptable in that environment, and is consciously making a point to be relaxed for others, although it is easy and natural for her. When anyone is scared to go somewhere or see someone, they ask her to tag along, even if shes a little distance away, as long as they can see her in their line of vision, they feel better. Taehyung hates to feel so rigid or tense so it’s perfect. Whoever you are, she can talk to you and make you feel like old friends, you’ll forget that its the second time you’ve seen her. Shes the person in the group who everyone starts to talk informally first. Tag team this couple, H, and YG’s girlfriend (she’s low-key specified) for mood-making. This team probably causes the most trouble that the focus group cleans up after. She is the homemaker.

Jungkook’s girlfriend would kind of be a jack-of-all-trades type. She can keep up with his competitive nature because she’s the one challenging him in the first place. She motivates everyone to improve because she herself sets such a good example of being so. Her knowledge, talents, and independence inspires everyone and he looks up to her a lot. He has a lot of fun showing her that he’s improved and to see her so proud of him makes him happy and feels successful. I think one of the reason’s why he says he wants a noona is because of her experiences she could share with him. Tag team her, NJ, and YG for the infiring group. She’s a challenger.

1/2 HI!! SO happy I found your blog!! I'm reaching out to you for help with BTS typing!! I agree with you re: Jungkook ISTP (girl, YES!), V ENFP (my type as well!), J-Hope ESFJ, RM INFJ, Suga INTJ, and Jin xNTP (I lean ENTP but eh at least NTP for sure)! The 1 I need helping understanding is Jimin. Please don't get mad =(, I am genuinely trying to learn! I KNOW he's not ENFJ, and yet I get stuck because I feel I see both Fe and Se. I don't see Ni high up in him, I just get stuck with Fe and Se.

s2/2 You've probably already done a breakdown, and I'll keep reading your blog posts and may find the answer myself! But I figured I'd ask for your Jimin breakdown just in case and because understanding how others approach type helps me improve!! I think I'm usually decent at this (for ex you and I agree that Hwasa, Jackson, and Sulli are ESFP (would you say Hyuna and Ravi are too?). But I am so confused by Jimin. UGH WHY?! I'm stuck thinking he has both Fe and Se, and I need help seeing his Fi!

3 Ah sorry, I'm excited now and want to type more (if you're getting annoyed please just skip this part! Would much prefer reading your answer than you getting stressed/mad reading all I wrote)! So I definitely see Se in Jimin 100%!! AND I know he's a feeler. I think the problem is Fi usually jumps out at me--for us Fi users, that sense of identity and independence is usually so apparent (let me know if you relate to this!!), so I think my problem is that I'm having a hard time seeing Jimin's Fi

It’s totally okay for me to answer I love when people are really interested!!! so don’t worry. 

About Jimin being ESFP: Where is his Fi? Why does he sometimes seem to use Fe?

1) A lot of ESFPs seem ENFJ. Firstly, because Se+Fi can look like Fe sometimes. I’ve talked about this a few times (check the tags), but also I’ve recently discovered that ESFP seem to use SeFe given by Jungian stack? this is difficult but anyway, a lot of ESFP are likely to display a Fe behavior when there’s NOT exactly Fe in the roots. 

Basically, ESFP are very sensitivy towards someone’s gestures, change of voice tone, and reactions in general, we are always aware of our surroundings so it’s easy for us to check if someone is feeling something even if they want to pretend they don’t. ESFPs are kind and sensible with their own feelings and needings, and they tend to be so with others too, so they are quite empathetic. That’s why Jimin doesn’t seem the embodiment of a tortured high Fi user but a caring Fe user.

I’ve said that Fi is “I treat people the way I want to be treated��, beyond “treating people well”. It’s like: “I don’t mind if you go out without me, because I would appreciate if you don’t get mad at me If I go out without you”. While probably Fe users are more like: “You should always count on all your friends to go out. It’s basic friendship” (or something like that, like collective values vs. individual values). Fe is thinking about the other all the time, pretending to know what everybody feels and should feel. 

(Have you read Hobi’s part in UGH? To me those are Fe statements af.)

And as Fi is like that, Se users and Especially ESFPs, are very aware of what people may require from them, of what do people except from them. That sometimes can be seen as Fe, as it is a way of feeling accepted, matching with people, and please everyone. The difference is that Fi users don’t do that if the context doesn’t fit with their inner values or feelings. We can become unattached from someone or something we may see fake or pretentious. 

ANYWAY. Jimin, as many healthy ESFPs, is sensitive and wants to give others the attention he needs (which is: A LOT, as a good ESFP he is). Wa crave for attention and quality time, so we give it to others too. We can be very caring and clingy, and people mistake that for being Fe user. 

2) Jimin is enneagram 3w2 most likely, and that put us in some difficulties with Fi. First and foremost, being a eneatype 3 means you are succcess-oriented and relay on your public image / persona to survive. Enneatypes 3 can seem fake because they put their effort on “how are they seen” rather than in “how they feel”. This, along with the obsession of appearing succesful and always willing to shine, casts a shadow over Jimin’s Fi. Happens the same with Jackson and Yuta, they are both ESFP enneatype 3 and both are mistyped as ENFJ and ESTP repectively. Jimin is very aware of the image he wants to display to his fans, and it’s definitely not a “Fi-like” one. But you see in little gestures and actions that Jimin is aware of his feelings and emotions but he chooses to suppress them, which is (BREAKING NEWS) a thing many ExFP do. Promise or Filter (even if he didn’t write the last one) express very well how Jimin feels inside and how he is aware of how he is seen from the outside. 

3) Also people see his 2 wing as Fe because he’s caring, helping and always watching what other members are feeling like, but it’s not the same as using Fe, literally every type can behave like that especially with loved ones. 

I answered this because I found it out in drafts T___T but as I said weeks ago, my plan is to make a deep profile of Jimin’s MBTI!

one of the several reasons i have always found esfp jimin unlikely is his dancing style. hoseok and jungkook both have very spatially aware, fluid, outside-looking-in styles which is characteristic of Se-based movement, whereas jimin is all about control & using his muscles in the most precise way he can. he dances like someone with the classical training he has, but takes the characteristically Si-ish nature of ballet & contemporary and other classical styles even further. compared to hobi & jk he’s extremely “in his body” when he dances, rather than using the outside to orient himself like they do. plus all of the other rlly obvious Si behaviors he has like strong reactions to textures/flavors in food (his nemesis the mango, or sea food, ect) & his extremely classic inferior Si retreating to what’s familiar to him when facing committed change and frequent sentimentality. it all just screams overdeveloped lower Si

Isn't jin an intp too maybe that's why him and yoongi get along so much and understand each other ( flashbacks to bts in the soop)

jin uses a lot of Fe/Fi, it's usually feelers that get along with logic-heavy types (yoongi's second function is extroverted thinking, hence we know him as the ultimate pragmatist). you only have to have the same valued functions, that's the whole deal of it.

a logic type with Ti would get along less with say an extroverted type using secondary Fi like taehyung (and probably jimin). since Fi users rudimentarily employ and value Te, which is opposite to Ti which is always valued together with Fe like we see in joon's case.

long story short, jin probably uses a lot of introverted feeling around yoongi. he could actually be ESFP. then again, i always thought he's using secondary extroverted feeling and an introverted main function (say, Si). i don't entirely have his type down either, i just know he uses a lot of ethic functions.

bio;

↳ born and raised in san diego, california as the only child to lower middle class parents peter and linda choi.

↳ as a child sam was always much closer to his mom than his dad. she always seemed to understand the boy much better and didn’t try to make him play a “real sport” like his dad always did.

↳ at around six years old his mom enrolled him in dance classes, much to the dismay of his father, and sam took to it immediately. quickly becoming the most skilled in his year, the medals and trophies quickly filling up the small bookshelf in the corner of his room.  

↳ but when sam was around ten his mom was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer almost out of the blue. this dropped a bomb on his relatively normal life up until that point. the next nine months were spent in and out of hospitals as his mom got treatment, sam usually skipping dance practice to spend a few hours with her after school (he always got an earful from her about that but he continued to do it anyways).

↳ after she passed away he spent the next few years throwing himself into gymnastics in an attempt to not spend as much time at his house with his dad. their relationship had turned almost toxic at this point and sam spent any free time he had at his best friends house, their parents quickly turning into his second parents. they fed him, clothed him and always took him on any family vacations they went on.

↳ everything came to a head with his dad when he came home from school just a few days shy of his 18th birthday and found his bags packed waiting in the front hallway for him. his dad’s only reason being that he was almost an adult and he needed to support himself now, his job was done.

↳ without a second glance back sam took his bags and went immediately to his best friend’s house, who accepted him with open arms. he has not spoken to his father since he left the house that day.

↳ after graduating high school he spent the next few years doing college courses online while he continued to work on his dancing, paying for both on his own while he worked at the dance studio and at a small cafe downtown; all while living in the basement of his best friend’s parent’s house.

↳ after about a year he had finally saved up enough money to move out on his own and ended up in new york.

↳ can speak and understand conversational korean but cannot read or write it, much to the dismay of his entire family.

↳ third generation korean-american, his grandparents moved to the states in the early 1960′s.

↳ sam is perpetually confused about his sexuality. he grew up considering himself straight, having no issues in the lady department at all but was never one to shy away from appreciating a good looking guy (it never went any farther than that though). when he graduated high school and moved into the basement was when he really began to notice all the attractive humans around him. although he has accepted himself the way that he is, he is still way too terrified to even think about approaching anyone.

↳ is NOT a morning person, never was and probably never will be. the only time sam doesn’t have his sunshine personality on full display is in the first couple hours after he wakes up so he makes it a point to avoid everyone until he feels more like himself.

↳ sam is absolutely terrible about his phone. it’s always dead or broken and he almost prefers it that way. this boy always has at least 17 unread texts and 9 missed calls on his phone at all times. if you are trying to get in contact with him it’s best to just show up at his job.

↳ the duality this boy possesses is almost comical. day to day he is just sam, the ball of sunshine and happiness most people know him to be but the moment he steps into that dance studio he turns into a different person. he becomes the type of person you probably wouldn’t want to bring home to your parents. sam can turn this side of him on and off like a switch though most of the time he doesn’t realize that he is even doing it in the first place.

sam can be a sassy little shit when he wants to be, typically always joking around and always in a good mood. it’s very rare to see this boy have an off day. despite this sam has the most insane worth ethic which is why he is either practicing or working, rarely letting himself have any sort of off time (he prefers it this way tbh). it takes a lot to pull him away from the studio since his dream is to become a choreographer someday, he thinks if he takes time off he takes a step back from reaching it. at the end of the day sam is really just a giant ball of sunshine wrapped up in a cinnamon roll. all he wants is to be your friend and make sure you feel loved.
