He had to resist the urge to laugh in her face when she called herself a victim. His head turned to the side, and he stifled his amused expression before he faced her again. "No, I meant if I were him, I would have fucked you too," he clarified, keeping his voice at a conversational volume despite the words that just left his lips. Jesse lifted his glass, and took a sip of his drink, then he set it back down on the bar. "I don't think you're more terrible than him. I just think you're not better than him. But then... I'm not either."

"And what makes you think I'm more terrible than him? I'm the victim here." Emma raised her eyebrows at him. Sure, anyone who knew the whole story could make a compelling case against her, but what did he knew about it? "Boy, if by 'the same thing' you mean marry an idiot, I have some great news for you; The city is full of them. Just stand in a busy corner at rush hour and I bet you'll get married in less than a week."

Jesse opened the door, looking slightly flustered, with a smudge of flour on his cheek and Harper peering out from behind him, clearly trying not to laugh. A light haze of smoke lingered in the background, and the smell of something distinctly overcooked filled the air. "Hey," he said, rubbing his neck with a sheepish grin. "Didn’t think my ‘gourmet skills’ would be so noticeable."

"It’s bad," Harper piped up, unable to hold back her laughter. "He tried to make homemade pizza, and… well, let’s just say the pizza didn’t make it." Jesse shot Harper a mock-annoyed look, then turned back to Emma with a resigned shrug. "Clearly, I’m better off with a shovel and a herd of cattle than a kitchen. Thanks for coming over, though. Didn’t mean to smoke you out."

He glanced back at the mess in the kitchen, then back at her, a bit of a grin breaking through his embarrassment. "Any chance you know a good place that delivers? Because unless burnt crust is your thing, I’m afraid my cooking’s off the menu tonight." Harper tugged on his sleeve, giving Emma a hopeful look. "Or maybe you can give him some tips? He needs all the help he can get!"

Emma was curled up in her armchair, deep in her book when the smell of something burning pulled her back to reality. She looked around; the candle she had lit hadn't increased in flame and magically jumped to her curtains. No, the smell wasn't coming from her place at all. She looked up toward the vent, realizing that the smell was coming from her neighbors place. Grabbing her bookmark, she saved her place and went to the door, slipping into her flats before pocketing her keys and phone and heading out of her place and the few steps down the hall.

As she got closer to their door, the smell grew stronger and her nose wrinkled slightly before she knocked on the door. When it was pulled open, their frazzled demeanor was clear. "Uh hi, sorry to bother. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay, I could uh- smell your cooking from my place." she explained, running a hand through her short dark locks.

Glee cast sings Love For Sale, a collaborative album by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett

It’s De-Lovely (originally from “Red Hot and Blue) sung by Jake, Kitty, Marley, Ryder and Unique

-I think these five should have more songs together, this could maybe happen at the beginning of season 5, I don’t know in which context, but Unique would sing the first verse, than Jake and Kitty would sing the second and Ryder and Marley the last one

Night and Day (originally from “Gay Divorce”) sung by Emma and Will

-this could be sung either in season 4 or 5, I imagine this performance as something similar to You’re All the World to Me, both of them in tuxedos in a black and white scenario, very romantic

Love For Sale (originally from “The New Yorkers”) sung by Mercedes and Sam

-THEY DESERVED MORE DUETS, Human Nature was not enough to keep me fed, I need more Samcedes, and this one is like their song, it would simply be Sam acting as the bimbo puppy simp he is for Mercedes, while she would be wearing a luxurious dress all fancy and beautiful for him

Do I Love You (originally from “Du Barry Was a Lady”) sung by Brittany Pierce

-something that I don’t like about Brittana is how we always saw how much Santana liked Brittany but never the opposite, I feel like this song could be something that would showcase Brittany’s feelings for her in her own different Brittany way

I've Got You Under My Skin (originally from “Born to Dance”) sung by Artie and Quinn in “Ballad”

-this would be their ballad, I was sure there was going to be at least a scene of them practicing together since Artie looked very happy while Quinn didn’t, but nope, not even a mention of what they sung, I do find their voices to be a great mix, and both of them sound good at jazz so maybe it would give a great performance

I Concentrate on You (originally from “Broadway Melody”) sung by Jesse and Rachel

-sweet season 1 St. Berry duet of a song as old as time, probably would have a few more belts showcasing their talent and ego, also I never watched this musical but if it’s called Broadway Melody I’m sure they have seen it

I Get a Kick Out of You (originally from “Anything Goes”) sung by Blaine Anderson

-okay so, this is probably the only time a song wasn’t sung on glee, rather it was sung on the glee project by contender Charlie Lubeck, his performance is very okay, he had better ones but when I listened to his cover of the song I imagined Blaine singing it, I don’t know, I guess his voice fitted, and it would be one of his funny performances y’know?

So in Love (originally from “Kiss Me, Kate”) sung by Kurt Hummel in season 2

-I don’t quite remember if we had a song about Kurt being dumb dumb in love, frankly this would be a good one for him, while Tony is the one who sings all of it I’m sure Kurt’s more feminine voice would fit quite right, I can even imagine him performing this to the warblers with Blaine watching and being completely oblivious

Let’s Do It (originally from “Paris”) sung by Sam Evans in season 3

-this performance would basically be Sam going after Mercedes asking for them to fall in love again, he sings about animals and countries in a very Sam Evans way that I think would make this performance very sweet and cute

Dream Dancing (originally from “You’ll Never Get Rich”) sung by Mike and Tina

-sweet little song about dancing, perfectly suited for Mike-Tina-Cohen-Chang-Chang, since I don’t have anything else to add on this entry all I’m going to say is, this is the best song in this album

Just One of Those Things (originally from “Jubilee”) sung by Puck and Santana

-this would be a fantasy performance, it would have them in fancy clothing singing about their … rather different relationship, yknow they’re dating each other but they date Quinn and Brittany and Rachel and Mercedes and Finn and Lauren yet they’re still faithful to each other in the end? Everyday that headcanon that they’re beards becomes closer to reality

You’re the Top (originally from “Anything Goes”) sung by Hiram and LeRoy in “Heart”

-the only song here actually sung on glee and in my opinion it’s very boring, i mean the original is boring too it’s Gaga and Bennett that bring some joy to this song, I don’t have much else to add

Kingpin Strikes (Eleanor Bishop x OC)

Summary: The moment Emma lets her guard down is when Kingpin takes what she loves most; Eleanor.

Word Count: 834

Warnings: Angst, kidnapping, bombs, love confession

"Eleanor? Eleanor! Please, tell me you’re out here somewhere." With every word out of Emma's mouth she was losing hope. She’d just stepped away for a minute. Eleanor promised her it would be fine. She could go get them drinks and she’d be right there where she left her. But it wasn’t fine. Her world was falling apart all at once. Eleanor was gone.

She spent hours roaming the streets, losing track of time, losing her mind over this. She shouldn’t have stepped away, not even for a second. Emma let out an anguished cry into the dark and empty street. The scream reverberated off the nearby buildings and echoed back at her. This couldn’t be it. She would find her.

She didn’t want to involve Kate, not where Kingpin was involved, and he was certainly involved. Emma had been keeping tabs on Eleanor just as much as she’d been keeping them on Kate. No, this was something she had to do alone. If only she knew where to start.

Emma made her way to Times Square, needing to lose herself in a crowd because she couldn’t think in silence. Before she had a chance to plan her first move, an interruption sounded from the many screens of Times Square. "White Knight," boomed a deep voice, drawing the attention of almost every passerby, "we have your Bishop."

A recording then began to play. It was Eleanor, visibly unharmed, but at the edge of tears. Something had been done to her, even if Emma couldn’t see what. She tried to observe and catalog everything, but there wasn’t much to go on. Outside. There were leaves rustling in the background. A park, perhaps? Central Park? "I would hurry if I were you. We have much to discuss, and she doesn’t have much time."

Emma, head craned up at the nearest of the screens, watched as they all went black before returning to their usual programming. She burst into a run, thinking for the entire distance, It should have been me. Her lungs burned with the sheer effort it took her to reach Central Park. And it was no small space to explore. But she knew it had to be somewhere remote. She didn’t have much time to think, so she went with her gut and headed for the Shakespeare Garden.

Scanning benches and ducking behind hedges, Emma's heart beat double time in hopes she’d find Eleanor around the next corner. This part of the park wasn’t very populated at this time of night, so any noise she heard could be Eleanor or Kingpin, she just had to listen.

A faint sound of crying caught her attention and Emma headed straight for it, not caring that it might be a trap, as this whole thing so clearly was already. As she rounded the bend, she saw her. "Eleanor," she cried out in relief.

At the sound of Emma's voice, Eleanor looked up, her eyes conveying fear unlike she’d ever seen. "Don’t come any closer. I can’t move. There’s a pressurized bomb under this bench and if I get up, it goes off." Emma froze. Diffusing a bomb was not something on her to do list. She’d managed it once or twice before, but then she’d had someone in her earpiece grinding her through it. Today, she was without that luxury.

"That was faster than expected." Kingpin came out from the shadows, leisurely advancing towards Emma. "As you know, your little girlfriend here wants out of my business. I don’t take kindly to people who want out. But I may be willing to strike a deal. You come and work for me, and I’ll let her go."

"Simple as that? Forgive me for not believing you," Emma shot back, standing her ground. She couldn’t push too far and piss him off. She couldn’t fuck this up. Not with Eleanor at stake.

Kingpin chuckled darkly. "It is that simple. You’re in. She’s out. Unharmed, might I add. Whatever you pull her into from there is on you."

"Disable the bomb and let her walk away."

"Emma, no!"

Emma turned to Eleanor, still rooted in place out of fear and self preservation. "I’m the White Knight, remember? I’m your White Knight. It’s my job to save you and if this is how I’m able to do that, then so be it. I love you." It was the first time she had said it so plainly and it had stunned Eleanor into silence. "Let me do this for you."

She turned back to Kingpin. "I accept your deal, now let her go."

Kingpin pressed a button on the remote in his hand, and a high pitched beep rang out. "You’re free to go, Ms. Bishop." Slowly, Eleanor shifted, as if testing the truth of his words. Eventually she stood and no bomb went off. He’d kept his word. Emma didn’t know what this meant for her, but Eleanor had come out a free woman, and that’s all she could ask for.
