A Centenary Celebration of Sherlock Holmes 1887-1987, Granada companion magazine

Granada promotional booklet from 1987 with introduction by Vincent Price and a brief profile/interview with Jeremy Brett (pdf).

I ordered this off of ebay and it was delivered to my house lovingly packed in the shell of an old sony vaio laptop. Apologies for the scan quality, I'll try to make a better one at some point. Anyway, enjoy this snippet below from Jeremy Brett and click the pdf link to look at the full booklet.

If I had ever had the honour of meeting Rathbone - I've met some of his friends, and his godson, and they say he was a splendid person - I'd have said the same: "You are Sherlock Holmes." 'I'm not. I don't even look like Holmes. Rathbone hardly needed make-up. He could almost walk straight on to the set. It takes Susan Milton at least forty five minutes to put my make-up on. And I'm not like Holmes as a person. He was a tremendous realist; I'm a romantic. He was an introvert, I'm an extrovert. He was immensely serious, I'm rather a jolly chap. Anyway, Mike Cox seemed keen for me to play the role, and he impressed me at once as a man of excellent judgement. That was one inducement for me to have a go. The other was that he was also very keen for Granada to screen a series of Sherlock Holmes stories which got the Conan Doyle text absolutely correct. In particular Mike wanted to get the first faithful rendering of Watson, and of the relationship between him and Holmes. 'He got it. The first Watson I was cast with, David Burke, was the breakthrough for the "real" Watson. The second, Edward Hardwicke, followed up with equal integrity and sensitivity.'

He tried grabbing the ice cube out before it slide down his back all the way but failed. By the time he turned back to look at you, you were gone.

Mike is NOT amused. He isn’t going to let you get away with this, so watch your back. He’ll be coming for you-

Yikes. He squabbles to get the ice cube out of his shirt before whipping around and looking at you with a “What is wrong with you” look. What Fritz lacks in words he’ll give in his facial expressions. Probably will also verbally state “What are you doing???” While squinting his eyes at you.

Will he get you back?….maybe…probably.

He’ll holler. Quickly doing that pinch motion of lifting it off his back and trying to get the ice cube to fall out as fast as possible.

“W-why?…” is probably what he’ll ask as he turns around to look at you.

Definitely wasn’t expecting it. He jumped when you dropped it down his shirt. Turned around and he gave you a very annoyed facial expression and he’ll sigh in turn to what you did.

“Really..?” Maybe he should’ve expected it since everyone usually likes messing with him since he’s the more “serious” or “responsible” one in the group. Classified as a bit of a stick in the mud at times as they’d say.-

Excuse you? Did you just drop an ice cube down his shirt? He’ll straighten his back at the sudden cold touch of ice hitting his skin and quickly try getting it out by pulling the back of his shirt to make space for it to slip out quicker. He’ll turn around and give you an annoyed look in return for what you just did.

“Wow, real mature.” He’ll remark but..he isn’t exactly the most mature either. You’ll receive an ice cube to the back as well. Soon. Very soon. Too soon.. the next time he sees you.

BIG ANNOUCEMENT

Hello all! It's certainly been a while but I've come with good news!

There have been characters of Affinity that have been sold without others knowing, this has led others to get rather annoyed since they only think one person can buy these characters...

... Well, that ends today!

There are characters of Affinity that I don't have any use for anymore, the old designs from 2014-2020 that I don't use in my current AU have no use to me anymore, and I don't want for them to go to waste without a good home for them to have, which is why I've decided to announce that all the old designs from 2014-2020 that I don't use in my current AU are now available to be sold to the public!

Though, these designs have had a big impact on me, and I would like to say that I don't wish to sell them for anything less than $30. Please keep that in mind!

It was weird, I was uh working day shift and the original Chica had gotten out onto the show floor, but she didn't do anything like she does to the night guards! She actually tried to work the floor like she did in her original restaurant, it was kinda sad,,, uhm until the next night I worked night shift... blergh...

Oh! This is an easy one, A parent comes in with their kids and everything is normal til the parent just- POOFS leaves, and the kids are like oh yeah she does that :) guess your our babysitter now. AND OBVIOUSLY IM LIKE WHAT?!? NOO??? But I have to be we can't have any more missing children cases sooooo- AND then the parent comes back at 8PM. TWO HOURS AFTER CLOSING.

And she looks like she just came out of a drag queens vagina, straight up covered in glitter and sequins, EXHAUSTED, like ok woman i get your working or something but get a babysitter jfc! i hate working retail sometimes.
