Dumb/random Star Wars au idea:
So there are twin Jedi siblings. After order 66, the edgy one becomes an inquisitor, while the other stays a jedi on the run/trying not to be discovered. (The edgy one gave themselves up willing). The edgy one keeps on trying to kill the other one, but because their sibling knows all of their fighting moves, the edgy one keeps on failing miserably. It gets to the point where every time the jedi sibling hear a lightsaber ignite, they know it's their edgy sibling. While there may have been sympathy for their edgy sibling. The sympathy quickly fizzled out after it was the 300th attack this week. The edgy one is obsessed with ending their Jedi sibling or at least capturing them. While their Jedi sibling is completely done with this, their edgy sibling isn't even a threat to them. They just find their edgy sibling annoying at this point. They just want to have a good night's sleep without their edgy sibling monologuing. It just ends up becoming petty sibling rivalry, with one sibling picking fights the entire time and the other one just wanting to be left alone. I guess the edgy sibling is like a cartoon villain and the other one is just done with their sibling's antics and stupidity.
Monologue ideas:
Idea 1
Inquisitor: "So we finally meet at last"
Jedi: "Are you kidding me? This is the 20th time this week! Get a life!"
Idea 2
Inquisitor: "You will pay for what you did to me"
Jedi: "It was a cookie when we were 5!"
Inquisitor: "You ate the last one"
Jedi: "I already said sorry 1000 times! And I got you a new one!"
Inquisitor: " It had raisins in it"
Idea 3
Inquisitor with an additional Inquisitor as back up: "You will not escape this time Jedi."
Jedi : " So you're capable of making friends. Congratulations."
Idea 4
Jedi opens up a door to find the Inquisitor inside the room waiting for them. The Jedi immediately shuts the door and walks away.

Cal, who is just glad Kanan isn’t depressed as fuck still: I had mine first
Kanan might’ve had the cooler (pronounced: traumatising) knighting ceremony and facial scar, BUT CAL HAD IT FIRST

din djarin, age 10: clone wars refugee child

#star wars#din djarin#boba fett#redbean talks#meanwhile jango; age 14: the actual mand'alor#very funny to realize that din and boba are almost the same age#when you look at the difference in what they were doing for most of the clone wars#din at age ten was a small frightened child hiding from super battle droids behind a space dumpster(?)#boba at age ten was jangos copilot/getaway driver for jedi-hunting missions (and also an equally small child)#then three years later was a full blown crime boss and involved in human trafficking#i really want to see more of the mundane conversations about raising grogu#like among the mandos there's#din (children of the watch hardcore mando): i must teach my small son to shoot#boba (literally-lifelong bounty hunter raised in child soldier central): do you want recommendations for good starting blasters#bo katan: i asked the armorer to make a custom set of knives too btw#the armorer (already made armor for small son): dont you think he needs a flametrhower for his birthday#and then the Associates#they've got ig11 (trigger happy assassin droid); fennec (experienced bounty hunter who fought cad bane at age early-20s?)#krrsantan (crazy gladiator probably-madclaw); koska (tackled boba as an introduction); axe (stabbed paz over a game of chess)#and then. there is Luke.#imagine everyone pondering over how to modify a disruptor rifle to fit very small arms#(because boba's absolutely going to spoil his small green nephew)#and luke just in the background like 'maybe we should. not? give the preschooler a deadly weapon? this is not safe?'#din: eh he's smart he'll be fine#luke; fearing for his life: it's not him im worried about-

I have further thoughts on the below that I think compromise my point a bit. I will be updating this soonish with them
the framing so often ascribed to the pt that the galaxy was doomed/the republic fell because of One Guy's attachment is so wrong and yet so prevalent that one has no choice but to assume everyone is out here with horse blinkers on 24/7. anakin's flaws and fall are central to the narrative because he is the main character. at no point in the pt is he ever actually crucial to the fall of democracy or whatnot* - his attachment to luke, and luke's attachment to him save the galaxy. but they don't doom it. the fall of democracy is explicitly linked to political scheming and manoeuvring by palpatine; it's almost an inevitability in the pt lol!

I was reading (watching?) somewhere that as the clone wars progressed, the Jedi were beginning to lose their connection to the Force. And I cannot even begin to understand how terrifying and devastating that was for them.
I can't even imagine.
This thing that has guided them all their lives is suddenly disappearing. Their connection to their culture and their livelihood is being taken from them, and they can't put their finger on why.
The amount of confusion, fear, and anger Mace himself must have been feeling due to this makes me so sad for him. Because i'm sure a good number of it was directed at himself and his situation.
And it turns out he was right all along about who it was coming from, and was powerless to stop it.
(I think alot about how the Jedi put Anakin up on a pedestal of privilege, but it makes me sad to know they gave him everything they had and he still chose evil over them. That he toyed with them, and their connection to the Force. That he got to be the Chosen One while others arguably deserved it more)
And still, Mace died because he chose the path of the Jedi, and trusted the Force even when the Force was being shielded from him, because he still gave Anakin a chance

No Skywalker drama and trauma, just top of the line shenanigans and wholesome goodness

GUESS WHO'S FINALLY WATCHING TBB!
I watched the pilot ep when it came out and then promptly got bored with the second ep. I pushed through this time and now I'm obsessed. The batch are all my babies now, i love them so much. Even crosshair. I hated him in the 1st season (mainly because wow the silent ominous morally dubious one went evil what a surprise) but s2 cross? The character development oh my gosh. And by that I mean the mayday episode. Singlehandedly converted me to being a crosshair fan.
My favourite ep (after pabu) was probably gungi's episode because gungi my baby! Im in star wars for the jedi, this should be no surprise. My heart is absolutely broken though because if gungi is alone that means ALL THE OTHER YOUNGLINGS ARE DEAD. Brb, im still crying about the implied death of my favourite jedi babies. Gungi's doing amazinf though, i love him so much (plus the implication that he was taught wookie culture and beliefs BY THE JEDI made me happy)
All this to say, I just got to the s2 pabu episode and TECHPHEE MY BELOVED! I'm shipping them so hard, but I know that he dies at some point (end of s2? Or 3? Not sure, guess it'll be a fun surprise!), and I'm not ready for this
Genuinely considering just...stopping now. Theyre all going to ive happily ever after on pabu, and techphee are going to get married the end.

Thinking about padawan Cal being on Coruscant during Fives’ arc and somehow running into him and getting an echo off of something Fives had on him. Then helping him, whether by getting him in contact with Quinlan somehow (I think the council would be more likely to believe him over a child, even if they could feel Cal wasn’t lying)
Or in a disaster lineage Cal AU going “I’m gonna call my dads, no offense (full offense) to Anakin, but I think he likes the Chancellor too much to think rationally about this.” and then calling Cody and Obi-Wan, and Palpatine’s plot is uncovered and everything is OKAY and Fives is OKAY and nothing bad ever happens again.

Ok, since you opened it up to AU requests from other fandoms, and since you've been TGE-posting the last two days . . . I would LOVE to see a snippet of Maia and co. (any "and co" will do, but my first choice is Csethiro or Beshelar and Cala) in a SW AU. (Also do not feel pressured to do this. I recognize it is kind of borderline on the list of what prompts you're looking for. I'm just. I think it sounds fun.)
OH MY GOSH friend. I was literally JUST thinking about this idea. Like yesterday. This is more a set up for the au than anything else but enjoy it all the same, there is a good chance I snap and write an addition later on:
When Emperor Palpatine died suddenly (from what, it was still unknown. A failure of the heart in his sleep, poison, assassination from enemies both close at hand or mysterious were all explored and summarily rejected), the Senate went into an uproar trying to determine his heir. The Empire had only been a true Empire for fifteen years—the succession rules were unclear, to say the least. There were those who campaigned for a political replacement, for a new election.
But those closest to Emperor Palpatine claimed to know his will. That his rule would be passed on to his closest kin, his half nephew. There was much murmuring over who this half nephew was. They knew of the half brother—a proud man who, unlike his fellow Nabooans, put no stock in the beauty of art and craftsmanship, but seemed to relish the art of war and profit.
However, Varenechibel (for so he was called) had died in a ship crash earlier that year, along with his three eldest sons. The fourth remained—a half human boy of eighteen, who had been raised by a distant cousin on an Outer Rim planet, safely out of the way.
He was out of the way no longer, and rumors flew thick and fast about this Maia Drazhar—whether he would be a ruler like his uncle, if the stories of his mother were true, calling the boy himself an inbred fool who would run their Empire into the ground. Very few had any faith in him, and most hoped that Mas Amedda, the Emperor’s Grand Vizier, would steer him in the right direction.
Some, like Senator Organa or Senator Berenar, seemed to hold out hope. Though when the boy himself finally appeared—tall and awkward and dark-skinned, accompanied by his scowling guardian and an elegant looking Twi’lek man who was as pale as the new Emperor was dark—hope did seem to flicker out. It would seem, it was remarked, that Mas Amedda had his puppet after all.
This all changed a month into the new Emperor’s—who, in Naboo fashion, had chosen a ruling name of Edrehasivar—rule, during which he hired two bodyguards of decidedly non-human descent, politely ignored Mas Amedda’s every suggestion, and began quietly ruling in a way that would have made Palpatine’s heart, should he have possessed one, quail with rage and horror.
The general Senate was up in arms, Bail Organa found himself positively delighted, and a young Umbaran woman, whose family was currently in negotiations of a personal sort with the Emperor, was revising her opinions rather rapidly. Csethiro Ceredin hadn’t expected much of Emperor Edrehasivar. What she had expected had been disproved, and she found she would be very interested to see what came of the Emperor’s rule.
She was far from the only one.
