Dumb/random Star Wars au idea:
So there are twin Jedi siblings. After order 66, the edgy one becomes an inquisitor, while the other stays a jedi on the run/trying not to be discovered. (The edgy one gave themselves up willing). The edgy one keeps on trying to kill the other one, but because their sibling knows all of their fighting moves, the edgy one keeps on failing miserably. It gets to the point where every time the jedi sibling hear a lightsaber ignite, they know it's their edgy sibling. While there may have been sympathy for their edgy sibling. The sympathy quickly fizzled out after it was the 300th attack this week. The edgy one is obsessed with ending their Jedi sibling or at least capturing them. While their Jedi sibling is completely done with this, their edgy sibling isn't even a threat to them. They just find their edgy sibling annoying at this point. They just want to have a good night's sleep without their edgy sibling monologuing. It just ends up becoming petty sibling rivalry, with one sibling picking fights the entire time and the other one just wanting to be left alone. I guess the edgy sibling is like a cartoon villain and the other one is just done with their sibling's antics and stupidity.
Monologue ideas:
Idea 1
Inquisitor: "So we finally meet at last"
Jedi: "Are you kidding me? This is the 20th time this week! Get a life!"
Idea 2
Inquisitor: "You will pay for what you did to me"
Jedi: "It was a cookie when we were 5!"
Inquisitor: "You ate the last one"
Jedi: "I already said sorry 1000 times! And I got you a new one!"
Inquisitor: " It had raisins in it"
Idea 3
Inquisitor with an additional Inquisitor as back up: "You will not escape this time Jedi."
Jedi : " So you're capable of making friends. Congratulations."
Idea 4
Jedi opens up a door to find the Inquisitor inside the room waiting for them. The Jedi immediately shuts the door and walks away.

Thinking about padawan Cal being on Coruscant during Fives’ arc and somehow running into him and getting an echo off of something Fives had on him. Then helping him, whether by getting him in contact with Quinlan somehow (I think the council would be more likely to believe him over a child, even if they could feel Cal wasn’t lying)
Or in a disaster lineage Cal AU going “Im gonna call my dads, no offense (full offense) to Anakin, but I think he likes the Chancellor too much to think rationally about this.” and then calling Cody and Obi-Wan, and Palpatine’s plot is uncovered and everything is OKAY and Fives is OKAY and nothing bad ever happens again.

I was reading (watching?) somewhere that as the clone wars progressed, the Jedi were beginning to lose their connection to the Force. And I cannot even begin to understand how terrifying and devastating that was for them.
I can't even imagine.
This thing that has guided them all their lives is suddenly disappearing. Their connection to their culture and their livelihood is being taken from them, and they can't put their finger on why.
The amount of confusion, fear, and anger Mace himself must have been feeling due to this makes me so sad for him. Because i'm sure a good number of it was directed at himself and his situation.
And it turns out he was right all along about who it was coming from, and was powerless to stop it.
(I think alot about how the Jedi put Anakin up on a pedestal of privilege, but it makes me sad to know they gave him everything they had and he still chose evil over them. That he toyed with them, and their connection to the Force. That he got to be the Chosen One while others arguably deserved it more)
And still, Mace died because he chose the path of the Jedi, and trusted the Force even when the Force was being shielded from him, because he still gave Anakin a chance

Regarding the Acolyte ask and your tag about Master Bald Shrek (oh my gosh Bald Shrek 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭) and yeah coming from the High Republic books fandom with a 100 years younger Master Vernestra: we have no idea why she's like this either and personally I think it sucks. I was so excited to see her in live-action, why'd they make my girl change so much in 100 years to become that. Do not like.😭
omg what she was a canon character before the show??? you poor Old Republic fans you were done so atrociously dirty w the acolyte

Obi-Wan and Yoda have no obligations to the Rebellion. There isn't even a Rebellion to be obligated TO when they go into hiding initially. And Obi-Wan IS doing his duty to the Rebellion by protecting one of Anakin's children (they believe Anakin's children might be the only people ultimately capable of taking down the Sith, but they also know that if Anakin and Palpatine get ahold of Luke and Leia and turn them into Sith, all hope is lost). Obi-Wan also clearly has a direct communication to Bail and Breha that they can utilize in dire need, so he's not completely removed from the Rebellion.
Obi-Wan and Yoda are intended to be last resorts. They're considered public enemy #1 to the Empire and if they were out there more obviously fighting in the Rebellion, they'd be getting constantly hunted down by the Empire's full might and probably wouldn't last very long. They might even, at least in the beginning, be more of a hindrance than a help because they could draw attention to a fledgling Rebellion and end up killing it before it has a chance to grow at all. Obi-Wan and Yoda are people the Rebellion has in their back pocket for if all hope is about to be lost and they need to pull out a miracle.
There aren't enough Jedi left to force the few survivors to keep fighting on the front lines, especially when there's next to zero support to keep them from being immediately hunted down and murdered by the Empire. It helps nobody to do that. Ahsoka fights from the shadows for most of her tenure in the Rebellion, but we see in the Kenobi show how quickly Obi-Wan is discovered when he does leave Tatooine. It's a matter of a few DAYS before the Empire is on his tail and he barely manages to escape with the help of other people.
I do think that the whole purpose of Obi-Wan and Yoda being in hiding has been made a little muddied by all of the Jedi characters who have been shown to be fighting in the Rebellion (Ahsoka, Cal, Kanan and Ezra) and so now people go "well if they could do it, why couldn't Obi-Wan and Yoda?" And I get that, but I feel like it misses the point of why Obi-Wan and Yoda chose to go into hiding in the first place. They're protecting the potential future of the Jedi and the last Force sensitive children they even know are left to protect, as well as protecting themselves as potential future assets to the Rebellion and the fight against the Sith and the Empire.

Whenever a Jedi tries to hide under a hood it’s the equivalent of the Avengers hiding by wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses
Did Ahsoka really think this would work?

"I think," Obi-Wan said carefully, "that abstractions like peace don't mean much to him. He's loyal to people, not to principles. And he expects loyalty in return" Obi-Wan on Anakin Skywalker
Tbh while I really love a lot of passages from Stover ROTS novel this one in which Obi-Wan says that "Anakin doesn´t understand abstractions concepts like peace" is so wrong.
Anakin as a 9 year old child wanted to give "Freedom for all the slaves" if he didn´t understand freedom as an abstract concept he would have been ok with just him and his mother being free but no, he wanted to end slavery on Tatooine, even the outer rim, he just lacked the power to do it.
In the war he wasn´t fighting just to protect Padmé or Obi-Wan or Ahsoka or Rex or the Jedi Order or Palpatine, he was fighting for peace in the republic, the one thing he asked Palpatine after turning to the darkside was Will we have peace? to which Palpatine answered Yes.
As Vader he told Luke he wanted him to help him install "Order in the Galaxy" and "End this destructive conflict" which actually implies he obviously noticed the Empire had become a big part of the problem and the rebel alliance had reason for their fight, just like the republic and separatist were in his youth.
So my guess is that what Obi-Wan didn´t understand about Anakin was that Anakin was forced by the Jedi Order to compromise his real values as a member of the Order, he compromised his wish for justice and freedom for the slaves and his mother in order to learn to be a jedi, he compromised his love for Padmé and wish for a family in order to help the order fight in the clone wars, he compromised his wish for a free Tatooine in order to help Jabba´s Son, so he compromised a lot until he compromised his soul to learn how to save Padmé just like the Order keep compromising itself during the war by becoming the owners of the clone army and that was something that Anakin keep doing even as Vader.
In fact Lucas said about Windu and Palpatine duel in ROTS "Anakin´s thoughts when Windu tried to murder Palpatine was that everybody was corrupt in the end" he would not have cared much about corruption if he only was lead by his personal relationships.
I also think that despite Obi-Wan´s care for Anakin his identity of being a Jedi was always more important for him which is fine because they were his family but in the same way Anakin also had the right to defend and protect his family and not being forced to choose between them and the "good of the galaxy" or his "chosen one prohecy" the moment he no longer did this, the moment he defended his family and was congruent with his ideals, was the moment he was able to come back from the darkside and that´s not coincidence, that´s the conflict Luke talked about in ROTJ, a conflict that started the moment Anakin was forced to compromise his ideals and the safety and life or his loved ones in favor of supporting the Jedi Order.
Obi-Wan keep his alliance to the Jedi Order without compromising it for Anakin´s sake, he did his best to murder Anakin once he turned to the darkside, the only reason Anakin didn´t die was because of Palpatine and after discovering he was actually alive, he tried to make Anakin´s Son murder him so while I believe Obi-Wan cared for Anakin at some point, his turn to the darkside and his actions in Oder 66 made Obi-Wan lie to himself, telling himself Anakin was dead to be able to kill him, which made his actions to dehumanize and try to kill Anakin easier and justifiy to himself using Anakin´s own family to kill him.
This is my personal problem with Obi-Wan, he never gets in conflict like Anakin did because he believes he is always in the right, no matter who gets hurt in the middle and while that doesn´t make him a monster it did lead him to actions that can´t objetively be considered good even if they were done for a good end. he has that "Ends justifies the means mentality" the Order adopted in the late stage of the clone wars so it´s pretty ironic he believes it´s Anakin the one who has a problem with his values.

Obi-Wan, Nari (Obi-Owan Kenobi TV show), Jay (Visions) and A'Sharad Hett (legends comics) are all jedi that end up on Tatooine after order 66. That might not seem like a lot, but there were only 10,000 jedi before order 66, and probably only a few hundred after it. Also there are about 3.2 billion systems in the galaxy. This means Tatooine was probably the most common jedi hiding spot.
