Lyutsifer Safin X Reader Angsty Prompt with a cute ending

!TW: Implied suffering from depression!

“You can��t hide from me, Y/n!” Safin shouted through the door; you’d run away and locked yourself in your old cell like you usually did after a heated argument like the one you’d just had with him. Safin then suddenly felt quite dejected, and overwhelmed by his feelings as he begged for you to come out. “I - I’m sorry,” he expressed weakly, “I didn’t - didn’t mean anything I said.. I love you, Y/n, p-please come out.” Safin felt worse when he heard you cry ‘no’ on the other side of the door, and he didn’t know what to do with himself, his eyes filling with tears. “Is my soul too dark for you?” Safin inquired, and you frowned, feeling bad for a moment.

You tried to harden your heart against him after everything he’d said to you, a hurt look on your face as you thought about the cruel things he’d called you whilst you both had been arguing. “Go to Hell!” You yelled, and he faltered, leaning heavily against the wall beside the cell door.

“I don’t want to,” he replied, “there’s nothing left down there except old bones and lost souls, and you aren’t there, so why would I want to be there if you aren’t there with me?” Safin drew a shaky breath; he had been hoping you’d open the door and come out so he could try to make things right again between the two of you. “Please don’t stay in there,” he begged, “I don’t like being separated from you; I - I need to see you, please.. At least fight back against me. Why do you run away from your problems all the time?”

You scoffed, shaking your head. “I’m not the one running away from my problems, Safin,” you retorted, “you are! And that’s why we keep fighting all the time!”

Safin fell quiet, and nodded gravely; he knew you were right. “You’re right, Y/n,” he murmured, “I - I’m sorry. I will try harder, I promise, just please come out. If I lose you, I lose everything; you’re my soulmate.” You hesitantly stood up and opened the door, relieving Safin as he threw his arms around you, a strained sob escaping his lips. You returned the hug, surprised. “I love you so much,” he whispered shakily, and you managed a weak smile, lifting your right hand to the back of his head.

“I love you, too,” you returned, “and I - I’m so sorry for fighting with you.”

“I’m sorry, too,” he expressed, “I’ll never fight like that with you again.”

“I won’t, either,” you stated, vowing to never let an argument between him and you turn into the brawl it had become earlier again.

Thinking about soft Severitus. Just the two of them calmly in one another’s prescence. It so rarely occurs considering all the drama and arguments, but every once in a while, the stars align allowing for them to sit together on Severus’s couch with the fire burning in front of them.

Harrys head is practically in Sevs lap as he cards his hands through Harry’s hair absent mindedly while reading. Harry is on the precipice of sleep, barely there, comfortable and safe in a way he’s never felt before.

Originally they had music playing in the background. Maybe from the radio, maybe from an antique music player, either way now the only thing that’s left to hear is the sound of their breaths. They’re deep and even puffs of air.

Y'all. This fic. It is SO GOOD.

James Bond was my first real fandom. I grew up watching the movies with my dad, it was a whole bonding thing (dad jokes 4ever). He took me to see Goldeneye in the theatre and bought me a Nintendo 64 just so I could get the game. That summer I sat down and read every book with a sort of horrified fascination because, frankly, Fleming was unhinged. Totally racist and sexist and Bond, as a character, is just a walking study in cognitive dissonance and trauma. To say James Bond is problematic is a serious understatement. But he is fascinating and I admit that Bond movie marathons are a comfort thing for me.

So imagine my intense delight at finding a series that captures ALL the things I love about Bond, but queers him and deftly examines the homophobia of the 1950s. The characters are compelling, the relationships are intense, pacing is fantastic, there just isn't anything I don't love about this fic. You probably can read it with very minimal Bond exposure and enjoy it but if you are a fan you really HAVE to read this.

I am absolutely bribing myself into being productive with the promise that I can read the rest of this series after I get my to-do list done.

“I suppose,” Safin began weakly after he’d told you everything about what had happened to his family, “we tripped on the urge to feel alive, whilst they decided amongst themselves that they didn’t need us anymore, and there is no greater terror than watching something you love fall right in front of your eyes.”

“C-Can I-?” You warily responded, before you shuffled closer to him, until you could wrap your arms around him slowly. Safin relaxed momentarily, returning the hug when he felt as if he could. “I’m sorry you had to go through that,” you expressed, “but you’re not alone anymore. You have me, and Emily.”

Safin nodded, smiling weakly as he held you at arm’s length. “I can’t believe I got a what you call makeshift first date with you,” he mused, “let alone a year.”

You couldn’t help, but giggle, nodding your head. “I would have been surprised before, but - now,” you replied, and fell quiet, before you pulled him into another hug. Safin’s smile grew whilst he returned the hug, and you rested your head on his shoulder, feeling content in his arms. “I love you so much,” you whispered, and Safin glanced down at you, before he lifted his right hand to stroke your hair.

“I love you, too, Y/n,” he returned, before he lowered his head to press a kiss to the top of your’s.

“What should we do today?” You inquired after both you and Safin had begun to stir in the morning, and he would try not to think about how his workers really needed him to manage them rather than a substitute for him; he had promised to spend the day with you, and you’d requested for him to not talk about things work related.

Safin appeared unsure of what you both should do, and you appeared puzzled, too, though you’d been thinking about things you both could do the night before; you’d just been so excited to spend more time with him. “I’ll do whatever you want to do, Y/n,” he stated, and you winced, trying to think again, but nothing was coming to mind yet.

“Why don’t we just - Stay in bed until one of us can think of something to do?” You suggested, and Safin nodded, before he wrapped his arms around you to ease you closer to him. You lazily returned the hug, and he buried his face into the front of your neck, allowing you to rest your chin upon his head.

Yesterday night I felt sick with my stomach and stayed awake all night making audio recordings to my best friend about watching Quantum of Solace for the first time (I am still finishing it) and then I started randomly talking about 00q and accidentally opened up the Pandora Box of my memories but I instantly remembered everything I ever knew about 00q like when it got adopted by the BBC Sherlock fandom or the Paddington is the new Quartermaster stuff or when everybody was obsessed with the fucking Téméraire and it was EVERYWHERE and everybody made the joke "It's a ship!!!" and the age difference discourse between James and Q and Q being called Quentin and Mycroft and Sherlock being Q older brothers and disapproving of his relationship with James Bond and the fucking tea mugs and so many cats and everybody talking about Q's jumpers and making up OC minions for him and every fanfiction in which James retires to be with Q because he was the only one he ever loved aside from Vesper and Q feeling insecure because of her and all then Madeleine Sawnn came along and everybody was distraught even though the flirting was there in Spectre and we were all distraught because we could have had it all and so many fix it fics so many fics about James cosntantly loosing his gadgets and how hard it was for Q to watch him seduce other people and everybody was saying they were grumpy x sunshine/black cat x Golden retriver coded BUT THEY WERE NOT ACTUALLY in my humble opinion but they were easily flustered x flirting menace and Q had such salty one-liners and everybody believed he was a posh boy and do you remember when years later you had the same museum scene with Hannibal it was clearly a parallel and then there was No Time To Die and Q was officially queer oh my God oh my fucking God it was CANON he TOTALLY CANONICALLY MUST HAVE HAD A CRUSH ON BOND and we saw THE CATS and WHO WAS Q WAITING FOR?????? James must have been jealous but then the movie was what it was and a lot of people hated it and all of the fix it fics in which Bond said his last words to Q because it was always Q it will always be Q and also everybody making up names for him names were such a huge deal Q revealing his name to James in his last moments grieving fics in which James died but you also had silly ones and spicy ones uhhh a lot of those because sometimes you just need to ignore canon and see them happy and maybe both retiring or maybe they kept working flirting over the comms and annoying everyone at MI6 which wasn't exactly Avengers "Everybody Lives in The Tower" au but it was close they weren't a found family per se but some of them were very close there used to be edits on youtube yeah before TikTok came along youtube edits were A ThingTM with all those retrica-looking filters and pop songs or sad love songs and fake trailers who remembers those or like scenes edited to look like they were from a romcom and comments on the scenes written in small usually white text that were meant to reflect the character inner thoughts like "That's hot" or "He's so annoying I need to kiss him" or "BITCH" and fics in which Q was kidnapped and James went berserk and a few years ago Knives Out came out and we tried to to have Bond and Benoit Blanc related do you also remember that?
