James Potter and Y/N Malfoy were the definition of opposites. He was Gryffindor's golden boy, with his wild hair, quick wit and charming smile. She was the fierce embodiment of a snake, with her piercing eyes, her cutting and aggressive comments and intimidating air. Their relationship was a whirlwind of personalities and heated exchanges, but somehow it worked, which many people couldn't understand how.

It hadn't been easy. When they first started dating, their friends had been incredulous, to say the least. Sirius had nearly fallen out of bed in shock when he found out. Remus raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything, while Peter simply gaped, looking paler than usual.

Regulus and Pandora, Y/N's best and only friends, were also a little shocked to hear the news. Regulus' eyes widened unnaturally as he looked at his best friend as if she had suddenly said the craziest thing, while Pandora began clapping and jumping up and down in joy at the news.

Despite initial resistance, James and Y/N persisted. Their relationship was far from calm. They fought often and loudly, but their arguments were like storms: fierce and intense, but before long they were as if nothing had happened.

One afternoon, James was convincing himself that he was studying in the library when Y/N burst in with a furious look on her face. Without a word, she dropped her books on the table with a thud and sat down opposite him, massaging her forehead.

"Hey darling, rough day?" James asked, his tone light.

Y/N sighed in frustration. "You could say that."

James reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "Wanna talk about it?"

For a moment, she looked like she might snap at him, but then her expression softened slightly. "Just the usual. Some idiot in Potions thought he could show off and ended up nearly blowing up the classroom and it turned out to be my partner."

James chuckled and squeezed her hand. "You know, you don't always have to be so tough."

Y/N looked at him and her eyes searched his. "I know, but it's hard to let my guard down."

James leaned in, his voice gentle. "You can with me." and then kissed her hands.

Their relationship continued to be a rollercoaster, but it was a ride neither of them wanted to get off. They balanced each other in unexpected ways—James's lightheartedness softened Y/N's nerves, while her strength kept him with his feets on the ground.

One afternoon, Dorcas found herself pondering once again the mystery of their relationship. She watched as Y/N barked orders during Quidditch practice, her imposing presence and furious face impossible to ignore. James, who was also on the field, looked at her with the same loving gaze.

"Merlin, James," sighed Dorcas as she sank into the stands next to him "Why do you put up with her?"

James turned his head to look at her, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Dorcas gestured towards Y/N, who was now gesturing frantically as she continued her heated argument with the rest of her team. "She's rude and aggressive. Why are you with her?"

James chuckled, glancing back at Y/N with a fond look in his eyes. "I like girls who have strong opinions and a big mouth."

Dorcas looked utterly baffled. "But why? You could have anyone, someone nice and easy-going. Why her?"

James shrugged, a proud smirk playing on his lips. "Because it’s not easy... easy is boring."

Dorcas shook her head, exasperated. ''You lost your mind potter''

James' smile grew softer. "She's real, Dorcas. She's raw. And I never get bored. She challenges me and makes me better. I wouldn't trade what we have for anything."

My version of Chang'e has moons for pupils. Her pupils change depending on what phase the moon is currently in. And Jade Rabbit's pupils are freaking huge because she is part rabbit, and they have big pupils.

I wanted to design an outfit for Chang'e that was more traditional Chinese, since this AU takes place in ancient times. And JR's yellow fit underneath is based on that one episode of Monkey King 2009 where she was sneaking around the celestial realm and she briefly changed her outfit:

Valentines Day.

The one day a year where Jade had the excuse to go all out. She wasn't much for love gestures, but she'd make the exception today. For you.

Only problem... because she doesn't do stuff like this a lot, she wasn't even sure what to do for you. Tori, annoyingly, insisted on helping her.

"Oh! Oh! What if you took her to that new sushi place?" Tori suggested, Jade rolled her eyes. She had been thinking about doing that, but since Tori suggested it... she wasn't going to do it.

"Lame and basic, next," Jade sat on the stairs in the main school hallway, Cat next to her and Tori standing. Cat's eyes lit up and she raised her hand, Jade gave her a questioning look but when Cat didn't speak up she sighed," yes, Cat?"

"I just wanted to see how long I could hold my arm up, look it's still going!" Cat giggled. The other two girls shared a look of equal confusion.

"Ugh, why does this have to be so difficult?" She didn't think it would be this hard to figure out something you would like. You liked everything. That's just how you were, stupidly happy and lover of everything. But Jade wanted this day to be perfect for you. Something with some thought put behind it, something more than just a simple table reservation.

"There you are!" Jade froze when she heard your voice. Damn it, she still needed a little more time to plan things. She felt your arms wrap around her from behind and your lips on the side of her head," I got you something."

Oh no. You already had stuff together.

You placed a box into Jade's lap," what'd you get me?"

You laughed at that and shook your head, tapping the red box," I'm not giving any hints."

She rolled her eyes at that, but opened the gift. You'd gotten her... golden scissors? Now she really felt empty handed," oh my God! These are so cool." Jade took them out with a smirk, Tori instinctively took a step back.

"Those look... sharp. What'd you get Y/N, Jade?" Leave it to Tori to put Jade in an annoying situation. Jade shot her a glare before looking at you, quickly coming up with something in her head.

"Your gifts come later, you're gonna love them," she felt bad lying, especially after you looked so happy. Luckily, she was saved by the bell and the fact that you guys had different classes.

"I can't wait!!" You gave her a quick kiss and skipped off.

Jade glared at Tori again," I'm gonna kill you."

"No, you won't!" Tori teased, but didn't calculate that Jade would chase her to their drama class.

Cat was still on the stairs, holding up her arm," I'm still going, guys!!"

By some absolute miracle, Jade managed to pull things together pretty damn well. With some extra help.

She may not have gotten a reservation, but Tori let her turn her house into a temporary fancy restaurant. Having decorated the space in roses, rose petals, candles, all the classic romantic valentines day stuff.

"Wow. It looks like Cupid threw up in your living room," Jade commented, looking at the setup with folded arms.

"Is that... good?" Tori was a little confused, especially when Jade didn't acknowledge her question.

When you knocked on the door, her eyes widened," everyone OUT!"

They didn't need to be told twice. Especially when it came to Jade. The crew bolted for Tori's back door, hurrying out. Jade sighed, she hated having to use Tori's place but it was a better option than her own house.

Taking a breath, she grabbed the bundle of flowers and chocolate she had left by the door. Jade opened the door for you, being met immediately with a hug and a kiss from you.

"I'm so excited," you were practically vibrating, to which she couldn't help but laugh and rest her free hand on your shoulder.

"I can see that. Here," Jade handed you the flowers and chocolates and your cheeks flushed. She managed to get you your favourite chocolate, proving to you that she does pay attention.

"Thank you.. you look stunning," you'd just realized the dress that Jade had on and it could only be described as perfect. She looked absolutely gorgeous and you had a hard time keeping your thoughts together. Dinner first.

"That's supposed to be my line," she admired your outfit. Wondering how in the hell she managed to get so fucking lucky. You were just... wow. She was having a hard time keeping her eyes to yours.

You laughed and smiled, taking Jade's hand as she led you into Tori's house. Everything was decked out. You were beyond mesmerized by the amount of work Jade clearly put into this. Thinking she must have planned this weeks in advance. It was perfect.

Noticing how quiet you'd gotten worried Jade. A quiet you was a rare thing. She glanced back at you just as she pulled your chair from the table," it isn't too much, is it?"

"No- no no no- God, no!" You said quickly, seeing the look of embarrassment taking over on your girlfriend," it's absolutely... amazing. I love it. I love you."

Jade relaxed and pulled you in for a kiss, to which you happily responded. Setting your flowers and chocolates to the table," I love you, too." Jade murmured against your lips.

She made sure to give you a Valentines Day you definitely wouldn't be forgetting anytime soon. The whole night was incredible in more ways than one...

𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭: It's your senior year at Hollywood Arts, and Prome is coming up. You're hanging out with your friend group after rehearsal, before suddenly, Andre asks you out, and your so-called "enemy" blows up in jealousy.

𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞: enemies - lovers fluff/slight angst

𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: enemies to lovers, cursing, yelling, angsty Jade ;)

"Y/n doesn't have a date to Prome..." Cat would point out, Robbie's arm around her shoulders. Of course, she didn't mean it in a rude way, but ouch, that hurt. I mean, Robbie had a date! You would roll your eyes. "Whatever, I can still go and have fun, right? I mean, I can hang out with you... right, Tori?" You would ask, your voice becoming slightly nervous.

Tori would sigh, sympathy on her face. "I'm sorry Y/n, but I'll be performing, I won't have much time to hang out with you..." She'd say, genuine sympathy in her voice. You would groan, burying your face in your hands. Suddenly, the voice of your childhood best friend would cause your head to shoot up.

"Hey, I'll go with you Y/n." Andre would cooly say, in a tone that felt reassuring, as he always was to you. You would smile, opening your mouth to speak before you were cut off by a rather opposing voice, one that instantly shot down your happiness.

"No, you won't. It's only Y/n's fault she doesn't have a date." Jade would say. She was leaning on the wall, observing her fingers, picking off the already chipped black polish on her short nails. Your eyebrows would instantly furrow. "What's your issue, Jade? Just because Beck broke up with you, I shouldn't be the victim of your anger!" You would snap back, which obviously shocked the dark-haired girl.

Andre did his best to pause this before it got more intense, "Woah there ladies, let's cool this down before-"

"Beck did NOT break up with me! I broke up with HIM! And I could care less about whether you have a date or not!" Jade would yell, her whole body stiffening. You would simply stare at her, saying nothing, as you knew she would easily be able to carry this conversation- or whatever it was- solely on her anger. She would scoff. "I'm leaving." She'd say after a pause, much to your surprise. And she did in fact, leave. She'd storm out of Sikowitz's room, slamming the door behind her, causing Cat to flinch.

"I'll get her." Tori would sigh as she stood before Robbie would suddenly speak. "Maybe... don't?" He'd suggest nervously. Tori would look at Andre, and he would nod. It was known that Jade just really didn't like Tori. "I will. Wish me luck." You'd finally decide, standing up. You'd brush off your jeans, before exiting the room.

You'd quietly walk the empty halls of HA before you came across the janitor's closet, which had its door slightly open. You'd take a deep breath, before approaching the closet, and slowly opening the door, to surely find a crying Jade, her face in her palms as she leaned against the corner of the closet. You weren't sure why, but it felt as if your heart was being tugged in all different directions.

"Jade?" You'd say softly, leaning down, seeing her back shake as she sobbed quietly. You'd bite your lip as you sat down right in front of her, yet keeping a foot or so of space, just in case she was to do something violent. You never knew with her.

"What do you want?" She'd choke out quietly, not showing her face. Her black torn jeans and combat boots looked much less intimidating than they were five minutes ago. You would sigh, and clasp your hands together.

"I just wanted to make sure you're alright. I wanted to know what triggered you and made you upset, so I can know to avoid it later-"

"I love you, Y/n." Jade would suddenly say, cutting you off as she raised her head, her face stained with mascara trails and smudged eyeliner. "That's what made me upset. That I couldn't fucking get it together and ask you out and now I'm mad that anyone else could possibly think about it." She'd say, her voice monotone, yet stern despite the few sobs between her words.

You froze. You felt your face heat up as you listened to her speak. It had always been obvious that there was something between you and her, something when you looked at each other with cold eyes that made the both of you heat up, something that caused you both to get nervous whenever you had to act as a couple for a show. You always knew you had some kind of feelings for West, but you always minimized them to just hatred and annoyance. Now you realize it was more.

"Jade..." You'd say softly. You'd quickly embrace the other in your arms. She would start crying again, heavier now, as you allowed her to sob into your chest. Luckily, you wore a black shirt today, but you wouldn't mind the stains either way. You'd run your fingers through her black and blue hair, as you'd breathe slowly in an attempt to soothe the other. "Jade, can you look at me?" You'd say, in your same soft tone.

Jade would slowly raise her head, looking at you with those eyes. Those eyes. The ones that were soft, warm, and deep when she let them be. You felt yourself tearing up as you gently rubbed her back.

"Be my date to Prome, Okay?" You'd say with a soft smile. Jade's lip would quiver, a single tear cascading down her face.

"Are you sure? Are you sure you want to be seen dancing with me?"

"Yes, more than anything."

"Okay."

"Okay."

THE TRUE STORY:

It starts off with a conversation around the campfire after a botched robbery. John's telling the tale to pass the time, and I hit him with:

"Hey, you've got material there!" He blinks a few times, because he never thought about it that way. But he has a think about it...

"Damn, you're right!" So we leave the gang, shit's going south, anyway, but John can't swim, which doesn't leave us with much room.

The road's long, the law's tight - we're looking for something better. No more robbing trains - we're robbing people of their SERIOUS faces and selling them some good old laughter. THE COMEDY TOUR BEGINS! The name of our act: The Good, the Bad, and the Goddamn Outrageous

First stop? We head out West, hitting up the towns that have never seen a comedy show in their life. We don't just show up with jokes, we rob 'em blind (of their funny bones).

We start performing anywhere where there's a crowd - saloons, campsites - folks out here want a good laugh as much as they want a good shootout. But the road to Vegas ain't easy. We get ourselves into some WILD shit along the way.

We run into Arthur Morgan who's decided to strike it out on his own too. He begrudgingly joins us as the third wheel. We keep him JUST grumpy enough to get him to pull out his best one-liners.

FINALLY - VEGAS! Yeah, baby!

By now, we've made it big. The competition is stiff, the eyes of the world are on us. We're used to people wanting to take us down, but by now, we're feeling pretty untouchable. On the night of our big performance, we're having a blast, the audience is laughing so much they could bust a steam engine.

BUT good old Edgar Ross comes along and derails all the fun - trust that man to rain on John's rodeo. He wouldn't know a good joke if it shot him in the face. Problem is, as much as we've been making a name for ourselves as comedians, we've also drawn the attention of the law. HOW ARE WE GONNA GET OURSELVES OUTTA THIS ONE, JOHNNY BOY? John Marston and Arthur Morgan team up to give Ross the public ROASTING OF A LIFETIME. You gonna pull a slick one about John's mama being a prostitute? Be prepared to become ROAST PORK, my five-o bro. Comedic vengeance, retribution of the sweetest kind, is within our grasp. The crowd's going to remember the day they witnessed this epic lampooning from the two greatest outlaw-turned-comedians this side of the Mississippi!

Ross won't be able to hold a candle to Arthur and John, and when it's all said and done? They walk off the stage like the kings of comedy they were meant to be.

Ross will forever rue the day he thought he could punch down on poor John about his mama. The three of us? We'll be Legends of the West. Not for our robberies, not for our wanted posters - but for bringing down the goddamn house with every line.
