watching shows that arent cowards abt queer people is kinda a double edged sword bc on the one hand its great and epic and im having a lot of fun-but on the other hand its like once you watch one your standards have been raised forever and all the shows that queerbait or even just implied queerness are kinda soured in my mind. like im glad i watched hannibal when i did bc if i watched it *after* iwtv id probably be a lot more disappointed im it

Okay so I Did finally go ahead and watch the first episode of interview with the vampire and oh my god. That was the most melodramatic thing I have ever seen I am obsessed. The final sequence in the church, with Lestat ripping the priest out of the confessional to murder him and interrupting Louis’s religious lament followed by the unhinged sex metaphor with the turning. 15/10 Maybe I should have actually read the vampire chronicles back when I was an edgy teen, these really are the vamps that every other piece of vampire media for decades has been chomping the ennui filled flavor of.

ok i gave in to the hype and started the interview with the vampire show and i am not regretting it. only watched episode 1 but i love some fucked up little guys and a show that makes me wince without wanting to look away (the bit where lestat punched through the priest's head <3)
