I was scrolling through the anti-Sokovian accords tag and I was thinking.

Imagine if Erik Lehnsherr were in CA: CW. He wouldn't need to use his powers; all he would need to do is pull his sleeve up and show the numbers that stripped him of his identity when he was a young boy.

He would look Tony and Ross dead in the eyes and say. "I dare you to tell me that silly document of yours isn't similar to the ones that stripped my people of their dignity and lives. I dare you to tell me what happened to me isn't going to happen to my Wanda."

Or Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson who would read the absolute filth out of Tony and Ross and pull out a printed version of the accords, scribbled with a red pen that points out every human rights violation.

Or Bruce Banner who would say to Tony "Did you forget what he (Ross) did to me?"

I'm 100% with you but I fear if the Russos were in charge of Erik, they would find a way to blame him and pin it all on him.

They were so focused on trying to convince the audience that the Accords were a good thing that they showed the exact opposite. It's kind of a weird "show, don't tell" that shows one thing while the movie is telling you another.

And the worst part of it is that IW proves they meant nothing when it comes to the Avengers... but what about everyone else? Like when Steve and Nat break their pals out of the Raft. What about all the other inmates (or should I call them hostages? "Imprisonment without a trial", as per the Accords literal words)? Like when we're told about Zemo being held there... The guy is a nazi but was he tortured too? Like Sam was? Like Wanda? When not a single movie or series ever mentions that, not even in passing?

That's the whole issue with fascism. They dehumanise a group of people and tell you it's okay, hell we're seeing it nowadays. So in a good movie, Erik would bring that up, Wanda would talk about Sokovia, Sam could bring up racism, Steve about immigration... But that's not what CW wanted to do.

CW stayed in the same lane as all the other movies that defend Stark, blame Fury in the same breath they sanctify Peggy Carter and justify and sympathize with Thanos while laughing and literally slapping Thor in the face. Not even TWS is free of this.

I suppose some of us made the mistake of thinking a superhero franchise would be on the heroes side. But the MCU proved time and time again that they're not.

Do you know how Bor'dor can have both Cure Wounds and Inflict Wounds as a Divine Soul Sorcerer? I thought good-aligned gods gave CW and evil-aligned gave IW. Is there some mechanical detail I'm missing here? (or is Matt kind of playing fast and loose with alignments)

Divine soul sorcerers can also just pick from the cleric spell list! From Xanathar page 50: "When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn or replace a sorcerer cantrip or a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the cleric spell list or the sorcerer spell list."

They also get one extra spell, which I think is what you're thinking of, based on an affinity, in which the source of your power grants one extra spell (which is Cure Wounds for a good-aligned deity and Inflict Wounds for an evil-aligned deity). We don't know which was his affinity spell (if any - for all we know he's associated with law, chaos, or neutrality!) but yeah for this subclass he can have multiple cleric spells.

For Aegon 2nd - louis hofmann

If I say about his acting, he would be nailing as Aegon. Regarding age and all would be best in every way. He would have done so well with acting range required for Aegon

Sorry but on this ! You can't disagree. I wanted him so badly as Daemon before the show started. I would still if it was anyone beside matt who would be perfect Daemon. It's him ! for me he was perfect fancast for Daemon perfect in every way whether it's looks, acting, physical traits

Daeron - sebastian croft

Acc to me, he's someone who would fit Daeron very well actor who should look like a teenage, smaller than his both brothers but aprrox equal to jace correctly with his age N acting skills, looks. In young actors he's the one who I think who can act really well for someone that should be cute, babyish, pretty, gentle guy but at same time should able to play a bitchy bad side too. He's my fancast for Daeron even now ( when I know he won't be there😭)

Aemond - alex høgh andersen

He is the one I literally fan casted Aemond while reading FNB😭. The craziness, brutal shit, physique, dialogue delievery and all others which were very important for Aemond, he would have given it all. He was the only one iws would have done Aemond perfect. Believe me when I say Ewan Mitchell as Aemond's casting is God's work because I don't think anyone would have done justice to Aemond except these two only. But now it's not possible because Aemond should be the actor in his initial twenties 😅😆. So Ewan is perfect. If HOD was launched way before no one would have been better than him.

Making my 'To replay' list for when I finish my Ace Attorney 1-4 replay (currently about to finish JFA—Matt Engarde, sir, just one chance please).

Ofc LAD, IW, Judgment and Lost Judgment are at the top. Most likely will pick 0, Kiwami 2 and 5 back up after that. 3 and 4 are not on my plans, sadly (yes, it's because of the bullshit blocking, the prison break section and fuckin' Munakata, but also, because my poor ADHD brain canNOT stand not being able to pause cutscenes. I remember going to the settings when I first played them to see if it could be changed but it could not, it was just... Like that, for some reason. Sadly, that's a BIG issue for me). Can't replay Kiwami cause it's on my dad's PS4 account and not mine, so,,, yeah.

Idk what I'll do about Y6 cause I'm gonna be real here, chief: all I remember is the boat, Haruto, Nagumo and Yuta being my homies, getting pissed af during the fight with Patriarch Hirose, getting pissed again cause Joongi was killed off way too early and fighting Someya in boxers.

If i was in the marvel fandom in 2012 i would've been a major loki hater ngl. I started to warm up in the dark world. I know its controversial but i liked him in Ragnarok but then they killed him in infinity war im sfill mad abt

I like Loki a lot, and I liked him least in Avengers (2012). I watched the movies out of order at first (A1> T:TDW> Thor 1). I enjoyed him a lot in the Avengers, I was drawn to him because he's fun, but he also gave me second-hand embarrassment because he was just so arrogant yet got his ass handed to him(And I didn't know the backstory). I didn't think about Loki for a long time, until I watched T:TDW, where I fell head-over-heels for him. Without Loki, that movie would have felt like watching paint dry, so I felt especially grateful to Loki for that. That eventually got me to finally watch Thor 1. LOL. I enjoyed him in Ragnarok a lot, as well, and shipped him with Valkyrie, but I was not in the MCU fandom at the time (I was in another fandom). I am also still mad about Loki being killed off like that in IW!!!! Let's mourn!

Bear in mind I am biased towards antagonists and villains while reading this. This is my history of how I ended up obsessed with Marvel's Loki. And I am not sure if I should tag this post as "anti Thor" because I mention my extreme dislike of Thor from the past (and reasons). But I mention at the very end he grew on me. It's up to you if you keep reading.

The first time I saw Marvel's Loki, it was on a Hulk v. Thor cartoon on Netflix. Loki looks like an evil DILF in there. And Hela is a hot giant goth lady. I remember I googled norse mythology for the first time because up until then, I had thought "Son of the Mask" made up Loki, and I wanted to learn more about Hela (Hel). And I learned about Sleipnir and how hilarious myth!Loki was.

I found cartoon Thor annoying because he felt too perfect, and that's the kind of character that grates my nerves. And he survived thanks to a kiss from Amora, ugh, that's so dumb. I didn't go to watch Thor (2011) for the longest time because Thor just annoyed me because he felt too perfect and Gary Stu-ish in that cartoon.

And the comics I read at the time, specifically for Loki, made me dislike Thor more because they were like "Thor is the FUCKING BEST! AND ALL THESE SCANTILY CLAD WOMEN WANT TO FUCK HIM. BLEH BLEH. "(I was reading some omnibus by Matt Fraction on readcomicsonline). But I was more of a lurker in fandom, with no tumblr account, so I didn't express it.

And it annoyed me that some Marvel re-tellings of the myths (think it was Ages of Thunder) substituted Loki's cleverness (that saved him in the myths) for Thor being merciful or coming to the rescue. And they'd make Loki not only much eviler, but also dumber than in the myths when scheming and wprd-play is supposed to be his thing. Like, let Loki have something! You don't even have to write it because the myth you're adapting is there already! And ugh. Like no offense to anyone, but I don't really feel bad over Loki being so popular because those comics that existed for 5-6 decades annoyed the fuck out of me.

Also, at the time, a bunch of comic book nerds and dudebros would lose their shit over Loki's popularity. And Loki would be the subject of really fucked up homophobic jokes in parodies (*cough* The Key of Awesome).

Thor started growing on me in Ragnarok, IW (coolest Thor), and EG (EG!Thor is my fave because he's just so sad and I love sad men). And he was actually not Gary Stu-ish in Thor 1, I just didn't appreciate it at the time (unlike in other Marvel media). So I definitely like MCU!Thor way more than in many of his comics runs.

I also feel like I have different Thor and Loki preferences than most of the fandom, because I was a lurker and didn't interact with the fandom until 2022 and then making this blog, thanks to the Loki series bringing back my Loki phase.

She was def with IW. He cheated on her with a 19yr old model/singer in the US (Ivy Levan)& she was v salty about it & made a comment on her then Myspace. She said later (while full on with Alex) in her column in Company magazine about being left for a gorgeous 19yr old & saying we always (wrongly) blame the girl. Alexa had a lucky escape there! Yearrrrs ago (late 00's) there was an unofficial AM message board where everything used to get posted. Matt's mum used to post on it, one of the female sound engineers (dunno if it was Kelly tbh). It was WILD. The band even linked it to their website. The only time the Admin was asked to take something down was when loadsa people saw Alex snogging a blonde in I think Atlanta afterparty (in 2011). At that point there were rumblings of a split, Alexa was being seen with Theo Hutchcraft. The Alex & Alexa were papped together, then the split annouced & she joined Hurts on tour in Eastern Europe, Alex was on tour in the US then Arielle popped up. Crazy times in the fandom back then!

it's weird though because even with just a cursory search of her and Ian Watkins now, it just doesn't say they were actually in a relationship, just dating/linked together in the casual sense

For the would you ever ask game, would you ever write a fic where another Avenger mentors Peter instead of Tony

Thanks for the ask, anon!

In theory: possibly. In practice: I don't think so, and this is for a few reasons.

Obviously with SMH I've been enjoying writing the MCU Peter specifically and that comes with all the MCU baggage - including Tony's weird brand of mentoring in the time before IW and the lingering stuff from that 5 years down the line. I've also really enjoyed reading some people's stories where Matt or Nat or Strange or Pepper or Clint or even Hank McCoy mentor Peter, but I'm not sure what I would want to do.

I think part of it is I like writing Peter standing on his own two feet, either post Tony or in a universe without a primary mentor to lean on. I like the idea that he can learn from (and teach) other supers and vigilantes as their equal, ya know? Most of the fic ideas I have that are on my list to possibly work on after I finish SMH don't have a strong mentor/mentee relationship for Peter.

I do think it would be fun to see more Bruce + Peter mentorship though! Two irradiated science nerds bonding and all that.

The soft whines for more broke you out of your trance, blinking owlishly at the man laying under you. Your gaze shifted downwards as you take in the sight before you.

His fair skin looked to be kissed by the sun and dusted in blush, tossle hair had fiery hues to it, eyes like the ocean after a storm had just settled, all thanks to the candle.

Same candle that beckoned you to his bedroom chamber so late into the night, like any night it was lit.

It was funny to see such a debauched mess and know he would be the future king.

Your hips began to move at a fastened pace, gaze never faltering as you watched him, he gasped at the suddenly movement.

Covering his own mouth in an attempt to muffle his moans, the ones you've countlessly remarked sounded like a girl in a brothel, bucking his hips up out of instinct.
