And thus, with the passing of 24 hours, Caeru's ambition truly comes to an end. Major Nemesis spoilers below the cut- we're talking endgame ambition business here. Mostly on a character RP front.

The Doomed Scientist made quite a few... choice decisions, in the end. Killing Cups once and for all, recording his story as one of grief-

And sparing what little remained of Mr Mirrors, leaving it free to roam Parabola as it sees fit.

Some of them, he can explain. Others, he's still left to feel... discontent.

Cups needed to die. That much was certain from the start. It was a tyrant, as all Masters are, and complicit in the bargaining and eventual destruction of four (potentially five) cities, as all Masters are. It was an obstacle. A murderer. A petty monster that felt no remorse even on its deathbed, and it went out of its way to ruin multiple lives just because it felt owed its own sick and twisted idea of revenge.

It killed his first love. It looked him in the eyes and he knew what it had done and he knew from the start it was going to die.

Perhaps, in the end, it knew too. And yet it still pleaded, and wanted to live, and-

It made a bargain.

A bargain Caeru didn't take.

Not because he didn't want to. Gods, he wanted to. He wanted it. He wanted it more than anything else in the world. To have Greylu back, to give him the gift of life, of love, to show him the wonders of the Neath and the beauty of the correspondence and all of the people Caeru has met and loved and found home with along the way-

But. He couldn't.

Because Cups was a monster. And no matter what, it deserved to die. And he could not, in good conscience, allow it to live.

Even if sparing it meant everything he's ever wanted.

So he's left here, now. With a bloodied traveling coat, and a bloodsoaked knife, and a favor finally fulfilled.

And nothing to live for. No resurrected lover, no charming visits to Helicon, no slow dances in the living room, no memories to rebuild and lives to live and he won't live again-

Nothing. All he has is a coat born of obligation, not to his love, but to people he's never even met. To lives he's never even touched. To a paramour, still alive, with hair of rose-pink, who doesn't even remember her own brother's existence.

Cups didn't die for Caeru's sake. Cups died for the sake of all who wanted it dead. For the revenger's court, and the ghost screaming in his ear, and the reckoning that will not be postponed indefinitely.

And Caeru, who acted as a tool to carry out their wills? Who all but betrayed his own lover, just to satisfy a cause he never knew existed?

All Caeru is left with, is regret. Regret-

As a show of good faith toward the remaining Decepticons at the beginning of a new, united Cybertron, newly appointed Senators Bumblebee and Soundwave allowed Shatter and Dropkick to enlist into Autobot City's Defense Team.

These two turned out to be... not the best choices.

The city may have fallen to Insurgent Decepticon occupation had it not been for young recruits Hot Rod and Arcee's accidental interception of Shatter's communication with the fugitive Starscream.

To replace the errant Defense Team members, Springer and Blurr were reassigned from Iacon to Autobot City in their stead.

they're looking after him! they suspect it's mingo's fault he disappeared but they're not 100% sure if luffy's with him!

also have a quick timeline because i haven't given one, the au is very much a wip so only the published fic for now is canon but that's the idea for now:

��� luffy gets turned on dressrosa -> regroup on Zou, plan for to take down Kaido postponed for now -> Whole Cake Island goes similar to canon but oh the horrors -> submarine trip (what i'm currently working on EDIT: more art here and here , also the fic)

-> ??? zone, more the hearts & strawhats interactions, luffy's & mingo's brains keeps on melting together every now and then, stuff, they do go to Wano now?

-> during the party after freeing Wano luffy disappears without anyone's notice, plot twist, mingo was around to discuss with his business partner and managed to get away alive (law's plan failed through and through).

plot twist #2 the reason luffy isn't bloodthristy for ppl's blood is because mingo fucked up when ordering/compelling him to drink his blood while turning him, now he only feel actual bloodthirst for his blood. this is also why he never feels satisfied, his body is fine with the blood he drinks but his mind keeps going "we still need more blood" because it isn't the right blood.

this means he finally acts like an actual bloodthirsty newborn vampire when he's around mingo and looses his shit, this also means he's finally perfectly fine and well and sane for real after feeding on him and after months of what he had to go through relief isn't strong enough of a word to describe how he feels, so he goes with him.

mingo can end his command, have luffy be able to drink anyone's else blood and be satisfied, but doesn't.

(there's also mindlink reasons & mingo being a master manipulator ect ect that'll be partly revealed once im done with that damn submarine horror oneshot.)

-> now that they're together it's a lot easier to function, doesn't mean it's easy to coexist tho, mingo decides to go visit Cross Guild and maybe get a new business going on.

again this could all change to smth completely different any time but that's the general idea for now!

Like it'd be really fucked up if the reason he stayed and the others either didn't (as in they took a path similar to the books and got out altogether, they're some of the first clones eligible for retirement after all given their service records) is Sev and having to leave him behind. Or maybe the other's have since died. and he's the only one left to keep going. hooooo

see if I had been doing something with Mask, i would have invested the mystery plotline into being more involved within the neath and the city itself?

like idk, its supposed to be a prequel fl game but the plot felt minimal and nothing like a Fallen London story. Maybe one of the lower rank ES story, but for a full game, on par with skies and seas, you'd expect something grandeur?

I dont know the whole details of this idea im just rambling but why not have the invesitgation tie into more areas ur not supposed to look into and answers your not supposed to know, make it so character development and story can actually happen.

OR if you really want it to be Simple and Human plot, focus more on the survival aspects of the neath and the fall. theres small hints of it there, but it would be far more brutal to actually hammer in on how much you as the character struggled. we here about food issues and people struggling, but none of it ever affects the PC. lean into that plot wise if you wanna keep the game enticing.

Strange man who came to me in my dream as a TRAFFIC CONE

Ok ok so like for starters if you've ever played Kirby and the forgotten land my dream felt like a crossover of that and portal and like aperture was really just an abandoned circus instead like wondaria and also I was Kirby in the dream

But like this core guy shade shows up at some point with one of his co-workers but I don't remember what they were talking about then he disappears to god knows where when he comes back hes human but looked like the villain from secret life of pets 2 with more hair ??

But like at some point in the dream it's chell's perspective and she like got out and is leaving the big ol like aperture circus tent thing and shade follows her outside (at this point he's a normal core again) and is like "congrats :) you can go home good job!!" And right afterwards fucking birds swoop down, grab him and fly away and right then was where I woke up like what the fuck

Oh and that's not all I took a nap yesterday and the only thing I vividly remember dreaming about was shade coming to me just to tell me he's made of recyclable materials

Sometimes i dont get it when people talk about watching the same movie or tv show over and over again but then i remember that i will absolutely never get tired of watching how to train your dragon or listening to its soundtrack it is so joy inducing for me

Morgan's story in Baldur's Gate 3 is very similar to her regular canon ark; born into a noble family of magic users, they harbor dark secrets from the rest of the aristocracy and the citizens of the city that will eventually spell disaster for the fate of Morgan's future (and maybe even the fate of Baldur's Gate).

She comes from a long line of powerful and affluent sorcerers on her father's side of the family. While her mother's side of the family were wealthy, they were not nobility nor were they gifted with any sort of magical abilities in any way. Her father was a businessman and honored magistrate in the city, owning serval taverns across Baldur's Gate and some small niche shops like jewelers, apothecary clinics, and places that sold rare magical collectibles on a much smaller scale than say, a place such as Sorcerous Sundries.

Her mother died when she was born and this left her older brother, Michael, to step up to the plate and essentially become her primary parental figure. Their father would often blame his frequent disappearances on his work in politics and the family's many other financial assets that needed his attention and extended well beyond the walls of their great city. He spent more time coming up with far more excuses and half truths than any genuine efforts to do better and be there as a father for his children.

Behind closed doors, a large amount of Morgan's family's influence and wealth is due to the family working hand in hand both with the government and several of the undergrown criminal enterprises of Baldur's Gate. Spanning across several generations, essentially Morgan's family has been playing both sides of the law to better suit their own selfish endeavors. It is commonplace for the family's more youthful members to rise up through the ranks of power on either side of the equation. Many other sorcerers in the family (usually once their abilities first started to present themselves around puberty) would train in both magic and all sorts of other skills to serve the dynasty in any way they could whether that meant spilling a little wine or spilling a little blood.

Not only did they train to be great fighters, but also great thieves, artists, grifters, and politicians, socialites, they had their fingers in just about every pie in Baldur's Gate from the courtrooms to the Thieves' Guild. Basically, if Wyll's family was known for its heroism and greatness, Morgan's family was known for being shrouded in mystery and deceit.

By the time the events of the game roll around, Morgan is a highly intelligent wild magic sorcerer and noblewoman with dreams of embarking on her very own adventure someday after having spent most of her life behind the city walls of Baldur's Gate, simply reading about the adventures of others. A neutral good, she favors concepts such as equality, harmony, and peace...but she is also not afraid to fight for what's right in the name of saving other people and break a few rules in doing so if the situation calls for it. Some rules are meant to be broken, after all.

When Act III occurs, it's revealed to Morgan that her father has been murdered and her uncle has taken control of her family's assets and house seat. Her older brother is nowhere to be found, and there are rumors circulating that her family was one of the deciding houses that voted to make Gortash supreme ruler of Baldur's Gate. On top of everything else she's been going through while out on her journey with the other companions, she has to find a way to discover her brother's whereabouts, form new alliances in the city where her uncle had cut ties, and find a way to remove him from power as the new head of her family and take back everything he stole from her father.

If she even wants to go back to her old life.
