the last couple days bg3 has been saying that mods that aren't disabled, are. there's no updates for them or anything and they are definitely in my load order.

it's not even specific mods, it's been different ones both mornings. not amount of reinstalling or whatever is fixing it. once a save says the mods are disabled, they can't be enabled on that save again. ive tried. even tried using different mod managers and manually installing, nothing changes.

which is obviously breaking the saves. idk what else to do? besides restarting the damn game every morning, which i am not fucking doing beyond today. just going vanilla for now so i can FUCKING PLAY.

i had like.. 22? characters, all varying degrees of progress but half at least in act 2 and i had to delete every. single. one. so stupid. i just wanted to have nice hair and better horns. ):

Since i think ive been dealing w food poisoning these past 2 days and ive been too tired to do anything else im just reading abt sims 2 corruption on the wiki.

12 y/o me deleted and changed shit willy nilly yet I never experienced any game breaking issues or any of the stuff that might suggest corruption…Thats kind of wild to me. Like. Hearing about game and hood corruption seems so recent??? I know i deleted every grave in any house i touched besides the ones of ppl i wanted to resurrect. I even deleted the graves in olive spectres backyard lmaoo. Think i was just scared of ghosts i guess? But yeah i dont remember ruining my game or sims or neighborhoods or having to reinstall bc of issues. Just long loading screens. ok first of all: if the arm wrestling is the only thing about w2 that you want to fix you don’t have to fuck about with any of the unpacking nonsense! you do have to be playing on PC. I’m using this mod to always win dice poker/arm wrestling. steps as follow:

download whichever version you want (always win only arm wrestling, always win only dice poker, always win both). the file is a zip folder and you can put it wherever you want. 

extract the contents of the zip, also to wherever you want. inside is a README.txt and a file called base_scripts.dzip. you can ignore the readme, it’s just the description of the mod from the nexus site in a text file.

find your witcher 2 folder. if you’re playing on Steam, you’re looking for something like C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\the witcher 2\CookedPC. if you’re not sure, here’s how to view your Steam installation path. if you’re on GOG it’s usually C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 2\CookedPC. if not, you can find the installation path in the GOG launcher by clicking Witcher 2, then the settings button to the right of the center top bar, then “Manage Installation > Show folder”.

there should be a base_scripts.dzip already in the CookedPC folder—copy it somewhere else for backup or rename it to something like base_scripts_original.dzip

go back to your downloaded mod folder and drag and drop the mod’s base_scripts.dzip into the Witcher 2 CookedPC folder. if it asks if you want to replace the existing base_scripts.dzip say yes (but make sure to have backed up or renamed the original first!)

ta-da! load up W2 and go dunk on some arm wrestlers.

if you want to fix a BUNCH of things about W2 it’s a little harder. 

base_scripts.dzip is basically a special kind of zip folder with a bunch of smaller script files zipped into it. so for instance, the arm wrestling mod changes only the minigame scripts, while Conversation Skills Always Succeed changes only the scene_function script. technically, those don’t conflict, except the changed files have been packed up into two different base_scripts.dzip, and you can only have one base_scripts.dzip.

some mods don’t mess with base_scripts.dzip at all. True Encumbrance Remover (sets all item weights to 0 because inventory management sucks) is another one you can just drag and drop right into CookedPC, not even any file replacement required. the way to check if you’re going to need to do some fuckery for nexus mods is on the Files tab; click “Preview file contents” and if you see a base_script.dzip in there, it’ll require some fiddling if you want to use it with other base_script.dzip mods. how to do the fiddling:

probably a copy of W2 on GOG because Steam’s a little bitch about DRM. if you have it on Steam you can redeem a free GOG copy of W2 here using the CD key you find in the Steam launcher here: 

you can try doing this modding process with Steam files, but it’s entirely possible that it’ll throw errors for you talking about file access, and if so... switch to GOG and install Witcher 2 again. i know it’s a pain to have multiple launchers but if you’re willing to fuck around this much with mods it’s not THAT much of a pain. 

ok! step 1: getting into base_scripts.dzip with Gibbed RED tools

download Gibbed RED Tools and extract the contents. you can put the resulting unzipped folder wherever you like, just make sure you know where. 

open up the windows command prompt—open the start menu, type in “cmd”, right click the program that comes up, and hit “run as administrator”. SCARY BLACK PROGRAMMING BOX. it’s ok all we have to do is type some stuff in! hit enter after every command and be sure to include all the spaces and quotation marks.

hit enter! ok now we’re inside the Gibbed RED Tools folder. we want to tell it where the original base_scripts.dzip is, and what folder it should unpack that file into. create a new folder somewhere for the unpacked files to live and then type in the next command!

first command moves us from the default folder into the folder that contains our Gibbed RED tools. the command structure is: 

cd "path to Gibbed RED tools"

so for instance:

cd "C:\Users\laurelnose\Downloads\Gibbed RED Tools"

it should unfurl a whole long list of file names! you can navigate to the folder you told it to unpack to and see all of the little script files that make up base_scripts.dzip. now we’re cooking.

the command structure is:

Gibbed.RED.Unpack.exe "location of base_scripts.dzip" "place to unzip file to"

so for example:

Gibbed.RED.Unpack.exe "C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 2\CookedPC\base_scripts.dzip" "C:\Users\laurelnose\UnpackedBaseScript"

go back to nexus mods and pick out all the base_scripts.dzip mods you want. say, Conversation Skills and Dice Poker/Arm Wrestling. or even more than that, as many as you want! repeat these steps for EACH MOD INDIVIDUALLY:

find out which files they modified. Conversation Skills is nice because they say right in their description that they modified  game\scenes\scene_functions.ws . other modders, it’s a little tougher; Poker/Wrestling doesn’t say, so i had to poke around in the “posts” tab until i found a user saying that it modified game\minigames\dicepoker.ws and game\minigames\wristwrestling.ws 

download the mod, and extract the contents into a folder. create a new folder wherever you’d like—name it whatever, but you’re going to be making one for each mod so to keep them straight something like ModNameUnpacked might be best.

go back to command line. if you closed it before, repeat the cd command to get back into the Gibbed RED Tools folder, otherwise you can just use the unpacking command again to unzip the mod’s base_scripts.dzip into your ModNameUnpacked folder. 

open up the unpacked folder and navigate through the folder structure until you find the file they said they modified. so for Conversation Skills, find scene_functions.ws in the game\scenes folder.

for instance:

Gibbed.RED.Unpack.exe "C:\Users\laurelnose\Downloads\ConversationMod\base_scripts.dzip" "C:\Users\laurelnose\Downloads\ConversationModUnpacked"

pull up your unzipped original base_scripts.dzip from the previous section. move the modified file from the mod folder into the same place in the original base_scripts.dzip folder. so scene_functions.ws goes in game\scenes in your original base_scripts.dzip folder. let it replace/overwrite the original scene_functions.ws. 

repeat this for each mod individually. if you’re doing a lot of mods you’re going to end up with a lot of folders! we can delete them later. if by some unfortunate chance you want two mods that modify the same .ws file you’d have to actually figure out which lines each one modified and rewrite your original .ws file to include both, so... idk don’t get yourself into this situation lmao

ok, now that you’ve pulled out the modified scripts from each mod you wanted and put them into your unpacked original base_scripts folder, it is time to pack that sucker up into a regular .dzip again!

back into command line. again if you closed it before, use the cd command to get back to your Gibbed RED Tools folder, otherwise the new command we’re using is:

Gibbed.RED.Pack.exe "location to put the packed folder\base_scripts.dzip" "location of files to pack up"

this time it won’t put out a whole list of files, because it didn’t pull out any files, it packed them up all neatly. check the location you told it to put base_scripts.dzip and if it’s there you’re golden!

so for example:

Gibbed.RED.Pack.exe "C:\Users\laurelnose\base_scripts.dzip" "C:\Users\laurelnose\UnpackedBaseScript"

pull up your Witcher 2 CookedPC folder—if you haven’t already backed up or renamed your original base_scripts.dzip, do that—and move your newly-created base_scripts.dzip full of all your lovely mods into the CookedPC folder!

you can now delete all of the ModNameUnpacked folders you created. if you need to start over, just delete the modded base_scripts.dzip and either move your backup into the CookedPC folder or change the name of the original back to base_scripts.dzip and that should undo all of your changes. worst case scenario you have to uninstall and reinstall, but that shouldn’t happen if you backed up your base_scripts.dzip!

how do you make poses for the roof? i'm not sure how i can know if the sims will clip into the roof or float

honestly i just...eyeball it...because all roofs are different and you can’t put them into blender so. i just winged it lmao...i just made a pose that looked like it could’ve been lou climbing out the window, only the rig was still ground level, and then i used alt + 9 to lift the teleporter onto the roof as best as i could. that’s why it probably wouldn’t be a very practical pose to release, because i have no way of making it easy to use

i don’t know if i’ll be able to replicate the reshade effect totally but i could release the action i’ve made for myself? it warms up screenshots but is totally adjustable to your liking for different color tones so in that way it’s kinda similar to the reshade. i’ll seeeeee what i can do...i know the woes of mac users all too well, my friend

With the new Valentine banner coming out in FEH, I thought I’d share this funny (which was really sad before) experience I had on FEH. For those who aren’t interested in Illu’s FEH adventures, have a Dancer Inigo which I drew all the way back in October for Inktober 2017! 

I swear I’m still writing! Hopefully you’ll see some posts coming out soon! Uni’s been eating my muse for breakfast, lunch and dinner lately. Sorry!

So it’s not big secret but I do play FEH. I've been playing pretty much since the day the game’s been released. Now FEH’s reached it’s 1st birthday and here everyone’ll be expecting me to have collected a bunch load of heroes. And if anyone remembers this very old post, I should, theoretically speaking should be able to compile a strong team that I can be proud of as a F2P player. 

HAHAHA. Strap on your seatbelts kiddies, Illu’s going to tell you a story now.

Everyone here (at least everyone who plays FEH) should know about Nintendo Accounts right? The option to link your FEH progress to a Nintendo Account keeps your data safe and saves your progress online so that should you need to switch platforms/phones you still have your old team, stats, orbs, etc.

Now, when I was still new to the game I didn’t really give it much thought as I was still trying the game out. Give it a few more days, still playing FEH, but meh, didn’t get any good heroes yet, still pretty weak so I didn’t bother. Fast forward to randomly pulling a Hector and Klein and boy, NOW, I’m getting somewhere in FEH, finally. By now, I know I won’t be deleting this game soon so I really should consider signing up to a Nintendo Account but then I hear this voice ‘Meh, it’s just a F2P game, if I lost all my progress I’ll just start over - seems easy enough to get back to where I should be’ (keep in mind, back then FEH had less heroes so pulling good heroes was easier). FAST FORWARD SEVERAL MONTHS LATER. Here I am, shredding through the levels and arena with my 5* ATK+ Hector, 5*Klein, 5*+2 Nowi, 5*Adult Tiki, armed with a bunch load of other 5* heroes plus special event heroes. I’m pretty proud and satisfied with how far I’ve come as a F2P player and PSSSH NINTENDO ACCOUNT? Who even uses that? I have a new phone, it’s not going to break any time soon. Whatever. 

I’m pretty sure if you’ve read this far you should be able to pretty much predict what happened right? If you guessed my laziness came back and bit my ass and left a scar, you’re right. 

It was around the time Fjorm and Book 2 was about to be released, think the dancer, singer banner had just ended when it happened. My phone wouldn’t load FEH and all I got was a black screen. Restarted the app, restarted the phone, nothing worked. Now I was panicking a bit here because oh my god what’s happening? Sweating a bit too because oh no, what if- i lose all my progress. Yep. Without knowing, I spent almost a year on FEH and all the progress made in that time period I finally recognize, cannot be regained if I started over all again and neither do I want to start over especially after how far I’ve come. Long story short, I deleted the app, reinstalled in and it still didnt work. It wasn’t until the next day when I went to get my phone checked did I realise it was my phone’s new update problem and not the app. But by then it was far too late. 

NEWS FLASH FOR EVERYONE WHO DIDN’T KNOW. Deleting FEH app, deletes all your FEH data from your phone, even if you’re using the same phone, deleting the app means scrapping the FEH progress you made and starting anew. 

I. Lost. Everything.

DANCER INIGO WHICH I JUST PULLED -CRAIS- (IRONICALLY the art above was drawn in celebration that he came home), HECTOR, KLEIN, EASTER HEROES, ALL THE EVENT HEROES, ALL THE ORBS, FEATHERS, TOKENS- all the effort I put into training and inheriting skills. Back when SP grinding took forever (still takes forever).

I was emotionally scarred. Never thought I’d be so attached to a few animated chibis of FE characters BUT I DID AND NOW THEY’RE ALL GONE AND SOME OF THESE EVENT CHARACTERS, I MIGHT NEVER GET BACK. Starting over had never been so painful. In fact, I couldn’t touch FEH for several days. I still shudder thinking about it. 

Eventually I did start again because what the hell. I’LL MAKE IT WORK A SECOND TIME. Good news was when I did start FEH round 2, Fjorm’s special heroes banner was running and I managed to get Brave Lyn, Ike and Fjorm with those early game orbs so my replay didn’t start off too badly. BAD NEWS was that they all had BAD IVS.

I still think of my lost Hector every time I open the app AND DANCER INIGO. GIVE HIM BACK TO MEEEEEEEE, LET ME DRAW HIM AGAIN PLEASE, I ONLY HAD HIM FOR TWO WEEKS? EVEN LESS? DANCER SINGER BANNER RERUNS PLEASE. HE WAS JUST REALISING HIS POTENTIAL IN MY TEAM. 

IMPORTANT LESSON OF THE DAY: SAVE YOUR GODDAMN PROGRESS. DON’T BE LAZY.

Despite all the Hector focus banners I still haven’t drawn him again. I CRAI. 

CROSSING MY FINGERS I’LL FINALLY DRAG HECTOR BACK HOME DURING VALENTINES BANNER AND CYL. SOB.

Sorry I forgot what context was before this ask, but then I guess just buy the entire prologue instead, it’d be a safer bet. I’ve heard only Day 4 matters but I don’t believe so, but I believe Day 1 don’t matter that much. So just try to start like in the AM on Day 1 to move ahead and buy the rest of the prologue which is actually cheap. Day 1-2 = 20HG/day, Day 3-4 = 30HG/day.

 Im the anon that asked about the bugs. Mine is fixed now. :) I just cleared the cache/data. first make sure you already completed the route or at least save so u don't lose ur progress. U'll have to use ur hourglasses to access your saved file tho.

Same anon. Just wanted to tell u I cleared the cache while on Jumins route. Fixed the background but it wasn't until I completed this route n played another that the voiced VN got fixed. But idk if it's what I did or if Cheritz fixed the bug. XD

Second, in the 707 walkthrough there was supposed to be a visual novel about his past, but I didn't get it even though I followed the walkthrough. Is it because I didn't complete his ending/secret ending in the regular game?

Hello! I have received news that Cheritz totally bugged out Seven’s Visual Novels! So please send them a bug inquiry if you are still experiencing this, or try reinstalling the game and see if it works. Or another way is try playing it in the Korean version.

I answered unknown emails asking the address and the hour of the event (I got 80% in the first day so I didn't miss many chats) and everything was ok till the chat "zen looks sad" but after the caution that chat disappeared??And I got unknown ending??? Hello, so to obtain Unknown ending you need to answer all his text messages in perfect score, so first congrats on achieving that! Then now just simply redo the route and ignore his text messages because the only way to obtain Unknown ending is with text messages.

 i wanna cry.. ive done 4 routes on the christmas dlc and om the 2nd one it worked for half a line for v (first time ive heard a voice on the dlc) and went BLACK. I cant even see the character models anymore!!!

Sorry was this fixed yet? If you are referring to the VN, they’re totally bugged out when I played it back in December, try clearing your caches and trying again!

 you need to delete the game and reinstall it. it works best if you only re download the dlc only and not the entire game (going to the characters and just reinstalling their routes). i think it's because the game is so big that your phone can't handle it well

in late 2015 i bought a new computer and one of the first things i did was buy dragon age inquisition on origin, not knowing what my new computer could handle really (and it couldnt handle this game even being only 24gigs) so like 3 months later i buy a ps3. Specifically, might i add, to play dragon age inquisition, because i wanted to play this game so badly. after my first playthrough i was really looking forward to playing the main dlc called Tresspasser, but it turns out they dont have tresspasser on the ps3 so im pretty upset considering i literally bought this ps3 to play this game and this game only but its a fun game so play it like 7 or 8 times all the way through. 2 months ago i bought a ps4 and last week i find the dragon age inquisition goty edition on sale on the psn for 20 bucks. im pretty excited because that means i finally, finally, get to play trespasser. at this point ive been waiting like, a year and a half to play this fucking dlc specifically. so yesterday i downloaded all the dlcs that came with the goty edition and played through my current save state for a while with no issues. cut to an hour ago when i start the game and when i try to continue my current game, i get the infinite load screen so i google it and apparantly a lot of people are getting an issue with the goty edition giving them the infinite load screen , and it fucking turns out, the best way to fix is so far, is so get rid of the tresspasser dlc , because thats what seems to be causing the issue. except that sony is a giant piece of shit and you cant fucking delete individual dlcs from your ps4. no. you have to delete the entire game as a lump sum of 56 gigs or whatever the fuck im up to now, and reinstall the whole god damn thing from the bottom up. so now i have to find a blank flashdrive, move my save data so i dont lose the 9 hours of gameplay i have so far, delete the entire fucking conglomerate, and reinstall every dlc EXCEPT tresspasser and hope it works. and then fucking sit on my hands until they make a patch where their fucking stupid piece of shit game actually works so i can play it after almost 2 fucking years of waiting. god

so i've been trying dark souls

i tried remastered of course, played a bunch then got frustrated and deleted it

then my save file got corrupted when i reinstalled it so i started from the beginning

got a bit further then i got bored and deleted it again

it's so weird because i love the classes, i love the stats page, i love trying different items and managing the weight and all of that. i even like some of the music, namely the title theme and i freaking teared up when i first arrived in firelink shrine

i also like some of the npcs, some of the areas, some of the enemies, and some of the bosses (that i havent actually fought but ive been watching a lot of videos). and though i've heard a lot of people don't like the movement at least in the beginning, i actually think it's fine as long as i keep track of the weight of the equipment

but. some is the key word. because everything else does not work for me. in the 25 hours i played i've gotten better at the combat but it never clicked, the areas i've spent the most time in i don't actually like, i don't feel like i want to know more about or see more of the world, i have nothing to say about the level design, and the most common enemies are just annoying, especially considering how frequent ambushes are.

also of the three bosses i've fought so far i haven't liked a single one. i don't like their appearance, i don't like their attacks, and i absolutely despise their arenas. i get that one of the core parts of the game is learning patterns but how do i do that when i don't like fighting these enemies and bosses.

i don't know, it's weird. it's like my fifth time trying the game and it's the only time i got out of the tutorial but after 25 hours i still don't feel like i 'get' it. that should be enough time to see if a game is not for me but who knows, maybe it's just not for me right now. maybe i'll have to try it again in the future.

i'll probably end up trying sekiro and perhaps even ds 3 before that though. i'd include elden ring as well but potato laptop :(

For the past 3 months (maybe longer) my game only works SOMETIMES.

it has nothing to do with custom content. MCD cant find anything wrong. i’ve deleted all duplicate files and outdated mods. I deleted everything thats high poly. I’ve deleted the caches. I’ve tried taking out my major mods (WW, EV, Poseplayer etc) nothing helps. Today i deleted over 500 files. nothing. ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling. nothing. 

SOMETIMES the game actually opens. it’ll take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. I literally have no idea how it decides its going to launch or not. I’ll try and launch it 10 times. it always starts with the plumbob loading screen, then a minimized window, then “not responding” for hours. I’ve literally tried letting it load overnight so many times. I’ve tried restarting my computer.

I just feel so stressed out. Like i said this just started happening out of no where- as in i didn't even download anything to cause this initially. 

If anyone has had a similar problem please let me know how you solved it! I might have already tried it but seriously anything helps.
