My jawline, or lack thereof, makes my face look disgusting when clean shaven, but as a trans woman I don't like having facial hair either. So admittedly I did just kind of give up and have had a full beard for the past few years. Which brings me to my point, which is that I blame a lot of my lack of having anyone attracted to me on beauty standards, and to be fair that is depressingly true to a large extent, but a large part of the problem is just that I haven't put in any effort into how I look for awhile now. Especially since I found out I was balding, and given my genetics I never really expected that to be a problem, since for the most part, save for a couple of cousins, balding isn't like a huge thing in my family. But whatever wigs exist and I always wore them anyway since I hated how my hair looked when I had it. But getting back to my point again, when was the last time I put any effort in, I haven't worn makeup for forever or shaved anything nonfacial either. I could be posting selfies on here again maybe, if I cleaned up. I did alright on here back in the day, granted the bulmia helped a lot with that. I guess when the porn ban happened and the horniness on this site really dried up I just didn't have much of a motivation to get dolled up anymore since I wasnt taking nudes or anything all that often anymore. I could start doing selfies and stuff again tho maybe, but again the facial hair is kind of the biggest barrier. You'd think with all the nonbinary people on the site, girls with beards would do numbers on here, but it just ain't a thing unfortunately. People don't like girls with facial hair as much as they say they want dismantle beauty standards, which is unfortunate but I guess understandable. Like it or not, even on tumblr, girls that fit conventional beauty are still valued the highest so the hair has got to go even if my jawline is gross. Contouring and shit helped with that anyway. Point is I've actually lost the point, but point is I need to talk to cute girls on the internet again, I am ready to get my heartbroken again and also probably catfished again lmao

Genuinely being a single woman in my thirties, living alone, is such a mixed blessing sometimes. I do love my house and when I'm here I literally never want to leave. But on the other hand, I do get tired of leaving to go hang out with people, even though I love seeing them. Especially because I have such a great group of friends but they live all over the place, geographically, and therefore most of them don't know each other. And I actually really love hosting? But I never have people in my house because logistically it's always more practical for me to go to them than vice versa.

But sometimes I buy new old dishes and wanna just have a little fancy wizard party, but all my guests are far away. Please may I have the teleport spell. Or a high-speed commuter rail system.

I think everyone needs to experience technology in a rural area at least once in their life. I'm talking out in the boondocks, where the lines between modern and old blur in ways that almost make you believe that something else exists out there with you. Where your phone will register 5G in a spot 50 miles from any semblance of civilization but still won't load anything. Where the office computer is fully updated to the latest windows and hardwired into the internet and won't run certain programs, but only in the afternoon. Where the cell service cuts when a storm rolls overhead, and the phone lines at your work will randomly stop for a few minutes on a sunny day and IT can't figure out why so you all shrug and move on until they're working again. In a place where the home wifi router has to be wrapped in tinfoil otherwise turning on the desktop causes Netflix to stop working on the TV. Where the jokes about an entity living at your office feel a little too real, where no one truly believes in the paranormal but take the superstitions a little too seriously. Don't run this program at 4:50pm. Ask the computer nicely and it may just load what you need. Knock on wood if you joke about the phones going down today. And whatever you do, never run the microwave and the printer at the same time, even though they're on seperate circuits. We're about to head into the winter months, are you prepared? It changes your relationship with technology I think, when you've been to a place where the standard of reliance has to follow the whims of an ancient aura in the air.
