#gross. gross! i do not like this thing. two alternate angles under the cut for those of you who like this thing because i am about to tear #into it so hard. ahem #enamorus #this thing is ugly as fuck. all of the genies were already ugly as fuck and now this thing only makes that worse. all of their therian form #were like MILDLY better but this one takes that trend and just throws it out the window #like the anteater nose is FUNNY especially on a legendary but LORD DON'T MAKE ME LOOK AT IT #not to mention its boss fight taking place in the fucking SWAMP with all the SLOWY WATER #and it just ZOOMS AROUND AND TELEPORTS if i remember correctly #like the LAST fuckin pokémon in the pokédex you can catch and it looks like THIS??? why did we need another genie. what #i understand the trend in gen 8 where they kept adding new legendaries to already established like. groups. like regieleki and regidrago #but THIS group is one that DID NOT NEED ONE #like i can see the additions to the regis!!! they're cool additions and really modernize the trio into a quintet!! but this is just RIDICUL #sorry tumblr cut me off there. this is just RIDICULOUS #ooouuhhhuhuhuh all the other genies are buff men with beards but this one's a laaaady bc it's pink!! and fairy-type!!! and small!! a #NO!!!! #anon i love this but i have a covenant with God so i can't kill Him with you #this reminds me of the time my brother lamented his atheism and my agnosticism on behalf of our religious mother. but i'm not agnostic.#so i clarified i believe in God and that's never changed. i just choose not to worship Him + I think there are multiple truths (incl. gods)#which is shorthand but I've never been able to explain it to others to their satisfaction and it isn't anyone else's business anyway #he thought that was MUCH worse and became so dramatic. he was genuinely so thrown. he fixated on the fact it's heresy.#which I didn't expect because like yes it's heresy but heresy is a doctrinal concept -- it doesn't have any intrinsic meaning.#and not to be dismissive but doctrine is fairly sequestered from God. It's functionally and historically a voidable social contract.#i was involved with the church/attended various bible retreats for several years before leaving. but I didn't leave over God lmao.#my institutional involvement was always contingent on its alignment with my own individual purpose/practice/rituals/bible study/covenant.#which church/community leadership knew and tried to triage in various ways but like. it's not hard to reject authority baselessly derived.#so my present relationship with God isn't any more heretical than it was when I practiced Christianity as a religion.#If anything I was maybe more heretical in funnier and more flagrant ways when I was practicing than I am now.#but anyway. my point is.#i wont help you kill god but I'm always here for heresy.#alternatively i also recommend either (1) listening to god is dead (meet the kids) by british india #which when engaged with meaningfully amounts to the same philosophical state of being as killing God #or (2) forming a reverse orphic mystery cult relationship with Him the way I did when from ages 10-14 #in other words #we can either sacrifice God to the secular age like thomas jefferson and nietzsche #or we can obsessively study the bible @ the cost of enough sleep that we (in brief spurts) access the parts of us inclined towards prophecy #those are the only two approaches to god that I'm capable of partaking in with any sincerity or intellectual honesty #and I'm unfortunately very married to sincerity and intellectual honesty.#(i'm sorry for meeting your very nice compliments with a nonsequitur illustrating why i should live as a hermit in a remote woodland shack)#(but I suppose I'm not sorry enough to remove the nonsequitur from my response prior to publication. so. take from that what you will.)

so so so interesting to me how ppl gauge alternate worlds and its reflections on a character on that scale of morally good versus evil...

#saw a post that was like 'tim and dick are more likely to be evil than jason is' and their list of evidence was all the alternate worlds #where those two dont end up as they are #and although im not super familiar with tim's alternate selves (all ik is it doesnt turn out good for him lol) i dont love their analysis o #dick's alternate selves as evidence of him being that much closer to being 'evil' than jason is #1) i dont like that term of evil for any of the vigilante's #and 2) almost every single version of dick they mentioned was not dick actively choosing to be this darker version of himself #they were ones where he was forced/actively raised/manipulated into doing things not so good #i dont care to actively seek out the post again but they listed dick having been turned into a talon as solid evidence #of his leaning toward evilness compared with a version of jason being a priest in another world #idk it just seemed so strange to me that forced actions from an alternate world weigh on that scale of capableness of morality in a charact #esp when a current canon character like jason actively chooses to do bad stuff that can be considered downright evil #<- this isnt me condemning him as a character btw thats part of what i love about jason is that he intentionally chooses #to present himself in this violent and dramatic way as a show of his split from batman #i digress but still its just intriguing how ppl weigh that kind of stuff together

#even in my own damn au janksjdwjjdsjjd #roselia wasn't even one of the original links that i started writing sodjskdjsj that was uhhh bunny and mask and ares #they were the originals #and ares was meant to be a polar opposite to a botw/totk link but like. in a funny way #(ey's my aoc au link)#hence why the guy's like. almost 7 feet tall despite being a link #because my brain went 'haha botw link short' even though my wild at the time was an average height (5'5)#roselia is 4'10 though. they're short <3 #then i realized that i didn't actually like that version of a botw link and i scrapped them for a while #and then decided to introduce a new botw link and that turned into roselia #who has just. they've moved in. they don't pay rent #and its been like this for tWO YEARS #if you make a links meet au it comes with free blorbos. but watch out!#it still kinda works in the way i originally was intending though because roselia and ares are entirely different characters #like. not alternate timeline versions of each other although their stories are related through aoc/botw/totk #but roselia is short and ares is tall. and roselia is transfemme and ares is transmasc #so it all works!#but like. in a more serious manner this time #because ares went from my haha funny character to a very serious one very fast #he just chills though. like ey just kinda goes with it in a sort of 'you ever have those days where this might as well happen?' sort of way #until the angst comes and then he's less chill <3
